Don't think I've said anything bout it but

the urge to craft keeps grabbing me by the collar and shaking me recently

(It's at times like these that my mom's pearl & bead + pliar + wire + thread (a lil bit) collections come in handy :D and my soda tab collection too)

(My childhood bottle cap collection would've been great right about now, but it's been lost in the abyss that might just be a trash bin who knows)

((I might complain, but being the spare storage room for craft things isn't always so bad :) ))

#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #the caribbean #scenery #my gif #my favorite world in the game #it's so beautifully crafted and fun to explore #they did such a good job with port royal i'm no expert on the movies but i'm sure it's a super faithful recreation #there are so many lush islands to find with caves full of treasure. it's like a real pirate adventure #i'm glad that we're able to dive into the water because i really like underwater scenery and being able to freely swim around #i love sora's pirate outfit and that he gets a ship of his own to sail. he has such a blast in this world #the banter between sora donald goofy and jack while on the ship is a lot of fun too #big fan of how they integrated the organization's search for the black box with the chest that contains davy jones's heart #gotta love when the main story ties into the plot of a disney movie #the final cutscenes in this world are insane and so well rendered that they're almost indistinguishable from the movie #i sent screenshots to friends asking if they could tell the difference and they couldn't #not that i'm complaining because it really elevated the experience but why did they go so hard

Hehe I’ve gotten this question a lot actually! They’re all real— I like to think hybridization isn’t always a clean balance of traits, so Ren just unfortunately ended up with two sets of ears— his Dog ears being much more receptive to sound, naturally— and sometimes when the extra intake of sound is too overwhelming, I imagine he wears earplugs in his human ears to help adjust :> it’s a bit weird, but idk! i like to make designs funky and nonconventional! I liked the idea that Ren had hearing struggles due to wonky hybridization and just kept the concept :>

#my art #this is how I think theyd present themselves either in person or in headspace. the slouchers <3 #sifs outfit is simple; the boots i always give them (but with star laces for funsies); loose sweater; simple pants #the pants are Meant to be jeans but isat doesnt Specifically Have Jeans so. theyre just Pants.#the sweater is slightly looser bc sif doesnt seem like a Form Fitting Clothes kinda guy to me but hes Trying to be more open #on particularly good days theyll roll the sleeves up or wear a sleeveless one methinks #even if everyone Knows abt the self-harm scars its hard to Look at them.#i also associate them being more open with them not wearing an eyepatch. esp bc hes the only one of the three to go without it #for mal (or 'ami' as i like to call it) i wanted smth reminiscent of a mourning outfit bc mal du pays means homesickness #and i picked 'ami' as a nickname bc ami means friend :] at least according to my basic translator. i dont speak french <3 #ami's outfit being dark is also reminiscent of the inversion thing its got going on in canon.#ik the veil is starred in the original but i think ami would want the fewest reminders of home. on account of The Issues #(actually if i can come back to sifs laces sif also has issues with reminders of it bc of the memory loss but the shoelaces are His Choice—#—which gives them a form of control over it and they can keep it subtle or undo it if he wants. which makes it easier)#anyway. i put amis hair in an updo and smoothed the hat bc i think ami wants to be Unremarkable. For todaaaay's 3D alter, it's the Japanese version of One Piece, Volume 1! I've been a huge fan of one piece for a while, so this one felt like a no-brainer to make! The wood and Luffy's soles have been textured so they reflect the materials they're made from! It's my first time trying this technique after Laios' armor in my previous Dungeon Meshi cover, so I hope it's come out well!

I love the logic that's come from me starting to craft because like... I needed a bookmark and it would take three seconds to find a receipt or tear a piece of paper, but actually, it makes more sense for me to draft up a crude pattern and spend thirty minutes crocheting one. It makes sense, it's obviously a rational choice
