Slugzi and Nlug !! Another drawing of N and Uzi as slugcats from the best game on the planet, Rain World (I am objectively correct, don't even try to deny) No, I'm not trying to avoid drawing drones, that would be.... unprofessional as J would say.

My opinion on the finale? It was AWESOME. There's some hate that claim the episode was too fast-paced and overall wasn't a very good closure for the series as it left some unfinished arcs and unexplained plot points. And while I don't disagree, I'm grateful for what we got because that episode was SPECTACULAR!!! it was such a fun experience. I do wish we got to see more of Khori after their reunion, I wish we got too see N and V make up at the end or at least hug, I wish we got J trying to redeem or explain herself after Cyn was defeated, I wish we got more explanation for past events we didn't get to see such as Nori's death or if humans are truly extinct, I wish Tessa had more to her than to just be a disguise for Cyn, and so so much more. But even then, it was NOT a bad episode, far from it!! We have to keep in mind that it's an indie show and there are some limitations. We are lucky to have gotten a masterpiece of a finale in the first place cuz a lot of indie projects never even get to see a conclusion, especially not one THIS GOOD. I enjoyed the scenes we got, they were entertaining and exciting. While it was disappointingly short, it still became one of my top 3 favorite episodes. I'm gonna miss MD! I hope we get to see some sort of continuation of the story or perhaps just some funny shorts or official art. I'm not very picky.

The measure of a good game isn't a fandom that produces beautiful detailed fanart and touching and deep analysis.

It's a fandom that is batshit crazy, with highest effort shitposts known to man. Fandom who's posts make the game appear a completely different beast entirely from what it really it to a newcomer. Its memes? Incomprehensible. Its efforts? Frightening.

For this is about the brainrot for which a mile long analyses of the text are the starting point. It's about a deathgrip that makes people stay and keep creating in a fever, long after every pixel and every polygon and every letter of the original was exhausted, bled dry for fan conversation.

It's about the insatiable, ravenous, self shaped gash a game leaves in the brains of those it touches, which just keep on bleeding.

Dean cannot conceptualise himself as a separate entity from Sam, he's not Dean Winchester the person, he's Dean Winchester eldest brother, and you know what? I do still blame John. Dean was John's soldier and John's babysitter before he was ever John's son. And he failed at being a good soldier, the amount of people who have told him that if John Winchester had a grave he'd be turning in it at the kind of hunter Dean has become. But he still has Sam, Sam's still alive and Dean will make sure he's alive because if he is, he's still something worthy in his father's eyes. He may have failed in himself but at least he can still protect Sammy. So when Sam says Dean only saved him because he's afraid of being alone, yeah I'm sure that has something to do with it, but Dean has literally built his entire identity around Sam, he has to save Sam, Sam is proof that he's worthy, that it means something, that it's right. There ain't no Dean if there ain't no Sam. In Dean's eyes they're almost one being and Dean is everything dark and bad and corrupt, the necessary evil, but Sam is the best of him, Sam's the kid he raised, his kid, he wouldn't just be alone if Sam died he would have failed the very reason he continues to exist.

I wish Tsunade's aesthetics evoked slugs more often. Orochimaru has snake imagery all over the place (design, outfits, hideout decor, official art details, etc), and Jiraiya's sage mode and various official art details feature toads. Genuinely feels like Tsunade's slug connection only comes up occasionally. Like that art of them as kids where instead of having a slug decoration to match her teammates, she has dice. (Orochimaru's decoration is a snake and it's hard to see but Jiraiya has a toad head)

The dice are cute but also why? When does my favorite hokage/medic get to have outfits or jewelry or decals that evoke slug imagery??

And i have never agreed more.

Blakk is a horrible guy with little to no redeeming qualities, but here's the thing-

He's not like, a major d¡cƙ either.

Sure, he's a jerk to a lot of his employees, but he's not outright crule either.

Remember, Thaddius Blakk was once a traumatized kid who was to claw his way to the top. And probably witnessed a punch of messed up crap while Viggo Dare was still in charge.

And FYI a true feminist cares about men's problems

Blakk is equally himself to just about everyone he meets, you know what your getting into when you get involved with a guy like him.

Blakk does not care if you are man, woman human, elf, Moleinoid, Cave Troll, have money, or are a poor orphan on the street - all the man cares about is whether or not you're useful.

Feminism, at its core, is equality for women and men. To be on equal footing in every possible way. No discrimination. Just equal rights and equal fights.

[This next bit is kinda a tangent, tbh but i feel like it helps explain my 'Blakk genuinely dose not care' mindset]

Hell, he tried to convince Eli he wasn't all that bad when they first met, and had it not been for Burpy and the suddenly showing the young Shane that Ghoul Slug, Blakk might have convinced Eli he wasn't a threat had things just played out differently.

Blakk didn't officially become Eli's antagonist until Eli declined any sort of 'professional relationship' with him and then declare 'war' in episode 3. Because at that moment before being turned down, Eli Shane, was useful in some capacity. Even if that usefulness would have involved a lot of manipulation.

On top of that, he doesn't undermine Trixie either. While he may not personally know her name, he knows enough that Trixie Sting is an obstacle and a threat. And treats her as such.

And probably made sure his henchmen knew as much.

Then there's Dana

He went out of his way to higher one of the best Highered Marks just to track Dana down, get his blaster back, and get rid of her. Blakk, could easily not care about something like a Blaster, Blakk Industries makes them for crying out loud, he probably has a collection of them! But he goes out of his way to get that one Blaster back from Dana, and then make an example of her. Even went as far as to show up in-person to make sure.

A thing, he wouldn't do just for anyone.

Blakk's fits are rated E for Everyone

The man does not care who you are, prove yourself useful, he'll pull the strings to get you on his side, prove to be a nuisance, and you'll be dealt with accordingly regardless of who you are.

Hence me HCing the man as a Feminist.

You can stand on business, have upstanding morals, all while still being a horrible individual.

It's like Odalia from TOH. She doesn't care, Amity is into girls, she just doesn't like Luz and the rest of her daughters friends because 'their beneath them', and she wants to rule over the Demon Realm.

Same thing with Emperor Belos/Philip. The guy grew up during the era of witch hunts, yet two of his most trusted individuals were women(or female identifying). While he was going to ultimately pull off the biggest witch extermination in history, he didn't care who was working for him, as long as they were useful and fulfilled a purpose. He doesn't underestimate Luz for being a girl, just young and nieve, before getting bitch slapped with the reality this human is more resourceful then he was.

How Blakk being a Feminist effects his relationship with whomever Tads mom was.

I don't know where the idea of Blakk having to have been married or even a committed relationship to have a baby spawned from, but with as much networking that guy probably had to do while building up Blakk Industries it's safe to assume he met ppl and had a few casual flings.

One of which resulted in Tad.

(And this is not me discrediting/bashing the hc of Blakk having a wife/romance partner, I think its an interesting concept and adds onto Blakk still being a human even though he may act like a monster, a concept i very much so like and will champion because i love complex villains like Blakk. But for the sake of this particular narrative and the limited clues given in cannon, lets pretend otherwise)

The woman, somehow leaving Slugterra and to the Surface, is a plot whole (let's be real, it is). But ignoring it, and just assume the lady was a Surface dweller who would sneak down to Slugterra for fun, and met Blakk by chance.

And when she did realize she was pregnant, she had a choice, and at first she wanted to tell Blakk, he was the baby's father after all, but by then Blakk had developed his reputation, and when she tried some probably thought she was after his money or something.

You know, because people suck.

So by the time Blakk learned of the pregnancy, the Lady had returned to the Surface and swore off coming down to Slugterra ever again. (For reasons)

Blakk probably tried to track her down, but was stumped because there where no records of her ever exiting in Slugterra, and then he remembered bits of their conversations, and how it sounded like she wasn't from Slugterra but the mythical world above.

Thus, his obsession with Shane Secrets begins.

I have a completely different post in my drafts I'm working on, but it relates to this a bit, and the gist of it is, Blakk would have support the woman who was pregnant and any decisions she made, but also given Tad everything he didn't have as a kid.

Again, absolutely horrible individuals can have completely, perfectly normal morals and standards. You can have a monster, give them a humanizing trate, and still be irredeemable.

Dr. Thaddius Blakk is a villain of the highest degree, but he has standards damn it.

Honestly even if I didn't care for Artihunter it is so damn refreshing to see a fandom where one of the biggest ships is two random-ass characters popularly headcanonned as girls. Its usually always twinkXtwink or two random guys no matter how focused the original source material is on girl characters. So its extremely nice to see these two creatures be one of the most popular ships having never interacted and its as a yuri couple.

i miss bugs so bad. its mid april and there's hardly been a buzz in the air. how long has it been since ive seen a ladybug hobbling on a blade of grass. what about butterflies dancing from flower to flower or hoverflies zipping from bud to bud. my lights are on at night and yet my windows are noticably unharrassed by moths & other nightly bugs. where are millipedes. where are pondskaters. where are the spiders suspended on the sideview mirrors of cars. hell, even regular old flies. bees. wasps. ants. i see so few of them now. this is such a weird thing to see happen in my lifetime. i really miss just seeing bugs around.
