I get why after completing their temple, the champions only give you a phantom with their power instead of staying with Link. It would be weird to have them there and not do or say anything during other story stuff and whatnot and their chatting could probably get annoying, especially once you got more than one. So I get it but Yunobo is my friend now and I want him to stay with me for reals. And I know when I go finish Sidon's stuff, I'm gonna miss him ever more. I wish my friends could travel me but instead I get lifeless, silent facsimiles of them. T.T
