an irondad frozen au that is both not entirely thought out and incredibly thought out at the same time. buckle up. i have a lot to say about this.
the fight with thanos is much, much earlier in the timeline. tony doesn't die from the snap exactly, but he isn't the same. essentially, the stones embedded themselves in his hand. and sure it's weird, but thanos is gone and the world is safe, so it’s a small price to pay. regardless, tony’s seen first hand (no pun intended) how dangerous the stones can be, and is very cognizant of the fact that people may not find it comforting that iron man has the very stones that wiped half the population and nearly destroyed the world, so it’s decided that this new development will stay under wraps for a while.
and all tony really wants is to relax, maybe move out to a secluded cabin by a lake, but there are people who have lost their jobs, homes, family, and he feels partially responsible so, of course, stark industries helps however they can - including hiring a certain recently widowed and homeless nurse for their medbay, and offering her a place to stay while she tries to find someplace new for herself and her wide-eyed ten year old nephew, who is practically buzzing with excitement to be "living with mr. iron man stark sir!"
but the kid is smart, real smart. and tony - against his better judgement and newly bejeweled arm - takes a liking to him. with his aunt's permission, he takes him down to his lab and honestly, tony has never seen anyone so excited. one trip turns to two, then five, and before tony knows it, one peter parker has somehow wedged his way into tony's heart.
peter's full of surprises - the biggest being that once seeing the after effects of the war with thanos, peter's not scared. he's actually floored at how "awesome it is that iron man is magic now!"
so, lab nights became magic nights, too. peter was just so amazed by it, that tony felt like these stones could actually be used for good. they talked about ways the stones can be integrated into tony’s suits, how they could help so many people, how one day tony will build that cabin by the lake, and everyone will come, and they can create anything and everything.
and that was fine, really.
until peter got hurt.
now, tony's seen a lot of scary shit. but watching peter crumble to the ground unconscious and unresponsive, and a gray streak appearing in his hair where he was hit, that was definitely up there.
they rush him to strange, who is, thankfully, able to help. "help", meaning erasing all memories of the stones from peter's mind to keep him safe. they were lucky, apparently, that peter was hit in the head, rather than his heart.
tony won't risk it, though. not again. so, since that night, he's kept himself a safe distance from everyone he dared to care about - especially peter, a kid who almost died because of tony's carelessness.
peter didn't understand. but tony would rather live with peter broken hearted because of him than peter dead because of him.
but peter parker is relentlessly stubborn. and his hero shutting him out one day out of nowhere? that won't fly.
three years pass, and everyday, peter knocks on tony's door and talks to him. tony never responds (he wants to, really, he missed this kid) in hopes that one day, peter would just stop. he never does.
so, tony listens to all of it. he listens to him rant about how some kid with a stupid name keeps bugging him. he listens to him pridefully boasts about how he got a full-ride scholarship to midtown high which tony knows nothing about, and had absolutely no part in.
he listens to peter hold back tears as he tells tony how he had to bury his aunt. listen to him come to terms with how he is the one parker left, worry about where he was going to go now, quietly ask why wasn't tony there, up until he is reduced to hitched breaths and tears.
(tony sits against the door throughout all of it, wishing he could hug the kid on the other side.)
time goes on, peter stays in the tower until they can find him a family, and peter parker lives a lonely little life, wanting desperately to be wanted.
his life becomes decidedly less lonely after a certain gala to celebrate five years since tony stark saved the world with a single snap, as well as tony stark's first public appearance since. for peter, what really matters is that this marks the first time in what feels like forever that he's going to be around people that aren't pepper, rhodey, or happy. he has his first conversation with tony that lacks a door and involves actual responses, and it's awkward and weird, but peter can pretend he''s ten again, in tony's lab, and everything is okay.
he meets this man, quentin beck, who says he knew his parents, and cares about what peter has to say, and wants to adopt him. wants him. and his lonely little life seems to be growing into something full, and happy, and -
and tony says no.
which is rich, considering he does everything in his power to avoid peter. and peter, after years of being ignored, finally lets himself be angry. angry that tony shut him out - and the world out - with no reason why. angry that tony wasn't there when he had to bury may. angry that tony thinks he has a say in this, but he isn’t his dad,
and then, there’s a flash of something, a crumbling building, and tony stark, his fist glowing with infinity stones no one knew he wielded, watching guests cower in fright because of him. because he has the very things that almost destroyed the world, and he hid that.
and shit. peter knew this was his own, stupid fault.
tony disappears to god knows where, and despite many protests, peter sneaks out to find him. he doesn’t remember much from when he was younger, but he remembers a cabin and a lake. and that’s a start.
he asks beck to try his best to keep press away from the tower. he’s insistent that he will find tony, and even if tony was bothered by peter, he would never hurt him. he runs into a scary girl, mj, and her much-less-scary friend, ned, who decide to help him as long as peter can slip their resumes into the stark internship files. and, surely, you can imagine what will come next.
i could keep going, but this is probably long enough as it is. but… please. take this. write it. draw it. make something of it. ask me about it. i’ve yet to see this done and i am begging someone to take this silly irondad frozen au from my incapable hands and give it the life it deserves.

Hi Hello apparently I didn't empty my tank yet.
So fun general headcanon: Emmet likes to cook. He makes most of the meals in the house and often brings homemade food to special events as a way to show his appreciation of whoever he has over. It's how he relieves stress, shows affection, tries new things, it's one of his key interests beyond battling.
This has slightly different connotations in Battle Addict. See Emmet studies the physical properties of pokemon, how they tick and how to make them stop ticking. A key part of his studies is sketching pokemon and outlining their internal structures, but there's no teacher like experience. His favourite way to improve his knowledge is dealing with the subject hands on, and cooking is a very good way to do that. He specifically practices butchery, breaking pokemon down section by section, noting the musculature, skeletal structure, and organs inside. This information helps him to find weakness in an opponent's pokemon while knowing how to cover his own.
This also serves as bonding time for him and Ingo because Ingo gets to be sous chef while Emmet turns a monster into mincemeat. He hands him the different tools he needs and they converse while Emmet slices and picks apart the carcass. Emmet also gets to explain the inner workings of the pokemon, which both of them enjoy analyzing and discussing.
The book Emmet is holding is his "butchery book", which is really just a collection of different biology textbooks he uses as guides to best break down carcasses. They always end up getting messy and after a certain point, he just stops caring and uses it, dirty as it may be. They have to be stored in a sealed container away from their other study materials, and are only ever brought out for processing. Emmet is probably the only person who can stand to be next to the stench of the concentrated dried blood throughout the pages, Ingo usually wears some kind of face cover when Emmet is working.
And for those who want to see the real mess of the work:

Washing up is half the labour of studying through butchery.

CALL ME M O N S T E R
➽ PAIRING : Vampire Hyunjin x Fem Reader
➽ SUMMARY : Vampire Hyunjin has lived hundreds of years alone, only leaving his castle when the thirst becames too unbearable, so what happened when a pretty faced broken human asks to be his blood pet?
➽ WARNINGS : Mention of Abuse, body bruises and injuries, implied starvation
[PART 2] [How it's like Living with Vampire Hyunjin]
Note : i Don't usually like Vampire AUs but JJAM Hyunjin did something to me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was a big dark castle just outside of the kingdom no one dares to go there, everyone knew who was inside it or more like…what was inside, the monster hidden  inside away from their sight
The last time someone visited that castle was 10 years ago, and it was an army of men looking to take the monster down that was terrorizing the whole kingdom, however it ended up with the kingdom missing a whole army
A deal between the king and the monster was made that day, whenever he's hungry he will go and pick a random human from the kingdom and suck their blood, however he will only suck enough to feed his hunger and not to kill the human
He might be a monster but he does have morals, and he doesn't wish to kill someone unnecessary, so that leads him to now staring at the human who just entered his castle, he was confused only one human came?
Why would someone in their right mind visit his castle and at night at that?! were they looking for death? When the vampire took a closer look at the human he could see the torn worn out clothes, the messy hair, the bare dirty feet
He growled loudly and apparently that was enough to have the human heartbeat picking path, and falling on the marble floor whimpering loudly, the human was scared? Good he smiled maliciously it's been awhile since he last had fun
With one snap the light of the candles went out, and the human heartbeat was deliciously getting more and more louder, in a second he stood behind the human flicking the lights back on, you havn't noticed that the vampire moved behind you yet, too frozen in fear to notice
“You dare come to my castle human?” In a second there was a loud yell followed by backing up to the wall trying to get as far away from the monster as possible, Hyunjin smiled making it a point to show off his thin tall fangs, you kept staring at him in fear
“Are you just going to keep staring little one”  as if on cue the your eyes widened as if they remembered why they're here in the first place, you quickly got on your knees bowing deeply making you head touch the floor “ple-se m-y lo-o-ord” the human had manners good
He chuckled darkly “what are you here for?” The poor thing shook in fear as Hyunjin got closer but you didn't dare to move you just lifted you head up eyes glossing over “p-le-ase let m-me be your b-blood pet” now that took the vampire by surprise “what?”
you couldn't hold back anymore, your tears finally fell and Hyunjin doesn't usually care much about human tears, he was used to seeing their tears, but this time it was different the human Infront of him was not crying in fear like the others, they were crying in despair what an awful smell “I will p-proof I'm worthy please just try me”
Hyunjin's eyes narrowed as he took a step closer to you "You're willing to be my blood pet? That's a bold move, little one." He smiled, his fangs glinting in the dim light.
you nodded vigorously, your eyes brimming with tears. "I-I will do anything, p-please just Take me In"
“What makes you think I need one in the first place?” “You don't like visiting the kingdom, you h-hate how the people scream” That was true; he hated how much men and women would scream as soon as they saw him. “What's in it for you?” He raised his brow.
Who in their right mind would make an offer like that to a vampire? “I don't wa-anna go back there” “What's your name?” “Y/N, my lord” “Ok, little Y/N, I want you to get in the shower and scrub off all the dirt on your body” your eyes widened, does that mean he will take you in?
you looked around, oh yeah right; you didn't know where the bathroom is. “Follow me” Hyunjin wasn't actually going to let you stay in his castle forever; he would just suck you dry and kill you, morals or not. you did trespass on his property. and he does not appreciate that.
He opened the door waiting for you to go inside, and he stood there waiting. “So?” you looked at him confused with those round innocent-looking eyes. “S-so?” you managed to say back. Hyunjin chuckled. “Are you going to shower with clothes on?”
Realization hit you; he wanted you to strip right in front of him. you looked down, no backing down. Y/N, if you disobey his very first order, he will kick you out or even worse kill you. you did say you would do anythin...
You took a shaky breath, willing your shaky hands to move and take off your tattered shirt.
you didn't dare to look at the vampire; didn't dare to see the look in the vampire's eyes once he sees how your body looked like. Once you were just about to pull your pants off, you heard an angry growl. and a door slamming you freezes; fuck now you're dead.
he was gone he left you alone in the big fancy bathroom your legs gave out as you sobbed too scared to move too scared to even think what he will do with you next
“And they call me a fucking monster!”
Hyunjin didn't believe his eyes; he only asked the human to strip to see how far they would take it, what was their breaking point. but he did not expect to see the bruises, cuts, and degrading words engraved in the human's skin.
His blood boiled he knows he's a vampire he knows humans are usually smaller than him but you were too small too skinny TOO FUCKING DESPRATE
The fact that you would rather be a blood bank instead of living with your own kind made him Furios, he knows he shouldn't care but this whole thing was just unexpected
Now he fucking knows why this little human wanted to be his blood pet; why they wanted to leave that fucking hell hole and live with a vampire.

Master Post for Ateez Adventure Time AU
Ok let's get into it! I'll be adding to this post whenever I post anything new for the AU! I'm going to try to organize everything so that it's in chronological order of the story! There are a few arcs I've got planned too so I'll try to make everything as clear as possible haha
(also I do my best but sometimes I confuse myself with exact ages of the characters and exactly like. what time of year things would take place, but think of it like any CN show we grew up with - time is seemingly an illusion if I don't think about it too much...)
Also!! Thank you so much to everyone who has said they enjoy my au!! you help me stay motivated! I'm having so much fun drawing this stuff ♡
Lineup for ref:

----
The party was in full swing by the time you and Bucky arrived—packed with sweaty, overhyped teenagers celebrating the team’s win, red plastic cups littering every surface, the air thick with cheap beer and bad decisions. Someone had strung up white Christmas lights around the backyard, giving the whole place a soft glow, but it did nothing to cut through the chaos.
You weren’t even sure who actually lived here, just that it was a senior with rich parents who conveniently weren’t home, and that half the damn school had shown up to celebrate.
The music pulsed through your chest, bass-heavy and a little too loud, but it didn’t matter. Because Bucky was there, pressed close as he navigated you through the swarm of people like he always did, one hand grazing the small of your back, the other lifting in a lazy wave whenever a teammate shouted his name.
“Stay put,” he murmured near your ear once you’d finally managed to carve out a small space near the bonfire. “I’ll grab us a drink.”
You nodded, watching as he disappeared into the crowd.
The night was warm, the heat of the fire licking at your skin. You weren’t fully relaxed, there was something about nights like these, about parties, about being surrounded by people who were too drunk to notice if something went wrong, but Bucky made it better. He always did.
A few minutes later, he returned, grinning as he held out a red cup. “Here, got you something good.”
The second you caught the scent, rich, smoky, unmistakable—your stomach twisted.
Whiskey.
The smell hit you like a punch to the gut, sharp and suffocating, dragging you back to memories you wanted buried. The way the bottle slammed onto the counter. The way his words slurred together, thick with anger. The way your mother sat frozen at the table, staring at the wall, waiting for it to pass.
Your fingers curled into your palm. “I—I can’t drink that.”
Bucky frowned, holding it out a little more. “What? Since when does my girl turn down a drink?”
Your throat tightened. “Just… not whiskey.”
He opened his mouth, probably to make some joke about you being picky but then, you saw it. The exact second he realized.
His entire body stiffened, his eyes widening just slightly before flickering with something heavy. His grip on the cup faltered. “Oh, fuck.” His voice was barely above a whisper, rough with something close to regret. “Shit, I—I’m sorry.”
You shook your head quickly, forcing a small, tight smile. “Bucky, it’s not a big deal.”
“The hell it’s not,” he muttered, setting the cup down so fast it nearly toppled over. “Stay here, I’ll be right back….again.”
You watched as he vanished again, weaving back through the house, his shoulders tense.
For some reason, your chest ached.
You hadn’t expected him to care so much. It was just a drink. Just a stupid drink at a stupid party. But Bucky had looked at you like he’d failed you somehow..
When he returned, he had two cold beers in his hands. He pressed one into yours before cracking open his own, exhaling sharply like he was only just allowing himself to relax.
“I feel like an idiot,” he admitted, shaking his head. “I should’ve remembered.”
“Bucky, it’s an insignificant thing, it’s really not—”
He cut you off before you could downplay it again. “Nothing about you is insignificant, okay? Nothing.” His blue eyes burned with sincerity, sharp and unshakable. “The stuff that matters to you? It matters to me too. And I’m sorry I forgot.”
Your heart squeezed.
You weren’t used to people treating you like this—like your pain was valid, like your boundaries mattered, like your past wasn’t something to be brushed aside.
But Bucky always had.
He always would. You’re sure of it.
You swallowed hard, a small, grateful smile tugging at your lips. “Thank you,” you murmured. “For always being there for me.”
“Always” He whispered, a slight crack in his voice.
For a moment, neither of you moved. The chaos of the party faded into the background, leaving just the two of you in the flickering firelight, beer bottles hanging loosely in your hands.
He was close..so close, the space between you shrinking with every unspoken word. His gaze flickered to your lips, just for a second, before his tongue darted out to wet his own.
Your pulse hammered. Finally, you thought.
And then…
“BUCKY, MY MAN!”
The moment shattered.
A loud, drunken whoop cut through the night, and then, suddenly, the entire football team was descending on him, dragging him into their celebration, slapping his back, shoving beer into his free hand.
You took a step back, your breath still caught in your throat.
Bucky’s eyes snapped to yours, something like frustration flashing across his face, like he knew what had almost happened, what finally, almost happened, like he wanted to go back but then someone was lifting him onto their shoulders, chanting his name, and he was forced to tear his gaze away.
And just like that, the moment was gone.
You let out a quiet breath, tilting your beer back and swallowing the lump in your throat.
Maybe it was for the best.
Maybe it was a sign you were meant to just be friends. To always be just friends.
-----
The hallway outside your hotel room was quiet, save for the occasional distant voices of players passing through, all heading somewhere to celebrate the win. You stood there, arms wrapped around yourself, shifting your weight from foot to foot as you waited for John. The nerves sitting heavy in your stomach weren’t from excitement—weren’t from the anticipation of a night out, a rare moment to unwind after the intensity of the season’s start. No, this feeling was something else.
You knew what kind of night this would be before it even started. Because you knew John, and the thought of Bucky and him at the same table left you anxious.
John was already running late, and you were left alone with your thoughts, the seconds stretching into minutes, making you hyper-aware of everything—the way your dress felt too tight around your ribs, the way your pulse thrummed a little too fast.
Then, a voice pulled you from your thoughts.
“You okay?”
You turned slightly to see Bucky standing a few feet away, his hands shoved into the pockets of his jacket, his expression unreadable.
You nodded quickly, forcing a small smile. “Yeah. Just waiting on John.”
His eyes flickered with something, something you couldn’t quite place. He didn’t say anything right away, just studied you for a moment longer. And for a second, you wondered if he could see it, the way your hands clenched the fabric of your dress at your sides, the way your shoulders were drawn just a little too tight. He use to be able to.
But before either of you could say anything more, the hotel door swung open behind you.
John stepped out, adjusting the sleeves of his jacket, his phone in one hand. He barely spared you a glance before looking past you to Bucky.
“Barnes,” he said smoothly.
Bucky gave him a nod, expression still unreadable. “Walker.”
John’s hand found the small of your back, the touch firm, more like a warning than anything else. “We’ll see you guys there,” he said, already steering you down the hallway.
Bucky didn’t say anything. Didn’t move. You could feel his eyes on you, lingering even as you walked away.
The ride to the restaurant was silent at first, the only sound coming from the hum of the engine and the occasional ding of John’s phone as he scrolled through messages. You kept your hands clasped in your lap, your fingers digging into your palm to keep them steady.
Then, he spoke.
“Do not embarrass me tonight.”
You blinked, your breath catching slightly. “What?”
John didn’t look up from his phone. “These guys? They’re not just players. They have influence. And if you make me look bad in front of them—” He finally turned his gaze on you, a tight smile pulling at his lips. “Well, let’s not make this difficult, okay?”
You nodded automatically, your throat tightening.
He sighed, shaking his head as he leaned back against the seat. “Just smile, laugh at my jokes. And don’t go on and on about your stupid media stuff, alright? Trust me they don’t give a shit, they’re just playing nice because you used to be friends with Barnes.”
Used to
You swallowed hard, forcing yourself to look out the window as the city lights blurred past.
It was funny, in a cruel sort of way. You were finally in a place where you felt like you belonged, like you were good at something, and yet John had a way of making it feel so…insignificant. Like you were just playing pretend. And you knew he was right, they were some of the best players in the league getting paid millions of dollars. Why the hell would they care about you and your stupid job that you apparently didn't even earn on your own. And Bucky… well you didn’t even wanna get started on that because you knew deep down you weren't good enough for him then you certainly not good enough for him now. Friends or not.
By the time you pulled up to the restaurant, the unease had settled deep in your chest.
The restaurant hummed with warm, low chatter, the golden glow of the dimmed lights casting soft shadows against the walls. The air still carried the lingering buzz of victory, the easy energy of a team celebrating a job well done. The conversation around the table flowed effortlessly—teammates recounting plays, exchanging banter, trading inside jokes.
You sat between John and Sam, fingers curled around the napkin in your lap, trying to keep yourself grounded. Across from you, Bucky sat quietly, his beer untouched in front of him, blue eyes scanning the table. He wasn’t withdrawn, exactly, but he was watching. Observing.
John, on the other hand, was in his element. Effortlessly inserting himself into conversations, charming everyone around him, laughing at just the right moments. It was all so natural, so perfectly performed, and it made your stomach churn.
The waiter arrived, taking orders, and when he got to you, John barely hesitated before speaking.
“She’ll have an Old Fashioned,” he said smoothly, handing the menu back without looking at you.
You stiffened.
You hated Old Fashioneds. You hated Whiskey, its what your Dad use to drink.
It was such a small thing. Such a stupid, insignificant thing. But the way he did it, so carelessly, so decisively, without even glancing at you, made something burn in your chest.
For a second, you thought about correcting him. Thought about forcing your voice through the thick silence building in your throat. But before you could, his hand slid onto your thigh under the table, fingers pressing firm. Not quite enough to hurt. Just enough to remind you.
You stayed quiet.
When your gaze lifted, Bucky was already watching.
He didn’t say anything. Didn’t move. But the look in his eyes made your skin feel too tight, like he saw right through you. Like he was remembering something.
And maybe he was.
The moment passed, lost in the clatter of silverware, in the swell of voices as the team kept talking.
“So, John,” Steve said, glancing at him. “What do you do?”
John leaned back slightly, his arm still draped over the back of your chair like he belonged there. “I do some PR work behind the scenes,” he said easily. “NFL branding initiatives, helping coordinate events, stuff like that.”
Helping coordinate events. That was generous. You knew damn well he barely lifted a finger. He had a title, sure—something vague that let him slip into rooms he didn’t belong in—but his name, his father, were what carried the real weight.
Sam raised an eyebrow. “And your dad? He’s still high up in the league, right?”
John grinned. “Oh yeah. He’s got his hands in just about everything. Any major decision in the league, you can bet he’s a part of it.”
Sam let out a low whistle, shaking his head. “Damn. No wonder you’re so connected.”
John just laughed. “Exactly. Connections are everything in this business. It’s all about who you know.”
He said it so smoothly, like it was just an offhand comment, like it wasn’t meant to cut. But then—
“That’s actually how Y/N got this job, you know.”
Your stomach dropped.
He said it like it was nothing. Like it was casual. Like it wasn’t a grenade he’d just thrown into the middle of the table.
John chuckled, nudging your side. “She’s so damn stubborn—wanted to do everything on her own. Thought she could earn it on her own. But hey, I put in a good word, made sure the right people saw her résumé.”
Silence.
You thought you might be sick.
With the boys that heard, with Bucky thinking you didn’t earn this job, didn’t deserve this job. You felt small, embarrassed. You felt all the colour drain from your face as you took in a sharp inhale.
And from the way Bucky’s jaw tensed slightly, from the way his fingers curled around his beer glass, you knew he was biting back from saying something.
The noise of the restaurant pressed in around you, but everything felt muted, far away. Your hands clenched in your lap, nails digging into your palms as you stared at the flickering candle in the center of the table, trying to keep your face neutral.
Then—
“Doesn’t matter how she got the job,” Sam said suddenly, his voice easy but firm. “Girl’s talented as hell. Deserves it.”
You looked up, surprised.
He was grinning at you, all warmth and confidence, like he hadn’t just rescued you from drowning. And you couldn’t help it—you smiled back, your chest loosening just a little.
But the moment was short-lived. It always was.
John’s hand tightened around your thigh in a sharp, quick squeeze. Not enough to draw attention. Just enough for you to feel it.
“Of course, my girl deserves the world,” he said smoothly, giving you a kiss on the temple before sitting back like he hadn’t just staked a claim.
Bucky was still watching.
Still quiet.
And then John, ever the performer, turned back to the conversation with a smirk. “So, Barnes,” he started, picking up his beer. “You knew Y/N back in what was it again? High school, huh?”
“Our whole childhood.” Bucky’s gaze flicked from you to John, his face unreadable. “But yeah.”
John laughed, shaking his head as he gave you another playful squeeze. “Bet she was a handful back then, huh? Like she is now?”
You forced a small, tight smile, but the grip on your thigh burned.
Bucky didn’t take the bait.
His voice was steady, even, when he finally spoke.
“I could never think that of her.”
The air at the table shifted. It was subtle, but it was there, the tension threading through the conversation like an undercurrent, pulling tighter with every second that passed.
Bucky’s voice was steady, even—but beneath it, there was an unmistakable edge, something sharp and unyielding. His blue eyes never wavered from John’s, locking him in place. And for the first time that night, John hesitated. Just for a second.
You had never seen him hesitate before. It wasn’t in his nature. He was used to having everything handed to him, power, privilege, even respect, whether he earned it or not.
Then, he let out an easy chuckle, leaning back in his chair like he hadn’t noticed the shift in energy. “That so?” He took a slow sip of his beer before glancing at you, his smirk returning. “You must’ve had him wrapped around your finger then, huh?”
Your stomach twisted.
You knew what he was doing. The fake charm, the lighthearted jabs that were never actually lighthearted. The way he was always trying to remind you, to remind everyone, that you were his.
Before you could say anything, Bucky leaned forward slightly, resting his forearms on the table.
“She wasn’t like that,” he said, his voice calm but deliberate. “She didn’t take advantage of people.”
John’s smirk didn’t falter, but you felt his fingers press a little harder against your thigh.
“No?” he said smoothly. “Guess she’s changed, then.”
The words were coated in something...something that made your chest tighten, something that made Bucky’s fingers flex around his glass.
Your pulse pounded in your ears.
Steve cleared his throat, shifting slightly in his seat. Sam, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, glanced between John and Bucky, lips pressing into a thin line. The energy around the table felt like a slow-building storm, quiet but electric.
John exhaled through his nose, shaking his head. “Relax, Barnes,” he said, his voice light, but the way he said Bucky’s name, like it was a joke, like it was something he didn’t take seriously—made your stomach drop.
Bucky didn’t move, didn’t flinch.
But something in his expression changed.
His blue eyes darkened, his jaw tightening slightly, and you could see the muscle feather under his skin.
It wasn’t that Bucky had a short temper. He didn’t. But there were certain things that got under his skin, certain buttons that could be pushed just enough to break that infamous restraint of his.
And John was pushing them.
Hard.
“I’m relaxed,” Bucky said evenly, voice slow and measured. But the way he was gripping the glass in his hand told you otherwise.
John chuckled again, but it was forced this time.
“You know,” he mused, tilting his head, “I always wondered what it would be like, growing up with her. Bet she was always the center of attention, huh?” His grip on your leg tightened as he glanced at you, his tone deliberately playful but edged with something sharper. “She loves that, doesn’t she?”
It was a test. A warning. A reminder.
And Bucky knew it. You knew it.
His expression didn’t change, but his shoulders tensed just, the way they always did when he was holding himself back.
“She deserves attention,” Bucky said, voice low, the weight of it settling heavily between them. “The right kind.”
The implication was there, clear as day.
John’s fingers twitched against your thigh.
That got John’s attention. John for the first time that night, he finally looked Bucky directly in the eye.
The fake smile was gone.
The air felt thick, suffocating, like something was teetering on the edge of breaking.
You swallowed hard, your heart hammering against your ribs.
John stared at Bucky for a long moment, something unreadable flickering behind his eyes. Then, just as quickly as it had shifted, he leaned back again, his smirk sliding back into place like nothing had happened.
He let out another laugh, shaking his head. “Man, you must really got it bad, don’t you?”
Bucky didn’t react.
Didn’t blink.
Didn’t move.
It was unbearable. You couldn't even hear the chatter from the other side of the table anymore, you couldn't hear the loud music, you could only hear the blood in your ears and the thumping of your heart.
Then, finally, John exhaled, giving your leg one last, sharp squeeze before finally pulling his hand away.
When Bucky didn’t give him a response of any kind he kept going. “Well,” he said smoothly, throwing an arm over your shoulder, “I don’t blame you. She’s something else, huh?”
His lips pressed against your temple, but his grip on your shoulder was firm, and when you instinctively glanced at Bucky again, his jaw was clenched so tightly you thought he might crack a tooth.
The moment hung there, heavy, stretching impossibly long.
The tension at the table was suffocating now, pressing down on you like a weight you couldn’t shake.
You could feel Bucky’s stare—burning, unwavering—but you refused to look back at him. You couldn’t. Because if you did, you weren’t sure what you’d see in his expression.
Anger?
Regret?
Something worse?
John, on the other hand, was thriving in it. You could tell by the way he leaned back casually in his chair, the way he sipped his drink like he wasn’t winding up for another hit.
You were hoping that someone else would say something. Maybe the waiter would come back and interrupt the moment. You were hoping that even maybe Bucky would finally respond and give him what he wants so this could just all stop. But he didn't, so John didn't stop.
And then, just as you feared, he took his shot. He was trying so desperately to get anything out of Bucky.
“You know, Barnes,” John mused, swirling the amber liquid in his glass, “I gotta say, man, I don’t know how you missed out on this.”
Your stomach dropped.
You knew what was coming before he even said it.
John turned his head, his lips grazing your ear as he squeezed your thigh beneath the table. “She looks even better without clothes on,” he said, low enough that only Bucky, and maybe Sam, could hear. “Seriously. Something must be wrong with you.”
A cold chill ran through your spine.
Bucky went completely still. His fingers no longer flexing on the glass.
It felt like the world had stopped moving.
John grinned, leaning back again. “So tell me, Buck—what exactly did you do wrong to never get your shot?” He raised an eyebrow mockingly. “Didn’t have the balls to go for it?”
Sam shifted beside you, his posture stiffening. You weren’t sure if it was because of what John had said or because of the way Bucky was looking at him now, like a predator sizing up its prey. Bucky was letting him dig his own hole and he wanted so badly to bury him in it.
Then John’s smirk widened. He wasn’t done yet. He never was.
“Oh wait,” he said, snapping his fingers in faux realization. “Don’t answer that, you probably think you didn’t do anything wrong, huh? You just—what was it again?” He turned to you, pretending to think. “Oh, right. You completely cut her off when she told you she was moving. How pathetic is that?”
A sharp pain bloomed in your chest.
Bucky’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t say a word.
John laughed under his breath, taking another sip of his drink before delivering the final blow.
“And then you never even called her when she lost both her parents,” he added, shaking his head. “Not one but two! Damn, man. I mean, I’d say what kind of friend are you? but…” He shrugged. “You guys aren’t friends anymore, right? You made sure of that.”
Silence.
Pure, deafening silence.
Your heart was in your throat.
John’s words hung in the air like poison, thick and suffocating. The weight of them settled over the table, pressing down like a storm cloud about to break.
No one moved.
No one spoke.
And then—
Bucky finally blinked. He took a sip of his beer.
Slowly, he set his drink down on the table with a deliberate clink.
His knuckles were white against the glass.
His shoulders rose and fell in a slow, measured breath.
But when he lifted his eyes to John, there was nothing playful in them. No amusement. No restraint.
Just ice.
And something dangerous.
Your pulse hammered against your ribs.
John, for the second time that night, hesitated.
It was barely noticeable—a small twitch of his fingers, the slightest flicker of uncertainty behind his smirk.
But Bucky saw it.
You knew Bucky saw it.
And you thought he was going to hit him. That he was going to lunge across the table. A part of you wanted him to.
The tension stretched impossibly thin, so thick it was hard to breathe.
Then..
“Buck,” Steve said, his voice low. A warning.
Bucky didn’t look at him. Didn’t move. Didn’t even blink.
He just stared.
And somehow, somehow—that was worse.
Sam exhaled slowly, shaking his head. “Man, you’re really pushing your luck tonight,” he muttered under his breath, reaching for his drink trying to ease the tension.
John chuckled again, but it wasn’t as effortless this time. He clapped a hand on your thigh one more time before finally leaning back, his smirk settling back into place.
His jaw was tight, his grip on his glass even tighter, but his eyes—his eyes—were locked onto John like he was seconds away from standing up and putting him through the damn table.
Your heart pounded so hard it hurt.
You weren’t sure if you were more afraid of what John would say next or what Bucky would do in response. Either way, the air felt charged, volatile, like something was going to snap.
And then, Bucky’s gaze flickered, just for a second, to you.
He saw the look on your face.
The way your fingers were curled into your lap, nails pressing deep into your skin.
The silent plea in your eyes.
And just like that, the tension in his shoulders dropped just slightly, the fire in his expression dimming just enough to see you.
You swallowed thickly, turning to John who was opening his mouth, again. Dragging in a shaky breath before reaching out, your fingers wrapping around John’s forearm.
“Stop,” you said quietly.
John barely glanced at you. “Stop what?”
You squeezed a little tighter. “John,” you said, your voice lower now, more desperate. “Stop this.”
John finally looked at you then, turning his body toward you slightly, his eyes narrowing. His smirk was gone. In its place, something colder, something more dangerous.
“I wanna hear you say it,” he murmured, his voice a quiet taunt. “Come on, honey. Where are your manners?”
You stiffened.
John tilted his head, his smirk returning. “Say it nicely,” he pressed, his fingers ghosting over your thigh under the table. “Try ‘please stop, John’.”
The words stuck in your throat.
The way he was looking at you, so smug, so in control, made you feel sick. You hated how easily he could do this, how effortlessly he could turn your voice into something that barely belonged to you anymore.
Your lips parted, just barely, ready to force the words out—
And then Bucky’s voice cut through the air.
“Don’t.”
John’s head snapped up, his entire body going rigid.
Slowly, his eyes narrowed. “Are you telling my girl what to do?”
That was it.
The final line drawn in the sand.
Before anyone could say another word, Steve pushed his chair back with enough force to make it scrape against the floor. His tone was sharp, decisive. Done.
“Okay,” Steve said firmly. “That’s enough. I don’t know what’s going on here, but this—” He gestured between Bucky and John. “—is not happening. Not tonight.”
Bucky didn’t move.
Didn’t take his eyes off John.
Didn’t blink.
Steve exhaled sharply before turning to Bucky. “Buck, let’s go.”
Bucky didn’t respond, not right away. You could see the war in his expression, the sheer force of restraint it took for him to tear his gaze away from John.
But when he finally did, when his blue eyes landed on you again, his expression softened in a way that made your chest ache.
He wasn’t just looking at you. He was asking.
Are you going to be okay?
You wanted to answer.
Wanted to say yes.
Wanted to say no.
Wanted to say please don’t go.
But the words wouldn’t come.
Instead, you looked down.
Bucky’s jaw tightened again, but he didn’t push it.
He just let out a slow, measured breath before finally stepping away from the table.
Steve followed.
A few of the other players, ones who had been too far away to hear what had really gone down, called out casual goodbyes, still laughing about something completely unrelated. They had no idea.
And then, just like that, Bucky was gone.
John exhaled through his nose, shaking his head like he couldn’t believe the audacity. Then, without another glance at you, he pulled his arm from your grip and stood, scooting down the table to where some of the other guys sat.
Like nothing had happened.
Like you weren’t even there.
Laughter bubbled from the other side of the table, casual, easygoing.
Meanwhile, on your side, it was just you and Sam.
The silence between you was suffocating.
You swallowed hard, staring at the candle in the middle of the table like it might give you some kind of answer, some kind of out.
And then, barely above a whisper you spoke. “I’m sorry.”
Sam frowned. “I can’t stress this enough, you’ve got nothing to be sorry for.”
Your throat tightened. You blinked rapidly, a single tear slipping free before you could stop it. You wiped it away quickly, but Sam saw.
He saw.
And he didn’t look away.
For a few more seconds, you just sat there, staring at nothing, the weight in your chest making it hard to breathe. Then, suddenly, the air in the restaurant felt like too much, too hot, too stifling, too heavy.
“I’m gonna head back to the hotel,” you said abruptly, pushing your chair back.
John’s head snapped up immediately. “What?”
You turned to him. “I’m tired. I think I’ll just head back early.”
John frowned, standing before you could even move. He grabbed your wrist, hard, his fingers pressing into your skin in a way that made you flinch.
“You going by yourself?” he asked, voice low.
Sam saw.
His entire body went stiff beside you.
“I figured you wanted to stay, don’t you?” you asked John carefully, testing the waters.
John let out a low chuckle, shaking his head as he finally, finally, released his grip. “Of course I do,” he said smoothly, gesturing toward his teammates. “I’m here with my buddies.”
The guys around him laughed, completely oblivious to the way the moment had just unfolded.
John turned back to you, smirking. “Wait up for me?”
You nodded mechanically. “Of course.”
His smirk widened. “That’s my girl.”
And then, without warning, he yanked you down, crushing his lips to yours.
It wasn’t a kiss.
It was a claim.
A reminder.
It was too much, too hard, too aggressive, too something but you let him do it anyway. You always did.
When he finally pulled away, he flashed you one last smile before smacking your ass, earning a laugh from the other guys and turning back to the conversation like nothing had happened.
Like he hadn’t just bruised your wrist.
Like he hadn’t just stolen the air from your lungs.
Like he hadn’t just won.
You swallowed hard, forcing your feet to move, forcing yourself to leave before you made the mistake of looking back.

Celestial Bodies AU (7/?)
(Part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6. Also on AO3)
Sometimes, it felt like the whole world was against her.
It was especially evident in Batman's pissy attitude and his insistence on her quitting her night job, despite how he allowed Tim and Dick to do whatever they wanted.
She may not have been trained like those two, but it didn't mean that he couldn't step up and teach her, right? She had to rely on her own wits and Tim's sporadic (and admittedly rather lackluster) moments of teaching in order to know how to defend herself without a weapon.
So yeah, now that she had an opportunity to rub it in Bruce's face that he was wrong to dismiss her, she wouldn't let this opportunity go!
At least, that was what she was thinking before the harsh reality of being stuck to Batman all the time hit her.
Quite literally.
Robin groaned, rubbing her sore shoulders after another day of patrol with Batman. She messaged Tim with one hand while the other started taking off her cape and belt. She started peeling off her mask as Tim responded back.
Girl Wonder: tim
Girl Wonder: howas ur day
Boy Loser: Fine
Boy Loser: How was yours
Girl Wonder: pandil
Girl Wonder: painful*
Boy Loser: Lmaoaoaoao
Stephanie sighed again, as Tim started teasing her about the spelling mistake. Sometimes, he would let it go and sometimes, he had to rub it in her face. Usually, she would just roll her eyes fondly and take the ribbing, but today, she just wanted comfort.
After Tim had been forced to shelve Robin after his dad found out about his secret identity, he has given her the role of becoming Robin. She had taken it with great reverence, but Batman clearly wasn’t ready to let go of Tim yet, because he was an absolute asshole while training her.
She felt like perhaps he was seeing someone else through her (either Tim or someone else…?) but it was so tiring and infuriating that she didn’t mention it, only wanting to quit Robin after a few weeks of this near-torture.
Batman was oddly petty for a man who spent his life fighting crime.
… wait a minute.
Stephanie sighed again.
Boy Loser: ... Steph? You alright?
Stephanie pursed her lips as she realized her uncharacteristic lack of reply was now worrying Tim.
Girl Wonder: yea
Girl Wonder: B is being a dick
Boy Loser: ... I wish I could make some sort of Dick joke but I feel like it won't be appreciated rn
Boy Loser: What happened?
Stephanie chuckled a little and continued to reply.
Girl Wonder: nthing but he keeps putting me down
Girl Wonder: it pisses me off
Girl Robin: im robin now! i dont deserve this
The three talking dots popped up as Tim began typing out his reply and Stephanie waited, suddenly wondering if she had been too whiny and he was annoyed. After all, how many people got to say that they were handed the Robin costume by an actual Robin and then allowed to be Batman's sidekick? She needed to be grateful, but it was difficult when Batman was being a little bi—
Okay, deep breaths.
Stephanie shook off her thoughts, just as Tim finally replied.
Boy Loser: How about going to meet the cluster?
She blinked.
Girl Wonder: the wut?
Boy Loser: The Phantom Cluster? All Robins got a star bonded to them. Like mine, remember?
She paused again.
She didn't know much about the Phantom Cluster. All she knew were that they were a group of cursed children who were forced into becoming sentient stars. They were considered all-knowing, but relied on a Robin in order to exploit some unknown loophole in their curse and grow up past their frozen ages.
At least, that was what Tim had explained to her.
Girl Wonder: ... can i do that?
Boy Loser: I'll come and bring you to them?
Boy Loser: I want to see my star anyways.
Wow, she almost wanted to feel jealous, but she had already been long aware of his obsession with his star and now it was just funny to see how close he was to them.
Girl Wonder: ok
Boy Loser: Sweet. Stay there
Her eyes widened.
Girl Wonder: right now??
He didn't respond. Only 10 minutes later, as Stephanie debated between taking off her uniform or leaving it on to leave a more professional impression on the stars, did Tim scurry into the Batcave with a breathless smile.
"Let's go!" He said. "I snuck past my dad and Bruce for this."
Stephanie laughed, "You're so excited! Don't you have camera feed of your star? It's not like you haven't seen her in a while."
"Nothing beats seeing her in person," Tim grinned. "C'mon, I'll show you how to get to the cluster."
He directed her towards the tube and began explaining its mechanisms and codes for various locations. Stephanie listened carefully, although there were butterflies in her stomach as she thought about meeting the cluster.
Would they hate her?
After all, no matter how much she wished she was, she wasn't like the other Robins. If all of the previous Robins had a star, would she be considered different if she didn’t have one herself?
Suddenly, she felt nauseous. What if she wasn’t chosen? Would it be further proof that she wasn’t meant to be a hero?
She suddenly felt a hand slide into hers. She blinked and looked up as Tim gave her a small, reassuring smile.
“It’ll be okay, I promise. They’re nice.”
Stephanie returned his look with a shaky smile and then the two of them went into the tube, and off they went.
When they landed, Stephanie barely had a moment to bounce back before Tim was pulling her through the metal halls. They walked for a while, and Tim finally burst from the silence.
“Did you read the files about the Phantom Cluster?”
“They’re locked to me,” Stephanie replied. “I only know what you and Dick told me and that they’re a group of sentient stars.”
“That’s because Bruce can get… irritated and try to delete or edit the information. We locked it so only Robins know the passwords,” Tim explained. “But the Phantom Cluster is a group of sentient astronomical bodies, such as several stars and planets. There’s six of the main ones, but there are also a few other planets that can occasionally communicate with them. However, they’re not as sentient and only the six in the middle is— actually, I’ll just let you see for yourself.”
Stephanie followed him and when he finally opened the doors to the command room, she stopped in place and stared.
The room they were in was shaped like a half circle, and all of the walls were covered in glass, allowing ample view of the stars outside. In front of the glass were several machines and computers, silent as they flashed with notifications and alerts about the readings of the stars.
A soft song was playing, one made entirely by voices. It was angelic, like that of a choir and it sent a shiver down Stephanie’s spine as the chilling and seductive music wrapped around her like a siren’s call.
But she wasn’t too focused on the singing.
No, she was focused on the stars.
They were beautiful.
Dick had mentioned it once, how much he loved looking at them. Tim had also mentioned it several times, of how he visited them just to watch them and to see his star.
With the way they spoke of them at times, Stephanie sometimes wondered if they were brainwashed.
But now, she could understand.
Humans had always been fascinated by the stars. It was what created astronomy, telescopes, stories of constellations and space travel and aliens, it was what created NASA and the moon landing and astrology and rocket ships.
She could understand it now.
In the middle of space was a cluster of stars. Four of them whirled and twirled around each other with various degrees of energy. One in particular spun and slowed down in intervals, like doing a skip during a walk because it was so excited that it had to jump a little, but it still wanted to keep pace with the group.
There were also two planets, one covered in clouds and the other was a red and yellow sandy looking planet with wide rings surrounding it. They circled the stars quickly, but carefully, like trying to keep close but also not wanting to bump into the hot balls of gasses. A variety of asteroids and other smaller planets then circled them at a distance, as if not wanting to get closer.
Stephanie could quite literally see the personality within all of them, as they orbited one another.
Tim grinned. “They’re amazing, right?”
“You weren’t kidding,” she breathed.
Tim pulled her to the window and then pointed at a large, bluish star. “That’s Dick’s. We call it Nightwing’s star or Dick’s star. He’s one of the oldest and also the largest. He can be kinda mean, but he protects Dick a lot.”
“How can a star be mean?” Stephanie wondered. She watched as Dick’s star spun and then directed the pretty pink and purple clouds towards two other astronomical bodies.
“You’ll know what I mean,” Timothy said, before pointing to another celestial body. This time, it was a swirling, bow-tie shaped thing that was funneling gas and dust. There were two of them, but this one was distinctly colored blue and was smaller than the other.
“Is that…?”
“Yeah. That one is my star. Well, she’s actually a baby star— a protostar,” Timothy proclaimed proudly. “Isn’t she beautiful? I call her partner.”
Stephanie stared with a mixture of amazement and endearment. “She’s pretty cute. She’s smaller than all of the others!”
“Yeah. She’s the baby of the cluster.” He pointed to the other protostar. “And that one is… Jason’s.”
Stephanie stared at its enormous, funneling body and nodded slowly. “… it shows that he’s alive, huh?”
“Yeah. That’s the big sister of the cluster. She’s Jason’s star, and we don’t know how but… they’re back.”
Stephanie nodded again. She knew of this. Before Tim quit and while she was still Spoiler, she would occasionally babysit Gotham whenever he left with Nightwing in order to search for Jason.
“…. At least they’re both back?” She offered awkwardly.
Tim nodded. “At least they’re back.” He pointed to a small, faintly glowing blue and green ball that was following Tim’s star. “That one is the King. He takes care of the other stars and he’s a neutron star. He also used to be a hero, like us, before he died.”
“How young was he? Do we know?”
Tim met eyes with her.
“He was fourteen when he died,” he said softly, and Stephanie pursed her lips.
The amount of child heroes who died before 16 was quite uncomfortable.
The atmosphere was suddenly awkward, but Tim forcibly changed the subject and pointed to the two planets. “And lastly, these are the other two planets. They’re part of the ones singing as well as the main six of the cluster. That one is a rocky planet and that one has life on it, but we haven’t been able to touch down on either of them.”
Stephanie blinked and leaned closer to the glass in awe, squinting to try and see past the thick clouds. “Life? Like Earth? Why can’t we land?”
“They won’t let us. Sometimes, we can fly along their orbit, but when they get mad or want to stop us, they’ll push us back. The stars will help and send out solar flares and if they get really pissed, well, it’s not pretty.”
Interested, Stephanie asked, “What happens?”
Tim shrugged. “I'm not sure. But there were some people who betrayed the Justice League and tried to come here to take over. The stars took them out.”
Stephanie’s eyebrows rose.
She looked around for an invisible camera.
Did Timothy Drake, once Robin, just tell her that the stars killed people?
“Wait, what? How?”
“One ship got pulled in via the gravitational pull and then exploded on Dick’s star, and another ship had an asteroid hit them and a hole appeared in the hull. They all died.”
Stephanie recoiled. “Wait, seriously? They all died?”
Tim nodded. “Yeah. The Justice League was pissed. Dick argued that the stars were just defending themselves and—“
“The Justice League was mad at the stars??”
Stephanie felt like she was learning too many things at once. She was almost dizzy from the confusion.
Timothy gave her a light glare for interrupting him again but said, “The Justice League was angry since they had deliberately killed people. Even the asteroid was intentional.” He shrugged then. “But what can they do? Punish the Cluster? Dick fought for them and they’re still here as allies to the Justice League and to the Robins. But that’s also why you don’t see any other heroes here. They kinda stopped coming after that, though Superman does visit sometimes.”
“… wow. That’s so messed up on so many levels.”
Tim grinned.
“So, ready to introduce yourself? They’re waiting.”
Well, that wasn’t ominous at all. Especially with all of the very nice, normal things he just told her about the stars.
Stephanie told him that and he laughed. She took that brief moment to allow the panic to sink in and then flow out of her as she took a deep breath.
“Okay,” she said, facing the main communicator, “I’m ready.”
“I’ll introduce you,” Tim said. He tapped the glass softly and then said, "Hello, everyone."
There was a pause as the hair rose on the back of Stephanie's neck, and she listened as the sound of angelic song slowed to a halt, allowing only ocean waves and TV static to fill the room with an energy that she could not place.
The crackle of static and burbling of water was the only sound for awhile.
And then—
"Hey, partner."
Tim beamed. "Hey, partner. It's good to see you. You're getting bigger, huh?"
The protostar gave a deliberate whirl, sparkling as gas and dust rubbed against each other within its accretion disks.
There was suddenly an angry, high pitched noise on the communicator.
Both Stephanie and Tim winced, although Tim also looked exasperated.
Dick's star, which had been silently following the orbital path suddenly froze in place. It turned slowly, seemingly facing in one spot before stopping completely, its edges flaring with bursts of light.
“Is… is that Dick's star glaring at you?” She said, bordering on a laugh. Tim’s star did a cycle around the other protostar and then did a loop around Dick’s star, as if trying to poke it into reacting. Dick’s star was still for a moment longer, before inching along their orbital path again without spinning, as if still trying to keep its eyes on Tim through the glass.
She burst into giggles, absolutely delighted in the way Tim looked exasperated and resigned of a star seemingly trying to antagonize him.
“Yeah. He’s like that a lot whenever I’m around,” Tim sighed exaggeratedly.
“That’s so cute! To be honest, I didn’t expect them to have so much personality.”
“Yeah, me too. But once you get to know them, they’re really fun. Even if Dick’s star hates my guts.”
Stephanie giggled again. “He’s like an overprotective dad.”
“Yeah, but at least I'm not the only one he hates. He also really— uhm.” Timothy paused in the middle of his tirade.
Stephanie blinked and turned to stare at him.
Timothy looked uncomfortable, but soldiered on and continued, “But I also heard that he disliked Jason too. Apparently, he was pissed when Jason got his star. He has a real complex about his sisters from what we know.”
Stephanie tried to imagine the image of a big blue ball throwing a hissy fit because his sisters were being taken away by human boys, and the absurdity made her laugh.
“Aww, poor guy!” She snickered. “He just wants you stinky boys away from his sisters.”
“Hey!” Timothy exclaimed with a playful glare. “I take showers!”
"Coulda fooled me!"
Tim huffed a laugh and then addressed the Cluster again. "Everyone, this is Robin."
There was a pause, and then the Cluster spoke in unison, a whispery coo, "Hello, Robin."
Stephanie breathed out a sigh of relief as Tim perked up, smiling broadly.
One voice in particular spoke up over the rest.
"Robin, I have someone who'd like to make a deal with you."
Its voice was soft and light, but there was a quality within that made her want to relax within its soothing reverb.
Stephanie couldn't help grabbing at Tim in excitement, who patted her hand with a wide grin.
"Would you like to accept?"
She coughed to calm herself down. "... who is asking?"
The communicator crackled and then the cluster spoke again, with the one voice leading in front, "Come into the space pod and you will be taken to him."
Stephanie met eyes with Tim. Timothy raised an eyebrow and then shrugged.
"Now what?"
"... I guess you go?"
She gulped. She looked at Tim for reassurances, for him to tell her— something, but he didn't.
He just stared at her and then smiled, a glint in his eyes that she knew was him knowing something that he didn't want to share.
Stephanie sighed.
She went into the space pod that was attached to the station with instructions to just stay still and let the Cluster's solar winds lead her to where she needed to go, and off she sent.
Stephanie sat in the space pod, watching the distant stars and galaxies while she was slowly led deeper and deeper into the Phantom Cluster. The communicator crackled with no words as she sat there in a drifting metal ship within the vacuum of space.
For a moment, she wondered if she was going to die.
She wondered if they were rejecting her and would then kill her via asteroid smashing into the pod or fire as they guided her straight into a star's surface.
She wondered if this was going to be the last thing she ever saw, stars and planets and galaxies in her eyes before her life ended, but when she blinked, she was sailing straight into the golden planet with rings.
Her eyes widened and she held on as the pod began to shake with its descent into a planet's atmosphere.
She yelped as the pod sank past the deep yellow clouds and then she was falling.
"Oh fuck!" She screamed, as she immediately tried steadying the pod.
But there was nothing. The buttons on the pod were not meant to let the driver steer, since it was merely an extension of the space shuttle that the stars were meant to guide themselves.
For a moment, she cursed Tim and Dick and all of the Robins and their insane trust in the stars for creating a death trap of a machine, and as her heart lurched into her throat, she was suddenly caught and the pod stilled.
She looked out the window and gaped.
Metal contraptions were floating in the air, attaching to the pod to slowly bring it down to the ground.
No, wait, it wasn't floating. The metal contraptions were part of the ground too. They looked like long tentacles that drifted from the ground to bring her down.
A shudder ran down Stephanie's spine.
What did this mean?
Had someone landed on the planet before the Justice League or the Robins had?
When she was guided down onto the ground, she hesitated.
She was not like Tim or Dick. Hell, she didn't even become Robin because she particularly wanted to or because Bruce offered. She became Robin only because Tim asked her to take care of Gotham while he was a civilian.
She was Spoiler before she was Robin. She was not like the others.
(She wasn't even a boy, or a particularly good Robin. Batman had never treated the other Robins like he treated her: carelessly, callously, coldly.)
But the thought of getting Batman's approval, of being a real Robin made her move. She pressed the button and the door opened.
For a moment, she worried that she wouldn't have been able to breathe, but before she could worry about lack of oxygen, something sand colored began crawling towards her at high speeds.
She screamed and immediately flew back to the pod, trying to close the door to no avail.
Looking closer, it was like some bizarre mix between a gold colored android and a mummy. It was the size of an adult man and looked half broken, like it needed repairing. It didn't matter though, because it was approaching the space pod rapidly and Stephanie was weaponless.
She shrieked again when the android climbed into the pod and started crawling after her. She kicked at it and it stopped moving when she started screaming and cried out, “What the hell!”
It twitched and then crept towards her again.
Stephanie waved a hand hurriedly. “No, no! Don’t get closer!”
It paused.
Stephanie almost could've cried.
Just what was going on?
The android twitched and then it pulled out something from a pouch on its waist.
It clicked and then laid the thing on the ground at her feet.
Stephanie flinched and moved away.
"What is that?" She asked, thankful that she did not stutter.
The communicator finally spoke then, and a voice called out, "That's a mask to help you breathe. If you don't want sand or glass in your lungs, wear it."
Stephanie blinked and turned her head, though she didn't take her eyes off of the android thing.
"Are you... the planet?"
The echoey voice of a planetary body made him sound wistful as he hummed, "Mhm. You should leave the ship."
"What about..." she did a vague gesture towards the mummy-android thing.
"He's a helper. He won't hurt you."
Stephanie hesitated for only a second before she moved. She took the mask and fit it onto her face. Then she carefully followed the helper. It crawled away and led her to their destination, but as Stephanie stared at it, she realized that its legs were broken off.
Was it damaged?
She didn’t ask, a little too weirded out by the entire situation. Instead, she observed the world around her.
The ground was dry with dirt and sand. A light wind blew the sand in billowing, gold swirls. She noticed that the mask seemed to protect her from the sand, since she felt none of the wind against her skin, and she narrowed her eyes before looking up at the red sky. Slightly visible above the yellow clouds, was the bright figures of the other stars, glowing brightly like white circles.
The air was thick, like she was breathing through a heavy, dry soup. The temperature was hot, almost scorching, but Stephanie persisted as the robot continued.
She swallowed, trudging carefully past the thick sand, and the robot thing led her to a blocky mobile home-looking machine. It stopped by the door and tilted its head.
Stephanie shivered. “Am I… supposed to go inside?”
It creaked and then nodded.
Stephanie cursed out Tim again and then stepped inside, pushing the heavy door with a grunt. Piles of sand covered the floor, making her feet sink as she walked through.
It was like a small cabin made of metal. Inside were tables and a bed, all crowded in unreadable papers and books. Wires and metal tubes covered the ceiling in a tangled mess, and a large supercomputer was attached to the wall at the end of the room.
The screen buzzed with static.
Stephanie stared, watching the faint light of the computer sparkle across the dark room, lighting everything with dark shadows before she stepped through the sand and approached like a mindless puppet.
When she was close enough to the computer screen, it flickered with a spark before turning black. Stephanie tensed.
The air began to feel heavy, like a pressure was being put on her, like eyes were beginning to watch her.
There was a hum, and then the screen crackled.
It turned black, and then pale bronze words began to type, one by one in quick succession.
“Hello, Robin.”
There was no sound, beyond the hum of machinery and the faint back-and-forth of rising tides, despite this place clearly being a desert planet.
Stephanie swallowed again.
“Hello,” she said carefully. She laughed a little, trying to shake off the jitters. “This whole thing is very creepy, y’know?”
“LOL, sorry about that. I’m glad you’re here, Robin.”
She laughed at the first statement, finding it surreal as to how a planet knew how to use words like “LOL”. At the second sentence, she bowed her head, a weird flare of happiness appearing within her, the humor quickly dying and being replaced by a sense of pride. “Glad to be here,” she mumbled. “Are you… are you the planet?”
The silence was brief, but oddly, she could tell that its personality was pleasant.
“Yes.”
Her mouth felt dry. She just wanted to confirm that the same being who spoke to her on the communicator was the one on the computer, but she still couldn't help but feel a sense of cold going down her spine.
So this was the strength and power of a celestial entity?
“… what is all of this? If you’re a planet, then… who created all of this stuff?”
The pressure grew heavier, like a hand was being pressed down on her. Stephanie tried to straighten underneath it, but it felt gentle and firm, like the hand of her mother when she wanted to scold her but didn’t have the heart to do so.
It made her feel cold and sleepy, but she was awake as the planet then spoke.
"Would you like to make a deal with me?"
The planet asked, and Stephanie hesitated.
Why did it not answer her question? Should she continue to press for answers?
She did not feel the same devotion and love that the other Robins did. She did not know if it was because she was not a real Robin or if it was because she was different from the others, but she just didn't feel the same blind trust for the stars.
(But…
She wanted the approval of Batman. Of Gotham. Of the other Robins. Of the stars.)
She decided not to ask again.
"What... what would it mean? To make a deal with you?"
"You'll be my host,"
Was the patient reply.
"How am I supposed to be a host? What does it do?"
"Just live. And be your true self."
She bit her lip.
But then she thought, what was she supposed to lose?
Every other Robin had a star. Only she didn't have one, and this was her chance.
She wanted to do good. To be good.
"Deal," she said, and the machine crackled. “I’ll be your host.”
“So be it.”
Stephanie had placed her hand carelessly on the machine’s surface, and in the next moment, her palms began to burn. She yelped, but it hadn’t actually hurt. The surprise of the heat made her pull back and she raised her hand to look at her right palm, where a four pointed star now bloomed into existence.
The highest point touched past the second knuckle of her middle finger, while the lowest point reached her wrist. Bronze yellow and wine purple blended together into something unique and beautiful and a flare of warmth spread throughout Stephanie’s body and into her chest.
No wonder the Boy Wonders were so devoted to the stars.
So this is what it felt like to become a host of the stars.
Cheerfully, Stephanie asked, “What do I call you? Is there anything you want me to do for you?”
“Call me whatever you like. And I’ll tell you if I need something.”
Another line appeared below that one.
“Thank you, Robin. For saving me.”
Stephanie blushed. “Okay! Uh, bro!”
“LOL. OK, buddy.”
Later, when her ship was guided back to the sky with the unexplained metal tubes, she was met back into the Phantom Space Station with a pacing Tim, who beamed when he saw her.
“How was it! Did you get it!? Who were they?! What did you call them?!”
Stephanie grinned and presented her palm to him.
Tim squealed.
————
Batman was not as thrilled, but nothing she could do satisfied him much anyways. Nightwing and Oracle were delighted to hear about her new celestial body, while Batgirl looked interested and curious.
Robin was just happy that she had her own celestial body to herself.
At first, it was awkward as Robin didn't understand the signs or signals that were given to her by her astronomical object, but Nightwing and Tim had no problem helping her understand how to interpret them. As time continued, they began to work together in amazing ways.
Whenever she dealt with any machinery (which was unfortunately a lot as too many people had access to bombs for some reason), it was always handled easier than before. She also felt no more fatigue or exhaustion from traveling in hot, dry weather, and had a minor immunity to heat and electricity.
Her abilities were not entirely unique, as she discovered that the other Robins also had shared abilities, but only she could communicate with her celestial body through her phone or computer.
She learned that he was a funny, easy-going individual who loved food and meat dishes and technology.
In many ways, he was so human that she often forgot that he wasn’t actually one.
It made her feel complicated, remembering how he was once a child, just like her, before whatever happened to him and the other astronomical objects.
But no matter how she asked or cajoled or coaxed, it was useless because he shut down every single time.
In the end, all she knew was this.
Whatever curse was placed upon the stars, only the Robins could save them.
So she just shrugged it off and continued to chat and use her planet’s help in being a better vigilante. With his technological help and his aid in guiding her, she was slowly learning new hobbies, better techniques, and more knowledge.
Robin was relearning her place in the hero scene as the partner of Batman, and with her celestial body by her side, she knew that she could do anything.
But all good things must come to an end. Like how great TV shows got canceled, like how the last day of childhood ended, like how everyone died eventually, like how the sea pulled back, like how stars evaporated from going supernova.
It had happened so suddenly.
She had thought she was doing well.
Robin— no, Stephanie bit her lip.
She wasn't Robin anymore.
Batman had fired her.
She fought back the tears in her eyes at the injustice of it all. She knew she made mistakes. She knew she wasn't perfect. But she just wanted to feel like she belonged, like she was doing good.
It wasn't fair how everyone else made mistakes, but she wasn't allowed. So that was why she decided that she had to prove herself.
She had thought that she was doing so well, but Batman had not thought the same.
It had not even taken him a second thought before he fired her.
He would have never treated any of the other Robins this way.
(Somewhere in the sky, the stars murmured to themselves, tending to their comatose sister.)
She was about to look into the files of the Batcomputer for a plan to implement and prove herself as a hero, when the keyboards sparked as she pressed her fingers down.
She paused.
The spark crackled and then flew into the computer with a fizzle. The screen glitched and then turned black and Stephanie froze as an intense wave of fear entered her, quickening her breath and heartbeat until she was frozen with terror, almost unable to breathe.
The feeling of being watched by an otherworldly being washed over her again, more pervasive than ever before.
The screen flickered and then coppery yellow words appeared. The fear began to fade like a lowering tide and Stephanie finally breathed as she read the words that began to type.
"Stop what you're doing."
The sound of space filled the Batcave with a hiss, the familiar crackle of technology struggling to understand the words of celestial objects and the ocean waves of outer space, washing over her like the unforgiving sea.
"... buddy?"
The keyboard moved without her input. Words were typed onto the screen by unseen hands.
"I'm here."
His words were reassuring, but the next sentences that appeared were anything but.
"Stop what you're doing, Robin. You'll kill yourself."
The stars could see the future. They often warned the Justice League of future events and dangers, and even the Robins were often given prophetic dreams when the stars could offer them. Jason was the best example, as the only Robin so far who could communicate with his star in dreams. Everything he had known from the stars were foretold as true.
This fact popped into Stephanie's mind.
Her vision began to blur from an onslaught of tears. Her breath hitched and then she sobbed.
Oh stars.
Nothing she did was right.
She covered her face and whimpered. Tears involuntarily flowed down her face and her cheeks felt hot with humiliation and shame. Humiliation for being caught at trying to hack the Batcomputer to come back as Robin, and shame as she realized that she would've inconvenienced everyone by dying doing so.
Was this a sign that she was actually supposed to abandon her life as a vigilante?
The keyboard tapped away again. She blinked the tears from her eyes and looked up through blurry vision.
"Don't cry. You're still my Robin."
Stephanie sniffed. Finally, she croaked, "What?"
"You were Robin once. But that's not your future. You have another identity, don't you?"
Spoiler.
Stephanie straightened her back as she realized what he was trying to imply. After a moment, as the realization set in, she reached up to wipe her eyes. She breathed in deeply and calmed herself down forcibly.
"Are you saying that... I should go back to being Spoiler?"
"You were never meant to stay as a Robin, bro."
The casual, flippant "bro" was so absurd that she giggled wetly.
She stood up from the chair and nodded, blinking the sting from her eyes.
But she felt better.
Sharp relief filled her and she shuddered at the swell of emotion that got rid of the dark negativity within her.
Suddenly, she knew who she was.
Like Nightwing, she had found her true calling. But unlike the others, unlike any other Robin, she was returning to her true identity.
A Spoiler of secrets and evil plans.
She wore purple far before she wore red, yellow, and green. She was a vigilante far before Batman. She was a Spoiler far before she was a Robin.
And just because she had changed her identity, just because Batman fired her, just because she had failed in one thing did not mean she had failed entirely.
Now she was almost embarrassed, but she just felt relieved more than anything. It made her want to go slack, but she took another deep breath to calm down.
"Okay," she said softly. "Okay. You'll be with me, right, buddy?"
She looked up as the keyboard clacks continued and golden letters started to appear on the screen again. Even though there was nothing spoken aloud, she could sense the affection in each word as her celestial body typed a response for her.
"Of course. I'll always be here for you."
Stephanie beamed and tidied up the Batcomputer before leaving the cave.
She did not need Batman to be a hero.
Just like she didn't need to be Robin to do something more with her life either.
The next day, as she put on her old uniform, dark purples and magentas and blacks, she checked up on her astronomical body with the tablet given to her by Tim and laughed.
A pale yellow moon was following her planet.
A gentle song came from the screen, soft and soothing, a sign of change and revival, like the rain after a period of drought, like the peeking flower buds underneath snow, like the moon's reappearance after a dark night.
In it, she could hear a third voice, a male voice that was lighter than Dick's star, one with a hint of teenage youthfulness and strength.
Stephanie smiled, touching the screen with her right palm.
“Is that yours? Are you in your final form?" She asked with a small smile. “Did that appear because I’m Spoiler again?”
The moon gave a little deliberate twirl and Stephanie grinned.
She pulled out her grappling gun and then opened the window to her apartment. She jumped out onto the roof and aimed the grappling hook. With a single shot, she hit a building and then jumped, flying through the air with a loud whoop.
The Spoiler was back.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Soooo much lore. I’m not sure who would’ve betrayed the Justice League, but knowing DC’s long history, there’s probably someone, right??
Nothing makes me lmao more than having Dan hate on Jason and Tim bc they’re too close to his sisters.
Tucker with the ability to communicate with Steph through tech!!
Him guiding her through becoming a hero on her own right without Batman 🥹 the reason why she feels different from the other Robins is bc she actually doesn’t feel different, she’s just doesn’t understand the feeling.
Also, has anyone noticed that a lot of the events that make a Robin who they are is basically Bruce being a jerk or an uncommunicative asshole? Like seriously, I'm struggling to make him a good dad sometimes.
Planet classification is not as fun as stellar classification… but Tucker is an extragalactic, chthonian, and desert or terrestrial giant exoplanet. Extragalactic = outside of the Milky Way, chthonian = a gas giant that’s been stripped of its gas layers and circles really close to its star, terrestrial = made of rocks or metals, exoplanet = a planet that orbits another star from the Sun.
…. Ik it’s a lot, but I had to get specific. In essence however, he’s just a terrestrial giant exoplanet. He’s big, but only around the size of Neptune or Uranus.
Why does Stephanie get saved but not Jason? You will find out :) writing these as one-shots mean that they take time, also bc I’m close to finals and my classes are getting harder.

NIGHTMARE:
It isn't the first time he finds himself in this kind of predicament.. and it certainly isn't the last one either.
You can't help but stare down at him in slight concern, yes, that is the Nightmare you're concerned about, but still- he was acting very uncharacteristic. He was just staring at your chest area, almost frozen in spot... "Night? Dear..?" He didn't respond to your voice immediately, gaze still glue to your chest. "Are you feeling ok?" His gaze finally snapped to your face instead, as he blinked a several times. "Sometimes, I wonder if you rile me up on purpose..." He finally slurred out as he coughed a few times, clearing his throat.
You wore a tight fitting dress, that hug your curves perfectly. (I'm leaving the dress completely to your own imagination, except for the tight part! ^^) Maybe, you were wearing this on purpose, but you weren't gonna reveal that. You had quite the fun doing this to Nightmare, he looked like he had a hard time composing himself.
All you did next, was simply leave. Leaving him with his new problem. You flash him a smirk before finally going to your shared room. So that's how it is, well if that's the case, he'll have to go make a punishment for you.
Tumblr media
KILLER:
"Kills..." Nothing.
"Kiiillls!" Not even a budge.
"GODDAMMIT KILLER!" Ah, finally. He seemed to snap out of his gaze at your boobs. He stared at you wide eyed, as he wiped his mouth from any drool. Yes, that's right, he tends to drool during his stares..
You were wrapped in your towel, holding a pair of pants and a shirt. You've just gotten out of the shower, and Killer decided to go in the bathroom at this moment. It's like he has a radar for this..
You can't help but shake your head at him. "You're always so frozen on the spot during your unmoving gaze at my chest." Killer smirked at your remark, as he grasped your hip. "But you like it...right?" Of course you do.. how can you ever deny him when he gives you his pouting look?
"Don't give me that... I was about to get dressed!" You try to avoid his question, as you remembered that you're still unclothed. Killer's smirk has just gotten wider, if it's even possible. Oh no...looks like this'll be a long night... There goes your relaxation!
Tumblr media
DUST:
"You're so beautiful..." You can't help but flush at Dust's compliment, as you avert your gaze away from him.
You've just met up with Dust for a date. You're wearing a black dress, while Dust's wearing a tuxedo. How noble.
You giggle a little when you notice how he's trying to refrain from staring at your chest area. He's so considerate.
"S-Something funny, sweetie?" You awe at his nickname, and hold his hand. "You're just so cute... You know, if you want... You can stare." You lean in to whisper the last part to him, ending it with a simple wink. His cheeks flushed purple, as he let out a shuddered sigh
Dust seemed to melt at your consent, almost as if he's been craving it. "Thank you, sweetie, you have no idea how difficult it was..." You giggle yet again, squeezing his hand slightly.
Tumblr media
HORROR:
Horror beams at you, as you make your way over to him. "What's up bee?" He let out a short laugh at your nickname. He then points to an apron, also motioning to his own, wrapped around him. "You want to cook together?" He excitedly nods, holding a spatula in his hand. "Why not?"
You try to stiffle a giggle when he reaches over to you and holds you up. You'd say you're pretty tall... So you always get baffled when you see Horror's height. There's probably no one, other than the people in his AU, that can rival his height. Everyone probably looks like bugs to him.
"Hey, bee?" He hums, while chopping the meat. "What's the secret to your height?" His movements stopped, as he looked over at you, seemingly confused. "Well...I mean- compared to you, I'm pretty short, and that's saying something, so-" he's so quick that you almost jump when he's suddenly in front of you, holding your cheeks. "...Pretty tall..."are the only words that leaves his mouth, before giving you a kiss.
He skips away happily to the counter, while you sit there, cheeks flared up red, and out of words.

Feel like this sucks ngl. But still, hope it's to your liking ^^

title: from home pairing: jungkook x reader genre: richkid!jk, baker!reader, fakedating!au, fluff, angst, e2l, smut in future chapters word count: 8.1k prompt: jungkook is the youngest of five boys, the last in line to truly inherit any his parents’ money. but what if his mom suddenly cuts him off due to his current poor behavior and he’s forced to learn how it feels like to be part of the working class? a/n: .......... LMFAOOOOOOOOO SORRY FOLKS I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THE ORIGINAL... anyways hopefully i copied the right chapter hahahhahahah
“You going to the staff dinner tonight?”
Raising a finger at Hoseok, Jungkook slips his phone from his pocket, skimming through the pages before landing on an app, typing a few things in before he looks up with a saddened expression on his face. “... I guess not.”
“Why? What’s wrong? Why can’t you go?” He turns his phone to show the both of you.
JEON JUNGKOOKACCOUNT BALANCE: ₩33,258.75
“Jungkook!” You and Hoseok in unison exclaim in disbelief. “How the fuck do you only have $30 in there?” Jungkook shrugs, slumping his shoulders as he leans against the conveyor belt. “My mom hasn’t given me the modeling money yet. Our accountant is still calculating all of my earnings. You’d think with how much my parents pay him that he’d work a little faster...”
“We just got paid two days ago,” Hoseok points out, completely baffled as to how Jungkook was able to go through that money so quickly. “What did you do?”
Standing in the middle of Jungkook’s apartment, you and Hoseok just heave out a heavy sigh, shaking your heads in disappointment. He has new curtains, one that makes it easier for the sun to shine through in the mornings which has been an incredibly huge mood booster for him. His futons now have pillows and a blanket to claim their own. Then there was the fridge— full of almost every type of frozen meal from the aisles of the grocery store. And the pantry was an entirely different story; stacks of ramen, chips, cookies— they were practically spilling.
“Jungkook, you need to learn how to control your spending.” You say with great dismay, skimming through the labels of all the ramen bowls and packets that pile on top of each other. “If you keep going at this rate, you’re going to be so broke that you’ll be living on our couches on rotation.”
His face brightens. “You’d let me live on your couch if I needed to?”
Ignoring his question blatantly, you start browsing his apartment with Hoseok. His suitcases and boxes remain full of things that he brought back from the estate which has you going through them in pure amusement. “You guys... wanna help me unpack or something?”
“Unpack or something. Either or.” You pull out a velvet royal blue suit from one of the boxes that’s still in its clear plastic jacket for the outer protective layer. “Jungkook, want to give me a reason why you have this?”
“Oh. That’s this year’s Hugo Boss. Haven’t worn it yet, I needed to get it fitted.”
Your nostrils flare at the words. “... OK, so why do you still have it? You’re a lower middle class guy living in a studio apartment that’s still probably being paid by his parents who have a butt load of money so they honestly don’t even know they’re still putting money into this. Why they hell would you have a suit that’s...” flipping the label around, your jaw nearly pops off when it drops to the floor, “₩665,175,000.00? Jungkook, what the flying fuck—”
“What?” Hoseok drops the bag of chips he’s in the midst of opening from his hands. Despite also coming from money, he was never that rich in comparison to Jungkook. “Yeah, Hobi, you heard that right. $600,000.00 buckaroos. That’s the cost of a house right there.”
“The Jeon estate is actually—“ You place your index finger against Jungkook’s lips to hush him. “Don’t even. You need to sell this suit.”
“Sell—“ Breathless, Jungkook looks like he’s going to pass out. “I can’t sell a limited edition suit. It was hard to even get it in the first place! What makes you think I’m going to sell it?”
“Because you have 30 bucks to your name.” You respond bluntly before picking up another suit that he has lying underneath the first. “Or sell this one.”
“Not the 2021 Vintage Gucci Men’s Suit!”
“How— One, how can something be vintage if it’s in 2021? And it’s not even 2021 yet?”
Tumblr media
The sun begins to set; the rays peering through the curtains gradually dissipates, leaving the three of you sprawled across Jungkook’s new apartment with clothes splattered on every possible surface in the poorly lit room. He still lacked another lamp, but the one his mother left was going to have to do. The staff dinner plans are cancelled, mostly because reorganizing Jungkook’s belongings has been an unanticipatedly gratifying yet a fraught chore that took up more time than predicted. Jungkook was hoping to attend the dinner, but after seeing how much effort you and Hoseok put in trying to make his living space a bit more comfortable, the hope for going to the event has been pushed to the back of his mind.
“Do you guys want to order take-out?” Jungkook suggests, and both you and Hoseok nod while sharing each halves of the futon. “But we’ll pay since you barely have any money. You can get us next time.”
Next time, which means that you guys want to hang out with Jungkook again.
To him, this is a huge step in the friendship direction. Throughout the entirety of his life, having friends had never really been a thing. Sure, he had play-dates per request from his mother, but those kids were fans of the stuff he owned, they didn’t even like him for him. It had become a recurrence up until high school, where the replacement for the need for friendship had been occupied with flings with women instead. People hung around him for the image, but he never felt a connection with anyone.
That was, until he met you and Hoseok.
Although he’d known Hoseok from showing up at the same parties, he never actually got to talk to him on this level until he visited the supermarket that fateful day. He was always the fun guy at parties; attention constantly gravitating toward him, whether he liked it or not, and he came from money as well, so Jungkook wasn’t sure if those people were surrounding him because of it. Sure, Hoseok’s parents weren’t as rich as Jungkook’s, but they were pretty high up there and could afford almost anything they desired.
Yet, he preferred this sight of Hoseok. Baggy hoodie and jeans, skin greasy from spending the day at work then coming to Jungkook’s apartment to unpack. He’s nagging at you for taking up too much space, covering the surface area that Hoseok had claimed to be his under an unspoken contract as you frown when he slaps your leg.
He likes this. There’s no gowns and tuxes in a ballroom with hors d'oeuvres worth the price of a car per bite; there’s no young people at a party, getting wasted and high, fucking in bedrooms that they weren’t sure who it belonged to; there wasn’t a dining room full of both family and strangers that attempted to start small talk about things he didn’t care about— there was none of that. Just comfort from people he genuinely wanted to impress and make proud of him. He’s not sure if he’s ever felt this way before and he’s barely even known either of you that long. Jungkook has been spending most of his life trying to fill a void in him and has been unsuccessful. He’s finally feeling like he’s going somewhere.
You and Hoseok finally agree on what to eat and he learns that it’s your favorite. Pizza. Extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage, spinach with an ungodly amount of jalapeño peppers, Hoseok mentioned earlier that night that your tolerance for spicy foods is stronger than the pits of hell.
“Jesus, how are you eating this?” Jungkook cries, snot dripping from his nose while Hoseok wipes his tears after taking another bite. You sit there, unfazed, picking up the abandoned slices of peppers that sit in the box, dropping them into your mouth. “It’s honestly not that spicy. Don’t be dramatic.”
“Bitch, we are not being dramatic, your stomach is made out of whatever Captain America’s shield is made from...”
Jungkook’s phone buzzes in the midst of your argument with Hoseok and just from the name on his lock screen, his heart drops. Jeon Junghwan.
There were a couple things in life that Jungkook wanted to attain— the acceptance from Junghwan and his parents being on top of that list. Ever since Jungkook was younger, Junghwan had been the golden child, the rest of the four were just barely making it, arduously following in his footsteps. But he failed, he hasn’t been able to win the approval from him.
Jeon Junghwan [7:55PM]: Mother is having a charity banquet on Saturday. She would have called you but figured it’d be best if I contacted you instead. Something about ‘inspiration’. Please be at the estate at 7:00PM sharp.
Jeon Junghwan [7:55PM]: Goodnight, Junghwan.
“Why does he text like an old man?” Jungkook flinches, head turning sideways to meet with Hoseok hovering over his shoulder. “Junghwan, I mean. But cool, I was supposed to go to that banquet too, until I got called on a shift. Luckily you’re not scheduled.”
“Yeah...” He says quietly, seated on the floor as he leans back against the sides of the futon. “This is the first time I’m seeing my family after moving out. I need to plan this out right.”
“Well, what’s the plan?” Cheeks full of fries, you’re munching away on the other side of Jungkook as he contemplates the next steps he’s going to have to make in order to reach his goal. “One thing is for sure. You’re going to be my date.”
Tumblr media
The breath has been stolen away from his lungs and his heart feels like you’ve pierced through his chest cavity and squashed it into the palm of your hands. He doesn’t know what it’s called (maybe a blowout) but the way your hair cascades down to your shoulders is marveling. In a black long dress with a slit that exposes the entirety of your legs, his breath hitches when his eyes meet the skin of your thighs, the spaghetti straps drape over your décolletage with the v-cut neckline only finishing it off right. He thinks this is his fatal moment. He’s never seen you dolled up like this before; cheeks brushed with a peach blush, lashes emphasized with mascara, liner that makes you look even more fierce, and lips... so buttery pink and plump that almost wishes he could—
“Jungkook?” He shivers, immediately pushing the thoughts out of his head. You’d probably stab him in mere seconds if you knew what he was thinking about. “H-Hey. You look good.”
You grin, adjusting the fabric that hangs around your legs. “Thanks, you don’t look so bad yourself. Anyways, let’s get going. You said your brother sent a car for us?”
Even though Jungkook is a model and has posed in magazines in suits, it’s still a surprise to see how stunning he manages to look in person. He keeps his hair casual today, despite the formal attire, but when his fingertips rake through those luscious locks, it makes sense why he went with that decision. If you didn’t know any better, you wouldn’t believe that this hunk was living off of frozen meals and instant ramen for the past week.
He’s pretty, yet there’s something that you can’t help but loathe about him.
Jungkook is still from money, despite the amount of times you’ve seen him in the supermarket’s uniform and apron. It’s something you’ve been trying to force yourself to remember when you feel yourself slowly falling into the traps of his smile and looks. The reminder is there when a Mercedes Benz S-Class pulls up and Jungkook isn’t as astonished as you are. The window of the driver’s side rolls down, revealing a middle-aged man who wears a chauffeur’s hat and a grin upon his lips. “Jeon Jungkook, it’s a pleasure to see you again.”
“Hyungjin,” He dips his head in acknowledgement before saying your name, “... this is my date. This guy has been my driver since I was born. Park Hyungjin. He’s going to be taking us to the estate tonight.”
Jungkook opens the back door for you as you slide in with ease, completely in veneration at the characteristics of the vehicle. It feels luxurious, from the leather seats to the center console, and when you see Hyungjin beginning to raise the customized partition between the front and back seats, you’re shocked it can even do that until Jungkook halts him from doing so. “Uh, sorry, Hyungjin, she’s not one of those nights.”
Oh, you think to yourself, this was a routine. His preceding lifestyle is starting to unfold before you.
Arriving at the ‘estate,’ which was something you’d had been stuck with trying to adjust yourself in calling Jungkook’s family home, it’s an unreservedly different part of the home compared to your first visit however a sudden coldness hits your core from incredulity. How could anyone need a home this big? Jungkook guides you out of the car before you could even register the visuals of the home, waving Hyungjin goodbye and brisk “thank you.”
“Hold my hand.” His fingertips brush against the back of your hand discreetly, and as a reflex, you slap him away while he whimpers in pain. “What the hell was that for?”
“Sorry. Habit.” When you try to reach for him again, he opts for resting his palm on your lower back instead, keeping you close. “It’s okay. Is this alright?” You nod. “This is better anyway. We look close yet at the same time professional.”
When you step into the ballroom, you quickly learn that your previous time at the Jeon estate had only been a glimpse of what Jungkook’s sumptuous home had to offer. There’s something of a mezzanine or indoor balcony of some sorts with staircases that branch around the perimeter where a couple people stand idly. The chandelier that you saw in the dining room before was no comparison to what was currently hanging from the ceiling right now— there’s diamonds that hang like raindrops, intricately scattered with clear clarity that only the rich could identify and have the opportunity to see in person. The guests are dressed like those diamonds— sparkles and jewels of women that bathed in the crystals, accompanied by men who simply wore tuxedos and suits.
But the real stars of the show were the Jeons. With Mrs. Jeon’s hair in an updo, it accentuates her collarbones and shoulders where her dress lies; a beautiful detailed lavender gown that you can already sense the weight of when she drags it behind her. You see where Jungkook gets his genes from.
The filler music from the orchestra that plays in the corner stops, the chattering along with it as they all divert their attention to the Jeons that stand by the railings of the balcony— the four boys and their dates. All that’s missing is Jungkook who stands beside you, hand graduating from your lower back to your waist.
“Hello, everyone,” Mrs. Jeon greets, a pearly white smile upon her lips. “I am so thankful for your attendance here. As you know, tonight is dedicated toward the Cancer Research Foundation of Seoul, known as the CRFS, and I will be the host tonight but the true genius behind this all is my son, Jeon Jungsik.”
Jungsik approaches his mother from the side, dressed just as well as the rest of his siblings, shaking his head in disapproval. “Mother, I couldn’t have done this without you,” He says humbly, eyes browsing the crowd but pauses when he sees Jungkook with you by his side. There’s something hidden behind his stare, Jungkook hypothesizes, because his modest brother suddenly wants the spotlight whereas previously, he’d be standing in the audience. He can’t tell if it’s because it’s the first family event where he’s sober or if truly there’s something about Jungsik that’s different. “But tonight is a different kind of night. We’re here today not to just donate what we can to a good cause, but celebrating as well. I’m announcing my engagement with Kim Nari.”
An abrupt realization washes over Jungkook.
Kim Nari. The daughter of a tech mogul whose relationship with Jungsik would further advance the Jeon Corporation and skyrocket their profits. Her marriage with Jungsik would link the two companies together, creating possibilities for what seemed to be impossible. Which brings to question, why would Jungsik be interested in Nari? She’s a reflection in the mirror of Jungkook himself— uncontrollable, spoiled, and dependent with no future planned. Why would Jungsik, someone with passions, dreams, and stability want to be with someone like that? Something was up, and Jungkook can taste the bitterness in his mouth.
“Penny for your thoughts?” You ask, but you genuinely don’t care. Anything would be better than listening to conversations that were beginning to start up again at the hasty announcement. Nari has one of her hands sitting upon the rail, waving as if she’s the Queen of England, with a dress that may be deemed inappropriate for a setting like this. It seems that the rest of the family is hearing the engagement for the first time though because Mrs. Jeon looks like she’s going to faint and Mr. Jeon is holding in his anger rather than noticing Nari’s attire.
“Nothing, just... something weird with my brother.” He says before turning to give you his attention again. “Anyway, should I introduce you to my horrific bloodline?”
When Jungkook guides you toward his family members that have begun trickling down the staircase, you’re appearing to have heart palpitations from the suspense. The way the Jeons walk is intimidating alone; shoulders pushed back, straightened posture, and smiles that resemble authenticity on the surface but daggers will be pulled at their disposal if anything goes haywire.
“Mother, Father, this is my girlfriend...” You altogether miss when Jungkook says your name from the sight of his family up close until he squeezes your waist gingerly to capture your awareness again. “Oh, yes, hi,” You bow speedily, “I’m uh, Jungkook’s girlfriend.” Wait. Didn’t he just say that?
“Are you now? Last time we spoke, you said you weren’t,” Mrs. Jeon comments, and albeit her words sound harsh, the draw of her lips upwards say otherwise. It feels a bit forced, but you know it’s from the sudden news coming from Jungsik. There’s a façade of happiness when deep down, she’s disappointed. “We... we met after that night and he treated me to dinner for taking care of him. We’ve been... seeing each other ever since.”
Mr. Jeon stands there in silence, observing the conversation between you and his wife before unexpectedly speaking up. “Did you attend University? And have you graduated yet?”
Jungkook knows what this is. The Interrogation. Every Jeon child’s significant other has gone through this and you were next. He had completely forgotten about it— mostly because his other brothers had gone through it years ago, and Jongseok’s ‘girlfriends’ had never really been girlfriends, so their dad had given up on that until someone serious came by.
He never thought it’d be him before Jongseok.
“Yes, back in 2016.” You state, fingers fidgeting with the metal chain of your purse. It was a simple question yet the way it’s executed is as if he’s searching for a particular answer.
The older gentleman tilts his head, the space between his brows crinkling in perplexity. He looks so much like Jungkook, except matured with wisdom, and if Jungkook was of any replication of his father when he’s that age, he’d probably still have a line of women after him. “So you’re older than Jungkook.”
“No, father,”  Jungkook chimes in, “... Quite the opposite. She’s actually a year younger than me. Graduated University rather early. Or... well, she finished high school early.” He can see from his peripheral vision that he has captured the ears of his other siblings that stand languidly. “Gifted, really. Child prodigy. Despite all the talented Jeon children, we’ve never had one of those.”
There’s a glimmer in his father’s eyes. He’s impressed. “Really?” His stiff tone has shifted to a lighter one. “Did you study in Seoul? What was your degree in?”
“No, uh, I actually studied abroad in New York after graduating high school. I was about... maybe fifteen at the time? I chose Food Science— I thought about being a Chef because my inspiration is Guy Fieri but someone told me to be a bit more realistic with my brain so here we are.”
Guy Fieri? Jungkook stifles a laugh at your secretive role model, rubbing your sides comfortingly. It’s something to tease you about later, but right now, you have a job to do. Swoon his father.
Mr. Jeon nods, hands slipping into the front pockets of his slacks. “Remarkable. We could use someone like you in the Jeon Corporation.”
Both you and Jungkook choke, clearing your throats at the sudden suggestion, glancing at one another. “I’m sorry?”
“I’m thinking about opening a chain of restaurants, something high end, something different.” Jungkook’s brothers are stepping in closer to listen shamelessly to the conversation, the look of disarray stamped onto each one of their faces as if it’s the first time they’re hearing this information, for the second time tonight. “I would love it if you gave me your take on how to proceed on some things, and help the chef formulate something that makes sense without him cheating me out on prices. Jungkook, tell Maeri to schedule something for us so I can discuss further details.”
“I’m sorry, sir,” You blurt, palms growing sweaty. “But you just met me, and Jungkook and I just started dating. Are you sure you trust me?” It’s another experience of déjà vu; Jungkook mirroring his father’s actions at the yacht party when he claims that he’d pay for your aspirations.
“Of course. Jeon Jungkook doesn’t have girlfriends.”
Just then, someone taps his shoulder and whispers something ineligible into his ear before he turns to you with his hand extended, and you take the offer with a firm shake. “I’m needed elsewhere. It was nice meeting you. Glad to know Jungkook chose someone fitting.” And with that, he leaves.
“Well, that was pleasant,” Mrs. Jeon comments, hand resting on Jungkook’s shoulder. “Seems that sending you off to live alone has brought nothing but good impressions on your father. Keep it up, Kook-ah. I’m going to go accompany him, so in the meanwhile, introduce her to your brothers, why don’t you?”
Turning your body to face Jungkook, you let out the hugest breath you’ve ever held in your entire life. “What was that?”
He looks equally as stunned as you. “I don’t know but that went so much better than I actually thought. I think that was the fastest he’s ever been fascinated by any of our girlfriends.”
Jungkook’s father had strict outlooks for the company, one of them being that he wanted nothing but pure Jeon blood leading the corporation. This meant that the significant others of any of his children weren’t allowed to be part of the trade. So why did he ask you particularly for a hand in the family business?
“Jungkook,” One of his brothers calls out, your heads sharply jolting at the sound of his voice.
Have you ever watched Boys Over Flowers? When the Flower 4 walk through any entrance, it’s like time slows down and their hair flows through the wind like they’re models?
That’s what pretty much happens.
“Hyungs.” He says; it’s their own version of a hello and the atmosphere between them is tense. “It’s nice to see you sober, Jungkook.”
His jaw tightens. “I wasn’t an addict, just you so know. Made it easier being around you all.”
“Yeah, yeah,” The one you assume is Jongseok from your previous google search waves his hand, disregarding Jungkook’s statement before pointing his finger directly at you. If only you could bite it off along with his rude mannerisms. “Girl toy?”
“Girlfriend,” Jungkook corrects him and his other brothers are intrigued. “This is my girlfriend,...” As he says your name, your eyes immediately are drawn to the woman behind one of the males; shiny caramel colored hair with the simplest white dress that hugs her small waist that still manages to make her look like a goddess with a smile that was so sweet your teeth start to hurt. You recall catching a sight of her in the same magazines that Jungkook featured in and on the posters at the mall whenever you’d walk into a store but how she looked in person was flawless compared to those photos. She was like the real life version of a photoshopped picture.
“This is Hayoung, my brother Junghwan’s wife.”
“Uh, H-H-Hi,” why does she make you so nervous? Do you get anxious around extremely beautiful women? “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Likewise,” She hums, cheekbones high with her grin. “Kookie never mentioned he had a girlfriend, let alone brought anyone to meet his family before.”
“Kookie?” You reiterate with a mocking tone. He knows you’ll never let him live this down. Least he still had the Guy Fieri thing up his sleeve. “Noona, it would’ve been nice to keep that away from her for a bit. I’m trying to ease her into this madness. She’s probably still recovering from that conversation with our father.”
“As if!” Hayoung counters back. Her husband, Junghwan, wraps an arm around her waist before dipping his head slightly toward you. “I’m Junghwan, Jungkook’s older brother.” He then begins to point at the other gentlemen. “Jonghyun, Jungsik, and Jongseok, respectively.”
Frankly, it had been a lot to unpack for the night, and you assumed that the boxes back at his apartment were a lot, but this was truly a lot. Within an hour, Jungkook introduces you to almost anyone that plays a significant role in his life and elaborates on each of their backgrounds.
Junghwan, his eldest brother, is married to the international supermodel Na Hayoung, and he’s the next in line to inherit the CEO position when his father steps down from the company. He’s been trained all his life for this role, apparently, and it’s evident in how he carries himself. Jonghyun, the second oldest, stands behind Junghwan in the company, supposedly his right hand man when it comes to business, joined at the hip although their personal relationship with each other isn’t as close. He’s also married, Jungkook mentions, but his wife is currently very pregnant and at home. He skips over Jungsik, only because you’ve met him over dinner, but he doesn’t miss a beat when he says that Jungsik is purportedly the angelic Jeon. Lastly was Jongseok, the last sibling before himself, and was described as something along the lines of, “the most useless, right after myself, and if it weren’t for his involvement with the marketing department because of his diploma, he’d be living in a studio apartment downtown, cut off from this family too.” Jungkook’s words, not yours.
The night slowly reaches an end, people scattering to leave the estate, thanking Jungkook’s parents for hosting such a charitable event. Just before you’re about to step out along with Jungkook, his mother had her fingers wrapped around your wrist. “Jungkook, you and your lovely girlfriend should stay the night. Downtown is far and your siblings will be here as well. Maybe you can show her to your bedroom? I know you’ve been missing your bed and well... maybe show her around your childhood home.” She pauses for a moment as Jungkook hesitates as you eye him suspiciously before interrupting his thoughts. “Your father wants to speak to you and your brothers in the morning anyways, so it would be nice for you to stay for breakfast, dear.”
Tumblr media
“Are you fucking dense, Jeon Jungkook? I do not want to stay the night here.” Contradicting your angry words, you’re already unlatching the attachment on the straps of your heels, sliding them off while seated on the bay window seats of his bedroom, rubbing the soles of your feet. “I’m sorry,” He mutters weakly, falling on the foot of his bed. “I don’t know how to say no to my mother.”
“Well, quit being a fucking momma’s boy and call an Uber. I want to go home, Jungkook.”
“Uber’s don’t run this late at night in the area. We live too far off the grid.”
“Well, then ask Mr. Hyungjin to pull up in his whip and take us home.”
His face drops, a guilty look pooling in his orbs. “We sent him home. He’s technically off on the weekends. Hyungjin only came out because Junghwan asked for him beforehand.”
You grumble, laying back on the cushions, locks tangling along with your mood. “What are we supposed to do here? Share a bed? What am I supposed to wear to sleep? Did you already ask your housemaids?”
“No,” He answers bleakly, standing up. “But I’ll go ask now. In the meantime, you can watch some TV? Then when I come back you can shower and do whatever you need. I think I have a spare toothbrush for you to borrow. As for the bed thing...” Jungkook looks over at that California King that he misses so much. “... it’s more than big enough for the two of us, I’ll keep my distance from you without a problem.”
Before you can counter the suggestion, he’s already out the door.
Perusing through his bedroom, you soon learn that this ‘room’ of his is the size of your childhood bedroom times five with a closet the size of your apartment with a connecting bathroom that was equivalent in surface area.
Then it has you thinking. Jungkook grew up like this, in a life of grandeur where everything he had, he had a plethora of. Whether it be education, belongings, or the aid of people who tended to every need he had, it never seems to run out. He had a driver since he was born while you struggled to learn how to take the bus alone at the age of 7. Or running out of money to pay for a new notebook for class since you’ve been using the same one for the past two grades in order to save cash so your parents could put food on the table. While Jungkook over here was probably tearing down trees in his yard to make all the paper in the world. What about noticing that you were ahead of the kids in your class? No one seemed to have realized it until you said to someone that you were bored, and needed more challenging material when you got sent to the Principal’s office per request, begging to be with the bigger kids.
If you had the money Jungkook had, you would’ve been able to pay off both yours and your parents’ debt in addition to opening your bakery all within the same year.
But you aren’t Jungkook, and jealousy just runs through your veins alongside the enmity.
Tumblr media
Entering through the housemaids’ chambers was a nostalgic feeling that he couldn’t exactly say was his favorite. Sneaking down here during the late hours of the night for quick sex and running back up to his bedroom felt like such a teenager thing to do at the age of twenty, so he instantaneously gave up on that.
There’s two wooden doors to choose from. Nayeon, the house servant he slept with several times before realizing that she had falling for him while thinking it was some forbidden love, and Hana... also a servant that he had sex with until she also fell in love with him.
So which one of them would be less upset about him asking to borrow their sleepwear for his new girlfriend?
Answer to that question: neither because they both slammed their doors on him after asking. He should’ve figured that sooner.
Next stop: Junghwan’s room. Maybe Hayoung had something for you.
He hesitates when he’s standing outside of his brother’s bedroom door. It takes him back to when he was a kid all over again, desperate for his big brother’s attention who didn’t even have enough time to dedicate to him. Taking in a deep breath of courage, he does it yet again, his knuckles tapping against the wood that makes the same knocking sound.
Peeking out, Junghwan looks at Jungkook with a perplexed expression. “Jungkook, what’s up? Are you alright?”
“Uh, yeah. Is noona with you?” He nods. “Yeah, of course. She’s washing her face right now, wanna come in?” Jungkook steps into the room, ambivalent with each movement because he’s never been invited into Junghwan’s room before. It’s almost exactly what his room looks like, except all the shades are dark, varying from grey to navy, with his bed, closet, and bathrooms in the same locations.
“Hayoung, Jungkook is looking for you.”
“Kookie?” Coming out the bathroom with a robe on, her hair is drenched as she attempts to towel dry it, face pretty even without makeup. “What’s up, bub?”
“Uh, my girlfriend,” He starts, rubbing the back of his nape anxiously because he’s never said those words before, “She doesn’t have anything to wear tonight. I have some clothes, but I think she’d feel more comfortable if she at least has some pants.”
“Tell her to sleep in her underwear, what’s the problem?” Because she’s not really my girlfriend, is what he wants to say, but he takes a different approach. “We’re... still in the early stages. So, uh, you know. She’s shy.” She shakes her head with a smile upon her lips. “Okay. Give me a second. I have a bunch of clothes that I left when we used to live here.” With that, she disappears into the closet.
“I’m... proud of you, Jungkook.” Junghwan speaks up, protruding through the silence. Jungkook just stares in bewilderment, unsure what he even did to make Junghwan say those words he had dreamt to hear coming from his eldest brother. “Other than landing a girlfriend who is definitely way out of your league, you’re actually showing some progress living alone. I honestly didn’t really agree with the plan that Jongseok proposed but... I see it’s working well.”
“W-What do you mean?” Jungkook questions. He still can’t believe what he’s hearing.
Junghwan hums. “You were able to find a job yourself. I haven’t seen you coming back begging for money again, and you found someone who doesn’t have the facilities to give you the lifestyle that our parents gave us. You found love without money and I think it really makes a person humble.” He’s fiddling with the strings of his sweatpants now, comprehending that the two of them don’t really talk one-on-one. “I know I changed a lot when I met Hayoung.”
“Kookie, I think I have a couple options for you— whoa, why does it feel so sad here?” She remarks, stopping in the midst of her walk toward Jungkook. “You guys... alright?”
“Nothing,” Junghwan responds quickly. “I just wanted to tell Jungkook that I’m proud of him.” This does nothing but prompt Hayoung to roll her eyes, laying out a pair of shorts and a silky baby blue nightgown. “Junghwan is always proud of Kookie, just not always the decision he makes. Anyways,” She completely brushes off the topic that Jungkook wants to hear, but he’ll circle back to that later. He had a pretty girl waiting in his room who had the temper of the Hulk. “I have two options for you to give her. Maybe you’ll get lucky and she’ll wear the night gown?”
Jungkook scoffs. “If I brought that to her, she’d probably wrap it around my neck and choke me within seconds. Keep the gown, I’m taking the shorts. I’ll let her wear one of my T-shirts.”
“Are you sure?” Hayoung sings and Jungkook tells her he’s almost confident that he’s going to die tonight if he so much reaches the door with that thing in his hands.
Tumblr media
Jungkook chucks the shorts at your face while you’re laying on your back on his mattress. “Here you go, Mrs. Fieri. The girls wouldn’t lend me anything because well... I may have slept with them both and they were hopelessly in love with me. Hayoung noona gave me those shorts instead.” He’s babbling on about how rude the housemaids had been when he asked, but you’re canceling his voice out because the coolest chick you’ve ever met just lent you her shorts.
“... Are you even listening to me?”
“Huh?”
He snaps his fingers in front of your face but registers that it’s no use. You’re too busy trying to decipher how God decided to gift Hayoung the looks and the personality that you miss when Jungkook leaves the closet, throwing a plain white t-shirt at your direction. It’s huge compared to you, yet seems like it would fit him well. “Go shower. I’ll be in there after you.”
It’s awkward.
So goddamn awkward.
Jungkook is wearing a black T-shirt of some band you can’t recognize because the majority of the print has been worn off paired with grey sweatpants that hug his ass so beautifully. Scratch that. You never thought that. They look soft. That’s what you meant.
While you’re currently occupied with attempting to avoid looking at Jungkook, he can’t stop staring at your exposed legs and notice how small and cute you are. Soft. It’s tempting him to want to wrap his arms around your frame and snuggle his nose into the crook of your neck while inhaling the scent of his body wash on your skin. He wants to blame it on the dry spell he’s having because all he does is work nowadays that once he gets home, he’s completely drained. Alcohol doesn’t even appear in his mind either. Or maybe he genuinely thinks you’re pretty and having you in his bed doesn’t make it any better.
Sitting on the farthest opposite ends of the bed, Jungkook clears his throat. “See? I told you that the bed is way too big for the two of us. Should be easy to steer clear from each other.”
Wrong. Incorrect. You should’ve known that Jungkook would be fallacious.
The sun gleams through the sheer white blinds of his prodigious windows, illuminating your faces on an unironically Sunday morning, emitting a groan from a stiff beside you. Your body feels heavier than usual, almost like something was pressing down on you.
You panic. Were you having a stroke?
After forcing your eyes open from the dry boogers, you can’t believe the sight. Jungkook has his arms and legs tangled in the sheets with yours, nose brushing against your shoulder. He’s so cosy, the most he’s ever been, and the warmth from your body is like a different feeling of home for him. It’s comforting like a cup of hot chocolate during the harsh weather in the Winter or swaddling yourself in a blanket in front of the fireplace. Now knowing how it feels to be in your embrace, he’s not sure if he wants to let go.
“Jungkook, please get the fuck off me.” You bite. Cuddling was not what was discussed in the terms of agreement. Not that there was one but having a buff guy curled up beside you that wasn’t actually dating you was making your heart do cartwheels when it shouldn’t be. He doesn’t seem a bit rattled knowing that he’s snuggling up against you because he scoots even closer. “Five more minutes.” He mutters. His dreams of taking in the aroma of your natural scent mixed in with his shower gel were coming true.
You push him off with as much strength as your body could gather, yet you fail underneath those muscular arms. Those big, thick—
There’s one knock and someone just immediately flings the door open with a gasp.
But then you see them. Jungsik and Jongseok.
You don’t know why but you care about how Jungsik sees you, but you care. He’s the closest to your ideal type— as unrealistic as it is for him to ever have a relationship with you, especially since he has a fiancé now— yet at the same time, he knows you’re ‘dating’ Jungkook, and whether or not he believes it, you’re not sure, but your chances were already wearing thin as it is, even worse now that he’s witnessing you in the same bed as his youngest brother. You may have a teensy weensy little crush on your fake boyfriend’s brother.
“Cute,” He chuckles, already dressed in his daily attire; grey slacks that crop at the ankle and a navy dress shirt that doesn’t button up all the way, hugging tightly around his pecs that doesn’t leave much to the imagination. “Well, we’re sorry for intruding. Father wants us down for breakfast within an hour. Wake up your boyfriend for us, will you?”
“I’m not sorry,” Jongseok adds with a devilish grin before he quickly shuts the door and leaves promptly with Jungsik. Jungkook hasn’t even moved, not even twitching the slightest bit despite his brothers’ abrupt invasion.
You officially hate Jungkook even more... if that was even possible.

There's an abundance of choices for breakfast foods that sits on the length of the dining room table that you had gotten a glimpse of during your first visit to the Jeon estate, more food than you've ever seen in one place. They had waffles, pancakes, sausages, bacon, toast—all that’s expected of a typical American breakfast laid out like it’s a picture from the Food Network Magazine. He has servants, shuffling through in and out of the room, placing plates and utensils in specific detailed orders before they pull out the heavy upholstered wooden chairs for each and every member of the family in invitation.
"Uh, it's okay, thank you, I got it—" The woman who has her hands gripped on the framing of the seat tightly as she clenches her jaw, has a glare shooting lasers in your direction. Maybe you'd just take the offer and sit instead. She might be one of Jungkook's late night affairs, you never know what she'd do to your food if you didn't comply.
Sticking out like a sore thumb, you settle yourself by your now claimed to-be-boyfriend who sits comfortably in his own seat since he's owned it for two decades now. You, however, it's your first day and you're not even sure how to feel. Hayoung seems to be doing the opposite; eyes shiny from excitement at the sight of all the options that are laid out in front of her. You can agree to her interest, the Belgium waffles that's stacked at the center of the table with a square of butter residing on top makes your mouth water.
"Thank you all for coming," Jungkook's father announces, the chair he's rested on makes him look so tiny at the head of the table. "I want to discuss some matters with all of you and also invite Jungkook's new love into the family. Honestly never thought this day would come where I'd see my most troublesome child make such advancements in a short span of time."
There's reticence along the table, Mrs. Jeon beside him, eyes searching the table for something in particular. "The proceedings with this engagement with Kim Nari, Jungsik. What did you expect would happen with that?"
And there it was. The conversation that had been put off last night due to guests being on the residence. It's because of two of the things that Mr. Jeon stood by when it came to his family and business: no bloodline, no business entrance had been challenged and the Interrogation had never been in place.
"Father," Jungsik clears his throat, pressing his back against the cushion. "I'll have you know that I'm only thinking of the future of our company."
"Without talking to me about it?" He snaps, agitated. He doesn't even care that a complete stranger is sitting at the table with them. "What gives you the right to be the only person to know what's good or not for the company? Why not consult with Jonghyun and Junghwan? Why am I told that no one knew about this?"
"Well, I thought—"
"You thought wrong." He confirms, and the Belgium waffles don't seem as appealing anymore. His firmness makes your stomach queasy, despite not being his current victim. "Terminate your engagement. You don't love her anyways. I don't need any affiliation with a self-obsessed tech company."
"But father—"
"None of that." He shushes his son, laying a beige cloth napkin on his lap. "I'm tired of having to teach you how we run this business. I gave you a percentage of the company and I expect you to know what to do with it, which is not to share it with some airhead who doesn't even understand what her own father's company does." Jungsik's body stiffened at his father's lecture after he made a decision solely for what he believed was beneficial for the family business. "Anyways, let's eat."
"Why do you favor Junghwan over the rest of us?" Jungsik spits, fist slamming against the table. The cups, silverware, and plates trembled underneath his strength, startling you. "I can't believe that I let you walk over us for so long. I can't believe that any of us has let you do it. In reality, none of us get your fortune, just Junghwan. What about the rest of your children? Do you have the only one? Or did mother have an affair for the remaining four?"
Yum, drama. You admit you were getting a little bored last night at the banquet, but his conversation was perking you up in interest. Jungkook oddly remains cool, turning to tap one of the housemaids to pour you some apple juice, patiently waiting for the go to eat.
Jungsik is disparate in this light because he's not the compassionate and gentle soul you had assumed he was during your first encounters and what was seen on the internet. He’s fierce and competitive, in actuality, with this hidden duel behind doors against his eldest brother. The description written of him was all an image that was portrayed to the public and you start to see what Jungkook means now when he says "apparently" or "supposedly" whenever talking about his older brother.
And Jungkook... he's strangely distinctive as well when sitting amongst his siblings. He's quiet, actually, and attentive, but you take note that he mentions before how he often comes to these things under the influence, and that your presence was what halts him from doing so.
"Just eat. We'll talk privately later." Mr. Jeon says through his gritted teeth, tips of his ears fading red from Jungsik talking back.
"I saw you eying that waffle earlier," Jungkook says in a hushed tone, leaning into you. "Want one? I'll grab it for you."
OK, maybe he wasn't that bad. He knows what you like and he’s getting it for you. You’ve waited long enough.
The Jeons are awfully good at pretending the argument between Mr. Jeon and Jungsik didn't occur. Everyone sits in lull, occasionally exchanging comments with whomever sits beside them but consuming their breakfast with glee. It wasn't something you were used to.
When you're back into Jungkook's room, you slip on a jacket that you brought the night before, zipping it up. "Is that... normal?"
"What's normal?"
"That whole thing with Jungsik and your dad. Do they fight often? And do you guys normally just... sit there and forget it even happens afterwards?"
He slides onto the bed one last time, inhaling deeply in the scent of lavender, wishing he could take this bed with him as he absentmindedly responds, "Mmm. Yeah."
What kind of family dynamic is this? "Yeah? And you just... watch?"
"Well, what else are we supposed to do? Join in? Take sides? Hell no. It's a different sibling each meal and every time there’s always someone being jealous of someone else. We don’t really get along here and it’s just what we’re used to.”
Treading into Jungkook’s reality was starting to become comprehensible. Almost justifying the way he is, how he’s utterly clueless in basic situations and disconnected he was from the world. Because this is his world; his parents, four brothers, and house full of servants, and he knows nothing outside of it. Their home is completely off the grid, separated from people living regular lives, he even has his own tennis court (you learned from the view from his bedroom), and no one normal has their own private tennis court. His mother has been shielding him his entire life, letting him grow and become a shell of a man in an empty home.
Family isn’t family to him, is what you’ve come to terms with and something he hasn’t yet accepted because he hasn’t seen what a real family looks or feels like. His home isn’t a real home but brimming with employees who work for his family that probably see him more than the people who he called relatives.
It makes you pity him and want to show him what it’s like to be home.

“You're on a path in the woods. And at the end of that path, is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin, is a knight. You are here to slay him. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.”
Tumblr media
Please accept my meager shitty art as we come back for part three of the "Moga fuses her hyperfixations together" saga! Aka: Slay the Knight AU!
Here's what I think Emilia and Subaru would look like, in true STP fashion I imagine both would never be referred to by name, instead being The Knight and The Frozen Bond (hah, get it?)
I made Emilia a little scary (and kinda Satella-esque), but that's mainly because from what we see in The Princess and The Dragon route, The Long Quiet is just actually fucking scary, so having Emilia be similarly intimidating would be fun.
Though I do think her personality would remain the same in this au, mainly because she's nice enough that she would naturally play mediator to the the voices, but malleable enough that she could just end up going with their whims when pushed enough.
Now for Subaru, I actually wanted to give him a definitive outfit that would kinda function like the Princess's dress, something that is a constant in every design but changed to fit the theme, the recognizable trait that showcases that no matter how fucked up these forms get they're still the same person
That's kinda why the little cape is there, it's supposed to be a significant design choice that can be warped with future forms
For the official lore, I like to think that it's still actually very similar:
The Frozen Bond, the manifestation/god of stasis, consistency, the chilling frozen in time allure of stagnation
While Subaru would be something like The Returning Cycle, the manifestation/god if constant change, perspective and identities splitting depending on choices, the constant cycle of time
Together they'd make the cycle of life and death, in a sense, and since Echidna in canon was trying to find a way to reach immortality, it is only fitting that she would split them apart and attempt to pit them against the other, as to goad Emilia into killing Subaru, this ending the concept of change, making it so that there is no means of which others can die.
But that's what I have for the moment, now, let's talk about some more ideas I have for the IF Barus
The Prisoner, my beloved
Tumblr media
I rewatched someone playing her route and it dawned on me when The Shifting Mound described her as a vessel, but she's oddly a lot like Slothbaru
The idea of someone cautious to the point of stagnation, content to let the world pass her and remain in inaction, I mean, that's literally what Sloth is shown to be in the og series. That's also inherently what Slothbaru did when he took Rem's hand and ran away, leaving everyone else to die, but gaining a happy life for himself
Prisoner is like an Slothbaru that can't take Rem's hand, content to let the world pass him by for the sake of self preservation, but stuck in one place without the chance of running away, he can only wait and see because he's inherently passive, as he thinks he has no other choice
The Adversary, however, is the funniest one I think
Tumblr media
Someone mentioned in the last post in the tags that Adversary is kinda Smolbaru coded, so I went back to read the arena fights in arc 7 and y'know what? They're correct, they're absolutely right, The Adversary is very much just Smolbaru
Which is funny, because The Adversary is supposed to be bigger and stronger than usual, though maybe it's either just that his personality is Smolbaru and his appearance is still intimidating, or we go all in and have Smolbaru just absolutely kick Emilia's ass with his bare hands in this one
Either way, I love it, also this is the route where Priscilla (Voice of the Proud) would show up, so having an Arc 7 Baru here would be a nice touch
Ok so I'm about to sound unhinged, but the Grey's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if they were Natsumi.
Now, look, I have no evidence to back me up on this, I'm going off from pure vibes alone, but like what if
Honestly, it would be fun to have most of the Deadbarus be in some way or another Natsumi coded, though that would be fused with the Baru that lead to their routes in the first place (like Arc 1 Baru for the Burned Grey and Slothbaru for the Drowned Grey)
I mean, look at The Wraith and The Spectre
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine if the Spectre was more akin to Natsumi in her purest form, since the Spectre is actually surprisingly chill and nice about this whole thing, and then if you attempt to leave him there, you get the Wraith
A withered rotten version of Natsumi, falling apart at the seams and determined to hitch a ride and finally leave
In more confirmed Barus; Wrathbaru as The Witch and The Thorn, Greedbaru as Happily Ever After and Arc 1-2 Baru as The Damsel, The Nightmare would be Gluttonybaru and A Moment Of Clarity would still be Gluttonybaru but with more Louis/Rui elements
Again, I accept suggestions, and tell me if you want me to make more art for this AU, maybe I can draw more Barus and also the voices, who knows?
Edit: good news gang, I actually did in fact write this! The first chapter of this au is out here!

Starting My Sagau Writing Journey
Ok Im wanting to dip my toes into the Sagau writing scene and I wanted to put out about 3 ideas I have and plan on writing. Each idea will be outlined below and people are welcome to take inspiration off of them just make sure to tag me in the writing. There will also be a poll at the end where you can vote for which one you want to see first. When I finish writing each chapter they will be put up on AO3.
Tumblr media
Shimeji AU:
For those who don't know, Shimeji is a browser extension that spawns a chibi version of a character onto your browser. This character can then move around and climb on the borders of your web page and just be a cute little distraction (I know this might sound like malware but its not I've had a Venti and a Lumine Shimegi for a while now and haven't experienced anything that can imply they are malware)
This would be more of a drabble and less of a full fic.
Basically the characters in genshin become aware through their Shimeji and then begin acting up in your browser when you're out of the game (when you're in game you're fine).
If you leave your web browser opened when you leave your computer you will come back to it being on a weird page
Like Venti looking at a wine website
Diluc somehow ending up on a streaming service watching Batman
Yae Miko finding your writing
I'll likely start off with characters from Mondstadt and go down the list for each region.
Tumblr media
Kidnapped by the Harbingers (not the final title):
Exactly as it sounds, in the middle of the night you are taken from your college dorm (or room I likely won't specify) to Teyvat after the harbingers find a way into our world.
Haven't decided which harbinger will be sent (leaning towards Childe because I feel like it would fit best and he'd be down for that type of experiment).
Most of it will take place in a separate castle from Zapolyarny Palace.
If you want to know my specific location I have in mind their is a visual novel called Dottore And The Spy where you become Dottores apprentice (highly suggest this visual novel) but its main story takes place in a castle in the middle of a frozen wasteland away from civilization where both Pantalon and Dottore live. This will be the main location for the story.
I'll also be adding in Capitano as another permanent resident of this castle because I want to write about a big strong man who is the emotional intelligence of the three main harbingers present.
The other harbingers and the Tsaritsa will appear but they will be much more understated in their role.
I want this fanfic to go into the mental load that being locked away from the world has on a person's psyche.
Readers' powers will slowly awaken, making it harder for the Harbingers to keep us a secret from Teyvat and specifically Celestia.
This won't be a full blown yandere fic with the harbingers, they will be slightly possessive but it is more about your safety since Celestia doesn't like you.
Celestia will be the ultimate enemy over all but the story will not be focused on shooting down Celestia from the sky as readers powers will not ever reach the strength needed to face Celestia alone.
Harbingers plan will not have changed; they are still working to take down Celestia.
This will be taking place after Sumeru (so no Scara or La Signora and their will be less clones)
The story will also include
Getting to know and bond with your castle staff like maids or ladies in waiting (I know these are typically only given to female presenting reader but I want to write about gossip and forming friendships so this is what I'm going with)
Quality time with each harbinger
Impressing Dottore with your basic levels of knowledge on Astronomy (since Teyvats sky is fake)
Eventually a runaway arch
Lots of tears and mental breakdowns, but don’t worry there will be comfort as well
Shenanigans
Possibly NSFW after reader finally convinces everyone to stop calling them “your grace”
Tumblr media
To Make a Haven (Title might change):
Imposter (but reader is the real deal) AU
Reader gets killed once by a mob of NPCs
I want it specifically to be NPCs so the reader still has emotional attachment to the playable characters
Reader seeks out a safe and secluded place
Teyvat awakens to readers distress and opens up a hidden area of the map to the reader that can only be accessed through very specific means.
Reader eventually starts bringing in Hilichurls to what for now im going to be calling “the Grove”
Reader will begin messing around and experimenting with her powers and finds a way to somewhat heal the hilichurls
This isn't a full fix it will be like layering a curse on top of a curse in order to negate some of the effects of the original curse
The hilicurls will not return to being human they will become something else (human like but not human)
This fic will contain way more original characters
Reader will be more spiteful in this fic but less in like a “make everyone suffer” way and more like “lets shake up the system and make everything more challenging for people because they tried to kill me”
This fic will span over a larger span of time in world with the reader building a full city in the hidden area Teyvat made for them.
Tumblr media
Well those are my three ideas! after this poll is done I'm hoping to get the first chapter out with that week, but I'm a college student and it been a while since I have written fanfiction so i make no promises.

Would love to know more about symbiotic AU if you wanna share some things
(WIP list)
my newest endeavor!! this is one of those ideas that sounds so fucking convoluted and awful every time I try to explain it, but please stick with me lol.
It's loosely canon, though now Oscar's rookie year and the WCC take place in 2024, with half-demon Lando as his teammate.
Lando feeds on chaotic vices, things like rage, greed, and ambition -- which is what drew him to racing when he was a boy. But he's grown tired of the... superficiality of the people around him. All their ambitions are the same ('I want to be a legend blah blah blah, I want to win waaaaah') and all their anger exists on a short fuse. It's not enough to sustain him anymore, until he comes across Oscar in the paddock.
His anger is different, if Lando can even call it anger. It's a simmering sort of rage, heavily suppressed but boiling just under his skin. It's like Lando can see it, tinting everything about him a little pink. He can taste it, the way that Oscar would crash out half the grid if it meant he was one step closer to beating them; the winning is secondary. Making everyone lose is what matters.
Oscar won't admit that though. He's a good guy -- he is -- but he's greedy. They're all greedy, he knows that, but it's not polite to make it known. So he doesn't.
But Lando knows, and Lando's starving. And he's pretty certain that Oscar's the only human he's met that's strong enough to feed him and reap the rewards of a demon's contract.
So it becomes a story in two parts: Demon Lando waging psychosexual war on Oscar in his dreams in a desperate attempt at getting him to sign a contract, and Oscar developing feelings for his very stupid, very giggly, very endearing, very fast teammate.
How either will deal with the feelings the other brings up in them is a issue they'll have to sort out.
Here's a snippet! NSFW, so going below a cut <33
Symbiotic
"Touch me," Lando breathes, words bouncing between Oscar's ears like he said it with two voices, two mouths pressed against his neck, lips parted and wanting. "Touch me, Oscar, it's ok. I won't –"
His stomach churns, abs flexing to keep in a low groan as Lando presses his hand down harder into his chest – seeking leverage to grind against him so perfectly – fuck he's so cl–
"Yeah?" Lando smiles, the sharp corners of his lips piercing through Oscar's lungs, stilling his breath. "That feel good?"
Oscar's gasping for it – air, Lando. There's no difference between the two, intricately intertwined as Lando touches him, as the air grows sweltering hot, as Oscar's vision swims with a delirious blend of golden tan and sweat, and he chokes, he chokes on shallow mouthfuls of hot, thick air and Lando's smile, it's –
"Touch me." Lando whispers, digging in his nails and leaning closer still – terrifyingly violent eyes filling Oscar's view. "And I'll give you anything you want."
He could rip out Oscar's heart. Oscar knows he wants to, daydreams of it pounding between his strong, rough fingers and squeeze the life out of him. Oscar's pulse quickens with Lando's hips, vision starting to crowd with the storm clouds in Lando's eyes as the room fades; because Lando's suffocating him, stealing the air from his lungs as his nails press deeper, sharper, desperate to pry it out of him.
"Come find me," It's in his head, reverberating between the throbbing beats of his heart; it's like Lando didn't say anything at all, like the placed the words between Oscar's teeth as he delicately pressed their lips together. Even softer, "Find me, and I'll –"
Oscar's hotel room is pitch black, skin prickling like Lando's staring at him from every direction.
But he can't move, muscles frozen in place as he lays on his back – eyes fixed where he’d dreamed Lando to be just a moment before.

Good Omens - December reads part #2- fanfics recs 🤓🩷🎄
I ´ve decided to write a short summary each month about the books i read. I need this to let go of the stories, its a nice way of saying good-bye to them and to spread the love to the authors and to you. 🩷
I only read finished stories and rarely one-shots. You will find no WIPs in here, as i really like to dive deep into the plot and i keep losing track of WIPs. Also you will only find happy or at least hopeful endings here - i couldn´t handle anything else.
Also i try to find every author here on tumblr to link-to, but sadly some times i am out of luck. If you happen to know them, please tell them, write to me in the comments or DM me and i will update the post!

Multichapter Fanfics
Devour (E) by @tastymoves
Human AU. Ok, look here. I started with That´s what happens when you sign on the line - thinking it is a completed fic of 4 chapters. Turns out it actually stops kind of midst-story, because its a whole series. So i had to keep going through and read all the other (10!) fics to get the whole series, right? Crowley is in search of a professional dom and Aziraphale is not whom he would have chosen but very much who he needs. The stories are mostly about them having sessions in one or another way, their relational development is only a background-telling. Consists of 10 fics with timeline and another 10 oneshots with no clear timeline. Smut:Plot-Ratio = 90:10!
The Angel´s Gambit (T) by @dragonfire42
Crowley questions his angel, why he has a chessgame put up in his shop. So Aziraphale tells him, that he plays chess with Death. And why. A tale through their shared history. And an explanation, just to why Crowley slept as much as he did.
Artwork by @theeinkibus
Tumblr media
Artist in residence (E) by @caedmonfaith
Human AU. Crowley is a famous glasblower and has a 1 year residency at the Ineffable Museum. Aziraphale is a shy preservationist with a secret crush on Crowley. They meet and the rest is ineffable. Besides the typical plot there is a great part dedicated to dealing with anxiety and neurodiversity. This was very informative for me and i will have to take a deeper dive on ND too.
Most funny quote: "Pardon me, sir, but I think you might have lost your halo." 😇😅
Seriously, @caedmonfaith is an incredible writer, everything they put out there is just a safe read. Go ahead and if you like her work just hit the subscribe-button to be on the safe side.
Beyond Understanding and Incapable of Being Put Into Words (E) by @beet-feet
After the end of S2, Crowley stays in the bookshop - more or less just to keep him occupied. When Aziraphale shows up months later, they talk - but not only. And it has consequences ... A little bit of angst, a little bit of smut and a little bit of plot - nicely put together. Mind the tags!
Most funny quote: "Someone help me, there are two of them, he thought to himself as he stood in the doorway to the kitchen shaking his head." 😅
Call me, my Dear (E) by @MimiRay
AU, though not only human. Aziraphale is a priest in a small town. One dark night on his way home he stumbles upon a starved and frozen creature and takes it in. Unbeknownst to him, Crowley is an incubus - a demon that feeds on sex. At least usually. But the priest has a secret on his own, too. As the walls are quite thin, it doesn´t take Crowley long to detect it.
A soft and hot and somehow still tender story.
Most touching quote: "Immortal or not, he was, after all, a human at heart." 🩷
Drive me to the moon (E) by @captainblou
Human AU, Crowley is a rally driver and Aziraphale is a professional dancer. For a charity event they get to drive a rally together. Wouldn´t be any problem, if they would like each other. Which they don´t. Enemies to friends to lovers-story you really can dive in to. 🤓 What i really liked about it: Crowley has a vulv🩷 but wears a binder and goes by he/him. Gave me a lot to think.
Caramel delight (E) by @ajconstantine
Human AU. Crowley is happy, when his shitty neighbours finally move. He is even more happy, when he sees his new neighbour moving in. It is only polite to welcome him with a glass of homemade caramel sauce, right? Or to show him the best restaurants nearby or how to cook the sauce himself. Lucky for him, Aziraphale has an other strength than cooking ... 😅
I just tumbled upon this author but will definitely read more of her/him/them!
Oneshots
All i need, darling, is a life in your shape (G) by @mortuarybees
Set after S1, the angel and the demon find themselves spending more an more time together. But what does it mean? Aziraphale wonders.
A nice and possibly acurate story about them getting together. Christmas and only-one-bed-trope included! 🎄😅
Remember us just like this forever (E) by @HazelSage
A while after they saved the world, the demon wants a baby. Aziraphale books a holiday at a beautiful resort for them. Sun, Sand and S🍆. More tender than expected!
So that´s the next 9 fanfics and makes 22 so far this month. I don´t like it when the list gets too long, therefore i will post a part #3.
My lovely co-readers, GO-lovers and ineffable loves - have a wonderfull christmas-time! Keep your hearts and minds safe🎄🩷🤗

ohemgee that Krypton Clark arriving to an established Justice League AU is perfection!
I imagine he tries to wear down Bruce in his courtship by stepping up a little because surely if The Bat were to consider him then the man needs reassurance Clark will always be present and there for him, like he once overheard ((from miles away on the farm of course, because his soon-to-be mate was hiding , what a shy, lovely creature he is!)) Bruce offhandedly mention some space meteorite and potential dangers so Clark is thinking I am going to show him I am willing to protect him and our this planet by destroying it and bringing him a piece to prove my loyalty and commitment! And when he lends a hand to the league in the watchtower or out in the city, he will slowly come up to Batman and always pick up where left off My dear this game of tag of yours is very endearing, I almost didn't catch you! More proof of how you are such a trained and skilled fighter. Together we make a good team and I can see us being most agreeable pair of mates... and Bruce is a mess. He may even rope Hal into the convo for an out because he's so flustered. What if it results in him doing a amongus/Clint Barton move and vents his way out and leading to the Zeta-tube. I've strayed off but the hold this has on me is immense.
What I love about this is that neither of them can flirt like normal people. Lois desperately tries to show Clark earth appropriate dating customs and he's just confused. " But that's so slow and inefficient. And so needlessly complicated. Besides, Bruce likes when I bring him rocks."
"Yeah, rocks! Not the freezing corpses of alien enemies!"
Clark is currently holding a lifeless body of an alien who planned to abduct the bat. Its just easier and cleaner if Bruce doesn't know. Poor darling already has so much stress. " This one's still warm."
Also; I couldn't agree more with Kryptonians being more alien like. Bruce usually has little problems with harsh rejection, but if it's Clark...He simply asks Hal to drop an arm over his shoulder.
"Can I squeeze a boob? I just feel like it'll be more realistic if I squeeze a boob. "
" No."
Oliver side eyes, " You're a grown man. Call them milkies."
Clark comes in, solar sweep smile radiating, except there's nothing friendly about the way his fangs glare. He pulls Bruce in, and his face just...Does a thing. There's tentacles and screeching involved and Hal is frozen in place.
Clark is back to normal in less than a minute.
" Please don't do that! If Bruce chooses you as the better mate, that's fine, but you can't interrupt my ritual. It's rude!" And then he happily flies away with a curious and blushing Bruce.
"... You ok, Jordan?"
" Ring; dipers."

You and safalin taking care of a lost kanna
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing:tia safalin x male reader
A/n:This idea came to me after realizing how similar saf and kanna are, and I also just really love kanna and need her to be happy with all her family
Non death game au
Tumblr media
"Did we buy everything we needed?"
"Yeah I'm pretty sure, I-i checked everything off the shopping list"
"Sounds great I think we can go get something nice as a reward"
"A....reward for what?"
"......buying groceries?....that's a pretty hard job"
Safalin sighed but giggled immediately after
"OK.....can we get ice cream?"
"That's the exact same thing I was thinking, there frozen treats section should be around here"
"Sounds great"
You and your wife continued walking hand in hand throughout the large shopping mall, stopping to get the ice cream and put it in one of the shopping bags. You started making your way out until you both stopped because of a sound you heard, a child crying
"D-do you hear that?"
"Yeah it sounds like it's coming from.....that kid"
Safalin looked where you were pointing and saw a green haired kid crouched in a fetal position......with a bucket on her head
"That poor girl, she looks so scared......I-i'm gonna try and comfort her ok?"
"Of course, me too"
You two approached the little girl. as her sobbing got louder your worries for her increased even more
"H-hey w-why are you crying?"
The bucket girl raised her head and revealed her green eyes full of tears, her face turned a shade of blue as she tried her best to step back.....which failed since she had her back to the wall, she was obviously still scared
"C-calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you.....w-what's your name?"
"B-big sister told kanna to never talk with strangers......k-kanna will never tell you her name"
".........y-you just did"
"...w-what?.......o-oh no....p-please don't kidnap me.....i-i'm an awful kidnapping victim"
The girl now known as kanna started crying even more as safalin tried her best to comfort her
"N-no I don't want to kidnap you......p-please stop crying"
You saw tia start to cry as well, and you decided to step in, grabbing one of the wrapped ice cream from your bag and approaching the girl with it in hand and a wide smile on your face
"Do you want one of these?"
You saw kanna's eyes sparkle as she practically started drooling simply seeing the packaging
"It's mint chocolate, my wife's favorite, hope you like it too"
"B-but big sister told kanna to not take anything from strangers"
"Did she? She sounds like an amazing big sister"
"S-she is the best big sister in the world, she and my big brother always buy me ice cream like that"
"It seems like you have a great family, kanna. Do you happen to know where they are?"
Kanna's expression turned sad again as she sniffled
"K-kanna lost them"
"Really? That sounds awful, how did that happen"
"Kanna was walking with them when she saw the ice cream section.......s-she went there because she really wanted the ice cream.....b-but then she looked back and....and"
She started sobbing even louder as you pet her hair to help her calm down (trying your best to avoid the bucket)
"Big brother and *sniffle* big sister were gone"
"That's terrible, do you want us to help you find them?"
"Y-you'd help kanna?"
"Of course, if you're lost, then I need to help you find your siblings. You can even get this ice cream"
You unwrapped the ice cream and held it out to her. She immediately took it and took a bite, now smiling
"T-thank you sir, you're so kind, kanna is sorry for calling you a kidnapper before"
"It's totally fine, it's actually a really great thing, your sister thought you well"
"Yeah, she teaches me lots of things"
"Well, we have to find her fast then. They should still be around here, probably searching for you"
"B-but what if they left kanna here all alone"
"No way, you said they were the best siblings in the world right?"
"Y-yeah"
"Then they'd never leave you alone"
"Yeah they wouldn't"
"That's the spirit, let's go search for them now"
Kanna smiled at you as you high fived her small hand
"How about you jump on my shoulders, you can tell me if you see your siblings"
She nodded and did as you said, continuing to eat her ice cream on your shoulders, you approached safalin, who was surprised at how you managed to calm her down
"Come on honey, let's go and find kanna's siblings"
"Y-yeah"
While you continued walking throughout the mall, you and safalin decided to do some small talk with kanna to pass the time
"So what's your name?"
"Kanna's name is kanna kizuchi and she's in middle school"
"That's great I bet you're amazing at school"
"N-not really, big brother helps me a lot with studying, he's really smart"
"Speaking of, what do your siblings look like? If you describe them then it will be easier to find them"
"Hm, big sister is really tall, she has black hair and.....bolts in her head"
"......b-bolts?"
"Yeah bolts!"
".........ok.......anyway, what about your big brother?"
"He's shorter than big sister, has blue hair, and always wears a beanie and a long scarf"
"They seem very unique, I'm sure we'll find them......right.....now"
"Hm kanna are your siblings....those two by any chance?"
You pointed at two people who matched kanna's descriptions who were arguing about something you couldn't hear
"Yes!yes! Those are big sister and big brother"
You walked over to kanna's siblings as their conversation started to become clearer
"I told you we should have put a tracker on her?"
"You seriously think mom and dad are letting you put a tracker on her!?"
"Well look what happened now! We lost her!"
"C-calm down shin, we didn't lose her she just walked off"
"That's the same thing!"
"Excuse me?"
The two people turned to look at you, and their expressions changed completely when they saw kanna, who in the meantime had gotten off your shoulders
"Kanna!"
The sister immediately went to hug her while the brother just sighed in relief
"Thank God you're ok! Me and Shin were so worried about you"
"Don't worry, kanna is OK, these two kind people helped her find you"
The girl broke the hug with her sister and stood up offering you a wide smile
"Really? Thank you so much, you have no idea how much I appreciate that"
"It's nothing, we just did what anyone would"
"Y-Yeah, your sister was very well behaved"
"Thank you, truly, kanna is the most important thing in our lives, I'm genuinely so thankful"
When the girl saw that her brother wasn't saying anything she nudged him with her elbow
"Right shin?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever.......I'm just really glad she's safe.......thank you"
You smiled at the both of them as they thanked you once again and turned to hold kanna by her hands, mentioning something about getting ice cream if she didn't tell her parents what happened
"Well, that was eventful, but I'm glad we helped her. That family seems really close"
"Y-yes"
"......hey saf, I was wondering, didn't kanna seem like you?"
"W-what do you mean?"
"She has green hair and eyes, cries a lot and likes ice cream"
".....n-now that you mention it"
"I was thinking that........"
You started blushing a bit
"Maybe, if we ever had a child.....they'd kinda look like her"
But your blush was still no match for safalin's who became completely red
"E-eh!? I-i guess.....kinda......maybe.....y-you were really good with her"
".....y-you mean?"
"Yeah, I think you'd make a great dad"
"Thanks, and you'd make a great mom"
"O-oh don't say that, I was terrible with kanna, I'd be an awful mom"
"No, I'm sure you would be great, you're kind, sweet and empathetic, those are all great things for a mom"
"T-thank you so much......I guess, I would like to start a family like that.....with you....in the future.....if you want to"
You laughed a bit, but patted safalin's hair and held her hand, kissing her cheek in the process
"I'd love nothing more, my love"

Betrayed Friendship
Lee Jooyeon Summary: Jooyeon was more than happy with your two’s relationship. That was until he found out his best friend, Jiseok, had feelings for you too. (non-idol au) WC:~1.1k Warning: angsty?

“Gunil you’re supposed to be one of the responsible ones in our friend group, yet right now you can’t even stand up straight!” Jungsu complained as a very intoxicated Gunil was basically leaning all his weight into Jungsu’s side.
“Jungsu, do you think our friendship is as strong as our little nuggets, Jiseok and Jooyeon’s?” Gunil drunkenly rambled.
“Why are you talking about our friendship? Are you going to admit you’re actually jealous of us?” Jooyeon said playfully.
“I’m not jealous, but I do greatly admire it. I mean the fact that you two are still best bros despite Jiseok being in love with y/n. Jungsu is my number one, but if I ever found out he was in love with my girl, our friendship would definitely be strained.” Gunil patted Jungsu on the chest.
The color in Jiseok’s face drains. He knew Gunil could blab while drunk, but he never thought that he would reveal his darkest secret. Meanwhile Jooyeon froze in his place. It felt like his brain was racing with thoughts, yet also empty at the exact same time.
“What did you just say?” Jooyeon questioned, still frozen in his place.
“That Jungsu is my number one,” Gunil said as he made a bit of an effort to stand up on his own.
“No after that-”
“He’s drunk,” Jiseok cut in. “Dude is just talking nonsense, you know how he is. Right Jungsu?” Jiseok’s eyes were desperate for Jungsu to help him. Jungsu being the very sympathetic man that he is, tried to help.
“Yeah, you know how Gunil loves to tell his stories, even though they’re not always true.”
“I have never told a story that is not true!” Gunil proclaimed lifting up a single finger. “One night I came home to mine and Jungsu’s shared apartment only to find poor Jiseok crying in Jungsu’s arms. He was so upset and didn’t know what to do because he was in love with y/n and felt like he was betraying your friendship,” Gunil dramatically, drunkenly, told.
“Jiseok.” Jooyeon seriously turned in Jiseok’s direction.
“He’s just really drunk and out of it I swear. I don’t like y/n,” Jiseok denied. Jooyeon can tell by the panicked look in his eyes and the way he’s fiddling with his belt loop, a habit Jooyeon noticed that Jiseok does when he’s nervous, that Jiseok is lying.
“Jungsu?” Jooyeon turned to look at Jungsu, trusting him to be honest. Jungsu’s eyes shift between Jiseok and Jooyeon. Jiseok’s eyes begging him to not tell Jooyeon and Jooyeon’s eyes begging for the truth.
“We should Gunil home before he pukes,” Jungsu answered. He didn’t want to hurt either of them. However Jungsu’s lack of an answer is also the answer. If Jiseok really didn’t feel anything for y/n then Jungsu would have just said so. Jooyeon sighs, Jiseok feels like he wants to throw up, Jungsu’s heart feels heavy, Gunil is halfway passed out on Jungsu’s shoulder. Beginning completely oblivious to the situation he just caused.
“Yeah you should get Gunil home, but I think Jiseok and I need to talk,” Jooyeon said.
“Jooyeon, it's really not that serious,” Jiseok stated. He wanted nothing more than to be out of this situation.
“Then we shouldn’t have any problems discussing it,” Jooyeon countered. Jiseok wants to continue to try and deny, to try and escape his impending doom, but he knows it’s no use. Now that Jooyeon knows his guilty secret they’re going to have to talk it out. Jiseok sighs and hangs his head low.
“Ok, let’s talk,” Jiseok disheartenedly agreed. Jooyeon and Jiseok say their semi-awkward goodbyes to Jungsu and Gunil. Watching as Jungsu drags a Gunil on their way. The tension rises very quickly between the two. The air around them almost feels too thick to breathe.
“How long?” Jooyeon finally spoke after what felt like forever. Jiseok takes a deep breath, and takes a seat on the side of the curb.
“...Since before you two even got together,” Jiseok revealed. Jooyeon's eyes almost bulge out his head.
“How could you not tell me?” Jooyeon sounded very hurt. “We’re best friends,” Jooyeon states as he sits down beside Jiseok, with a bit more space between them than normal.
“That’s why I couldn’t tell you. It was so clear from the first time that their name came out of your mouth that you were head over heels for them. How was I supposed to tell you that....” Jiseok trails off, his throat becoming tight. “That I…shared the same feelings for them that you did?”
“If you had told me I wouldn’t have gotten with them,” Jooyeon says.
“I know and that’s why I didn’t tell you. Y/n makes you the happiest I’ve ever seen you. I couldn’t take that away from you because of my own stupid feelings,” Jiseok argued.
“They’re not stupid feelings!” Jooyeon quickly declared.
“They are. They are stupid. Because I’ve them I’ve put our whole friendship at risk!” Jiseok raised his voice.
“Our friendship is not at risk. I wouldn’t let our friendship end over a girl Jiseok,” Jooyeon tried to soothe.
“But I’ve betrayed you,” Jiseok chokes.
“No, you haven’t,” Jooyeon said.
“Yes, I have,” Jiseok insisted. “Because if I was really your best friend I shouldn’t be thinking about being with her. I shouldn’t be imaging myself in your place when I see you two together. I shouldn’t have the twisted thought that if she ever kissed me, not that she ever would, but if it happened I don’t think I would push her away, not right away at least. I can’t say that my heart doesn’t feel a jab anytime I see you with her either, so are you really still going to say I haven’t betrayed our friendship? I’m in love with your girlfriend Jooyeon,” Jiseok’s eyes are glossed over as he tries his very best to keep himself composed. As Jiseok speaks the last sentence it feels like the gravity of the situation plows into Jooyeon. However he still doesn’t feel betrayed by Jiseok. He’s mad that he never told him about how he felt, yes, but more so he feels a sense of pain for much Jiseok had to have been hurting all this time.
“But I’ve failed to notice how hurt you’ve been all this time, so I’d day I’ve betrayed our friendship too.” Jooyeon’s eyes are glossed over too.
“What do we do now?” Jiseok asked.
“I don’t know,” Jooyeon replied honestly. “But I meant what I said. I won’t let our friendship end over a girl.” Jiseok and Jooyeon remain sitting on the curb of the sidewalk, letting the night pass them by. Neither of them know what to do next, they can only let the strength of their friendship guide them.

A/N: Sorry that this isn't really y/n centric at all. I just wanted to try something new.

Note
Ok so let’s pretend this is a world where they have phones how would the RO’s react to “accidentally” being sent a nude. Up to you if it was actually an accident or not
L Rawlins- Poor Modern AU L. Fully cracks their phone. Either from dropping it or tightening their grip until the screen splinters. Will come over and tell you off, still wearing the reading glasses they needed on. Does sit down later and dare another peek. Does delete them promptly though.
S Della Rovere- YES. Shall lavish you with praise! Look at you! Will usually just send back an artful nude from a discreet folder, with wonderful lighting and a teasing pose. Also would love to take nudes together! Either to surprise send to each other or maybe to a potential threesome third.
Z Chambers- They make a tiny noise. Quickly exits out. Goes back and saves it. Exits out. Fully just calls you, "Are you alone?". It's just a pay back, telling you what to do with your fingers for the fact they nearly dropped their phone.
V De Winters- Poker face. Glances at phone. Side smile. "Must I beg for another or should I send you a present?" Will send one in return if begged for. Does save them to a folder and puts their phone away, happy to show you their appreciation in person.
Seir- Grins. Will immediately come over, slipping in in their animal form, sprouting up into their human form. "Now, was that because you were bored and wanted attention or because you required something from me?"
Saleos- Saves it to a folder marked "Pet Pictures". Does send you compliments, about your figure, how ready you seem for their attention. Also sends one back, just in jewels and a robe, red to compliment them.
Starling Knight- Picks up their phone. Blinks. "If you want something from me, you're going to have to use words. Otherwise, allow me to say... You are deeply stunning." Smiles a little bit and waits for your reply.
A Lancaster- Smirks to themself. Saves it, slips away to take a picture of themselves (they don't have any saved, they grew up with phone inspections) and sends it off to show how much they appreciate the gift. They WILL keep this up if you keep sending nudes.
E Rawlins- Brother why. Doesn't know if to die cum or run to you and fuck you on the nearest surface. Wants to start barking, dear lord. Has no words, just wants to sniff you out and show you exactly how much they enjoyed your picture.
Quincy Beaumont- Smiles, coos a little bit. Saves the picture to their collection. Sends back their own very tasteful boudoir photo. "Come see me soon, my darling. How I waste away with just a taste of what you offer and none of the realities."
D Woolf- Great. Dropped. Phone? Dropped. Into a puddle. Screen cracked. Water under the screen protector. Frozen like a tiny rabbit in headlights. Rescues their phone. "You'r so prty so so amazing i thInk yore the most prfct creature i lov ou sorr abut te spelngs i dropd my phne help"
