Zoey Taltatheil’s Redesign!!!

As per usual, headcanons and details:

•First outfit is pre time jump, second is post.

•She’s an Yggdrasil elf, which comes from norse mythology, so I tried to incorporate a little bit of norse ish details in her design (there’s really not much but she’s an elf which i don’t really associate with norse mythology so i kinda struggled)

•Yggdrasil elves are the tallest of the elves. It’s not uncommon for them to reach heights of 6’6 or 6’7. Zoey is considered slightly shorter than average.

•Yggdrasil elves are also the least common to see out in the “wild”. It’s not entirely uncommon to see elves walking around, though they do tend to keep away from human villages. But Yggdrasil elves rarely leave their forest.

•When an elf discovers they have magicks, and uses them for the first time, markings appear on their body to represent whatever their magicks is. It’s unknown why this occurs or why it’s only to elves. Zoey’s markings represent her barrier magicks.

•These markings are what led to her village finding out about her illegal use of magicks.

•After Zoey returns to the Yggdrasil Forest after literal hundreds of years of being gone, her child is grown and has a family of their own. A family in which Zoey is not allowed to be a part of. Her child hates her for doing magicks and therefore being forced to abandon them. They don’t speak to her whenever she’s there. Especially when she returns with Levin and Malachi, feeling like they’d been replaced. They resent Levin and Malachi a lot.

•Zoey plays the flute.

•The elves of the Yggdrasil Forest speak a different language than the rest of Ru’Aun, similar to a Scandinavian language.

•This language is called Alvetunge

•She teaches alvetunge to Levin and Malachi, and they speak it when they don’t want anyone else to know what they’re saying.

•She only swears in her alvetunge… Until she teaches it to the boys..

•She keeps journals. She has… A lot… She’s lived a long time

•She’s mildly… very much.. in love with Aphmau

•Oh! And! I may or may not have stolen this fromThe Dragon Prince, but elves have 4 fingers instead of 5

BluShroom20 rambles about her Left 4 Dead 2 modding, since the game is still being pulped by exploits

The Left 4 Dead 1 Survivors don't get much of my attention in my L4D2 modding shenanigans for a few reasons. The character choices changing around a lot more being one of them.

Zoey is Inkling Girl because I'm a longtime Bowser Jr./Inkling shipper and that goes along with the Zoey/Ellis dynamic. Long ago I brainstormed a fanfic idea and everything, but it never went anywhere. She doesn't have a proper portrait though, which is one of the big reasons I want to make my own portrait mod someday.

AkiRen's spot was based on the fact I originally used a full Persona 5 survivor pack to get Akechi over Nick, and that's the spot he was in. This is noticeable in old videos/screenshots of the group, where you can still see the portraits of the other Persona 5 characters.

Eventually he was moved from Bill to Louis in order to make room for Peppino. Prior to the move, I had the TF2 Medic over Louis. I do miss having the TF2 Medic; the modmaker going out of the way to give each mercenary specific cosmetics to better match the survivors they went over was a nice touch.

Francis was a tricky one. For a decent chunk of time I had Black Frost over him, as a reference to it being one of RTGame's signature Personas in his playthrough of P5R. Eventually I wanted to add a bit of "realism" to the cast and landed on the idea of Lance from Epic Battle Fantasy. He fits the "hating nearly everything role" so why not.

Just like how I don't exactly have a model or modding expertise to insert myself over Rochelle and use Alyx Vance instead, Lance's stand in is currently a Lethal Company employee. Lance from Pokémon would have been a similar "same name, vaguely similar appearance" moment but he's not there last I checked.

Before Lethal Company, I did temporarily replace Francis with Sho Minazuki from Persona 4 Arena. Fun Fact: He shares English voice actors with Teruteru Hanamura (Todd Haberkorn)! I found this out while working on my Teru voice modding and thought having two characters voiced by the same person would be funny.

Outside the game, I have made drawings that attempt to blend some personal tweaks mixed with the survivors they replace. These range from simple things like Akechi having his gloves and striped tie, to giving other custom designs to the outfits (mainly done with Bowser Jr.). The L4D1 cast didn't get as much thought put into theirs.

I felt weird drawing Lance sleeveless since he doesn't exactly have arms full of tattoos like Francis, so I gave him the red jacket he wears in EBF5's epilogues (which is likely just the Casual Shirt/what he wore in Brawl Royale but redesigned).

I've yet to dress up Lance as a Lethal Company employee to match how I sometimes drew myself as Alyx Vance, but that might come someday.

So I had a kind of funny idea for the eventual time travel arc;

Maybe whichever group actually goes on the adventure gets joined by past and future versions of certain characters who got dragged in by all the Time Bullshit.

Past characters: The Pre-Waluigi Arc versions of Mario, Meggy, SMG4, SMG3 and Boopkins. So 3's still evil, Meggy's still an Inkling, nobody has their redesigns, and they have the limited animation and dialogue noises of that era of the show.

Future Characters: Mario, Lily, Tari, Zach (well, Zoey by that point) and a new character; a 14-year-old Inkling girl named Tyde who was apparently taken in by Future Bob a few months ago. They're from six years in the future and are dressed like they just walked out of a metal album cover because they apparently just came off the tail end of an arc called "Deep Dish Demons and Spaghetti Metal" where Marty's Spaghetti Cultists, Toadsworth's Flying Spaghetti Monster Cultists and Papa John caused the gates of hell to open up and plunge the Mushroom Kingdom into anarchy for a few weeks.

Yes, this means there are three Marios in one place. And one of them's Mario before most of his character development.

Oooh, I like this!! I like it a lot,, (Mostly because it can add some red herrings for me). Also, the arc name "Deep Dish Demons and Spaghetti Metal" is AMAZING, I love it.

I lovedddd Zoke when Total Drama Revenge of the Island came out. I was 13 years old and shipped them hard, I even wrote many.. many bad fanfictions about them. So, here’s a throwback because I haven’t drawn these two in years but with a twist!

I wanted to redesign both Mike and Zoey because why not? I don’t know why but I love redesigning characters, it’s just a lot of fun. I had a fun time with Zoey especially. I really wanted to portray her as the ‘2012 tumblr hipster who plays the ukulele,’ and Mike’s like ‘I’ve never met a girl like you before 🥰’ and is smitten.

Her label is the ‘indie girl’ after all and while her design in the show is definitely indie, I thought it’d be funnier to portray her as the ‘I’m not like other girls, I’m quirky 🤪’

Mike has a chewable necklace, headphones for when he needs to block out sounds and keeps hair ties on hand for when a different personality fronts, in case they want their hair up or out. Same with earrings too!

1- I don’t really think a lot? Uh. Wishes might not be a character anymore, have to talk to my friend about that. I’ve been collecting references for Mary’s redesign for the accessories I want to give her and they have been REALLY CUTE!!!! I need to flesh out Jennifer more, she is a news anchor I think????? Or rather, she was one in ssec, need to figure out her role in box 31. The rest are pretty no thoughts head empty. I might fully redesign Penny cause I never really liked her design. The rest are completly no thoughts head empty rn, tho if you want to know of specific eevees, I can def give you info on them.

2- All of those are Ambell eevees. Cant really say much about them as they are not designed yet.

3- there will be bios for all ssec cast on Toyhouse (Like Adam’s for example. that’ll take a lot of time though, like- a LOT.) and I’m planning non Toyhouse bios for the main characters too, but those will be made closer to when Box31 starts.

4- All eevees are in development and will be made at some point? The eevees you named are mostly all designed and have roles in the series, I just need to draw their official art. Flyntt actually needs to be drawn like- asap cause he is a VERY IMPORTANT figure in Greenpaw.

5- Sometime next year.

6- I am not using the eevee you designed. I don’t accept eevees like that. I normally find designs I like and pay for them. Or accept designs from friends after I tell them what I need.

7- Swordblade is the only Shiny Eeveelution that I caught legally. (I caught him as a Jolteon in Paldea using the power of Sandwitches) But he isn’t an Eevee so :/

8- prolly only Canvas will get tweaks out of those 3. Pizza and Violet have cute designs.

13- What is something your character would refuse to wear? this is a good annie question. shes a represses as fuck butch lesbo so she WILL NOT wear any clothes that make her look more masculine but she also feels she is a failure of a woman for this so she doesnt wear anything feminine either because she doesnt feel like shes "allowed" and she also feels like a freak when she does dress feminine. most neutral ugly big hoodie big pants outfits u have seen in your life she owns all of them

14- Is there a style your character is afraid they can’t pull off? umm i guess for annie i just answered that but tbh im not sure... im not good with like fashion styles and stuff like that so i dont draw them in anything fancy so i dont associate a lot of them with like particular fashion styles lol.

15- Would your character wear something someone else picked out for them? i think it depends who and what... for example claire would wear mostly whatever as long as he liked it but he would be much more tolerant of different stuff than he usually wears if it was amber picking out his clothes than someone he doesnt know as well

16- Is your character's appearance more telling or deceiving? i dont really know for this one as well sorry... i feel like im not the best at conveying that sort of thing visually so i dont know

17- What are your character's thoughts on wearing costumes? omg i dont have a name for the character im thinking of SORRY but one of the ITAFD guys he definitely would love costumes and dressing up and stuff. big weenie loser nerd he probably goes to like ren fairs and stuff. said affectionately. and probably antares would do it with him too because she thinks its funny + interesting

18- Does your character have a favorite outfit? zoey moment yes my beautiful butch anemic woman. wears her big fluffy jacket + flannel shirt everywhere. she hates the cold butthe jacket was also a gift from her late brother

19- If your character had to get a tattoo what would it be? i need to design tats for a LOT more of my ocs bc a lot of them would or should have them. claire gets one of a big oak tree on his back between his shoulders post canon... aelyn of course has a few ive halfway redesigned but she would have a lot more, and probably rebecca and dot would have some as well but not as many. cooper probably has one or two from pre-apocalypse too

I don't usually do this, but now I kinda wanna share some rough sketches + delve into creative process of figuring out how I wanted to draw Courtney.

Mind not the lack of polish, most of these sketches have been sitting in limbo collecting dust for at least a couple of months. As you can see, I was still trying to figure out a style I wanted to draw TD characters in, the leftmost sketch being more loose and cartoony and the fullbody sketch on the right being closer to the TD style.

I wanted to give her a slightly more believable waist-to-hip ratio.

In three of the sketches, you can see her with a slightly oversized cardigan, which while I like I didn't end up including in the design I settled on.

When looking for types of pants for her redesign, I ended up pretty dead-set on giving her something looser around the lower leg for comfortable mobility but still neat and refined feeling, I settled on sailor pants. I don't know if they're considered classy or not, but I thought they fit her aesthetically.

I was stumped for shoes, the right sketch is the only one without nondescript foot blobs, and it was basically me giving her Zoey's shoe style. IDK what the name of the shoe style I ended up giving to her is, but I like it a lot more for her.

I did a lot of personalised alterations to her hair;

Most of the sketches have her hair tucked behind her ears instead of having her ears covered like in the show, I honestly just think she looks cuter with her hair clipped back.

Speaking of clipped back, I included hairclips for that specific purpose, it gives a youthful vibe to her design which I like because most TD characters have a problem of looking waayyyy older than they're supposed to.

I drew curled/hook-like ends because I just prefer it over the blunt cutoff for her OG style. I matched the stray forehead lock to the same "hooked" look.

I mostly kept her colour palette because I really like it. Her favourite colour canonically is green so I emphasised that (plus I also love green).

I kept the dark green from the soles of her original shoes on the soles of her new ones, I also put a blend of it in the darker points of her hair.

Her hairclip is the same green as her pants.

Her eyes are black in TD and very dark brown in TDR, I kept it mostly dark brown but with a glint of the medium browns of her hair, plus specks of the orange of her lips and, once again, the green of her shoe soles.

Who are Hattie and Hayley, you may ask? well…

This is Hattie. she faced a lot of bullying for near constantly larping. People tried to convince her to change her gimmick into something a little more plausible for a twelve year old girl, but Hattie refuses.

Hattie is calm and collected, sweet, but a bit cunty at times. The sisters have this dynamic where Harriet sets the theme for their outfits each day, and like. Harriet shows up in full witch glory, Hattie is in a slightly more muted set, and Hayley is wearing… something a little more plausible for a ten year old girl. She has a bit of a tomboy attitude. She's taking karate class and she's good at it.

Hattie's very nice, so it's not only shocking, but terrifying how much anger she can hold. If she gets mad, you'll be completely and utterly screwed.

Hattie is very overprotective of her older sister, and will do anything, no matter how mad she gets, to protect them. Even threaten people, which she does so to George and Harold in Harriet’s monster of the week episode with gusto.

She's a threat when she gets a baseball bat in her hands… watch out. Yup, Hattie never admits it, but she has some anger issues. She's working on it.

Much how her sister is known as the Forest Witch, Hattie's nickname is the "Diamond Wix". Diamonds are the hardest material, referring to her karate classes. "Wix" is a gender-neutral term for Witch/Wizard.

Hayley is the youngest at 10. She's the only one who tolerates George and Harold's pranks, compared with her sisters' LARP shennanigans, sometimes picking fights. She loves Magic the Gathering, and talks Harriet's ear off about it. She's the Only Sane Woman to her sisters' weirdness. She just wants to be herself. Doesn't matter what anybody thinks. She's very shy, too. Hayley is obsessed with fashion. She loves designing, stitching, and glittering. Most of her outfits are her own creations. They are not always the most conventionally fashionable, but she loves them nevertheless. She also likes designing costumes. She also has the uncanny power to read auras. The Melvins' auras are a wonderful greenish purple. For George and Harold, she'd probably feel like someone threw up on their aura.

Now Harriet's embarrassingly overprotective of her sisters because of the man who lives in the woods. Mr. H. I don't have an image of him. But he wears all black - a black suit jacket, a black dress shirt, black slacks and knee high leather boots. He wears a gorilla mask that covers his entire face, even his head, and he has black gloves. He does have a yellow tie, though. According to Harriet, Mr. H is a pedophile who once took away a child. George and Harold learn that he's just a ghost, and he's good in life.

Hazel redesign. I gave her a red waistcoat, and changed her shirt to completely white. The boots and skirt stay, though. And I gave her a cute strawberry hairpin.

Cara redesign. The OG design I gave Cara was horrid. I made her a blonde bombshell, with a bang covering her eye. She's now wearing a red top with a white collared shirt underneath, blue eyes, and a green skirt with black circuitry. That purple thing in her hair is mean to be a hair scrunchie.

She's still a hacker, but she's a lone wolf. She while she may be a bit cold, a bit calculating and a bit rude, she's every bit a socially awkward nerd. Just with no glasses. She's kind and will go to the end of the earth for her friends.

Also, the entire first season of ACIT is complete and it's now on Wattpad and Neobook.

Zoey is about as fun-loving, rebellious, and rambunctious as you can get. She loves the thrill of the moment, and is always seeking out anything exciting to do. Growing up at an outsider for most of her life, she had grown up to live by her own rules without regards for the thoughts and opinions of others, believing that any judgements others have is their problem rather than her own, allowing her to move at her own swift pace. She hates taking things slow and always feels the need to go all with whatever she plans to do, being the rebel that she is.

But with so much rebellion, comes a great deal of consequences, something that Zoey holds little concern for. Zoey's decisions are reckless, often leading her into trouble with others, especially if she decides to take her antics publicly. She's also lazy as well, hating manual work or putting in any effort before the fun can begin, instead prefers to cut straight to the chase, meaning a lot of cut corners. Her brash attitude also has a habit of rubbing others the wrong way, even if it's with loved ones as she doesn't always think before she acts. However despite that brashness, she's also a very understanding person and is empathetic towards outsiders, believing that they deserve to live their fullest life in much the same way that she is.

Much like with my new Misty redesign, I wanted to stay true to the original design with noticeable changes. One change you'll probably notice is that I made the hair much more wild to emphasize her rebellious and rambunctious personality. I've also shortened the hair on her back, since it was a rather gimmicky way of emphasizing her hyena traits, and hair her hairstyle a little more messy than it needed to be. I've also made some changes to her winter outfit with a new sweater design (since the old one was a reference to Electric Family, and I worried that it would gamble with copyright a bit too much), while her casual outfit remains the same. I did give her a few additional outfits with her summer outfit and swimwear, as well as throwing her main rave outfit onto this reference sheet to keep things simple.

zoey soma and may

soma (the fully white one) never originally had a race and i didnt even know her name was a real name so after searching it i found out the name comes from indian origins so i decided she’s indian! :) /pos

zoey looks to much like an attempted rip off of ben drowned because of her eyes so i removed the blood 😭

may was too green.. definitely agree with her boyfriend for breaking up with her because of that 💀

zoey and soma were never given backstories and idk if im gonna give them backstories or not

Milo was originally a king DDD gjijinka i had designed when i had a big kirby phase, and  Zoey was originally a Legend of Zelda oc. When i first made these two for an original concept they intended for arc 3 (aka the final story) and only arc 3 but i liked the idea of them(as well as Ken and Astra) being heros before Milo became king so i drew them in their arc 3 designs rather than the arc 2 designs that i show in my ref sheets lol

Big ass art dumb, scroll through at own risk

Hello guys! It has been absouletly forever since the last time I posted anything here, I’m sorry. I kinda forgot I had a tumblr for awhile. But I’m back, with a whole new, much, much better artstyle compared to before.

So, in honor of this, I decided to start posting again, starting with an unbearably long art dump going from oldest to newest art on this computer so, scroll at you’re own risk.

Here is my first attempt at Pixel art in awhile, my girl Zoey when she was younger and being bullied or something.

Next is art of Marina and Mark, her awful ex, brought to you by the song Show and Tell by Melanie Martinez.

Next is my flower bab Mono, a skeleton who became the unwilling host of a parasitic like flower, which loooves sunflower seeds for some reason. The flower doesn’t hurt Mono, rather it protects him, as without a host, the flower will die.

Now meet Adelaide and Juniper, Mono’s moms. One is a stay at home mom that grows fruits and vegetables in their large backyard, and the other one is a flower scientist who studies all sorts of strange and gorgeous flowers, as well as experiments with them.

Meet Green Pearl, half of a permi-fusion based off a really pretty gem I saw, the Watermelon Tourmaline.

Next up is the fusion itself, Watermelon Tourmaline.

After that comes an OC I made named Matthew. He was made after I listened to Honey I’m Home too much and decided to make a character who’s a sweet christian trans boy who’s dad beats him because said dad is an asshole and an alcoholic.

Next two is a Hazbin Hotel OC before and after she died, who in life was a cannibalistic serial killer and in death became even worse. She’s not actually a vampire, I just remember reading somewhere that butterflies drink the blood of dead things and I thought it was cool.

Next up is Marina dressed in three outfits heavily inspired by the GHOST songs in this order; Apetite of a People Pleaser, Honey I’m Home, and Happy Days.

Next is a Blue Spinel OC I made, simply because the idea of entertainment gems is too fantastic to not make twenty versions of, come on. Besides, Spinel’s are great. This is my Blue Spinel, who’s gem is on her back like lapis. Her entertainment is mostly singing as well as a few smooth jokes.

After Blue Spinel is Liliac Spinel, one I plan to redesign in the future,I wanted to give her a more clowny apperance, and she acts a lot like the Spinel we got to know in the movie before Pink abandoned her, except that she can actually read social clues and knows when to calm down and give people a bit of space,

Next is my Blue Moonstone, and don’t worry I just recently redesigned her so, she looks better.

Next is criminal Marina and criminal Zoey, who I won’t get into right now but maybe I will later.

Next is Moth Zoey and Snake Marina, part of a mate au that I won’t get into right now but I will at a later time.

Next is my little Sally Face OC Tabitha, known affectionatly by her dad as Tabi Cat. Tabitha is... definetly one of my weirder OCs, as she’s obsessed with demons and ghosts, and actually isn’t scared of seeing demons or ghosts around the apartments. However, she is unbelievably angry at all the poor, innocent deaths that take place thanks to the cult, expressing her outrage often. She exists in two different timelines, one where she dies to the cult, and the other where she lives and through it and backs up Sal in court, effectively keeping him out of jail.

Next is a fursona I made. I’m not a furry, I just thought it would be fun to draw, although there is nothing wrong with furries anyways but whatever, here’s Mouse! Inky.

Here is the Moonstone redesign I promised. Now, when it comes to Moonstones in Steven Universe, we really don’t know anything about them. But I like to think that they are rather high up gems, by more of a theory then anything. See, you know the Moon Goddess statue that was supposed to save the Lunar Sea Spire? I like to think that the “Moon Goddess’s” are really just Moonstones, who are rather rare to come by but extremely valuable gems. Bismuth revealed that Spires are made for important gems to think in, and I believe that this particular spire was made for moonstones or other oceanic gems. As a ‘goddess’ like gem, she is calm, quiet, and wise, but very compassionate for others. My Blue Moonstone fled from homeworld during the rebellion, after hearing of a better place for gem kind, as well as their plan to protect the humans that occupied earth. Her Black and Gold Pearl, who belongs to my friend Luna, joined her. By the time they finally escaped to earth, the gem corruption had already taken place, and they were safe from it.

Next up is the Fell/Edgy version of Zoey, who is honestly one of my favorite versions of Zoey I’ve ever made.

This is Kelly, Marina’s youngest sibling and honestly the most mature out of the four. She’s 18, and rather sweet, does most of the cleaning and cooking at home because her siblings are all lazy shits, and she has a very good sense of judgement when it comes to people. However, she is very frail and spends a lot of time indoors to stay safe. She’s Asexual and straight, but supports her siblings even when they make her wanna gouge her own eyes out.

This is Aurora, the second youngest. She’s twenty one and currently working as at retail, having quit her stripper job the year before. She’s really into fashion, and wants to design her own line one day, for now she’s just making clothes for her siblings.

And Jonah, honestly I have mixed feelings about him. He’s a huge piece of shit, and I kinda hate him but I also love that he’s a dick, I don’t know why. He’s Marina’s twin brother, and the oldest of the four, and is just, very overprotective and mean to everyone.

This is Baby Doll, a Hazbin OC of mine that’s one of my favorites, personally. In the 1950s she was trapped and manipulated as the perfect housewife, bending over backwards to do everything her husband ever wanted. But about 5 months after she gave birth to his baby, he killed it while he was drunk, making it seem like it was an accident. Baby Doll was heartbroken, and blamed herself for the death, and was pushed over the edge when she returned from grocery shopping to find her husband cheating on her with a younger woman. She snapped, killing her husband and his mistress, before realizing what she did and killing herself.

Time to meet Coco, and boy he he one of my favorite Hazbin OCs. In life he was addicted to cocaine, and when offered a nice supply of it for sleeping with a drug dealer, who was he to refuse? So he totally slept with her, and the two made it a regular thing, getting closer to each other and falling in love. The got engaged, and that’s when things went to shit. The Drug dealer got into a drug war, and during said attacks, Coco was killed horribly. His fiance, distraught, gave up her life of crime and worked towards becoming a better persona, and later died, going to heaven since she had repented and become better. Coco himself had went to jail, and never got to see his fiance again.
