Walking down the lane of apartment blocks on the other side of town, Azriel made his way to Y/n.

Knocking on the wooden door, he almost melted as she opened it. Her hair thrown up haphazardly and secured by a claw clip, she wore a baggy t-shirt down to her knees.

"Hi lovely."

"Hi Az." She moved closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Following her inside, he made himself comfortable on her couch, eyeing the stack of paper and books on her desk.

"You've been studying?"

She nodded settling herself in between his legs, cuddling up to his chest.

"How were your friends?" She asked looking up at him.

"Good" he smiled "I told them about you." he spoke, stroking her hair.

"You did?" She asked with a hint of surprise.

"Yeah, and they asked if you wanted to go have dinner with them. You know, to meet them. Of course, if you don't want to or it's too soon that's fine but-"

Y/n cut him off, smiling up at him "Az, I would love to."

He bent down and kissed her gently on the lips.

"It's a date."

Hey You Should Check Out Freegal!

I'm surprised I've never seen a post on this service before (Or if I did I don't remember it, but if you know of one please send it my way and I'll add it to the queue here!).

Just this week I was clued into Freegal at one of my local libraries and I love it! It's music streaming service somewhat similar to Spotify or Tidal that libraries can get subscriptions for. Not only is it all free for library card holders to use, not only can you stream music with no ads at all, you can download a limited number of songs every week. For free. No weird rules that restrict you by making it only accessible through the app or anything. The MP3 file goes right into your device and it's yours to move or copy or burn to a CD or WHATEVER non-commercial use you wanna do with it!

To use it, you'll just need a card from a participating library (You can search for your library on the Freegal website) and an email address to make an account. You can access it through your browser on a desktop/laptop, or there's an app you can download through your phone's app store.

If you're like me and want to stop relying on music streaming services, Freegal is a great place to start! The exact limit differs between libraries as far as I'm aware, but it lets you download three to five songs a week, resetting on Monday. Even after you've hit your weekly limit, you can still add songs to a wishlist to have a convenient place for everything you want to download in the future!

I'd say one of the only downsides is that the selection isn't as big as the other services like Spotify. You're probably not going to find many of your favorite indie artists on there, but there's still a really decent selection and you're more than likely going to find something you're familiar with and enjoy! Also the app is...a bit rough around the edges and slow to load things at times (at least on Android, I haven't seen it on an iPhone) but it's not too bad. Imo everything else makes up for it.

I hope this post is informative and that you all have cards to participating libraries! If you don't, consider looking around for other libraries close by! It's a great service that I highly encourage you take advantage of, and increased awareness and demand for it might encourage more libraries to participate!

Instead of it being kiri could you switch it so instead we’re the one who has a severe seizure?? maybe a little different? Not too similar to how kiri’s whole situation went.

And the whole family especially our younger siblings go into a panic bc this has NEVER happened before.

it should have been a normal day. it truly should have! but, alas, the sully family would forever keep it from being anywhere near “normal.” especially in their new home.

the group of siblings had been overwhelmed with honor when tsireya offered to show them the metkayina spirit tree settled beneath the waters of the cove of the ancestors.

as soon as [y/n] broke through the surface, immersing herself in a completely different world than she ever grew up around, she could feel the change in atmosphere. there was something different, something deeper that exuded itself through the cove. at the feeling, she could not fight the natural smile. it reminded her of her home, of the omaticaya tree of voices. oh, how she missed it.

the underwater bioluminescence highlighted features upon each of her companions, the beautiful splatter of glowing freckles littering each of their cheeks. [y/n] sent a cheeky grin towards her youngest sister, excitement omitting from every one of her movements.

the further they swam, the more in awe that [y/n] seemed to be. it was absolutely gorgeous. the scenery was jaw-dropping,

“come,” tsireya signaled, gently grabbing her own queue as they neared the tree. the four sully siblings that joined her on the journey to the spirit tree, neteyam, kiri, tuk, and [y/n], all followed suit.

the closer [y/n] swam to the tree, the louder her heartbeat got. she couldn’t help but stare in complete awe, the purple light omitting onto her face. she smiled, grabbing her hair, and she connected it to the underwater tree.

immediately, warmth flooded through her body. her smile broadened, and her fingertips tingled. at the comforting sensation, she felt herself slip from reality, allowing her eyes to close as she shifted into another world.

when she opened her eyes again, [y/n] was met with a familiar sight of home. she let out a laugh of joy, spin around as she took in the sight. she’d missed the forest, but as the eldest child, as the role model, she felt as if that longing feeling of being homesick had been pushed down. it was a common role that [y/n] had to take as the eldest. push down her feelings and prioritize that of her baby siblings.

[y/n] took a step forward, feet sinking into the wet mud. she paused, wiggling her toes, a moment of nostalgia playing back. once she looked back up, she felt smaller as she was met with the comforting eyes of her father.

he looked younger, much less stressed than how he did now. he looked happy.

“daddy!” she cried, stubby arms reaching out to him.

jake laughed, immediately swooping down to grab his daughter. “i’m gonna get you!” he taunted, voice teasing and soft.

[y/n]’s small voice shrieked with joy, turning and attempting to run. unfortunately, her father was far too quick, his large hands grabbing her by the waist.

she cried out, laughter flooding her voice as he lifted her into the sky. [y/n]’s eyes squeezed shut as he soared her through the air. and then, everything changed.

the wind picked up, and she felt lighter. the air was thin from where she flew. at the change in her senses, she instantly opened her eyes wide, her stomach crawling into her throat as she took in the sight.

she flew through the skies atop an unfamiliar ikran. the ground was very far beneath her, it was merely just her and the atmosphere.

the one thing that did accompany her, however, was the sight of sky-people technology, specifically that of the rda. it was large and dangerous. ammo was stacked within the ship that flew in front of her. she ship that she was flying towards.

[y/n] screamed at the creature to stop, but it was as if she couldn’t open her mouth. she had no free will, in fact. no, she was merely watching the scene unfold from eyes that weren’t her own.

she gasped as she jumped forward and off of the ikran, bow pointed at a soldier standing aboard the ship. a fierce battle cry left her throat raw, tears pricking her eyes from the wind that pierced them.

her feet thudded against the metal ground, grabbing men and throwing them one by one. she was actually doing quite well!

she smacked a few with her bow, multiple ending up thrown overboard. but, just when she was getting to the last of them, one of the humans released a round of bullets. each one embedded themselves into her chest.

[y/n] screamed at the feeling, warm pain spreading from her chest outwards. she could feel it in each of her limbs, a feeling of a throbbing numbness.

before she knew it, she was free falling, the wind roaring in her ears. and then, it all flashed to complete black.

[y/n] awoke from the spirit tree, and she couldn’t breath. her chest hurt, it was so tight. she could not feel her arms and legs, they were numb.

immediately, she detached her queue, stumbling backwards as best as she could underwater. cries left her throat, but all that came out was bubbles upon bubbles.

every second that went by, her vision began to darken. she could not see, could not hear, could not think. everything hurt. so bad.

neteyam was the first to notice. it was almost as if, through his urge to protect, he instantly felt that something was off in the universe, and as a result, he left the spirit tree earlier than anyone else.

at the sight of his big sister floating helplessly, screaming as loud as she possibly could, his heart burst. what happened? he was quick to act, bringing everybody else back to reality as he swam over to [y/n].

when the eldest sully felt her brother’s hands grab her’s, she felt a little bit more at peace, although not by much. all of her senses were out of whack, simply put, and she was in so much pain.

she barely even noticed as neteyam swam her upwards to the surface, and, thanks to her lack of oxygen from screaming, she kept fading in and out of consciousness.

once they broke the surface, the first thing to leave her throat was a scream. “it hurts so bad!” a sob took over her voice, each word shakier than the one before.

“sh,” neteyam attempted to calm her down as he brought her over to his ilu, getting her to lay on top of the creature rather than float in the water.

beside them, tuk bobbed up and down with tsireya, kiri, and rotxo. “[y/n]!” she cried, repeating herself a multitude of times. kiri clasped a gentle hand on her shoulder to quiet her down.

“what happened?” kiri panicked aloud. “what is happening, sister?”

the only answer she got was another choked cry. “it hurts. oh, it hurts so bad.”

“go!” tsireya called their attention. “you must get her back to the village.” neteyam nodded, boarding the ilu as he wrapped his arms safely around his sister.

“let’s go.”

neteyam and his ilu shot into the distance, kiri, tuk, rotxo, and tsireya not far behind. kiri held the youngest sully between her arms, attempting to comfort her, but it was extremely difficult considering kiri herself was worried.

the only reason neteyam was composed was because he had to assume authority, as weird as it was considering [y/n] was always the one to fill that role. as soon as he swam into the docks screaming for his parents, his heart began to rise to his throat.

when he watched his big sister get carried away in the arms of their father, pain panged deep within his chest, worry overtaking all of his emotions.

not one of the sully siblings sleep all night, especially lo’ak upon returning and learning that he was not there to help.

upon waking up a few days later, after a multitude of different attempts from norm and maxwell to ronal and eywa, she is immediately attacked by love and care from every member of her family.

when [y/n] first wakes up, she cannot help but cry. although she is no longer in pain, she can’t get the image out of her head. the way that na’vi died, no matter who he was. it was sad, it was gruesome, it was unfair.

the one thing to bring [y/n] back to reality was the small body of tuk who laid herself on top of her, the youngest sully’s arms wrapping themselves around her big sister.

“[y/n]!’ she cried, her small hands laying against [y/n]’s. “i am so glad you’re okay.”

once tuk noticed her new sense of consciousness, it did not take long for the rest of the family to pay their honorary visits, each of them having their own sense of emotion to them.

neteyam’s was more relieved than [y/n] could have imagined. he was so worried, so concerned for his big sister. he told her about his prayer to eywa, he told her about how scared she’d made him. she couldn’t help but smile, another round of tears pricking her eyes ( this time more bittersweet than sad ).

kiri was quite teasing the way that she threatened, “if you ever do that again, i’m going to kill you!” she told her of the way they’d all been so worried for [y/n], the way they’d all forgotten that their oldest sister actually had feelings and could get hurt. “we’ve just been so used to you taking care of us!”

lo’ak told jokes. he updated her on the ways of life in the past few days, told her of the reef. a part of lo’ak wanted to avoid speaking of her event because of how difficult it was to visit what could’ve happened, so he avoided it with his humor. as he always seemed to do.

tuk didn’t leave her side once. she made bracelets for her healing sister, she ranted about the reef, she made dinner with her. there was so much to do, so much to talk about! after a few days of [y/n] being asleep and healing, tuk had a lot of quality time to catch up on.

neytiri and jake, of course, were just so happy she was okay. it took a while for them to get rid of her siblings, wanting them to get their own time together before they had to remind her of whatever’d happened. but, they needed to understand.

once neytiri asked her, tears immediately pricked her eyes. as [y/n] retold the events, she had to pause multiplied times to keep herself from choking on her tears.

by the end of it, jake and neytiri exchanged glances. the story was far too familiar. but, they also decided that was a problem for another time. they just had to thank eywa for keeping her alive.

overall, the sully family learned a valuable lesson. just because [y/n] seems invincible does not mean that she actually is.

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the polls. I'm aware it annoys some people but it doesn't bother me because I'm enjoying the heck out of Dungeon Meshi. However, I do feel like I created a bit of a monster since it became a meme. Then there were the messages saying my Senshi polls have contributed to the downfall of the British monarchy. I'm confused. Was that a meme? Did I miss something? I think I need someone to explain it to me.

Plus there are plenty more Senshi polls in the queue even after I did that queue clean out day and I will keep making Senshi polls as long as requests keep coming in. My policy has always been. I will make the poll as long as it follows my rules. I don't care who or what the character is. That's why we have had several polls that I would classify as cursed or meme polls. At least the tags have been hilarious on those.

First of all, thank you for your kind words and for your consideration here!

We do have a lot of asks, both in the inbox and in the queue, but in all honesty, it's what we've signed up for. It's great that people want to create more disabled characters are open to discussing how they can do so in an appropriate way!

That said, we do advise that people check our pinned post to see if their question has already be answered and to see if it's something that we answer at all.

We also do get a lot of research questions (Which we don't take). Some of them can be difficult to find answers for, which is understandable, but we do get a lot of questions that can very easily be answered with a quick Google search.

This blog should not be your first or your only resource for writing these characters!

While I am unaware of any similar blogs, there are a few blogs mentioned in our pinned post that talk about and answer questions about specific disabilities. I'd suggest reading through some of their posts! Who knows, they might answer your question and, even if they don't, it's some good info to have anyways.

Not advice, just some things I thought of in no particular order

Totally my opinion but I like when people make intro posts for their WIPs or published works - something that quickly explains what the story is about. There's no right or wrong way to do this! It can be a formal summary, a bulleted list, or just a one line pitch, just something people can refer to if they want more context for what you're talking about.

The more you talk about your work, the more familiar people will become - even if it feels like you're shouting into the void. Ask games are an easy way to get started!

Similar to the above, another easy way to get started is by jumping in when people post questions or prompts. For example, I queue posts for Mondays with a prompt to help people choose a writing excerpt to share, but lots of other people do similar things (and of course I'm blanking on examples but I promise this is a thing that exists.)

You won't be able to keep up with the works of every single other writer you follow, but you will become familiar with a handful. Engaging with those people is a good way to build relationships! It'll also show you examples of how other people choose to advertise their works

This one might sound like a bummer but I promise it's not - don't sweat if you don't get a lot of engagement, especially on longer pieces. Lots of people scroll their dashes at times when they can't read long pieces of writing - I have a fun habit of scrolling tumblr right when I wake up and I can usually read every third word. It's fine! Keep sharing! And don't be afraid to reblog your own work. The fact that it's so easy to share and re-share "old" posts is one of my favorite tumblr things honestly

Hey, so, I was reading your request rules n stuff and I do have an idea but I'm not sure if it'd be considered a character (and therefore I'd have to commission it) or not.

I made some TADC oc concept art before e2 came out, one of which was a scalie, and happens to look Incredibly like Gummigoo. (Og concept was gator XD ... then salmon ish then a spinosaurous) and after e2 I kinda decided to scrap em? Or well, that was the idea but then I was thinking. If I kept them, and they joined the circus, how would Pomni react? Because of how similar they look to gummigoo (rip)

Essentially I want to ask if this (Pomni meeting/reacting to seeing reader, who looks like Gummigoo. Platonic. Between Pomni and reader, at least. idrc if it's Pomni x gummigoo or just platonic) is something you'd be down to write and if it'd be something I'd have to commission or if it's something you would/could queue.

And if I'd have to commission it; if you're commissions are open right now, and what are your prices n stuff?

Pomni x reader who looks like gummigoo

Helio hello!! Sorry for taking so long to get to this, I got side tracked and queue stuff doesnt make things move all that fast <\3 .. I dont think this goes against the oc thing at least not totally since it's still very vague and can be applied to general stuff!! To answer the comm stuff, I do intend on allowing ocs for comms and raffles however neither are currently an option <\3

she has a lot of mixed feelings, honestly even if this werent a platonic post i dont think she would be comfortable starting romantic with you given the circumstances... so good thing this isnt a romantic post!

i can see her avoiding you in the beginning for a long while, she doesnt hate you and she feels horrible if you think she does

you didnt know gummigoo so someone is going to have to fill you in so you understand why pomni is so distant with you and seems to shut herself off when you enter the room

you might be able to coax her to talk about it with enough time and patience, you get to learn a little bit about gummigoo... at least as much as pomni got to know in the short time she knew him

opens up about some guilt shes been harboring for bringing him to the main grounds, she appreciates that you try to tell her that she couldnt have known... but it seems to fall on deaf ears, at least the first few times you tell her

she doesnt look at you all that much when talking to you, her eyes are always darting around or fixed downwards

time is your best friend here, theres a lot of guilt here and a lot of hopelessness in the situation

Return of the Mammalians and Side Order are Blueprints for the Future of Splatoon

Y’know, I think we might be looking at ROTM the wrong way. Sure, it has a pretty shitty story, but I’ve noticed a lot of similarities to Mario and Zelda.

A common issue i have with most 3D Mario games is that the level design often suffers from “island syndrome”, where the locations of each respective world feel isolated and closed off from one another, causing problems with forming a truly cohesive and interconnected world. Splatoon’s single player campaigns in particular are also quite notorious for this, with Octo Valley and Canyon being sought out as the worst offenders.

With that being said, I’ve noticed a trend with the most recent installments of both series that seem to be making an honest effort to break away from the problem, or at least present a more conventional solution.

The overworld of Alterna is designed similarly to Lake Lapcat from Bowser’s Fury, with the whole terrain consisting of different islands that are all interconnected together. What’s most interesting about both these locations is that, rather than the main setting being broken up into sections, the starting player is essentially dropped into an environment where everything is easily accessible in one place, and transportation between one area to the next does not require any off-screen transition.

Something else I’ve noticed about the overworld of Alterna is how the placement of Kettles seems to be inspired by the Shrines from Breath of the Wild; both games essentially have them sprawled all over the place, and entering one typically brings the player into a room where they must solve puzzles or go head to head with a powerful foe. In Octo Expansion, the player being granted Mem Cakes is not unlike that of the Spirit Orbs that the Monks give you (ironic since Monolith Soft worked on both Octo Expansion and BOTW).

Return of the Mammalians seems to evolve this similarity even further by invoking a higher sense of exploration and hazards into the overworld of the mode’s main setting. The terrain is blocked by Fuzzy Ooze, of which will harm the player if they touch it and requires them to target a huge glowing Fuzzball to clean up the area; such a hazard is not at all too far off from the Malice that is scattered all throughout Hyrule Kingdom in BOTW, of which dissipates when a glowing eyeball is destroyed. Additionally, successfully completing a Kettle in ROTM decrypts text from the Alterna Logs. Completing every Kettle rewards the player with one final log, similar to how the Monks reward you with the Hero of the Wild set for finding all the Shrines.

Perhaps the most significant similarity, however, is the fact that both Bowser’s Fury and ROTM introduce whole new gameplay mechanics but still relies on using recycled assets. For the first time in the series, the player’s Hero Gear can be upgraded through a Skill Tree of different abilities, replacing the usual mechanic of upgrading individual weapons. Upgrade points are typically found by surveying each area with your ink, and the game even acknowledges the many trinkets you find buried in the snow for your efforts.

The same rules can even be applied to the Side Order, what with the Palettes functioning as Skill Trees that can be continuously upgraded through the use of color chips that provide many different abilities as you ascend the Spire. There’s even permanent upgrades you can unlock through Marina’s hacks that can affect the difficulty of your runs. I would even argue that replaying the game with different palettes might also have been a new idea for story progression that was being considered.

Kirby is a series that also borrows some queues from Bowser’s Fury. The Magolor Epilogue campaign in particular introduces new things like upgradable skills, maze-like maps and added emphasis towards Magolor as a character in his own standalone adventure. The latest Zelda game, Echoes of Wisdom, might even be onto something with how it makes Zelda the playable character for the first time.

Anyways, the point I’m trying to make is that ROTM and Side Order aren’t really campaigns. They’re technical demonstrations. A possible glimpse into what Nintendo might have planned for Splatoon 4 in the future.

What if the level design will lean more towards areas of exploration, where we’ll have more of an opportunity to freely roam around environments that feel grounded like Alterna and inking turf feels rewarding? What if the new abilities that we can add onto our skill tree impact the experience of the adventure in a meaningful way? What if story progression is tied to clearing certain conditions and characters, encouraging multiple play throughs and ensuring there’s always something for the player to do?

What if Splatoon takes all of the attributes that it borrows from Mario and Zelda and embraces them?

Like, there’s so much new stuff they threw at us in Splatoon 3, and it lines up perfectly with what Nintendo’s been doing with big names like Mario, Zelda and Kirby lately.

Bowser’s Fury opens the door to new gameplay possibilities by incorporating a new navigation system, Echoes of Wisdom gives us the chance to finally play as Zelda, and Magolor Epilogue further evolves the possibilities of other characters taking the spotlight in their own adventures.

And now, Splatoon 3 is continuing to evolve its single player offerings with fresh new features that set the groundwork for bigger and better things to come.

do you get a lot of submissions for the same questions? if you get a submission similar to a poll you’ve already done, do you post it, or discount it? are there submissions that follow the guidelines that you choose not to make into polls? if so, what sorts of factors might cause you to reject or pass on a poll?

I do get a fair number of repeat submissions. A lot of those have been for things that are actually still in the queue, so there's no way for people to know that it's already been submitted. Simple answer: if it's a repeat, I ignore it.

More nuanced answer: If it's basically the same as a poll that's currently in the queue, I'll check if the repeat submission adds any options or details to the question, and add those to the queued poll if possible. If it's a different question in the same vein or if one question is broad and one is narrow, I'll probably run each one separately. If it's a repeat of something that's already been posted, I'll ignore it.

The exception: The handful of questions that were posted very early on this blog had a very small response pool. Some of those questions have been resubmitted recently and I've decided to repost them since they'll likely get quite a bit more traction now.

Other rejections: There are occasional submissions that are not repeat questions but which I choose not to post, yes. The vast majority of submissions get posted, but some things I've chosen not to publish have included:

Polls that are clearly copied from another poll/tournament blog, e.g. "who did you vote for in Best Blorbo Of The Year?". I think the results on the Best Blorbo Blog answer that question already, and I'm not interested in being involved in tournaments.

Polls that I think are going to stir up genuine harm, invite violent or hateful speech into the comments or my inbox, or trivialize serious current events.

Polls where the submitter is just fishing for people to agree with their unpopular opinion, e.g. "who else thinks that pumpkin spice lattes suck?". When I can, I'll try to spin these in a more neutral direction, e.g. "what's your opinion on pumpkin spice lattes?", but that's not always possible.

For the most part, though, people submitting polls have been considerate, which I appreciate! Like I said, the majority of submissions do get posted.

SUNNY

he's pretty patient, but he might just let someone else explain things to you as he doesn't like to talk a lot. he might act all frustrated to joke around but in reality he doesn't care, similar to how he is with kel

he thinks he's slow, so he doesn't judge anyone else for it

(he's actually incredibly smart, just doesn't put a lot of effort into it! he'll help you with schoolwork if you're struggling, although he might get a little frustrated)

might just stare at you until you understand whatever he's trying to say. he means it lightheartedly but you have to admit it's a little scary

he doesn't really care though. he doesn't have anywhere to be so you can take your time.

AUBREY

she might get a little frustrated sometimes, specifically if you don't get social queues right away or if you fail to pick up what she's putting down

anytime she gets angry or says something mean to you though, it's lighthearted. she's so used to bantering with kel that she might accidentally do it with you

so she might call you a moron every now and then but it's force of habit, she doesn't actually think you're stupid.

she also feels slow sometimes, like when she doesn't catch on something or if she's doing bad in school. she is generally really smart but screws up sometimes

AUBREY actually really enjoys study sessions with you. she's a good teacher and even though she might tease you occasionally, she's genuine and doesn't judge you

KEL

KEL can also be very slow. he isn't exactly stupid, he just prefers to act dumber to avoid the responsibilities of being smart. he is a little slow though LOL

sometimes you two just have moments where you both have no idea what's going on and you just kinda look at each other and giggle

HERO might force you two to study together in things you're falling behind in ... although those study sessions more often than not just turn into playing games or goofing off

he never gets upset if you need more time to process something or need him to explain it again. he really doesn't mind! he can sit there all day re-explaining everything

overall he doesn't even notice that you're slower than everyone else. out of everyone he relates the most! if you feel unheard or anything he's quick to listen and pat you on the back and give a pep speech

HERO

HERO isn't what i'd call slow, but he does have moments sometimes where he needs a second to take it all in. like you say something to him and 10 seconds later he goes "what?"

other than that, he's at the top of his class!!! if you're struggling with homework he's always willing to help.

he doesn't get frustrated with you but he might chuckle desperately and scratch his head when you ask how to do something for the 100th time

HERO's a patient person. he often had to watch over KEL when they were younger, and lord knows how patient he had to be sometimes

but he still loves KEL dearly!! he doesn't think anyone's worth is anyhow related to their intelligence or speedy thinking. he thinks everyone has it inside them, and they just have to apply themselves!!

MARI

she might get frustrated if she thinks you're deliberately trying to be a class clown, but other than that she's very patient!!!

she'll explain everything in detail to you, eventually she'll just give up and demonstrate it

might tease you for it, but stops if you don't like it

she's never really been one to judge anyone for stuff like being slow in school. if anything she was one of KEL's biggest supporters! she was always there for him when nobody else took him seriously

so same goes for you! she'll listen intently to any frustrations and will try to help you academically with certain areas she's good at. overall she doesn't get frustrated easily but might scold you for being silly

BASIL

he might chuckle awkwardly like hero if he needs to keep explaining something to you but he really doesn't mind!

will help you with homework if you need it, he's pretty smart

sometimes he feels slow himself , though he really isn't. if anything he's fast, not necessarily at the top of his class but he does a very good job of analyzing and recognizing

i like to think he's rlly good with geometry so if you hate that he'll absolutely tutor you. if you ever find yourself struggling with an upcoming test he'll gladly stay up with you all night to study, even if he's exhausted

it's soso difficult to see BASIL get angry,, you literally never have to worry about him getting frustrated with you. literal angel

however he will shoot daggers into the back of anyone who shittalks you,,, he'll diffuse a conflict between you and them while secretly praying on their downfall
