5:30 till 6:30, an hour to work with your more then well acquainted patient, Franco "Il Bambino" Barbi. Walking down the hallways that felt like they could go on for hours, the ambience of screaming from others, and the sound of your kitten heels clicking and clacking on the ground, which you focused on your heels rather then weeping and screaming from some that could, and some that are already your patients. Eventually coming to a stop at a door that had two guards 'doing their jobs', standing and watching. You gave them a quick glance before they moved out of the way, letting you scan your ID card. Pushing the door open, you were expecting an immediate quip of some sort. Hell you wouldn't mind, but instead you were meant with silence and the dark, though the baby blue and various other colors paint that chipped off the wall made it a bit easier to see.

"Franco, you can come out. It's only me" You walked further into his room as you spoke, making your voice soft and sweet. Still no sign of Franco as if he'd just vanished from his room, which was impossible- you cut that thought quickly. Well now you had a reason to 'snoop' you saw his room sure, to the bathroom that was obviously meant for one person, to the 'living room' that was really just a bunch of most likely decades old furniture mushed up together. then too his bedroom, where you both spent your time together the most. More or less for therapy.

Clicking your heels into his bedroom first, where he was most likely to be and you yourself were curios of what was in his drawers. Still no sign of him anywhere. Switching on a small lamp that let you see more of Franco's room illuminated. Part of you just wanted him to come out, not liking hide and seek, but you knew he was a hider..you knew what he did that poor Jenny, for someone Franco really didn't care about, nor thought about as a person, Franco did talk about what he did to her enough that you could write about for days if you wanted. Looking around his room you looked at the mirror noticing a glimmer, a bit sparkly with a consistency. You didn't want to touch it but you did anyway, it felt..normal, chapstick almost- no, lipgloss. It made you remember the one you last had. Though you didn't remember where the hell you put it, you just assumed it grew legs and ran away.

Forgetting about it, your fingers brushed on the drawers, pulling one out. Just clothes, the next drawer the same, a chewed on pacifier here and there. You were gonna move on, really, but it was the last drawer so you opened it, your hand caught on something, wrapping itself around your wrist as you looked to see what it was. "My fuckin bra-" you whispered to yourself, you knew exactly which one to. A light pink, almost white cotton bra, lace on the breasts. You were upset when you had first realized you lost it- but it being in Franco's drawer? Fucking believable, most obvious thing ever. Franco Barbi, worlds biggest pervert stealing a bra, most likely other things.

Sighing, you gave up on the bedroom, walking into the bathroom. Still nothing. The lights finally started to come on so it would give you light to talk to your patient- which probably would of been helpful 5 minutes ago. Your now only mission was to find Franco, nothing in the bathroom meant he had to be in the living room. Looking over the couch, to behind everything. Then eventually to his crib, peering over to only find his precious lupara. Turning around before hearing a whisper of "boo" in your left ear scared the shit out of you, jumping to turn around with your hand covering your mouth. "Franco!- goddam it- what the hell- where were you?" Your voice quickly overcame the edge and becoming more stern.

"Ya know under the bed is a pretty obvious spot to check for a baby" Franco replied, his pinky finger rubbing against an anxiety ring, one that spins when you- "Franco is that my damn ring?" Your own voice cut your thoughts off. Bringing his finger to your eyes, sure enough it was. "What? Baby likes havin' toys" His tone going to that soft accent of his. "Franco you can't just steal my stuff whenever you please", pausing and un-tensing your shoulders before continuing. "How did you even get any of my things?" was the main question that came to mind. "Well sweets, maybe I just tend to get things off ya, clothes especially. But maybe also some rings...you just forget about the things you leave layin' around here."

Franco's hands went to your waist, scratching the sides of your torso. "Was baby bad stealin' from mommy?" Franco cooed at you. Dropping to his knees so he was looking up at you. His lips moved as if he were gonna speak, cutting him off by grabbing the pacifier that hung from his neck and stuck it in his mouth. "im not- mad..just upset you didn't tell me. All you had to do is ask" your tone switched as if you were babying a puppy which made Franco's grip squeeze and his eyes look more wanting. "Want me to show you?" he mumbled with his pacifier still in his mouth, sounding like a kid caught with his hand in a cookie jar. "Yes, please- and don't think you're keeping everything, baby."

I want you to listen. Don’t scroll away because of the buzz word ‘Lando’.

Listen.

This has gone beyond hate for Lando. This about all the drivers.

This is about treating drivers respectfully. This is about your parasocial relationships with the drivers. This is about you reading into everything they say.

This is about the F1 media taking clips out of context because they don’t want a race they want a drama.

This is about you taking those clips and not bothering to find the original source, and taking it to fuel a hatred for someone you don’t know.

This is about you hating on a new driver because you miss the old one.

This is about you sending hate to fans of a driver you don’t like.

When I dislike something I scroll- I ignore, because it’s not worth my time. Why should I let the social media algorithm think I like the video because I watch it? I block a person I dislike. I don’t go onto their account and spend time out of my life to comment.

But unfortunately the amount of hate I’m seeing it’s getting hard to ignore it.

Haters and fans. Opposite end of the spectrum, still on the same spectrum.

You’re still thinking about the guy you supposedly hate. You talk about him under other driver related posts, you make it your entire personality.

You make it toxic.

The difference in drivers is what makes the sport fun. I’m friends with people who have other favourite drivers. What we do is we talk about the race. We talk about how their driver did really well and what mine could’ve done better. We have fun.

Because it’s the sport that bonds us.

I don’t send death threats to them. People have become so obsessed with other peoples lives and it shows.

A driver can’t say he feels lonely without getting jumped on for it. A driver gets asked his opinion after a high adrenaline race, one he feels he didn’t do well and he sounds a little bitter. Of course he’s going to. Yet you read into it.

He celebrates and you read into it.

And then dislike them when they decide not to do anything anymore.

You criticise them for the mistakes they’ve already owned up to and refuse to even acknowledge the good they’ve achieved.

New fans get scared to join because they worry everyone will hate them. Which kills the sport in turn.

Lando. Max. Every single driver on the grid do not know you. And you do not know them. You know of them. You do not know them.

You do not know what they do or who they are the moment they’re away from the cameras.

You do not need to like a driver. Nor do you need to dislike them. I don’t dislike drivers, I just have drivers I favour a bit more than others. Because why would I hate them?

I dislike some of the things they do- during the race. Of course. I’m bitter after a race doesn’t go well. I’m a fan of the sport.

But that’s as far as it goes.

I do not care for their personal life as it’s theirs, nor do I care for what minuscule thing they’ve done.

If you don’t feel called out, then good- I’m not talking about you. You’re the good ones. If you are feeling ‘attacked’ then perhaps it’s time to rethink what you want to spend limited time, that is your life, on.

We only have so many minutes in our lives to actually live. So live it. Don’t spend it on hating on others.

the fact that franco is an unlocked character in the drive to survive universe is pretty funny. in episode 7 (the singapore ep) they show alex all calm and collected saying "i dropped a lot (of positions)" after the start, but everyone knows in reality he was screaming about franco's divebomb.
