Everytime I felt upset that Izuku (my favourite) was beaten by Bakugou in a popularity poll, I immediately felt better by thinking....that's what Izuku would have wanted. He'd be thrilled. He's stuffing the ballot box with Kachan votes himself.
#i love when rivals are also each others biggest supporters#it makes fandom haters so funny#oh you dislike Bakugou? Izuku is on his way to lecture you on why Kachans amazing#he's making you read all his Dynamight notes#there will be a test#oh you dislike Izuku? Bakugou explodes your face#and then agrees that Izuku is a damn nerd but extras dont get a say in the matter

youve mentioned offhand ur issues with thirsty sword lesbians, have u talked at length abt this somewhere before and if not do u want to? i want to hear ur thoughts hehe
now before i get into this i want to clarify: i like thirsty sword lesbians, overall! i think it takes some of the best stuff from monster hearts and refines it -- i think it does great and exciting things with pbta playbooks -- i think anyone making a pbta game should check it out because it's full of valuable ideas -- and i've had a lot of fun playing it!
however, i think it's just as flawed as it is brilliant. there's a few different flaws but the biggest one for me is a catastrophic clash between two things the game is trying to be. one on hand, it wants to be a catradora rpg. there's no shame in that, i love games that wear their influences on their sleeves--TSL¹ wants to be a game about kissing your rival after you've both been disarmed, about having a fraught and complicated relationship with your girl best friend who abandoned you to serve the dark lord, about having homoerotic sword duels where your blades lock and you stare into each other's eyes for just one second too long before one of you kicks the other in the chest. i think that's an admirable goal for an RPG and one that TSL hits a lot of the notes of--the fact that the move to "Figure Someone Out" has special questions you can only ask someone when you're duelling them is incredible design. the Strings system, adapted from Monsterhearts, the ability to fluster your enemies when you use the Entice move, the constant focus on what characters desire and how their actions conflict with those desires--so much of the game is working towards that!
unfortunately, the game also wants to be about queer resistance to homophobia and capitalist/imperialist hegemony. this is clear in its sample settings, with their eyerollingly on-the-nose conflicts like defending 'queertopia' and fighting the evil sorceress 'repressia'. but much more importantly, it's clear in the game. several of the playbooks are defined by their relationship to sexual hegemony--the beast is about someone who is othered and monsterised for expressing their existence and the seeker is about someone sheltered and prejudiced moving past that and discovering themselvs and others. like, it's not subtle--
and to be clear, there's nothing wrong with that, either. just as i like a lot of TSL's swashbuckling girl-romancing flirting-at-swordpoint mechanics, i really appreciated how (although the game's outlook on what these forces are is predicably liberal and its tonal approach to these things is one that i personally find teeth-grindingly insufferable) these things are actually integrated into its mechanics. playbooks like the beast and the seeker (and the rest!) imply something about the world the game is set in and its sexual politics. this game is meaningfully queer in the way something like dream askew is, in that its mechanics ask you to actually explore your character's queerness specifically. this is good, and it's something that elevates it above about 90% of ttrpg stuff that sells itself as queer.
so if both these things are good, what's the problem? well, it's that they're two great (or at least--interesting) tastes that go fucking horribly together. the fundamental problem that i have with TSL and one that i think takes a lot of work to get around in your own campaigns is that it simultaneously wants you to be fighting (on the individual level) a lot of antiheroic ultimately sympathetic hot girls you can flirt with and kiss--a lot of 'i can fix her's or 'she can make me worse's--and on the broader narrative wants you to be fighting institutional queerphobia (and often, although this is nowhere near as actually supported by mechanics, a more generalized 'imperialism' or 'capitalism' or 'bigotry'). so you end up fighting 'those stupid sexy homophobes'--people who are according to the text (not just 'lore', but the rules text, the mechanics you're playing with!) simultaneously the violent enforcers of cisheteropatriarchy and a bunch of fuckable lesbians with sympathetic backstories.
& i just think those things are fundamentally at odds. the result is a game that if you try and play it at face value works at cross purposes with itself, attempting to do two perfectly valid things without considering what happens when the streams cross.
it also has a few other flaws--like many other PBTA games, its balance falls apart if you play any long campaign (my group and i had to figure out special alternative level-up rewards!) but it comes with no inbuilt way to neatly conclude a campaign or character. its tone is something that, as i often mention, i absolutely cannot fucking stand--it has a certain sense of humour that feels profoundly dated to me and was never my cup of tea when it was in vogue. this is something i try not to hold against the game bc it is very much a personal taste-level 'cringe' reaction but the game lays it on pretty fucking thick.
more to its detriment, it is profoundly, gratingly liberal in the exact way people who deploy that tone usually are. its understanding of anything outside queerphobia specifically is just a purely aesthetic & thoughtless 'imperialism is bad!'. it manages a more nuanced understanding of homophobia, but it only manages it on the individual level--for a game about queerness and about fighting systems of cisheteronormativity, it has no systemic or material understanding of these systems and no interest in establishing one.
and finally--and this is just one paragraph but it's so fucking awful i feel the need to complain about it here because i think about it often as an example of something i never want to write:
this sucks! real bad! so deeply fucking silly to reassure people in your game that you called Thirsty Sword Lesbians that it's okay if you want to be cishet. like, it would be one thing to make a game where you can neatly extract the lesbianism and have the same game, a surface-level aesthetically queer game with no actual interest in queerness except as a marketing term. it would fucking suck but this paragraph would at least describe such a game. but TSL isn't that!!! . 'thirsty sword cishets' would be a very different and much worse game! awful and self-defeating paragraph. deeply silly concern to address and give airtime to. i didn't buy a game called 'thirsty sword lesbians' to be told 'its okay to be heterosexual i pwommy'
so yea just to reiterate: i like the game overall, i think there's a lot of good valuable stuff in there designwise despite all this. but i'm very ambivalent about it--ironically, i feel a love-hate relationship with this game about love-hate relationships. i admire it and yet i despise it! i long to put it at the tip of my sword and slowly tilt its cover up so that the pages look up at me coquettishly but with burning anger in their page numbers. if this book was a person id hatefuck it, is the joke, thats the joke im making, here, in this post. thanks
¹ i call it TSL whenever i can because the name 'Thirsty Sword Lesbians' makes me cringe out of my fucking skin. genuinely horrible name. i'm sure it's funny the first time you hear it, i got a mild chuckle the first time i heard it to, but it's such an obnoxious thing ot have to say repeatedly when seriously discussing it. should have stayed a placeholder name amiguitas

Congrats on the 3k! Not shocked at all, you're wonderful and deserve it! 💜 I was wondering if you'd do a smut piece with Echo and fem reader with the NSFW prompts 'can you feel what you are doing to me?' And 'you are the biggest turn on'? But would it be possible to add the 'accidental brush' prompt to it? If not, no worries! But maybe like a mutual pining/idiots being in love with each other and not realizing it until something finally caves? I'm a sucker for that stuff lol
3000 Prompt List Celebration
Echo X F!Reader
word count: 1.6k
NSFW
prompts:
• “Can you feel what you are doing to me?”
• “You are my biggest turn on.”
• & ‘Accidental Brush’

authors note: oh @theroguesully I’m so sorry about the wait! This was completely lost in my drafts and it was scheduled to be posted literally months ago but Tumblr said no. Anyway, hope this is okay and thanks for the support! Love this idea.
“Are you busy?”
You glanced up to find Echo near, his mechanical hand cradled in his grasp. "I've got time," you replied as you set your previous task to the side, observing him settle next to you as he lays his prosthetic down gently. "What seems to be the problem?"
"It's acting up. No clue what happened. I've tried everything," he explained, a hint of frustration evident in his voice. Your lips curled into a knowing smile.
"You think I might have a solution?" You took the cybernetic hand, studying the connections and circuits. "When did it start acting up?"
"Roughly an hour ago," he admitted, his gaze intently following your movements. Most people made him feel self-conscious about his enhancements, but with you, he felt different. It was your gentleness, your genuine care. And the undeniable fact that you were the most enchanting individual he'd ever encountered - a secret he guarded closely. Though he had his suspicions that maybe Hunter knew. And Wrecker… and everyone else. Just hopefully, not you.
"Hang tight, I'll sort this out," you said, pinpointing the malfunction. "I can bring it over when I'm done."
"You trying to send me away already?" He teased.
"N-No, it's just—" You stuttered, forever caught off guard by Echo's smooth presence. From the moment you'd met, you could not deny the fact he made your heart skip a beat. He was also so tentative and kind, not to mention utterly handsome too.
“Mind if I stick around?”
The intensity of his gaze caused your hands to waver just a fraction, betraying the storm of emotions raging within you.
"Of course," you managed to reply, trying to sound more composed than you felt, then refocused on the task at hand.
As you began to work away, Echo was captivated. Watching you effortlessly navigate the intricacies of mechanics always left him in awe. In his eyes, your skill rivaled that of even the most seasoned experts like Tech. Or perhaps he was simply biased.
But as time passed, his appreciation began to shift. While you remained engrossed in fixing the issue, his eyes strayed to the gentle curve of your lips, the way you absentmindedly bit down on your bottom lip as you concentrated. It wasn't meant to be enticing, yet he found himself stirred by the sight. He swallowed hard, an uneasy tension filling the air around him. Shifting uncomfortably, he hoped you wouldn't notice the effect you had on him.
Echo's sudden fluster caught your attention, making you smirk mischievously. "Everything okay?" you teased, having caught his uneasy demeanor.
"Just... feeling a bit warm," he replied, his fingers absentmindedly adjusting his collar.
"Well, don’t worry because I’m now done." You handed over his fixed prosthetic, your heart fluttering as you awaited his verdict.
The ease with which he reattached it and the grin that spread across his face told you everything. "You really are something," he whispered, though not quietly enough to escape your ears.
You leaned closer, the playful edge in your voice unmistakable. "And what’s that?"
He met your gaze, a warmth emanating from his eyes that had your heart skipping a beat. "Brilliant," he replied, his voice firm with conviction.
Taken aback, you offer a shy smile, averting your gaze. "I should get back to my work," you murmur, gesturing to your previous task. He follows your gesture and nods in understanding.
"Do you need a hand?" Echo offers, his eyes searching yours for an answer.
"No, it's just some minor tweaks left. But hey, if your arm gives you trouble again, let me know," you reply warmly, your words making him feel an unexpected surge of warmth.
He returns the smile, more genuinely this time. "I appreciate that. Is there any way I can thank you? Anything you need?"
Caught off guard, the first thing that comes to your mind spills out, "A hug?"
His eyes widen, clearly taken aback. You've shared casual touches, sure, but a hug was stepping into new territory.
Seeing your hesitation, he responds with a soft smile, "I'd like that."
You both stand and Echo's eyes search yours for a moment, and then with a gentle determination, he opens his arms to you. The galaxy seems to slow as you step into his embrace. The surprising warmth of his body against yours feels both unfamiliar and comforting, the steady beat of his heart syncing with the rapid thumping of your own.
You rest your head against his chest, discreetly inhaling the unique scent of him - a mix of metal, oil, and something distinctly Echo.
But, something feels different.
You pull back from him slowly and that’s when you see it. Your mouth subsequently waters and a sudden heat pangs at your core.
Your heart races as Echo, completely forgetting that his previous arousal hadn’t completely faded and the hug, only sprung it back as you accidentally brushed against him.
“It’s not what it looks like.” He utters quickly, eyes wide and absolutely mortified but you’re too stunned to speak.
And you’re not at all upset. In fact, you are rather in awe. “Then… what does it look like?”
Echo's face burns, the combination of his embarrassment and the close proximity making it all the more intense. He struggles to find words, his confident demeanor faltering in the face of his unexpected vulnerability.
"It's... I mean..." he starts, trying to form a coherent thought, "Being close to you, feeling your warmth, it just... affected me. And watching you work…”
Your eyes remain locked onto his, the weight of the realisation settling in. The physical evidence of his attraction had been a surprise, but in a way, it also confirmed what you had both been dancing around for so long.
Taking a deep breath, you muster the courage to admit, "I affect you, huh?"
As you didn’t back away, in fact coming closer, Echo let out his own deep breath and sincerely hoped he was reading the look in your eyes correcting. “You’re my biggest turn on.”
With your eyes dancing in delight at his confession, you couldn’t help but lick your lower lip, enticing Echo more whose eyes flicker straight to your lips that he had been thinking of kissing for so long. “I think I’ve thought of a new way you can thank me, Echo.”
“And what’s that?” He rasps.
Closing the distance once more, you gently let your hand begin to palm the aching length in his pants, having him shudder and moan in satisfaction. “I think you know.”
Without a second thought, Echo’s lips are on yours. He kissed you like a man starved, tongue diving deep into your mouth as you manage to slip your hand into his pants, taking a grasp of his warm cock that twitches beautifully under your grasp. “Fuck, Echo,” you compliment as you feel how big and perfect he was.
“Can you feel what you are doing to me?” He breathes against your lips, earning a grin of your own as your pussy throbs in response.
“I never thought you’d feel this way about me,”
“How could I not?”
Pulling his pants down to his ankles, you take a second to break the kiss and to admire his length. Both of your hands come into contact with him and he grunts at the sensation. “You look so good stroking my cock,” he whines, leaning against the control panel as he gazes down at your hands that start a perfect synchronised rhythm, pumping against his as precum lubes up your motions.
You lock eyes with him, his hooded with lust as you pleasure him with your hands, watching his chest rise and fall with heavy breaths. “Do you like this?”
“I love it, I love it so much.” He whimpers, knees shaking as you cup his balls, gently fondling them whilst your other hand maintains its rhythm. “D-do you want me to touch you?”
You smirk but gently shake your head. “I just want to focus on you today, I want to show you what I’ve always wanted to do.”
He blinks, surprised and incredibly aroused. “You have?” He says with a soft grunt, biting his own lip as he feels his climax start to build.
“Mhm, I’ve… I’ve always wanted to do this. With you.”
“Well,” he reaches his hand up and cups your cheek before sliding his lips over yours in a quick and heated embrace, “don’t let me stop you.”
Your pace begins to quicken, and his breathing becomes more stuttered as his hips involuntarily start to roll, sliding his cock in and out of your grasp. “Not - oh fuuuck - not going to last much longer sweetheart.”
“Cum for me Echo, cum.”
He’s saying your name over and over, his head tilted back as you pump frantically at his cock until you feel a beautiful warm texture paint your hands. You gasp at the feeling, his silky white cum covering your hand.
When you pull back, you quickly grab some tissue and clean yourself up, shyly handing over some for Echo who takes it, completely flustered. “Thank you.”
“So,” he says slowly once he’s tidied himself up and pulled his pants back up, “can I ask what this means?”
“I mean,” you shift in your position, sincerely hoping you’ve read the situation between you both correctly, “I think it’s obvious that I have feelings for you.”
At this, he blows out a breath of relief. “Good. Great,” he smiles warmly, “I’ve had feelings for you for a long time too. I just didn’t think you’d feel the same.”
You approach him again, this time you both instantly fall into each other's embrace. “You’re just going to have to thank me next time in a different way.”
His eyes widened slightly, a playful smirk forming on his lips. "Is that so?"
You nodded with a mischievous glint in your eye. "Definitely."
Echo chuckled softly, his hand resting gently against the nape of your neck, pulling you closer. "I look forward to it. Just know that I have plenty of ways to show my gratitude."
☀️ Requests Open until the 15th of October. ☀️

Were your Durge/Tavs inspired by characters from other movies/shows/literature?
Lilla's neither; she's more of a "side character," but here are her biggest inspirations!
Judge Anderson (DREDD): Lilla is a Knowledge domain cleric - supported by her Patron Bane (introduced by Gortash, of course). Anderson can read minds, and Knowledge clerics have the same ability, as well as other Banite-adjacent abilities like Command, and Dominate Person. She's obviously going to be different than the other Banite cleric NPC's in game, as her job is to specifically protect Gortash (she protecc but also attacc).
I wanted her to be bookish, prim(in public👀), and an over achiever - essentially a prime example of professionalism, as the boss is trying to be a politician 😈
I really like Judge Anderson's innocent competence, so I wanted to keep that Lilla's front-facing demeanor; even when her arc does stray away from the good moral alignment after being hired on by Gort - in which her moral alignment clearly gets influenced by him, but she realizes later it's literally just in her blood to be a Banite!
---
Lee (Secretary) -I love the innocent-to-confident character arc, (as you can probably see by the Judge Anderson arc as well,) but let's be real, Lilla was originally created for a smut so I could waggle my brainworms, and the Secretary holds a special place in my heart.
The movie greatly inspired Awaiting Further Instruction, and I really enjoyed having Lilla go through an adventure of finding her nature, with the help of Gortash, of course. You've got the pathetic Dom, and the pathetic Sub, and while they're both actually pathetic, they find a security in each other's world that even though it's unconventional and twisted, it brings them comfort.
---
GoGo (Kill Bill): obviously vastly different from Anderson, so you can kind of see how the arc goes - and while I don't make Lilla nearly as sadistic as GoGo, she still does have a little streak of it when it comes to anyone who is threatening, insulting, or impeding Gortash in whatever way.
Lilla's demeanor can quickly switch from prim/professional/sweet, to taking personal pleasure in dispatching a rival for Gortash, depending on the level of the crime. Like him, she has a personal perception of justice that greatly aligns with his, and if she has been sicced on someone who has wronged him, she will sentence them accordingly. This can range from playful banter/underhanded threats and blackmail, to abruptly decapitating a goblin mid-sentence because he said something uncouth about Gortash.
My vision for her was the "loyal sidekick of the mob boss," and I find it extremely fun giving her a more interesting role than "yes master, no master," specifically for smut purposes.
---
Scleritas Fel (BG3) : LOL Yes, my initial idea was: "Why can't Gortash have a little minion like Scleritas Fel?" And here we are 😅🫣
I didn't want to rip off the concept of Scleritas directly, but Lilla is still intrinsically tied to Bane because he made her - not like Bhaal made Durge - but more of a "secret, experimental ritual commissioned by Bane, conducted in the outskirts of Calimport where some Banites conceived a person designed to seek out and serve his Chosen, but she ended up being too loveable and the Banites couldn't stand treating her like Banites should, so they wiped her memory, sent her to an orphanage, and offed themselves in shame," kind of way.
Obviously Bane was also ashamed by his botched experiment, so they have a shaky relationship, but that's all been settled in the fic 😇
Ultimately I wanted to write something fun for Gortash - and give him something nice! Lilla is very nice, and likes him very much (bordering on obsession), and is actually very useful in many ways beyond smutty silliness! She does a lot of research, spies, transcribes, organises dossiers/blackmail material, and pretty much oversees his political campaign and businesses (legal and otherwise) while he does the big-boy-chosen work.
I'll do one about Destri (Durge) soon too 🥰
Now that I've prattled on, I'd love to hear about other people's inspiration for their OCs, if they have them!!

The Dream Friends are thrust into a murder game! (Simulated. No one's actually dying. >.> )
Now...
...Who fulfills what tropes?!?
First to Die: either Marx or Dedede
Marx because he's a good fit for the "I don't believe this. This is stupid. There's no way this is real." :immediately killed off as an example of the mastermind's seriousness: character. (Or because killing "the funny clown guy" first achieves the same goal.)
Killing Dedede would be the hardcore version of this where you know no one is safe. That said, both of them have a strong claim to the title of Kirby's "rival" so whichever doesn't die is also a shoe-in for that character that is ALWAYS arguing with you in debates. The evidence is RIGHT THERE! You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?!?
- [Continued Below] -
Meta Knight is your support character who does all the complex mystery solving for you till they get removed toward the end of the game. Same with Magolor, except for the opposite side. Magolor is the one who is never completely trustworthy but still guides you to the logical answers with his trickery. These two almost assuredly die together-ish in the same late-game chapter, pitted against each other by the mastermind to isolate Kirby. On Magolor's side, he will probably be trying to make amends for messing up badly and causing someone to get killed accidentally earlier.
Bandee is an end-game survivor. You just know he is. Adeleine is either another survivor or dies in a middle chapter shock death because you had every reason to assume she was safe until she wasn't. May also be one of those characters who slowly breaks down and loses her spirit as things go on, being a completely different character at the end of the game. Especially if Ribbon dies at any point. (If Adeleine dies first and the killerdidn't get Ribbon too, Ribbon will absolutely go ballistic on someone else later on.)
One of the two, Flamberge or Francisca, doesn't make it to the end. Tight knit pairs like these always get split up. Flam seems to need Fran more, so I'm going to assume it's Fran that gets the deep freeze (ohoho...) requiring Flam to both be held back from destroying the place in her rage and slowly learn to be on her own. Zan is a good fit for the rules lawyer character always trying to wrangle the group who is pushed into breaking her own code (probably for Hyness.)
Rick, Coo, and Kine are the quirky background chatter group who all (?) die in the same chapter when the stakes start getting really bad. Gooey survives till the end 100% because you need that one person who cannot follow the logic behind the mystery to save their life and has to have things explained to them but you still love them.
Elfilin is almost perfect for that innocent character that can do no wrong until you realize...oh no, they've been tricked into being responsible for a murder and there's nothing you can do to save them. Goes gracefully to their fate, wishing everyone the best...
Susie is one of those characters who isn't making it past chapter two. (Sorry, Susie! You're still great!) By process of elimination, Taranza probably gets to be the "last boy" sole survivor of Wave 3. But also for being smart enough to keep his head down when everyone else is being idiosyncratic. (Plus just actually having no murderous intent.)
Daroach voted most likely to seem like a reliable, funny friend for most of the game, only to be revealed as a wicked murderer later on only to THEN be revealed to have done the murder for the greater good of the rest of the party. Cue tears. (Aka, "the Gundham")
Dark Meta Knight is the biggest wild card. He could either be 1) the requisite asshole victim/patsy in someone else's scheme 2) the jerk killer without a sympathetic motive that makes you question if any of you are going to make it out of here alright 3) the one guy who is belligerent and nasty and unhelpful but won't just kill anyone and get it over with, only to step in at end to fill MK's empty shoes at a critical moment, saving the party 4) that guy who never really did anything good or bad and you cannot BELIEVE he made it to the end! Nooo! All my favorites died~! Why are you still here, you jerk~?! /affectionate
--TLDR--
[Survivors] Wave 0: Bandee Wave 1: Gooey Wave 2: DMK and/or Adeleine Wave 3: Taranza Wave 4+: Flamberge
[Potential Survivor] Dedede/Marx
[Murderers] Meta Knight, Daroach, Zan, Elfilin, Ribbon*
[Victims] The AF, Magolor, Susie, Francisca
*If Adeleine dies
#Kirby#Dess Concepts#Dream Friends#Sometimes I just wake up and think about murder games >.<#Seriously talk thoughI I really do enjoy the DR series#(Plus I never joined the fandom for this one so my feelings...#...for it are almost entirely unpolluted by drama and whatnot)#ask to tag

I've been writing a lot of Persona 2 so I want to explain some of the character dynamics I have in my AU. I post my stories on my AO3 acc.
General:
AU where everyone met when they were kids but they were normal and no interference from any canon deity
Jun's parents never divorced so he's Jun Kashihara
Katsuya is still a cop
Jun and Tatsuya are dating
Maya and Katsuya are dating
Maya and Ulala are ex girlfriends but on good terms (wlw amirite//lh)
Eikichi and Miyabi are dating
Lisa is a lesbian (she doesn't know yet)
Chikarin has a thing for Lisa but she has no idea
Jun is close with all of the members of Gas Chamber
More info under the cut
TatsuJun
Dumbass couple. They're head over heels for each other but they're also teenagers. They get into a lot of petty fights. Their parents gave them their blessing but they have to consistently get good grades!
Jun and Eikichi
They run Kasugayama High! People don't really expect it but they're best friends. They're ALWAYS together and I'm pretty sure they share one braincell but the braincell is cut in half.
Jun's parents are actually Eikichi's biggest supporters and Eikichi's parents approve of Jun because of his grades. They sleep over at each other's places often.
KatsuMaya
Everyone's (love) gurus! Almost everyone asks them for advice and by them I mean Maya. Katsuya is also honestly as confused as everyone else but he's always down to help! He may get aggressive when it comes to Tatsuya though....
Maya is also there as the queer dictionary as she is bi. If you're questioning your sexuality, come see Maya-neesan! But only when she's at the Suou's house because her room probably has an undiscovered virus in there somewhere....
Jun and Lisa
They are the closest friends! Lisa's lesbian closet is so closed, she's not even aware she's in a closet. She recently got over Tatsuya and is very supportive of Jun. Jun is trying to help Lisa realize her sexuality but she's still trapped by the comphet. Maybe one day....
Tatsuya and Eikichi
They are rivals in almost everything but most importantly, Jun's attention! Eikichi is straight but he's Jun's best friend first before Tatsuya was even thinking about dating Jun! They get into silly competitions but it's mostly Eikichi competing (Jun fans the flames cause he thinks it's funny).
They're very close and the whole rivalry thing is a bit. Tatsuya gives Miyabi a ride on his bike when Eikichi isn't around to send her home.

i need to know what you think about uta being ace's and sabo's sister too... like imagine a perfect world where uta existed without the mess of film red (i did enjoy it but also uhhhhhhhh there are a lot of weird things abt it bc i dont think shanks would actually take in uta like that considering he did experience piracy as a kid. so why would he put uta through that even if she'd stay put on the ship–) ANYWAY. so lets say shanks found uta after obtaining the devil fruit and takes her to the nearest island (dawn island.) then found makino and luffy and convinces her to stay w them or whatever.
i imagine that ace and uta do bicker w each other a lot. however sabo is very kind and excited to have a sister!! he's protective of her and enjoys her songs. (which brings out a surprising singing side from sabo ehe...)
i also imagine that uta is as rowdy and gluttonous as her brothers tbh. i mean, she's the only girl there so she's more than likely to be influenced by them. ALSO imagine uta being raised by dadan wheewwwww.... i think if she was raised alongside asl bros, she'd end up way different than she did in film red and well- actually become a pirate– (maybe rivaling with her brothers? that or she acts as luffy's biggest rival to be pirate king as her way of supporting his dream) (idk im just thinking as i type)
so everythings the same but uta is there with three insane brothers (shes as insane too... she is their equal). though it's lowkey clear dadan has a favorite (she loves a tough daughter) and god everything w garp would be so insane too like. before sabo was accepted and started living with the bandits, garp was happy to have a granddaughter (till she said she wanted to become a pirate too 😭) BUT he makes sure ace and luffy treats their sister right and is again being a favorite– however, she wouldn't suck up to him like that. like how the brothers would shield each other from garp, she would also shield them from garp !!
"leave my little brothers alone, old geezer!"
and yes, even if uta is a year younger than ace and sabo, she still would call herself a big sister (especially for knowing luffy longer than the other two. shes just used to being the older one)
anyway... lets say asul au is a tjing, now consider ASUL + S as we love talking about asl+s. with uta around, sanji likely thinks that all sisters are good because shes nice to him too. and how she clearly loves her brothers too. but ofc, uta surrounded by brothers while claiming to be the big sister, makes sanji incredibly jealous about their sibling relationship. it reminds him of reiju and his brothers, how they never really got along. while asul got along really well. they fight a lot but it's never with the intention to hurt each other or make the other feel worthless.
and who am i if i dont bring up sabosan at some point LOL. (also mb that this ask is so long i just love uta sm and i love aus sooo bad <<3) uta is definitely one of the first to notice her brothers' fondness of sanji. she is fond as him as well but not the same way as them lol. she tells sanji some secrets about sabo and sanji just cannot tell if shes actually serious or not because of how mischievous her smile is. and uta absolutely teases sabo about sanji, especially when hes not around like– that little song that little kids sing when it comes to someone havinf a crush.
"sabo and sanji sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g !"
and luffy definitely chimes in while sabo is beet red and begging them to shut up fkldjfldj. makino and uta Looooves gossiping about sabo and sanji. makino does ask to tone down her teasing, which she does, but she can't help but push each other's buttons.
idk theres just a lot to think about if uta was raised with asl brothers and uta growing up to be a pirate :^)
THIS IS SO CUTE !!!! Honestly, Film Red never sat right with me but not exactly because of Shanks' decision of keeping Uta. I see that pretty much in character for the guy-- What I don't like is the way they rushed the ending and the way it all ended, in general. It's just obvious they wanted to do Uta's story but in a way that didn't affect the canon and it's just- Stupid. Idk.
But let's say Shanks meets Uta and spend some years together and she does consider him her father (as I see it, because in this sibling group all of them have to have daddy issues. Except Luffy. Because more than daddy issues he just. Doesn't care-) but he leaves her with Luffy because he says it will be good for her. I think she wouldn't agree with his decision and something like in the movie would happen. Where he just... Leaves. And Uta ends up hating him or at least resenting him a bit. And it's obvious he did for her and he had good intentions but she's just a kid, so she genuinely takes it personal. So, yeah, the girl stays as Luffy's older sister, basically. At least this is how I see it.
Then Sabo and Ace appear and- It's chaotic.
Imo, she's still a diva and she still loves music because it's in her blood and also, she spent some time with Shanks so she already has a bit of her personality made. But being with them makes her learn more about protecting herself and being a bit ruthless, although I think she's more of the type to ler her brothers do the dirty work and only follow them in their shenanigans if they go "You only say that because you can't do it!!" (<- Ace, definitely) and she has to prove she can be as strong as them. So she's a diva but she's a bit more impulsive and reacts in a more violent way. Especially with food too.
I think she wouldn't get along much with Ace at first because he's a mess and she's also a mess and they're really similar when it comes to being Luffy's older siblings so they wouldn't agree on most stuff. But daddy issues are a good way of bonding and I'm pretty damn sure that if Ace ever said "Should I have been born?" in front of her, she would go insane trying to make him see that everybody deserves to live.
With Sabo, though, I think they'd get along pretty well. Sabo is still chaotic but a bit calmer than Ace and he has a strong ideology that Uta would definitely share. He wants to make a statement for freedom and Uta agrees and tbh, he's a writer and she's a singer and there's no better friendship than that one.
Her relationship with Luffy is pretty much the same, except that she now acts way more as a sister and not only as a past friend. Of course. She joins them drinking too!!
Ngl, you can hate me for this but I think the events of Red could easily happen... Again... I mean... Not exactly those events but-- Uta's dream would obviously be to reach everyone with her music. To make them feel seen and loved and making them see they should live. Because after spending so much time with her brothers, she wants to sing songs for the rest of the people that feel the same way they do. She always has them in mind when she sings and she always, always, tries to make them have fun and enjoy life. I think Uta's perception of living and freedom would clash a lot with Ace's and she'd try to make him want to live through music. Same with with freedom and Sabo/Luffy.
But then Sabo dies. And Ace dies. But Sabo comes back and-- I am sorry, and I know it partially was the mushroom's fault, but she's kind of unstable mentally (who isn't in this show tbh) and it wouldn't surprise me that her blatant optimistic views would make her want to do exactly what happens in Red again. But I think this time it should be Sabo and Luffy the ones saving her and, you know, idk, maybe Shanks is there too but this isn't about him today. Whatever. She doesn't hurt anyone and it has a good ending, but it's not the point of the post--
So Sanji is there with them! Following what we've already been saying about Sanji staying with the ASL bros but now adding Uta!!
Uta would absolutely. Adore. Sanji. He's the perfect little sibling. He's cute and knows how to cook and he's literally everything that's right in this world. She complains about Luffy crying but when Sanji does so she only says it's cute and that he deserves to cry-- Uta likes cute stuff canonically and Sanji is the cutest thing, so it makes sense. Also, Sanji just assumes every woman in the world is perfect from that very second because between his mom, Reiju and now Uta he has only had good experiences with girls. He does feel kind of left out at first remembering everything that happened with the Vinsmokes, but Uta always tries to include him in every little thing!
She really likes teasing him and Sabo, though. Uta might adore Sanji but that doesn't mean she isn't a little bit mean to him. It's obvious that they like like each other because, you know, they're kids. Look at them. It's obvious. Uta knows, Luffy knows, Ace knows... Sabo and Sanji spend so much time alone and Sabo always tries to be next to him and he looks at Sanji with like, literal heart eyes.
Uta: Do you like Sanji? Sabo: Sanji? No. No. No. Sanji's just a friend... Uta: Why are your eyes shaped like hearts? Sabo: Allergies...
Uta is an artist. A singer. She's 100% a hopeless romantic. I will die on this hill. So while Ace is extremely "ughhhh" *disgusted noises* by Sanji and Sabo's flirting and Luffy couldn't care less (he just likes teasing them because it's fun to see them panicking), Uta tries HARD to get them together. They're listening to her songs? She will sing a romantic one. They're alone? She will gently push one of them closer to the other. They eat spaghetti once and she goes all the way to try to do the thing where they eat the same one so they kiss. Etc etc etc. She won't stop being a little brat about it too, teasing both of them. And it's driving Sabo crazy. Makino asks Uta about the kids because she knows the girl is as invested as her in the relationship. Funniest thing in the world.
Now I can't stop thinking about them spearating when Sabo dies, following what we said etc etc etc And Uta becomes a famous singer. She doesn't kill anybody, okay? Let's leave it on her just- Doing a huge concert. Sanji and Sabo have already reunited but please, imagine these two not dating just yet. They're in love and pining but not dating. Everyone hates it. And then Sabo joins them for the concert, ofc, and when Uta sees them again (and sees Sabo is alive?? Because what the fuck why didn't they tell her???) one of the first thing she says is "Okay, okay... So you two are... You know?" and they don't understand what she's saying but literally all the crew is like "They're still pining. Please. It's awful". Girl makes it everyone's problem so she does this kiss cam thing to get them together finally. Like I said, good ending.
#sorry for replying so late i have like. a ton of asks and not enough time wekjjbjkrbf#but this is literally amazing i adore this#uta my absolute beloved she's the best#one piece#asl brothers#uta one piece#black leg sanji#revolutionary sabo#portgas d. ace#monkey d. luffy#sabosan

ok, i'm getting behind on ym star trek updates. last sunday we watched ds9's "sanctuary" and tng's "parallels," monday we watched ds9's "rivals" and tng's "the pegasus" (out of order!!! 💔) and last night we watched ds9's "the alternate" and tng's "homeward." we were supposed to do "rivals" and "the alternate" monday, and then the "pegasus" and "homeward" last night and i really wish we had bc i was not in the correct headspace to really enjoy the alternate but that's what i get for forgetting to check my spreadsheet!! ANYWAY.
sanctuary (ds9):
i love sisko in this episode. he has the same vibe w his subordinates as he does with jake, that he will back them up even if they're breaking rules but also when kira didn't do her homework he does have to lay down the law a little bit. lovingly, but he does. and since he never does it w/o a reason and w/o compassion nobody really minds
i'm sorry but the reverse sexism was really funny. thank you 90s tv for being brave. especially with her having multiple husbands. get it girl
kira and haneek should have explored each others bodies also
quark picking up the nephew like yeah hes gonna do it again. poor odo
literally it was such a good little conundrum bc all the logical reasons they gave for bajor not being able to support more people were like correct or whatever BUT THEY WERE FARMERS. you get the idea they really could have helped and that kid didn't have to die but inherent, knee-jerk suspicion of new/foreign people just got in the way in both cases. like you had the solution right there!! unfortunately, as we know, people
why is it ALWAYS kira's episodes that go this hard also. it's always like "here's a thing about the complex and ugly truth of the human(oid) nature and how we just have to live with ourselves" and every time it pops off
parallels (tng):
we were just saying "there's no ways tng would have the pussy to do something like this" when tng came on and also was really good
first of all, my worf e deanna DREAMS are coming true. sorry to the actors ik they hated it but i know in my heart worf e riker e deanna is real..............
i read the episode summary for this one but it said AMNESIA not WORF SWITCHING REALITIES. so i had fun going wait the cake WAS chocolate earlier and being gaslit along with worf
his little surprise party hat. please.
i didnt notice data's eyes being blue at the time but going back and looking at the pics is WILD
my baby boy wesley crusher was there also........i missed him sm
the universe worf left was crazy. picard dead, geordi dead, deanna forever without her husband...jesus christ
but my FAVORITE part (aside from the romance) was the bit there the zillion enterprises showed up and the crazy borg-hunted riker was like NO NO WE'LL NEVER GO BACK girl i was like oh but i wanna see inside those other enterprises! actually no i didn't
worf finding out deanna began having the potential to develop feelings for him after the ritual suicide thing and then IMMEDIATELY turning around to seduce her when he got back to his universe...so true. i would have done the same thing. i know he's gonna get w dax later and deanna will eventually marry riker so he's GONNA fumble it but don't fumble it!!!
rivals (ds9):
have only seen princess bridge 1 time when i was a teenager so i was not able to enjoy the biggest appeal of this episode rip
actually i thought the a plot of this episode kind of sucked ass. i didn't find the conman particularly funny or charming but i also didn't hate him enough to get invested in his downfall. also, it was so stupid that he took that machine when the guy explained that it had literally killed him............like, girl, are you stupid? obviously ds9 can save it with endearing characters and like, Acting, but i wasn't having much fun with it
i DID love the obrien bashir racketball matches though. first of all the fact that luck decided who won and not actual skill and no we'll never know...but secondly, bashir like Oh No I'm Going To Kill Him With Tennis. like, my guy, you could have just showed off less out of the gate. it went against his twink instincts though
keiko's go-get-em-tiger was really good. he would have won anyway i just know it
quark trying to DRUG A DOCTOR. his audacity truly knows no bounds. i hope those orphans got their blankets
i do like also that when they figured out the matches had been rigged they weren't even mad about it, they were both just curious and trying to experiment. i love when obrien and bashir hang out it's really great
the pegasus (tng):
TNG HAD PUSSY TWO EPISODES IN A ROW EVEN
picard day really good. yes. be miserable. i love riker getting to dunk on him
i really really REALLY enjoyed riker's energy when his old captain came aboard. jonathan frakes isn't the most technically accomplished actor on that cast, but he does such a fantastic job with that shift - riker is normally such an easygoing, funny, down to clown guy that whenever he gets :| you notice RIGHT away. episodes where he gets to be serious and angry wouldn't work if he got them all the time (though my lament for tng is that we don't get character stuff more often...), but BECAUSE they're rare, even a little too rare, you take notice all the more
i wish we had gotten to see riker sparring with worf <3
argument between riker and picard was FUNNNN i don't like picard but i DO like it when sir patrick stewart acts and i think him being on his game and jonathan frakes also being on his game was wonderful. first of all, i love it when they say the m-word, and secondly, riker grinding his teeth because he WANTS to tell and all his instincts are screaming at him to tell and he CAN'T because his loyalties are divided or whatever...delicious.
beaming aboard the ship frozen in rock with the perfectly preserved bodies. mwah. dead bodies won't even age. i know it was a budget thing and space probably wouldn't really keep them from decomposing THAT well but it quite literally took riker back to the scene of the crime and he was like yeah no i'm not having it. GOOD for him.
bonus when riker gets locked into the brig <3
the alternate (ds9):
ODO...................................
i recognized the scientist by his hair!!! he mentioned before he copied it from him
dr mora die challenge. it's not exactly that he "abused" odo in the traditional sense but he did put him in a cage, and he dehumanized him with his experiments, and every single word out of his mouth was either dehumanizing or patronizing. i love how quick they both were to correct the assumption about this guy being odo's dad - like yeah maybe an adoptive dad in a way but odo wasn't a "child" he was just so different from humanoids he had to figure out communication from scratch
like, this mf commenting on odo not having gotten the ears, or like wow you can tell what emotions people are displaying just by looking! say that again to my face i'll kill you.
dax was so weird in this episode. i kept wondering if she was possessed or something because she showed up out of nowhere and offered to buy drinks with bashir and said something about the pillar being moved. a red herring which was perhaps unintentional but unsettling nonetheless. her personality is still fluctuating a lot - at times she's prissy and at other times she's just one of the guys! but at least now she has one, from time to time. not in this episode though
i felt. SO BAD for that little life form they kidnapped. you suffocated it to death :(
i also felt terrible for odo. firstly, he deserves to kill that guy. secondly, how humiliating for him to be seen in goop form by half the station...he doesn't like being seen like that :(
i still blame dr mora though for basically triggering that last transformation...i was so mad at the end when odo was like yeah we can reconcile :) like i get loving the people who "raised" you even when they "abused" you but this wasn't quite that. i wish we had got more of a sense of them having, at any point, actually ever liked working together to solve the mysteries of shape shifters. i looked him up on imdb though and he DOES come back so maybe better luck next time
homeward (tng):
i fucking hated this episode.
firstly, who brought worf to his parents? i thought it was their adult son who was in starfleet, but was it worf's dad who brought him home? cuz this guy is worf's age and was not officially in starfleet...
secondly, there should be a clause in the prime directive about "if everybody is about to die save them with the least interference possible." i get that that runs the risk of like, being written down in their bible as jesus and altering their culture, but the idea that the culture is better off totally annihilated than altered is a little bit missing the forest for the trees. like, putting those machines on the planet in the first place would have been WAY less inference than having worf and his brother lead them to safety.
ALSO, I CANNOT BELIEVE WORF'S BROTHER KNOCKED THAT WOMAN UP. like, this kid is not gonna pop out of the womb with his surgical alterations!!
also, that guy who killed himself didn't get his special document delivered back to his people...worf KEPT IT as a souvenir? one of the only surviving documents from their old culture??
furthermore, his brother did not "won up to responsibility" by staying with those people. he's further contaminating their culture with his outside influence including the HALF HUMAN BABY and since he's marooned there he will never see his parents or brother ever again. because he got the awooga eyes. like, yes, he saved them when starfleet (picard in particular) were being horrible, but also, he didn't save their culture even a little bit, and he's lying to himself if he thinks he did. and WE COULD HAVE SAVED THEIR CULTURE WITH THE MACHINES. that was so much lower risk...................
redeeming factor of this episode was that worf is HANDSOME under all that klingon makeup. like i knew he was attractive because i've seen like headshots online but i like never saw him moving his face and acting without it. he's actually really expressive..........why do you hire a man this beautiful and then put him under all of that. like he's absolutely stunning i was so shocked
TONIGHT: ds9's "armageddon game" and tng's "sub rosa," which i have seen celebrated online for some reason? something about sexy ghosts??

Okay quick recap;
Carlos, Daniel, Pierre, Alex; his past teammates, all got along well with Max and are still very close friends with him
Charles; childhood rival to emotional support rival, enough said
Nyck; friends for years, Max helped him get an F1 seat and rescued him from Merc
Nando; this man has adored Max from day 1 as has Jenson
Lando; his bestie let's be real
Mick; childhood friends who grew up going on vacations together. Literally had their own language because they couldn't understand each other but wanted to be friends.
Yuki; they're hilarious together, it's clear to see that they have a laugh together
Nico H also gets along well with and has a laugh with Max
Nico Rosberg despite being terrified of Max when they were racing each other (I believe deep in my soul that, outside of the Brocedes narrative which ofc played it's part, that this man saw Max at red bull for one year and thought FUCK THIS SHIT I'M OUT because he was reminded of when he was teammates with Michael Schumacher and he saw the writing on the wall), is one of his biggest defenders when sky sports tries to spread bullshit
Antonio has talked about how he's been friends with Max especially since they were in f3 and how Max was one of the first to reach out when he lost his seat
Kimi and Max also got along well
You said it all about Seb and were absolutely correct
For fuck sake even Esteban gets along well with Max and he was the one driver Max clashed with. They were friends growing up, shit happened on and off track, they've moved past it and are friends again because it was five freaking years ago and they've known each other far longer than that but the anti max girlies love to ignore that.
Max might be painted as the villain of F1 like Seb and Schumi before him, but that doesn't make him a villain to the drivers on and off the grid who actually know him. Shock horror he's actually one of the drivers who is loved the most in the paddock.
Max is truly adored by most of the drivers on the grid no matter how hard people want to act like he’s this big bad wolf. He is honestly one of the most popular drivers on the grid with these drivers because of just how he is…he’s sweet and is always looking to talk to all the drivers😭😭
He’s just a little lion who wants to Maxsplain and have fun😭🧡
(Nico getting ptsd of Max being like Michael😭😭😭stop😭)
#max is honestly one of the most popular people on the grid#with both drivers and teams#honestly Max is just a driver who is loved by most drivers#there is only really one who tries to talk shit about Max#max verstappen#rambles#f1#formula 1#red bull racing#🦁🧡

wait i would love to hear your thoughts on ravenclaw marlene...
Oh my god oh my god oh my god OKAY
RAVENCLAW MARLENE MY BELOVED
Firstly, I have always headcanoned Marlene to be from Ravenclaw because the first Marauders fic I read that featured her (The Marauders series by Pengiwen which I will always recommend, you can read it on wattpad and ao3) She was a Ravenclaw and then when I first started posting in this fandom which was in 2018 and I was in the video editing side of Instagram there was like 10 of us and a few of them also saw Marlene as a Ravenclaw. Even tho her being a Gryffindor had always been more popular it wasn’t uncommon back then to see someone hc her as Ravenclaw.
I have just always loved this head canon and they could never make me hate it. I find it very frustrating how a lot of fans will complain about how in the original series all the good guys are Gryffindor and all the bad ones are Slytherin while Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff get overlooked but then do the exact same thing with The Marauders characters.
The way I see Marlene I don’t see her as the smartest in her class or the most skilled. I think she was sorted into Ravenclaw because of her creativity and her logical outlook on life. She’s not exactly booksmart but she’s very clever and can use her knowledge elsewhere.
And I love what she brings to the Ravenclaws as a whole. Everyone has a different opinion on who was apart of The Marauders year and which house everyone was in but here’s my personal head canon on Marlenes dynamic with the other Ravenclaws in her year. (I still head canon that she was apart of The Marauders year)
Emmeline Vance was her best friend and I mean like James and Sirius type shit. Emmeline and Marlene are those cute opposite attracts besties where Emmeline is more booksmart Marlene is more streetsmart but yet somehow they share one braincell.
Hestia Jones is Marlene’s worst enemy. They got off on the wrong foot when they first met and ever since kept finding new reasons to hate each other. There was no peace.
Sybill Trelawney was someone that Marlene liked and respected but wasn’t friends with mainly because Sybill was best friends with Hestia. It was a sort of agreement between the four girls that Marlene got Emmeline and Hestia got Sybill so while Marlene never disliked her she never saw her as anything other then an extension to Hestia
Kingsley Shacklebolt was one of the only people who Marlene would let take care of her. He was two months younger then her and yet still somehow her big brother. When she would go off the rails he was the one who would pull her back
Gilderoy Lockheart was Marlene’s weak point. When they first met in their first year Gilderoy told her about his two older sisters who were squibs and how they didn’t like him because he was a wizard (leaving out the fact that he was heavily favoured by their parents and extremely arrogant) and Marlene’s older sister instincts came out. She was always the one to call Gilderoy out on any of his bullshit and always made sure to humble him but could never truly dislike him. If Kingsley was her big brother then Gilderoy was her little one. They both also bonded heavily over Quidditch
(canonically Gilderoy was born in 1964 but i got too attached to him being in this year before i noticed that he's a few years younger so please just play along)
Alexander Stabbins was someone Marlene was friendly with but not friends with. Alexander and Hestia had this whole academic rivals to lovers thing going on and Marlene was Alexanders biggest supported when it came to him taking down Hestia. Realistically, Marlene knew that they fancied each other and dreaded the day when she wouldn’t have their arguments as entertainment. Either way, Alexander was company she was never upset to have
ALSO TO SING US OUT HERE ARE A BUNCH OF RAVENCLAW MARLENE HEADCANNONS
- She was the Quidditch captain during her fifth and sixth year at Hogwarts. During her sixth year she captained Hogwarts first ever all girls team
- After a night out in her sixth year she, Emmeline, Kingsley and Alexander got locked out of the common room because they were too drunk to solve the riddle to get in
- SHE LOOKED SO FUCKING GOOD IN BLUE YALL. SO FUCKING GOOD
- As you could’ve probably guessed from her dynamics with her house mates, the Ravenclaw class of 1978 got into a lot of arguments. They argued like they were dysfunctional cousins at a family reunion. One time during their second year a fight got so out of hand that Flitwick locked them in the charms classroom and made them do team bonding exercises as a punishment
- Speaking of Flitwick, Marlene respected him a lot as he helped her come to terms with her sexuality and the homophobia from her family by telling her about the discrimination that he had to face being half elf
- During her sixth year Marlene sent out gift baskets to James Potter, Dorcas Meadowes and Edgar Bones (the other three Quidditch captains) and left them a note saying that she hopes the gift basket is enough of an apology in advance for destroying them during the Quidditch season. (Dorcas set hers on fire)
RAVENCLAW MARLENE THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU
#RAVENCLAW MARLENE MY BELOVED#i would sell my soul for people to jump on this headcannon with me#the marauders#harry potter#the marauders era#marauders#marlene mckinnon#emmeline vance#hestia jones#alexander stebbins#kingsley shacklebolt#gilderoy lockhart#sybill trelawney#dorlene#ravenclaw#aces headcanons

jealous 478jk smut drabble sneak peek :O
Jungkook looks at you like he’s lost.
There’s this wide-eyed look to him, the origins in it embedded for a reason you can’t decipher. He doesn’t exactly look like he’s mad even when his jaw is clenched, and he doesn’t precisely look sad either while his brows are furrowed. Jungkook’s at a loss for words, even when you’ve thoroughly explained your impending absence for the next week.
“It’s an artist retreat, baby,” you repeat, tracing along his fingers while he’s stuck in a trance. “We’ve already watched the first season of it, remember? It was a different cast the first time but this time, I’m included,” you test out your explanation at the tip of your tongue, confused when he still doesn’t speak. “We’re all just… basically gonna have fun together.”
Your husband doesn’t speak about it. He’s thinking about it longer than necessary even if you’ve already made your decision because after all, it’s your career and he’s your biggest supporter. There shouldn’t be any qualms about your incoming reality show stint as a promotion for your newest drama, not at all — is what he’d like to think.
Jungkook doesn’t reply to your explanation whilst helping you pack until your phone dings face-up, the pop-up notification hovering above your home screen of him carrying Hwayoung in his arms. He shouldn’t be bothered, really. The preview of your groupchat with your co-stars (that just conveniently has Yoongi’s face as the photo) and its pings have long been playing in the background for the past month now.
Jungkook doesn’t open his mouth except when his eyes catch the tiny text, the message immediately met with laughing reactions.
Min Yoongi
| i bet my car jungkook’s gonna try and fit in y/n’s suitcase LMAOOOOOOOOO
“I know what it is,” he suppresses the urge to roll his eyes, passive-aggressive as he folds all your underwear into tight bundles with the way he’s clenching his fists. “You sure I can’t come?”
You only chuckle, tickling Hwayoung on her sides as she’s propped up in the bed because while your husband’s packing your things for tomorrow (and on late notice too because you’re already leaving for your schedule tonight), you’re packing her bag because she’s staying with your parents for the next three days.
Jungkook doesn’t know what to do with himself, actually — he knows what he does best and that’s being your husband and Hwayoung’s dad, but with both his girls gone for the next few days, he’s a little lost.
Doesn’t know what to do with himself when he’s lost in his own thoughts of how you continue to be even more popular and with that, you’re prone to have more articles and rumors attached to your name. His alone time hasn’t even started and yet, he’s already internally going down the rabbit hole of what he searched up last night; that you despite being married to him, you and Yoongi are each other’s soulmates.
It’s stupid; he really thinks it is. He finds shippers stupid and also the countless threads where everybody just talks for the sake of talking, saying that the way Yoongi looks at you can’t be rivaled by the way he does.
He finds picture slides and videos annoying when you and Yoongi are in it and it’s to the tune of the most recently trending, cloying nostalgic song, both the posters and the people in the comments saying that you and Yoongi must be each other’s greatest loves — just conveniently (and rudely) skipping over the fact that you have a husband and a kid.
“I’m pretty sure you can’t, Jungkook,” you snort, ruffling his hair.
Jungkook tamps down the rising guilt of selfishness because the tiniest bit of him doesn’t want you to go on that trip. He doesn’t want you to go on that show because the hype between you and Yoongi will only ramp up, your names about to be linked more often than it already is.
Your husband tries to keep his selfishness at bay when he drives you up to the shoot location and hugs you closely– longer than what is needed for a couple who’ll only be apart for a week. He still smiles (although tightly and a little forced) when your co-stars who are mostly men to begin with, promise to take care of you and make sure that you won’t go home with even a single mosquito bite.
There’s too much time in his hands, most of them he doesn’t even really need alone because he thinks that its best use is when he’s with his family. Jungkook knows that he’s needy and he’s trying not to be clingy so much but he thinks this time, it’s not only in his head that you were barely giving him something to go by.
There were no rules about not using cellphones during shoots and given that you were the only actor in your team that had a husband and a child, you were given more leniency in all aspects.
Jungkook tries his hardest not to be clingy because his only check-ups on you are whenever it’s time for meals and before sleep. He’s tamped down his selfishness to a minimum and yet at the first time you answer for the past two days that he’s tried checking up on you, it’s in the context unlike what he’d imagined.
| brb yoongi’s teaching me how to fish lol
Of course he is. Of course that for the first time you reply to him, it just had to be on the duration where no fish are biting on your bait while Jungkook thinks that probably, Yoongi’s out there chuckling beside you seeing the array of his previous, one-sided texts.
He dials you immediately, swallowing down his growing annoyance just because he really, really wants to hear your voice.
“Can you talk right now?”
“Yeah! What’s up?” you perk up at the sound of him, making him relieved that you’re not looking to drop the call anytime soon.
“So I’m looking into-…”
Of course Jungkook gets interrupted when he was about to relay his plan of possibly bullying Jimin into letting him crash your schedule (when the cameras aren’t rolling) just to visit you.
Of course it’s Yoongi who interrupts him.
“Y/N! Is that Jungkook again?” he yells in the background, the distinct voice of the guy being heard all the way through the other side of the line. “Eat up while the food’s still hot!”
Jungkook has no words to say — especially when you don’t give him any chance to do so.
“He’s — yeah, yeah! I’m coming,” you yell back but despite the volume, Jungkook doesn’t even flinch; he just clenches his jaw. “Gotta go, baby. Yoongi’s the boss, I don’t wanna get on his nerves tonight.”
It wasn’t your yell prior that makes Jungkook’s ears ring; it’s your soft-spoken yet urgent tone when you say to him that you’ll get going because Yoongi’s the boss. It’s what makes his teeth grind together and the pulse in his neck grow because you’re in a hurry to go get dinner, because you don’t want to get on Yoongi’s nerves tonight.
The flush rises in his neck and for all the wrong reasons, his skin warm from the rising irritation that just begs to manifest into something more tangible — something more memorable.
Without a second thought, your husband gets into his car and starts the long drive to you, brewing in anger the entirety of the four hours that it gets to you. They all fly by quickly just as how he weaves in between cars, the angry honking no match to the noise inside his head.
Jungkook walks right past the staff who’s packing up equipment for the next day because almost everybody’s gone into sleep, not stopping for the stunned faces and the excited squeals, not even for Jimin who squawks at his unexpected presence and the way he walks inside the main house with a mission.
It’s easy to spot your room despite having no knowledge of it at all because of course, your co-stars had the decency to give you the biggest and solo room anyway. Jungkook walks past discarded card games on the hallway and even bumps with a Doberman that’s half his size, the dog sniffing at him right before he enters your room.
You don’t flinch because you think it’s one of the lovely and doting producers giving you a face mask because you forgot to pack one, but when you turn — you flinch because it’s Jungkook.
It’s your husband in the flesh, clad in his gray sweatpants and a short-sleeved shirt that’s worn-out perfectly to the point that it stretches across him perfectly. If you couldn’t read him before you left, you certainly can now.
Your mouth opens and closes but you can’t find the words, lips parted open in surprise as you try to reel in his presence.
“Your husband can’t come, but Dongwook’s dog that’s the size of a horse can?” he scoffs, trudging towards you with his hands in his pockets. He doesn’t even greet you hello.
“Kook, I love you but-…” you start, looking up to him automatically but you stumble on your words when he hooks his arms around your back and presses you to him tightly, the pout he has on his face when looking down on you making you shut up.
“But?” he tilts his head, the smile on his face too empty yet provoking that it gives you goosebumps. “Why are you withholding yourself, sweetheart?”
“What are you doing here?” you whisper-yell once you’ve had the semblance to actually reply, trying to pry yourself out of his hold but he doesn’t even loosen up one bit. “You can’t be here!”
“Says who?” Jungkook questions, a hand raising to get your baby hair out of the way. He’s doing it so slowly that you hold your breath, his thumb lingering on your cheek when you can only watch him closely. “What are they gonna do, fire you? They can’t do that to someone who gets their ratings up.”
“What are you going on about, Jungkook? Why’d you drive all the way here?”
Your husband laughs– actually laughs and even throws his head back but you can’t find what’s exactly so funny about it, your confusion only spurring on him more. He thinks that sometimes, you could be so humble to the point that you’re clueless — painfully too clueless to the point that he’s driven the hours just to instill something in you.
“Can’t I just miss you?”
There’s that frown again on Jungkook’s face that intimidates you more than it annoys you, one that weaponizes him to trace the tip of his nose from your hairline to your cheek until he settles his face to your neck, making you swallow the lump on your throat when you automatically open up to him.
“I, I missed you too,” you confide, the shudder that racks through you when he suddenly bites at the sensitive spot between your neck and shoulder enough to make you hyper-aware. “Stop. Yoongi’s sleeping next door.”
Jungkook’s face was buried in your neck one minute ago but at barely the blink of an eye, your husband’s face is right in front of you, jaw clenched and eyes glazed.
His breathing’s staggered, the thumb that had only been pressing against your shoulder now on your chin, tilting you up to look only at him.
“There you go again,” he snickers, the pout he has on his face sickeningly sweet. Jungkook pries open your lips with only his thumb and puts the pad of it flat on your tongue. “You’re a fucking brat, y’know that?”
“Excuse me?” your eyes widen, words slurred from his thumb in your mouth. You try to pry him off you with no real fight as you put a hand on his wrist, but he only chuckles lowly at your attempt of handling the reins.
“What, you’re offended that I called you a brat?” he asks, moving both his large hands this time to grab ahold of your face. Jungkook comes even closer that the sight of him makes you almost cross-eyed, his voice low yet venomous. “What’re you gonna do, huh? Run to Yoongi?”
“W-why would I run to him?” you ask in confusion, brows furrowed as you try to make sense of everything; the slick smoothness between your legs, however, not being rocket science to figure out.
Jungkook laughs to your face.
“Why are you so confused, hm?” he whispers. “Didn’t you say he was the boss? Surely, you don’t wanna get on his nerves, do you?”
You think back to what you’d said hours ago, making sense of your rushed words. “I didn’t mean it that way.”
It’s too little, too late for Jungkook no matter how sincere you are, his mind already being made-up.
“And I don’t care,” he smiles, eyes dark and dimples deep when he delivers his sentiment. “This is long overdue anyway, don’t you think? Thanks to your crush on Yoongi-…”
“I don’t have a crush on him.”
“I didn’t say you can talk back to me. Didn’t even tell you to speak,” he spits, his hand splayed across your nape tightening slightly when he speaks against your ear. You have no plan on escaping his hold but he grips you like you’re going to anyways. “Thanks to your slip-up though, you’re gonna learn whose nerves you don’t actually want to get on.”
Jungkook inhales your innocence and exhales his selfishness, the smile that appears on his face coming across determined; desperate enough to put you at his mercy.
“I need to put my brat in place.”

Scarabée and Kitty Claws AU
Updated OC list
Dalia Kubdel
Alix and Jalil's mother as well as Alim's wife who has passed away due to a horrible car accident. She died in a car accident when Alix was seven. Like those un her family, she has the "ALI" in her name. She would call Alix "my little Scarabée".
Monica Bisset
One of the girls on Alix's Roller Derby Team. She has a major crush on Alix, but hates Chloé. Ironically, she's a massive Kitty Claws fan.
Albert Corbin, Julien Garnier, & Tristan Boucher
Three bullies that are in Marc and Aurore's class. They're massive fans of Scarabée and Kitty Claws (Albert often tries to flirt with Kitty Claws, much to her dismay). Each of them are akumatized on three separate occasions.
Aurélien Bustier
Caline Bustier's seven year old son. He looks so much like his mother. Chloé absolutely adores him, but wouldn't like her classmates to know that. He doesn't know his father.
Lillian Thorns
A very nice and generous woman that owns a flower shop called "Éclat Épanoui". Alix is often taken to there by Rose or Mylène. Lillian was also good friends with Dalia Kubdel.
Mitchell Clark
An American male model that works with Audrey Bourgeois in New York. He's secretly a fan of super heroes & quite the history buff. He takes a liking to Jalil.
Esmée Rousseau
A teenage girl that's a major fan of Scarabée and Kitty Claws & has major crushes on both of them. This double crush goes away after she's akumatized. She also helps Alya out with the School Blog and the ScaraBlog from time to time. She's great of making and designing superhero cosplay and pins.
Brigiette Alarie
A teenage girl that's a member of Francoise Dupont's drama club. She's a big fan of murder/mystery movies. She's not the biggest fan of Chloé, but a major fan of Adrien.
Elroy Castillon
A teenage boy that Marinette and Max beat in the Gaming Competition (which gets him akumatized). He doesn't like Max and Marinette very much (seeing them as rivals), but has a crush on Chloé.
Henri Bohen
Juleka's biological father. He's known Anarka since she performed with Jagged Stone. Once she got pregnant with Juleka, he was so sure that she'd send Luka to be with Jagged. When she doesn't do that, he leaves.
Valerie Anciel
Marc's loving and supportive mother. She's a well known Dramatist in Paris & she adores the writing Marc would show her & understands when he wants to keep certain things he writes about secret. She also adores his relationship with Nathaniel.
Jolie Gouin
A teenage girl that goes to the same school as Kagami and Ondine. She's seen Alya's Scarablog and has wanted to be a Journalist sense then. She developed a crush on Scarabée and wants to interview her someday.
Lucinda Zeal
A Detective/Private Investigator I introduced in an other AU that I wanna introduce in this one as well. She's actually quite supportive of Scarabée and Kitty Claws doing great work. When Queen Coccinelle and Mao Noire comes into play, she's ready to find out what happened to the younger heroines.
If you all have more ideas for OCs or ideas for the current ones, let me know!

Question,
On your oc sheet for bulzar, you mentioned about him disliking humans with some exceptions. Has he ever befriended or at the very least was mural with a human?
Bulzar is a gruff and very territorial fellow, so even if you get on his good side, don’t expect him to act all warm n’ fuzzy around you (Miko being the obvious exception). That said, it is still possible to befriend him, especially if you make a good first impression and prove you’re not a threat to his precious son.
Bulzar is on pretty good terms with these guys, although introductions were seriously rocky:
This is the trio of bounty hunting bois I mentioned. From left to right, we have Grimaldus (aka Grim for short) the foul tempered conjurer, Balroc the big n' rowdy warrior, and Owin the optimistic young mage and healer. The story where they first meet the giants is still in the works, but @amanofhamm wrote the blurb below explaining how the gang came to be:
It all begins with Owin. He's a young but highly intelligent student of magic who cares for people and wants to use his magic to help others. Other mages were jealous of him, but his elders loved his mind and his talents. However, it became clear that the masters were dabbling in the dark arts. Owin tried to plead with them to not corrupt their souls, and when they abandoned their morality for power, and many other mages followed suit, Owin denounced the guild and went his own way.
The first he came across was Grim, an elder mage who was originally from a rival guild, and regarded Owin's guild as a bunch of pansies. The two first met when Owin decided to travel the world to find a new way to help people. Grim, meanwhile, was on his way to a bounty, using his magic for a job usually suited for tougher warriors. But Grim's particular brand of magic was quite deadly. At first, Grim didn't like Owin. He thought of him as a little wimp who would just slow him down...til a ghoul bit and poisoned him, and Owin ended up saving the old mans life. So after that, it was like, "fine, you can tag along, kid..."
But when the two were on their way to Grim's bounty, they came across Balroc, who was also after the same bounty as Grim. Balroc was already a bounty hunter and was looking for the biggest, toughest bounties to take down. He doesn't talk a lot about where he came from, but he's clearly a very skilled warrior, but also deeply boastful, headstrong, and while not a meathead, he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed either.
He'd also just gotten his ass kicked by the monster he was after. Grim told him to beat it since the monster was his prize, and Balroc basically told him to go fuck himself. And the two, naturally, did not hit it off especially well. Grim went after the bounty himself, with Owin's assistance, and sure as the sky is blue, Grim got his ass kicked, and once again required Owin's healing.
So, Owin came up with the idea of the three of them working together, Grim using his magic for ranged attacks, Balroc for close attacks, and Owin supporting them both with his magic to provide defenses. And sure enough, they took down the monster and each collected and split the rather large bounty. And from that point on, however begrudgingly, they became partners who constantly bicker but grew to trust and care for one another, tho Grim will never admit it.
Owin's around 19 years old. He's the youngest of the bunch but also the most mature, well disciplined and empathetic. He's very kindhearted and always willing to help others out, even if there's no payment in it for him.
Balroc is anywhere from his early to mid twenties and acts kinda like a rowdy big brother to Owin. Though, he's not a mentor by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, a lot of the time, Owin's the one teaching him a thing or two. Though, he's the biggest and strongest of the bunch, with excellent combat stills, resilience, stamina, and an appetite to spare. He's not quite as trusting as Owin, but he's got a good heart and isn't afraid to show it from time to time. Though, he has a deep hatred of monsters.
Grim is in his sixties, and is like the grumpy old uncle to the two bois. He's a grouch through and through. Hates most people and is seemingly only ever happy when he's tormenting Balroc. He and Balroc bicker and argue like an old married couple all the time. And while not a strong fighter, he has more spells than he knows what to do with. He doesn't give a shit most times, so long as there's a pay day. Grim has a heart, but he's like if Grumpy Cat were a dude. "Fun is overrated."

hey! same anon as the q about weaknesses you received before bc i really like your universe LOL. so, how do the kagamines interact with/see each other?
thank you ;v; and uhhh I'm not quite sure how you mean? (at least in the idea that I've talked a lot about the Kagamines and their relationship on this blog) but if you'd like something more in-depth...
Rin and Len see each other as akin to siblings in my verse! They're very close and usually do stuff together, and consider each other each other's best friend and greatest rival :> they bicker and banter with each other a lot but it's rarely serious
Rin is very much an annoying older sister XD She likes heckling Len, bossing him around and dragging him along on her wild stunts, but it's really just her teasing - she loves Len very much and is probably his biggest fan. She hates it when he self-deprecates because she knows how good of a person he really is and tries to support him as best she can in her own way, and she's always there to uplift him when he needs help. She's also usually the one gently pushing Len to step outside his comfort zone and become more confident in himself. She's actually very scared of losing him in a serious way.
Len, meanwhile, tends to bicker back with Rin and rolls his eyes at her when she's doing something crazy, but he cares for her very deeply and is even a bit of a pushover when it comes to her (something he really isn't for anyone else). He's always looking after her and is usually acting as her "conscience" in a sense XD he gets frustrated with her attitude sometimes but he's very in-tune with Rin and how she feels and regardless of how much she bugs him he's always there for her as soon as she needs him. He's very protective of her and even if he has trouble admitting it to her face he looks up to her quite a lot :>
Also, naturally, they pair up a lot when it comes to their heroics, since Rin is very much a "punch first, ask questions later" kind of girl and while Len is more skittish with combat he's very good at planning and is usually the one coming up with strategies for their fights. They've had many an argument about their approaches with crimefighting but when they actually put their strengths together they're hard to beat :>
#asks#i should not be answering asks when i'm dead tired but i would forget what i was gonna say otherwise#but yeah! if i misinterpreted what you were asking please let me know#they're my sillies#tbh if you want a good ref of what the kagamines act like towards each other#go listen to saisho na futari or iine tte yeah from wanopo#my rin and len take several pages from wanopo's book so to speak lmao#vocal android verse

I told this to Winter before but I’d like to post abt it for a bit
I think a lot about how Mobile Suit Gundam is a show about distance in the same way that Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a show about the lack of distance.
Spoilers for both shows after the read more.
In Gundam, there are only two factions at play, both acting at the ends of human-habited space. Their enemies barely show contact with each other, as they rarely exchange communications between battle.
In the White Base, it is a whole ordeal to for its crew to even get contact or support with the rest of the Federation at all.
Char, the Red Comet, first real enemy of the White Base, disappears from the show for a very long time, with barely any news of him, leaving both characters and viewers unsure of his return.
One of the biggest aspects of drama in the show are a pair of siblings, separated for years, struggling with their own sides in this war.
The most notable exchange of touch between two characters happens in the last episodes of the show, between rivals that had violently fought each other countless times before, barely knowing the face of one another for that entire time.
Even in the figurative sense, Amuro’s journey is all about separation. From his home, his father, his mother, and everyone that’s ever cared about him. It is only near the end that he truly holds onto that connection that he has with people, after he’s lost so much already because of that distance. Some of this show’s most powerful episodes were at moments when someone straight up left their friends behind when they shouldn’t. Some of Amuro’s worst regrets were at a time when he was separated by a locked door from everyone else that could help him.
The conflict in the show is called the One Year War, damn it. It’s all about a long time, a long travel, a long way from home, etc.
Now think about Zeta Gundam.
The show starts with Kamille watching two of the closest people die in front of him.
The two rivals from before, 7 years without hearing from each other, now exchange words and drinks in person.
Now all the factions fight over smaller territories, instead of the larger encompassing space of the one year war. And they do this with Mobile Suits that actually talk to each other. Strong enemies in battle, instead of barely seeing each other as people, intimately know how who they’re fighting against look and sound like. They often meet outside of their Mobile Suits. They exchange punches, kicks, and sometimes even words of understanding.
Something I noticed from the first few episodes is just how narrow the corridors in those ships are. I never noticed this in the other show, but in Zeta, most corridors shown are barely two people wide. It is physically impossible to go past someone without some kind of dodging around them.
Because of this, intimate encounters in the hallways are also very common. Kamille and Fa, the only people in the show who would be at each other’s side no matter what, when or why, hold each other like it’s as natural as breathing. A strong embrace, something that in the previous show was a season-ending scene, was now just a small piece of the lives of these two.
People in Zeta don’t die in explosions, their bodies never found. They die in their comrades’ arms, outside of their Mobile Suits, and their hopes and dreams move on to help their friends not fail at living.
The final death of Mobile Suit Gundam is when a man shoots someone he’s hated for his entire life from afar with a rocket launcher. The final death of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is when a boy flies his ship directly into the chest of the man who doomed him and all of his loved ones that day.
I have nothing else to say here, I think. Just wanted to get that out there.

I’m now very curious what your opinions on kagehina are after seeing your tags under that fanon post 👀
no strong opinions really, just not the most popular opinion from what I've seen. I fully understand the ship, but based on the source material alone I don't see their relationship that way at all, and I think it's much more interesting as it's presented in the show vs through a romantic lens. After watching through the whole show these last couple months, I think all of haikyuu is more interesting actually when you don't ship the characters, but also it's a male dominated shonen with an ensemble cast and it's very easy to ship almost any two characters together so I understand why it's so popular to do so.
All that said, I do ship Hinata and Kenma a lil bit. what can you do, I think they're neat. I also like them a lot as a friendship too. I'm not really picky, because I love the source material as is and the source material is by and large not romantic, therefore almost all of the dynamics are built on a sports foundation, which as a sports girly, I really love.
But yeah I just think kagehina is much more interesting as a complex teammate/duo relationship where they're both each other's biggest rival and most important collaborator. They're linked on the court because of what they can do with each other that no one else can do, but sort of reluctantly close friends off the court. I also think their roles in the story are very interesting, I like the way they complement and mirror each other, the way they support and challenge each other, and I just think they have a really fun and fascinating dynamic as presented in canon. I think putting them into a romantic context kind of flattens all that and also tends to severely mischaracterize them and their dynamic.
In short they're just much more interesting to me as teammates than they are as love interests.
#hq#haikyuu#a note on the romance comment#there is a bunch of compulsory heterosexual romance in the story#shoved into the tiny little cracks where they're not playing volleyball#which i don't have a problem with on their own#but I'd rather the show either have no romance because it doesn't really add anything#or some queer rep because if you're going to have romance then only het romance feels very targeted#but like what am i surprised i don't live under a rock i know how it is#but i just wanted to note that since i said the show isn't very concerned with romance#HOWEVER#i do think it's notable that neither of kagehina are shoved into a het pairing in the show#idk about the manga and the time jump#and with their very close relationship on the court#i think it's very easy to interpret that as an allegory for a queer relationship#and i think it maps very easily into a romantic context#i just personally love sports so i like the exploration of a complex teammate relationship#I think that's the other thing is most of y'all nerds primary motivation in watching this show is not sports for sports sake lmao#which is actually my favorite thing about it#so the fandom typical activities around a show like this fall to the back burner for me#that's all! thanks for coming to my ted talk or whatever#hmbomt#a-rdentlyy
