Absolutely no offense to Sokka/Suki, but I think there should be AU content where Yue becomes the Moon but then she and Sokka just... keep dating. She uses her spirit powers to hang out with him somehow and, well, the one benefit of having given your life for your people is that at least you don't have to give up your love life for them now, right? Sokka adapts easily enough to having a spirit girlfriend, because it is frankly not the weirdest thing that's happened to him.
Potential futures, ranked from most to least angsty:
Sokka being the Moon's Husband until he dies, bringing the inevitable, tragic yet beautiful until-the-end-of-time parting that ends mortal/immortal relationships.
Avatar-world variant: Sokka dies but reincarnates, and the Moon shines more brightly on every one of his future selves, whether he knows why or not. (Sometimes he does.)
Sokka also ascends to spirithood at some point by virtue of Being The Moon's Husband, and basically becomes the Knowledge Owl Guy's nemesis because he A) is very involved in the mortal world and B) thinks that information should be free.
Variant: Sokka replaces the Ocean Spirit through some convoluted turn of events, making him and Yue the new yin-yang of Water.
Related, but different: Sokka just gets a nice house in a corner of the Spirit World where Yue stays between moonset and moonrise. If Iroh can, why not Sokka?
Anyway, this way you get the wholesomeness of these two finding happiness and love together even after everything; the comedy of Sokka actually DATING THE MOON and probably being very chill about the weirdness; and the incredible potential of an immortal spirit Sokka.

haiiii ;3 can i request kinich and a reader who’s like half siren? like in h20 where when they’re dry they have legs and mualani finds her injured and keeps her in the springs and one night when he goes to see her she’s singer and he like falls in love? i’m not the best with ideas but ignore if you don’t want to lol
hi !! ty for requesting :3 i love the idea so i gave it a shot. i'm not deep into the siren mythology so i switched the lore and tried my best writing this one < 3
Tumblr media
"you can't just take in a random stranger in your house just because they're injured, mualani."
"but they were suffering and needed urgent help!"
"then, you should've taken them to the clinic. who knows how severe their injuries are or if they have good intentions."
the conversation of your savior and a stranger stirs you awake from your slumber, eyes fluttering open as your mind gradually processes that it is time to get up. well, maybe if your legs weren't a bit impaired then standing up would've been useful.
except you're not in the best shape as you found yourself tangled in washed-ashore seaweed causing you to trample over rocks and bruising your legs; this means that you can not transform back to your siren appearance (and vice versa if your tail was injured). thank archons, your ridiculous situation ended soon when a kindhearted mualani decided to tend your injuries.
you were honest with your true self with mualani, believing in your instincts that she is as kind as she shows herself to be. like you, she was one with the waters, a soul that's tied to the flow of the oceans and destined to live freely just as the waters liberty to just be.
in the silence of mualani's shelter where you rest and heal, there's the envy creeping up in your heart that you desperately want to repress. but no, it makes itself known for you are not like mualani.
mualani is a free-spirited surfer, an adventurer of the seas; while you were a siren shunned out by society, viewed as a menace and a threat to the land's safety. kill a siren on sight before they destroy your life is what the people would say.
but you do not have the heart to decline her kindness, rather you want to see her heart as a chance to be seen by humans in a different light. because if mualani can, then why can't they?
still, you uphold the value that your mother had instilled in you; there's no point in proving your kindness when they do not believe in your existence. so you remain hidden within the confines of mualani's home, waiting for your injury to subdue until you're able to become siren again.
"kinich, this is yn. yn, this is 'malipo' kinich." mualani introduced you to a trusted friend of hers with enthusiasm high enough to reach the heavens. simply, you give the dendro user a nod and a gentle smile, he returns the gesture with a civil nod of acknowledgement. kinich's reserved attitude is intimidating, given that mualani is the only human you had ever interacted with, you're confused how human relations work and whether the land culture is different from those who reside under the waters.
you trust that mualani hasn't let a word out about your identity, yet it doesn't assure you when you feel the man's skepticism clawing at your skin as if he's ready to capture you the moment he confirms your true nature.
or maybe you're just overthinking.
kinich never intended for his lingering stare to feel like a dagger pointed at your neck, on the contrary, he harbors the curiosity to learn about you. he often finds how his mind wanders off to mualani's newfound friend whenever the usually occupied space in his head is vacant. who is she? why is he so subconsciously adamant on knowing her? only he fails to grasp a clear picture of reason as to why the voices inside his head are telling him to seek at least a fragment of her soul.
"mualani, thank you for taking care of me."
as a parting token, you granted mualani to experience your siren form. the two of you are within the privacy of the springs that only a few ever come to visit under the moonlit night sky.
your heart sinks at the thought of returning back to the deep, uncertain if you shall ever come up to the surface once your clan learns about your predicament knowing that despite you were well taken care of, they will only emphasize the what-ifs and assert the dangers of a siren caught on land.
natlan's springs are peaceful. you requested to have time in the waters for yourself the next night; promising that when morning comes, you are off to return to the ocean where you belong. but right now, you are neither your ascribed identity or whom you want be, you are just part of the waters.
cold air hits your skin, you lightly splash the water with your luminescent tail and softly smile at the quietness. sometimes, the water doesn't have to be constantly flowing, staying still is alright.
in the midst of your solitude, you hum a tune that your mother used to lull you to sleep when you were a young siren. your voice mimics the gentleness of a mother's love, a cradling feeling of tenderness and comfort. slowly, it shifts to a song, your voice becoming louder and alluring.
and just like a serenade, your song had captivated a certain saurian hunter's attention, he stands on the opposite edge of the spring right across where you were situated in. your eyes still closed and immersed in your enchanting euphony.
"i believe i'm not under a spell, but allow me to compliment your melody. may i stay here and listen?"
kinich fixes his composure, hiding the nervousness inside his pocket. but oh, the moonlight acts like a spotlight on your figure, your true nature completely open for him to realize that you are not human at all.
but kinich isn't fazed, neither does he yield the urge to capture you in exchange for the prestige that comes with catching a siren alive.
"are you not afraid?"
instead, you were the one afraid, wrapping your arms around your torso as if it's any help in shield your true form from his green and amber eyes.
"i'm fascinated. you are a beauty."
at this point, kinich does not intend to supress his longing need for you. he's conscious and sober, implying that a siren's song is not all about luring prey into the waters.
sometimes, just like yn, a siren's song is an open book to her innermost thoughts and heartbeat's poems. it doesn't need to hold words for kinich to depict the sentiments carried into the wind as she sings; to be known, to be understood.
"may i stay with you for tonight?"
this time, you wish for the moon to stay in its place, for time to pause, and for kinich to stay in the springs with you.

Hi, the anon that sent the Duke ask here. I’ll start signing off with “🐌” every time so you’ll know it’s me. :)
Anyway to add onto my idea: what if ghosts couldn’t remember their final moments? What if they think that they’re still alive? What if instead of being vengeful over their deaths or watching over Bruce, they’re stuck—bits of their memory missing like those few last puzzle pieces that you can’t find no matter where you look.
Think about how that would affect Duke. Duke who’s new to Wayne manor and is still figuring out who he is and where his place is amongst the bat family, starting to see dead people around them. Going on with daily life as though they’re memories rather than spirits.
He can just ignore them. Act as though he didn’t see anything super natural of the sort. But a part of him feels obligated to help Thomas and Martha; it’s the least he can do after Bruce has been so wonderful to him.
But how?
—🐌
I think it’d be really sweet if, maybe, Thomas and Martha can’t remember certain notes and elements from their life, like a lost translation of a written poem, told before and told again, buffering with interruptions, but they remember Bruce very well.
I can imagine Duke, not helpless, never helpless, but guileless and directionless and lost between shore and ocean, just wanting a shepherd. A line. A clue.
And Thomas? Thomas relates. Imagine Duke escaping to the roof, wanting to be lonely, but not alone, and being comforted by his ghost grandpa :(( wahh.
“It feels like I’m taking someone else’s place. Like… Someone better could be here instead of me. I took a spot meant for someone great, and I’m just,” he gulps, “Not that person.”
“Yet. But you’ll get there. At your time. “
“But how?”
“Kiddo, if there’s one good thing about Gotham city,” Thomas’ touch feels ghoulish and warm both, “is that no one can tell you what you are. You just become that, and don’t let anyone take it from you.
“Gotham’s been waiting for something like you. It can wait another day.”

La Sokka Lore
#HOLY FUCK#op i know you said spirit sokka but its giving avatar sokka and yknow what im living for it#either way this is so fucking cool#if you have headcanons about this sokka i would love to hear them and im sure many others would too#LOOK AT HIM! - tags by @zukkababey
Have I shared anything about La!Sokka? I... Don't think I have. He is actually part of a spirit Zukka au where Sokka embodies La and Zuko embodies Agni. Á la, they meet every morning and evening when the sun kisses the horizonline on the ocean :) I actually have a WIP for that hah
Tumblr media
Aesthetically, La!Sokka's colour and the movement of the water in his body { which he manipulates much like the spiritmonster we see aiding Aang in the nwt invasion } moves depending on his mood. Dark and stormy when he is angry, calm, blue babbling brooks and crystal clear azure oceans when he's happy.
The how and why of his and Zuko's becoming La and Agni I'm still not 100% sure of, but I'm playing with the idea of their spirit forms taking on the appearance they had when they MET their spirit counterparts { Sokka with La when Yue died and Zuko with the dragons }, but their becoming one with them, being immortalized, after their human deaths.
There's also the option of Sokka dying during the the Northern water tribe invasion, and La saving his life, which Sokka accepts because Yue makes him, and he's got an avatar to help, but after the war, he returns La's gift and becomes one with him :) (Zuko isn't a spirit in this one heheh)
Also, even AS a spirit, Sokka maintains that all that spirit stuff is hooey balony and it's all extremely overstated, don't mind his body literally evaporating he just does that when people are starting to annoy him, no biggie

What kind of man loves like this
Part three of the Crosshair × you series
Rating: Explicit
Wordcount: 2.8k
Summary:
You are in an established relationship with Crosshair, spending your free time on Pabu together. It’s the night of the annual ocean festival and you convince Crosshair to join the rest of the crew to celebrate together. You all enjoy a wholesome evening together and when thing get heated up Crosshair takes you to the beach.
Notes:
This is a continuation of the “Say my name” fic but you don’t need the context to enjoy this. After the latest episode of TBB I really wanted to give them some time on Pabu together, so there is a lot of fluff with the whole Batch but of course we can’t go without some nice smut with our man Crosshair(fingering/unprotected sex). He is very possessive and jealous in this story. Hope you like it.
Tumblr media
Tonight the whole crew is back on Pabu and you're preparing for the annual ocean festivities. Crosshair, initially hesitant about attending, is swayed by the sight of you in the typical festival attire, a sheer blue linen dress that accentuates your curves and mirrors the ocean's waves, barefoot and a silvery pearl bracelet around your ankle. "You look stunning," Crosshair murmurs, his eyes lingering hungrily on you as you twirl before him, showcasing every angle of the outfit. “But you know I can easily rip that beautiful dress off of you and make you stay home” he offers. A playful smirk graces your lips as you respond, "Thanks, but you're not getting out of this so easily. You promised Omega we'd go." Crosshair sighs in resignation but offers a small smile. "Alright, but I'm not dressing up," he declares firmly, the dismissive glint in his eyes underlining he's absolutely against the idea. After a bit of persuasion you can at least convince him to leave his armor at home and the two of you finally get on your way to join the crew at the beach to partake in the festivities.
Crosshair dressed himself very basic like always but you can’t take your eyes off of him, the sleek black shirt tightly stretched over his slender yet toned body makes you almost regret that you didn’t take his offer to stay home with him. But you soon get distracted as Omega is running towards you, happy that you finally arrived. “Come on, Crosshair, it'll be fun," she says and together with the crew, you gather at the beach to witness the solemn ceremony, where offerings of fruits, flowers and candy are reverently cast into the sea. Hunter, playfully hoisting Omega onto his shoulders, ensures she has an unobstructed view of the proceedings. "Look Omega, the fruits and candy are for the sea spirits," Hunter explains, his voice filled with excitement as he gestures towards the ocean. Omega's eyes widen in wonder as she takes in the scene, her enthusiasm contagious as she bounces on Hunter's shoulders. "Wow, can we also get some of that candy later?" she asks eagerly, her gaze darting between the crew members. “Oh yeah, I want some too” Wrecker replies with excitement.
As the ceremony comes to and end and everyone makes their way up to the fair, the narrow streets and alleys become alive with bustling activity, adorned with twinkling lights and resonating with the lively strains of music. The scent of delicious food and sweets fills the air, enticing your senses as you navigate through the crowd with the crew. "Look, Omega, there's the juice stand!" you exclaim, pointing towards a bustling stall where various exotic drinks are being served. Omega's eyes light up with excitement as she clings to Hunter's shoulders, her enthusiasm contagious as she eagerly scans the assortment of beverages. "Can we get one?" she asks eagerly, her gaze darting between you and Crosshair. "Of course," you reply with a grin, leading the way towards the stall as the crew follows closely behind.
Amidst the throngs of festival-goers, you draw intrigued gazes, the unfamiliar sight of a Twi'lek capturing the attention of many. However, you pay little heed to the stares, focusing instead on the joyous atmosphere surrounding you. There are many places in the Galaxy that have never seen a Twi’lek and you got used to the looks you get when you arrive somewhere new. Finally, finding a free table where you can all sit together, the crew settles in to watch the festivities unfold and Omega runs off with Echo to get some candy that is only made on this particular day. Despite Crosshair's occasional death stares at the men that look at you too long for his taste, the evening is filled with laughter and camaraderie.
But after one guy winked at you and another one extended an invitation for a dance, he is almost loosing it and his grip tightens around you, pulling you onto his lap to make sure everyone knows you’re with him. "Jealous?" you tease him, leaning back against his chest as you revel in his protective embrace. Crosshair's lips brush against your ear, his voice low and husky as he murmurs, "Enjoying the attention, sweetheart?" You chuckle softly, the sound mingling with the rhythmic beats of the music. "Maybe a little," you taunt him on purpose, trying to push him a little further. Hunter, who's been observing the exchange with keen interest, can't help but interject with a playful quip. "Don't worry, Cross, not even I could steal her from you," he remarks, a knowing smirk playing at his lips. Wrecker, meanwhile, looks on between the three of you with a puzzled expression, completely oblivious to the dynamics at play. "What's going on here, heh?" he asks, furrowing his brow in confusion. Crosshair's steely gaze fixes on Hunter, a silent warning conveyed in the intensity of his stare. "Nothing you need to worry about, Wrecker," he replies tersely, his attention returning to you with a possessive gleam in his eyes. A mischievous smile graces your lips as you continue to tease Crosshair, relishing in the subtle power play between the two of you. "I like it when you're jealous," you murmur, your voice laced with a hint of seduction. "It's hot." Crosshair's jaw clenches visibly, his possessive instincts flaring at the thought of anyone else daring to lay eyes on you. "I'm not jealous," he retorts, though the tension in his voice betrays his true feelings. "I just don't like the way they look at you in that dress." As you shift in his lap, the unmistakable hardness of his growing arousal presses against your thigh, almost eliciting a soft gasp from your lips. "Careful," he warns, his breath hot against your ear. "Or do you want me to show them who you belong to, right here?" You can feel the heat pooling between your thighs at his suggestive words, a shiver of anticipation coursing through your body as you meet his gaze with equal parts desire and defiance. "Maybe I do," you tease, your voice a sultry whisper as you lean in closer to kiss him, the tantalizing prospect of a public display of dominance igniting a fiery passion between you.
“Excuse us for a moment” he snarls towards his brothers and without waiting for an answer, he gets up sweeping you with him. You follow him eagerly, the music and laughter fade into the background, curiosity mingling with anticipation as you ask, "Where are you taking me?" …"Somewhere away from the gazes, where you are all mine," he murmurs, his voice low and husky with desire. The two of you descend down to the beach, the salty breeze caressing your skin as the sound of the waves grow louder with each step. Crosshair leads you to a secluded cove nestled amidst the moonlit rocks, hidden from prying eyes, the air heavy with the salty scent of the ocean. As soon as you're out of view, Crosshair pulls you into a passionate kiss, his hunger evident in the way his hands roam beneath your dress, igniting a firestorm of desire within you. Without hesitation, he slips his hand into your panties, his fingers expertly tracing along your wet folds, immediately coaxing moans of pleasure from your lips.
Your senses reel as you kiss his neck, tasting the salt on his skin as he slides two fingers into you, sending waves of pleasure coursing through your body. It doesn't take long for him to bring you to the brink of ecstasy, leaving you whimpering for more with his skillful touch. "Tell me how bad you want me," he whispers, his voice thick with desire. "I want you to beg for it." Your breath catches in your throat as you gaze into his eyes, the intensity of his stare fueling the flames of your desire. "Please, Crosshair," you whimper, your voice a desperate plea. "I need you. I need you to fuck me." A wicked grin spreads across his lips as he lifts you off your feet and positions you atop a small boulder, his throbbing cock teasing your entrance, driving you to the brink of madness with desire. "I don't hear you begging," he taunts, his voice laced with a teasing edge. You arch your back, your body trembling with anticipation as you plead, "Please fuck me, Crosshair. I need you inside of me." You feel the tip of his cock opening you up but he doesn’t move further. “Pleeeease”you beg. "Who do you belong to?" he demands, his voice commanding and possessive. "I'm yours," you cry out, your voice echoing in the stillness of the night. "I'm all yours." You can feel the heat radiating from his body, his desire burning as he finally guides his throbbing cock to your slick entrance and with a slow, deliberate thrust, he enters you, the sensation of his thick length stretching you to your limits sending waves of pleasure coursing through your body. You gasp in ecstasy as he fills you completely, every inch of him sliding deeper and deeper until he's buried to the hilt. His movements are measured and deliberate, each thrust driving you to the brink of madness as he sets a tantalizing rhythm that leaves you begging for more. With each stroke, he plunges into you with a primal hunger, his hips snapping against yours in a relentless tempo that leaves you breathless. You arch your back, your nails digging into his skin as you meet his every thrust with a desperate urgency of your own. The heat between you grows with each passing moment, the intensity of your connection igniting a wildfire of passion that consumes you both. Crosshair's eyes never leave yours, his gaze burning with raw desire as he loses himself in the primal ecstasy of your lovemaking. With every stroke, he drives you closer and closer to the edge, his cock plunging into you with an almost brutal force that pushes you to the brink of ecstasy. And then, in a dizzying explosion of pleasure, you shatter into a million pieces, your cries mingling with his own as you surrender to the overwhelming bliss of the moment and feel him filling you up with his hot cum. Together, you ride the waves of ecstasy, lost in the intoxicating rhythm of your bodies moving as one.
You collapse into each other's arms, your bodies slick with sweat as you bask in the afterglow of your shared release. You stay exactly like this, kissing his neck and taking in his scent until his cock softens and slides out of you. "Please, never leave me," Crosshair whispers, his voice filled with vulnerability as he holds you close. "You make me feel things I never knew I could."…."I won't," you promise, your heart swelling with love for this man "I love you, Crosshair. I'm all yours.” He murmurs content with your answer, sealing your words with a tender kiss. "As much as I hate it but we should probably head back to the others," he suggests after a while, breaking the tranquil silence that envelops the secluded cove. You can't help but smirk mischievously as you glance down at the telltale evidence of your recent escapade, the faint trail of his cum oozing out of you between your legs glistening in the moonlight. "Like this?" you tease, gesturing playfully to the sticky residue on your skin. Crosshair chuckles in response, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "At least now they'll know you're mine," he quips, his tone laced with possessive affection. Without waiting for a response, you swiftly shed your dress and dart towards the ocean, signaling for him to join you. "Are you sure about this?" Crosshair hesitates for a moment, his gaze fixed on your inviting form, before casting off his clothes and wading into the water beside you. The moonlight casts a soft glow over your naked bodies as you bask in the warm waves, the salty ocean breeze caressing your skin, heightening the intensity of your connection. Lost in the moment, you exchange tender kisses amidst the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea. In between the sound of the crashing waves he softly murmurs “I love you” into your ear, before placing a kiss on your forehead, so quiet you might have missed it, but you didn’t and you pull him as close as you can, nestling your head against his neck. But as much as you revel in this private paradise, the thought of your companions waiting pulls you back to reality. With a reluctant sigh, you disentangle yourself from Crosshair's embrace and wade out of the water, casting one final glance at his silhouette, naked and beautifully bathed in the moon's ethereal glow before you get dressed.
Your legs tremble slightly with residual pleasure as you navigate the narrow streets upwards back to the bustling fair. Crosshair's sweet words of affection echoing in your ears, painting a wide smile on your face. As you return to the group, their curious gazes turn towards you, prompting Omega to pipe up with her usual curiosity. "Did you go swimming?" she asks, her eyes wide with excitement. "I thought Crosshair didn't like swimming." You grin mischievously, nodding in confirmation. "Looks like he changed his mind," you reply with a playful wink, earning a warning glance from Crosshair. Despite the dismissive look he sends Hunter's way, you gladly accept the cape offered by Hunter, wrapping it snugly around yourself to ward off the chill that has settled in your bones after the swim. With the night still young and the festivities far from over, you all decide to take a leisurely stroll around the fairgrounds, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling festival. “Can you believe how much candy that kid can pack away?" Wrecker chuckles, his deep voice carrying through the night as Omega bounces along beside him, her eyes shining with excitement. "Yeah, she's definitely going to crash hard later," you reply with a laugh, Omega, fueled by the sugar rush from her third bag of candies, runs around happily, her laughter echoing through the night air. The moment you set foot on Pabu, you knew there was something special about this place. Its tranquil beaches, bustling markets, and vibrant culture captured your heart from the very beginning. And now, as you wander through the streets with your friends and fellow crew mates, you can't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over you. Spending time here with the entire crew is a rare treat, a precious opportunity to forget about the harsh realities of the outside world and simply enjoy each other's company. Here, on the sandy shores of Pabu, you can all let your guard down and revel in the simple pleasures of life. But perhaps the most beautiful part of it all is seeing Omega's eyes light up with joy and wonder at the sights and sounds of the festival. Here, she can be a child for a moment, free to laugh and play without a care in the world. And for that, you are endlessly grateful.
But even Omega has her limits, and soon she begins to tire, her steps slowing as exhaustion sets in. With a weary sigh, Wrecker scoops her up into his arms, cradling her gently as she drifts off to sleep, her breathing steady and calm against his chest. “Alright, let’s call it a night” Hunter suggests and you all agree. With Wrecker carrying Omega and you wrapped in Crosshair's arm, you walk together in comfortable silence, the warmth of his embrace cosy against the cool night air. As you reach your apartment, you bid farewell to the crew, promising to see them bright and early the next day. Omega, awake again and ever the optimist, insists that Crosshair accompanies her for a swim in the morning, a request that leaves Hunter thoroughly amused and with a chuckle, you and Crosshair make your way inside, the soft glow of the apartment welcoming you home. “I’m not gonna like it” he sighs after the door has closed behind you. “You don’t like anything” you remind him. “I like you” he objects, pulling you in for a loving kiss.

Can I talk about Avatar for a second?? Lemme talk about ATLA/ALoK for a second.
Like, so, I have many, many...many....grievances and hangups about A:LoK. I have tried to watch it twice, and while the first season is okay, the second season made me so mad that I dropped it. Twice. I have not watched the third season or got to see Gays In Action in 4k, because I was that disappointed.
I remember a hell of a lot about ATLA...but I can barely remember anything about Korra. That’s mostly due to my disappointment, but the fact remains that I barely remember the show, after watching it twice, and it’s the latest installment. That being said, I remember one thing that stuck out to me most....
Vaatu.
I am so, SO disappointed that they really just!! Made up this AMAZING concept of an Avatar counter-spirit, and they were just like!! “Oh yeah, his concepts are chaos and darkness, he’s EVIL, dudes.”
The one thing in the world that could possibly rival one as strong as the Avatar, would have been Another Avatar. They could’ve done something amazing with that!! They could finally have a balancing act!! A great leadup to this bigger enemy, with a twist at the end - like how ATLA did it with Ozai, with Aang refusing to kill him and instead taking away his bending!! The outcome wasn’t expected, but it still led to the same ending, with a better meaning behind it because it didn’t force Aang outside of his boundaries!! But...LoK didn’t have that. It was “Here’s this sketchy guy, we all Know he’s sketchy, but LOOK, THE TWIST IS THAT HE’S SKETCHY!! BUT ON A MORE EXTREME LEVEL!! Haha!!”
The only thing that LoK managed to twist was the lore of the world, by expanding on the Avatar, how it came to be, and by introducing a spirit of EQUAL POWER to the Avatar. I love Wan’s and Raava’s story, that isn’t my problem with this twist. My problem lies in the fact that Vaatu was merely made to be the Evil Avatar Spirit, in a world where balance and equality mean everything. I think Vaatu being the spirit of Chaos and Darkness would’ve been so cool to explore, if the creators had time to explore him - because Chaos and Darkness aren’t evil, they’re nature. What is morality anyway to a spirit?? Why make an Evil Spirit?? Why not explore WHY Vaatu is the way he is rather than say he just is??
Does that mean that Tui and La are merely good and evil, then?? They’re supposed to represent Yin and Yang, quite literally. Is Tui, the moon, evil simply because they can only thrive in the darkness?? Is La evil, because the sea is unrestrained and takes innocent lives, being a chaotic force?? Shouldn’t Tui and La be CLOSE, or at least GRATEFUL to Vaatu for giving them the darkness they need to remain balanced?? I don’t know too much else about the spirit gods in Avatar, so idk if there’s a Spirit of the Night, but my point still stands - the moon can’t prosper without darkness, and the ocean needs the moon. How can that be constrained to an idea as simple as “evil”??
Was La in the wrong or the in the right for destroying those fire nation ships, for taking control of Aang, for taking Zuko’s crew away from him after their other half died??
I just think that the world of ATLA/ALoK would have been so much better if Vaatu wasn’t just...Evil Bad Guy Spirit. The balancing act would’ve been restored if there are two Avatars (and Raava should be seen as something that can become Too Much - too much light, too much serenity/complacency, too much order means that there’s no room for self-identity, chance, risk, and the ability to look inward. If Raava can go too far, but be held back by their Avatar, then why can’t the same be held for Vaatu??). For a world that says that balance and equality is the true guide to peace, it seems really, really desperate to keep only one Avatar.
Vaatu would have been an excellent twist, if he just wasn’t so one-sided, and if it was anyone else but goddamn Unalaq.
That being said, I think Tui, La, and Vaatu (and maybe Wan Shi Tong, that giant Owl bitch) would’ve been/should be Ride or Die.

“Do I deserve any of this?” — Armin asked quietly.
He kept his gaze straight outward to the sea. Way back when it mattered, the idea of seeing the ocean was just a distant dream, and so was life in between everything else up until this moment.
The Rumbling had ended a little over a decade ago. The dust from that period of everyone’s lives had settled. The world was wider now, which left an infinite amount of room for change and growth and opportunity. Even though, Armin’s life was accustomed to tragedy, he had a fair share of important milestones since then.
His greatest accomplishment wasn’t stopping the Rumbling, or becoming an ambassador of his home country. The crown jewels of his life were his four children. They were all close in age and similar in appearance, each of them taking a couple of slices from their father and mother respectively.
Armin had accepted that he had done about a million and one things wrong in his life, and he accepted that he’d pay the price for it once he was dead and gone. He couldn’t get rid of the underlying feeling that he did not deserve the slightest thing he had acquired in his present life. How could he possibly be able to heal, when his actions are the reason why some never got closure? In what way did he have any right to go on and create lives when he had taken so many away? How was someone like him worthy of being a father and a husband?
“Armin,” A touch of his hand brought him out of his thoughts. He looked down at the beautifully manicured hand that sent sparks to his skin. The kindest woman in the world had the misfortune of being Armin’s wife.
There was a long pause, silence falling all across the beach apart from the sound of sloshing waves and kids laughing. Armin noticed she had worn her wedding ring to the beach. The oval Amethyst center and silver band suited her, just like Armin thought it would.
“Look at your children” She said, darting her eyes in their direction.
Together they made three girls and only one boy between the ages of five and eleven. Armin could remember where and what he was doing at their ages. When he was five, Armin remembered spending quality time with his grandfather and listening to his stories. A cycle he repeated with all of his children, but Clementine enjoyed his stories the most as she was still quite little.
When Armin was seven, like Thea, he could remember laying in the grass and rolling downhill with Eren to see who could roll the fastest. Owen was nine, the same age Armin was when Bertholdt and Reiner compromised the walls of Shiganshina. Dahlia was 11, only a year younger than Armin was when he joined the cadet corp.
“What do you see?” She tested him.
Armin blinked. They both sat back and watched them play without conflict or tears. The day was perfect. The sun provided the perfect amount of warmth and light, while the shade from the umbrella gave comforting and cool relief. The misty beach breeze salted Armin’s hair.
Armin sharpened his eyes on his children as they went about their fun, playing near the water. They were old enough to know better than to go too far, but still young enough to be kept under their parents protection. Dahlia, Thea, and Clementine gathered around Owen as he lay in the sand. They took turns filling their individual pales with sand and dumping it on top of him. Only Owen’s blonde head, that matched his father and sister, was all that showed from the mountain he was under.
“They are free!” She hushed.
The realization always had an impact on his spirit. Armin’s children never had to worry about if this day would be their last or where their next meal would come from and how they could make it last for the rest of the week. They had new clothes and shoes whenever their old ones became too small, toys and books. Above everything else, they never had to live in a world where titans where a threat.
Armin’s throat was tight with emotion, if he said anything at all then he might just crack. All he could manage was a flustered nod of his head. His heart swelled. It almost couldn’t take how despite everything he had done and the immeasurable amount of guilt he felt every day, nothing could wash away his pride for his family. He inhaled a deep breath of salty sea air to settle his nerves, and gently interlocked his fingers in with hers.
Her smile that stretched across her lips, that brought her cheeks high, never wavered at the sight of him. It put the sun and all the stars to shame. They smiled at each other, the atmosphere between them thick with unconditional love and the mutual fulfillment of breaking cycles and having their children be part of the first generation where titans were just a horrible memory to humanity.

I thought the moon spirit and the ocean spirit were gonna be Katara and Sokka, and that would’ve made ATLA even more interesting.
The spirits of the ocean and moon gave up their immortal forms to live on the earth. Why would they choose to be koi fish?
It would make much more sense for those spirits to take an avatar-like spirit form where they attach to different members of the Water Tribe. Always pushing and pulling at one another, of course the spirits would attach to a brother and sister.
Katara, being the water bender, would naturally be the moon spirit. Sokka would be the ocean spirit. But they had no idea.
So if they were the spirits instead of the koi fish, the story would’ve become much more layered.
And way darker.
When the Fire Nation invaded the Northern Water Tribe at the end of season 1, Admiral Zhao intended to kill the moon spirit. Let’s say somehow Zhao had figured out Katara was the moon spirit, and followed her north with Aang. So to kill the moon spirit, he would kill Katara.
After killing Katara, of course that would set off Aang’s avatar state and the water monster form.
Yue would still give up her life to bring back the moon, but she would be giving her life for Katara. This would absolutely destroy Sokka. First he loses his sister. Then the girl he loves gives her life for his sister.
After this, Sokka and Katara would simultaneously have a closer and more strained sibling bond. Sokka becomes even more protective to make sure he never loses Katara again. But he also resents her for being the reason he lost Yue. Katara would be wracked with guilt over this.
It becomes the source of tension between the two of them that builds throughout season 2 before coming to a head, where Sokka and Katara have a massive falling out. Katara says Sokka blames her for Yue’s death. Sokka admits it. They trade hurtful comments that cut deeper and deeper every time. While this is going down, they’re on a boat, and the waves surrounding them are getting more and more treacherous. They’re pushing and pulling at one another, just like the moon and sea. Then to save themselves, literally, they have to make amends to calm the sea around them.
It would’ve added so many more layers to their already complicated relationship.
It’s (to me) such an obvious choice to make Katara and Sokka the moon and ocean spirits, I feel like the writers HAD to have considered it! If they did, I get why they went a different direction. Having Katara die, even temporarily, never would’ve been allowed by Nickelodeon. ATLA is already pretty dark for a kid’s show.
If their target audience had been just a bit older, I truly think the writers could’ve run with that plotline.

𖦹 ˙₊ 𓇼 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐄 —𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐌 & 𝐋𝐎'𝐀𝐊 : where lo'ak finds the courage to commune with neteyam at the spirit tree for the first time.
Tumblr media
note: i haven't written anything in a really long time, i know i'm a little rusty and maybe this piece is absolute garbage, but i'm practicing to get better ! tysm for taking the time to read my work, it means a lot ❤︎ + wc 1.8k
Tumblr media
Almost two years had gone by since his brother's death. Almost two years since Lo'ak could not save him.
The Sully boy shifted in his slumber, his thoughts too dark, his heart too heavy to allow him to rest. Giving up on the idea of sleeping altogether, Lo'ak got up before sunrise, sneaking out of his pod, being careful not to startle his family. It would be best to not be there when they all woke up, anyway. He could not stand to be there with them, that day of all days.
After calling for his ilu, Lo'ak dived in the water without making a sound, a skill he had mastered with his time amongst the Metkayina.
Diving always helped pacifying his troubled mind. It made him forget about everything above the surface, concentrating only on his breathing, his surroundings, the flow of energy in and out of him — just like Tsireya had taught him. The boy was able to find peace within, even if only for a short while.
Finding Payakan was a rather easy task. Crossing the reefs to meet his spirit brother had become part of Lo'ak's routine by now. He had grown so used to the path that he did not need to think about where he was going, his ilu would simply take him there.
Payakan rejoiced at the sight of his brother, picking him up with his fin and bringing him closer.
He knew what that day meant to Lo'ak.
"I See you, brother", Was all that Payakan said.
"I See you", Lo'ak signed in response.
Neither of them said anything else, being together in silence was enough. The boy laid down on the tulkun's back, gazing at the stars, his mind lost else where.
Lo'ak did not know how long it had been since he left the village, or for how long he had laid in the dark ocean with his thoughts, all he knew was that the sun was already in the sky when she arrived.
She moved so gracefully in the water towards him. The bottom half of her face was hidden in the water, but he could tell by her eyes that she was smiling. Lo'ak knew that she was insecure about her smile, it was 'too full of teeth', according to her. He disagreed, actually, he could not think of a smile he'd rather see.
However, her pretty smile faded as soon as she saw the grim expression plastered on the Sully boy's face. She rushed to them, greeting Payakan before the tulkun helped her up his back, while Lo'ak sat up straight.
Yet, the boy's gaze was still lost in someplace else.
Tsireya did not speak immediately. She was not sure of what was going on, what pained him so much on that morning. Gently, she reached for his face. He sighed, his eyes fluttering shut as he leaned into her touch.
"Happy Birthday, Lo'ak", Tsireya wished, brushing her thumb across the omaticayan's cheek. "What is wrong?"
Lo'ak could feel his throat tighten as well as his eyes start to burn. He did not wish cry, especially not in front of Tsireya. He reached for her other hand, holding it close to his chest, which was growing heavy as breathing became more and more difficult. All he could think was that he did not deserve this, he did not deserve her, he did not deserve anything.
"Breath." At last, he looked at Tsireya, his eyes full of the tears he refused to shed. "Just breath."
"How did you know I was going to be here?", Lo'ak voiced his curiosity once he had gotten his breathing under control.
"Well, it was not hard to guess", That made him smile, only a little "Your family was looking for you. I thought I'd come here and catch you."
"Catch? Don't you mean fetch?" Lo'ak never missed the opportunity to tease her, it did not matter how somber his mood was.
"Tsk, I can catch and fetch you like fish if I want to!" Now Lo'ak was laughing wholeheartedly as he looked at his enfuriated girlfriend playfully trying to hit him and struggling with it.
He held her arms as she wiggled and laughed, trying to get away from his grip. Payakan shifted suddenly under them, making Tsireya almost slip into the water, but Lo'ak took hold of her before she could fall, bringing her into his arms again, her back resting against his chest. He could feel a part of the tension leave his body. It felt good to be able to just laugh and be silly with his girl.
Her tone was serious when she spoke again, after they had caught their breaths and their laughs had faded, enjoying a comfortable silence for a little while.
"Lo'ak, what is wrong? Today is a happy day, you are fifteen! You begin training for iknimaya, you earn your place with the people."
"Yes, and I'll help you through everything!" Payakan added, in an attempt to cheer the boy up.
Of course Lo'ak knew all that. Theoretically, he was fully grown now, and ready to start the many coming-of-age rituals of the Metkayina.
"I know, I know, guys. I'll get to bond with a tsurak, earn my first tattoo--"
"Exactly! Are you not excited? Oh, are you scared? That's okay-"
"No, it's not that" Lo'ak scoffed "It's not the iknimaya that scares me" He felt choked up again. He was grateful neither Tsireya nor Payakan could see his face. He pulled Tsireya closer, placing his chin on top of her shoulder, building up the courage to finally voice what had been afflicting him. "I'm scared of what this means, I'm scared of becoming-" He could feel tears running down his cheeks as he tried his best to push them back. "-of becoming older than my older brother."
"Oh, Lo'ak..." Payakan hurt for his spirit brother.
Now, that the words were finally out there, Lo'ak felt an empty feeling settle inside of him.
Tsireya turned to face him, her eyes full with tears as well. She cupped the boy's cheeks with her hands, pulling him closer till their foreheads met. Lo'ak weeped quietly, his tears landing softly on Tsireya's cheeks.
They stood like that for a while, eyes closed, breaths intertwined. Lo'ak thought about his family. Would they really like to celebrate his birthday, or would they be plagued by the same thoughts that he was? That his older brother would never reach full maturity, that he was taken from them too soon, that Lo'ak should have been gone, not him.
Tsireya took a finger to his chin, lifting Lo'ak's face, locking eyes with him. All she said was:
"Come with me."
. . .
Payakan swam with them nearly all the way, only stopping at the entrance of the Cove of the Ancestors. Then, it was best to go by ilu.
It took more very little convincing from Tsireya to Lo'ak agree to it. Communing with him for the first since it happened. It had been almost two years and he was not able to talk about the occurred, or even to say his name.
Of course, it was not the first time Tsireya, or a member of his family, attempted to take him there. Lo'ak was the only one who refused to go. After the funeral, his parents would meet their eldest son in the Spirit Tree nearly every day. Now, the visits were held every month with the entire family. Except for Lo'ak.
But today was different. More than ever, Lo'ak felt the need of his older brother's guidance.
Tsireya was there with him, something he was very grateful for. She demonstrated how to do it, Lo'ak followed her lead, taking his queue and connecting it to one of the strange seaweed-like leaves of the Spirit Tree.
"Stay calm.", she signed to him underwater, and so he did.
He slowed his own heartbeat, calming himself down, before closing his eyes.
Lo'ak woke up in the forest that was once his home. Everything was so familiar to him still, the sound of the animals, of waterfalls, of footsteps-
His footsteps.
"Lo'ak! I'm back with the kit-"
Just like that, there he was, a younger version of him, but still his brother, nonetheless. Not in his mind tormenting his thoughts, nor in his nightmares, where Lo'ak witnessed his death over and over again, unable to save him.
He was right there.
Neteyam.
Neteyam kneeled beside his younger brother, who finally took a proper look at himself. He felt smaller, sitting on the grass floor of the forest, with his old clothes on. His face was wet with tears from a stinging pain on his leg. Lo'ak was slowly getting it. It was a memory.
"-I told you not to climb that damn tree without me, skxawng."
"I know, I'm sorry." Lo'ak could only giggle at Neteyam's lecturing. God, he had missed it. He remembered it now, climbing that tall tree after his brother cautioned him about it. He remembered falling, scraping his knee, Neteyam rushing to get a first aid kit without anyone noticing, not wanting for Lo'ak to get in trouble by getting their parents involved.
"It's okay, baby bro, I'm going to get you all patched up" Neteyam started gently cleaning his brother's knee with a gaze. He already acted with such responsibility for his early age, a true son of toruk makto. The son Lo'ak never was. "C'mon, bro, stop crying, it's just a scraped knee"
"Sorry, it just- it hurts so much, Neteyam" Lo'ak was not talking about his knee, but his brother did not know.
"I know, Lo'ak, but all wounds heal with time" He said without taking his eyes off of Lo'ak's knee, too concentrated in applying the medicine, then a cotton patch.
"All wounds?" Lo'ak's words were filled with hope as he looked up at his older brother. Hope for the reassurance he so desperately needed.
He just needed to hear from his big brother that everything was going to be alright. One last time.
"Of course! Sure, it hurts now and, shit, it's going to sting for a couple of days but, soon enough, the pain will go away."
"You promise?"
"Yes, brother! Now, c'mon, dad said he would take us hunting today!"
"I remember that!" Lo'ak chuckled between hiccups as the memory came back to him. Riding with his father and brother on ikran, hunting and camping together. At night, their father shared tales of his old life back on earth by a campfire. Lo'ak remembered thinking that was a perfect day.
The eldest Sully boy helped his brother up, making sure he could stand on his own before letting go of him.
Lo'ak's crying had fully ceased at that point, his heart felt as light as it did when he was a little kid, a heart that knew nothing of war, loss or guilt.
"You should go ahead, Neteyam, get our stuff ready. I'll be there soon."
"Alright, baby bro, I'll be waiting for you." Neteyam smiled back at him before disappearing into the forest.
"'Til I see you again, big brother."

Got a few more requests done! So please, enjoy!
The request: “ Hello, I hope you're having a good day/night! May I request a cute Cal Kestis x Reader fic where they talk about their time as padawans? Maybe they found each other again after all this time. :) “
____
„What planets do you still want to visit?”
Cal turned toward you, his fellow Padawan, as your eyes were still focused on the starry sky above you. Peaceful evenings on a desolate moon like this, where you could just lie in a field somewhere and watch the galactic display above you were rare and you always tried to make the best of them.
The two of you had become apprentices during the war, your Jedi path thus vastly different from the one walked by your Masters.
“I don’t know.”, Cal replied honestly to your question. “I think I’d also be happy serving on Coruscant.”
You pulled a face at the admission, your adventurous spirit revolting at the idea of staying in one place. But just because it wasn’t to your liking, it didn’t mean that it wouldn’t suit Cal. The calmer and more spiritual of you two, life at the temple was probably exactly what would make him happy.
“I can see you becoming a teacher… or even as part of the Council one day.”, you mused, your eyes following a shooting star across the dark firmament.
“And what about you?”, Cal asked, clearly curious.
“I’m going to explore the galaxy.”, you announced, lips spreading into a smile. “I wanna travel the Outer-Rim and help those in need. Maybe I’ll even go into uncharted territory to see what’s out there.”
Cal chuckled. “Sounds just like you.”
This time you turned, directing your smile at your childhood friend. “But I’ll come and visit you at the Temple, of course. And bring back souvenirs.”, you promised, realizing that a life completely apart just wouldn’t do.
The entire evening was filled with dreams, what-ifs and adventurous plans for your futures. All of which would never come to fruition….
10 years later
“I can’t believe you visited so many places…”
Cal turned toward you, his fellow survivor, as your eyes were focused on the starry sky above you. Such moments were rare amidst the war against the Empire and this was the first time you had the chance to lie on a field on a peaceful planet such as Koboh.
“And I can’t believe you were on Coruscant all this time.”, he replied, noticing the irony in that. You had met by pure accident and hadn’t left each other’s side since.
“I figured I’d hide where they’d least expect a Jedi to be.”, you shrugged. The underworld of the city planet was huge, offering plenty of refuge to those who knew how to navigate it.
“Tell me more about Dathomir… And Bogano… They sound fascinating.”
Cal made himself more comfortable by folding his hands under his head, trying to figure out where to begin. There was so much to tell, both places being vastly different from each other. Meanwhile you had turned to your side, looking at him expectantly.
“You know, I think I’ll just show you.”, the redhead finally decided, making you blink.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes, why not? We deserve a break after that last mission. And I’m sure you will enjoy Bogano.”
The ravenous landscape, the cute fluffy Boglings and the impressive structure of the ancient temple sounded like just the kind of things that would earn him one of those smiles and laughs he loved so much.
“And what about Dathomir?”
“I’ll ask Merrin if she knows some nice places… Don’t expect an ocean vista or anything though.”
You chuckled as you already envisioned the Nightsister’s face at being asked to play tourguide.
“What about after the war?”
Your question had Cal turning toward you, trying to read your expression.
“What about it?”
“What do you wanna do?”
Cal fell silent. He hadn’t thought that far ahead. After the purge, he didn’t dare to dream anymore like he had as a young Padawan. Noticing that he wasn’t about to say anything, you gathered all your courage to speak yourself.
“I thought we could settle down somewhere… You and I… somewhere quiet and peaceful.”
Cal’s eyes went wide, lips parting in surprise. Settling down? You? With him? Suddenly an image appeared in his head. A small home, a garden, the two of you sitting on a bench with BD-1 running after a little red-haired child….
Realizing that he still owed you a reply, Cal smiled, one of his hands reaching out for yours. “I’d like that.”, he said. “But are you sure? What about your exploration plans?”
“I think we will do quite a bit of traveling before all this is done… Besides, I want to enjoy growing old with you, Cal. And settling down sounds perfect.”
It did to him as well. As long as it was with you.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!! IM NOT SURE IF YOUR REQS ARE STILL OPEN OR NOT, IF NOT, PLEASE IGNORE THIS!
its been like 2 or 3 days since i found your account and your fanfics and they are just perfect like they r literally the defination of perfect
and since i love reading ur fanfics, i wanted to ask if it was possible for you to write a gun x goo fanfic where they both realize that they slowly fall in love to each other, but they r too scared to admit it.. just idiots in love, yk. you write them so good and im here for it hehe.
love you, take care of urself<33
Oof Gun x Goo? Gotta admit, I love this pairing. Thank you so much for reading anon and getting back to your ask like... 8 weeks later (maybe 8 weeks of MORE reading heh). 🫶 Take care too!
Gun Park x Goo Kim: Equals
Tumblr media
What happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force? Two lives fated to entwine for better or worse? Not souls to be saved but dragging each other to depths of depravity and then some.
Gun's ears pricked when he heard the name from Charles Choi. A weapons prodigy, someone meant to be his equal.
And on their first meeting, all Goo could say at first glance was 'woah' to the man standing before him. A legend built through rumours of ferocity and power on the grapevine.
What better way is there to prove everything than with a test of strength?
It didn't take long for them to bring out the brutality in one another. A bloody battle resulting in no clear winner but perfectly matched equals, lasting scars and permanent steel pins.
The beginning of a partnership.
.
.
An object of mutual hatred speeds up their bonding.
Mr. Carpenter. Tom Lee. Someone who tests the limits of their patience and what they are willing to do to achieve their goals.
Day after day, both put through their paces until their bodies are beaten and spirits almost broken.
Gun is the first one to offer a helping hand. A truce. Held in his palm a healing balm developed by the Yamazaki clan to ease the muscles and numb the agony.
It's not much. Though it means at least Goo can go to sleep instead of lying awake, brain kept sharp from his body and limbs pulsing with pain.
Goo calls him a bastard and takes it.
.
.
Opposites in so many ways yet different sides of the exact same coin.
Forced to spend minutes, hours, days, in one another's company. Until they know each other's habits like their own. Know every single button to press. Can predict the next words out of the other's mouth. The time together, the company becoming as natural as breathing.
It was Goo's idea.
After the training, after they both started working formally for HNH.
Cabin fever building from seeing each other day in day out. Partners during business hours, sharing a home during the rest.
Why not prove dominance in other ways Goo had suggested, thinking there is no way Gun Park would say yes to this.
But when all the constant fights only lead to dead ends, what else is there to do? Why not chase a little pleasure with the pain too.
Gun agrees.
It doesn't mean anything. Why would it? It's a means to an end (though the victor is never decided) and a way to fulfil a human need.
.
.
The first inkling of something blossoming is thanks to Sinu Han.
The Boss of Big Deal breaking Goo's glasses and him sulking all the way home.
After listening to his incessant whining for what feels like hours, Gun takes a detour; pulling up straight outside an optometrist and marching the blonde in.
He even pays the bill.
"Aww," Goo places the black frames on and Gun has to admit that his broken ones, the gold pair, never did him enough justice, "A gift for your boyfriend. How kind."
.
.
Little adventures together add up. Nights in a bathhouse. Natural springs. Sailing vast oceans. Drifting under the open sky.
Training and eating and fighting. Against each other or back to back, Gun looking out for Goo and Goo looking out for Gun.
Honing their skills, unknowingly, to fight with a very specific partner by their side.
Hours upon hours upon hours together.
Sunlight following as they drive along highways, experiencing the highs of summer and lows of winter and everything in between.
Moonlight illuminating dark corners in shady warehouses; casting a glow on all the skin torn open with violence and blood they have spilled.
It's a twisted sort of romance. One that would never be remembered as any great love story but fitting for demons that have never known anything else.
.
.
Karaoke in Ansan is never part of the plan.
(Neither was falling into bed together.)
Completely destroying the place and crew was but not the staying behind, surrounded by broken bodies and singing.
Goo pouts and frowns so much that Gun, even with the vein throbbing on his neck, acquiesce.
And when Gun suggested they make a move back to Seoul soon, and Goo scowled even more, saying he's having fun?
Fine. They stay for another song.
Which turns into 3, into 5, into the whole night.
Gun never gives in to the duet Goo asks for. He considers that a small win.
.
.
Goo is not familar with jealousy. Simply put, he’s an attention seeker. Loves the limelight, seeks it out and demands all eyes on him.
When Gun first started obsessing over Daniel Park, it doesn't affect him. Not really.
But when they're together, Gun is still distracted. Well, that's when it irks him.
On seeing Gun's broken arm, Goo laughed himself silly. It's what that bastard deserves.
Daniel Park should have broken his other one. Maybe snapped a leg too and his neck.
Goo continues to laugh even when he holds up Gun's phone for him.
Even when he knots that asshole's tie.
Even when he follows him to check ups and appointments.
Goo laughs especially hard when he offers to feed him and receives a dirty look in return.
It's only half a joke.
.
.
Everyone knows of their fights, the way they constantly butt heads and gripe at each other.
What no-one else sees are the moments of tenderness. That neither realise they are capable of giving and also could accept.
Goo, one that always prefers to run his mouth, stays quiet. Sitting in the gloom with Gun whenever a successor doesn't work out.
Eagerly takes the brunt of Gun's frustrations with his back arched and whimpers falling from his lips.
Then when finally, the storm passes, Goo is still there. Full of smart quips and sassy remarks until Gun cracks. A smirk, a tiny thing.
But it's there.
.
.
Debt is repaid and so is kindness, though no one is keeping count.
And neither would admit that it's kindness.
The night Goo returns home, shovel in hand after the run in with Charles Choi and Tom Lee, Gun is the one that offers to fight Tom Lee together.
Goo doesn't know how serious he is. Nevertheless the idea makes him cackle. Maybe they would win, maybe they would die together.
It’s kind of poetic, in a way.
In the morning, he wakes with Gun curled around his back and an arm flung over his waist.
.
.
Cards are still held close to their chest; Gun and Goo both keep their secrets. They're at each other's throat as much as they're on each other's lips.
It's an unconventional relationship that would likely doom anyone else but for them, it works.
They never tell one another how they feel, they don't have to. It's not in their nature to say I love you, anyway. Their actions speak for themselves.
.
.
Gun watches his partner, his equal, driving. Humming along to a pop song, windows down and breeze fanning his hair.
It really is strange how they have managed to slot all their broken edges together.
How the line has blurred and turned fuzzy, yet now he can't recall if there was a line in the first place.
Goo, feeling Gun's eyes on him, looks over and snorts when he sees his expression. It's become soft, softer still with each passing day. He would make fun but sometimes he catches himself wearing the same one.
And. Well, he doesn't want to be a hypocrite. Not with this.
Goo grins, wide and a little wild, "We have fun, don't we?"
Gun barely even needs to think about his answer.
"Of course."

So I'm still obsessed with spirit designs for mob psycho 100 characters. It has not ended...SO come along with me as I continue on this adventure.
I wrote out my initial thoughts here: https://www.tumblr.com/ygodmyy20/739079912539996160/this-week-is-hard-mode-emotionally-so-were-gonna?source=share
And you can see the cute chibi versions of Teru and Shigeo here https://www.tumblr.com/ygodmyy20/739362691235315712/spirit-cuddles?source=share
Below the cut are closeups and more of my descriptions!
Shigeo
The most defined out of all the designs as if you look at my initial post, I take a lot of inspiration from @sodasexual but I diverged a bit in some things I liked more like the design of his tail and feet
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like the idea that his whole body is just a galaxy of ever changing stars. He and Ritsu have aquatic qualities to them but you can see Ritsu is MUCH more...well, fish like haha Shigeo is this mixture of aquatic and kinda cat-like. I like his hair being like ???% hair. Where it is a little wavy.
He has fins coming off his body that come off at different spots. Still figuring them out. But the direction I want to go in is they are kinda like axolotl fins.
When he gets upset his color changes to a deep purple and blue and when he is happy it is a bright pink. It is similar to how I imagine his aura reacts to his emotions. If he is VERY upset he will be black, with only specks of red, and you barely will be able to see the white of his eyes. Very very similar to ???%
When Shigeo gains more power (similar to Teru) his form grows and changes. I haven’t gotten the details in my head quite yet but more appendages, larger body, more fins, his “hair” grows and changes. As we fondly say he looks a touch more eldritch in nature. His increased power form may look slightly more terrifying but he’s the same old lil guy, just in a massive spirit form.
(Also does Teru love Shigeos spirit form even when it’s eldritch and full of stars and galaxies and black holes? Um yes of course hahah he adores it. Also yes we terumob here not sure if that was….clear hahaha now it is)
Teru
Teru is my beautiful feathery seraphim!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
look at his lil face!!
Teru's form can grown into a much more biblical-looking angel if he gains power, but his default is this light and nimble feathered spirit. Lots of his design takes from the elemental look of fire. In future I want lightening to make more of an appearance but I am just sticking with fire for now.
Teru is covered in feathers, and has at least 3 pairs of large ones down his back. He also has two little tufts where his ears would be. His color is also ever changing. He can blend from oranges to yellows to whites and even turquoise and purples. But his base color is oranges and yellows.
(And yes Shigeo also loves Terus spirit form, when he finally saw it for the first time he knew it was perfect!)
Ritsu
Tumblr media
So far Ritsu matches a lot of Shigeo's general look and feel but he is more green in color, like an ocean, and he has a sharpness to him around his form. His tail is dark and sharp, and his entire body when upset will bristle and become sharp like a cactus.
Ritsu is not all sharp though. His hair is wavy kinda like seaweed. Taking his current longer hair in canon and just making it longer and more wavvy.
So yeah. That's where I have gotten to!! Thanks for joining me on this fun journey. I'll keep playing with these spirit designs and evolving them - you haven't seen the last of 'em!

Note
No offense but I dislike this lion turtle machina because it's pretty obvious the writers wrote themselves into a corner. To me it felt like original plan was for Aang to bite the bullet but they couldn't get it past the censors and they were running out of time so they had Aang basically sleepwalk his way to victory via lion turtle energy bending nonsense out of nowhere.
A few things here. 1. As people have pointed out, killing in the atla world is something that kinda has to be explicit. People (including the gaang) survive falling from great heights, crashing into things, getting hammered by rock going a hundred miles per hour. There are so many scenes that absolutely should have been the death of a character, but atla characters are very hardy. Atla kinda sets up that, in order to kill someone, it has to be done with intentionality. (Zhao trying to assasinate Zuko, Katara and the sr captain, Long Feng and Jet, so on). Unless a character is trying to kill, it's established that the person will probably survive bc atla people are just extremely hardy. By our world logic, yeah, Aang would have killed hundreds. By the atla logic where people can be buried under rock and come out fine, Aang has not killed.
2. Aang during the desert was 100% about to rock some people's shit. That was the point, that losing Appa and the thought of Appa suffering was so upsetting it sent him into the avatar state, a state that he cannot control. This is actually one of the things that leads to Aang's arc. Throughout the series we do get the idea that he does not kill, though he doesn't outright say it. The avatar state is the closest he gets and it's shown to be out of his control to the point where he fears it because he doesn't want to harm or kill. He's stated multiple times to have the mindset of an airbender where he evades and avoids instead of attacking. He saves Zuko multiple times despite it being by far in his best interest not to because he values life for the sake of life. Aang not being willing to kill was absolutely set up. It did not come out of nowhere. He is regularly shown to value life and believe in the avoidance of harm when possible. It's not supposed to be a surprise or revelation when he's like “yeah I don't wanna kill the firelord.”
Literally his main arc is about balancing being the last airbender and the avatar. His conflict with Ozai as the culmination of his arc was long since set up.
3. The Lion Turtle, by definition, is technically as Deus Ex Machina, however, it did not come out of nowhere nor is it unprecedented. The writers did not write themselves into a corner, the Lion Turtle arc matches past plot lines they've written. I won't go super into it because I already wrote a meta about it here. Feel free to read if you want, but the tl;dr is the Book Three finale almost perfectly matches the story beats of the Book One finale. We are also not told about the Moon and Ocean spirit until the 12th hour, nor that they can use Aang to become a giant fish monster to wipe out an army. This is also a Deus Ex Machina but it fits in the story because of the nature of spirits. Again, there's more in the meta. People will constantly gripe about the Lion Turtle but not the ocean spirit and, honestly, I think it's because seeing an armada get wiped out was fun and satisfying for people. The main reason people criticize the Lion Turtle is that the ending didn't go the way that would satisfy them the most, (the total defeat and death of the bad guy).
Something not ending the way you would have wanted does not make it bad writing, it just makes it not tailored to your taste.

About my posting schedule-
So a couple days im posting drabbles, but im not sure what drabble i want to write about. I want them to be at least 800 words each so if you have any requests send them my way, but
Also! Please let me know if anyone likes any of these ideas for me to write on!
Fallout 141 Au Exploring the wastes has become a pastime of yours, made easier now that you can befriend the beasts of the wasteland, and especially easier after learning how to raise deathclaws. You stumble upon another vault only to find that its inhabitants have been frozen in time. Vault 240 seems to be one of the earlier military vaults, having perfected cryo stasis enough to preserve a group of soldiers from Task force 141. Piecing together what you can with the heavily redacted information around the offices you eventually figure out how to release them. Now it’s up to you to explain the new worlds situation to them, and hopefully get some good help out on the wastes.
141 Living Ocean AuCaptain John Price has always been bound by the law of the seas. Not the weak laws made by kings or queens, but the actual, soul bound laws of the ocean and the magical beings that inhabit it. He and his first mate Simon Ghost Riley travel the seas, keeping all other sailors in line with the help of the ocean itself. They eventually bring aboard a siren named Gaz and a mershark named Soap. You're being held captive on a pirate ship, they know you're connected to magic, the seas are always favorable when you're on board, but the sea wants you back. It puts your captors in the firing line of Price’s crew and after taking over the ship they find you, a magic user claimed by the sea with scales that shine like moonlight.
Jujutsu Kaisen Four of a Kind You’re a natural born curse. A curse of possibility, able to manipulate possible outcomes around you to your desire, sealed away by other curses over your desire to assist humans. You are raised as a jujutsu sorcerer when a high ranking family is able to pull you into the physical realm again but this means you have to lead a more human life. Starting off as a child you have much more limitations on your cursed abilities, though the potential to grow your strength back to what it was exists. Your new family has you attend Jujustu High, where you meet Gojo, Geto, and Shoko. (We get better outcomes for jjk)
Jusutsu Kaisen Snapped You're a sorcerer who's lost hope in humanity. A mission gone wrong ends up with you touched by Mahito, but you survive his attack, only to become a curse spirit. Your mind has snapped and all you can do is follow Mahito’s orders. Yuji attempts to snap you out of it with Nobora and Megumi.

ok the post got a few likes and one person responded so i will talk abt it. this ones for you @orange-enjoyer
Pizza Zelda: the zelda game me and my younger sister are creating by talking about it sometimes. other titles from our google doc include: "The Legend of Zelda: The Seal of Darkness" and "The Legend of Zelda: The Real Triforce was the Friends we Made Along the Way"
putting this under a cut because it is getting long.
It is called Pizza Zelda because the idea was spawned by a collection of things. The first was I was bored out of my mind in class and told my friend to give me things to draw and she told me to draw link as a fast food employee. i would post a picture of that but i dont currently have that sketchbook or a picture :(
the next thing was this one piece of concept art from breath of the wild: creating a champion. my older sister hates it, she thinks the idea of link wearing jeans is wrong. so obviously my link must wear jeans.
Tumblr media
So, the story. It takes place a few generations after Spirit Tracks, where technology has progressed significantly, and Castle Town has become Castle City, a bustling metropolis. A few decades before the game, an expedition to Old Hyrule under the ocean, researchers brought up the "statue" of Ganondorf, with the master sword still embedded in his forehead. The statue has decayed significantly, and many scholars and sages feared that it meant the seal was also decaying with it, so they brought it to hyrule castle for safekeeping.
Unfortunately for them, they were very right about the seal decaying. and now i am going to copy and paste from our google doc.
The before:
Link is a minimum wage employee at Mario’s Pizza. He is a delivery driver who sometimes dabbles in the kitchen. Unbeknownst to him, he is also the chosen hero of the goddesses, and the wielder of the triforce of courage
Zelda is the princess of Hyrule, and lives in the castle–right smack dab in the middle of the bustling Castle City. Her family has been charged with keeping watch over the Master Sword, which holds in place a seal, locking away the spirit of Demise. She is the next in the line of the blood of the Goddess Hylia, and has been training in combat for much of her life.
Ganondorf is a chef, and an old childhood friend of Link’s. He works at his family store, Gerudo Gespacho. Despite ancient legends of the Gerudo stating that the male born every one hundred years is to become their chief, he is not anybody special. The Gerudo people have since become a democracy, and he has no wishes to become the politician. Unfortunately for him, he was born with the power of the triforce of power, leaving him a prime target for the spirit of Demise, in his quest to gain the full power of the triforce.
The inciting incident:
The seal has begun to crack, letting darkness and evil seep out. Link is sent to deliver a pizza order to Hyrule Castle, and a large pizza order too. However, due to unfortunate circumstances (fate), monsters happen to break into the castle at the exact same time. Zelda grabs Link (and the pizza), in an effort to drag him to safety. Somewhere in the commotion, Link and Zelda get separated, and Link ends up in the chamber of the Master Sword.
Something deep inside of him tells him to pull it, and he does, easily. He uses the sword to cut down the monsters that appear, but in doing so, he has unleashed the seal, letting out the power of Demise.
The game:
The pedestel/seal/whatever breaks into X number of pieces, scattered across Hyrule. He finds Zelda, who is horrified, and they set off on a quest to recover these pieces, in order to reseal Demise.
Unfortunately, unleashing this seal also unleashed the power of Ganondorf, who’s power has made him a suitable host for Demise, who takes over his body.
Link and Zelda explore Hyrule, going through dungeons and finding all of the pieces. At the end, when they are trying to finish it, they discover that there is one piece missing, and who has it but–Ganondorf! Link who knows and is friends with Ganondorf is horrified.
They fight Ganon, and at the end, they put together the seal, which does not entirely work. Demise is re-sealed, and Ganondorf is freed, but cracks soon appear again.
They speak to Impa, who informs them that the seal is not complete, not without the full power of the triforce. So they must journey to the three spirits of the Goddesses to unlock their full power, so that the Master Sword will be sufficiently powerful enough.
Leaving the Master Sword behind in the seal, Link uses another weapon, and now Ganondorf is a playable character! They journey to the three goddesses, and go through dungeons. Each dungeon plays to the strengths of the character, eg dungeon of wisdom plays more towards zelda’s strengths (magic and long-range combat.)
At the end, they fight Demise, who has broken out of the seal) in a more monstrous form (think dark beast ganon), and use their combined powers to reseal him, leading to another few generations of peace and prosperity, before the cycle inevitably continues.
The actual gameplay i imagine would be somewhat of a cross between classic 2d zelda dungeon puzzles and a turn-based rpg fighting system, im thinking something like final fantasy vi. i think. idk its been a while since i watched my dad play thru that game lol.
anyways! art. i have zelda's character design pretty solid, and ive drawn link a few times but i havent fully decided on an outfit other than his work uniform. ganondorf's design is still a work in progress. unfortunately i do not currently have the sketchbook that has a lot of my design work but i did take a bunch of pictures of the zeldas i drew.
Tumblr media
these are not finalized designs but its the only art i have in color. here's link and zelda, zelda in casual and formal outfits, link in casual and work uniform.
i have. So many drawings of my zelda. Heres a few highlights
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and heres link

Heres some sketches of ganondorf i whipped up real fast bc i have nothing for him. well i know ive drawn him but i dont have those drawings. sigh.

do the cats have any like. things with bugs? like symbolism or stories?
Ants - Ants, due to their strength in numbers, are seen as very good friends and an example as to why working in teams in a good thing. A single ant can hardly move anything, but an entire team of ants can move huge pieces of food! The Ant- prefix is supposed to inspire the thought of a cat who is a team player, someone who works well with others. The ancient cat Antcloud of Riverclan, Cloudberry's brother, was known as a friendly cat to all. Antpelt's mother named him Antkit in hopes he'd make lots of friends...
Ladybugs - These little critters are actually associated heavily with motherhood! It is said that if a pregnant Queen sees a ladybug with many spots, the queen will have many kittens! If the ladybug does not have many spots, they will not have many kittens. Superstitious cats believe in it, like Brightheart, where cats who don't, like Cloudtail, tend to just think they're pretty. Ladybug is a very, very rare prefix, seen in ancient times with an underaged Shadowclan apprentice, Ladybugpaw. He is demoted back to Ladybugkit, and his future name was Ladybugfur.
Praying Mantis - These tough bugs (seriously I'm pretty sure fear is a foreign concept to these things) are seen pretty differently by each Clan. To Shadowclan, they are a snack, albeit a more bizarre one, often paired with roasted poultry and spicy Juniper berries. To Riverclan, they're a sign that the meadow in their Lake territory is healthy! Before that, they were mysterious, seen more like spirits than anything, and a sign that Starclan was watching the land by bringing its grass blades to life. To Windclan, they are valued for their resilience, and their willingness to battle despite size... It's relatable to them! If Windclan had movies, they'd be the underdog hero.
Grasshoppers - Snacks! Food! Yummy! Favorite food of Featherpelt, who loves frying some up and dipping them in blood gravy. Oh yeah... We use cooking too, but MUCH more recent in Clan history! Riverclan turns up their noses though, they refuse to eat them, but Shadowclan cats will slather them in vinegar. Grasshopper in general are associated with an old story, one that only Skyclan knows now from their old days. Their very first leader learned how to jump from a large Grasshopper, but when it tried to take her place as leader of Skyclan, she jumped high and swatted it off the high branch, breaking it into lots of little Grasshopper babies. Grasshoppers now have no idea what happened, but catching them is still a point of pride!
Snails (I know they're not bugs but you try telling cats that) - Snails! Their shells are collectible, and sometimes a very hot commodity in Shadowclan and Skyclan! There are stories of giant snails that cats can ride the shells of, and paint with pigments, meaning little painted shells are worth even MORE. The name Snail is meant to inspire peace and thoughtfulness.
Clams/Muscles - Riverclan food! Lots of Riverclan Cats learn to dive down into the river and part of the ocean when they take trips down there, all with the hopes to grab some yummy creature (and hopefully find a pearl!). Cats guard the ones they catch, and they're heavily prized for the possibility that they may hold a pearl. There are Legends about hunting parties that managed to save Riverclan from starting to death by diving down into the depths of the river to grab lots of them. Part of Riverclan mythology is the legend of a gigantic clam that resides in the river that an ancient Leopardclan warrior stashed a giant rainbow coloured pearl inside of to guard...
Crabs (also yes I know) - Beach bugs! A very lovely treat that cats will go to Sundrown Place to get along with salt! Just make sure to bring a basket, so you don't get pinched! Berrynose finds this one out the hard way. They're a delightful food and they're shells and pincers are often kept and traded! Riverclan has now become the lovers of all seafood, and will trade you whatever you like in return for a big crab.
Flies - Flighty around others, but brave enough to withstand sickness, often mate with those huge roaring dragons in the sky! Helpful as well, they point out sick prey or rotting meat. Cherryfall named Flykit the way she did because she feels that they're incredibly important, and wanted her tiny daughter to feel special. Flystar of Skyclan was Honor Titled the name Fly- for their ability to pick our bad prey, saving the Clan from a major outbreak during a very dark time when every other Clan was experiencing a Plague.
Dragonflies - Seen as the gorgeous offspring between flies and Dragons (airplanes) due to their shape, they're associated with grace, beauty, still water, and growing plants. There are however, stories of Dragonflies managing to become massive beasts, joining their dragon parent in the sky... Dragonfly from the Kin gets a huge reputation boost for being cool because of it.
Beetles - Icewing's favorite creature, if you let her, she'll talk your ear off about how pretty they are, their lovely smooth shells, how much she loves the ones with horns... All that. They are seen as very beautiful by the Clans, and I'm pretty sure some apprentices keep beetles in little hideouts to watch them... Or make the horned ones fight because kids will be kids. Icewing and Mintwhisker were big fans of beetle fights, and named Beetlewhisker after the beetles they bonded over as apprentices.
Worms - Lot of different opinions! Though, Thunderclan has a very very sore spot concerning worms. You'll have to forgive them, they're not the type to let things go. Since the move to the lake, things have gotten better, but stories about The Great Hunger are still cause for many cats to very much dislike worms. They'll happily trade them off to Riverclan. Bait in exchange for duck feathers and the occasional egg.
Speaking of, Riverclan LOVE worms. Not to eat, no, but for bait! Not many fish can resist a wiggly worm!
To Windclan, they're kinda seen as annoying. I'm borrowing Tunnelbuns from Bonefall, and a worm getting into your tunnelbun is the WORST.
For Shadowclan, many apprentices try and catch them to put them in frog-filled areas to fatten up frogs for an easier future catch. Doesn't always work, but it keeps them entertained and it's fun to watch!
Crickets - The snack you dare your friends to try. Cool! Weird! A bug that SINGS! Myths linger about a cricket that managed to learn to speak, and gave a sign from Starclan to an old Lionclan cat to save his leader. Cricket songs are enjoyed heavily, and Crickets going quiet is cause for deep concern. It happens right before the Great Battle. The silence is still a... Tough to talk about moment.
Spiders - Skyclan and The Forest Four have very different views!
To the Forest Four, Spiders have a bit of a tough rep. They're eeire, but the cobwebs they make are so, so useful. Plenty of cats have a fear of spiders, such as Cloudtail, Owlwhisker, and Mossyfoot. They're seen as very pragmatic, and Spiderleg was named for his very spider-y body, but also his will to live, and his strength, especially when he was a tiny kitten, and needed his extra leg amputated due to the pain it was causing.
To Skyclan: A tragic symbol of the final leader of old Skyclan. Spiderstar made the final call, like a dying mother spider, to cast off remaining cats of Skyclan out into the Twolegplace. They are seen as beautiful, intelligent, and protective. Spiderstar is often called upon for a blessing when a cat goes on a quest, in hopes they will still come home afterwards. Pebbleshine frequently prays to her, as does Violetshine. They both love spiders as a result.
Ticks - Bad! Awful! Makes cats sick! Hurts and itches! These things caused a terrible Plague during the Homebrew story Wishstar's Abyss, and she used the cover of the sickness to poison the current leader. They need to be dealt with ASAP. Removed with prey bones or carved sticks, mouse bile is a Shadowclan exclusive seasoning once cooking is discovered.
Bees - Seen as less of a threat than their Wasp counterparts, but still creatures to be a bit weary about! They do not take kindly to stealing. The Legend of The Bee is very similar to the old myth in our world about them! A large bee presented Starclan with sweet honey, and Starclan was thankful. When Starclan asked the bee how she managed to make enough to share with everyone, the bee laughed and stated she would attack anyone who tried, that Starclan cats were lucky to have gotten a taste. Starclan cursed the bee, while she was given an incredible weapon to defend herself, it would kill her if used. Since you're able to harvest from bees without getting stung (so long as you remain calm) the Bee name is often associated with quieter, more strategic cats.
Bumblebees - These are seen as SIMILAR to bees, but not quite! They do still sting, but how could something so differently shaped and so very fuzzy be the actual same thing? They're also called Bumbles, making Bumble a suitable prefix (not that it wasn't already from Bumblestripe!) Shadowclan celebrates a Bumblebee Festival, where many Pollen rich flowers are gathered and placed in the middle of camp to attract bumbles near the end of Greenleaf!
Wasps/Hornets - These are actually seen as the same thing! Just different ranking. Since it's known that bees swarm, the Clan cats see these as higher ranked bees. Think apprentices vs warriors. Same THING, different rank. Waspwhisker's name is an indication of his strength in battle (and in being a good tracker, hence the suffix).
