so far in qsmp ive seen several mentions of his wings being screwed up.

Apparently pre-purgatory he hurt his wings. Then apparently he healed them during purgatory. And then at the end of purgatory he hurt them or something (he was using his wings to carry like the peeps over to the boat to escape and they.. broke??? or well durability on the elytra went poof. i dont know what you'd call a flightless bird, like how you'd refer to their wings.? i guess just broken?)

4. a story idea you haven’t written yet

hmmm I have quite a lot of those HAHA

I guess I'll say the two that I'll probably be writing the second I finish fftsr:

first, that Slay the Princess shuake AU that I keep insisting I'll write lmao. i WILL but I still have several 100k of longfic to write first.... I'm thinking it'll be somwhere in the ballpark of 50k maybe? (plus I want to make plenty of art to accompany it) but knowing me that may well turn into 100k HA

the second is a "Strikers, but Akechi trips into the plot before Ren and the other PT get the chance" AU that's inspired by a fic with the same premise that i am pretty sure is abandoned- it only got three chapters in, so if I were to write it, it would completely be my own ideas aside from the initial premise (and boy do I have some ideas HAHA I am quite excited to get around to this (and I haven't read the og fic in a while so i barely remember the setup + plus i'd want to make it different anyway (sooo AU brain gets to go ham, is my point)))

Akechi insists they’re rivals, like he never grew out of his sentai phase, which makes it all the more annoying when Ren has to admit that he agrees with the term. He makes a point not to say it aloud- only laughing with a condescending lilt that always makes Akechi’s eyes narrow in a glare whenever the word is brought up.

I do want to note that the whole "women are allowed to dress masculine and wear trousers" thing needs to be viewed in its historical context:

People fought for generations to be allowed to dress that way. They fought hard to be allowed to wear pants. Blue jeans were a symbol of feminist revolution. Women were barred from workplaces and schools for wearing them.

This is not some a natural fact that women dressing masculine is less shocking and humiliating. That normalization was fought for and hard-won.

And yet so many people erase the struggles of those people who fought to make that happen and pretend that it's just normal and natural that people don't see women "dressed like men" as ridiculous.

The Marriage of Figaro has what's called a "breeches role" which is a woman wearing men's clothes playing am ale role. This was done partly due to the vocal range requirements, but in many cases it was done comedically. It was risque and sexualized or comic relief that a woman was dressed as a man.

Anti-suffragette posters mock women wearing pants - well they were bloomers and split skirts back then - and mocking more masculine cut styles of clothes. This was meant to portray this as ridiculous.

They mocked the "new woman" in Weimar Germany, lamenting that they were too masculine.

Women were killed and institutionalized in the struggle to make this happen. It really fucking bothers me the way it's framed as "people just don't find it as weird when women dress masculine."

Yes they fucking did. Until women and transmasculine people fought for their right to wear what they want. It's normalized because people struggled to normalize it.

And it's not normal everywhere. There are many countries where it's still illegal for women to wear pants. Afghanistan, for example.

Even in the US, it's forbidden and considered ridiculous in groups like the FLDS, the Amish, and the Hutterites.

We are flattening and erasing the struggles of women when we say these things. I know we're trying to build theory here but you can't build solid theory on a foundation of lies.

Ya know when people told me "when you're finally safe enough that you can leave survival mode and start to let go of and process your c-ptsd/trauma things are probably going to get really, really bad before they slowly start to get better" I thought that was reasonable. I did not understand that by "things are going to get bad" they meant "you're going to find yourself in the worst mental state of your entire life, but dw, that means it's working" and tbh I simply wish someone had been more clear.

Edit: If everyone could please take a minute and think about what it must feel like to be struggling and then have multiple strangers say to your face that they find the prospect of going through what you're going through so horrifying that they'd rather kill themselves and then stop leaving comments like that I would greatly appreciate it.
