nothing important to say just that i drew these during the weekend and that i finished playing rdr yesterday i'm devastated

I know I've shown it before but I can't stop looking at this picture and smiling to myself without thinking about the fact that Charles taught Arthur how to use a bow.

And not just any bow - Charles' own bow. Even with the rough circumstances they were in at the time, Charles was still patient enough to teach Arthur how to use the bow efficiently. He didn't make fun of Arthur's skill level, he didn't criticize him, he didn't shout or yell at him afterwards, Charles simply guided Arthur and let him learn at his own pace.

If you shoot the deer but it doesn't die? He still helps you. If you miss completely? He still helps you and encourages you to try again. If you need to track down the deer again? He will still help you. He will still help Arthur. This wasn’t just a lesson in hunting; it was a moment of trust and respect.

Charles knew that Arthur was perfectly capable with a gun, but he still taught him an incredibly valuable life skill that day - a skill Arthur eventually honed.

MORE CHARTHUR HEADCANONS!!!!!

Exams are over!!! Please have some more (modern) Charthur headcanons while I speedrun requests... ^_^

- I think Charles lived in Canada or somewhere North for a lot of his life and taught Arthur how to ice skate. It was a battle. (I really need to draw this)

- Modern Arthur is terrified of flying. As in, airplanes. Charles has terrible motion sickness.

- When Arthur gets woken up he stuffs his face into the pillow and huffs aggressively. Charles just looks up with a mean little scowl and goes back to sleep.

- I think collectively they've cried .02 times in their life but they definitely SOBBED during their wedding vows. If not that, then after the reception. Or maybe just the proposal. And they are both ugly criers yes Thank You. Ohh my god shut up

- Arthur is a Facebook reels warrior. Full volume, resonant throughout the entire house. As soon as Charles hears that bark of laughter he knows Arthur will hunt him down to rewatch the video with him, no matter where he hides. Bathroom? Arthur will wait outside with the video paused. He has to fake laugh sometimes but it's worth it to see Arthur laugh too.

- Overstimulating Husband + Overstimulated Husband

- I know a lot of people like to hc Charles as the bookworm, but I think they both hold a strong love for literature. They have a miniature and ever-growing library. And they do read to each other.

- Arthur's obsessed with Charles' hair. Physically has to refrain himself from touching it. There's a gravitational pull. If they're cuddling or sleeping or whatever it's guaranteed his hand will be tangled and buried in it somewhere.

- There is such a lack of PDA between them (except for how they look at each other) that 90% of the gang thought they were STILL pining for a whole extra month since when they actually got together.

- I really think Charles gives the biggest side-eyes at people. Everything about his face is the same but the sheer disdain in his glance. Arthur just kind of looks directly at them with a furrowed brow and curled lip.

- They have frequent towel-whip wars

- Yes they volunteer for the US Forest Service over the summer

Charles was on guard duty during Sean’s party. Charles said he’s going to leave the celebrating to the celebrating to the professionals. Everyone is singing and dancing, even Sadie who just lost her husband is hanging out with Abigail, and Charles is alone in the forest, looking out for danger. Charles deserves so much happiness it’s not even funny.

My thoughts on honour in rdr2 is not that it decides whether Arthur is a good man or a bad man because I feel like that doesn't really exist there's just people. Who do good things and do bad things and are a weird mix of the things they've done and experienced.

And I think for Arthur it's not that his low honour is a bad man it's that he's decided he's a bad man and doesn't give himself the chance to be anything other than that. I feel like the conversations with sister calderón is really important in presenting this, because she points out to him that people are more complicated than 'good', 'bad' like how she herself used to do bad things but she certainly isn't a bad person.

This is the same for Arthur he's not bad in low honour or even good in high honour the difference is that in high honour through things like talking to sister calderón at the train station Arthur allows himself the opportunity to do good things but in low honour he already believes he doesn't deserve it/isn't worth the effort and so doesn't give himself the chance to try.

Feel like it also comes down to a lot of how Arthur sees himself, we already know he has absolutely no self esteem from the way he talks to himself in the mirror/his journal. So maybe low honour is just Arthur with worse self esteem and not believing himself capable of being anything other than 'big scary outlaw'.

But also something about how no matter the honour he isn't just 'big scary outlaw' no matter how you play him or wtvr because no matter the honour Charles says "you're not as tough and dense as that" so whatever the honour charthur rules. That's right this was a charthur post the whole time (I'm rapidly going more insane someone switch me off)

Idk this might be really obvious or I could be way off the mark this is just some unhinged rambles from my rdr rotten brain 👍

Loving your HC's! Regarding Charles' singing, I vaguely recall that in the comics Jubilee mentioned that he sings Sinatra in the shower. Whether he does it well is up to our imaginations XD TAS Charles can absolutely sing because his first VA (Cedric Smith) was a folk singer in the 1970's. if one things for certain, he's gotta be singing LOUD as hell if anyone can hear him in his soundproofed mansion 😭😭😭 three possibilities exist really:

he Somehow thinks hes alone because he's so caught up in singing he can't sense anyone nearby

he's too confident in how soundproofed his house is/how far his shower is from the hallway

xmen be damned he needs his shower concert

i might be imaging this but i feel like charles is much more engaging with everyone in camp ever since we came back from saving trelawny aka charles saving arthur's life.

he's been hanging around the campfire in the evening much more often and even said "it's always hard leaving the fire" when he got up to leave again

one night he played the harmonica while miss grimshaw sang and when she was done he continued playing at the fire, when he only played on his own outside of camp until that point

he greets people when he passes them, even calling them by their names

just now, for the first time (as far as i had seen) he didn't work on his wagon alone. john joined him and they even held a conversation??

i don't know where i am going with this but it seems that charles is getting more and more comfortable around other people and i think that's really sweet <3

oh my god yes. to me charles is 100% a switch. he’s such an accommodative/adaptive lover because nothing really matters to him except for having you close to him, in his arms, where you belong. he’s really not one to fight for dominance like AT ALL, he follows your lead and listens to your needs so every single moment of sexual intercourse is different and special. there is no repeat with charles; he’s so willing to do anything that pleases you (because it pleases HIM to please YOU) that sex is a new experience every time. the only constant is the love and care he puts into it, and honestly he’s more than happy to let you take the reigns so you can use his body in the way that makes you feel the best physically, but also emotionally and spiritually
