If Vil can’t resist his kid’s puppy dog eyes, that makes me imagine they’re planning something and they specifically plan around asking Vil because he can’t say no.
Leona and Jamil will make some kind of intervention.
Koffi and Urcon would definitely go to Vil if they reeeeeally want something. That's something we did with my brothers. My little brothers had the biggest wettest puppy eyes so he would go for our mom, and I knew how to sweet talk my dad. (My big bro could do neither though lmao)
Koffi and Urcon would do the same. Vil already has a hard time with Urcon's puppy eyes, but add Koffi's and he's done for. Once they get older though it gets easier for Vil to resist.
And yeah, whenever it suddenly gets too calm, Leona and Jamil know to check up on Vil coz chances are he got had by the kids again haha.

and how that's not too unusual for little kids to do, but for a teenager to do that *multiple times* generally means there's something deeper going on there
and we learned that yeah, amity's definitely got plenty of mom-related issues
now what i'm really curious about is the exact reason
was it the more bittersweet reason that amity was so starving for parental affection that her brain immediately latched on to the teacher as a parental figure the minute they gave her positive attention/praise?
or was it the even sadder possibility, where the teacher was *scolding* her, and she automatically called them "mom" as a fear response?

I fell in love immediately and had to make her into a Parapluesch#Like as soon as I laid eyes on her standing there I was like ''Oh you're from Die Anstalt'' - Instantly started filling in her backstory#Mama Oz's deal is your classic Stages of Grief - in her case from losing a child#Since she's a plush she never had an actual baby but she lost Her Child if you get me - she stopped being played with#And so she projects that grief onto others and adopts them in an attempt to get Her Child back#Except if this new relationship isn't within that framework then she rejects it and goes to the next one#She doesn't really realize that she's inconveniencing them by trying to adopt them and limiting herself from forming lasting connections#Not allowing change or growth - stagnating and trying to reclaim something lost#One of my favourite parts of Die Anstalt is that each of them is shown to have flaws#They still need and are deserving of help! But their uglier symptoms aren't shied away from#Dolly and Lilo use self-harm as a coping mechanism#Sly is shown to seek out the high at times and be short and destructive#Dub takes pride in his overwork#Kroko is surly and prickly#Don't even get me started on Dr. Wood lol#So it's fun to imagine what Mama Oz would be doing to - even by accident! - harm herself or others#The whole point of helping them is for them to become their best most comfortable selves :D#I also think what's especially funny is that I've been Meaning to make a Parapluesch OC for /years/ now#I always planned for it to be a Gender Dysphoria diagnosis since that's in the DSM and I had a design and route planned and everything#No. Kangaroo magazine rack. finished opla and have truly shocked myself.... i think sanji might be my favorite. he is just a little baby. i want to squeeze him so hard.
#Nami is also very high up there. loved her so much. Lesbian QUEEN#of course I loved Luffy how can you not??? and zoro was great and so was usopp#but weirdly something about live action sanji was just really good to me#i didn't go into opla expecting to get a new fav. especially since i really don't like sanji in the anime#he's just not my cup of tea... even more so as the series goes on. i liked him more when he was first introduced#so this was a nice surprise!!#also loved coby and helmeppo and garp and zeff and nojiko and all the others#oh!! and buggy. he was hilarious#AND KUINA MY PERFECT DARLING BABY GIRL SHE WAS SO GOOD AND RIGHT AND EVERYTHING TO ME#SHE DESERVED 10000 MORE HOURS OF SCREEN TIME#but yeah opla was very very fun and everyone should watch it#i enjoyed that they actually killed people and the fights (even though there were silly moves) felt serious and dangerous#and there was some blood (not gore which would have shocked me if there was but it wasn't completely bloodless either which i appreciate)#and there was cursing and flipping people off which was perfect and hilarious#AND THE SHIPS WERE SO GOOD LOOK AT THOSE BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BOATS#anyway i loved it and would watch it 100 more times#one piece
