I'm only going to respond to this at all for my followers.

This is absolutely a scam!

I've seen the same message crop up from different URLs, and a quick search of the person's URL as well as the tag #donation scam to see if anyone is talking about them confirms that this person has remade their blog quite a few times already.

Folks on Tumblr are generally very charitable (a good thing usually) and asking for money has become common, so it's very easy to present a story of someone in distress and make it look legit. The unfortunate reality is that most people who don't just make donation posts but also further go into random people's inboxes are likely scammers. Or even if by some slim chance they're not, they're not effective by being too invasive and overstepping normal donation etiquette, so they need to be told no and not have their actions encouraged.

If you have any doubts, look carefully at their blog, and also search their URL or scam tags to see if anyone else is having the same problem with them. Some scammers, like this one, may fill their blog with a bunch of stuff---reblogs, likes, etc.---to make it look legit at first glance, but their archive will reflect that they are a very new blog and likely made the account solely for the scam. (For this blog, they liked/reblogged a bunch of stuff and made a donation post a couple of days ago on the 18th but have no previous blog history beyond that.)

Here are some (likely not a complete list) of the other URLs this particular scammer recently went under that I pulled from other people's complaint posts:

Hi, I'm Loo(or Alex), I'm a disabled queer artist and writer as well as a furry vtuber who streams four days a week on twitch(mostly Minecraft but also Soulsborne games and a variety of other stuff).

I've had an account here since 2014, but I didn't use it. I didn't realize at the time how frowned-upon it is to have multiple themes in one blog (which is why my main in basically abandoned right now, I'm not playing Sims at the moment and it accidentally turned into a TS3 blog).

I get it, people don't want to have their dashboard cluttered up with stuff they don't care about, so they'll unfollow, block, or avoid people who post too many things they don't like.

When the twitter and reddit exodus happened, there were a lot of etiquette guides being passed around and I realized I'd apparently been making an unforgivable mistake for a couple of years by that point: liking things. I used to put heart stickers on basically everything. FYP stuff, people I was following, even if I had no idea what the character or who the person was, I just had to stamp heart stickers on basically everything. Partially because it sucks to get ignored, I wanted them to have at least one person who gave a shit about their post, I dunno. That was a really hard habit to break, especially if there was a post sitting in front of me with 0 notes, it should not have been as difficult as it was to resist putting a like on it.

The guides recommended creating a blog and interacting with people that way, that was the way people operate on here, I guess, so I did. I like pastels, I like grumpery, I avoided "offensive kawaii" because that stuff sucks, no offense to people who enjoy it, it's just rude for the sake of being rude.

Long story short, it's been over a year and I'm finding out there's basically no one like me on here, not just the heart sticker thing but also the fact I can't compartmentalize myself enough to fit in anyplace. There was a point at the beginning when I was spending way too long digging through old archives to find stuff that might have been out of circulation, ended up getting a really sore neck and back, but I still hoped I could find people like me and it might have been worth it.

There are a lot of pastel blogs and I do appreciate the interactions I get, but I know I post a lot of stuff they don't care about or don't like, I feel bad for everyone to walks into the morgue expecting something else and unfollows or even blocks me for being annoying or cringe, sorry about that. This is me, unfortunately.

I'll be adding stuff to my drafts and posting as usual until I run out of stuff, then I'll just let the queue run until it empties. I'll be here sometimes, it's just a lot of effort to be lonely, that's all.

Hey.

I'm not gonna be working on this for a while. I know it's been a couple months, I just don't have the motivation. Think of this as an indefinite hiatus.

A huge thank you to @narratorstrash who reblogged every post I ever made, and @cobbleztone who keeps calling me a nya simp

1.Lack of motivation.

3.I like the au, but the way I wrote it is kind of meh to me.

I might rewrite the earlier chapters and make new stuff for it.

If I do that,

1. It won't be an ask blog/the asks won't move the story along.

2. I'd plan ahead. I started this blog on a whim.

3. I'd have a few characters that stay in the forefront of the fic. Most likely Clay, MK, and Lloyd, but a few others too. (Acronix is one, I really wanted to do something with him, but I didn't know how to work him into the main cast.)

I think I’ve talked about all that stuff before but if you want more details or specifics just ask!

For the last couple years, my really big influences have all been other artists I’ve met online. I mean I made a whole book with @ordheist and @bagb0ss. There’s a sort of loose cloud of (mostly) SFF artists that I’ve been really lucky to work and speak with and we all kinda know or know of each other or end up in the same Discord servers, or working on the same RPGs, etc. I’m not gonna link everybody but if you go through the interviews I’ve conducted for my newsletter or check out my side blog you’ll start to figure out who I mean (seriously a lot of these people are coming to tumblr now from twitter and I’ve been reblogging the hell out of them.) Seeing all the stuff my peers are putting out and talking with them is the source of like 90% of the ideas for my personal illustrations these days. It’s cool to be part of a community. I wish there were more opportunities to meet in person, but it’s still cool.

The other stuff that’s really been in my head lately is art that’s less illustrative, more abstract and graphical. Not pure abstraction mind you, but I’ve really been digging stuff that’s more about communicating a concept, feeling, piece of information, or idea than a narrative. More about design and composition than rendering. I recently read Philip Meggs’ History of Graphic Design and that’s turned me on to so new many artists and styles. In particular I’ve fallen in love with all the Vienna Secession guys, the Glasgow Style artists, and all the graphic and bookmaking ideas that came out of the Arts and Crafts movement. I don’t know how I want to work these ideas into my drawings yet and I haven’t had a lot of time to experiment lately but they're definitely bouncing around in my head.

Update 19.06.2024:

this blog is mostly an archive now, friends. I’m sorry that I was silent for so long. The russian SCP fandom wasn’t such a good place lately, because of Duksin’s conflict (basically it was solved a couple of years ago and everything is okay now, but still, it affected the spirit of Russian community.)

My internet space of my favorite scp blogs outside tumblr kinda changed and the memes and stuff were not that funny, innocent or creative anymore. I was finding them overly offensive, abstract or repetitive, or simply not as understandable and simple as they used to be. The SCP community evolved, learning new types of objects, new canon lore, and I wasn’t quick enough to get in the train and understand why no one jokes about the « classic » SCPs anymore. last time i went on SCP fest in Moscow i met lots of people who weren’t as fun-loving kid as I am, they were more dedicated to creating the universe and the canon lore, to keep the site’s mission and decide global problems, basically, all the community grew up, while I didn’t. I wasn’t a « member », the « administrator », the « translator », the « writer, editor, moderator », the representative who helped with acting. I was just a fan. And I am just a fan. The fandom went empty and there were no more kids and artists and memedealers who used to chill, have fun and make stuff. so I couldn’t find any content for a while.

And moreover, I changed my interests and found myself new things to hyperfixate on.

Im sorry to tell you all of this, but I have no regrets. I know that you guys and girls are an amazing community, that keeps living, creating and sharing your pieces of art and stuff. I may not be able to bring something personal in scp fandom and I stopped when I had nowhere to take memes for translations from, but still, SCP is a cozy little fandom for me. I’m glad you guys and girls were here with me all throughout the years. I’m glad I ever had this experience to translate memes for you and that I’ve met so much people here. You guys and girls are amazing. For every follower or every person ever interacted with my blog I say thank you. I’m really happy that you all were here with me.

Cute shit that anti's like to flock too. It sucks bc I adore cute things (I also adore cute thing + dark/problematic themes) and pastel colors. And this interest is really important to me because I spent a majority of my youth rejecting "girly" things bc surprise surprise it turns out I'm trans (NB) and was desperately trying to distance myself from being associated as a girl. It took years of work to allow myself to enjoy "girly" things without feeling guilty or like I was lying to myself. Anti's will have to pry my love for cute shit and pastels from my cold dead problematic fingers.

These posts don't get too many notes daily so it's relatively easy for me to do a quick search of some key words on individual blogs who interact with my work and then block on site. Sometimes however I feel a little unsure about the blocking because sometimes the only results that come up and stink of anti behavior are 3 to 6 years old. I'm left wondering if I should really block these people because none of their recent stuff sets off red flags. Like there is a possibility that they're no longer like that and just haven't bothered to purge their blog. I get that it's okay for me to set boundaries and be safe, but I also feel guilty bc if it is people who have changed/ex-anti's I don't want to contribute to the issue of isolating people that leave toxic groups. Since, like, the threat of isolation is something that's used to keep people from leaving cult-like spaces.

I understand that I'm overthinking a lot, and me blocking these people is probably not doing what I worry about. I know it's not worth my energy to worry about, therapy taught me that. It's just practicing telling your brain to cut it out is forever a journey.

But anyways, I was wondering what your guy's opinion is, especially for those who regularly block on site to avoid anti's if the only anti stuff you can find on their blog is years old. And if you don't is there a threshold? Like how recent does the anti behavior have to be for you to consider it a reason to block?

(I know you, OTNF, have mention you only block people who are a brand of asshole at you and not preemptively block like I mention, but maybe some of the people who read your stuff do? But I'd also like to hear your opinion if you want to share it/have something to add. I enjoy your responses and want to thank you for being consistently informative and interesting. That's probably worded weird lol, but yeah, thank you for taking time to read this.)

I do preemptively block people, but it's generally for seeming extremely annoying at the time I block them, usually in their tumblr header or an inflammatory comment on another anti's post. These aren't subtle people is what I'm saying.

When I block preemptively, it's less about protecting myself and more about taking pleasure in going "U Suck!" even if they never know.

I generally don't bother digging back through someone's archive unless I'm just enjoying looking at the posts. Whether they'll have changed is hard to say though. 3 years just isn't that long, but it also depends if we're talking 16-19 or 40-43.

It's not your job to help cult victims escape though. Sure, it's nice if they don't get shunned, yadda yadda, but you welcoming them to your personal tumblr is not a public service you're honor bound to provide.

Also, maybe they haven't posted any anti bullshit in 3 years, but have they posted the opposite? I see no reason they should be coddled for once holding reprehensible views and merely ceasing to be vocal about them.

Helloo it's been awhile ;-;

A lot has happened in my life in the past couple of years since I deleted my original blog. I did save my username on a diff tumblr account I have, for some reason I couldn't 100% get rid of it ya know?

Anyways, I decided to make a new blog and start fresh kinda. I recently moved into my own apartment, first time living on my own, and I just had this want to play sims. I backed all my cc, sims, etc. up on mediafire like a year ago and I'm really glad I did!

I kind of just plan on posting pics and probably gameplay because I really want to play the game with my OCs. For the time being I don't plan on making cc like I used to. I no longer have any of the programs on my new pc and the thought of redownloading/re-teaching myself how to do it is exhausting lmao I deleted the blog all my cc was on because I wasn't the original creator of the website and I kindly asked who that was to delete the page. I do want to put all my old downloads in one place for everyone to access because I've seen some people bulk reupload my stuff, so this would just be easier. I think I'm going to put them on a patreon page because it's easy to use and it'll be my own little archive of my creations. (Not behind a paywall at all btw lolol)

(I may post SL here and there because it is still something I enjoy playing every once in a while. I work full time so I don't have a lot of freetime to do my hobbies like I used to but it's a creative outlet I love to useee ;)

Hey. I saw your post about gftwd wanting revenge, and I feel like I have to say something because this situation is so out of hand. You can read this or you can tell me to fuck off, but I want this off my chest and you should know what’s happening. It’s gonna be long, but sorry. I was a follower of her original account from very early on and one of her ''Discord girls'' who she became tight with. I’m ashamed to say that I went along with the questionable things she said and did because I lowkey felt flattered she was my friend and shared stuff with me she didn’t post on her blog, like Evan’s Amazon profile and his Airbnb profile. This was before he privated them and only a few of us had that info back then and I never saw it talked about on here or anywhere else like Twitter. She is not a mentally stable person, she seriously got consumed with Frances before and now she is consumed with your blog and followers. She never deleted Discord, at least not her own account because we had a private DM chat going that went on even after she archived her other blog.. yes, archived. It’s not deleted. Ever since your blog appeared she has made no secret of absolutely loathing you, mostly because her former followers went over to vent to you and she blames you for anons attacking her over Frances, because you said she slut shamed her. She feels humiliated by the situation and mad that now she only has a handful of followers since you ‘’made’’ her delete. When she remade her blog she made some post about having been in the hospital for treatment and that wasn’t even true. She is hellbent on getting revenge, and she is doing everything she can to dox you. She is always talking about an uncle she has who works in cyber-security and I think she really believes she can track people down and make them pay in some sort of way. For all her talk of IP addresses and legal action, she has told me that the only info she has is based on visits to her page so she doesn’t actually know for certain who is individually sending each ask. But she has said she has your IG profile (IDK if that’s true) and that she feels like you’ve wronged her so severely she is willing to lie in order to ruin your reputation in the way she feels you ruined hers. This includes spoofing IP addresses and doctoring screenshots/photos, which she asked ME to do because she knows I do a bit of photo editing and graphic design (not for bad sh*t, legitimately). I didn’t do it. That was the last straw. I told her I feel like this isn’t necessary and that it’s better to move on and never post about this situation again so people will forget, to just be the bigger person in this situation and take the high road.. but she doesn’t plan to do that. When I told her I feel like this has gone way too far and that I can’t support doing this stuff she just blocked me on Discord. If you post this she’ll see it and obviously know who it is but I don’t give a sh*t anymore. I deleted my own Tumblr a while back due to mental health concerns and the amount of time I was spending here and I think she needs to do the same for her OWN good. I regret ever visiting her page and involving myself in any way. I wasn’t even a huge stan of Evan’s, I was just curious and went down the rabbit hole. I’m deleting this app off my phone so even if she decides to make a post calling me out and threatening to sue me I won’t be here to see it. Peace.

well, here we go :) i really have very little else i can say about this situation, other than... well, you know. this is not anywhere even in the ball park of normal and acceptable behavior. and i already knew that someone on here was stalking my IG page because i received an anonymous ask about it a couple of weeks back (march 7). i guessed it was her, because i don't know who else would care enough to do something creepy like that. you would have to make an effort to connect a cartoony AI generated photo of me i posted on here to an IG profile following people associated with evan. i do not post anything fandom related on my IG profile so it's not like you would just stumble upon it like whoopsie i think that's tweam. i privated my page and got a request right after from a nondescript profile and deleted it. for someone who has spent the last several weeks proclaiming they are not a bully, but rather, the bullied.. this behavior is mighty strange. oh well. the fact remains, you cannot control what other people do. but i sincerely hope that she seeks help and stops posting about my blog, sending me anonymous threats, and now i guess attempting to doxx me! oh what fun it is to be on tumblr in 2023.

i'm going to bed. this shit seems exhausting to me, i can't imagine how much mental energy it takes up to be hyper-focused on being hateful when you can literally just do anything else and be better spending your precious time. i'll resume my regular evan peters gossip tomorrow as time permits. or maybe gftwd will show up at my front door with a chainsaw or some shit lmfao goodnight.

Stepping away

Hey guys, I know I have been MIA for a while and would like to thank everyone who still has patience and stuck around, unfortunately, I feel like my obsession with Star Wars has ended - it was fading for the past couple of months but I think it's really gone now. the hyperfixation faded and now looking at it just kind of brings me guilt for not working on stuff.

I have started a new blog @by-the-erdtree where I just kind of post a bit of everything art-wise, right now, it's bg3 and Elden Ring, but I think it will evolve as it goes where I think people expect certain things from this blog.

Yeah, I think I will be stepping away from Star Wars, I will keep this blog around as an archive, and maybe one day I will revive it, but like don't put hope on it. The queue is going to run until it runs out, and i might rb some chiss stuff. I just want to let my mutuals and followers know how it is going.

Hello Friends! I'm avoiding doing actual work that I'm getting paid for, so I thought I'd document some of my history on Tumblr:

My first Tumblr post was on August 24, 2009. I was a LiveJournal guy, but my gf at the time (Kristi Hart) used Tumblr. I joined because of her.

My first posts for the first couple of years were actually syndicated from LiveJournal. I didn't reblog anything or post any content original to Tumblr. Then in 2011 I started syndicating pictures to Tumblr using a site I'm surprised still exists today called Moby! I just looked, all of the pictures are still there! Here's one of my kids from 2011 at the Salton Sea.

A year later, in June of 2012 I decided my Tumblr needed a focus. I had a pretty large collection of behind-the-scene images from movies, so that became all I posted.

Some random examples: Behind the scenes of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, The Dark Crystal, Phantasm II, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Neverending Story

That continued on for several months, I probably posted 100+ of them.

In July of 2012 I created my @frankenbuddha account, since @dasenergi was solely "Behind The Scenes" movie posts, I needed someplace to post all my nerdy, lgbt, Buddhist, spiritual stuff.

By the end of 2012, I had given up on the "Behind The Scenes" posts on DasEnergi. They weren't getting any likes.

I abandoned FrankenBuddha and resumed posting all my nerdy, lgbt, Buddhist, and spiritual stuff on DasEnergi.

Two years later, my youngest child joined Tumblr in 2014. They were 13 years old. They came to Tumblr for all the cat posts! So I then used Frankenbuddha to collect all the cat and animal posts I could find, and share it with them. FrankenBuddha is STILL cute animal and humor posts now.

On DasEnergi, I started making a lot of my own memes and then added a bunch of tags to them, trying to attract followers. Here is one that was 100% true "I am desperate to just really connect with one other person." I was so depressed and felt so alone at the time. Here's another, "I have a crush on everybody who is nice to me."

I also posted a lot of selfies, trying to make that human connection with others. Here I am trying to look tough.

I also posted more about my life and my feelings back then. There's this one: "I’m considering shaving the beard. Maybe I’ll find someone who’ll love me if I’m clean-cut." I felt so broken. So unlovable.

Here's a creepy one from a year later, November 2013 - "Why yes, I did just go through the GPOY tag and liked a bunch of strangers pictures. I couldn’t help myself. They’re cute!"

As my tags strategy wasn't working, I was Liking people's posts trying to make connections and build my followers.

For those who may be too young to remember, GPOY is an acronym for Gratuitous Picture of Yourself. I don't think it's used anymore, is it?

Looking back on my archive, I had also realized in 2012-2013 that the only way to get followers on Tumblr was to reblog others work. So I started doing that a lot more.

I've always collected quotes. In high school I would spend my lunch break in the school library reading quotes from Bartlett's Book of Familiar Quotations. In 2013, I see I started posting a lot more text posts of quotes from my archive. I remember Tumblr even had an automated template I'd use for quotes.

Wow, yeah, as I'm scrolling through the archive they're mostly text posts, of quotes.

In 2014 I see I started posting A LOT more, and it seems to be 50/50 memes and text quotes. I also see fewer posts about my life and fewer pictures of myself. My mental health was much better. I wasn't seeking validation from Tumblr. This was the year I had my Awakening experience and fully embraced the magical and the spiritual. This was also the year I started dating Geronimo, my first boyfriend.

Right now I'm scanning through April 2014 and it looks nearly identical to what I'm posting now. Yep! The blog as you all know it now has been around for nearly ten years.

I currently have 302 posts in my queue. I only queue five posts a day between 7pm and 10pm (Pacific time).

@male1971 has been around since September 2016 for all my nerdy posts, most from my childhood. (I identify as a male and I was born in 1971.)

@bi-buddha has been around since February 2019 for my LGBT posts.

@moovees and @melodiousmonk are both new, created last year for my music and movies posts.

And that's about it for my main side blogs. If you actually read this whole thing, THANK YOU for your interest in my Tumblr history.

I had some cringeworthy moments there, mostly healing from my 15 year relationship with my ex-wife and my five year relationship with Kristi Hart. But I'd like to think I made it out of those dark times a better, wiser, person. (Or I'm in deep denial about how depressed and messed up I still am.)

Hey there

I only found this blog recently and I love it, the story line and the artwork along with it, it's a shame you had to discontinue the comic because I enjoyed it.

There are not many JSAB blogs that I like I'll say, but there's been a decrease in them as the hype went away, I found this in my recommended section after I was going through some hard times myself.

After Afrothunder left the community to fix her mental health problems (she was quite the inspiration and helped me through my darkest hours at one point) there wasn't anything left here in this community a side from a couple of blogs here and there I wanted to start my own blog.

But I ran into a major downfall almost immediately, how do you get people to look at your stuff, I know there are a lot of blogs that don't get noticed and run down to nothing but how did you do it or when did people start noticing your work?

I'm not asking for the sake of followers but for other people who are scared to ask this or have a blog of their own like me.

I'm still making JSaB art and I've started making a new JSaB AU centered comic (working on chapter 2 atm. 10 pages, fully colored, background + 6 characters) if that's something you wanna see (on my artblog, @zimcard-artblog ) . I haven't made some crisis-au stuff in awhile due to being busy but I'll get back to sharing more lore and other stuff like short comics and whatnot.

Also, yeah, JSaB has been up for awhile. 2 years or so? Man, back in the early days, there were so many early starting comics that were amazing. I honestly miss it back then and wished I was more active like I am right now. Ya' know, the community is still kicking- especially in different social media platforms from my knowledge. I, personally, do NOT suggest Amino. Safe yourself the trouble and back away from it.

Oh! Afrothunder is back from my knowledge but she is doing it in her own pace for the sake of her mental health, it's a genuine shame to hear how someone so talented and kind is being treated so poorly by a bunch of impatient, immature, and even heartless people over her work. This has happened to a lot of people who make popular comics online, often on their own pace, which they tend to run into a bunch of people who are very disrespectful of their personal lives. I've talked to Afrothunder Waaaaaaay back, made an ask collab once with her regarding Blixer and Cyan in this blog. We don't talk now but I like to think of her as an old friend because she was super nice and welcoming back then when we first started talking on the server, it was super neat. Wishing her the best and hope she's doing well right now <:]

I think it's a matter of getting recognized enough so you can promote any projects you're working on. I started drawing fanart for JSaB the moment I finished watching the playthroughs, it eventually garnered an audience who are into the same media I was in which I gained new followers.

So, basically; get recognized. Tagging your stuff of said media you're basing your post about makes it easier for people to find it. Share some art, doodles, concepts, whatever you have and what you want to share with the people. Eventually you'll notice the numbers rising.

It usually went on like that for me until I end up having an idea- like, "Oh, I have an AU! I wanna share that AU and make a comic out of it!" And so I started sharing small concepts regarding the AU.

Sketches, doodles, designs, short comics, and explanations. It was like an early beta of the project I was working on and when it got enough people interested; That's when you kickstart the final piece that goes "Hey, I made a comic! Check it out!"

If you're doing it on tumblr, really advise to make another blog as a sort of archive for said comic because it makes it easier for people to find the comic and read back to it whenever they want to. Accessibility is key.

This actually applies for making askblogs as well or any sort of extra blog for something specific.

Then, with all of that, you go on your own pace. It's a hard start but you'll be able to go with your own flow, take your time, and remember to prioritize YOURSELF first before other things. If you receive any sort of hate or just weird messages, just delete them on the spot because you are responsible for your own inbox.
