People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.

They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them

Following an accident, Danny wakes up in Gotham City in a DC universe. Lacking any forms of ID or possessions beyond the clothes on his back, he’s forced to commit some crimes to survive. Minor crimes, but still.

And then he gets caught.

During the court proceedings, they come to the mistaken conclusion that he’s a Meta suffering from some psychiatric issues such as Cotard’s Syndrome (a real rare condition where a person holds the delusional belief that they’re dead/don’t exist/etc).

Thus, between his “need for mental treatment” and the concerns about housing someone with his unique physical traits, he is sentenced to spend time in Arkham Asylum. He’s under pretty low security aside from the anti-Meta stuff and has more freedoms than some other inmates, but it’s still not a great experience. Even at the best of times, Arkham is hardly a nice place.

Some of his fellow residents are decently chill all things considered, but lots very much aren’t.

Isn’t water amazing??? You can get in there! Get in there with your whole body! You can float on top of it if your lungs are full of air or you can sink if your lungs are empty! And when you’re floating inside you can look around and the light refracts in different ways and you can see it dance on the surface, everything dances, really, the surface of the water moves and the light on the bottom moves and the shadows move! And it changes colour when you go deeper! Oh, that’s one of my favourite parts. When I go diving in the local lake I like to dive down and then float to the top and watch the surface colour change or the colour of the water change overall — it goes from a dark brown to brown to green to blueish green to light blue and then you’re on the surface again! I wish I floated to the top slower so I could really take it in. And it’s fun to dive down too and see the bottom slowly clear up. You get to go real close and personal with the mussels on the bottom and if you make the flow of the water change with a flick of your hand you can watch them close their shell tightly! It’s always so cool to see a real big mussel that’s deep on the bottom with algae growing on its shell, where the water feels cold to the touch. How cool is it that the water has different layers based on warmth!!???? Water truly has the coolest properties! I kind of get scared when I dive too deep but imagine being like a fish and diving super deep down that layer…. I wish I could enjoy the joys of the ocean with the same intimacy as freshwater! I’m not really even sure if it’s the. same? Although no doubt the light refracts in the most beautiful of ways in the ocean as well — and it’s all blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
