#ask #non mdzs #My health journey has been: Hernia -> acid reflux -> Vocal pain due to aforementioned reflux -> chest infection.#I'm terrified to know what's about to hit me next. Please let it be something kind. PLEASE.#The consequence of living with linguists is that you'll wake up with a wacked up voice -#suddenly you're sitting you down in front of a program called something like Praat having your shimmer and jitter levels calibrated.#They gave me a GRBAS of 33012. I have a fun thing called a pitch break where a whole octave just does not exist.#My vocal pain was bad enough I ended up seeing a speech pathologist and that whole experience was super neat!#I learnt a lot about voice - to be honest I might make a little comic on it after some more research. Fascinating stuff.#For example; your mental perception of our voice modulates the muscles of the vocal folds and larynx.#meaning that when you do have changes (inflammation = more mass = lower frequency)#your brain automatically attempts to correct it to what it 'should sound like'. Leading to a lot more vocal strain and damage!#And it gets really interesting for trans voice care as well - because the mental perception of one's voice isn't based on an existing sampl #So a good chunk of trans voice training is also done with the idea of finding one's voice and retraining the brain to accept it. Neat!#Parkinsonial Voice also has this perception to musculature link! The perception is that they are talking at a loud/normal volume #but the actual voice is quite breathy and weak. So vocal training works on practicing putting more effort into the voice #and retraining the brain to accept the 'loud' voice as 'normal'.#Isn't the human body fascinating?#Anyhow; Now I have vocal exercises and strategies to reduce strain and promote healing.#Which is a lot better than my previous strategy of yelling AAAH in my car until my 'voice smoothed out'.#You can imagine the horror on the speech path's face. I am an informed creature now.#I'm my own little lab rat now. I love learning and researching. Welcome to my tag lab. My brain now wants a story where Optimus and Megatron, during the war, basically get abducted by other aliens (let’s say the Quintessons or something), and basically the rest of the story is them trying to escape, survive, and make their way back to Cybertron, encountering a severe number of inconveniences along the way. They’re also forming a temporary alliance because they realize pretty quickly that they’re both out of their depth here individually and have to team up to survive

But like it gets to the point where by the time they finally get back to Cybertron, they’re basically just like “oh right, the war. Yeah how about we just call it off” because they’ve gone through so much shit together they just don’t really have it in them to fight each other anymore

Honestly it’d probably have to be relegated to fanfic format due to the only Transformers in this story, outside of maybe a few brief appearances, being Optimus and Megatron. Not unless you give everyone else back on Cybertron something else to do, or have this story between them be the side plot

#it started off as Transformers One them bc I’m fairly certain they’ll team up to fight the Quintessons #though granted it doesn’t have to be #also in my brain they probably go through some design changes #Optimus might have had Megatron’s arm stitched on to him and vice versa #also I’m imagining Megatron sacrificing himself to save Optimus and potentially the rest of Cybertron #but Optimus being like “not on my watch” and managing to at least get his spark chamber out of there #so he’s still alive but he’s literally only his spark now #so later on they need to find some workaround and Megatron probably gets a whole new body by the end of it #they finally get back to Cybertron and they are completely different #both in character and definitely body #I don’t know #Unicron probably also ends up as a threat they deal with along the way #they experience all the horrors #transformers #megatron #optimus prime #story ideas #fanfiction

like again i rebloged Rhine post because i don’t have anything to add, they said it pretty well. its not the bike or the leather thats the ‘root’ issue its just the fact, its not creative at all, like ? Ok a bike? A leather suite? A flaming hair? You put these three together they don’t automatically become something unique and fun they just be three things that are together, snd thats what i feel with Mavuika, she feel like scraps of design concepts that don’t exactly do much.

my original thought was she would be like the Shiva sisters from FFXIII who are two mechanical sisters that combo attract with you/ heal/ buff then as a final shot they combine to make a bike (vid here) so i thought her bike would be some what sentient but ig not?? Kaveh have a talking flying bag, we had a full adventure with a boat, we fought an evil sword AND give it therapy but a sentient bike is too much ig, the modern motorcycle isn’t a deal breaker it’s giving it history and personality i suppose

and thats just one idea, im not saying they should have made the bike sentient im just saying be a little creative here, a bike AND?? What about the bike??

#okay random story time i don't know why im narrating this or how i even stumbled upon this memory rn #but i generally do sad vents in the tags and for a change this is a funny one #so back in highschool (i say highschool but i mean junior college) i used to visit this park near my house a lot #i was an sg kid back then and the thing about parks there is that they're kinda beach-parks and they have the best cycling/running tracks #they're also really massive parks so i used to go often. sometimes bicycling. other times walking. yeah. the park was like my sanctuary #anyway. there are quite a few bike rental areas in the park and there was a cute lil shop next to this one particular rental place #and they sold like biscuits and water and icecreams and stuff and i went there a lot #and on one particular day i went there and there was this guy around my age part timing at that shop #now again this might be culture specific bc i dont see it in india but part timing in uni/pre-uni is pretty common is sg #a lot of shops and restaurants employ teenagers to twenty something ppl for part time jobs... anyway im just adding context #point is that i had walked to the park with my mum that day and she told me to go buy a couple icecreams so i went to the shop #and i saw this guy around my age and like. not to be a simp but this dude was so pretty?#like he saw someone had come to the counter so he looked up and shot a smile and i thought i got slapped by sunlight #i could spend the next several lines going on about his pretty tan skin and his glowing raven eyes but this is pathetic enough so ill stop #anyway he saw me and smiled really wide (customer service smile- i thought to myself) and i smiled back and asked for icecreams or whatever #and then this guy started getting chatty right. so he was all 'you come here (to the park) often right? ive seen you with your bike a lot'#see now. the problem with me is that i always think im bothering people. this poor dude was attempting to make conversation #and i was replying with one word answers #and i wasn't even realizing that he didnt want that. bc he kept asking more questions and i. kept. shutting them down.#then when he gave me the icecream he was all 'are you here alone? icecream alone is no fun... i could keep you company if you want..?'#which. he was being really cute about right. but because im so fucking dense i was all 'oh no i came with my mom actually'#and he went 'aw man' in this really cute but faux sad way which i didnt understand at the time and i left and then #after three full fucking days. i realized this man was tryna hit on me?#and then i went to the park like a week later and he was gone. poof. i even thought of asking the uncle in charge of that place #then i got too embarrassed and chickened out #yeah so turns out my neurodivergence neutralizes any sort of rizz that comes my way #i could've been chilling with a cute boyf rn but no😩 this is my destiny #megumi in the tags

Maybe a little overly serious approach to the situation, but y'all have GOT to be more respectful towards the creators you watch and consume content for. fWhip's message about getting a lot of hate is honestly abysmal.

Like, don't get me wrong, I love lore-related series! I think they're a lot of fun and I love watching them.But give non-lore series a chance! They're also a lot of fun!

These creators are all responsible adults who are very capable of creating boundaries for themselves and deciding amongst themselves what rules they want to follow when joining a project.

Obviously, there are many viewers and community members who this isn't directed at. :D

Please don't send hate to anyone, it's not helpful. If you don't like something, don't engage with it. Just leave it at that. Show respect to the community you're apart of, and to the creators that head it.

(It's fine to be annoyed with something and talk about it, but don't force a creator to see that negativity. It's not benefiting anyone.) The more hate a creator gets, the less they engage with and organize fun things for the community. Please remember to be kind.

By far the funniest reasoning I've heard against voting for Kamala Harris is that she was/is a cop. She's not. Kamala Harris was a prosecutor.

These are not the same thing. These are so obviously not the same thing that it boggles the mind anyone would think so. Yes, cops and prosecutors work together. Yes, the US criminal justice system is incredibly flawed.

But one trains for 6 months and has the authority to use lethal force while not being required to know the law they're enforcing. The other has to spend 7 years to pursue higher education, 3 of which spent exclusively on law, and has a direct counterbalance when performing their job.

If you want to hate Kamala Harris for being a prosecutor, go do that. But don't pretend she's a cop to make it easier for you.
