firmly believe that thirteen pours bits of solomon's candle onto mc's every once in a while bc she doesn't wanna lose them (she'll never admit to it though)

solomon knows about this and he doesn't care, he'd give up his immortality for them any day

mc is completely clueless to this and doesn't realize they're aging slower since they spend so much time in the devildom with the brothers

the brothers don't pick up on it either, they don't come into contact with humans outside of solomon on a regular basis and fail to notice

barbatos knows and won't interfere, he'd hate losing them as well, but he's never mentioned it to diavolo and plans to keep it that way

Thinking about how Diavolo’s feelings transcend time and how in the Nightbringer UR+ card Demon Lord’s Castle Tour this conversation happens.

When asked, “Do you wish to see your father?”

Diavolo responds:

“I suppose I do . . .” isn’t the typical reaction to how a child would feel about wanting to see their parent. Especially when said parent has essentially been in a coma for a year.

Along with how Diavolo describe his father.

It makes more sense why when you learn in Lesson 56 how Diavolo was treated by him growing up.

Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.

Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.

His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.

The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.

Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.

Dropping my current BS Experience on my MC part 1:

Anyway, the card itself was about MC and Barbatos going to the past and Barbatos reflecting on his history, and how ultimately the place he ended up the happiest is the present day Demon Lord's Castle because Diavolo and MC are in his life.

And this didn't happen outright in the card, but can we appreciate that the non-bloomed version of the UR implies the one thing that can make Barbatos cry is how important Diavolo (and now MC) is to him?
