✨hi! I'm neptune.✨
He/they/it
Toric, lunarian, transmonster, catgender, lesbian, asexual, demiromantic, aroace
I am a minor!!
I am disabled, with autism, ADD, OCD, and IBS, which make having a regular schedule hard (so posts will not be consistent)
This account is meant to be a buisness casual account.
That means that i'll be posting silly things, buisness, as well as things that need attention.
(I would say that all money earned is going to wildlife conservation but i have my own project i wanna do by hand so i'm not sure if personal conservation counts)
------------------------------------------------------------------
I strongly believe in equal rights, and i think that rich people should die and then be deprived of the peace of rot.
Terfs, jk rowling, trumpies, anybody who participates in the color coded political system, racists, nazis/antifurs, proshippers, and sex accounts are not welcome on my blog :) (if you wanna interact, get a sfw account, i dont wanna see a nasty pfp. I am a kid. Being sexual is ok but do it far away from me and my blog) bri'*sh people are tolerated but tolerated only (if you fancy yourself to be a brit like spider-punk you will be loved here)
I am white!! My experiences and advocations are always going to be slightly wrong, and anyone who wishes to correct me is appreciated. The voices of those suffering are more important than the voices of those who are not, and i will do my best to try and step behind and give them a megaphone.
I like to try and find the safe spaces with sunshine and rainbows in the world while i give creative threats to people who try and erase things :3
This blog will also most likely have taxidermy content, as this is a hyperfixation and a passion of mine, and i also hope to turn this into something that will help people too.

Analia the Bee
I made this after finding a bee that I thought was dead, but was actually still alive, barely.
I don't usually name my specimens, but I asked my best friend if she wanted a bee named after her and she said "yes" (btw her name is pronounced "ah-nah-LEE-ah", not "an-NAH-lia").
Of all the animals I've found, this one made me the saddest.
Here are some pictures of the bee right after I found it and thought it was dead:
And here are some pictures I took of it today:
Rest In Peace, small bee friend.

Moonlit Dream Keeper
“On silent hooves
he steps
night watcher
dream keeper
oh great stag
may the moon shine
ever bright
may you cradle it
in your antlers grand.”

bone post!!
these are from some very old roadkill, i think possibly a juvenile fox. i moved the rest of the remains out of the road into a flower patch.
from left to right - rib (broken), foot bone (?), wrist/ankle bone, vertebra, foot bone (?), teeth and jaw fragments
and some close ups
i've never found this many teeth before, and they're in such good shape considering the circumstances. this is also the second set of (presumed) fox jaw fragments in my collection!

anyone looking for a an ovine companion? this beautiful kathadin whether sheep skull is still looking for a new home. this guy was one of my sheep last year that i raised for meat. He's almost perfect - only missing one tooth and a small bullet hole in the back of the skull, and would look awesome on a wall or shelf. won't you adopt him today?

Now that I actually have time to post about it, very excited to talk about my first deer project!!
We start with this skeleton, one of my family members got her out of a ditch by the cow farm for me. She surprisingly wasn’t damaged (other than a chunk missing from the pelvis)
I ended up attempting to scrape the ligaments off, but it wasn’t not successful, it had rained, and they were SLIPPERY and TOUGH AS HELL!!
After this failure I decided to macerate. And then was in a different state for 3 months!! Eventually I got to come back and proceeded to procrastinate the Bucket Dump ™️ until it was 110 F or like 43?C out. And injured my trapezius BAD. But I did get to dump it before I felt the consequences of that, as well as spray the bones and begin the degreasing process
The 2 buckets ended up being different colors at this point which was very interesting. The top is the ribs and spine, which ended up coated in black bacteria, while the bottom (skull, scapula, and legs) ended up a bloody red, but afterward about normal.
Very excited to peroxide bathe when I get home :3 :p
Will update then
