to me, this is myself, but it is also my beloved (former) dnd character Meep. They were genuinely the most whimsical lil bird bastard i have ever had the joy and honour of playing, awakened pigeon wild magic sorcerer that descended from the Legendary Pigeon God of the Feywilds, caused chaos everywhere they went and once nearly derailed the entire campaign because they refused to change their alignment to lawful. Also did i mention they could break mach (statistically their base movement speed was 120ft or so and they also had the haste spell turning it to 200+ft every damn encounter NOT COUNTING DASHING AND ASHARDALON'S STRIDE. We flavoured it to breaking mach because no one else had such high movement speed so i got a lil shockwave attack :3 )

Aw thank you!!! This is interesting ok hmmm the proudest piece is hard to pick because a lot of the other ones in this post I'm proud of but I guess this one. I had a lot of fun designing him and making him a silly little angry fish. I want to draw him more.

A piece I spent the most time and effort, apart from an animation, I'd say this one. It took a while to draw the flowers and pick out the correct colors since I was going for a particular art look. the fact that I drew this from an ask lmao, I got mega inspired by the suggestion.

Ha, what piece did I spend the least amount of time? oh boy I do a lot of low quality doodles and fast art but a more finished piece that was fast would be Fornite Eclipse because I literally speedran that and my friends kept me on a timer lmao although I did go back to shade a little. But an actual fast doodle is something in like under a min like this sun or something drawn in gartic phone which has a timer.

So, I just finished the main story of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!

First off, I want to talk about the cons of the game before jumping into the pros, but to be honest with ya, the cons are few and far in between and were more about personal preference then the performance of the game itself.

For starters:

1. The Glitches - Like literally, during a few quests, there will be some dialogue, but it'll randomly cut out with the excuse that enemies are near by, when that is absolutely not the case. It was only so bad that I had to exit to the main menu and then get back on in order for it to fix, so this was minor in comparison to other glitches like falling through the map randomly (which happened to me once during my play through of Far Cry 4 :p)

2. The Language - This is just a little peeve of mine, but I wish that the Na'vi, at least when talking amongst themselves and to us, spoke in Na'vi. Like, if Ubisoft could record a whole 'nother language for Far Cry Primal, they could have done it here. And I also wish that the animals, especially the Palulukan, were referred to by it's Na'vi names rather then human names.

3. The Main Character's Name - This is minor really, but I don't like how we are not given a name. Like, I get that it's fun coming up with names for our original character, but it's a bit isolating to only be referred to as 'the Sarentu'.

Not only does it make it seem like our identity as a member of a respected clan matters more then our identity as our own complex individual, but it feels weird when you read notes and listen to audio logs about the other Sarentu kids and not one thing about us, especially when Alma talks about how they're acclimation to life in the Resistance. Like how we're developing doesn't matter at all in comparison to how Ri'nela is coming into the role of leader and Tsahìk.

Not even a mention of our relation to Aha'ri when she writes about her murder and how it could be affecting us.

Like, just a gender-neutral name to tie things in, like Dani in Far Cry 6, would go a long way to make our character feel like a part of the story and not just a nameless side character doing all the hard work, like the Rookie from Far Cry 5.

4. The Villain - This is more of a 'meh' thing for me. Like yeah, Mercer was an asshole, but again, pulling from Far Cry here, who had amazing, complex villains like Vaas Montenegro or Pagan Min, and what we get is... a entitled, racist narcissist whose barely there, and therefore we get zero from this guy. He was more annoying then anything, like literally every time he talk, my eyes rolled into the back of my skull.

Like, could you imagine if AFOP made Mercer like Pagan Min, the tyrant king of Kyrat who had a relationship with Ajay Ghale's mother to the point where he was sympathetic to the loss of his mother. Pagan Min would just randomly call Ajay on his radio like an eccentric father-figure, and in two endings of the game, he'll actually help you out, taking you to Lakshamana so that you can place your mother's ashes beside her, just like she wanted, which is very generous considering that in one of those endings, it's after you lead a massive rebellion right to his door-step, taking out his generals and so-on! (Pagan is my favourite Far Cry villain is you haven't figured that, Vaas is a close second)

If you gave Mercer that kind of depth, then maybe you can actually understand why Teylan would believe Mercer wouldn't hurt anybody when he gave the location of the Resistance Base away.

Harding as well was mediocre. Just a hard-as-nails general that's running a pouching operation on the side. Like, if you made her even a fraction of insane like you did Vaas, I could actually be into it.

So anyway, on to the pros!

1. The Gameplay - I know people moaned about the mechanics being too similar to Far Cry, but honestly, that was what drew me to it when I first saw the trailer for it! Far Cry is my favourite first-person shooter franchise (Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal being my favourites). The crafting of weapons, the hunting for food, skins and ingredients and the little things what made it unique was amazing to me,

The hunting was a pain, because half the time (for me anyway) I could almost never get a clean kill for the smaller or quick-moving animals, but I think it was done super well. When you hit an animal in the old Far Cry games, they either just drop dead or run away and bleed out quietly. But here, when it's an unclean kill, the animal squirms and writhes in pain before succumbing to it's wounds, really driving in the whole point of the Na'vi way of life (that's how I saw it anyway).

And the Memory Paintings, though tedious at most times, was another fun and unique mechanic to the game and felt very Na'vi to me and I enjoyed concentrating on them all and hearing the MC's interpretations of the Memory Paintings and the Sarentu Totems.

And the moments when you're flying on your Ikran or Pa'li made me feel like I was in an RPG, like Horizon, so that was a nice little touch. It was like they mashed two of my favorite games into one.

And in the end, it's not the gameplay that makes me play the game. It's the story.

2. The Harmful Effects of the RDA - There was not a minute within this story where it's quests and stories didn't resonate with me.

How the Kinglor of the Aranahe forest was displaced by the RDA's actions, giving us a Yellowstone situation where a key member of the ecosystem was being pushed out and it was causing all sorts of problems for the local flora and fauna.

The aforementioned poaching in Zeswa territory, where the Zakru were being hunted and killed for their tusks and how even their long deceased skeletons were being pilfered, very similar to elephant and rhino poaching, especially as Zakru are sacred animals to the Zeswa.

And then the Yavä, the green fog that brought sickness to the Kame'tire, something that happened, by the way, because the RDA disposed of the Sarentu's bodies by using caustic chemicals!!! (like, what the FUCK, Alma!) but anyway, is very reminiscent to the diseases that European settlers brought in to the native populace, who never had to build up immune systems for it and suffered because of it.

What I'm getting at here, is how big of a problem the RDA is, not just for going to war with Jake and the Omaticaya, but also by causing the exact same problems that people did on Earth and are still doing to Earth. In so many, seemingly innocuous way, the RDA are negatively effecting the ecosystem, the wildlife and the locals in their pursuit of a paycheck that, realistically, would never be able to use until they get off planet, and that is if they don't die on an alien moon because of all those problems.

3. The Efforts of the Resistance

Every time I got to talk with the Resistance members was a highlight for me. I truly do not understand how some people don't like Priya. I found her adorable, and she gave me Penelope Garcia vibes from Criminal Minds. And her budding romance with Resistance Pilot Anqa, whose history with incursion on her desert homeland inspired her to take action against the RDA.

Or Hajir's regrets for playing part in the Severeds origins, concluding how they are in a constant state of anger and sadness.

Or Billy, who break-dances as he's helping you escape imprisonment, before sacrificing himself to save what's left of the Resistance.

And then there's the Na'vi Clans that I just loved and each and every one of it's characters had me giddy. The playful old grandmother in Nefika and her immediate action to take us in and show us around the Hometree, the Zeswa sisters and their rightous anger over the poaching, the eccentricities of Okul and their faith in the Kame'tire's tradtions.

Honestly I could go on and on about every single character in this game. Nalin and her tentative offer to fill in the void of mother during the party, the Burden Carrier and the Milk Crafter who got drunk off their ass, saying the zakru can fly while we're trying to warn them of impending danger and Mosaka, who not only gave our clan's location away to the RDA, but used their deaths to manipulate his way into power and control over the clan by framing Anufi for their demise. (BTW, fuck you Mosaka)

That's all I got for now, but once the DLCs come in, I am defiantly playing through the whole game again and I may come back to this post with an update when that happens, along with my stance on said DLCs.

Brainstorming random general Junkrat headcanons that i consider as an official canon at this point

- mother issues, and not in the kinky way but like really bad espresso depresso mother issues. He's like a newborn duck who thinks that anything that comes near to him is his mother (also based of his voice lines i think he was an only child and probably lived only with his mom)

- he doesn't care about what he's wearing, dress, pants, skirts, like he's able to walk around in anything that isn't tight or scratchy

- he sees Roadhog as his father figure/older brother and they just kinda adopted each other without the paperwork (ALSO pls don't take this like I'm trying to shittalk on ppl who ship them, this is just my personal view on their relationship so pls don't yell at me or I'm gonna cry ;-;)

- you can't tell me that my boy doesn't have adhd and ptsd, like C'mon

- he's on aro/ace spectrum, he spend his entire life in wasteland so he's rather looking for family and friends than partner, at least not just a quick flirting etc.

- but I can also see him that something like a personal space doesn't exist for him (he's extremely hungry for any physical touch like someone hug him already holy hell) i feel like he doesn't really understand social interactions (kinnie moment) . Idk how to describe it but like imagine he would randomly walk to you and gave you flowers or smth, just trying to be friendly not realizing smn could interpret it differently

- but also he has no idea what flirting is, like u could hit on him for months and he would be for the entire time like :) 🧍‍♀️"love ya too mate" while patting your head

- he actually can draw pretty well, like the concepts he drew for his bombs etc? He has such a clean lineart holy shit

- hardcore/trash punk and kpop/classic 2000s pop, nothing else.

- literally the biggest fan boy (a little meow meow u can say), Lucio? listens to his music non-stop, Hammond? has his stuffed animals and signed peg leg, Junker Queen? gosh, if he doesn't have at least one lunch box with her, I'm throwing hands than

- the pokémon sodas edition, he would love them, cherishem them, worship them, like if he loves pachimari u can't tell me he wouldn't love strawberry yagult pink soda with Mew on the can

- he's losing his hearing so he uses hearing aids (that he made himself ofc), also him and roadhog know sign language and using it pretty oftenly, during missions, when Junkrat's having a panic attack etc.

- so like ppl say he's egoistic but i think there's a huge difference between his ego and Junker Queens ego, she's very confident and sure about her role/look/skill etc. While Junkrat is more self-ironic and tries to hide that he is actually pretty insecure about pretty much everything

- can speak fluently many languages which always throws everyone off , like he just randomly starts speaking Chinese fluently in a middle of meeting or something, and everyone arevlooking at him like 🧍‍♀️

- shitty phantom pains, he may know how to build his prosthetics from a literal garbage but has no idea when it comes to take care of himself so he just curles up into a ball and sobbs

- he and Roadhog give each other manicures at least once a month, that's the only thing he can actually take care of

- unhealthy addiction to coffee and sweets (someone should take away the coffee machine he has in the workshop) (his teeth are rotten at this point)

- his sleep is more broken than the queuing system (haha funny), usually sleeping like 3 hours per day, that's why the coffee addiction

- if u would show him any kind of love he would start stuttering while trying to come up with smth funny, blushing, sweating and sit on the ground and think about life for the next 30 mins cuz of how much he's not used to being praised

- also my man is a huge emotional wreck, he's getting new emotion every 5 seconds

- honestly i can't decide if the only thing he ever read was a recipe on frozen dumplings or if he's the biggest nerd u can imagine who's walking around with Franz Kafka or Sigmund Freud while sipping his boba tea

- he's missing an eye - I read the theory that he doesn't have an eye and that his fake eye is actually the real treasure with a code or smth, and omg, im obsessed, yes, my boy is like a cool mad max pirate, absolutely canon, at least it would connect him to some actual lore in the story, he's just wobbling around for last 6 years just give him something already;-;

- he likes comics, i just think he likes to inconspicuously steal a new issue of Batman whenever they're pulling a heist

- you know those French toasts that are basically just normal bread soaked in condensed milk? that's his ass

last year i was part of this fundraising event in Current Interests Fandom and i pledged a few drawings for ppl who donated and rq'd me specifically and i drew those and some dickhead was like "lol you actually paid for that shit?" and i fuckin hate how that got to me cuz first of all youre shitting on someone who donated to a fundraiser. already you take the L lmao but then. thats like genuinely been a complex ive had for a while about drawing a bunch of dumb doodles for this community but i cant create something beautifully rendered, and then i ask people to PAY for my shitass art? and i say all this fully knowing that i promised 5-minute doodles and worked on those drawings for 15 mins up to an hour. i worked for an hour to produce something that would take someone with more skill and a properly functioning arm ten minutes tops. and it feels so shitty because i KNOW i can do better i have seen myself do better except i literally fucking cant unless i just want to never have feeling in my arm again

Min is an oc I haven't introduced yet xD She's my TMNT 2012 oc BUT I HAD TO DRAW HER FOR THIS, HER MAIN COLOUR IS LITERALLY PINK-

Selena's outfit is based on that one pink carpet outfit that Margot Robbie actually wore with the hat and the blazer, it was the perfect inspiration!

Mariposaaa, Mariii, her choker and guitar pick necklace are gifts from Hobie AS WELL AS the patchwork skirt, also made by Hobie cause you can't tell me the man doesn't dabble in pathwork, the amount of patterns you can shove into a patchwork piece is so chaotically inconsistent it screams Hobie craft.

Illy our precious nymph, her look is inspired by a dress from Linh Phung's 'Sunny Hill' Resort 2023 Collection, I had it be shorter and changed the patterns on the skirt to look a bit more forest-y but the actual dress itself is so so pretty, I could never like draw it and the patterns on it and do it justice. Also her shoes are from Barbie: A Fairy Secret with some tweaks to the colours-

Lizzie! AAhhhh I wanted to do something almost vintage looking so so daisy pattern dress, pearls, frilly gloves and short heels. This is the first time I drew Lizzie with the sparkle eyes too aaaahhh I miss and love her-

MIN THE PINK BAB, pink Barbie crop hoodie with the tanktop underneath, a necklace of the Yin symbol, I had to give her a plaid pink skirt. She has this casual almost punk like bad girl look I really wanted to try and put her in without it being too much since she's the youngest of the babs at 16- Sparkly pink sneakers and the mismatched fishnet gloves :3

I'm rambling, I really loved working on this...even if i stared at a lot of pinks-

Solo Leveling Episode 10 Thoughts

This episode was wonderful! Spoilery thoughts for the anime, novel, and manhwa below:

The scene with Lee Joohee is really well handled, and so sad, especially with the extra anime info about how terrible her mother is... I feel really bad for her in a whole new way. She goes back to them in the manhwa as well (and I think in the novel, it's been a while), but since we didn't know about her family, it wasn't as bad, and felt like a needed break. This way... goodness, this is all kinds of sad.

I still think Joohee was massively underused as a character. I'm not sure if Chugong just decided she wasn't going to be the endgame love interest or what and just moved her out because of that, but the way her whole arc is handled is quite strange, other than maybe like... showing how damaging the dungeon system is in regard to PTSD. Which is a valuable story to tell, it'd be weird if no one else was broken this way (though Min Byunggu and clearly Choi Jongin have this, and Jinwoo and Sung Jinah deal with it to some extent), but Joohee just... she's not handled well at all. The story has things to say about ableism and how mental health is treated in our society. It's just kind of confusing at times.

Han Songyi, you are a child lol I love her still, but she is a child. Acting very much like a high schooler, though, thinking she can take on anything and adults always underestimate her.

I still really love this idea that they do this in a way to help out people who can't raid on their own/would have a hard time joining raids, especially the injured guy. Makes me think of poor Han Yoojin in S-Classes That I Raised, pre-regression...

The White Tiger recruitment team arrives lol I was wondering if they'd get cut for some reason, given Woo Jinchul is taking up even more time in the anime than he did in the manhwa, and he absorbed a lot of their presence in the manhwa. But nope! Welcome, anime versions of Ahn Sangmin and Hyun Kichul!

Sangmin's model looks really nice in the anime. I love how they drew his sideburns and bangs.

Ah yes, we also get an incredibly unnecessary random female passerby ass shot like her skirt has been absorbed by her butt. Lest we forget this adaptation is an action-adventure series probably targeted at the shounen market made in Japan. As I recall, in the webnovel, Kichul does get busy chatting up women at some point (I thought it happened during this scene, but I can't find it looking back, so maybe my memory is just messy with how bad the novel overall is with women a lot of the time).

Sangmin just opening his mouth to a strange hunter aldkjaldja This whole continuing aspect of the story is still so ridiculous alkdjlaj I don't recall it being explained in the manhwa, but in the novel, Jinwoo discovers that he can't give potions he buys to other people to use. They literally disappear. But other people can take them. They just can't hold the bottles. So he has to feed it to them himself, and they can't see the bottles when he doesn't lol He also doesn't want people to see him pulling stuff out of his inventory cause inventory isn't a thing other Hunters have here.

I still love Jinwoo getting one over the stalkers, ahem, scouts. He's so creative, love him. Make the scouts second-guess crossing you :3

P:WotR Crusade Mode: Why Mage Generals are OP (Math Edition)

If you played Crusade Mode, you probably know the conventional wisdom of ‘mage generals are OP’, but have you wondered why? I was doing some digging into it, and I thought I would share it.

This is going to involve some math, so I've put most of it under the cut. For a TLDR, it essentially comes down to exponential growth in the power of Mage Generals while the units they target or command are not growing to match. By the mid-game, a Mage General turns most battles into more literal case of 'you point, you click, they die'.

To get into the math, let’s start with Scorching Ray, the basic artillery spell at 4 Energy per Cast, once per turn. Mage Generals usually start with 40 Energy, and gain more as they level up.

Scorching Ray inflicts damage based on power (P) and a die - in this case, it is (PxP+5)d6 - following PEMDAS this means that we multiply the two power values, add five, and then we roll that many d6 dies to get our damage. Keep in mind that by law of averages, we will usually be about half of the maximum potential damage, but to keep it simple I’m going to focus on the min-max conditions.

With one power, it would merely be a 6d6 attack (6-36 damage). With five points, it becomes a 30d6 (30-180) damage. Most mage generals start out at about ten power, so it would be about 105d6 damage (105-630 per cast). By level twenty, and including potential modifiers, generals likely have between sixty and eighty power. Using eighty as a maximum, this means that the damage becomes 6,405d6 for a potential maximum of 38,400 damage. Scorching Ray’s cost does not increase with this growing power either, so as you gain more Energy for your generals its relative cost decreases as power grows.

To put how much damage is going out into perspective, let me present examples of how many units it can take out in a single cast. This will be measured in terms of units killed (based on HP), Experience/Value killed, and what percentage of Base Recruits per Week* this amounts to. This will include an assessment at minimum power (ten) and maximum power (eighty).

*Base Recruits per Week is estimated on the crusade getting approximately 200 XP worth of each unit each week, divided by the XP value of the unit for how many are available to recruit.

Conscripts: 75 HP, 4 XP, about 50 per Week

At ten power, a single Scorching Ray kills 1.4 to 8.4 Conscripts, valued at 5.6 to 33.6 XP, or about 2.8% to 16.8% of a weekly recruitment.

At eighty power, a single Scorching Ray kills 85.4 to 512 Conscripts, valued at 341.6 to 2,048 XP, or about 170.8% to 1024% of weekly recruitment (or about 1.7 to 10 weeks of recruitment)

Champions: 23 HP, 13 XP, about 15 per Week

At ten power, a single Scorching Ray kills ~4.565 to ~27.39 Champions, valued at 59.3 to 356 XP, or 30.4% to 182.6% of a weekly recruitment.

At eighty power, a single Scorching Ray kills 278.48 to 1669.5 Champions, valued at 3620 to 21,704 XP, or 1,856% to 11,130% of weekly recruitment (or in other words, 18.5 and 111 weeks!)

I should note for the sake of clarity that Conscripts are a beefy unit for their value while Champions are excessively fragile for their value - many of the troops available to the player suffer from such inconsistencies, but I thought that a comparison between a 'baseline' unit and an 'elite' unit would be a good contrast.

The conclusion that I drew from that math above is that high value units, especially those that are glass cannons, are just too easily destroyed by Mage Generals. When Greybor is talking about how a smart enemy would try to eliminate Regill's Marksmen, this is exactly what he was talking about. This trend of valuable units having less relative HP also means that Mage Generals can take their high damage potential even further by eliminating a greater value of units in a single strike.

And this is before we factor in spells like Fireball, which is Scorching Ray in a 3x3 area for only 12 Energy, each target taking the full damage. You only need to hit three targets to make this Scorching Ray cast three times at once, and even hitting two is a ton of value because the second unit you are hitting is also going to be able to deal less damage.

Which brings me to the second part of why Mage Generals are OP, which is not so much related to the generals themselves so much as the targets they are taking out. Larger demons may have some beefy amounts of HP, but they are often valued higher than their HP, meaning that Scorching Ray deals disproportionate damage. Mariliths for example have 889 HP but are valued at 1125 XP. They can and would shred most of your troops if you actually engaged them thanks to their sheer number of attacks and specials like Magnificent Fencing (chance to retaliate against melee attacks) or Demonstration of Strength, but a Mage General with at least 30 Power* can delete a single marilith guaranteed, and potentially delete six of them in a single cast. This applies to most other Grand Tier units like balors, dragons, and so on.

Warrior and Ranger generals are left in the dust simply because they are unable to compete with that. To use Warrior Generals as an example: they do get a larger infirmary, but it is not that much larger than a Mage General's at only 150 XP of Infirmary Space at spawn rather than 100 XP worth. And while they can buff units such as +1 to all units of a type via Dispersal of Forces or Attack Formation to increase damage at cost of movement, these buffs are nowhere near as valuable as deleting a single enemy stack at once... and worse, Warrior Generals do not get extra regiment size in their armies meaning that Mage Generals can bring just as many troops as them. Assuming you had the extra troops to give to the Warrior General, anyways, given how limited recruitment is.

So now that we understand why Mage Generals are OP… what’s the fix? Unfortunately, there is no easy one available - if we just remove the squaring, we take Mage Generals from completely OP to near-useless as now a general with eighty power can only deal 510 damage tops if they roll all sixes… and at ten power they would only deal 15-90 damage, barely two and a half Cultists at maximum damage. And that would just make Crusade Mode even more unfun, especially while our growth is so anemic and we get so many 'freebies' in regiment sizes too small to be worth the slot.

Of course, fixing the troops in Crusade Mode or the growth of troops is another matter entirely...

(this is also going to be a behind the scenes of myself I fear, and also I wanna plug myself a bit ok) This is also going to be my experience and literally beauty of streaming is you dont have to follow any of this

Def agree with just steal what you like. Connoreatspants, Sneegsnag and others are big inspirations for my content, editing, and look on stream fun fact.

I started on a separate account than I use now as like a tester with my sister and just got used to the program before making my entire addaxbones character and doing branding stuff off of that. Personally I like my own cohesive branding, helpful for viewers to have a solid image in their brain of you within like a minute of seeing you. I also just threw together stuff I liked, purple, antelopes, skulls, ect. I took about a month before going live making and drawing up branding and paying some artists for some images i could use as profile photo, ending screen, chatting screen. (I really like streaming and see it as just a hobby to put some extra cash into)

OBS is great, i also love streamelements for alerts, chat overlay and chat commands that add some interaction. Triggerfyre is how I do all my channel point videos (you can also add commands if you dont have channel points) fossabot and nightbot are also pretty common for chat control stuff. I would also personally recommend getting bttv and ffz for your chat and picking out some free commonly used twitch emotes, these are what originally drew me to twitch as the site has a great sense of community and like a weird almost language you don't see around much. I also just love emotes.

Fun twitch things to consider, turn on your vod saving!!!! Many people lose their first streams to this as its auto off (if you are me remotely record every second you are live and put into a folder to upload to a vod channel 1 year later so nothing is lost) You can also go in and perminently save vods as twitch will get rid of them, watch out! Also Im putting this here USE MORE CLIPS. I just want everyone on twitch to use clips more but if you have a moment on stream you liked, clip it, use that clip to post to other places, idk watch it 72 times

In terms of actually streaming, just play games however you want, if you want to make a whole show go for it, or just chill and play a game with people. Just make sure you are having fun, Dont look at numbers as well, they are really fun to look at stat wise but sometimes you dont need that viewer reminder

Something I know I struggle with, you can just kick people from your chat if you dont like the vibe, its your space. Or, get some cool mods like zircon

Also schedules really help, in whatever capacity you have if you commit to it it makes it easier. Of course you can take breaks and stuff but having a schedule helped me so much of actually forcing myself to sit down and just play a video game for a couple hours. Also viewers know when to expect streams from you and consistency helps a lot.

In terms of like things to consider, most twitch streams nowadays in the space have like a starting screen ~5 min, maybe a chatting screen, gameplay, brb, and ending. You'll learn what other sceens you personally are going to need as you need them.

Most of my current scene backgrounds I've just honestly used Canva to make slight gifs, mixed with my own editing and layering.

I did this like 2 years ago when I took a month off after surgery so I could come back to a nice updated stream that I am still really proud of.

I also made a png-tuber during this time, as much as sometimes I wish I did facecam mentally I dont think im ready for that. so I drew all the parts myself and used HONK which was really fun to learn, all the drawings had to be in very separate layers so they would move how I want and now my little guy talks and moves his head and moves his ears and blinks and can change outfits

there are also free programs to do this like veodotube but personally I really like how much I can change with honk and how it has different mouths and doesnt jump every second, looks cleaner to me and well worth the 12 bucks.

this is my audio nested source since every other sorce uses these audio chanells zircon was talking about. Personally, audio is really important, I check and modify my audio after almost every stream cuz I'm paranoid and still dont feel like ive reached a good spot. Obviously not actually needed just something I personally prioritize. also wifi (ive been in a battle with telus this past week) wifi and your computer strength will play a part in what games will physically work

more fun things, I have so many streamelements custom commands that just say shit into chat and videos that randomly play

and speaking of stats, twitch tracker is really useful (just dont morally compare yourself to others u know) its really fun to see how others are doing compared to yourself just dont take it personally

also an about section is really handy, its what i look at when looking at new people to raid, also raiding people when u are done stream is free and helpful for both sometimes, its nice to share the community u know, helps you both grow sometimes.

This is gonna be long so get comfy.

#1 best tip: Get familiar with your streaming software of choice (most likely OBS) and don't be afraid to play with it. Your first streams are not gonna be a polished as you'd like no matter what you do. You don't need to know the software inside and out to use it well and familiarity will come with use. The best approach (in my opinion) is to figure out what you like in other streams and figure out how to do that for yourself, don't worry about learning absolutely everything right from the start.

Another good tip is to do some mic checks beforehand, if you just record instead of streaming you'll be able to see what your mic sounds like on stream, and there are tons of tutorials out there for figuring out mic settings (this is the one I followed I think, although with some differences just for my own preference).

Yet another helpful resource: this is a link to an obs plugin that will help manage audio sources so you can actually control what plays on stream, instead of it just playing your whole desktop audio. (I think OBS has a version of this going now? But I tried using it and didn't get far) You'll have to add an audio source individually for each application but the greater control is a godsend.

For overlays (things like chat on stream and alerts that play when people follow/subscribe/raid that sort of thing), there's a few routes you can go down. Twitch has their own alerts thing but personally I use streamelements (they also have a very popular chatbot which I don't use myself but may be worth looking into if that's something you want). Whichever service you end up using should give you some sort of link, which will be added to your obs as a Browser Source. (Also if you're using the obs plugin I linked, the browser source audio would be under the name "obs-browser-page.exe" after you set up the browser source)

My final bit of advice is that hotkeys are your friends! It is absolutely worth setting up a few hotkeys to make controlling your stream while in game easy. Personally I have hotkeys set up for toggle muting my my mic and discord audio, as well as for changing between my most common scenes (Also my catcam when my animals deign to show up). Typically if you are just using a regular keyboard you'll want to use key combinations as hotkeys to avoid accidentally activating one while trying to type in game (Something I have done many a time, but hey you never stop learning!).

Shoutout to @addaxbones for teaching me literally everything I know about streaming btw. He's the guy that got me into this mess and also the reason I met most of my friends today. (love that guy)

I am flattered you consider my streams "clean and well put together", and you can maybe take this as proof that on screen != behind the scenes, but here is my desktop from a few streams ago, not a tidy look I can tell you that.

first 5 min its eh not too bad, honestly i watched one of the worst adam sandler movies ever last night so everything seems fine its like eating cheap canned soup after only eating rotten food for a day. i like drew barrymore generally so im some what optimistic for her character.

i spoke too soon, it is not improving. this plot is extremely predictable i can tell its enemies to lovers very fanfic troupe whatever everything doesn't have to be groundbreaking cinema but it feels lazy. it has quite a few good actors so thats a plus?

my least favorite bit so far is the 12 (?) year old boy with a crush on the babysitter. i know thats normal it happens but the whole way of addressing it is unfunny jerking off humor yk. also not a continuing thing but i thought the period jokes were strange bc they're just inaccurate, its strange to me that two actresses were backing up that tampon size correlates to pussy size and that when your older you stretch out, its literally that frank iero meme the what pussy size are you- i didnt know people actually believed that lol. also another thing thats very typical for these type of movies were the lesbian jokes about the main character and her friend, it felt like it was going on too long. the joke seems like a one off comment adams character would make not a 3 minute convo yk. i personally didnt find it offensive but it was just long and unfunny, to be fair last night i watched the most stereotype of a movie besides zohan so far.

ooo terry cruz hes in this one as well. i like him too so again i hope his character turns out ok. nothing really to say about them going to africa, very predictable and you immediately find out what happened no suspense. the boy jokes about his daughters are a bit strange, short hair on women is not uncommon in south africa? in 2015 which i assume is around when the movie takes place it wasnt a wild concept, a ton of south african women have short hair and every other hair length. i dont get it. anyways.

well its not the worst movie ive seen, but its not one i would rewatch either, it feels very early 2000s so im suprised it was made so recently. i would say overall its a 5/10 on the sandler scale, nowhere near as bad as zohan or ridiculous 6 but not as good as say bedtime story*.
