Gonna say it again, "Just stop consuming the genre" is THE WORST POSSIBLE RESPONSE to someone complaining about the lack of representation in their preferred genre!! And "Consume other stuff too" is not much better!!! I don't care how much you think varying media consumption is a Good and Holy lifestyle, not everyone wants to do that! There is no obligation to do that and there should not be! Because it's fucking entertainment. It's not a college major.
And! And and and. I would be remiss to not point out that when you tell someone, "If you want well written (minority) just get out of (genre fandom)" you are, regardless of your motivations, rhetorically aligning yourself with the exact same bigots who just want the pro-representation crowd to shut up and go away.

I like to think that none of the Vinsmoke brothers know where babies come from. Not because it's funny, even though it is, but because the idea of Judge teaching them about that is disturbing on a number of levels.
Honestly, it's not even because it is disturbing. Bold of you to assume Judge would care enough to teach them these things. I think they do know but only because Judge just told one person from the staff to take care of the topic. That being said, they don't have any knowledge when it comes to sex and protection so that might be a problem. Then again, they wouldn't even care anyway so--

i havent really made myself clear but considering st production has fucked up massively in the past & will obviously continue doing so w some of their cast members being zionists, i want yall who still follow this blog to know that i dont respect the choice to keep them as cast members at all. my single ounce of faith i carry is reserved for the disenfranchised, always. i dont care about those actors who side with genocide. im ready for st to end and im glad that it is ending. its the characters that make the story, not the celebs trapped in their individual bubbles. theyre just faces in the grand scheme of things and their shitty views cant ruin a piece of media that is kinda cannibalizing itself at this point lol. my thoughts on it end with this post.

#I keep giggling looking at my friend's drawing of Shadow Milk#a stand in for pf I haven't finished yet#now I'm literally just hugging Sparkle plushie I get why people collect those#ALSO tbob is hereeee#literally sitting and lying down surrounded by chaos sillies#I don't have a type I don't but then I kind of have merch... and mostly for only them#also I need to draw Shadow Milk as some of the tbob pages or at least things from there bc they fit#sadly I don't have Flowey as pf rn (I had like 3 and all are lost by now)#Bill is hidden in another book I have and I'm not taking him out#but yay#this marks my Gravity Falls collection basically fully complete as it is with the only thing missing being the retellings of the show#and the coloring book is.... somewhere idk where but SOMEWHERE I sure had it#for the first merch I really really wanted GF is most satisfying to collect#I don't count MLP though! I didn't have nearly as many things for mlp I did have a lot of them but not too much#GF on the other hand was in my life in every period of my life somehow#like if me from 2017 saw just what I have rn they would've been sooo jealous but extremely happy#bc that same teen got Journal 3 as a gift and immediately read it because I had literally no spoilers for it#and even though I've read EVERY spoiler possible for tbob last July-August holding it in my hands is an experience#like some of the things just WORK better when you have the book itself instead of just a photo or something#it's also better since it's well in your hands as a book instead of just scrolling in the internet or something#it's also the most Bill had continuing “screen time” in any GF media if we don't include the AMA the AMA was somewhat similar#again if teen me would've been jealous kid me would've probably screamed that this thing exists#I have never been normal about this particular show despite never posting about it as a kid#since well. I was a kid I wanted to keep to myself and enjoy in peace since I was still a pre-teen or teen#and also this specific book and the fixation it started saved my second summer camp fun#anyway plush Sparkle is the softest I missed the feel of getting new plushies

hello i just wrote a poem and for some reason it feels important
#important to me#idk#it's about things that i've been afraid of#i just have the first stanza so far#on my fear in grade school that i would get pregnant from having feelings for people#legitimately#it was a very deep shame that i felt on the daily and felt so strongly that i needed to hide#i would stand in front of the mirror and check my stomach#scared that any weight i was gaining would mean that i was pregnant#it did not btw#and you know sometimes i think about that#how that was such a big fear and shame for me#how i genuinely. genuinely thought. that i was at risk of getting pregnant#just because i wanted to like. hold hand with some guy at math team practice#i think a lot about how i never actually received a sex education- from school or from my parents#how i grew up hearing the virtues of the virgin mary- not connecting until my mid-teens what virgin really meant#i think about what i had to learn from the internet of all places#and what i still don't know#about how isolated i feel when it comes to romance and sexuality#because i never had an outlet to understand or express potential interests or desires#anyway putting some of that into text just feels like a moment for me i guess#boink#poetry
