Ok, so, I had an epiphany when thinking about how to draw Keiki's face as I have been overthinking it for far too long now. I also made this a few weeks ago, so that's why this will be a double post.

Artist's Note:

When I think back to other drawings of Keiki that I really like, one of the first things that comes to mind is how she looks in that one Akatsuki Records MV. First of all, I fucking love "The Creator," it is a banger of a song and the lyrics are so fucking good and second, I really like the way she's drawn in that MV. I don't know how to describe it, but it's just works y'know? It just captures Keiki's essence so well that it just sparked and idea in me and I realized where I was going wrong when drawing her face.

I think one of the key things was not giving her a deadpan expression and letting her smile for once, she just looks more like herself when she's expressive. My main problem with drawing her up until this point is that I ended up completely overthinking her character and trying to fit too many ideas in at once.

I think I'm finally gonna be able to stick to a more or less consistent way of drawing Keiki. Oh yeah, it was also really fun to colour as well.

Though I said that the last time I thought I figured out a way to draw Keiki's face but let's ignore that! :D

I was debating whether to make this post, but I'm gonna make it because I love Chiaki.

This is Enstars related -

as I mentioned before, I'm not in the Enstars fandom, I'm not following it, only the related seiyuu events.

When they announced the new unit with Chiaki in it I was really happy because he was gonna be with Ryouta in another project. That was basically my main reason for happiness. Tbh I thought it's kinda odd that Chiaki got to be in this unit of young idols, along with a few newish/less known seiyuu (I'm not talking about Yuki, but about the other three). I felt like it was not the right place for him, because he's a very appreciated and high-profiled seiyuu, and it kinda felt out of place imo. So when there were starting to be talks about Ibuki (his chara) going solo, I thought that might suit him better.

In the end he joined the AKATSUKI unit.

Now, as I mentioned, I'm not following it. But I'm following Chiaki. So obviously I saw all the comments on his tag. Long story short: fans are being hateful, upset and rude about Ibuki joining their loved unit.

I can quite understand it. BUT, the seiyuu are not to blame. It's not their fault. It's not their choice. They're just doing their work.

So when they announced a broadcast for today, revealing the New AKATSUKI, I was praying they'd turn off the chat because I just knew there were gonna be some disrespectful comments and I didn't want the seiyuu to see them. Luckily it was pre-recorded. The chat was on but it was not really Live so thankfully the seiyuu were not sitting there, being forced to read hateful comments on the screen.

I'm sure Chiaki is aware of the backlash. I wonder if he regrets taking this role. That was his tweet after the broadcast ended:

At least I feel relieved that Chiaki is together with Ume-chan, because they're very close irl, so I'm sure it's a huge comfort for Chiaki, being alongside him.

P.S their new song is really cool. I'm kinda excited for their next Live, seeing Chiaki singing (and dancing?) on stage.

P.S #2 Don't @ me with rude comments. I don't know the history of this franchise and don't really care about it. I'm only here for the seiyuu, and I want them to be happy.

Fun fact, my Top Songs of 2021 playlist on Spotify has three Old Yuanxian arrangements as my top three (Cuckoo Saver by A-ONE, 邪符「ハオシャオグイ」 by 凋叶棕, and トソリンタンキー by SWING HOLIC specifically). Then there are at least 5 other Old Yuanxian arrangements and one Desire Drive one (Necromantic by Akatsuki Records of course). This doesn't even include all the Old Yuanxian arrangements that aren't on Spotify. I still have a few Old Yuanxian songs in my Top 2022 and 2023 playlists as well. In short, if you couldn't tell, I love Old Yuanxian and it's my favourite Touhou theme of all time.

Any particular Touhou song remixes you're a fan of?

Touhou Arrangements are something i need to explore more of. Ive only stuck to a lot of the songs and circles ive found in 2017. That being said, there are certain songs that I'm just a huge fan of with youtube links for you to listen to.

More Then a Night from by A-One, but you'll probably be more familiar with who made it, Jessa Stebbins or Odyssey Eurobeat. Really nice and calming song despite being eurobeat, always fun to go back to over the years.

Fall In The Dark from ShibayanRecords. A classic for me if I'm being honest; one of the first touhou arrangements I heard when getting into the series and it's always had a relaxing feel to it that I kept coming back to. Love this song.

in the wind from Reset All Controllers. Absolutely beautiful strings song. Its quite a slow song; very calming and nice to listen to. And it slowly speeding up gives it a bit of emotional catharsis from it. Nice song to cry to time to time.

Old Tales of Old Heroes from Karasu. Really cool song, mixing in elements of rock and traditional Japanese music that bring in a fun listening experience. Makes it even neater that the composer is from Poland. One of the first arrangements I've heard too, never really forgot it.

Smiling Girl of History from DDBY. Cafe of Touhou song, if you've heard of that. This one really stood out to me. While fitting into the slow chill music of Cafe de Touhou, its so full of energy, so radiant, so joyous. I feel like I can dance in the night with this music, its just irradiates the feeling of restrained joy in a way, just love it.

KILLOVE FIREPROOF! from Akatsuki Records. Honestly had to restrain myself from including a lot of their music, a lot of them vibe with me just really well. This song is probably what really pushed me into liking Mokou as well as terumoko as a whole when I was just getting into Touhou. Always fun to listen to just from its unique composition to me.

鈴蘭 ~Proof that Love Was Never Real~ from Takamachi Walk. Really nice band. They do a lot of Metal music singing about bad relationships, its nice if you ever in a depressive mood but still fun metal to listen regardless. Its also pretty hard for me to pick a definitive song to put on here from them, since so many of their song's mood get me, but this one with the duo singing I think really encapsulates the best of their songs.

Hello, my friend from Diao ye zong. Recent song I found, got it here on tumblr. Absolutely love this song, it is just so emotionally charged to me. I can feel the weight behind everything in the song through the singing and the music which just feels incredible to me. It has genuinely made me cry a couple of times, thats how well it resonates with me.

There might be a theme or two from the music I've listed here. There are many touhou arrangements out there that I love, even this list is merely showcasing a good few that I think off and not really the best of the best from my experience. i go by they/she pronouns and i usually like to wear cutesy clothing with slight macabre themes (pills, syringes, bandages all that. look up yami kawaii for more stuffs) these can vary between pastel and somewhat gothic/scene. i am also 159 cm, if that accounts to anything.

my favorites are relatively spread out, i don't consume much television or movies so it's pretty much games and music for me. i like rhythm games such as project sekai, bandori, and idolmaster and i like games that fall into the rpg genre like pokemon, omori, earthbound, yume nikki, etc. with this, i do quite enjoy visual novels too. as far as music goes, i like a lot of punk rock but sometimes i'll consume other genres (fav english song is love me dead by ludo and atm my fav jp song is shoujo rei by mikitop)

as far as musical artists go, it can vary quite a lot. my most notable ones are probably pepoyo, shinra-bansho, akatsuki records, mcr, and green day.

Most of the songs I like are either soft or in a middle ground, rarely energetic. The themes are usually dark or romantic.
