well, there is a total solar eclipse happening early in the month and throughout the month there will be multiple planets joining up with chiron and the north node. this month there will be a theme of reliability, accountability, and dependability.

it's aries season so there will be a focus on the self but in a practical sense, in the sense where you consider your ability to be self-reliant and your ability to take accountability for yourself. it seems that many people will be examining the connections in their life - especially friendships - and they will be questioning how supportive they have been towards others and how supportive others have been towards them. there will be reflection on situations with the realization of 'damn, i could have handled that better' happening this month.

the general advice is to not rely heavily on others or pass blame, take matters into your own hands and choose to do the right thing. and for those of you who are in bad situations or around people who do you no good, try to remember that you deserve better and that you can create better for yourself.

He had been using hundreds and hundreds of spells just to spy on you and it had revealed to be useless: all you ever did was look at cards, listen to ten different horoscopes every day, look at shiny (fake) crystals and taking tests on the internet.

It almost looked as if you didn’t have anything better to do.

Still, even while doing nothing you were more beautiful than any painting from the Renessaince.

And, you believing in zodiac signs, would have made it a lot easier for him to convince you to leave your normal life and run away with him.

Maybe, by showing you he was magic, you would instantly fall for him and beg him to take you with him and marry you.

And he wouldn’t even have to kidnap you!

He grinned at this, it would be perfect.

And so one day he just appeared at your door, holding a shiny stone (like the one you liked so much) and hoping you’d open him the door.

He awaited.

And awaited.

Then he remembered he didn’t ring.

Rang.

You opened the door and got face to face to a guy who looked just a bit older than you, holding a beautiful amethyst.

You took the amethyst from him (thinking he was a postman) and closed the door in front of him.

But then a thought popped in his head.

He could show you some magic! That would make you shut up about that zodiac signs rubbish.

And so he conjured some energy in his hands and he created around him a sort of pyrotechnic colourful show so good that some of your neighbours noticed you and the wizard and took out their phones to take a video.

You stared at him.

That was such Gemini behaviour, so unpredictable.

He was surely a Gemini.

“You’re, like, a Gemini aren’t you?” You asked convinced to have gotten it right.

But he shook his head, again, while continuing the show with almost nonchalance, sad that you didn’t seem impressed.

So he stepped up his game, creating bigger, more colourful flames, creating animal shapes and beautiful stories.

That would surely amaze you!

But you were too focused thinking from what sign he could be from.

“YOU ARE A VIRGO!” you shouted.

He shook his head.

“A… Scorpio?” You asked.

He looked at you, puzzled, shook his head.

“TAURUS!” You yelled

He shook his head, almost feeling sad on how you were ignoring all he was doing.

Maybe he should have just kidnapped you, it wouldn’t have hurt his feelings so much.

But nooo… you had to continue asking.

“Erm… Cancer?” You asked, uncertain.

He didn’t look like someone from cancer.

And he shook his head, again.

“Then you must be a libra” you said.

“What?! Than… Aquarius?” You questioned, unconvinced.

Today really wasn’t your day.

Reading a Birth Chart 101: The Complete Guide

(Part I): Intro to Intrigue

Glossary: Astrology websites, explanation of sun in all zodiac signs, moon in all zodiac signs, rising in all zodiac signs and also takeaways section. (LONG POST)

hey, this post is for any beginner who has gotten into astrology and reading their natal/birth chart. if you are reading this, you probably discovered astrology through tumblr, instagram, tiktok, youtube or any other platform (or maybe your friend told you about it) and have no idea where to begin. you go onto an astrology website, type in your birth info and you are met with something that looks like this:

as a beginner, you don’t know how to make sense of this. there’s lines everywhere and a bunch of symbols that you don’t understand. don’t worry, you don’t have to deal with this right now. right now, we will be focusing on the basics.

Astrology websites and their descriptions:

what we are going to do is go on every single astrology website that gives you a birth chart. i will link a few below. you will make a birth chart on every single one of these websites and throughly read the descriptions. some things will make sense, some won’t. i advice you to take everything these websites say with a grain of salt since these are auto-generated descriptions for one placement and don’t consider inter-planet relationships.

you may wonder, why are we doing this?

one simple reason: intrigue. you won’t be able to master astrology if it doesn’t intrigue you. when you go through these descriptions, the aim is to achieve “oh my god, this is so me!” moments. by doing so you solidify your belief in the stars and acquire a hunger for knowing how to read people.

you go through these descriptions and feel very heard and understood, then we start building the foundations of a birth chart: the big 3.

The Sun, Moon and Rising:

also known as the big 3, the sun, moon and the rising. these are the most basic placements to learn during your reader journey.

1) the sun: the sun is probably the only sign you are familiar with. it is what you say when someone asks you: “what’s your zodiac sign?”

“oh, i was born on jan 1st. i’m a capricorn.”

it signifies your ego, self, identity and is solely just, you. the reason why mainstream astrology gets this wrong is because it stereotypes the sun and disregards any aspects* to it or the house* which it’s in.

(these will be explained in later lessons*)

the sun will be in either of the 12 zodiac signs. the zodiac signs go from aries-pisces. i urge you to remember the order of them whenever you can. it will prove to be helpful later on.

aries sun: your identity can be affiliated with your physical appearance and you place your ego around how you come across to other people. putting yourself first will be a theme in your life when you decide to go through self discovery, since you are a fire sign passion, aggression and drive will be key.

tarus sun: your identity is around your possessions, wealth, etc. self esteem will be a theme when it comes to self discovery, all things beautiful like art, music, any sort of leisure activity helps you feel more connected to you. you are an earth sign, so staying grounded, consistent and stable are key.

gemini sun: your identity is accordance to your wit, communication. siblings (or lack of) can play a role in why you are the way you are. thinking on your feet and quickly strengthens your relationship w/ your individuality. you are an air sign, so intellect and duality are key.

cancer sun: your identity is centered around your home, mother (or any other maternal figure in your life), connecting deeply with your inner psyche and emotions will help you realize your true self. you are a water sign, so familiarity and deep connection are key.

leo sun: your identity is centered around you, literally! being creative, working with kids or regaining your childlike self, understanding paternal figures, etc. help you connect with yourself. you are a fire sign, so confidence and feeling acknowledged/ appreciated are key.

virgo sun: your identity is centered around routine and details. some natives may find that staying chaste/ losing it changed their self identity. performance in work and quality of it changes relationship with self as well. you are an earth sign, so friendships and formalities are key.

libra sun: your identity is centered around fairness and beauty. relationships with others serve crucial ways to discover yourself. you are an air sign, so art and equality are key.

scorpio sun: your identity may be ever-transforming through lessons. having an overly-comical or strategically closed-off persona to hide your complexity is common. you are a water sign, revealing secrets and interest in the occult are key.

sagittarius sun: your identity may feel like it’s something that is distant, natives feel like they need to “know” (philosophies, religion, etc.) to feel closer to themselves. you are a fire sign, so desire and passion are key.

capricorn sun: natives will attain self-realization at a later age. curating / having control over their public image, or their work is a consistent theme. you are an earth sign, so taking initiative and loyalty are key.

aquarius sun: going through some sort of intellectual debacle to understand oneself, friends are a common theme. wanting change and community. you are an air sign, so revolutionary ideas and technology are key.

pisces sun: feeling like your basing your self around how other people perceive you/ feeding to their ideals. going through a period of disillusionment will help you understand your ego. you are a water sign, so spirituality and empathy are key.

2) the moon: the moon signifies your emotions and how you deal with them. it can also show how your childhood was + represents your mother/ any other maternal figure growing up.

aries moon: emotional changes can be seen at face value, they are also a source of motivation and drive. mother/home life is passionate and challenging.

taurus moon: beauty and food are used to regulate oneself from negative emotions. mother/home life is stubborn, affects your self-esteem and relationship with money.

gemini moon: emotions are seen from dual perspective, thereby being prone to intellectualizing. siblings can be a significant part of home life. short-distance travel, changing homes is common.

cancer moon: emotions are bottled up and kept deep within the crevices of the native. the emotional intensity of mother/home causes native to keep their own feelings to theirselves.

leo moon: creativity and humor is a common way to express emotions. the child was the star of the home. mother is popular amongst family.

virgo moon: emotions are better expressed written. mother was involved in her work. routine keeps emotions regulated.

libra moon: when close relationships are in turmoil, native’s mood is affected. needing fairness and balance.

scorpio moon: relationship with mother transformed which caused secrecy in the native regarding emotions. intense home life.

sagittarius moon: weird relationship with emotions, as if they are foreign or in a distant land. expressing emotions through “bigger” ideas like philosophy or theology, but failing to express them through simple writing.

capricorn moon: mother/home life made the native disciplined. emotions are strained, vulnerability comes with a later age.

aquarius moon: native feels safer expressing emotions on the internet or through any forms of technology. sudden changes in emotions, political ideas or change fuel emotions.

pisces moon: native is able to understand everyone’s emotions except it’s own. prone to running after any sort of esoteric, escapist experience.

the rising: also known as the ascendant or the first house, it shows how we like to present ourselves, the course/ journey of your life. some astrologers like to discuss superficial self vs shadow self with the ascendant (1st house) and descendant (7th house). we will get into that in later chapters.

aries rising: people are surprised by their understanding and willingness to compromise. have a taste for aesthetics and things that look good.

taurus rising: these people have a certain knack of art and pleasantries. the neck is always highlighted. very troubled once you get to know them, relationships transform their sense of self.

gemini rising: small-looking individuals with bright eyes. interested in meeting new people to discuss new ideas. interested in travel, siblings can be discussed a lot when they first meet u.

cancer rising: moon-like faces that are on the bigger side. looks more like the mother. people are surprised by their discipline.

leo rising: these people always have distinct hair! can look more like the father, or have that same loud laughter. creative individuals.

virgo rising: intelligent energy but in a careful manner rather than a chaotic one. secret need for the spotlight/ being admired for their hard work.

libra rising: pleasant smiles, cordial faces. perfectionists when it comes to appearances.

scorpio rising: intense when it comes to first impressions, longing for balance and cooperation but being a little awkward, prone to self-rejection.

sagittarius rising: witty jokes and philosophical questions, powered by the darkness of their psyche and revolutions of their mind.

capricorn rising: they have a weird relationship with their self esteem, feeling detached. prone to getting moody and emotional once you get to know them. may look more like the father.

aquarius rising: friendly energy with eccentric ideas. need to be admired in their relationships, they have this creative and generous side to them that isn’t seen at first.

pisces rising: ever-changing personality when meeting new people, but don’t think of it like a transformation- it’s more like waves of water that fit into any vessel. passion for understanding human psyche, prone to anger or getting defensive when it comes to being fully intimate / authentic.

while you were reading your chart, you must have seen way more things- houses, aspects, etc. these things help you have a clearer understanding of the birth chart.

when the explanation of a planet doesn’t apply, don’t worry. today we only described the energies of the sun, moon and rising. the house it is in, the degree and also aspects to the placement channel the energy of your big 3 or cancel it out.

nevertheless, you now have an understanding of some basic principles of birth charts, so congrats!

reader, it’s not feasible to memorize the meanings behind all these placements. instead, try to involve them in your daily life. ask a friend their birth time, look up their chart, then tell them the explanations of their big 3. you can even look up celebrity charts to see how their big 3 plays a role in their lives. this will help you gain an understanding of the signs (and memorize them) without feeling like you’re forced to “study.”

i don't normally go on tumblr much but when I do i like to scroll through your Blog. i always remember your posts being very insightful & sometimes a reflection of my own life. this may be parasocial of me, but i feel that we both know Isolation & Loneliness. in October though, i have had events happen where i've been disillusioned in the safety i thought i had in my solitary lifestyle. today, i met with a counselor again, and upon telling her my birthday (8/4/04)...in u.s. american format) & my name ((angel)), she smiled and said she loved the #4, and that it was the date of her & her partner's birthday as well as anniversary. and that it is her favorite angel #.

i have my own reservations on spirituality, horoscopes, fortunes & the like, but i'd like to be open minded about it more, seeing as how i've been experiencing many coincidences, it's made me curious. i don't know much of anything on angel #'s, or other such things, so i wanted to ask about your thoughts on the manner. though maybe i shouldn't be asking for your services 4 free; i'd love to draw characters of yours as thanks ☆

To briefly summarize my thoughts, i dont think angel numbers or astrology or any of it actually matters at all, even though i have studied all these subjects extensively, enjoy theorizing, its my game, but i know gaining knowledge is just a facet of what my own particular ego desires, and it passes the time. However the inevitability of all the digging, what you find at the root of it, is simply that everything is so deeply interconnected, in a sense everything the same, and there's no point trying to fill your mind w anecdotes & comparisons, because the TRUTH is inside you and the truth is love. And love is everything so you are everything. We don't have to discern what is and isn't a sign or a message. whatever you interpret is your reality.

the point of all the learning i've done has been to show me how to transcend searching for answers. So if u never felt called to that line of thinking, dont feel like its a necessity. just go where u feel called. it means whatever you feel it means and you are what you want to be. this makes some people spiral but you literally can just do whatever you want.

It might be Aries Season, but it's hard to deny that a lot is happening in Taurus. Is this foreshadowing? Maybe, but it could also just be a call to ground things out. So, you like astrology. Maybe you're an astrologer yourself. You don't push it on anyone (hopefully!) but it's certainly a major interest of yours.

!! AND YET !!

You know there's some arguments "against" astrology, and you're never sure how to respond...or even how to conceptualize why you feel differently.

As a starting point to develop your own opinions, here's food for thought on a common misconception: that all horoscopes and zodiac signs are too "general" or "the same."

!! DISCLAIMER !! This is more for you. While it's healthy to have some disagreements with the humans closest to you, remember that it's never worth your time and energy to "debate" anyone coming at you in bad faith. Ever. If they're not trying to learn about astrology and just want to feel superior to you because they buy Reddit merch or something, go ahead and ignore them. Do your Duolingo instead. Way more productive.

Now then...

Your hopefully well-meaning friend says that all the astrology stuff she's read sounds alike, so it could apply to anyone! It's so vague! Of course everyone believes they're real: each horoscope and zodiac sign is built to be relatable to every reader, so it feels true.

Two things are happening here, though.

🔮 The first is that English is a weird language, so it often fails at describing anything sophisticated.

What's this got to do with astrology? Well: English is hard to master, and even when you do master it, it's still difficult to find the exact words you need...if they exist at all.

Furthermore, humans don't critically read anything anymore. (Sigh.)

We astrology folks know that an Aries sun's drive and a Sagittarius sun's drive are not the same. One's more ambitious, the other adventurous. Succinctly writing this out in a way that makes it perfectly clear, with zero debate, that these are two very different energies? In English? Not easy.

You might say: "But, Bear, you did just succinctly write it."

Thing is...

That still doesn't arrive, fully, at the intricacies of Aries suns vs Sag suns...

And most people aren't coming from the same astrological place as you, in terms of knowledge. When you're too succinct with a layperson, they'll sometimes conflate "ambitious" and "adventurous" to mean the same thing. (Just for instance.)

As someone with two poetry degrees, this hurts me deeply, but there it is.

If you yourself aren't great at finding the exact words you need in any astrological content? Any layperson won't fully know what you mean, nor will they care.

So of course...

All signs and horoscopes seem the same to outsiders if written without crystal clarity. Many of us lack that crystal clarity. No judgement. It's just how English is, and how communication fails inherently sometimes.

This phenomenon is made worse because of...

🔮 The second issue: pop astrology generally needs to be short and succinct.

As I said, the whole clarity thing is...not good when you need entire essays, sometimes, to talk to others about an Aries vs. Sag drive, for example.

That doesn't fit in a newspaper column or easily-scanned blog post. Nor do 99% of the other things we astrologers want to tell everyone and want to talk about. Unfortunately, we only have a limited amount of physical (and mental!) space. So do the humans around us.

This also sucks because a lot of humans only know of astrology from their 20-word local newspaper horoscopes.

And so...

We have to use short-hand. We have to be vague much of the time. We may not know the words we want to use in our horoscopes and descriptions at all, in fact, because English is our second language or we were never great at communicating in the first place.

We often have to point towards meaning in astrology, which isn't at all actually talking about the thing in question. When you're clear, people can't misconstrue you unless they're working in bad faith. (Then you can ignore 'em.) However, when you have to lead people to your astrological conclusions in a roundabout way, using imprecise words, they can wander astray.

It sucks that we're often forced to abandon preciseness for conciseness. But trust me when I say that an Aries having "ambitious drive" and Sagittarius having "adventurous drive" are very much not the same thing.

🔮 In conclusion...

The reason some horoscopes and descriptions of sun signs might seem "vague" or "applicable to anyone" is because of:

the limitations of the English language/communication in general,

and the limitations of digital and physical mediums.

I should have probably led with the disclaimer that this is mostly opinion with no cited sources, but it may help you humans figure things out for yourselves re: this common misconception.

Full moon reading

This is an idea I thought of several years ago, back when Pick-a-Card readings were ragingly popular. I always want to do trendy things in my own way, so I thought: maybe it’d be interesting to do “Pick a Question” readings.... Basically: there are 4 questions below and you can pick any that you feel drawn to, maybe even more than one; the readings, as my attempt to answer the questions, will be posted below. 

[[I think I might try to do these for new and full moons; depending on how they do maybe I’ll extend the regularity. This one is based on the full moon astrology horoscope I did, where I saw that emotional stability and insecurity are going to be somewhat prominent themes.]]

1.) How can I better balance my emotions this year? 2.) What unwarranted criticisms do I hold against myself? 3.) What spiritual message is waiting for me? 4.) How have I been neglecting my inner world lately?

Question 1 (Group 1)

For this question’s group there seems to be a lot of material pressure and heavy weight atop the shoulders, metaphorically speaking. I get a sense of overstimulation and an imbalance regarding time for others and time for the self. “The Universe” card shows a need to reconnect with a greater force than the self, potentially through ‘prayer’ - whatever that means for you - or meditation. Overall when things get too intense it’s a call to shift perspective and remember the great force of life that protects and connects us all. Regardless of any emotional situation going on, the energy of “god” (for lack of a better word) or the Universe is always accessible and willing to help you, especially when emotions get too hard to handle. <3  

The King of Pentacles is a sign that there needs to be a check in with the state of the physical body; if the body is saying it needs rest then it’s probably time to listen. Ignoring the body’s cues can lead to emotional difficulties and imbalances that last for long periods of time. The Hierophant reversed shows that some element of emotional imbalance is coming from old beliefs that need dismantling, and they are beliefs around personal authority, responsibility, and also money (possibly). The knight of Pentacles reversed shows insecurity in direction that is aimed toward material satisfaction, and this could come from a lack of confidence around methods of practice or routines. Sometimes when we second guess ourselves and the decisions we’ve made or have to make it can bring major anxiety. Making strong, clear and confident decisions and sticking to them (like the king of Swords) is potentially highly important now, if you’ve chosen question 1.  

The Star reversed along with the three of Cups reversed can show that your shining light is currently being dimmed. Too much stimulation or over-extending help to others can cause this. It’s important to be able to balance between nurturing others and nurturing the self, as I’ve said earlier. 

With the Lion (Leo), Aries and Venus cards there is a call to prioritize confidence and self acceptance over pleasing others and maintaining the status quo (reference back to the reversed hierophant. Perhaps someone in this group has a fire sign Venus (Aries, Leo or Sagittarius) which would bring a need for unapologetic expressions of love (for the self and others) and a warm, positive outlook on the situations life may find one in at any given time.

Question 2 (Group 2)

This question is all about how you may be criticizing yourself in ways that are inaccurate or that should be released. The World (Reversed) shows that you maybe criticize yourself in terms of experience, or lack thereof. There’s also something here about finding it difficult to complete things, or that  maybe you feel like you have too much left undone in your life, with many loose-ends flinging around everywhere. This coupled with the Ace of Swords (reversed) shows that you might criticize your own ideas and communication style. You maybe don’t see yourself as someone who’s smart enough to succeed in certain ways, which is inaccurate. 

The hermit has showed up to remind you that you are an incredibly wise soul in your own right, but the page of Wands (reversed) shows the possibility that you humble yourself a lot and could maybe be afraid to stand out in some respects; maybe you’re somewhat cautious by nature and it’s difficult to be seen and understood. 

The knight of swords under the World Reversed shows that you have a desire to go out and accomplish big things - that in reality (maybe, if this resonates) you have a bright and focused mind, with the potential for major movement forward, as long as thoughts are directed toward clarity and purpose versus overthinking. The 10 of Swords under the ace represents the worst being over, and I feel this relates to ideas or perceptions of failure. Swords are thoughts and ideas, and the Ace of Swords reversed can indicate fears of failure in some ways. With the High Priestess reversed underneath The Hermit it shows me that you have a powerful inner wisdom that needs to be called on rather than downplayed or ignored. 

The 6 of Cups reversed underneath the Page of Wands shows some connection to the past, particularly to childhood somehow. Maybe childhood wounds are coming up to be healed, or your inner child is ready to be activated in some way in order to assist you out of certain painful mental difficulties.

There’s a reminder here that your path in life is sound and that you no longer need to hesitate to claim victory]] 

With the Mercury, Moon and the Part of Fortune cards, the message could be that your path to fortune lies within the synthesis of your mind and your emotions. It may be difficult for you to recognize what is fear or over caution, and what is your intuition guiding you to appropriate circumstances. Question 3 (Group 3)

For this group I’m sensing a need to recognize and integrate duality in some way. The 2 of Wands reversed shows a spiritual numbness, aloofness or detachment. With the Knight of wands reversed there’s a sense of apathy or lack of passion. The 7 of Cups represents the expansion of perspective, the changing of eyes and wandering into “higher dimensions” of thought. 

Temperance reversed shows a stuckness - a need to reinvent the energetic flow and deeply heal. Unity versus polarity is a major focus for this card. The tricky thing about recognizing Universal unity is that it’s sort of a paradox. To say everything and everyone is one means to somewhat reject the reality of the polarity we experience, which to humanity is very real. To say that polarity and extremes are the only reality, though, is to plainly state that unity of all things is simply an illusion. Somewhere in between could potentially be an important contemplation for you, group 3. There is no real spiritual truth or “right way” to follow the ethereal senses, and being one who’s in touch with the concept of “God” requires constant flexibility and the embracing of nuance, as sometimes many things can be true and untrue all at once.

The 10 of Swords reversed speaks of past things coming up to be rehashed, and with the two of wands reversed it may be speaking of karma, to some extent. The wands suit represent the spirit, and the two of wands indicates choices or alternative pathways of some kind. It also represents the synthesizing of philosophies with another person. Perhaps at this time you feel isolated in your spiritual beliefs; past karma can be cleared and new potential recognized in time. The three of Wands shows a new phase: a great and stretching landscape that is ready for building on, but it being under the knight of wands reversed - it’s almost as though the spark for such a vision is weak or trapped. By clearing and extending your spiritual perspective you might begin to see balance in your ethereal vision again.

The Queen of Wands underneath the 7 of Cups represents the inner flame, as Wands are the spirit and ruled by the element fire. As an energy the Queen of wands is bold, daring and unwavering. Somewhere in the spirit is an undying passion for something, but it may be blocked as certain areas of life need to be synthesized and balanced before the fire can be felt. The Queen of Pentacles reversed shows a need to get in touch with the spirit of nature; perhaps you could work with elementals or ancient tree spirits. For group 4 we have the question “How have I been neglecting my inner world?” The focus for this reading is what may need attention or an outlet as of now, when it comes to the internal state. The 2 of Pentacles shows a need for establishing a center, or simplifying. There is the theme of “quality over quantity” that popped into my head when I saw this card. It’s one that speaks of complete busyness and standing on tiptoe, trying to maintain an overly elaborate schedule. The material world feels chaotic and somewhat confusing, and so finding inner peace might be something that currently needs priority. With the Queen of Pentacles showing up underneath the 2 of Pentacles there’s a call to get back to the basics, to release what isn’t solely needed and get back into a simpler (maybe even slower) rhythm. 

The Page of Wands represents inquisitiveness, bravery, enthusiasm and curiosity. It comes up when there’s a need to initiate new passions or perspectives, and when it’s time to start going after “the thing”. Whatever it is that brings warmth and excitement is worth being brought into being; this is a time to start thinking of where you want to go. Where does your attention feel the most pulled? What new thing is greatly exciting? What new life experience do you want to experience next? That is the focus of the Page of Wands. Having the world reversed underneath it speaks of unfinished experiences, or things waiting to be explored. Perhaps even revisiting certain physical places through traveling is called for now.  The 6 of Swords is the card of transition and change. It talks of going from one phase to another, often with an entirely new sort of environment and circumstance. The 6 of Swords also brings a message of peace and the pursuit of a calmer mindset. 

The page of Swords brings re-enforcement of the message of initiating new experiences, but with swords the subject is thoughts, ideas and communication. You may need to pursue an intellectual idea and not ignore certain powerful inspirations. With the 7 of Swords under it there is a hinting toward social unfairness, which I found interesting. It may be time to question whether you’re being treated properly or fairly. Are people respecting your mind and your ideas? It may be time to restructure or shift your social circle entirely, especially with the Libra and Aquarius card showing up, which are two of the most social signs in the zodiac.

5 times Yizhan isn’t one sided

Disclaimer: Again, all speculation, treat this as fanfiction. Don’t read if you don’t like it. (I’ve been in many rps before and this is the fandom in which I’ve been the most afraid of my life LOL)

I’ve seen some people saying BJYX is one-sided, “created” and “managed” by dd. Initially, it may seem like it cuz dd is more forward about his affections. But I think once you understand them, you would see how much gg cares for him.

1) Jealousy - The most obvious being during the famous “16 Minutes” on KB when dd was coming out of a hole with another actor. Gg’s face changes immediately and he didn’t even notice his hand was raised mid-air. Another instance is when dd mentions hanging out with LXC at the fan-meeting. Gg asked when they hung out and then was like “oh when I wasn’t there?” Also the time during filming when dd got too excited talking to the cameraman about motorcycle and gg was stuck in the middle. At first, I thought it’s strange to be jealous of 2 people that obviously have no romantic intentions towards dd. But then I remember my own romantic past and that ya, when you really like someone, you get really possessive even when it’s stupid. And you try your best to logic it but the emotion is still there.

Easter egg: During the fan-meeting and the bts with the cameraman, gg used the exact word “厲害！“ (Amazing!) in a warning tone. The consistency points out that he’s having the same emotion in both instance. 

2) Caring - Gg cares about dd’s health a lot, in very detailed ways that surprises even me. In “9-Minutes”, he noticed a new scar and told him to wear kneepads. When dd came back from another filming and said he thought it’s “cool” he was working so hard, gg immediately rebutted, saying it’s not cool to overwork. Another thing is the “dead duck mouth hard” that I won’t repeat since I already wrote about it here.

3) Artwork - Gg is speculated to put dd into his art work. I wrote about it here. Maybe these are not on purposes but even if he unconsciously or accidentally included dd into this art, that’s also very sweet.

4) Music - Similar to drawing/painting, I think that an artist will be honest with his feelings through his music. Gg is no exception. We all know that gg loves to sing. The many instances where he may be expressing his feelings through music: (I feel like an AP lit student finding motifs LOL)

1) On 6/22/18 (special date), his WB mentions a song call “If I were a song” by Yoyo Sham that describing protecting the person he loves. My favorite lyrics is “I can be your home.” 

2) During the TU bts, on 8/5/18 (dd’s birthday), gg sang “Rainbow”. The footage cut off right after “In this story” and before “Did you really love me?” 

3) On a WB post in Sept 2018, gg alluded to the song “Summer’s Breeze” by Landy Wen. The song talks about a summer one will always remember, that two people were clearly in love. In the post he said “Summer breeze is over, vacation is also over.” The interpretation here is that he left behind WWX in the summer of 2018. Whether this means that he has decided to approach his feelings for dd outside of WWX’s feelings for LWJ, we will never know. 

4) At a fan-meeting, gg changed the lyrics of the song “Kepler” by Stephanie Sun from “I am no longer a lonely star” to “I fell in love with a lonely star.” 

5) When gg went to ttxs, he sang “Love Confession" by Jay Chou facing directly at dd. 

6) Gg sang “You are the most beautiful scenery in my life” by JS at a performance in October 2018. This is an old song that he covers. Even though he sang this song first for a commercial, the commercial has not air at this point (this event is unrelated to the commercial) so it’s speculated that he really likes this song and possibly have special meaning for him to sing it. The song mentions summer. 

7) He sang “Love you but lonely” by Na Ying at wmdg. Loneliness comes up again. 

8) He sang “Summer Day that the Wind Blew Past” by JJ Lin and Kym, a song about remembering falling in love in a past summer. There’s also a recording of him talking about why he chose this song. He said “it’s because the song describes when love first starts in a summer afternoon with a breeze, and I want to share it with everyone.” 

5) Gg being angry with dd - This may seem counterintuitive. Why is being angry love? We all know gg is a very courteous person. He actually said during an interview that people often thinks he’s “fake” because he’s so “nice” but that’s just how he treats most people, especially when he’s working. People that believes in horoscope says it’s a common trait for Libras to treat most people with a “public face” and keep them at a distance. I don’t put much weight into star signs but I do think this is gg’s personality. But what about towards dd? Gg is shown to be “mean” with him: 1) He rarely shows his “bunny teeth warning” to others but does so many times with dd. 2) He gets mad and shows his true emotions in the famous “9-minutes” where he’s mad that dd yelled at him in the morning. 3) He got mad at dd during a bts and even threw the umbrella to the floor because gg thought dd didn’t like WWX. 4) Gg got mad when he asked dd what he’s doing during his time off that day and dd said “stop nagging me”/”leave me alone”/”don’t control me” (hard to translate). They had a fight which ended with dd saying “I didn’t say for you to not care about me :(”. 5) Gg telling dd to stop looking at him during kb. This isn’t really getting angry but also show how he can be straightforward with him.

Energy Update: Mercury Retrograde in Libra

Happy Monday? Last night Mercury stationed retrograde at 25° Libra starting our three-week-long Mercury retrograde cycle,. Mercury will march backward through from 25-10 degrees until 10/18. Normal Mercury retrograde warnings apply: things take longer in general, communication (especially internet communication) will get messy and there may be many misunderstandings, all technology can get a bit wonky, and you can likely expect to have to do some or all of the res: rethink, redo, reconsider, reawaken, realign, etc. Mercury retrograde is counterindicated, in general, for travel which shouldn't be a problem during this time. The general rule of thumb during Mercury retrograde is: think before you act, save early and often, and double-check all communications before you hit "send". Because this retrograde cycle is in Libra it will affect cardinal signs most strongly (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) with the additional signs being strongly affected being Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Remember to take into account Sun, Moon, AND Ascendant when considering this above information. As Mercury moves backward through Libra, we are going to be forced to confront the way that we think/talk about our relationships (ruled by Libra). There is a hint to this process as the ruler of Libra, Venus, will spend most of the retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius. Sag is a sign of freedom and expansion which is a stark difference from the often co-dependant sign of Libra. Herein you see the inherent conflict that needs resolution. Expect the bad behaviors of Libra to be in the forefront of our minds all throughout this retrograde. Libra can be seen as the OG ruler of coupledom which can look cute but often hides a lot of relationship trauma right below the surface. As a Venus sign, the appearance of a relationship - just having a relationship AT ALL - can become so all-consuming that the health of the relationship can become immaterial. In fact, there are many Libras who seem completely incapable of leaving a relationship to such a degree that they remain in toxic situations or in a very poorly matched situation for years if not decades. Here Mercury retrograde in Libra will share something in common with Venus in Sagittarius - sometimes, both signs would rather be lied to in a way that feels good than confront the truth that may be messy or hurtful. This energy has been at play all year as we round out the last of our eclipses on the Gemini-Sag axis - you can refer back to my posts about eclipse season if you're interested in following this line of inquiry further. The reason that Mercury retrograde is so impactful is that it crosses the same points on the horoscope (here 10-15° Libra) a total of three times: one in its normal forward motion (called the pre-shadow phase), then backward during the retrograde, and finally a third time as it moves forward once more (known as its post-shadow). Because of this, we can look at the aspects that Mercury makes during this Chthonic journey to get additional insight into the way in which this retrograde cycle will potentially impact our lives. In this retrograde, Mercury makes a number of strong aspects. They will form a square with Pluto in Capricorn on 10/1 and 11/3, trine Jupiter in Aquarius on 10/3 and 11/1, conjunct the Sun and Mars on 10/9, oppose Chiron in Aries from 10/14-10/29, and make a sweet sextile to Venus on 10/16. This is a mixed bag which makes sense for a Mercury retrograde cycle. As I write about each aspect please keep in mind that although I list specific dates, these aspects play out for a couple of days before and after their moment of exactitude. Additionally, because we are in a retrograde cycle, any impact of these aspects will likely last through the retrograde and into Mercury's post shadow (I'll get to that). Sun, Mercury, and Mars conjunction at 16° Libra - this, along with the Mercury-Pluto square will likely have the strongest impact on this Mercury retrograde cycle. At this time last year, Mars went retrograde

in the sign of Aries and squared off with Pluto in Capricorn three times. We saw a ton of these Aries-Capricorn squares last year - that was a beginning. Now, one year later, Mars has made his way halfway around the horoscope to Aries' opposite sign of Libra only to square Pluto in Capricorn again. It is likely the unfinished business from the Fall of 2020 (or earlier that year) will rise to the surface - especially around how we go about getting what we want out of relationships. You may feel unmoored or directionless in and around this Libra stellium on 10/9. Especially if you've been given messages about what you need to change in your own life (Pluto in Capricorn) but you have held onto the old rather than taking steps forward towards that change. That said, astrology is the study of second chances - it is never too late to right your path. All you need to do is start walking. Mercury square Pluto in Capricorn - This indicates unfinished business, something that you need to rethink, reevaluate, redo so that you can let go and move on with your life. You may see exes or old friends reappear during this time - keep in mind that most likely these people are reappearing for a chance of closure but some people may even see rekindlings of old romances or second chances. Just keep in mind that Pluto was the God of Death, not romance. Mercury trine Jupiter - this can be a pretty nice aspect when both planets are moving forwards but is questionable (at best) when both planets are retrograde. Watch out for making mountains of molehills, for over-thinking and over-analyzing (problems during any Mercury retrograde cycle but made worse by the influence of our Great Expander Jupiter). Here the lies of Mercury retrograde may be at their height - watch out for the ways in which we are prone to dishonestly or illusion during this time, especially the ways in which we are dishonest or harbor illusions about our relationships. Notably, Mercury will be square to Pluto at the same time that they are trine to Jupiter which indicates that the lies that we tell may be very heavily loaded during this time. Expect some serious breakups and breakdowns during this time. You may discover that you and your Others are on very different pages - even that you see your relationship in a completely different light! Mercury sextile Venus in Sagittarius - this lovely sextile happens two days before Mercury stations direct again and is definitely our path forward. What has been revealed during this retrograde cycle? Can you integrate it into your life and your relationships focusing heavily on openness and freedom? Mercury opposed Chiron in Aries - this is our pain point. Mercury will oppose Chiron within 1 degree for an incredibly long time - 15 days to be exact! This is because it happens as Mercury is about to station direct and is therefore moving so slowly that they appear to stand still for an extended period of time. This shows that the Mercury retrograde cycle has been painful and many will have to go through a time of rectification during its post shadow period afterward. Chiron is always a reminder that we need to heal ourselves - that our mental well-being is our own responsibility. There is a sense here, with the axis between independent Aries and codependent Libra in play - that we need to step away from the idea that our Others can heal us. Or the idea that our Others are responsible for our Emotional States or Dysregulations. All in all, the next three weeks may feel like a real slog. We may feel fragmented or off-track. It's highly likely that the big blowups won't be until closer to the end of the retrograde and there may be a lot of cleanups to do. There's a lot of indication of some pretty big changes in the works as this cycle works itself out. In a year when change has felt nearly impossible due to our ongoing Saturn in Aquarius-Uranus in Taurus square, a chance to actually enact change sounds pretty good to me. All in all, if you keep your patience and your wits about you and

you aren't holding on to shit that you should have let go of ages ago, navigating this astrology weather should be considered Business as Usual. Remember to give your Others a metric fuckton of space during this time - especially if they have personal planets in one of the cardinal signs. What you stifle will never grow.

Does worldbuilding come easily to you?

YES YES YES I LOVE IT!! The first “””””book””””” I ever wrote in middle school was called Signs of the Zodiac. I’m not even a horoscope person, I just saw 12 distinct signs and my little brain immediately went 

okay these signs are now a group of immortals who are all at war with each other, threatening to launch the world into a post apocalyptic state. Now, the Zodiacs may be immortal but they’re not invincible, they can be killed but only by another Zodiac and only within their months of heightened power. So Aries can only be killed within the March 21–April 19 time frame. BUT killing them will be difficult because during these months Aries powers will be fucking off the CHARTS.  Their powers are elemental based obviously.

So the way a new Zodiac can take the place of a dead one is by a normal ass person dying at the exact same moment the Zodiac is being killed. Which gives you all sorts of drama because these poor people never asked to be in a secret group of immortals who bring balance to the world (oh my god Sagittarius was literally a typical Depressed Teen Boy who hated his job but was REALLY GOOD at archery). 

The plot comes in when Libra, the balance, (oh my god this was the most cliché THING EVER) is killed causing the Zodiacs SPLIT into good and evil. Evil side wanting dominance over the world and good wanting balance again. So our protagonist, a 16 year old teen, suddenly finds herself dead from mysterious circumstances and reawakens as Libra, the new “bringer of balance”.  

So that was that, never finished it because I was a middle schooler. Oh god I’m remembering that Gemini was actually twins (duh) one named......Gem...and the other Mini (pronounced Minnie). Also Capricorn and Cancer where two dudes on opposite sides of the fight that had like...queer energy between them?? This project was so wild.

this was a very long winded way of saying---yes. I only write stories that require world building. It’s so much fun.

A Roy and Riza Character and Relationship Analysis based on their Zodiac signs

Roy Mustang

Birthday: 06/01/1885 (on basis of Roy’s Day and his actual birthyear)

Zodiac Sign: Gemini - the Twins

Element Sign: Air

We may think he’s more suited in being a Fire sign, but if you take a closer look with how Roy creates fire, it all makes sense. Hiromu Arakawa shares in one omake that Roy creates fire by controlling the amount of oxygen in the air. I believe Flame Alchemy is based on the concept of control. We only notice the times Roy has lost control, but we fail to appreciate all the times he maintainted it. He’s not what he seems from the surface, and this is why we think he’s always not what he appears on the surface. Which leads us too conclude that he may appear two-faced.

Traits:

two-faced - like most Geminis, Roy tends to have a reputation of being two-faced. His personality depends on how others treat him, and how he views them. He loves to stir rumors and gossips, creating an impression that is completely different from who he actually is (E14, FMAB) (I’m making a more in-depth character analysis about this, but one that is based on psychology)

social chameleon - being the life of the party, Roy knows how to socialize with different types of people. He can easily read the room and know exactly what other people want to hear from him, as with most Geminis. This makes him extremely popular among townsfolk and political leaders.

flirtatious - and of course, Roy is popular with women, as stated by Team Mustang (FMA 03, E37). He’s naturally flirtatious, whether he does it on purpose or not. Like most Geminis, Roy jumps from one date to another. But we see him go to dates to collect information before tackling a conflict, another trait of Geminis. He asks Olivier for dinner as a disguise to relay information and planning (FMAB, E42-46 im not sure which one). Again, every action he does isn’t what it appears on the surface. And of course, he deliberately makes people believe he’s a womanizer. He shares his reason for being Führer was to let female officers wear miniskirts (FMA 03, E13), but later on we see it’s because he wanted to protect people (FMAB, E10). This leads us too concluding that he’s...

intelligent - most Geminis don’t appear to be smart at first, but when taken a closer look, they’re rather cunning and have remarkable wit. As seen with how he strategizes plans, Roy’s intellect is unquestionable. He even competes with Maes Hughes during their military academy days (FMAB Special E04). Aside from that, he is also emotionally intelligent, as in most Geminis. In another iconic scene, Roy immediately knows something is wrong upon talking to Riza on the phone (FMAB, E38)

optimistic - in general, Geminis are the kind of people who look forward to the future rather than attempting to change the past. Roy is actually optimistic. We never see him falter or mope around, he’s always the one who says “we can do better next time.” He tells Ed to stand up and have a chance on getting their bodies back rather than sulk about what had happened (FMAB, E2).

impulsive - due to Gemini’s adaptability and versatility, they never stay in one place. We see Roy move from one date to another and procrastinate on paperwork (FMA 03, E37). Riza frequently tells him not to be reckless, (FMAB E01, E05 - encounter with Scar, E19 - coming to the scene). When Roy had offered her flowers, he reasoned that he got “too drunk” and ended up buying a carload of flowers (FMAB, E38). Another one of his two-facedness. Although it was an excuse, Riza paid no attention to it. Maybe because she was that used to his impulsiveness lololololol. But we see this trait heighten when he was consumed with anger and vengeance on Envy (E53-54).

Riza Hawkeye

Birthday: 09/01/ 1887-1889 (based on Riza’s day and age range)

Zodiac Sign: Virgo - The Virgin

Element Sign: Earth

Earth signs are always grounded. We see how Riza always keeps her calm in situations (except when she thought Roy died lol). It’s no wonder how she holds Team Mustang together and keeps their sanity. Sometimes I wonder how she puts up with them lol.

Traits:

perfectionist - like in most Virgos, we see Riza always striving for the best. This is most evident in her specialty: accurate gunshots. When a military officer complimented her for striking the bull’s eye in the firing range, she told him “I still have a long way to go.” (FMA manga, Volume 6). Kimblee even taunts her, “Doesn’t it make you feel satisfied when you hit the target on one shot?”, whose words hit Riza like her own on-point bullets (FMAB, E30). In FMA 03, we see her blame herself for not being there on time. Roy replies by saying the world isn’t perfect, but that makes it beautiful (FMA 03, E51).

hardworking and organized - she gets things done stat. She does Roy’s paperwork and always reminds him to do them. Aside from that, she is very dedicated on work, she even delivers paperwork to the Führer’s residence late at night (FMAB, E37). Her dedication for work is most evident when she stood up all night while Roy was in a meeting in Central HQ (FMAB, E25). Other than that, she is obedient, she never fails to comply any order as long as it is within her morale. Even on the verge of death, she told the gold-toothed doctor she won’t die since she is “under strict orders not to die.” (FMAB, E58)

stubborn and uptight - in line with the previous trait, most Virgos are stubborn and uptight. Once they set their mind on a plan, they want it followed pronto! Roy even comments that Riza is stubborn (FMAB, E24) when she insists she will wait until Roy’s meeting is finished. Because of this, Riza may appear uptight. She bosses around Team Mustang, basically. For this reason, co-workers regard her as Roy’s babysitter (FMAB, E17). She tends to follow an everyday routine, as seen on how she and Black Hayate spends their mornings (FMA 03, E37).

reserved and untrusting - for some reason, we see Riza as reserved. I can’t pinpoint an exact moment where she’s shy, but I guess we assume she is because she rarely speaks. Riza isn’t an open book, and Virgos tend to have trouble trusting other people. This is evident since Riza holds the secrets of Flame Alchemy on her back. As an independent person, she may find it hard to rely on someone. It might have been hard for Riza to choose to trust Roy, and doing so might have caused a whole lot of consideration. That is, until she finally asks Roy, “Can I entrust you my father’s research?” Well, we see how much trust she gives to him since we never once saw her complain about anything— except with Roy.

honest - Riza is known to have a dry humor, and she never holds back on any comment she has. It’s seen on how she makes jokes with Rebecca Catalina (FMAB, E46). She’s blunt with her words— even calling Roy, her superior, an idiot or is useless (FMA 03 E15; FMAB E01, E05, E19, E53). She even asks Fuhrer Bradley a personal question, “Is that even called a family?” (FMAB, E42). Riza also declined Pride’s offer to join their forces, even in the face of threat (FMAB, E37).

patient and observant - aside from dealing with Team Mustang on a daily basis, her patience is very apparent on her character. In order to take a shot, she waits for the perfect timing. She’s also very observant, especially on the things Roy fail to communicate verbally. Whenever they visited Hughes’ grave, it was shown that Riza can sense Roy’s grief, and knows something is up (FMAB E10, E50)

intelligent - other than all the aforementioned reasons, we see Riza’s intelligence as she was able to count and remember the steps from Laboratory 5 to the door. And they figured out it was between the Fuhrer’s residence and Central HQ. (FMAB, E21). A more iconic scene was when she was able to figure out who Pride is (FMAB, E37).

kind - We see Riza as empathetic, especially to the young. She is in good terms with Winry (FMAB, E02; FMA Star of Milos) and Ed and Al (FMAB, E30). We see her voluntarily adopt Black Hayate (FMA 03, E13). Roy even admits it, “She may appear like that, but the Lieutenant is really kind.” (FMA manga, somewhere sksjskdjsks idk what volume)

Roy and Riza Compatibility

Both of them are polar opposites, like Roy is outgoing and Riza is shy. These might create conflict or it might also complement their flaws. Roy’s spontaneity helps with Riza’s rigidity. Just as Riza helps him stay on track with his work, Roy lets her lossen up a bit (FMAB E17-E19, where Riza is disguised as Elizabeth).

Riza’s critical untrusting judgement and Roy’s two-facedness may create conflict between them. Plus, Roy being easily bored might not work well with what Riza wants, which is routine and constancy. There might also be a problem with Roy’s flirtiness, which might ignite Riza’s doubtfulness.

Fortunately, they have both lessened these problems since they have laid their relationship on trust. Riza has entrused her back to Roy, along with the secrets of Flame Alchemy. Roy, on the other hand, has also entrusted his back to her (and his life, as she is free to take it if he will stray away from the right path). We see this on FMAB E54, when Riza stopped Roy from being consumed by revenge. In that scene, we also saw how Roy’s impulsiveness was balanced out by Riza’s strict compliance to rules and routine.

Aside from their differences, they also share many similarities. With their high emotional and intellectual compatibility, they entertain themselves in witty banters (well we often observe that). They share the same realistic attitude, and goals towards life (creating a better world even through a muddy path, FMAB E30).

They also share a negative trait of not being able to express their feelings easily. They may have trouble putting their feelings into words. Good thing they both learned to communicate nonverbally— and this is seen on another iconic moment when Riza’s glance saved them both from threat (FMAB, E54). After all, they’ve “known each other for quite some time.”

Personality traits for Chloe st James (ABCs)

this is a (late) birthday present for @alleycat97 bc i know how much she loves Chloe. It was definitely fun writing for her character and coming up with traits for her

A- Attentive 

Being around someone like Poppy means that Chloe is extremely attentive to the small details. She’s always picking up on the little signals and constantly makes sure you’re okay. She’ll literally show up to your dorm at 3am if your texts seem “off” to her and she’s worried you’re sad. 

NSFW- Chloe is very attentive to your pleasure during sex and loves kissing/biting your neck or chest to heighten your pleasure. 

B- Bottom

NSFW- Chloe is definitely a bottom but she’s not a pillow princess. She once got super offended that you called her one and wanted to show you she’s not the type to lie down and take it. Even though she lets you take the reins, she’s super bratty and loves verbally teasing you to turn you on more. 

C- Candidness 

You can always count on Chloe to tell the truth because she has no filter and will say whatever is on her mind. You find it both endearing but annoying sometimes because her lack of filter means she does say a lot of things that may seem rude but you know she means well.

Chloe gets jealous really easily, which is something she isn’t proud of but you know it’s only because she loves you so much. Whenever girls get too friendly with you, she’ll loop your arm with hers, pulling you close to your side, before giving a massive show of PDA. Usually nights where Chloe gets jealous ends in quickies in the bathroom, or just leaving the event early just so you can hook up and you can remember that you are hers, 

K- Kinks

P- Picky

Chloe is a very picky eater and is the type to order chicken tenders and fries or salad from a restaurant when the menu isn’t appealing to her. You’ve been working on expanding her appetite. She definitely has expensive tastes and likes the most bizarre food which makes you wonder why she’s such a picky eater. For example she loves caviar but refuses to eat scallops. 

Q- Quickies

NSFW- Though she prefers sex being sensual and passionate, she does love a good quickie and will be down for one. During parties she’ll drag you to an empty bedroom rather than a bathroom because she’s unsure of what she’ll catch. 

R- Reliable

Chloe is extremely reliant and you can depend on her whenever you need something. Because she’s number 2 at Belvoire she knows how to get things done (even if she has to use other people for it). She’s really good at delegating and is someone you can trust with your secrets. 

S- Scared

Chloe gets scared really easily and hates watching horror movies unless you’re there to cuddle with her. Once when you took her to one of those haunted houses, she fainted because a monster crept up on her and she screamed so much, she ended up knocking herself out. 

T- Toys

NSFW- Chloe doesn’t have any toys but she does have a pair of handcuffs and loves using vibrators during sex. Usually during sex, you’ll put her underwear in her mouth to quieten her or use of her expensive scarfs to tie her hands up. 

U- Useless

Chloe has a lot of insecurities and one includes her not feeling worthy or useful. You often have to reassure her that she is an amazing human being and show her how incredible she is. You’ve been encouraging her to pursue a career in dance, because she absolutely lights up when she’s choreographing a new dance routine for the Zeta’s and you know she’ll do an amazing job.

NSFW- Chloe is very loud during sex and will let every sound out. Zoey has complained once or twice (or a lot of times) about the noise but Chloe can’t help it and the moans she makes are like music to your ears.
