im hopelessly full of joy and pride and love for men and for my own male identity everytime i go online and see myself addressed as such, or every time my sister calls me her brother, or everytime my mom mentions im going to be an uncle, or whenever my brother brings me into doing inherently men related tasks in my household

and nothing will stop me from spreading that joy

manhood and masculinity are experiences that can be, should be, and are full of joy and love and positivity

sorta vent but not rlly bc im not sad about it so it's just me rambling i guess:

Even though I've transitioned for the most part—getting on T, working on my body, presenting and passing as a masc—sometimes I still think about detransitioning and going back to pretending being a girl. I won't be happy, I won't feel comfortable in my skin, but it'll make life easier, my familial relationships won't be as damaged.

But this is my life. It's my struggles and my life, I get to pick what happens, I get to decide how it all plays out. I'm happier and more comfortable living and presenting as a man, and I know that if it came down to it, I'd rather die a young life as a man than live a longer one as a woman.

Gender euphoria that I've gotten since starting testosterone:

Feeling the bass in my voice when I hum.

Even though I haven't consistently worked out lately (I need to get better about that) I've definitely gotten stronger.

I have a happy trail growing in.

My leg hair is so much darker.

My facial hair is starting to come in, and just seeing it and feeling it when I rub my face is so affirming!

I have long hair (mostly because I'm lazy and scared to get it cut because of the dreaded pixie cut) and when I look in the mirror, I'm starting to see a man with long hair.

I'm starting to look more and more like my brother.

fun fact about me! I have hyperadrenergic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (hPOTS). this means I am prone to fainting when I change positions or when I feel a strong surge of emotion, positive or negative. for me, laughing is my worst non-postural trigger.

this is a clip from playing lethal company with friends a few months ago. you can hear the eerie silence of presyncope at 0:19, and the sound at 0:23 is my face hitting the keyboard lmao. I played this for my mother and she literally pissed herself laughing and DEMANDED I show every single person I know (including my doctors, who thought it was funny to see and surprisingly helpful, especially for being audio only).
