its crazy that people think having multiple personality disorders makes you more dangerous or fucked up bc like, the more abuse and trauma you suffer as a child, the more symptoms of PDs you will check off bc your behavior becomes so disordered in order to survive. having more than one PD (having several PDs) is common among childhood abuse survivors. PD comorbidity is crazy high and, ultimately, PDs are a way of categorizing symptoms for diagnostics and treatment.

it has nothing to do with your character, your worth as a human being, and your ability to heal. you adapted to survive your abuse. you can adapt to survive life after it.

When Bruce lost his parents, he was left distraught, both of you were, Bruce had lost his parents, and you had become an heir to a dying company, an old Manor and a guardian to your younger sibling at 19, it was destined to happen, finding yourself in the vast vaern beneath the manor that is.

You became the shadow that hunted down criminals at night, for your own goals at least, you needed to beat someone up for the sake of having a catharsis for the pressure, unknowingly, you planted the seed of a legend that would take root and shake the city of the dead.

How did Bruce find out? He was a smart boy from the start, and it wasn't long that he'd try to peer over your shoulder as you fidgeted with the gadgets you had made, you didn't know the stocks you'd buy for the Wayne company make it into an empire, you just had bought them because they helped you produce some up to tech of the time technology to help you beat the fucking light out of the people that either pissed you off or were trouble in general, yeah, you were angry and upset, but you tried to be a good parent to your sibling, that was why he wanted to join you.

"The bat needs a Robin" "I'm not a bat Bruce, and I hate them" you groaned, haunched over your desk, a picture that would never leave Bruce's memories, not even when you were sucked into the warp of the timelines, never to be found again. "Let me be your Robin" "Whatever, pass me the tape"

It is not a spite piece to retcon the past. It's not about c!Tommy's happy ever after. It's a ghost story - whether literal or metaphorical - of c!Jack getting closure and putting his unfinished business behind.

I know the urge to make c!Tommy the protagonist is strong, but he's merely the exorcist, not the one being laid to rest.
