18. What do you like th most about your favourite sport?

I could never decide between football and tennis so I have to answer for both. I love the sports for different reasons.🙈 Mention to ski jumping which was my favourite sport for a long time before but rn I don't enjoy it sm sadly.😕

Tennis the sport that I play myself. I also watch tennis and I like that as well but I enjoy playing it much more. :) So what do I like about playing tennis.

Tennis is a sport where the game is never over, you can always come back from a back match. If you watch tennis you know what I mean, there were those incredible matches where a player lost two sets and then still won the match. Maybe you remember when Dominik Thiem won the US open in 5 sets after being down 0:2 in sets. That was crazy.🤯 In tennis you can come back from anything and because it's an individual sport it's all down to you. (Unless you play doubles) So I'd say the mental aspect of tennis, the mental strenght you need to pull off a comeback like that. :) Tennis really teaches you that never give up attitude. I love that about tennis. 💪 In my competitive matches I also came back from 4:0 down and won the set 4:6 last summer(and also the match). And another time won the match after loosing 2:6 first set. 😄 There's no better feeling than winning those matches >>> That unpredictability also makes tennis a great sport to watch in my opinion. 🙈

Other things I love about playing tennis: the athletics... the speed, the sprinting, quick reactions with the volleys at the net... the feeling when you hit a winner, the feeling of getting to a really short ball after a sprint, tennis doubles with a partner you get along with well or if you play a double with your best friend and the "plop" sound it makes when you hit a ball clean 🥵 (that sounds weird but i think tennis player relate 😂😉)

Football: It's just so entertaining, for me it's the most entertaining sports to watch. What some footballers can do with the ball on their feet, the dribblings, the skill it requires to do that and with them it looks so effortless.🤯 But it requires so much coordination, it impresses me so much. If you have a favourite club it just makes football 10× better because your team winning >> and going to a match live in a stadium: experiencing the atmosphere for the first time is amazing. And you just start to love your team and all the players. One underrated aspect of football is goalkeeping I think. Some goalkeepers really do it so well you think how was that even physically possible to make that save.😂 Diving head first in full speed onto the ball in front of a strikers feed in a 1 vs 1 seems also pretty scary to me. Another major thing is of course the team spirit and togetherness a good football team has. You love to see it, your favourite players not just getting alone one the pitch but also off the pitch and many being friends.🥰 Football tactics are another area which is so interesting

I also play football (at uni, not seriously) what I love most about that is the team spirit. Playing together in a team is just one of the best things about football.🥰 Especially when you score a team goal >> But I'm not a great football player, maybe fairly talented but I play with others who all played in a club for years and I never did.😅 So I'm just happy if I can make a nice pass 😄 or even an assist. Any successful move I can show I'm happy with that. :) Scoring a goal is also a great feeling 🤩 not that I did that often yet. The goals are too tiny. 😂 (we play with hockey goals and goalkeeper🥲)

28. Sports moment that made you cry?

There are a few not just one.😅 Sports make me cry a lot when my favourites are involved.

One was when Gregor got that bronce medal in Lahti 2017, just after his crash in Oberstdorf coming back just about two weeks later. He was all emotional in the interview afterwards and so happy. 🥹❤️ This medal meant so much to him you could tell, after all he went through before he didn't even believe he'd make it to the world championships. And he was crying, so was i. I was so proud and happy for Gregor. <3

Another one was when Borussia Dortmund (my favourite club) one the Dfb Pokal (cup) in 2020. That was such a beautiful moment 😍 and it brought me so much happiness. I also went through a really difficult time back then. And seing your favourite player all happy and celebrating together. 🥰It brought me so much joy when nothing else really did that that time. Also Bvb winning something is not such a regular occasion hahah 😅🥲 so I was so proud of them it was a great accomplishment.😁

When the austria nt got into the play off's at the Euro 2021. They never got that far since I was born and they played so well. I am also a big fan of our Nationalteam and I do love these players a lot so that made me so happy.😍

Unfortunately I then also cried when they went out against italy after a strong performance.💔😅 It felt like daylight robbery with austria's 'leading goal' ruled out by the VAR.🥲 I really believed in that moment they'd win but to be fair it was an offside goal as much as I hate to admit that. It was the right decision but as a fan ofc you don't want this to happen. They fought until the last minute though and now I'm more proud of them than sad :)

Could you elaborate a bit on the idea 👀 (as Louis’ characterization, not as a spoiler!)

Jacob's actually talked about it a few times in interviews (and in classic me form, I can't find where now, haha), but Louis as a character needs friction. He needs conflict, he needs a challenge, he needs passion, and I think it's a really vital part of the texture of him.

Louis' a character who, in his human life, was both oppressed and repressed, and I think that actually sort of dovetails inside of him. On the one hand, I think it's absolutely soaked him in shame about his own identity and leaves him restricting himself in order to find something he feels might be good and true and holy in himself, but on the other hand, I think it's given him a drive and a hunger to not just prove himself, but win. He doesn't just want to survive the circumstances he finds himself in, he wants to thrive in them. We see that over and over again, from The Azaelia, to the way he flaunts his new wealth and family (in that order) in front of his sister after feeling she's rejected him, to the way if he can't be good at photography, he doesn't want to do it at all, to leveraging power through Armand over the Coven.

Louis doesn't so much want to control situations in the way Armand does, Louis wants to be challenged by them and he wants to beat them. It's why when he does win, when he has all the things that he wants, he gets bored. (And also, perhaps, leaves all the guilt and shame to swallow him up) Hell, it's why he invites Daniel over for the interview two times over - the first to bait drama and conflict back into his life by trying to goad Lestat out of hiding, and the second by being the drama and conflict himself by lobbing a journalist-shaped grenade into his own marriage.

Louis' an intelligent, passionate character, and I think that manifests in his ambition, but also his choice of partner. He chooses people who are different from him, I think, because he wants the conflict, which is why Armand moulding his personality around Louis' was never going to work. And if Louis can't find the conflcit in a person, he's going to make the conflict! Which he does! Over and over! He will be the drama he wants to see in the world if he has to be, haha, he just usually relies on Lestat to bring it to him instead.

OKAY I wanted specifically to get to the pokemon au from the ask you sent, it's been cooking a bit so it's time to see what comes out of the oven, so... @azol-otl ty for the ask!

Crossover au's are all about the fused worldbuilding for me and speculating on how characters from universe A would fit into universe B heehee hoohoo - and for Batfam especially it's fun to think about the equivalent of their roles as vigilantes! What kind of people have the same level of celebrity, the same sideways seeking of justice?

Naturally this leads you to the gym leaders because a) it's the most fun and b) they are like. Quasi-law enforcement/educators/professional athletes depending on how you try to translate the innate child's perspective on the pokemon universe into something that makes sense as an adult lol ilu pokemon. [insert 'compels me though' gif here]

SO with this in mind, here's 5 fun facts (that are mostly backstory lmao) from a jaytim pokemon au I would write

I'm deeply ill about pokemon so this one goes under the cut lol:

Jason Todd used to be the Champion. He won the role after Dick Grayson quit a year or two before (Dick had been getting older and chafing under the League rules - meaning he'd been chafing under how Bruce ran the League) and was a fierce competitor who didn't believe in going easy on anyone. His Houndoom was a force to be reckoned with, and despite running a mostly Dark-type team, his Honchkrow cleaned up anyone thinking their Fighting-types could sweep. He looked after the League and Gotham with a cocky, self-assured attitude and the win record to back it up. .

Jason disappeared suddenly at the age of 15. Many assumed him dead, after a Rocket (Or whatever Gotham themed gang name we want to go with lol could be Team Joker) bombing in the area he'd last been seen, but he's officially declared missing. Bruce Wayne took back the duties of interim Champion as he once did for Dick Grayson, but he's not quite the mentor he once was. It's obvious he's grieving, and that he doesn't want to mentor any more twelve year olds. Dick signed up to be a Gym Leader shortly after this, returning from his trip about a year early to help out in the chaos following Jason's disappearance. .

Enter Tim Drake. Tim's gym challenge wasn't all that interesting in the circuit at first; he had a rocky start and had to retake a few gym challenges. He wasn't exactly sweeping on his first try every time like Jason had done. He didn't have the meteoric rise that caught the Champion's attention early, didn't get one-on-one mentorship or face-to-face meetings, cautionary advice and congratulations all rolled into one from Bruce Wayne himself - but Tim had patience and grit, and he paid attention. He was gunning for the Championship, and it wasn't just so he could prove himself. Team Rocket/Joker was still out there, and Bruce needed all the help he could get. He was always better for Gotham when he had a Robin. .

Dick had been nicknamed Robin for his all-Flying-type team and especially his Natu-then-Xatu; Jason followed up with his Murkrow-then-Honchkrow; Tim's Rookidee was one among many (Robin-esque pokemon were popularized by Dick and the trend remains through Tim's day) so he wasn't considered a possible Robin successor until it was a Corvisquire and he was about to face Dick Grayson himself, a badge away from Victory Road. By then, Tim and his team were a well-oiled machine (he runs mostly Steel-types lol but also Normal-types for the unexpected adaptability and the 'underestimate my rattata i dare you it's in the top peRCENTAGE--' of it all. FEAR.), and his loss-record had all but frozen while his win-record ticked higher and higher. .

Shit finally goes down about three years after Tim has become Champion and all but bullied Bruce into mentoring him (he basically said 'if you don't watch me, i'll go find Team Rocket/Joker on my own' and triggers all of Bruce's child endangerment traumas simultaneously) and the mysterious Rocket/Joker leader Red Hood shows up, bringing the gang out of the shadows in pursuit of a hidden agenda. Identity shenanigans and "wait is that a Houndoom? But he's only been using Ghost-types, it CAN'T be..." and heel-face turns abound. .

(BONUS FACT: Something something, Jason went into deep cover with Looker or whoever he is, that Interpol guy from X & Y (WAIT. LOOKER MIGHT ACTUALLY BE TALIA AL GHUL IN THIS AU HOHOHO), infiltrating the Rocket/Joker gang and going public as Red Hood is the first step in the last phase of the sting. Cue a million tense Jaytim interactions in which Tim is legitimately trying to take Red Hood down and Jason desperately tries to shake him so that he doesn't do anything that forces Jason to blow his cover. There is at least one 'tugged into a tight space to hide them both from the actual bad guys, "wait, did you just HELP me...?" "Think whatever you want, babybird"' interaction because I am a slut for the first sprinkles of a redemption arc that is rife with UST fufufu)

okay so ages ago on the Bird Hellsite I saw someone make a coat entirely out of worm on a strings so now we have that incredibly cursed mental image right. My question to you is who in the TTA cast would be most likely to wear that thing and why is it Steve?

Oh, I met someone who did that a few years ago! Might have been the same person tbh.

I think a number of the minor characters would happily wear it, but the one most likely to make it would be Ash from the ghost hunting arc. Steve would wear it too, but Adam could make it work.

I had a grudge for years against worm on a string though... It was 2014. Flying across the country with my art class for the final judging of a competition. New York City, baby. Every day was constant activity; always going to a different event, a different activity, a different project...

And the stage was set: A small budget for the ILNY tourist store, two exhausted teenagers, and a misleading ad. The sound was off, and without captions we were left to assume... And we believed if the worms got wet, they would squirm. It made sense why they were $20 with technology like that.

Me and my best friend bought the worm on a string. We named him... Hal. It was all we talked about that day, the anticipation of getting back to the hotel.

Finally we get to our room. I was more excited about this than about being in the top 5 for a contest with a $50,000 prize. We opened the package, deterred by none of the signs, confirmation bias in full force... What's this string? Oh, it must be so they don't squirm away and get lost!

Fools.

Two fools standing over the bathroom sink, Hal in ones hands, and the other turning on the faucet. Nothing. A gentle shake of the lifeless soggy body. Still nothing.

And then the dawning realization: The worm was never gonna squirm around. We were duped.

How could we let that go... For years, I didn't.

I've since developed a fondness. It was never Hal's fault. We were exhausted, not thinking straight, and we blamed him for our own failure. I can only try to make amends... But I truly believe Hal never held resentment in his fuzzy blue heart.

Anyways we got second place and then the next year we won but that's less important.

while previously adam has stated he knows jesper better than he knows himself and because of that he knows how to talk to him to motivate him, jesp admits that just having adam's presence is motivation enough

compartive skillsets: jesper is the better overall skater (which is true considering the amount of times adam has fallen on his ass because hes blown an edge multiple times each game lmao), and the better puckhandler. adam is the better backwards skater (lol) though jesper does compliment his skating and puckhandling as well but most importantly he highlights his passing abilities and the way he moves on the blueline

in floorball jesper won most of the times but adam says as he got older he mostly won (to which jesper is like lol no i dont know about that i dont think hes won yet down there)

adam quips they put up a mattress on the wall while they played so they could check each other (which also LMAO THEIR POOR PARENTS) and that they always invited the neighbours over to play

favourite memory of the season so far together? adam says the first game. jesp says the first day they were down here together. he also adds every game so far too because they get to walk down the tunnel together

how do you think the roy kids were in college? shiv’s dancing in 3x07, connor not seeing logan for multiple years, kendall the “king” of the lampoon, and roman being sent to military school all give such bizarre setups for their college years

I mean, y’know. Messy, on all fronts, hahaha.

Interestingly, Kendall’s the only one we actually know for a fact went to college at all (and did postgrad at that), but I do suspect all four of them went with varying degrees of success and levels of study. In a lot of ways, I feel like it probably contributed to the divide between them that’s being emphasised this season – the one that positions Kendall and Shiv as the unabused overachievers, and Roman and Connor as the abused and neglected underachievers – it’s a bullshit perception obviously, and one that only really seems to be felt fully by Kendall and Shiv.

After all, Roman and Connor aren’t underachievers, at least no more than the rest of them, and Kendall and Shiv aren’t unabused, but I do think this divide has contributed to the ways that they likely navigated the college experience.

Kendall & Shiv

With the way Kendall and Shiv seem to view each other as intellectual equals (I always find it kind of fascinating that their attacks of each other usually boil down to Kendall’s addiction and mental health and Shiv’s gender and inexperience in business as opposed to attacks on intelligence, which they both level at Roman and Connor), I do feel they probably have similar degrees of education, which makes me think that Shiv did postgrad too. I think she would’ve deliberately not gone to Harvard, since Kendall went there, but I do think she would’ve gone to an on-par Ivy League school, and I do think it’s pretty likely that she did political science given her career trajectory at the start of the show and her academic political knowledge in 3.06.

In a lot of ways, I do think Kendall and Shiv are mirrors of each other, so I do think they probably engaged similarly at school. I think they both probably partied harder than they should’ve, that they coasted on their assumed intelligence as the ‘smart’ siblings until they fucked something up and the shame of that likely had them either working hard or cheating, and I think they both did a lot of extra curriculars to pad their resume. I don’t think either of them would know what to do in a team sport, but we know Kendall worked in distribution for the Lampoon (one of my favourite jokes on this show will always be him equating working operationally for it as meaning he was default funny), and I imagine Shiv would’ve scoffed at that and differentiated herself by working like - - editorial at Yale Daily News or something. Something she thought their dad would respect (which I actually do think he would’ve liked, but I don’t think he would’ve respected, because at the end of the day, he’s never respected any of his children, but especially not Shiv).

I think they both probably had messy college hook ups and experimented more than they’d ever actually admit, and I think they’d both absolutely feel they were the little prince and little princess of their respective campuses. Something to front annoyance at, but secretly relish in the security and familiarity of, and - - yeah. I think college probably felt safe for both of them. Far enough away from their father to feel like they had freedom, while still close enough to feel protected (and leashed), and I think they both probably did well enough to enjoy coming home for their gold stars and their pats on the head, just as I think they both probably spun out when they realised Logan was never going to be the father who gave gold stars or pats on the head (if they just do better though, y’know, maybe - - )

Connor

I’ve looong had the headcanon that Connor went but never graduated.

I kinda feel like he would’ve bounced around a bit? If he was 15 when Kendall was born, and if Logan had snatched him back up at that point (which I do kinda suspect he would have), he was likely in college when Roman and Shiv were born. I can see him potentially trying to stay closer to the family as a result of that, especially if he had already bonded with Kendall who would’ve been, what? Three? When he went to college? So he might’ve started off at a university in England, or been content to be away in the States during the semesters (especially if his mother was still alive), but spent holidays home with the Roy side of the family.

In that sense, I could see him at somewhere like UCLA? Connor would’ve been in college in the early 1980s, and I think he would’ve been into the college lifestyle of chill parties and a bit of activism here and there, depending on who he liked, and following bands around, but I also think he was a traumatised young man who was torn between feeling like an usurped heir to an empire and a boy forcibly separated from both parents desperately trying to establish himself in an expanding family back home. The fact of that alone I think means his perspective was off, and without the family unit the golden trio find in each other and him, he would’ve been an 18, 19, 20-year-old man trying to figure himself out with siblings so young strangers likely mistook them for his children.

I don’t know how likely it actually would be, but I will say that I kind of like the idea that Connor’s the only one of the four of them who’s kind of good at team sport? He canonically horse rides, so maybe he does polo, haha, but I also kind of like this idea that maybe for a hot minute he was good at football? I like the idea that maybe he briefly was good enough at something Logan valued to form a bond over, and that it maybe fell apart as he was never quite good enough, because god, isn’t that just Connor’s life story?

Roman

In terms of college, I actually find Roman the hardest to pin down? I do think he graduated, just because I don’t think he could’ve handled that level of disappointment from his dad if he hadn’t, but I don’t think he did postgrad. I think he probably went to an Ivy still though? Insider and Wall Street Journal tell me that Brown and Dartmouth are usually ranked lowest of the Ivy’s, so I kinda think he probably went to one of those.

I actually think he probably worked harder than Kendall and Shiv did, at least in his first year there, and maybe even performed better in some classes, but that it wasn’t treated as such because the school ‘wasn’t as good’ and because he was already relegated to the fuck up son slot with Connor, so he just thought fuck it and coasted enough to graduate. I think he probably experimented with the idea of experimenting – that he flirted with people across spectrums and got close to having sex with a few of them (maybe even did with one or two), but that the experiences were uncomfortable enough for him that he never really lost himself to them like Kendall and Shiv did.

I think he made fast friendships that didn’t last, and that was probably because he was torn between his dad and school and I imagine he at this point was also starting to really face the realities of having a brother who was an addict (everything about 1.07 makes me think Roman’s experienced a Kendall overdose before, and timeline-wise, I imagine that would’ve been likely around his college days), his dad and Kendall being two factors he’s canonically protective of when it comes to outsiders, so likely impacted his ability to form friendships and relationships with others.

Yeah, he probably had a token girlfriend or two to save face, but I think in many ways, college probably felt like being sent away again for him as a result of military school (or, well, not military school, given St. Andrews had stopped being one and was instead just an outdoorsy boarding school by the time Roman would’ve gone, and the show’s attention to detail feels too specific for that to not be relevant) in a way that it didn’t for Kendall and Shiv. I don’t think he felt like the prince of his campus, I think he probably tried to get through and do well long enough to get home and give his father something that would make him happy. When he experienced the same dismissal Kendall and Shiv did though, I don’t think he spun out, I just think he probably expected it.

I don’t know though! What do you guys think?

look i think the thing people forget is that My Hero Academia is not a typical shounen. Its purposeful. Its well written. Horikoshi does not DO throw away plot-lines. He doesn't ignore plot holes. Over the past 10 years he has proven, time and time and TIME again that this is an incredibly thought out, narrative-driven brilliant story that has taken popular tropes and preconceptions and turned them on their head.

Have a little faith.
