when you guys first started dating, i feel like paige would be kind of secretive about it

maybe secretive isn't the right word but very... private but not secret type of vibe (at least irl)

not because she doesn't want to show you off, because believe me, she wants to (she's a bragger what can i say)

but just because she wants to keep you all to herself for a while

she knows that as soon as people find out about it, everyone will be talking about it and making assumptions and she just wants to keep you to herself

at least for a couple months

she doesn't care about the public's opinions but she wants to make sure that y'all are LOCKED IN before she makes it public on social media

but it's clear to paige that y'all are very much locked in after the first couple weeks

she's not new to relationships and she's had her fair share but she can tell that it's different now

so the whole "not sure if i wanna hard/soft launch her cus what if we're not a long term" sentiment turns into "i wanna keep this special thing to myself ONLY for at least a couple months"

and of course the entire team knows paige is down bad for you, they've never ever seen her this WHIPPED

because paige seems like she'd be nonchalant and SHE IS... for people she doesn't give a fuck about

so when she likes someone, she LIKES someone

they tease her about it and in any other situation, she would be annoyed but she loooooooves it because it's like "yeah i'm in the best most awesome relationship with the cutest sweetest and kindest girl in the PLANET"

you and paige would've definitely known of each other since freshman year but like... she's kinda intimidating so you sorta tried to steer clear of her

you were really close with some of the girls on the team, specifically azzi so you saw paige kind of a lot

but sophomore year, azzi kind of pushed you guys to be close and since she knows you guys so well, IT WORKED!

you guys clicked so quick and that doesn't happen a lot with paige, it takes a lot to earn her friendship

but you practically ripped down all her walls within like an hour of talking to her

definitely the first one to catch feelings

and it kind of becomes like cemented (for paige at least) after she realized you were her literal COMFORT PERSON

like after every terrible, long practice or after losing games all she wants to do is be AROUND YOU so she could forget about everything

especially when she gets injured, she's such a wreck and the only person who made her feel better was you

it wasn't even what you said or what you did, it was simply just you

and after going through such a bad time with you, she realized that she liked you and she can't keep pretending

and she asked you (yaya!) and you said yes cus you liked her back (yaya!) and everything is just YAYA

so it's safe to say she knows she's found her soulmate within a month of knowing you

but she doesn't wanna seem like she's love-bombing you or whatever so she pretended to be nonchalant

which of course FAILS because she's down bad

so she tells you she loves you within like a month of dating

i KNOW it seems bad but you guys both felt it because of the whole injury and spending every moment together

when you know, you know vibes

she told you she loved you after you were there for her through some of the worst times of her life and you said it back of course and it's all cutesy

paige's love language is TOTALLY quality time and touch

even before you were dating, she just liked having her hands on you whether it was like holding your hand while walking through a crowd, or braiding your hair, or putting her head on top of yours or something as simple as just HUGGING you

but she kept it cordial of course cus y'all weren't dating

yeah that was all thrown out the window as soon you became her girlfriend

hands on you at ALL times, it becomes so subconscious neither of you even know you're doing it anymore

so remember that whole secret relationship thing?

well... everyone kind of figures it out online after like 3 months of dating

it was because of paige, poor girl couldn't keep her hands and lips off of you after a particularly hard game and somehow 🤨🤨someone gets a picture and it was all over twitter and tiktok the next day

literally "paige bueckers girlfriend" trending after an hour of getting posted

but neither of you cared too much about it because A. it was totally worth it cus the kiss was ���😫😫 and B. she finally doesn't have to turn off her girlfriend mode when she's with you at games

cus she has the prettiest and best gf in the world and she wants everyone to know that

the only reason she was slightly annoyed was because she couldn't hard launch you on instagram :( poor girl had potential captions in her notes :( cus she's our little drama queen:(

but that doesn't stop her cus she ends up doing it! (shameless plug right there hehehe)

now that she can freely touch you and just be herself finally, she literally doesn't GAFFF

of course nothing like over the top because sure she loves PDA to a certain extent and she's an athlete so she needs to keep it civil

RELATIONSHIP STUFF

we've already covered how paige is a physical touch and quality time girly

and paige loves spending literally all her free time with you because you just recharge her

but it isn't in like an overwhelming way

paige understand that sometimes you need quiet time (or vice versa) but the thing is she doesn't even need you to talk just being around you is enough

so idk if it's necessarily QUALITY time but just being around you and spending every free second she has with you tells you that she is in love with you

paige is the most protective person IN THE WORLD, not just with you like in general

it doesn't even have to be someone she knows, if she sees someone giving someone else a hard time SHE WILL STEP IN!

and with her friends, y'all have seen her... she does not back down and will literally murder anyone who comes for the people she cares about

so if that's with people she doesn't know, and her friends, you guys can imagine how crazy she gets over you

if somebody says something even slightly consendecing or mean, slap. someone looks at you the wrong way? slap. somebody breaths wrong around you, slap.

obviously she won't lay a hand on them first but likeeee would she back down, nope

she is actually your guardian angel

like at parties, her hand is always on you and she never ever leaves your side

you need to get a drink, she's coming to

if you need to pee? she'll wait in the bathroom for you

yeah don't expect her to leave your side

because even when she IS by your side, there is always a weirdo in your guys' ear trying to get with one (or both!) of you

but yeah she's not afraid to defend you when it comes to literally anything

and this doesn't only apply to strangers, if there is someone that you know (your friend, her friend, etc) she WILL stand by you and defend you

like she doesn't shy away from confrontation, she will say something but only if you want her to

and GOD HELP THEM if you shed a single tear, cus the next morning you bet she's saying something

like i said, paige is a confrontational person and that means she's the biggest communicator

if she has a problem, she will tell you so that you guys can fix it

but sometimes she can come off a little argumentative and like she's just attacking you

she uses a lot of "you" statements so it seems like she's pushing the blame all on to you

so that can be the root of a lot of your guys' arguments when paige is only trying to solve the issues

but of course paige doesn't back down so she will be arguing with you even if she doesn't even know why, she just hates being wrong

but she doesn't let you leave or go to sleep unless the problem is fixed (or at least on the road to being fixed)

she'll give you space, she'll go another room to take a breather but she will not let you leave until it is fixed

usually after the breather you guys can come to an agreement and then paige usually hugs all the anger outta you

cus who could resist her?

if the argument lasts a couple days (it usually doesn't unless it's something serious) paige will talk it out with her mom or her friends

and you'll usually do the same

and paige will force you to sit down and talk about it until it is FIXED because she hates not being able to talk to you

and when you guys do eventually talk about it, especially if it's a serious topic, it will end with tears with both parties

but you guys always make up and everything will be better

okay okay no more angst ... for now hehehe

i feel like paige's nervous tic would be braiding the ends of her hair so i feel like that would transfer to YOU somehow

she just likes braiding your hair!!!!!! or just running her hands through your hair, it would help her relax

It'd be a lot different! I guess I can list a few I thought of,,,

So, Rat!Mom.

She’s still a bit paranoid (how can you not be with the Shredder actively trying to find out what happened to you, where you are, and if you're actually dead), but shes more focused on trying to give her kids as normal of a life as she can and definitely not hiding all her stress underneath endless piles of work.

Mikey plays alot of games and is more adept at cooking, Raph's painting more often and always trying to help his mom with cleaning(yes, hes a mama's boy), Donnie is creating and creating and always wanting to go bigger, and Leo and Karai(yes, Karai :]) play fight alot(so many wars...) when they aren’t watching Space Heroes 24/7 or trying to explore outside the home.

Then, maybe during one of her dumpster dives, she finds some convenient "Chris Bradford" training tapes that they start to gain an interest in ninjutsu. She's not too pleased with it, but since they enjoy it, she tries to be more open to it(she conflicted)

They do go out and about earlier than Canon(with a curfew), meet April earlier too(her and her dad are a little different), and Karai and April become BFFS. (Unless...)

The kids still call her sensei or variations of mom, which ones? Probably all depending on what they did.

Now, fighting bad guys? She did not raise them for that /hj

In reality, when she sees her kids scratched up from fights topside, they are usually pretty quick to inform her what happened(except for two). They get carefully patched up, and scolded before being told to rest for a while(grounded). Which is definitely not so she can keep an eye on them.

And she is certainly not stressed whatsoever👍

She can still be emotionally intelligent too, but the traps are staying.

Other than the traps, I do think Rat! Shen will have some other types of self-defense training during the time she was in hiding. Girl is not risking shit.

When it comes to VS. Shredder bits, she'd definitely use everything she can to her advantage, especially her rat abilities. Climbing, gnawing, scratching, hissing; just get the fuck away from her and her kids.

There’s no planned ships atm (other than Shen x Yoshi, but that's the point- hes ded anyway)

Lastly, Im thinking of probably at least three separate versions or “alternate timelines” for the WP au, or two divergents of the wp au canon lol. One where the original turts find Shen and her turts pre-adventure, one post-adventure and/or during the shredder kidnap arc(i will not elaborate) and the least timefuckery timeline where Rat mom and her babies gotta march on without future “assistance” 🤷 im sure they’ll be fine(they willllll)

This is a series of small life updates from stuff ive blogged about on the past. It ranges from my romantic (?) life, work and mental stuff. Also my personal gaming things

The men trademark

The dumb bi sweatpants furry - finally outgrew him after i asked him to kiss me and he said a firm no. i only pushed him because he had some very ambiguous attitudes with me in the past and i thought that he was just being shy. He couldve just been more direct with his rejection that i wouldnt feel the need to chase him (im a bit pathetic, i know, but i wouldnt go the lengths i did if he didnt agree to sleep with me when we went on a date, safe to say he also grabbed me once, and i never really physically touched him, but whatever, im cured now finally, took me a year and a half)

Hot tall ripped model from work that goes to the same college as me - found out his twitter, he is kinda of a psycho and delulu about needing to grow as an actor, he was also using his job to make connections to his side actor career. Also was really shit as his job so i kinda gave up. Saw some mean tweets about everyone and he didnt seem  to take college that seriously

My enby friend that has a rocker edgy vibe that is super sweet with me - found out he is ex non binary, he has a girlfriend but flirted with me in public very explicitly (in front of his gf, who side eyes me and doesnt seem to enjoy my presence that much) and in front of my friends. It isnt something out of my head, everyone says hes attracted to me (not just my best friend that supports my delusions), but i keep in mind he is very monogamous but who knows. Everyone at college hates his guts because of his bad attitude and sarcasm towards everyone. But, whenever i talk to him, he doesnt look me in the eye and seems awkward at some points, but we had some cool conversations about our insecurities and i just like him a lot. Definitely going for him once he dumps her.

Some guy i matched on grindr who showed up at college and made me freeze in public and delete my account out of panic. Still looking for him on social media but i cant find a single clue. Was the person that i flirted with most (we swapped pics and talked very dirty)

Work

My bosses talked about my performance and im pretty good. My fears that i didnt had the skills or wasnt working hard enough are pretty unfounded. But i need to work on my social skills since i seem like a very angry/blunt person but in reality im just focused or dont pick up on social cues. If i had autism it could be easy to justify this but im really past 4 or 5 mental health professionals and they seem pretty keen to explain that im just oblivious since i dont have other key behaviors and symptoms. But hooray for me. Hoping to be signed in as a full time or be recommended to another good company

Mental health

I didnt answer some people who shared their body image issues when i posted some stuff here last time but just wanted to say that i read the two comments i had and they helped me somewhat. Im growing out of hating my body and seeing it for what it is. Its not perfect, but im beginning to like it in its entirety without having to resort to self-pity and its very nice. Im also dressing differently, in another style, bought some new clothes and im feeling a lot more confident. Taking care of myself makes me feel awesome. I know i feel like a overly-excited kid typing this but this is just how i feel

Im finally on anxiety meds…. And i dont feel a single change. Either for good or bad. My mother said i look less grumpy on mornings but thats about it. And it has been more than six weeks, enough for at least one tiny noticeable change, but i need to give this feedback to my psychiatrist

Gaming stuff

MY PC IS HEREEEEE (im typing on it!!!)_

Im finally playing shadow generations (the first steam game i bought on it) and it feels awesome playing stuff at 60 stable fps and near instant load times

Being able to pirate just about everything and run it, is simply perfect

Didnt have the time to play a single sims game yet, wayy too focused on sonic

Bought a pair of legit pokemon b2 and w2 carts for myself for my birthday. Havent gotten around playing them tho

Switch 2 will break my bank. Im considering getting it just to play animal crossing at 1080p 60fps portable and with faster load times (swear im not lying)

Im kinda dead on ace attorney. After playing the entire franchise last year i still need to play the investigations remake (that i can easily pirate on my new pc)

Conclusion

Im doing fine. Really happy to have a fucking computer after so long and i bought it with the fruit of my labor. Also i like my job, its nice to leave it feeling good and satisfied with what ive done. Just need to learn how to talk nicer to people i guess. Also i need to stop being a coward and get laid for once

holy shit okay !! i would love to ramble on so, i shall!

okay im no expert on toy sales history, this is all just observation from my life experiences and i'll try to keep each part i want to go over relatively short!

that being said lets start with a small one that i've personally noticed as a canadian: Kinder egg toys! i remember when they used to come with like 4-8+ pieces, and you needed the included step by step manual to assemble them. they would often come with sticker sheets to decorate them with, and they would often be articulated or be set on wheels or have some sort of fun or movement or general functionality to them:

dont those look awesome? wrapped in 2 kinds of chocolate, and for only like 2$! i remember they would come in all shapes and sizes, all sorts of animals and vehicles and sometimes freaky little abominations, as you can see above, and sometimes even puzzles! they were such a special treat as a kid.

but kinder eggs now? come with a maximum of like 3 pieces that just snap together (usually the front and back of the toy, and then the platform they stand on). and thats all they mostly are now, stiff toys that stand on platforms wahhooooo yippeee

idk just look at the quality difference from the old ones above compared to some of the new ones:

like..... these are..... nothing! literally nothing. just a figure snapped to a pole/platform and thats it! not very interesting for more than 3 minutes max.

now i know what you're thinking: "not ALL of the old kinder toys had to have been bangers" and you'd be right, some were lame as hell, but even the lame ones from before look more intricate than the ones we have now, like can you see what i mean, just detail-wise?

it just feels so cheap and shitty, i could go on and on but more is explained later. point is, it sucks.

anyway that's a very small example and we can move onto bigger and better ones, and maybe even one that everyone else might have noticed by now; McDonald's toys! remember when they were actually toys?

and not just stiff figurines?

(the minions franchise was like CRACK for companies who love making profit off of nothing but stiff rounded plastic. probably the cheapest form of "toy" i can think of)

and yeah, again, its not like there werent figurines back in the day too, there's ALWAYS been lame as hell mcdonalds toys, but looking among many modern mcdonalds toys, you dont see anything as cool as the old ones. literally every major modern movie/franchise right now is nothing but figurines. the most recent actually interactive mcd's toy ive seen is when they collabed with hasbro games

again, companies just seem to be pumping out quantities over quality.

but why?

well, for starters toys are becoming cheaper (both in price and quality) because prices have sky rocketed and stores are forced to only stock cheaper things, therefore the cheap things sell the most, and then more of them get made, and statistics get fucked, etc etc the cycle repeats.

but toy companies know one thing, and that's that things that are "cuter" always sell more. "cuter" being used with vitriol because their idea of 'cute' is 'more glitter and sparkles and rainbow colours and obnoxiousness' oh, and dont forget the huge soulless bug eyes on all of them!

i know that people love these things, but theyre so..... uncanny. their stare is piercing, their stance is so stiff, i always felt bad actually playing with the only one of these i had growing up, and not just because it freaked me out, it just genuinely didnt feel good to play with.

and i knoowwwww people are obsessed with these things, but come on, you have to admit theyre SO unoriginal! theyre just cookie cutter shapes!

these things are horrifying and, at best, belong on a shelf.

these "beany boos" are so woobified and almost feel like a flanderized version of a stuffed animal, and they've completely taken over "beanie babies", which were wonderful soft little things that actually had movement and weren't stiff to cuddle! I also feel like they're almost trying to copy what webkinz was, in a way, as some of those were stiff too (but still loveable and not burdened with an uncanny, vacant stare)

anyway this is getting insanely long and im sorry but i feel like im going insane every time i see new toys nowadays. the like.... "cuteification" of everything is driving me insane, and the fact that they are simply just lower quality than what we used to get, because of prices rising and causing easy-to-make things to become more and more popular.

examples to further prove these points:

extreme woobifying or "cuteification" by almost completely removing all horse anatomy in favour of thin limbs, heavy makeup eyes that are now on the front of her face, and modern influencer eyebrows. on a horse.

and the extreme-simplifying of toys can be seen quite well on those mini polly pocket sets!! see this one here?

almost allllll of those little plastic things could be rotated or rearranged or moved or fucked with in some manner, it was awesome. i loved these miniature houses they always came with so much shit. wanna guess what the newer ones look like?

you guessed it, like shit!!

man even beyblades used to come with like, all sorts of different pieces both metal and plastic alike, and you had to assemble them yourself and you could interchange pieces to obtain a different weight which would affect your attacks against other beyblades, etc etc:

and looking at them now? they seem to be mostly made of- yep, you guessed it, hard cheap plastic.

anyway holy shit i literally reached the 30 image limit on a single post tumblr really said thats ENOUGH !! i cant believe i just spent that long talking about the worlds most pointless thing but at any rate i hope you enjoyed it and i hope you see my vision. because like i said im not insanely knowledgeable on any of this in particular, but its hard not to notice the decline in quality of all of todays modern toys.

steam next fest 3 the finale maybe

i have recently become much less confident that nextfest is all one word, also

yeah, its missing some pizzaz, like music and sfx work, but the devs are pretty open about it being early so ill look past it. the gimmick itsself is fun! its simple and straightforward in a good way, and i like how it iterates on runs. the good items taking up more physical space and getting burried in your deck is a really good expression of balance. good little roguelike! wishlisted and played for way longer than i thought i would

straight up couldnt get this one to work. no buttons or keys do shit. i unplugged my controller, relaunched it, a bunch of stuff, still stuck on the first screen. shame, i was really looking forward to giving it a shot

this is a good demo! it does a good job at presenting the game and letting you know what its all about. i got the basics really solidly, and i see how the additional environments would iterate on the core gameplay loop. i dont think this ones for me, it seems a bit too sandboxy and score-based for me, but i recognize that this is a well made game and i think itll be really enjoyable for its target audience. check it out if you like simulator/management things, or if you want to try the genre out!

okay, just finished the tutorial, and im kinda split. first, the action feels great and the movement it stellar but yeesh this controller binding is messing me up. it only feels comfortable for me to keep one finder on the front of the controller, and i switch between the bumpers and the triggers with just my index. literally the only games that arent comparable with this approach, by expecting you to use bumpers AND triggers simultaneously, is this and hotline miami 2. the worst part is, i only figured out how weird this feels by the second-to-last tutorial, so i gotta redo all of it with kbm. after that, the game felt a lot more reasonable to get my fingers around (i probably wouldve switched spacebar and shift if i played longer), and i can confirm that the controller layout is my only obstacle to this kick-ass game. i will say that i wasnt expecting it to be a survival game? i thought itd be kind of a roguelike progression-through-a-dungeon thing, but its more about staying in a small space and defending. i already had this one wishlisted, and im glad i know what to expect now, this seems like itll be an interesting "kill 20 minutes before bed" game (in a good way! i love those)

right away, this feels like its to scotland what kisima innitchuna is to alaskan first nations. only its all stop motion and the entire ost sounds like a simon & garfunkle open house. maybe this comparison is stupid, the point is that this is awesome and you need to play it now. it may look like you get what the games about when you look at it, but it feels different to control. i dunno how to explain it, the artstyle makes the controls feel... different in a neutral way? please just try it, words fail me. this may very well be a once-in-a-lifetime game

game froze midway through the opening. man, bad luck today. it gotr working in the end, and MAN does this make me feel like a game reviewer. the game isnt hard per se, i can beat all the levels pretty easily, but the game asks you to be pretty damn talented if you want those a ranks. replay the level, route the best way to kill everyone as efficiently as possible. by the end youre gonna feel like harding. i feel like the full games gonna be a bit to tough for my blood, but im gonna have a stellar time watching the action from the sidelines. catch this at GDQ 2026

before you read on, let it be known that this is objectively one of the best made and well put-together games ive tried this entire festival and all of my gripes with it are from personal preference. trying this game has led me to understand what people enjoy about punch-out (its clear inspiration) better than any 15 minute video essay could: its a puzzle game that relies on twitch reflexes and trial-and-error. its your job as a player to be attentive to the bosses's minute difference of animation to tell you exactly how to dodge and exactly when to strike. thats a great game! i feel genuinely remiss that i dont like trial and error and split-second weaknesses, or else i wouldve enjoyed this game way more. if youre on the fence about it, please give it an honesty try, this game knows exactly what to be and how to be it. the animation is great, both from the perspective of telegraphing attacks and just looking fantastic, the games vibe and personality is choice, and the gameplay itself is tight as hell. please just give it a shot

i guess thats the beauty of a demo, huh? it lets you figure out if youre gonna like a game before you commit to it. i hope if you take anything away from this 3-part... idk what youd call it, i kinda just gave my opinion about shit. look, im trying to tell you to try these games out yourself, hopefully this helped you figure out what is and isnt worth trying according to your own personal taste. and if youre not sure, give it a try anyway. demos are free, yknow

I’ll rewatch Sunday or later, but overall, I liked this season. There were moments I was not into it and episodes that I loved. Sometimes that was just the jumping around and sometimes that was likely me being too tired to be able to connect the dots. I wish we’d jumped into things a little quicker and had jade around for more of the season, but I’ll take what we can get!!

Now imma either gonna go start from s3 again OR I’m gonna start with blake’s seasons cause I desperately miss her and I do need to watch the later seasons again….

DAILY BRAINROT

My brain has started associating daily brainrot with getting ready to do homework, so now you're officially a part of my getting ready to do homework routine.

Going to try out color-coding the different topics, because I have a lot of ideas and my ADHD is acting up. (I promise I took my meds, it's just One of Those Days.)

I started working on a oneshot that's basically "what if I dumped a bunch of magical, spooky cryptid stuff in here" in response to a prompt from a writing group meeting. I don't really have any plot for it, but I do have a bit of worldbuilding stuff and a very long description of a house.

So it's another Hyrule-centric story featuring fae!Hyrule, except they're all kind of fae/cryptids. Supernatural, I suppose, is a more accurate description. I don't really have a good idea of what everyone will be, but there's going to be shape-shifters and ghosts and lots of creepy vibes because I'm shooting for the unsettling feeling that you get when you're afraid that the red eyes you see in the cornfield belong to something much more horrifying than a barn cat.

I think the term I'm looking for is gothic Midwest horror. Here's a link to the aesthetics wiki's entry on the topic in case you're curious.

Changing topics, I have what is probably too many ideas in my "LU Fanfiction Ideas" file in my notes app, so I'm thinking that maybe, once I've gotten some of my WIPs cleaned up and posted I could try doing some kind of ask game or tag game with them sort of like the WIP ask game that's still sort of circulating. I'd just make a list of the ideas and either write onshots/minifics for asks or have one of the tagged people pick what I work on. I'm not sure yet, mostly because I don't know if people would be interested and which one they'd prefer because I'm a bit too shy to just... toss it out into the fandom tag like that.

Time is still fighting me. It's taking longer than expected because every time I feel like I'm making progress something gets in the way. I really want to get his piece done because it establishes his plotline in the Emotional Support Loftwing series, and is supposed to be the accompaniment to a second piece that's probably from Warriors' point of view.

As a side note to that, I'm very excited to actually get around to that accompaniment because I get to write a whole bit about Sky's house on the Surface. (The town is called New Town and I love it.)

I remember having a cookie run hyper fixation lasting from June 2021-febuarary 2022 honestly around January is when i felt like i was at my worst mentally I was aware by that point that this wasn't good for me and all the fun i had in the summer talking to my friends about it had just withered into angry ranting and them being sick of me talking about it. Around February things still kinda sucked I was still fixated on cr but I was more aware of it around that time i rediscovered my singing monsters i quickly got hooked I got out of my obsession with the game things were going good for me for a change I started actively posting on su again showed oc art talked about my life a bit I rediscovered my old sona and redesigned them then i created ecgf but thats a different story for a different thought dump and it would be TOO long so I would have to make it it's own bulletin 

I remember around the time school started last year I would listen to THIS song a lot I cannot tell if it's good or if im extremely autistic and nostalgic and some how find this enjoyable to listen to and I replayed it multiple times holy shit i must have been desperate

FOR FUCKING REAL but at least using acheron in sim uni lets one skip the non boss battles so thats a massive timesaver and also makes dealing with the swarm a lot less problematic. since you only have to deal with the big guy at the end and not trouble yourself with the occasional encounter on the way. seriously tho acheron is so cracked in sim uni. she let me get the achievement for finishing every battle with all allies at 100% hp. im currently using band of sizzling thunder + inert salsotto [LOL] on her!!! as i said. scuffed but does the job for now. but im gonna get her pioneer diver of dead waters + izumo gensei and takama divine realm since i heard thats whats best on her. and yeah her kit is super fun!! and have fun with that!! honestly fair, tho im just stuck in my holy trinity of hi3 - hsr - noita. also i love the bartender event a lot both story and gameplay wise. very very cool. and thankies!!!!!!!

Spending my Xmas days off cleaning the house

Went to get my annual eye exam today before the end of the year and my prescription hasn't changed which is cool because i have roughly 50 pairs of glasses now and I don't want to have to start over. Makes me want to buy more even though i clearly do not need more but that never stopped me before.

I was going to take myself out for chicken wings so i asked where the best ones are and then went there. It was a sports bar with a big "seat yourself" sign, so I did and promptly got completely ignored by everyone who works there. As i sat on the uncomfortable chair waiting for no one to take my order I noticed how much i hate this place and the crowd that came with it and the many blaring TV with football games on it, so I left and ordered wings from Sheetz from my phone in the parking lot which were ready in the time it took me to drive there and pick them up.

Ate wings with my cats on my comfy sofa in my own time which made me much happier. Got a good shake too for less money than it would have cost me at the sports bar and then i would have had to tip the waitress for giving me shitty service on top of it.

Yeah i know its Christmas Eve Day and a Sunday at that and maybe its not the best day/time to happen into a sports bar that's one of the places staying open for people to drink at on Xmas Eve but whatever. I had a shitty experience and I'm not sorry for leaving.

I'm doing laundry including all the various holiday themed outfits so i can put them away and the bedding and anything I've been meaning to wash and not getting to. I decluttered a lot of the living room and i have intentions of decluttering the bathroom and cleaning the kitchen before the holiday is over.

I have a frozen lasagne for dinner tonight and some texas toast. It's not a typical tradition but it's mine.

I've been sick for a couple of months. All normal stuff just one sickness after another. I havent been well for more than a few days before i get the next thing and i'm so ready to be well again but I didn't go out to the before-christmas parties and I guess im glad because it seems everyone got covid at a thing I skipped so I stopped feeling bad about not going out now I'm well enough to go out again.

In fact ive been collecting clothes and makeup and such. Online shopping while I've been sick for my return to going out again and i just havent gone out again. But its winter now and I ate too much between being sick and inactive and the holidays, i need to diet and exercise again for a bit i think before i get in some of these clothes.

I am expecting to go out for New Years Eve. I like to drink some champagne with strangers in a fancy dress for that holiday.

I have an idea where im going but i dont know what i will wear. But I have choices which is awesome.

I've been taking an estrogen/progesterone cream because I was having hot flashes due to menopause that was waking me up every hour and i was so tired from not being able to sleep properly.

This stuff had me sleeping great right away so I was totally into it but now I'm sleepy all the time even when I don't do anything and I'm cutting the dosage in half hoping that makes some difference.

Not sure what it'll do but im trying it now and not when i need to be at work all day in the morning in case I can't sleep. Last night i did the first half dose and I woke up hungry in the middle of the night but i didn't wake up with a hot flash so it was inconclusive.

I don't miss the hot flashes and I'm sure i'd rather be overtired from estrogen than sleep-deprived from lack of estrogen but hoping to find a happy medium where im not tired all the time.

I dont care a thing about Christmas but im happy to have these days off. We should get a bunch of days off every two or three months just because imho.

To catch up on what you need to catch up on and do Drs appointments and service your car and shit.

I pretty much gave up on 2023 a few weeks ago when I realized I basically wasnt going to be well enough to do any of the fun holiday stuff and I may as well just stay home and clean. I'm fine with all this. It needs to be done and the more I do the more I start to feel like I'm reclaiming my life as I am reclaiming my house.

So its time to fold and put away the laundry in the dryer and rotate in another load.

Its FINE if you want to make a fan dlc thats fuckign awesome but saying its meant to be something that the devs wouldve made and then fucking. immediately saying youre going to rewrite some of the lore is so- what. why. and in the guys intro video too it he shares some of the precursor concept art and i- 0oooooghh i swear to god if he decides that actually THATS what they look like im going to explode we HAVE canon architects they ALREADY EXIST. i dont fucking understnad subnautica fans theres so much more to this game than"oouughh beeg feesh" and its so IRRITATING that nobody seems to engage with the lore. like. ugh i feel like so much of the fandom just REJECTED all of the architect lore that was given in BZ just cus the game wasnt recieved well. i cannot understate how angry it makes me to hear youtubers still call them precursers. thats not what theyre CALLED anymore.

Void exploration is a HUGE gold mine of ideas and its SUCH a WASTE to tack it on to the origional story. it makes no FUCKING SENSE for Riley to want to go into the void they just want to go HOME. they want OFF THE PLANET. thats the point of the game. and it UNDERMINES the game to add void exploration just for the Gameplay part of things.

Alterra has MULTIPLE research facilities built by Below Zero. it would make a lot more sense to make a WHOLE NEW STORYLINE for your big project. That way you can add all your new submarines and give them a reason for being available instead of just "uuhh the fragments of this sub are on these tiny floating islands waay out in the void" that makes no SENSE the fragments for the other subs are FROM THE AROURA CRASH. ough my god i hate it im so angry. the concept doesnt even engage with the void!!!!!! its all just a decending staircase of chunks of rock,,,

it would make a lot more sense for alterra to create a dedicated void research mission, that way you can have a whole game set in the void, with specialized equipment, a new protag, etc without encroaching on what made the first game so special.

Atlas was some kind of Irish man. I don’t know what Fontaine in the game lore was really going for here when it came to his OC but I think I can gather why-

Atlas is supposed to be an every man, a friend, someone to look too for help or just simply get a pint with. Blonde is stereotypically seen both attractive and inviting, or as one word would put it…good. Atlas was designed to look like a friend, so him being blonde makes sense as it makes him look charming and friendly to some.

Fontaine is known for his stereotypes as he went as, in his words- “Hell I was even a china men-“ and not to mention he grew up in a theatre, surrounded by stories and characterizations of people that he will later use to his advantage later on. What I’m saying is, old blonde boy atlas was designed to be a friend.

BAS Atlas though-

Holy shit, that guys design is good it’s just his character they fucked up. From what Google has toldeth me is a typical Irish person would quote-

“The modern Irish usually have light features – pale blue or green eyes, reddish or brown hair and fair skin with freckles. Nov 20, 2021.”

We all know Irish or just any people in general can look different no matter where they came from because genetics is weird and also we’re diverse compared to a bunch of video game characters ANYWAYS WHAT IM SAYING IS- BAS Atlas design is badass, cool, something that looks rugged, mean and in control….but does he look like or even act like a friend like how he was originally portrayed?

Not really? This is transitioning to Atlas to more on BAS in general but I’ll try stay on topic. In BAS his characterization is a bit off to me but then again it’s been AWHILE since I played BAS but from what I remember he was portrayed more as a radical leader than a saviour.

In Bioshock, Atlas through his dialogue comes off as a normal simple man done with all the stuff that Ryan has put them through and gathers those who agree with him to try and together they will take down Ryan, hell in Diane McClintock’s dialogue she mentions that Atlas said that he is no liberator, they don’t exist, these people will liberate themselves. Which sounds heroic as heck.

In BAS however, yes there are posters depicting the man as a pal and there’s I believe a cafeteria area where he was giving out food to the poor but it’s his videos and propaganda that rub me the wrong way. He was depicted as someone who was kind and respectful to anyone, that was by design, he would even hear out Diane McClintock who had it good compared to everyone else and was even Ryan’s mistress but in Burial at Sea, holy shit is he evil to Elizabeth who hasn’t done anything but just exist in the same space as him.

Then again he has nothing to prove to her.

With Jack, it’s different. As though he was under Atlas’s control, he was still semiconscious to make a choice.

If I ever play Burial at Sea again, this is definitely something I should keep in mind,

But my opinion is that BAS Atlas looks awesome it’s just his characterization that makes me go “EW WHAT THE FU-“

I would’ve liked to see more of Blonde Boy heroic Atlas so we could see that dime flip between Good Atlas and Slimy Fontaine more.

But that’s just my thoughts I wanted to get out.

Im gonna start with a thought that's banging its way out of my head: when the 3 of you are cuddling, Zed and Shen take turns being the little spoon (the one in the middle)!!! And they fight about it!!!

Which is incredibly funny because Shen will be getting ready to be in the middle, stop and say he doesn't want to be cuddled by Zed, who'll sigh and say he knows he's lying but then he also doesn't want to cuddle Shen, because he's too stubborn, and you'll have to remind them that you can just be the little spoon

And they'd be quiet because... they wanted to be the ones in the middle... cuddled by both his lovers...

Nights with them would be a game of musical chairs with everyone changing places round and about

They'd have very different ways to celebrate special occasions and show affection, but would join forces to prepare surprises or things for you, though Zed would try not to be in Shen's way and let him do things mostly how he wants it

Shen is an overthinker, so at times he would be very hard on himself and your relationship. That's when the time comes for you and Zed to make his head shut up, grab him his favorite food and say lots of reassuring words

When you wanna be a little shit, you call Zed Usan. Shen can't really do it because it brings some painful memories to the surface, but every time you want to tease him and make Zed just a little bit annoyed, "Usan" it is

You would be seen as a ROYALTY to both kinkou and Order of Shadow members. Like, it's wild, even when both orders don't know about the nature of your relationship with the enemie's leader, they know your importance to their respective leader

Kayn would stop in his tracks when you pass, genuinely worried he'd offend you somehow and anger Zed, and Akali (before she left the kinkou) would stare at you with respect

(Shen is a little terrified at the idea of the Kinkou finding out about your relationship, but Zed thinks it would be just a little funny, though way too messy, which is why the 3 of you agreed on keeping things partially a secret)

If you're from one specific order, the other one wouldn't interfere on your training, but if you're not... damn, those 2 would FIGHT to train you, wanting to teach you what they know! And how they do things!

On that note, you would often have to tell them to shut the fuck up and stop bickering, because they will bicker a lot
