"Don't people eat 'em sometimes?" Sam asked, through a bite of oatmeal. He gestured wildly with his hands.

"Yeah, but there's a certain way to cut them, I think." Ryan and Logan's answer was simultaneous.)

That fueled the fire like gasoline. With a sudden surge of adrenaline, Leo dodged the swing that came her way and placed a well-aimed foot into the boy's stomach. He fell back, threw a clump of dirt at Leo, and she took the opportunity.

He was on his back and Leo stomped hard on his neck, earning several screams behind her.

Feeling (cw for body horror I think)

Dylan pointedly did not look up, as the hand started to tighten. The demon's skin was ashy and gray, the hand thin and bony, black veins protruding through the cold skin. It wore a loose, turquoise shirt, and a white lab coat that nearly reached the floor.

Shooting a quick glance at Ryan, he had not yet noticed. Dylan didn't want to move, afraid of the demon's nails clawing at their skin. With a quiet hum of Ryan's name and a swift kick at the ground, their friend looked up, shot to his feet, looking terrified of the demon. Dylan didn't blame him, though they had yet to get the pleasure of looking at it.

Reluctantly, Dylan moved their head up, meeting the gaze of what they assumed was supposed to be Leo.

It had the same face, though gray and pale, black stripes slashed over its mouth. It had the same golden eyes, though bloodshot and glowing yellow, and it had the same brown hair tied up behind its head, thin and disheveled.

It opened its mouth, and the skin on its lips stuck together, sewn up like a doll, as it smiled big, lacking teeth.

This was an easy contender for one of the worst days of their life.

The rotting wood creaked under his feet, mold and moss lining the cracks in black wood. Red waves crashed harmlessly against the poles. Through murky water, he could see arms floating.

If Dylan were here, they wouldn't have hesitated to go into the water. They'd have already found Elliot by now. Lucas would've been out ages ago. That was why they were taken away, they were too determined to find Elliot. Ryan wasn't determined enough.

If he didn't find Elliot, he wouldn't get Dylan back, and if he didn't get Dylan back, he'd be stuck here forever. With that thought in mind, he took a deep breath, willed himself to move, and stood right on the edge of the docks, and tilted ever so slightly forwards.

He plunged into the water, in what felt familiar. The water, this time, was red instead of murky blue, and when he was pushed into the lake at the fair, there wasn't a hand around his wrist, pulling him down. This time, there was, and he had screamed at the realization. Bloody water entered his lungs, tasting distinctly like iron, getting colder and darker the further they went.

He latched onto the pole holding the docks, digging his fingers into moss, reaching up for the surface. A hand grabbed onto his, pulling him out of freezing water. Jaxon held him close, shouting at a group of kids, frantically apologizing. Ryan didn't do much but shake, huddled against the safe figure of his friend.

Jaxon wasn't there this time. No one was there. He did not know whose arm was dragging him so deep underwater

Phoenix Wright Disabled Headcanons:

ADHD king literally the evidence is everywhere in the game

Constantly tapping his fingers and biting his nails cuz of it

Always has silly bandaids on his fingers (bought for Pearl but he uses them mostly)

Has POTS as well as chronic Back and Knee/Leg Pain (since childhood but exacerbated by physical trauma)

Gets hot/cold really easily from POTS so hes always taking his jacket on and off

Always putting his feet on his desk while he reads case files and everyone thinks hes just doesnt really care abt office etiquette (partially true) but its more for his POTS and leg pain

Paces behind the defense bench so his legs dont get as stiff

Also has chronic migraines (caused by the poison)

Usually gets them right after a trial wraps up due to his adrenaline crashing and the stress

Also gets POTS/pain flare ups then too

Partially the reason why he doesn’t take as many cases is cuz he needs time to rest

Standing in court and biking around to investigate takes it out of him

Asthma/lung and throat trauma (from eating glass)

Uses a cane sometimes but doesn’t like to

Feels like it makes him seem weak

In an effort to get him to use it more Maya and Pearls decorate it wish silly stickers (it works)

Also uses an inhaler (needed it more eight after the incident but doesnt need it as much now)

(Phoenix doesnt think he needs it so hes only going becuz he doesnt want to waste Miles’s money)

Major medical trauma (very cautious about food/drinks and cannot take cold medicine)

Can’t stand hospitals cuz they remind him of when he had to get the glass taken out

Needs someone go go with him to the doctor so he has someone to care for him afterwards (calm him down, make him eat, drive him home) since he usually has a panic attack

When he has a really bad day (whether that be mental or physical) Trucy will call Miles and he’ll drop everything to come take care of Phoenix

Usually this involves a massage, advil, and a bath bomb (and just Miles’s company)

(I like to imagine gets him some advil immediately and then he helps Phoenix into a bath and rubs his legs or neck for a little bit and then when he’s done he just sits on the floor next to the tub and reads a book while Phoenix relaxes)

(And then after he helps him get in bed, orders Phoenix’s favorite Thai food, rubs some soothing gel on whatever hurts, and then both of them and Trucy snuggle up and watch a movie of Phoenix’s choice (usually Legally Blonde) til he passes out)

The evil queen would never admit how bothered and… insecure she would get when anyone doubted her relationship with the good king.

She would always hear whispers in the hallway, murmurs of people saying that the only reason someone like him would be with her is because she spelled him.

Those sort of words had her burning in anger, but a part of her did understand why they said what they said. Who could really believe that the Good king would date the evil queen out of free will.

But that was the reality, in fact she remembered the first time they met and talked. It during a stormy night were she was planning on cursing some potions in Baba Yagas classroom to chase mayhem.

But on the way she stumbled- literally- into the good king who was plagued with some sort of insomnia. After that they started to talk and see each other more and more until he asked her out.

At first she said no. How could she go out with a guy like him, but jealousy got the best of her when a certain princess started to show interest in him.

And so when they were alone on one of their usual meet ups, she pulled him in my his shirt and smooshed their lips together in a kiss so passionate that it took minutes to catch their breath.

Ever since then they’d been dating and having regular dates that he (with a lot of insistence) would always organize.

So here she was now, in her dorm late into the afternoon as she got ready to meet him for a “very special surprise” as he said that morning.

The evil queen was honestly embarrassed with the amount of effort she was putting into looking her best, but just because she was the destined evil queen didn’t mean that she couldn’t care about how she looked.

Little Red tho was finding highly amusing as she looked at her roommate fuss over which crown to wear. “Red. What do you think, purple mayhem or black soul?”

She switched the crowns on her head showing the one person she could honestly call a friend. Red rolled eyes fixing her hood “I think that he will not care and you’re going to be naked before either of you notice each other appearance.”

The evil queen waved her hand making Reds hood fly of her head before she picked the black crown up and adjusted it on her head.

Sighing she looked at the clock and just as she did a soft knock on the door rang about. She did a final once over before quickly opening the door to come face to face with the good king.

“You look gorgeous. As always.” She smirked and accepted the black dahlias he was holding. “Mhmm you don’t look like a troll anymore! Congratulations.”

He grinned at her as he softly leaned down and gave a peck to her cheek. The evil queen flushed and turns away as she put the flowers in the nearest vase she could find.

They didn’t say anything else to each other as she took his arm and followed him down to where he planned their date.

“Sweetheart before we get there you’re going to need to close your eyes.” She looked at him suspiciously but none the less closed them. Latching on to his arm as he led the way up some stairs.

As he lead them up, the good king started to doubt. What if she didn’t like her surprise? What if she thought it was to… princessey?

He shook his head and let out a deep breath before he positioned her in front of him and opened the door. “Look around sweetheart.”

She held in a gasp of awe as she saw the once astronomy tower now turned into something out of a wicked fairytale. Black candles with purple flames light the room along with the shine of the crescent moon.

On the ground lay a deep amethyst blanket filled with a basket of what looked to be her favorite deserts. She would never admit it, but she did have a sweet tooth for a destined evil queen.

Sometimes she even thought befriending the witch from Hansel and Gretals stories just so she could steal the treats that she made.

Next to the blanket was also two small poofs with fine silver embroidery of small crowns and vines interwoven with them.

The good king stared at her for a long time analyzing her expression as she took in the scenery before her. He held his breath as she turned to him with a glint in her eyes.

“My my… you really have outdone yourself.” The evil queen wrapped her arms around his neck as she fluttered her eyes up at him. He gulped laughing awkwardly as he refrained from looking at her.

“You don’t think this is to much?” Her only response was to raise one of her sculpted brows up at him as she gestured to herself.

“Nothing is too much for me.” He chuckled at her words but still sighed out in relief as he lead them to the poofs.

Ever the gentleman he offered his hand for her to sit and very uncharacteristically she accepted. Maybe it was because he had weaseled a soft spot in her heart. But she’d never admit that.

The good king soon sat beside her, his arm wrapping around her shoulders as he started to pour some berry drink into two glasses.

The small talk and ease of conversation flowed out naturally between them, as if it was their destines to be together. Even tho he was the good king and she the evil queen.

Two complete opposites that had against all odds… fallen in love with each other.

The thought made the evil queen pause and turn to look at his handsome face. With bright eyes and smile to match.

As he noticed her staring he gave her a oh so charming smile, his eyes twinkling in the moonlight. The expression had her pause again and her insecurities to consume her.

The good king noticed her sudden change in attitude almost immediately, having being tuned into her emotions since before they started dating.

“What’s wrong sweetheart?” He tucked a lose peace of hair behind her ear, at the action she nearly jerked back but refrained at the last moment.

“… do you think we’re to different?” She didn’t know what prompted her to open up in the first place. Maybe she was loosing herself in him. He gave her a questioning look, not being able to wrap around in his mind what she was saying.

He couldn’t. Not when she was this captivating in the glow of purple flames.

“I just- I’m supposed to be the evil queen. You’re supposed to the good king. We don’t make sense.” Everyone was right. She wanted to say the last part out loud but something prevented her.

The good king was now very much confused. Maybe it was because none dared to let him hear the gossip and rumors about him and the evil queen. But he just couldn’t understand where this was coming from.

“Sweetheart l don’t care what we’re supposed to be. If it’s true love then that’s all that matters. Where did you even get these ideas?”

The evil queen shook her head and let out a bitter laugh. “True love… yes true love that means that there is a princess out there that is meant to be your good queen.”

He froze at her words his chest tightening in pain. “Even if there was such a princess. I’m not in love with her, I’m in love with you.” He tried to grab her hands but she pulled away.

“But that doesn’t matter at the end of the day right? Because after graduation I’m going to poison Snow White and your going to rule as the good king. You can’t have the evil queen by your side to do that.”

He gripped his hair in frustration before standing up and pacing around. Silence filled the room and the evil queen thought that he had finally come to realize what she meant.

But then he suddenly shouted “fuck destines and fuck tradition! I’m in love with you and if my future subjects can’t accept that then… then I’ll write my own destiny!”

The evil queen couldn’t hold back her shock at his outburst. “You don’t understand sweetheart. You are the only one for me and you always will be. Even if you poison Snow White and try world domination.”

Against everything that the evil queen had learnt in her life she started to cry. She wasn’t crying because she was sad or angry, she was crying because she couldn’t believe what was happening.

She always thought that one day he would wake up and realize how different they were. How little sense they made, how fucked up this was. But here he was wearing his heart out for all to see.

The good king fell to his knees as his saw the unshakable evil queen sobbing in her hands. His mind was reeling, he couldn’t believe himself. How could he cause her to cry? How him who he proclaimed as her true love and not all those other people that hated her just for her destiny.

“Sweetheart I’m so sor-.” She cut him off as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her face nuzzling into him as she sniffled.

They stayed like that for a while, comforting each other in the only way they knew. And as the minutes ticked by the evil queen started to think.

Maybe she could accept love in her life. If only it was for him.

I'm thinking about Wish again. So as the only Wish liker I know of, tell me what you liked about the story and also maybe some things you thought could be improved!

I would be honored! And it got long, so... below the cut.

What I liked:

I would die for Asha. She is so precious!

All her friends were so cute! I love that they were a tribute to the Seven Dwarfs. People complaining that the friends had no personality... neither did the Seven Dwarfs, really. I am so happy that they clearly accept Simon immediately when he returns after the spell is broken.

Dahlia specifically tho. She is always right there for Asha no matter what, trying to calm her and support her right before the interview, stalling with silly questions so that Asha can get into the castle for Sabino's wish, being the first to join in "Knowing What We Know Now" after Asha, and especially!!!! In "This Wish (Reprise)" when Asha is nearly defeated and pleading to the audience it is Dahlia who answers first! She doesn't even know if it's going to work, if anyone else will join, but she's right there pledging her wish with Asha because she cares about Asha so much!!!!! (Yes I might ship them. Why do you ask?)

I actually really like Magnifico as he is. He's a great example of a villain driven by trauma, with a great amount of charisma and genuinely entertaining to watch while also being so "love to hate"able. (The same cannot be said for a lot of stans.)

I love Amaya. Perfect arc. God I feel so bad for her but now she can rule as she sees fit, not playing second fiddle as an accessory to Magnifico. (I don't doubt that they love each other but there really was no repairing their relationship after he hit her with magic.)

I love Asha's mother and grandfather so much.

I LOVE STAR!!!!!!! FUCK OFF STARBOY

They structured the plot similar to old, cherished Princess movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and most specifically, Sleeping Beauty.

The end credits!!! Having little nods to all the Disney animated movies (except Meet the Robinsons apparently????) it was so sweet.

Could be improved:

The music. I liked about... half of it. The other half felt flat. I think that's because they hired pop radio writers instead of like, lyrical writers, if that makes sense. Both of "This Wish," "Knowing What we Know Now" and "This is the Thanks I Get?!" were so great, but "At All Costs" just had me sitting in the theater like pretty lights, but did we really need the song? and I don't even remember "I'm a Star!" because it felt really flat.

I love Star but we were promised "an origin of the Wishing Star!" and we did not get that. He just happens to be a character. I wish we'd gotten that actual origin story. I wrote a little rewrite about it, in fact, in which Star gives his life and magic to Asha and she is the Wishing Star we see in all the movies.

Also I didn't... much like Valentino. He was funny for the first five minutes he could talk ("Who knew my voice would be this low?") but then he just kind of became obnoxious. He didn't really bring anything to the plot that I can think of (even Hei Hei in Moana justified his role by actually, for once, being useful in catching the heart of Te Fiti).

I think that situating Rosas in a geographically real location was a shortcoming, because suddenly there is a myriad of real-life local cultures native to the Iberian peninsula to chose from aesthetic (clothes, architecture, etc.) wise and they didn't. For example, Asha has long braided hair specifically inspired by the Amazigh people, who the designers imagined her having heritage from specifically from Sakina's side, but there wasn't a lot else there. I like the design of the clothes and stuff in the movie but it feels short compared to culture of the area.

Lore. Apparently this movie is set before all other Disney movies and Asha is the very first person to ever wish on a star? Except clearly her father did the same, and her friends are at least familiar enough with the idea of wishing on stars that they see it as childish (Gabo's comment: "What are you, five?" or something like that.)

Asha deserved a whole magical transformation. Her pose when Star dusts her with sparkles is an exact pose reference to Cinderella, but while Cindy got the most gorgeous change (and Walt Disney's personal most favorite piece of animation), poor Asha just gets glitter. A massive downgrade made even more down because of the reference, in my opinion.

Both liked and could have been so much better:

References. So many of them. Some were nice (Sandra's wish to make the most beautiful dresses being shown as Sleeping Beauty's dress, a man named Peter wishes to build a flying machine and his companion is a brunette dressed in blue like Wendy). Some were weird. Some felt like they had no real business being there (see: Valentino's comment about an animal utopia suspiciously similar to Zootopia.)

(No I swear I'm not bitter that Atlantis and Treasure Planet didn't get in-movie references)

Miscellaneous comments:

I understand the whole "people are reluctant to let Black girls have a love interest" thing and I completely understand. But Starboy was just not it. This fandom already ignores Asha for him and he doesn't actually exist. If he had made it into the movie I already know how people would be treating Asha.

I know I said I love Magnifico as the villain but I would very much love to explore an AU where Asha *did* become his apprentice, and maybe he was like a stand-in father figure to her, actually careful and guiding, before something threatens all the wishes. I don't know what, but I feel like there's a lot of different ways that his trauma could have been explored without necessarily making him lash out and require so much control.

The movie feels rushed. I'm not saying that in an "it was bad, eew" way but in a "it could have been so much better" way. The literal tagline was "A story a century in the making!" and that drummed up a lot of expectations, but the end result is that honestly, it kind of feels like it needed more time to bake.

That being said, it was clearly crafted with a lot of care and thought put into it for what it was meant to be, and time constraints aren't the creators' faults.

- She'd think she'd be a bad mom, but maybe that's what drove her into the situation she's in right now.

- Very badly, holding a baby, that is now hers.

- Will hold it in..interesting ways.

- She'll be disgusted by it for a good while.

- But if the baby is.. how do I put this, clinically insane she'll accept it at some point.

- If you had been pregnant before getting into a relationship with her, she'd probably have already killed whoever you were with so..no need to worry about that.

- Would be the same as the last part, wouldn't really like it, but this time she's not showing the disgust of a child as much, since, yk you're the one suffering so much.

- She'll help around since you're literally growing another being.

- Which she may already consider her own.

- When you go into labor she'll have you at a hospital in the blink of an eye.

- If you've planned on a homebirth she'll be there, putting off her job for the while.

- If you want her to be the first one to hold..pretty much her child now, she'd feel weird.

Well, I haven't shifted yet (tho I'm definitely going to) because the only attempt I do at it is go to sleep and hope to wake up in my dr lmao. Which can work btw, but you gotta set the intention to and I don't even do that.

But I'm still gonna take the opportunity to talk about my drs (they're so good even if they're Wattpad coded, I promise 😭) because I love them and I need to get out of this shitty reality as soon as I can.

My main reality (not the one I'm shifting tho rn) is a tvd one, where I'll permashift and I'm basically the daughter of Hecate in that dr aka the reason to make myself as overpowered as possible (yes I made myself more powerful than Hope deal with it, I'm literally a goddess in that reality). Given that is the dr where I'll stay forever, it's the last one I'll shift to. But my s/o is Klaus and I'm having his tribrid child because no child of mine is being born on this rat hole and I literally love Hope. But it's so cool, I created a new family so I don't have to be part of the main families of tvdu and I basically script those siblings in almost every reality.

Btw, if someone shifts to tvd as well, please script Damon doesn't rape Caroline/Andy and that Katherine doesn't rape Stefan either. And script out the racist shit the Mikaelson are always pulling on Marcel as well as Klaus (and any other Mikaelson tbh) treating Marcel like he's family and not making any blood distinction between him and Hope.

My fame dr is practically those siblings I mentioned earlier and characters of the tvdu in a human au. I'm dating Klaus as well in this reality, and I'm basically the most successful actress and singer of the century (I need my main moment leave me alone). Klaus is a successful painter, at the level of Picasso, van Gogh, Dalí, da Vinci etc. Rebekah is the most famous models of Victoria's Secret, Elijah is one of the best lawyers, Kol is a professional magician and Finn and Freya manage a luxurious company. In other ways, they're famous Kardashian level, as well as my family.

And I scripted out Julie Pl*c, JK R*wling and Rick Riordan as well. And I basically attributed Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and a lot more to a poc woman named Elia Lennox. I changed everything about hp and pjo btw, they're not problematic books in my dr at all and I added a lot of representation, diversity as well as subplots.

And I asked an ai a way to eat meat that doesn't come from animal abuse and scripted it into my dr. Short explanation: scientists grow meat in a controlled environment using animal cells, without the need to raise and slaughter live animals.

But going back to your point, idk. I like to script scenarios I see in tumblr (especially the ones from @klausysworld 🙈), but perhaps is the one where I run over Klaus with my car and throw him off a bridge in my tvd dr. I need that enemies to lovers trope and he's an complete asshole anyway.

Or perhaps the scenario I scripted where the Mikaelson "go poor" for a week and they have to come live at our house and I suddenly have to share my bedroom with Klaus. Dw they get rich again, think about it as if their bank account was suddenly hacked by no reason other than karma. Or perhaps witches, who knows.

Got around to watching Wish after my mother and sister invited me to sit down for a watch

My thoughts:

I don't think it's as egregiously bad as people says it is but I also don't think it's good. It's not as wowing to me as Encanto was but I don't think it's worse than Disney's Pinocchio 2022 (tbf nothing can be worse than Pinocchio 2022)

I feel some songs started rather awkwardly. At All Costs and This Wish is two songs I really loved upon first listen and I will still listen to them even later, but ngl these two songs had the most awkward starts in the movie

That being said, it was kinda heartwarming to see Asha fall so deeply in love with her Gramps' wish. Its sweet.

Speaking of songs, I'm A Star, sounds good everywhere except the chorus. The chorus kinda drags the whole song down 😬 I've seen some deep hatred for I'm A Star but it's kinda inoffensive in reality. Just a shit chorus, a first for a Disney song, I think.

Star is cute but the bond between him and Asha isn't as solid to me. I don't know, I'm just not feeling it. There's something about Star & Asha's bond that didn't feel as solid as say Asha & Dahlia.

Though their interaction does cement my previous feelings of preferring them to be platonic rather than romantic (tho I do love what the Fandom has come up with the romance between the two)

Actually getting to watch Magnifico in action, a lot of his red flags that I've seen people say are green flags are, in actual fact, still red flags.

While, yes, Magnifico has a point about not granting everyone's wish as some could be dangerous, Asha also has a point about why doesn't he just return them.

This is The Thanks I Get is still very Illumination villain-coded and I don't regret saying that before.

Also, I think the intention behind the song is solid though. It's giving corrupt government.

That also being said, I'd still put Magnifico below Hans on the villain scale. I don't know. He's just not icon material. Descendants will never create VK from his image. And he probably won't be getting any students based off him in Twisted Wonderland. I just don't think he's got the staying power. He will fade and join the likes of that one guy from BH6 and Dawn Bellwether from Zootropolis. He's kinda a disappointment of a 100th anniversary villain. I do wish they had stuck to that thing of him physically eating the wishes and becoming more physically monstrous because of it(if that was an actual canon and not another fan made thing)

Thats about all I got. 5/10. It was better than Disney Pinocchio 2022. But kinda lacklustre for a 100th anniversary film.

OKAY I GOT DISTRACTED FOR A BIT BY GETTING IN THE ZONE BUT AITSF UDPATE:

1: finished the komeji and shoma ending! i! okay ill be honestly i wasn't super thrilled. I REALLY like the set up stuff in terms of simulation reality, and beleiving its all fake bcs you can't cope, im MASSIVELY INTO THAT. But. I don't. like. Komeji I'm so sorry his just. he's so cube. and he annoys me. I feel like a usually have a pretty high tolerance for this kinda stuff but I just. On paper i get it but in practice I really dont like him. was very happy to see date n co tho. i think it's RIDICULOUSSSS how they explain date's interest in porn like that did not need to be explained. however. its such a stupid explanation it kinda loops back around to being funny to me. sure. why not.

2: ollowing finishing that route i tried to get back to Tokiko to see if i could use that elevator code, bcs she'd been mentioning frayers and i thought i knew what that was but i did not. but no thats only 6 digits so still not right f=/. dang. i also tried to get onto mizuki's half i miss my baby, but i found i needed two names. i know Dahlia is one, but the other is 4 letters so. Currently its probably either for Mame, Lien, or Naix. I suspect Naix the most as an answer.

3: started onto the other route from komeji's somnium. I maintain that these are too easy. It's not like they're like. the problem is that I feel like i'm being treated like I'm an idiot. ryuki and tama talk everything out in such detail, and theres often not a lot of stuff to interact with at all, a lot of which doesn't even let you make the choices like from the last game. like, proper timie usage was SO important to me last game and in this one I've never even racked up 3. i also feel like there's less dream logic, and it's a little disappointing. like, oh tape the cardboard back together. turn on the tv. =( the whimsy. it did improve some in the back half though, and i'll take it!!!

4: liking this dead komeji route WAY MORE than the other one. its not that i hate him that much but i do like the way the plots moving here. what does mame know? whats the masked womans deal? has anyone seen shoma. WHAT IS WRONGGGG WITH RYUKI <33. what is wrong with ryuki is by far my favourite mystery. im more interested in that than i am in the half body killings honestly. (part of that is teh victims i think. we dont really know jin, chikara was annoying at best but the more i learn about him the more i hate him, komeji was annoying, so. honestly i havent really been that upset about any of them dying. tokiko i did love and i am sad she's gone, but also these murders are a little bland following the first game. i just watched a guys head explode could there at least be a little blood? just a little? i know its probably for plot reasons but ive never missed gore so bad. im not even that into gore.

5: somewhere on the dead komeji route i finally figured out what that little green thing in the menu was so i've activated my tamagotchi thingy!! very fun i love it. mines an iris-y one or something? its cuteee!!

6: in terms of the wider mystery: im just really curious how far they're gonna commit to being meta.they did start with asking ME what i knew about the last game so.... looking forward to ryuki's whole deal, actually getting to play as my darling mizuki again, finding out what is UPP with date. i really like the weird videos series i just think they're neat. if the endgame doesn't have a somnium based on those thigns i will be disappointed, surely thats what we're building to.

i left off right before starting mame's somniumin the gameshow room. i don't think shes' actually involved in the killings, but doing that would be REALLY NEAT as a sequel thing, imo. i'd like it. i think shes just hiding stuff bcs she was threatened. assumably i've still got a good chunk of the game to paly! i havent done much if any of the extra eyeballs either, just whats on the way so. i'll get those guys. have been picking up some costumes n stuff tho. you can put tama <33 in pants <3333333333.

Kai simply shrugged, not caring to dwell on it. She’s had many admirers and none she really cared to entertain. Heeseung though, she couldn’t help but feel the butterflies in her stomach when he’s around, and she does notice him staring. If she wasn’t so shy, she would be staring right back if she could. Or better, she wished she could take a picture. OH! A picture! He’s a famous chaebol, there’s photos of him online. She’s simply a genius.

After closing up shop and heading upstairs, Kai quickly gets ready for bed, petting their cat Goerge who has made his spot on her bed. She took out her phone and looked up Heeseung’s name. There were a lot of articles about their company, from stocks dropping and rising. She recognized Beomgyu, who was hanging around Gyuri for a while. Gyuri told her how crazy he was and that he needed to grow up and just does everything to spite his family. She wondered about Heeseung, he seemed to be the complete opposite. He was inheriting the company and pretty soon next in line to take over. Their worlds seem so different, she wondered why 2 chaebol kids were hanging around their hotel. Soon, sleep overtook her and she fell into a nice deep slumber. She only dreamed of black Dahlia’s and that handsome man's smile.

“Release the articles, we’ll have an engagement party planned and set up in 2 weeks!”

Heeseung and Beomgyu sat in their father’s office, he was going over future plans and this time Beomgyu didn’t protest. He just stood up and nodded and was ready to head out.

“Beomgyu, I arranged some flowers to be sent to Somi, go and pick her up for lunch today. We need her on your good side,” He instructed.

“Yes, father!” Beomgyu left with his head low. He couldn’t do anything about this decision but just take it and accept it.

“What about you?” His father asked. “Heeseung?”

“What?” Heeseung snapped out of his daze and looked over at his father who was now sitting at his desk, glaring into him.

“We need to consider your marriage,” his father said.

“Oh, right. Right now I don’t think focusing on that would be best as I’m transitioning to take over,” Heeseung calmly stated.

“Hm, you’re just like me, fuck!” His father said under his breath, but Heeseung heard it loud and clear. “I don’t want to force you into anything since we don’t need anything from anyone. Beomgyu’s marriage is strictly punishment. For now, you can keep your freedom. You’ve done everything right this whole time, I only reward those who obey me.”

Of course, everything is always tied down by who listens better and does what they’re asked. Heeseung’s whole life he was groomed to obey and never question anything. He’s always been the boring good one, while Beomgyu runs chaos around the world. Beomgyu who has always never listened and done what he wanted to do. Beomgyu who made it clear he didn’t want any part of this world and wanted to do everything to disobey the order. Heeseung was jealous of his brother, and how free he was. Heeseung missed out on a lot because he was tied down to the orders. He was feeling a sense of rebellion now that he was going to take over everything soon.

“Oh, thank you for those flowers by the way. That was a good idea for your brother,” His father praised and Heeseung nodded. “Black Dahlia’s are an odd choice but I guess it means well anyway.”

He couldn’t wait to get out of there and go running. Running to her.

“So, he wasn’t even her boyfriend?” Jay asked, out of breath as the two ran side by side on the treadmills.

“It was her brother,” Heeseung confirmed.

“This is great! Do you know what this means? You won’t be a homewrecker!” Jay exclaimed.

“That place is so weird, Jay. I got over 100 flowers that she arranged for free by the way, and I got them for only $50. How is that possible? And she keeps going on about this magic, this magic that and like, this other guy came out and wanted me to paint with him and drink wine…I don’t understand any of it!” Heeseung slowed his treadmill and began walking. 

“This place sounds like a blast, honestly. Can I come?” Jay asked.

“You want to come with me?” Heeseung asked.

“Why not? Plus, I’d get to see this beauty you oh so fell in love with,” Jay said.

“I didn’t fall in love with her!” Heeseung groaned, turning off the treadmill and getting off. He began to wipe his sweat with a towel.

“Yeah, okay!” Jay followed suit next to his best friend. “It sounds like a fun place.”

“It’s weird, there’s also nothing about Hotel Juliet anywhere online, it’s like this place literally does not exist,” Heeseung drank from his water.

“Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be? Or maybe they are all criminals and in hiding, or doing illegal business that’s why everything is so cheap. It’s a front!” Jay gasped.

“You’re an idiot!” Heeseung couldn’t help but wonder the same thing.

“Wait, this is it?” Jay asked as both of them sat in Heeseung’s car in front of the hotel. Heeseung nodded and just looked out watching everyone inside.

“It doesn’t look like anyone’s…home?” Jay was so confused and now he understood it. “I’m going to put $1,000 on that criminal front theory.”

“I wouldn’t take that theory out either,” Heeseung agreed.

“Well, shall we? Let me go sniff some flowers!” Jay quickly got out and began hopping his way over to the entrance. Heeseung placed his hands in his pockets and followed shortly, already being familiar with the amazing aroma of the place. He doesn’t think he can ever get tired of it.

“Wow, if it wasn't for our lovely new chaebol friend here. You’re here to paint, right?” Sunghoon greeted them and Heeseung immediately took note that Kai wasn’t around. Disappointment was laced on his face. “Don’t be too disappointed, geez. It’s a crime to frown.”

“And…you are?” Jay asked.

“Oh, I’m Sunghoon. I run the sip and sit department,” Sunghoon said.

“You act like this is a warehouse, shut up, stop bothering the customers! KAI!” Gyuri came out holding 3 boxes in her arms. 

“Oh, let me help you,” Jay quickly ran over and began to help her. 

“Normally, I’d say fuck off, but my arms are sore today so be my guest!” Gyuri said and Jay laughed at her as he fully took over.

Kai emerged from the back then, in a beautiful sundress and her hair was down this time. Heeseung’s breath was knocked out yet again by her beauty. 

“Take a picture, it will last longer,” Sunghoon whispered to Heeseung who was just about ready to punch this guy in the face.

You’re back, Are the flowers okay?

“Yeah, they’re fine. Thanks, I’m just here for my buddy Jay, who said he needed some flowers too and since you guys are obviously the cheapest around I thought I should bring him.”

“Yo, don’t wait up, I’m going to stay for that sip and sit class actually, it looks like fun,” Jay came over quickly waving off Heeseung. Heeseung sighed and face palmed himself, could not believe the idiot was convinced by another idiot.

She was completely silent yet Heeseung watched very closely and understood everything she had to say. He followed her exact lead and movements as they arranged together. She had simple tulips and lavender together and it worked and made a beautiful bucket. She motioned for him to try and his eyes went wide.

“I can’t speak to the flowers like you can, I don’t know what I’m actually doing.”

You don’t need to speak to flowers to understand it, it will look beautiful either way because all flowers are beautiful, even the dead ones.

Here's the deets about this AU:

As of last night's audio, Darlin•Darren and Castle!SH are the same person in this crossover. Darren's parents had divorced sometime ago and while Darlin was in custody of their dad in Dahlia, his mom adopted Claire back in their hometown. Darren thus frequents between being a Shaw pack member and a Greene Pack member but holds love for Claire and David regardless of their circumstances (they just show it more to Claire cuz sister privileges).

FL and Dear are both online friends who discovered the magical world together and exchange what they both know about it via messages to one another, they both ship each other with their respective speakers to the other's embarrassment. They love each other tho🧡

Celine is William's maker (the discord knows this shit and I'm taking it from there to here). They used to be a thing and Celine turned him after he was on the brink of death(unspecified). That makes her Madame Solaire actually even though William holds the title of king. She loves all the others of the Solaire clan and loves Lovely.

Lasko and Rose both went to DAMN together! Rose attended for a final mandatory year over at DAMN in the same year that Lasko semi-got his shit together and they both were study buddies! Rose moved on from Dahlia but Lasko stayed. They still text each other sometimes tho!

The Shaw and Greene Packs both have avid communication with each other in the fact that Darren is a member of both packs. Asher and Beth have set up a personal communication between them called Beta support that in reality just is a groupchat with Beth, Asher, Beautiful and Baaabe.

David and Claire both work with each other in David providing security for Claire's blood transportation operation and Claire networking with the Shaws and the Solaires to provide vampires in Dahlia with the same resources that Glenwood has. Claire and David also playfully bicker with each other about who has a better beta. Neither have broken the tie.

Darren is dating Sam and Genevieve–best believe the poly goes everywhere with me–Gen and Sam are also dating, they're a throuple and it's cute as hell. Gen also spends time with the Solaires when she can and is besties with Lovely.

You might be thinking about it but no, Quinn and Rachelle don't work together on account of how I've written Quinn in my head. He enjoys the power he gets from being a vampire and with Rachelle's story going on, it seems as though she wants to return to being a human, they both want very different things but have interacted when they need something from each other.

Ranger, Claire and Sadhil•SH do know each but ranger doesn't like Sadhil(they do like each other, they're just rivals) on account that they're very defensive about their territory in Glenwood. Sadhil and Claire did once work on a case together out in Glenwood regarding a previous case where Shifters were believed to have gone rogue. She and Sadhil both teamed up and their dynamic can be summed up to "you're so annoying that I would actually kiss you to shut you up". If you couldn't tell, this is the Milo/SH/Claire/Ranger agenda. They're all shits to Milo and it's cute.

Morgan and Beautiful know each by virtue of their organizations crossing paths with one another a lot. They're both besties who talk about Beth and Seer a lot.

Gavin and Celine know each other from their many travels and they've both met up once or twice and have had lovely conversations about the nature of immortality and their places in the world as it evolves. They're friends :3
