On a side note, I am loving Tattoo and Arun’s dynamic, and I believe this is something worth highlighting:
do you all see it?
he’s teaching him to toughen up
By not being over protective or coddling him, he’s telling Arun what he’d always needed to hear from his own father: that he isn’t useless nor helpless, but perfectly capable of handling himself.
Their relationship might be miles away from turning romantic, but they are bonding in all the ways that matter.
They understand and care for each other in a very realistic way: Arun, by being there for Tattoo and supporting him, and Tattoo, by showing Arun how to overcome things by himself.
They’re both getting what they desperately need from the other, even if they don’t realize it yet.

The four reactions to hearing Jack get asked out by Rose: revulsion, acceptance, fear and absolute depression.
And the truth.
And the light of hope.
(Jack being in blue light and Joke fully in red but the ring bring lit in red in this soft blue room is so perfect for them.)
The only one who doesn't know.

I love Arun telling Tattoo how smart and creative he is before breaking down. I love their whole dynamic especially when Tattoo doesn't know what to do when Arun starts crying but figures out how to get him to calm down in the end.

This post is just an ode to Aran knitting and creating with his own hands next to Tattoo and the way they both make but how Aran is learning what that truly means for the first time while Tattoo is struggling with the dichotomy of creating for both pleasure and for money and the direct conflict he feels in that as well as Aran rediscovering creativity beside him and the pleasure in making something with his own hands.
(Poverty forces you to turn pleasure into money at every chance while wealth can allow you to simply steal ideas rather than come up with them yourself and so Tattoo knows the pain of losing his creativity to a need for money while Aran is only just realizing what he never truly had because of his own need for more.)
And that's why it's so powerful when Aran tells Tattoo how creative he is and how talented he is. Because they are both creators in the end and they understand that about each other.

Between Amma's "proud of my grandson in law for making relationship progress" pats, and Arun's little "oh my gosh" hand over his mouth plus "babe are you seeing this flirting!?" elbow nudge, everything about this scene is perfect.
"Wait for me" to celebrate, "Wait for me" to fix this mess and come back to you, "Wait for me to be able to tell you how I feel".
*screaming* (still)
