On the Kinsugi AU, I wonder if the Sun Warrior's ruby seal might have been made from some sort of dragon byproduct, like dragon shed or scale. And the reason it is no longer done is because, well, there aren't really anymore dragons.

Omg I love this so much!!! The original form of Kintsugi disappearing as a direct result of the extinction of the original firebenders is just *chef kiss.*

Maybe a small piece of Ran or Shaw's shed/scales is used to seal a tiny little scar on Zuko, as well as the center sun on his lightning scar. Later, when Druk comes along, a ruby-like scar or two will find their way on Zuko's body, a testament of his binding relationship with the dragon.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.
