Kabuki adaptation of famous children's book Arashi no Yoru ni (One Stormy Night), coming next September at Kyoto Minamiza theater (additional pics from here).

Telling the unexpected friendship between a goat and a wolf despite their species' reluctance, and life's hardships, this story has been adapted through several medias.

I love to see here how costumers have translated the characters as kabuki roles (wolves as aragoto! mizura hairstyle to mimic goat horns!).

Animated movies have shown me recently that there are two paths one can take after having your mother eaten by wolves

I hate when a movie about a storm bringing anthropromorphized animals closer, putting them through multiple predicaments and at times events that put the characters towards death alters my brain chemistry

AND I HATE HOW IT HAPPENED TWICE

(give both a watch, esp arashi no yoru ni cause its all on yt)
