okay i know i literally just made a post about how badass lyra is…. but can we just talk about how she’s so much more than that?

this girl is so empathetic. she’s so loving. she’s so intuitive in all the right ways.

she is doing everything she can to get some justice for her dead father who 1, was absent and didn’t even know how to pronounce her name, and 2, literally shot himself in front of her. he took away the girl she once was and still lyra feels empathy for him because of the circumstances of his suicide.

she doesn’t owe him anything just because he is her father. so far, we know that lyra’s dad has done NOTHING for lyra. and yet she’s still doing all she can to help him because that’s who she is.

lyra is an example of how grief and trauma can change a person. she’s still the kind and loving girl she once was, but grief can harden you. lyra’s belief that she’s not this sweet girl that she once was completely contradicts her mothers view of her, and also everybody else’s who knows her. her being this stubborn, petty girl that we see in the grandest game doesn’t make her any less empathetic on the inside. she’s not just the girl who puts catcallers and brooding suit wearers in their places, she’s the girl who loves her mom, her family, the house on her dads land, and dark chocolate, and i’ll forever love her for that. 💗💗

Speaking of lesser known musicals (unless you’re in the community), you a fan of the 25th annual Putnam county spelling bee? I did it in high school, and it’s probably the goofiest musical I’ve ever heard of.

Not a fan of it but I do know about it and now I'm having flashbacks to middle school/early high school 😭😭 we didn't do it but our drama teacher played a couple songs/clips and a few people got assigned a part from it to do and they were Bad At It lmaoooo

redesigned my oldest OC, Max (Formerly Brianne/Bridgette), to be more butch because it's simply what she deserves, and butch transfems are great

she's my longest running character, with probably the most drawings of any of my OC's, so i thought i'd do a timeline of all the times i've drawn her :)

At some point you're gonna come home to your little apartment tired from work, but you'll end up laying down next to the most important girl in the world to you. Your cat is going to come in, make a little huff, and plant her back up against one of your beloved's legs.

And then you'll remember just how much you wanted this. How much you dreamed of it, and how you had imagined so many small things that ended up happening, like the cat cozying up to you. There will be other small things that will catch your senses - Someone moving into a neighboring apartment, cars racing down a nearby street, the familiar smell of your lover - that you hadn't considered in your dream. All of this is a bit new to you since maybe you were unable to leave your family earlier, but the sense of a world and community out there, mixed with having your whole world in your arms, is exactly what you had dreamt about for so long.

Over a decade and a half of you thinking that a situation like this would be impossible, that you'd be stuck in a body you loathed, and either alone or unwanted. So many years stuck in survival mode, so many people who pushed you down or away, but you had a dream you'd get to feel so loved and adored. You read about others surviving for so long, and you read about them getting to this dream you had.

You're just so happy you got there too.

My favorite 5am dynamic is Really frustrated/worried operator Sam x Chaotic impulsive piece of shit Five and that they somehow work flawlessly with each other DESPITE countless bouts of:

“Runner Five—Five, you can’t go there. I don’t care if there’s more medpacks in there we have Enough” and Five finding a camera to squint and glare at before running towards the medpacks . Even if a horde is maybe two or three minutes away because They know they’ll make it in and out . And they only really listen to Sam if there’s really no other option but to take his options bc OTHERWISE they’re gonna use every second they can get

And then when Sam watches over another runner who actually does what he says, he’d be thinking “wow!! This is boring, isn’t it? Five has turned me into some thrill-seeking maniac!!” Despite all the close-call encounters even with that runner 😭😭

Another dynamic or idea I like is Sam understanding Five’s cues flawlessly because they’re so close?? Five would tap a song on the headset or hum it, and then Sam understands what the fuck they want or what they’re saying. They also have the same music taste so they can communicate with Song titles or Song lyrics . Like they’d be in a mission and the rhythmic taps on the headset come, then Sam just goes “Alright guys, that’s the signal to move along” “How do you know that??” “It’s the opening to the song Move Along by All American Rejects of course I know”

I read a fic where their Five whistles a song everyone knows the lyrics to so I got the idea from there, but my Five has niche favorite bands and maybe some unknown ones ?? My Five is selective mute so they could probably whisper-sing a song around someone they trust a lot (Sam, and eventually Maxine, and then gradually the Runners) but there’d be a time where Sam is the Only One who 100% understands everything because they apparently listened to the same bands . And those they didn’t, either Five tapped the tune or sang it to him . It’s so nice

My Five wasn’t mute before the Apocalypse so they wouldn’t know ASL, but they either use a notebook to write things to say or just portray it via Expression. So They and Sam would also make a cheat sheet together. Five glaring? Means fuck you/no/i disagree. Five giving a thumbs-up is self-explanatory. If Five looks at you once and then looks away and never does again, they are blatantly ignoring you . Sometimes they’d point to things and play some sort of charades .

I was looking through my notes for Good Omens fanfiction, and realized almost every damn story includes Crowley having a baby.

There's the one where Heaven and Hell decide to use an angel baby carried by a demon as a diplomatic tool, leading into Crowley being protected by Michael, and them falling in love.

There's the one where she leaves her baby with Anathema and disappears, which triggers all the following events - from the search, to Aziraphale's trial, and everything else.

There's the one where she has to supply the new Antichrist, which leads to her and Lucifer falling in love, and her being crowned the Queen of Hell. (Well, this one is really two stories set in different timelines, in the second one the "baby" is like 27)

In the one inspired by a dream, she does have a baby eventually, but that's far from the worst thing that happens to her. Gabriel's treatment of her after is... How the Hell will I write this damn thing if I can't even think about it.

There's no baby in the one where she gets tortured with diluted holy water.

I see I have no storyline with male Crowley just yet... Fine, that's not true. I do have some thoughts for Crowley x Fem!Lucifer... It could include a new Antichrist, too. And, Crowley wouldn't be the pregnant one for once. But, dealing with pregnant Lucifer would probably be even scarier.
