Okay so what if Hera succeeded in burning away Leo's mortality when he was a baby?? What if now, the reason he survived so long on the streets from such a young age, how multiple gods have had intense reactions to him, how he can go so long under such intense stress and no sleep and yet still manage to keep the ship running, why Gaia had always seen him as her biggest threat,,, was all because Leo was essentially immortal??

Now he wasnt a God, not yet at least. When it gets revealed by Hera after he returns from saving Calypso, she tells him, he could gain godly status if he chose a domain. The other gods couldnt challenge his claim, he was already an immortal demigod who had literally saved the world from destruction, and had the favour of multiple gods plus two camps of demigods.

All he had to do was claim his divinity and it was his.

Now.. Leo had known he couldnt die since he was a kid. Not long after the death of his mother, he had lived through things that should have killed him more times he could count, and it only fuelled his aunts hatred of him and the wishing he had died with his mom even more.

He could go weeks without eating, sleeping while he was on the streets, been beaten over and over again, in ways he knows no other kid would have been able to survive, and even attempted his own life on numerous occasions, each in a different way from the last, just trying so badly for it to end.

But instead he was seen as a "miracle" or more realistically an "exception" a "fluke" an "oddity" a "freek of human nature"

Leo still felt all the pain though, that last thin thread tying him to the fragile mortal body he was born with that still pumped with red blood. No one questioned why it shimmered with flecks of gold when he bled, no one ever looked at him long enough to care.

Being a demigod was enough to help Leo start to understand this part of himself, but just like his fire this was something else to set him apart from the others.

After his return from Ogygia, Heras announcement was only confirmed more by how Leo's blood now ran fully gold, the aura around himself stronger now, still not a God sure, but definitely no mortal demigod either.

Although his attempts too die once again, battling Gaia, (the physicians cure safely tucked away in Hazels coat pocket instead of on Festus with him) He instead finished burning away his mortal flesh, leaving everything else behind.

Unlike Percy did all those years ago, Leo never had a choice.

The Campers all saw him different now, no longer like them, the Gods now actually held him in some form of respect, even Zeus didnt make much of an argument about it.

He was expected to become a God..

Some of the campers even started giving him offerings for saving the camp. There was talks about building him a shrine, what domain would he now be the symbol of? would festus be his sacred companion?? Could they worship there friend who wasnt even dead but was he even living???

Leo never wanted to be immortal, just for once he wished to be like everyone else...

how old do you think revali and mipha were in botw?

i keep seeing fans trying to find proof that they were teenagers and most of it is chocked up due to them being on the shorter side compared to older characters in their respective races, i mostly see it w/ revali and older rito tho coupled w/ the markings under his eyes, and idk it doesn't feel like they were that young to me, they're definitely not around the ages of urbosa and daruk but they don't feel like actual teens either? i got vibe that they both entered/were around their early 20's, or the zora equivalent to early 20's in mipha's case, and them not being similar height to older rito and zora doesn't really have to do w/ their ages (i say this as a 5'0 person in their 20's lol)

this lowkey a call out post for me HAHAHA because one of the first posts i made when i started being more active on tumblr again in 2023 was Literally about how i think about revali possibly still being considered a child or youth among the rito because he never outgrew his cheek feathers, IF we consider that as a marker of childhood. so i'm a little biased here and i do like to hc as revali being closer in age to link n zelda. perhaps not 17, but maybe 19, just on the precipice of hitting his 20s but never getting the chance because he gets Windblighted </3

as for mipha, i do think in relative to hylian/human age that she seems more like she's in her 20s, perhaps early-mid 20s from the way she carries herself. but that can also be a result of the Eldest Daughter Curse which i am also a victim of so perhaps her disposition doesn't contribute to her possible age either.

I was suddenly intensely compelled to draw Simon as a Pokémon trainer so this exists now d(•w• ).

I initially was going to make him a Dark type trainer since Dark is super effective against Ghost and most of what he hunts would fall under that I guess, also a lot of his designs have some similar color schemes as other Dark type things, BUT I realized that, surprisingly, Ghost actually fits wayyyyyy better. Ghost is also super effective against Ghost (I have always found this funny lol) and has both more Pokémon that make sense character wise as well as moves like “Curse”. Mimikyu’s whole thing is that it looks up to and wants to be just as adored as Pikachu and idk I think Simon would kinda vibe with that a lot. Also the whole Litwick line and like ya know Castlevania games and their candles, the chandeliers, it just fits. Simon’s Quest also has the Mysterious Woman who appears with the mist in a graveyard and may or may not be a ghost who helps Simon so that tracks too. He also just seems like he’d spend a lot of time hangin around in a cemetery idk how to explain that.

His design is mostly just an altered Simon’s Quest outfit, but I added elements of his other designs to it like bits of red in his hair, the cape from the manual drawings (and the smash bros teaser I guess lol), the fur and boots from Ayami’s design, a ripped skirt thing like the smash bros design (I’m sure other designs have had something similar too I just can’t think about which rn), the armband thingys and the headband from his NES cover and X68000 designs, etc etc. I imagine that he’d probably have the cape down most of the time and come off as a more brown focused design (I didn’t color them all the way cause I didn’t wanna get all my colored pencils out oof) and say things that kinda mislead the player into thinking he’s maybe a Fighting type trainer or something. Then when actually battling him he pushes the cape back and oh wow big reveal!

Yeah idk, this was fun tho. Maybe I’ll draw some other Belmonts as trainers too eventually, I have some ideas already hmmm. Also it is so so hard to remember what I have and have not posted here, especially since I know I’ve posted this elsewhere so I keep feeling like I’ve already written all of this before ｡(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡. So if I’ve already posted something please tell me, my memory sucks most of the time and I’d greatly appreciate that!

I don’t think I’m gonna end up including it, but there is a version of Mt. Gilboa University where Sha’ul tries to kiss/fuck Daveed and then hits him because he’s rejected. This is def partly inspired by Beloved King (plus other interpretations where Saul sexually desires David) but I also think it would be especially good in MGU because it would create a parallel between that and Sha’ul having sex with Rizpah when she was a student. Like, this guy has a certain taste, and it’s not a good one!

It would also be foreshadowed by Yonatan overhearing Daveed about to say that Sha’ul only pays attention to the students when he’s trying to fuck them (I actually don’t know if anyone understood this is what Daveed was about to say LOL but that was the intention). I mean ofc that’s a reference to Rizpah first and foremost, but it could also be foreshadowing.

By now tho, if I did include this point then it would have to be canon that Daveed hid Sha’ul’s advances from Yonatan even when he was telling him that Sha’ul was the one who hurt him… and I don’t know if that makes sense. Honestly I think Yonatan’s revelation from Rizpah (and his accusation of her conspiring with Daveed) could be even more poignant if Daveed had told him that Sha’ul came on to him, but I’m definitely not going to go back and edit that now LOL
