Kickin It AU + Evie sketch

So if you’ve been following me on tumblr you know I have an in depth Descendents AU and a MBAV AU that I love… And I just rewatched a fav show of mine and instantly had a new AU crafted from thin air AGAIN! Third time this year bro…

A Kickin it AU…. Yeah I went crazy with this one. I literally dug up the most obscure one off characters to make this new AU. I’m so sad that this fandom is basically dead but tumblr is the place to do bullshit for fun so I will be doing that.

The guy above is Kai Brewer and if my AU inspires you to rewatch Kickin it I’m just going to warn you that Kai is only in two episodes of four seasons. In fact the main villains of my AU are made up of one off guest stars. Just like the fandoms of olden days…

Here are some sketches I WILL be reworking of Jack Brewer and Milton Krupnick respectively:

My AU is aged up to 18 because I relate to that age group. Kickin it is a show about a friend group doin karate and that’s it. If you know about the fandom you’re probably thinking “what about the will they won’t they between Jack and Kim?? 🥺” Honestly that plot line is the same as the will they won’t they for Sam and Freddie. That is to say it’s clear that nobody except the fandom cares about that. The writers add tidbits during some episodes and backtrack to keep the fandom watching and then they break up kinda.

Honestly I just see them as freinds and I almost think of Jake as aromatic but I literally head cannon everybody that way probably because I’m projecting so I dunno fam.

As for the AU I find that the Black Dragons were underutilized as direct parreles to the Wasabi Warriors. So I seek to rectify that. The only reoccurring black dragons throughout the first three seasons are Ty the Sensei and Rudy’s past best friend and Frank. A pedophile. Yeah that bitch is 19 and he’s obsessed with 14 yr old Kim. For no reason… he didn’t have to be 19. So obviously I fixed that bullshit.

The BDs are in universe considered the more prestigious Dojo as well as the most evil. They fight dirty in every competition shown in the show which parrales the Wasabi code which is all about honesty and fairness. ( even tho half the plots are about the WWs doing the opposite of that sometimes with no consequences lmao)

Kai is Jacks cousin and the only guy who was able to beat him. That’s significant as Jack is literally the most op guy in the whole show. Bro can take out 10 grown men by himself at the age of 15 in five minutes at most. So in my AU those two are parreles to each other. Cousins who trained together and who fell out long ago over different views on what martial arts is for. Both student leaders of their Dojos while also being mirrors of their senseis relationship. Their Sensies Rudy (Jack) and Ty (Kai) which also trained together but fell out because of a fart. (Fr bro and I will not be changing that cse it’s hilarious)

The rest of the Evil team are banded together after Jack beats their asses in the cannon of the show and they all mysteriously get envites to join the Black Dragon Dojo. Brody Carlson ( played by Billy Unger) gets a major change to the og. He got redeemed cause he was a guest star from Lab Rats but in my AU he stays bad because now he’s reoccurring. Jack hands his ass to him and he’s mad. He’s a parallel to Jerry as the third best in the dojo. Carson Hunter ( played by Boo Boo Stewart ) was originally a parallel to Jack as the liar reveal plot line. He was also a special guest star like Unger. Here he’s Kim’s parrallel as second best of his Dojo and due to the fact that he was Kim’s Jack before Jack who turned out to be a cheater. The reason I made him 2nd instead of first is because Kai is way more evil then him and had a bigger impact on Jacks life. Hes the reason Jack stoped doing Martial Arts for two years. And after that he tried to kill his cousin twice just so he couldnt get a trophy. Once with gang activity actually. All Carson does is like take Jacks place in one competition and use a tiny sand bag in his hand wraps that Jack exploded instantly with a single punch. Frank Bickle is a parallel to Milton Krupnick more like a smart guy verses dumbass type thing. Frank was portrayed often in the og show so I don’t have to explain him. He’s a dumb ass bully brute who Jack manhandles every chance he gets. Arther Turner (played by Sterling Beaurmon) is a parallel to Eddy. Arther was a rich, rude, and petty guy and I think that Eddy is a pretty down to earth and sweet person. Both of them are shit at karate though and it would be brutally unfair to pit them against all the other more capable characters. Arther definitely throws money at his problems lowkey.

At first all the villain characters don’t get along together so they can’t beat the WW who have the power of friendship and Jack on their side but as they slowly become freinds they get more dangerous. Like most of these characters were black belts or on par with Jack and their position as one offs led to them being shafted for how they could challenge the Wasabi crew. Here I can write fun dynamics for them and give Jack a massive run for his money which I believe he really needed. Like bro was INVINCIBLE there are no stakes, if someone goes against Jack it doesn’t matter. If you’re young, old, or what Jack will handle your ass quickly and will not break a sweat. Like don’t cross him or your ass is DONE.

Imagining an equally powerful group with a close bond who directly oppose and parallel them is really intriguing. It’s also more down to earth then my Descendants AU. I don’t have to deal with a massive magical world with magical powers. It’s a small town called Seabrooke with some rival Dojos engaging in classic teen rivalry shenanigans. There is no massive goal here except proving who’s better by the end of senior year’s competition season.

Imma do more of this AU cause I love it and I can’t let it go.

Hudson and Rex S07E02

Got a bit too long.

There is no way those guys manage to balance episodes better when they have a multitude of issues to deal with than when they have none. Are you kidding me?

Rear Window/Home Alone episode? What crazy genius thought of that? Where was that crazy genius in all the other seasons? I’m starting to think that these writers perform better under the immense stress of having to come up with logical plot lines for explaining character absences.

Before I forget. Dear promo department, just because the episode starts with the end scene (almost end scene) doesn’t mean you get to put that scene on the promo. 

Oh, by the way, did we ever do that? Start with a major scene and go backwards? I love that I just did a rewatch, by the way.

Charlie and Sarah moved in together (and she’s already deciding what to keep for the household, watch out, Charlie), and they just… moved in. No explanation. I guess the house was on offer? Too good of an offer to pass up, so they were like, what the hell. Can this even be aired on Up Faith and Family?

Charlie working the electronics in the new house. Lord help us. The "it's very tough to hear because you're barking" to Rex was funny.

Rex was "like that" with the old house? No, he wasn't. You're lying. Also, he's been trying to find a place to sleep because THERE ARE BOXES EVERYWHERE.

We have a great word for when a house is not yet finished and still looks like a constructions site and there is no English equivalent! Ugh.

Sarah has already started throwing away Charlie's stuff!

Lochlyn Munro was on White Chicks with John Reardon. I haven't watched that movie in some time but I still have the feeling I wanted to punch both their characters there lol

After more than 100 episodes, we finally see a cat. I wasn’t sure they existed in this universe. Also, Rex's cat plushie is 100% new.

I like the throwbacks already. Even though I despise those two characters. Now I'm actually glad that I did the rewatch because while I'd remember Porter, I would definitely not remember ginger cop.

What do you mean the SJPD assigns the password purely based on someone’s name and birthday? Without any random numbers or characters??? I’m sorry but then the shitfest that inevitably followed is on the IT department. Everyone knows that most people, cops or not, will not bother to change their password. That’s why the password assigned must be RANDOM. Jesse, I’m blaming you. You’re the only IT guy in there I know.

Speaking of, what the actual hell do you mean IA found no further misconduct in Porter’s other cases? That’s impossible. Just this month while on my rewatch, I was writing that there is no way they won’t find anything, not with the way he handles cases. Did they even look?

Charlie: *attributes Rex’s barking to him smelling fertilizer, which if I recall has never happened, and almost washes away the blood off the murder weapon by accident, because he’s well versed in Rex speak* (I’m not mad. It was funny. Although I definitely called him an idiot there. Welcome back, himbo!Charlie.)

Hey, we got Charlie on his bike! On the seventh season.

I wrote a lot of things on my rewatch, most I’ve already forgotten. One thing I remember writing, was that if there are two cases that start as separate, they will magically connect at some point in the episode in almost every crime show. I feel like this show lives to prove me wrong.

Pet peeve. Jesse has his finger on the trigger the entire time during the arrest scene. It is 2025. Why did they bother to teach Justin Kelly the proper stance and didn’t bother to tell him that the index goes on the side of the frame of the firearm when they have to shove a camera on his face and arm. I'm not mad at the actor, by the way, it's not his job to know, that's technical stuff. What’s weird is that I’ve seen 100+ episodes of Hudson and Rex (102 now) and I think John Reardon has never done this? And I think that because I’d have reacted like that. In fact, I remember pointing out that he did hold it properly numerous times. So, silly me, I thought they had someone to tell them about stuff like that, at least for the main characters.

They remembered police vests! I might shed a tear.

You cannot set up a Home Alone scene and put dramatic music. Or, I guess you can, but I will still laugh. It was funny. I know that realistically, you can’t put on something like a Benny Hill music there because the entire scene will eventually lead to finding the body, but that part will be funny no matter what.

Did anyone think that something was going to happen to Charlie’s bike while on the stint? Because I did.

I’m glad that Rex turned out to be goading Arnold when he was holding the meat tenderizer and that he had already set up traps in the house because in the promo it seemed like an idiotic move. Yes, he’s a dog, but he’s a superdog and I’m used to him being smart.

The sheer amount of plush toys that Rex has... Oh. My. God. I think they moved to have more space for his plush toys, actually.

Charlie: *accusatorily* "Why is there blood on your tenderizer?" Oh my god, don’t pull out your handcuffs yet, Detective!

Thank god Rex thought to throw the paint on Arnold because it would take Charlie and Sarah another episode to figure it out, with the way they were going.

"She was gonna leave me". And... what? Now you ruined both your lives. Good job, shithead.

They're worried about the impression they made on their new neighbors? What about their old neighbors who turned up as murderer and victim?

Since when are Charlie and Sarah such proud Newfies to have a Newfoundland flag up?

Easter egg: Felipe Rodriguez's name is on the "For Sale" sign.

Yes, John Reardon’s reduced screentime is noticeable. And I’d be a liar if I didn’t admit that I missed Charlie and Rex’s partnership in this episode, especially following a Charlie/Rex focused season. But it is what it is. It’s also good to recognize it and to be a bit more appreciative of what he has offered in all these years to the show. On the other hand, we get to see more of Sarah, Joe, and Jesse. I know not everyone is tuning in for that, yes, the show is called Hudson and Rex. Well, tough. And I'd find it difficult for anyone to try to criticize how this season's episodes are structured without sounding like an asshole, for many reasons.

Promo: Per IMDb, there's an episode that doesn't credit John Reardon at all. I don't really see Charlie in this promo so it might be that one (although that's supposed to be the bees episode and I also don't see bees, there's only mention of oyster farms). And I'm not sure I even see Diesel in this promo, although I see Rex. Ah, the sadness of not being 10 years old anymore. They can't change dogs without me noticing.

As someone with OCD, I have no idea how to feel about Death the Kid. Like he is so entertaining, like I can’t look away. He’s one of my favorite characters in the series (but Crona’s better), but like the OCD rep is so questionable. Like yes, I know they never say he has OCD and there are people who are like, actually it’s because of the madness and all that, like I’m sure there’s in show lore for it if you dig deep enough, but the symptoms of his “madness” or his being the child of death or whatever you want to argue the technical cause is, it’s still portraying OCD symptoms, and I feel like that’s the conclusion a lot of people come to when watching the show. But like, Death the Kid is genuinely somewhat relatable sometimes, with him spiraling over things. I don’t really have the symmetry thing I think, but that’s still a thing that can happen to people. But the emotions he feels over it are still the same. The thing that makes me kind of mad though is every time that this is brought up it’s played for laughs. Which like I wouldn’t mind if they did that sometimes but actually took it seriously occasionally, but like it’s always played for laughs. I feel like it could have been so interesting if they started with it being played for laughs and then later on had an episode where we could actually see how messed up Kid is without it being a punchline. Whenever it does mess him up, usually by distracting him in a battle, it’s pretty much just there as a plot device because Kid is crazy powerful and they need something to balance him. What also drives me crazy is the way that the other characters react to him. Like I know they’re all kids so I’ll give them a bit of a pass, but they just laugh at him, and intentionally provoke him sometimes I think. Like Kid will be on the floor, spiraling and crying, and the other characters are just like haha here we go again. Please someone help this kid. Especially since there are adults at this school, and like none of them take him seriously either. I dunno, I feel like Death the Kid could have had some interesting development just from a character perspective too, if they took the time to develop his OCD outside of just comedic purposes. Like, there are points where he is talking about how much he hates himself for not being symmetrical, and sure the other characters are laughing, but we could have dived into that and how his OCD ties into how he feels about being Death’s son. Or I don’t know, maybe they could have had at least one person understand, and maybe that could have been Crona, because A I want to see my first and second favs interact more, and B, Crona is also extremely anxious, and maybe they could have bonded over that. (Hm, maybe I should write a fanfic about this or something, but I might have to rewatch bits of the show first, it’s been a while since I watched the full thing). In conclusion, Death the Kid’s is entertaining, but also I feel personally attacked. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

*banging pots and pans together* I FINISHED ANOTHER SEASON OF THE X-FILES!!! GATHER ‘ROUND FOR MY HOT TAKES!!!

Spoilers, as usual. It’s all below the cut.

The End

I’m not even sure what to think. This finale felt like a regular ass X-File until the last minute on screen. No one was dying of an incurable disease or being drugged within an inch of their life. No one even faked their death! Though we did have another delightful moment of Mulder physically attacking his colleagues in the halls of the Hoover Building, plus another reassignment! Classic finale stuff.

I’m honestly still processing the image of Mulder’s office gone up in smoke. That’s one of the few spoilers I’ve managed to avoid. I can never keep track of whose side Mr. Morley is on, but damn. Damn.

Backtracking tho: MSR goes crazy this ep, but on the down low. He is thinking about ONE of the ladies. ONE of the ladies is thinking about him. Scully doesn’t care what anyone thinks except Diana — not even what Mulder thinks. What a fucking interesting distinction, right? Alexa! Alexa, play ‘Girl Crush’ by Little Big Town!

Not to mention the way she goes back to his place after everything that happens — the fanfic of it all, going home with him to make sure he takes a nap on his couch and doesn’t jump the tracks. She’s confused and tired and probably angry, and she loves him so much despite it all. Agh. AGH.

Anyway if anything bad happens to the kid I quit the show. Earlier in the series, I was tired of bad things happening to women (still am) but now I am tired of bad things happening to kids. Scully is, too, damn it.

The verdict: This is good. This is solid. It’s not the same levels of drama we are used to from a finale, but it’s enough of a paradigm shift to make you wonder what’s next. And maybe it would feel old-hat (the X-Files are shut down again, what else is new?) if we didn’t see Mulder’s life’s work go up in literal flames.

Season 5

This season, y’all. This season! It has EVERYTHING. It’s got needle drops and fun dances and unreliable narrators and fun and humor, but it also has FUCKING EMILY!!! Redux and Emily are within TEN EPISODES of each other. Are you kidding me? It has Catholicism! It has Scully to the rescue!

Pros: Lots of Scully!

Cons: Lots of Scully being sad.

Yeah, season 5 may be a new favorite. It has its clunkers for sure, but it also has some all-time best episodes. It’s literally watering the seeds of doubt, showing us that absolutely nothing and no one is trustworthy — I’m so mad that we never talk about “trust no one” anymore — that the truth may well be out there, but that we wouldn’t fucking know it if we found it, right now. Mulder is more skeptical than Scully ALL FUCKING SEASON! She may not be ready to write it in a field report, but you cannot seriously tell me she doesn’t believe something. She believes enough to know that something is wrong with Chinga. She believes enough to shoot the shadow in Mulder’s hospital room. She believes enough to set the nephilim free. To protect Gibson. Meanwhile, Mulder is kind of done taking people at their word. He needs evidence. He needs to see to believe. These two have changed each other so much in 5 years!

I just love it. I just do.

I’m making a Tier List this time. And heaven help me, it is not particularly balanced.

It’s also worth noting that this ranking might change over time. I tried to account for both quality of the ep and my own personal feelings about it — which aren’t always the same thing. For example, I’ll rewatch Unusual Suspects long before either of the Reduxes.

Ok, so I’m on a rewatch and one random pet peeve I have is the British characters saying “fries” instead of “chips” lmao.

Like I know it’s probably written for an American audience but with a mostly British cast you’d think someone would tell the writers. “Fries/chips” is one of the most well known vernacular differences between the US/UK and it just takes me out of it.

Dudeeee this drives me CRAZY!! It's like after the first few episodes of S1 they decided they'd done enough to establish that "Things Are Weird in England According to Nina" and then never emphasized any differences ever again, even going so far as to Americanize tf out of the school and the slang to the point it's actually offensive to the American youth's intelligence.

Like, WHY did they talk about money in $$$ instead of £££ ?!?!?!?! Why did they talk about college instead of university?? They talked about their grades the way Americans do ("I got an A!" instead of "I got full marks!") !!!!

There's SO many more examples, we could be here all day, but this has ALWAYS made me mad. Did they really think the American public were so brain-dead we wouldn't understand what they were talking about??

I only just joined this fandom about two months ago, but in that time I’ve rewatched the show about 10 times and now I’m reading the books. It’s basically consumed my life.

Anyway, I don’t really have a question, but I’m rewatching season 1 (again!) and it’s gotten me thinking so much about Louis & his sexuality & what his family knows about his sexuality/his relationship with Lestat/his vampirism.

I got the impression that his family knows he’s gay (or at the very least, strongly suspects) but it’s one of those things that they just never talk about and pretend isn’t true (this makes sense given the time period and the fact that they’re religious). But in episode 1, Grace says she heard Louis had been hanging out with Lestat. And in episode 2, Florence says “you live half a mile away” …implying that she knows he’s living with Lestat? And then later (and by this time in the timeline it’s 1917), Grace asks Louis “are you still with Lestat” and Louis says “you know my situation” —What does that mean???? There are also little things that hint that they know there’s clearly something different about him, but they don’t necessarily know he’s a vampire.

But I’m just thinking how crazy it is because from his family’s perspective, like, they’ve probably always known he was gay, but they never said anything and he never said anything and then all of a sudden he just starts living openly with another man and they hardly ever see him anymore…

I know they made Louis’ family much bigger characters in the show than they are in the books and the show has kind of moved on from it being about Louis holding on to his humanity but there are still so many unanswered questions about his human family and what they did and didn’t know…maybe I just need to find some fan fiction that explores this, if there is any.

Anyway, so sorry for this long rambly message and I didn’t even actually have a question. Like I said, I just got into this fandom and I discovered this show during a really difficult period in my life and it’s the first thing that’s really made me feel joy in a long time so I guess I’m just a bit over-excited.

I do think Louis' family definitely knew, but it just wasn't talked about, and his mother had more prejudice about it than Grace had, which is also something quite common no... particular shade here (to put it that way).

They knew and Grace especially was very happy for him, she just became resentful when the baby incident happened, which I can understand.

I agree that from their perspective the sudden change must have been quite something to behold :), but then Louis was only coming home sometimes even before as Grace pointed out. I think Louis spent a lot of times in the businesses, his own and the other brothel owners'. And that was something that both his mother and Grace more or less closed their eyes to.

But yeah, the money shielded Louis and Lestat for all those decades at Rue Royale. Because everybody must have known. They were in the middle of the city after all :), and some events were rather difficult to miss :)))

I am sorry, but I cannot really help you with the exploration of his family ties there wrt fanfiction - maybe someone who reads this can recommend some :)

Happy Saturday everyone :) The next stop in our S1 rewatch is episode 12.

1x12 Heartbreak

Oooh man is the name accurate on this one. The final chapter in the Tim/Isabel saga for s1 and it’s a doozy. Stab right to the heart emotionally. We had a Lucy forward ep earlier with the Capt. This is our Tim centered one. A very important one at that. I’m excited to delve into this one. This review will mainly focus on him. Love me some Tim Bradford.

Right off the bat this man is killing me. He seems so damn hopeful when he arrives. Hesitant still but a hopeful look in his eyes. Telling Isabel she looks like herself again. He seems so thrilled she actually went through with rehab. To see her look like his wife. Something I'm sure he was worried he would never see again. Its written all over his face. Eric CRUSHES this ep. Always in awe of his performance. He's a treasure.

Isabel tells him she wanted to leave every day, but something made her stay. Tim asks what? She tells him she wanted to make sure Tim got to see her sober. *heart clutch* Then we get to see that gorgeous smile of his. He makes a joke saying his job here is done and pretends to leave. Isabel laughs at him being a goober. This the least stressed/broken he’s looked around her the entire season. It’s wonderful to witness after all the hurt.

Isabel starts off by trying to make amends with Tim. Because of all the people in her life she cut him the deepest. She wants to be honest with him so he can start to trust her again someday. Classic S1 Tim just wants to put it in a box and never open that box ever again. The opposite of what Isabel is trying to achieve. Just wants it to be black and white. That Isabel only did the things she did cause she was an addict. Poor Tim is denying the fact that it’s so much deeper than that. He’s dreading/avoiding the outcome of it not being neatly tied up.

What that’ll mean for them and their marriage. Saying addicts have it hard wired in their DNA to lie, steal and cheat. That he knows she couldn't have helped all that. The way he lays it out for her makes it sound like he can never trust her again. Isabel addresses this right away.

She stops Tim tells him she’ll always be an addict. Tim once again is trying to put it into a box he can comprehend. Which is it wasn’t Isabel that hurt him it was the drugs. To him now that she’s clean she won’t do that again. You can see how her replies are in massive conflict with his. He doesn't want to re-live it all again where she is trying to do so in order to heal. Tim just wants to put to behind him and forget. Where as she wants to confront it and have him face what she did to him. Driving her crazy that he wont do so.

She is wanting atonement for her sins and he’s saying it wasn’t her. Oh Tim. He loves her so much he refuses to let her fault herself for what she did. Much easier for him to have something to blame it on. She gets mad and tells him his black and white outlook is maddening. Where as to Tim he sees comfort in his logic, his ability to just strip something down and put it away. You can see how its frustrating her. His avoidance is because he knows if he faces this what the outcome will be...Its why he's trying to downplay this whole visit.

Kills me the way she tells him she couldn’t live up to his standards. That she only felt like she failed him. This I feel was more on Isabel than it ever was on Tim IMO. If she had just told him he could’ve listened to her. Worked on it together. Tim couldn't fix what he didn't know about. He loved her so much he would’ve done anything for her. All she had to do was communicate how she was feeling. Instead she let it fester and become such a problem that she turned to drugs for a release. That to me seemed to be the root of her addiction. In her mind she couldn’t live up so she had to numb herself. Find a escape from that constant feeling of failure.

What sucks is while she is unburdening her soul she’s adding to Tim's. The look on his face above shows me he had no idea she thought this. Not a damn clue. By off loading her demons she's given him an insecurity. One about himself that he will carry for years to come. It rears its ugly head in 5x21 with Lucy. (Where she shuts it down. Refuses to let him live in those fears and makes him confront them. Forces that communication he never had with Isabel. Or with anyone before her really. More proof why she’s his person ❤️) But that is MUCH further down the road . What this shows though is what an impact Isabel's words had on him even years later. It just laid dormant. Like an emotional time bomb.

Isabel is telling him it’s ok to be mad at her. That he’s supposed to be. This is the way it works. Except he can’t....Tim is having this internal battle. Fighting against his loyal nature about being mad. I relate to this so very much. I too am a deeply loyal person. When you’re as loyal as Tim is it’s so hard to see fault in those you love. Almost like you’re betraying them by doing so. He’s struggling so hard with the idea that she hurt him and it wasn’t all the drugs.

He’s so tired from this whole ordeal. Even though he should be angry all he wants is his wife back. That has to be the saddest part of this whole situation. It’s why he’s dismissing everything. He thinks if he does he will get his life with her back. He wants to erase the past year and a half. To just have it go back to the way it was before. As they near end the of their convo the tragic look in his eyes destroys me. He knows it’s over. Tim's hope for recovery/reconciliation is gone.

His body is defeated and he’s started to retreat emotionally. Tim tells her as his final piece, how everyone told him to give up on her. That she was lost. His reply breaks my heart. ‘What kind of husband would I be if I left you while you were lost?’ That deep love and loyalty coming into play strong. Killing me softly sir. Telling her she wasn't lost anymore, his role in her life was now over.

This portion what makes me the saddest. Tim being Tim is going to take the entire blame. If it’s going to lessen Isabel's pain/guilt he will burden himself with it. Take on the extra load emotionally. If him removing himself from her life makes her recovery better that’s what he will do. Because that’s Tim Bradford. He will always do what’s best for those he loves even if it destroys him. Makes him feel less than and second place to those people.

Absolutely kills me how he thinks he’s the problem. The reason she’ll never move on. When he’s the reason she’s even alive right now. But being the noble good man he is, Tim removes himself from the situation. Realizes there is nothing left to save. He’s the one who makes the call that it’s the end for them. That is growth for him that he can see this. Something Tim had been chasing for a year. Trying to get her to get clean and then back to the way they were. A dream now gone.

He came into his visit so hopeful and happy. Everything about him Is crushed when he leaves her side. That hug is the most depressing hug. Because it’s goodbye. They both know it. It’s goodbye to their marriage, to who they were before this and to what Tim had hoped would happen when he came to visit her. Sadly life can't be tied up neatly with a bow. There is an unrecoverable loss to this and its harsh reality for them both. More so for Tim IMO.

They both crush this scene. The way she fidgets before he leaves. Then makes sure to tell him thank you. They’re both on the verge of tears. Tim asks her what she’s thanking him for? Her reply is ‘Never giving up on me.’ He can't even muster up a small smile after. That is a sad and broken man that walks away from Isabel. I am crushed. Someday you’ll be loved properly Tim I promise. ❤️

Tim is so damn defeated in every way when we see him back at the station. Nell catches him and can see he isn’t ok. He tries to brush it off and go bury himself in paperwork. She takes him at his word and starts to leave. Then he does something he probably wouldn’t have done in his pre-Lucy days. He asks Nell if he could have a friend tonight. This is such a huge step towards who he becomes later. Finally just asking for some comfort and help.

Instead of being alone drowning in sadness and probably some self loathing, he chose to ask for help from someone he knew he could trust. To have someone to be there for him. I’m so proud of Tim. The growth he’s had already in this season been immense. His character arc along with Lucy’s is just so damn satisfying to watch. It’s slow but steady af. Love this man.

Your last post is funny bc just TODAY I watched that season finally. I’m literally 2 episodes into season 5 right now. As someone who just watched that for the first time (and hadn’t noticed it WAS the season finally when I started watching it) I was losing my goddamn MIND watching those episodes. Just constantly 😯😯😯. I began watching 911 when I started seeing posts circulating about Buck being bi. At the time I had no idea who he was other than the occasional gif set but it made me intrigued and I have been HOOKED. Literally trying to get through as many episodes as possible so I can watch the episodes live. Questions for you (since I have no one else to talk to about the show); when did you start watching? Have you had any predictions while watching the show that didn’t/ did come true? Like for me when I watched season 1 and Abby went to the fire department for the first time I SWORE up and down that her and Bobby were meant to be endgame (was clearly wrong lol). But also after Chris got stuck in the Tsunami I called it that something would happy to Harry later on (just a feeling that no one was safe lol, not even the kids). I’m just so curious to see what the fandom theories have been over time lol since I missed out on it!

Yeah, no, watching suspicion/survivors for the first time is WILD. Like, imma be honest and bit oversharing, I watched the show for the first time in a depressive episode, so I watched everything up to 5x10 in like, 6 days according to the posts I made on Tumblr about it, so I didn't realize theorize about anything, I was just hitting next episode like my life depended on it. But I didn't know anything about the show, like, at all, I had just watched 911 lone star in a weekend because it was on the tv and there were only like, 20 episodes of it out it at the time and a network in my country was just showing all of them on a loop, and I opened the Disney app fully intending to rewatch grey's anatomy, and 911 was the first show on my recommended to you list, and I had liked lone star enough, and was like sure why not. And I legit couldn't stop watching. All of this happened the week before 5x11 aired on the us, so 5x11 was the first episode I watched like "live" (the first episode I actually watched live was 5x16) but I watched it in the same week, I think I finished on a Tuesday? And the episode aired on Monday. I can't really give you any theories I have witnessed so far because they would be spoilers tho, but if you wanna come back once you catch up we can talk about some of the madness that goes around here. But I had the same thing happen to me, I didn't realize it was the season finale, and I didn't know anything about the show, so I had no idea what was happening, and I thought I had learned my lesson with the tsunami arc, because I watched 3x01 at like 3 am fully saying this is the last episode I will watch and then I'm gonna go to bed, and then the tsunami hit, and I was like well fuck and then Chris fell in the water and next thing I know is 5 am and Eddie is making me cry at the end there. But I saw the 13 and didn't realize the season only had 14 episodes and then everything kept happening. I seriously cannot imagine what it was like to be forced to wait a week between those 2 episodes it was SO CRAZY. When Eddie got shot I legit froze. Watching that for the first time not knowing it's coming is SOMETHING. I do remember thinking that they were gonna kill Shannon but I didn't expect to be right, I also remember clocking that Jason was Doug pretty fast. Something funny tho, I remember posting that meme that's like "I've had blank for 1 day and a half but if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this room and myself" with Buck and I waited until I had been watching for a day and a half, that means I posted it while watching the season 2 finale. I hit post and the truck blew up and I legit went like ????????? and that is still the most ironic thing that ever happened to me while posting about 911 kspskspkspakapkapa (here's the post, I actually came back to edit the tags because I was in shock lol) and I laugh every time I remember that lol but I'm glad you're enjoying the show, you can come back to talk to me about it any time!;

To my miraculous fans followers

I'm sorry but more the serie continues, more I’m turning myself into the dark side (aka the ml salt).

Maybe you saw that I didn’t reblog gifs from episodes since S4 (just a few) like I did for S1-S3 and to be honest, the wait between seasons/episodes and the way I’m slowly detached myself from the show to discover others cartoons or animes didn’t help either.

For S4 and mostly S5, the traitement of the characters, the Ladynoir/Adrinette chaotic relationship, the way Lukanette and Adrigami were killed at the first two episodes of S4, Marinette’s hypocrisy, Gabriel’s madness and his growth grudge towards Marinette, Chloé’s caricatural treatment, Lila being mastermind, no adult has a brain anymore, even if there’s globaly good ideas and so much potential, the fact they were awkwardly or badly executed were a pain to watch.

And you know what is the most painful? I loved that show.

Because is that : I loved that show.

It’s been 7 YEARS (almost 8 years in september if I remember correctly) since the serie debut, and like so many fans, I grew attached to the worldbuilding, the characters, the bond between all of them, the humor or the banters, the lore about the miraculous, the design of the superheros and the supervilains, their powers and how complex/funny/interesting they were... and if you have the inevitable urge to read/write fanfics, look/create the fanarts, or even read analysis/meta post about the episodes, you grow even more attached to the characters and the show!

But when you watch from a objective point of view, you realize there’s so much problems consistency issues (I don’t list them, others fans on tumblr and salty hashtags do it better).

Like I said in a previous reblog, if the writers didn’t want to make episodes just for shocked the viewers (remember when they said each episodes of S4 were equivalent of Chat Blanc??) because all the excessive drama around ladynoir or adrinette, if they didn’t push these things to the extra way, if they didn’t get anyone involved (Alya, classmates, adults) to tell Adrien and Marinette what to think or what to do, it could have been so much better. I firmly believe that friendship is a fondamental piliar to any relation. Adrinette started with a good way (cf origines), but they shaped Marinette into another girl who idolazed Adrien without sincerly knowing him (and when they start to give Marinette some retrospective of her behaviour, what we got? we got Alya to tell her she kNoW AdRiEn instead of listening genuinely her best friend and step back), and Adrien, even though he sincerely liked Marinette and held her in high esteem, he ends up becoming the perfect boy madly in love with her who forgets everything as soon as she is in his field of vision or as soon she breathes. If the others characters had LISTENED to Marinette when she questioned herself and preferred to remain friends with Adrien because she realized she didn’t fully know him, and if the others characters had LISTENED to Adrien when he told them he wasn’t agree with their crazy plans (they didn’t listen and the MCs sighed, abandonned their spine column when the classmates insisted a little bit too much), I repeat myself ; it. could. have. been. so. much. better.

To leave Marinette and Adrien figuring out how to do the things at their own rythm. Instead of a healthy, good and solid friendship that transform into romance, we get a forced ship. Because “ThEy MaDe FoR eAcH oThEr” like everyone said in millions times (I was temped to rewatch since the beggining to counts exactly how much the characters say this stupid sentence but I’m not strong enough). And they say this as if we were dumb and we didn’t know Adrinette was the endgame since day one.

Also, another thing that bug me : since S4 to S5 –and I don’t know if anyone felt that– but I have this distrubing impression that Marinette and Adrien mostly  were just puppets in the theater/playhouse and they didn’t have a soul. Sometimes it push me out of the show when I watch the episodes.

Anyways, if you made it until here, thank you for reading my rant post. Two more episodes to left for S5 that will air early july (I read the script of the finale and boy...) and I still don’t know if I will watch the S6. With Gabe and Chloe out of the picture, Lila stepping as main vilain (still wait for her background) and Emilie being here, maybe they’ll do something correct ? But as I said in a previous post, if I watch the first few episodes and if it irrated me, I’ll stop.

I’m tired to hurting myself.

Kinnporsche Rewatch Episode 4 Thoughts

Pete an Porsche are doing some INTENSE cuddling there, full on wrapped around each other like boa constrictors. Just Bestie Things, getting plastered and then snuggling with your homie and kissing him in your sleep.  (Pete’s hungover Judgey Face when Porsche says that he thinks he kissed someone last night was so funny. Judgey Pete is the best)

Kinn is having a fucking Crisis about kissing Porsche. he doesn’t kiss people! He doesn’t like people! he fucks rentboys for a reason! and Porsche has no clue that Kinn is spiraling.

Vegas begins operation Steal Kinn’s Girl with as much charm as he can put into it and the time honored tradition of Ragging On Your Younger Brother. Porsche, being a fellow older sibling, is weak to it.

Kinn is soooo jealous. but Kinn, if you don’t want Vegas to steal Porsche you’re going to have to use your words to explain that Vegas is psychosexually obsessed with you and taking the things/people that are yours!

Pol and Arm are so fucking excited to go to the spa and onsen in the fucking fancy hotel they fucking live in for the first time. what kind of clown show is Korn running, here. Let your bodyguards use the spa! maybe then you won’t get moles!

the panic as Vegas attempts to offer Porsche a job - and a way out from under Kinn’s thumb. the tension. Porsche is clueless, Kinn is pissed, Arm and Pol are scared shitless and Vegas is smug because he knows he hit Kinn’s nerves.

Tankhun is NOT scared of Vegas at all. hits him with a serving tray upside the head, gets right up in his face and tells him to GTFO. now THAT is the former Theerapanyakul Mafia Main Family Heir.

“Kissing is for people that we like ONLY!” ok so first of all this conversation is hilarious because are you telling me that Porsche never once kissed any of the girls he was hooking up with behind Yok’s bar? Press X To Doubt.  Secondly, Pete says that and smash cut approximately 7 episodes and Pete both makes out with and has freaky nasty sex with the man who kidnapped and tortured him. King Behavior.

aaaaand the start of the KimChay stoyline which i fankly find incredibly boring. but i do enjoy that Chay is out there trying his hardest to live his Wattpad Dreams.

up to now, we haven’t really seen Unhinged Vegas, just the charm offensive that he’s put out. but naked, bathed in red light, smoking, ominous music is background, chandelier out of focus looks like a demonic summoning circle THIS is crazy evil vegas and it is Effective. you know immediately, if you thought before that this man was just a dick who wants to pick on his cousin, that NO. This man is DANGEROUS.

i made an agreement with myself that i wouldn’t go looking for the last episodes of miraculous season 5 outside of my legal Disney+ account thinking that it would be self care, because the obsession i was feeling while watching the show was getting a little crazy and i felt like i needed to calm down and smell the roses.

but now im questioning that choice and i think it turned into self fucking torture. because i’ve rewatched all episodes way too many times, i terrorized a friend into watching it (she loved it so i don’t regret this) and im rewatching it with her too, im losing my mind with questions about how all these parts of the story are going to get wrapped up, im nervous about it, i have high expectations and i hope to not be disappointed, and i’m just. i think more obsessed with every detail of the show than when i was watching the third and fourth season the first time in like three days.

it won’t leave my mind im so excited but also so fucking stressed.

and i’ve been excited about shows that left me on a cliffhanger or something but this is different because i know others here on tumblr do know its ending and i could know its ending if i went looking for it but i do. not. want to. because i made a choice. and going back on it for some reason feels so wrong. i can’t do it with a good conscience but i don’t know how much longer i can go not being able to search the miraculous tag to find gifs and art and text posts about my favorite characters and moments and anything.

anyway. im going mad. but i’ll stand firm. wish me luck in not spoiling myself.

The Great Produce 48 Rewatch: Ep 3, Grade Reassignments Concluded

Welcome back, National Producer-nim, and Happy New Year! 

This crazy Produce48 Rewatch project is just flying by! In episode 1, we saw the girls enter the studio and begin their auditions. In episode 2, we saw the end of the auditions and the dorm move-in, as well as the video evaluations for their final grade reassignment, which we covered in the previous post. Now, in episode 3, we’ll finish the grade reassignments, see the huge performance of Nekkoya, and see the beginning of the first Challenge Mission! Of course, in this post, we’ll only see as much as I can cover with only 30 screenshots, which is up to the end of grade reassignments. We start off with a short clip of YGK+ model Ahn Ye Won on the phone with her mom. The 17-year old would-be idol can’t help but cry. In her journal, she has written “I started crying as soon as I called my mom. I told her it’s hard. I wanted to go home.” 

This kicks off a montage of trainees expressing their doubts and fears. Future Kep1er member Kim Dayeon voice overs, “It’s a lot harder than I expected.” Previously voice-less Goto Moe says, “I felt like I lack a lot.” Show-punching-bag Shin Suyhun says she feels like she’s the only one falling behind, which is definitely not true. Friendly Choi Yena says she’s mad at herself. Kato Yuuka journals, “I feel like I’m facing a wall.” As we see Honda Hitomi’s cute face, we hear from Yu Min Young, the mint-colored-polka-dot auditioner, who wonders, “Is this all I got?” They’re all so tired, emotionally and physically. 

But peppy music kicks in and the montage gets more cheerful, as girl after girl says something like “I want to debut!” and “I’m going to keep trying!” 

After the title/credits, we get right back to where we left off at the end of episode 2 -- with the Great Grade Reshuffling.

We don’t see much of Mary J Lee, but she seems really great. These are her grade-delivering heels!

Also, a lot of the Japanese girls aren’t present because they’re off doing something else for their AKB48 jobs. 

So the plan for the Great Grade Reshuffling is to have the girls from the lower grades move to their new grades first. This means that the A-class will find out their fates last. Jeremy tells them that if a lot of new girls arrive in the A classroom, there is an even higher chance that they’ll move down.

Side note: It's interesting that Jeremy was chosen to deliver the news to the A-class girls. He wasn't their vocal teacher -- Soyou was -- so he would have been comparatively unfamiliar. It might just have been that Soyou was unavailable, but I could convince myself that they chose Jeremy because Soyou is too nice to mess with their heads the way that Jeremy does. (Clearly Jeremy is just acting on orders from production, of course.)

We've already seen a few people's grades, but let's see a few more, and then when we're done I'll tell you everyone's grades and the new makeups of each group.

First up is a trainee moving from D down to F. It turns out to be YGK+ model Choi Yeon Soo, who completely forgot the words during her video evaluation. We saw her being sweet to Sailor Mercury earlier on, drawing a little picture to encourage the 14-year-old to get some sleep. She seems like a really nice girl, even if she might be a nepo baby. It’s a bummer that she has to move down to F class, but at least she’ll get to join her equally nice label mate Ahn Ye Won, who has failed to move up from F. 

Yewon laughs at Yeonsoo a little, but I don’t think it’s mean-spirited. From what we see of both girls, they seem really nice. 

Next we see a trainee moving down to F from  -- it’s Jang Gyuri from fromis_9, as discussed earlier. The girls are really really chincha chincha shocked. 

There’s Huh Yujin, future Le Sserafim, wearing yellow, second in a column of two. 

Next, there’s a trainee moving from D to B. And it’s Miru-chan, as we talked about earlier. The Japanese girls already in class D are surprised to see her, because she charming and they consider her a good dancer. But the judges think her singing is unstable and her dancing is “heavy,” like she’s getting twice as much gravity as anyone else. It’s just because she’s sad! Aww, Miru-chan! 

Next, we’ll see a girl moving to C from F. Of course, Chiba Erii would love to move up to C -- she’s not confident about her singing but she is confident with her dancing. But as we know, she’s staying in F. Dance Bae says, of Erii and her dancing, “Every time I see her, it’s so sad.”

She really does have an arresting face, though. 

So who is moving up from F to C? Well, as previously mentioned, it’s Goto Moe, the one with laryngitis on audition day. 

She says she thinks the trainers are giving her a C for "chance." Aww, this is sweet. She’s still a pretty terrible singer but hey, she’s getting better. Ganbatteyo, Moe-chan! 

Who moved to C from D? 

It’s Very Pretty Girl Kim Minju, who has also proven herself to be a Very Hardworking Girl. Dance Bae says, of Minju’s audition, “She’s not very good, but she doesn’t deserve to stay in D.” That’s Dance Bae for you! It’s accurate -- Minju’s singing was sometimes on key, but sometimes a few tones off, and though she seems to have done the whole dance, she still doesn’t exactly own the floor. Still, it’s great improvement. Minju, fighting! 

She voice overs something kind of sad: “I was told that I’m ambiguous. I’m not very good at singing or dancing or even acting. Then it said C next to my name for my final grade. I thought I was always ambiguous. I was disappointed.” I get what she’s saying. She’s so pretty that the entertainment industry is looking for an excuse to put her on screen, but she doesn’t really stand out with any particular skill. Aww. At least she seems fairly self-aware. 

Next to Minju in the shot above is Nakanishi Chiyori, who wore the pink fluffy skirt in What's Your Name?. Looks like she’s not thrilled with moving up only one spot. Hey, take your wins, Chiyori!! Some people in F stayed there -- it could always be worse. 

Next, someone is moving from C to B -- let’s see who it be! As mentioned in a previous recap, it’s Son Eunchae, future Bugaboo, who got so much story focus. She seems pretty happy, though -- not annoyed that she didn’t get into A class.

But who *did* make it into A class, stealing spots from the current A-class girls? Even though the spots aren’t limited?

First, it’s Kim Shihyun, future member of Everglow, who literally comes running in to the A-classroom. She’s obviously delighted to be there. 

We see a clip of her evaluation video, and obviously, she does great. 

Next is Ah Yujin, who also moved up from B. 

Also moving up from B is little Kang Damin (label mate of flat tummied Hwang Soyeon) and  future Rocket Punch Juri.

I hate that the staff told the A girls that if more girls moved up from lower ranks that they were more likely to move down, because as the lower ranked girls enter the room, no one seems happy to see them. Kind of a rotten welcome. Of course, that must be editing, too. I bet Soyeon was happy to see Damin. 

Moving up from C are Ko Yujin (“Hyuna lookalike”) and Honda Hitomi, as I mentioned earlier. We see a clip of Hitomi’s previous practice that we’ve never seen -- Soyou saying that Hitomi has one of the weakest vocals among all the Japanese girls. The judges were all shocked at how much she had improved. Wow, that’s great! I love that. (Kim Nayoung, future Lightsum, also joins, but we don’t see her come in.)

The A-classroom is starting to fill up. Jeremy, piling on the pressure, tells the girls that they should know that there was also a girl who moved up from F class all the way to A, but that she’s in Japan right now due to a scheduling conflict. 

We get a cute scene of Jeremy telling Yabuki Nako that she moved all the way up to A, via video chat. She screams and jumps up and down. It’s adorable. Her dream came true!

The new members of A-class: Kim Shihyun, Kang Damin, Ah Yujin, Juri, Kim Nayoung, Ko Yujin, and Honda Hitomi 

Now that the new members of A class are there, the current members of A get their new grades. They aren’t supposed to react or spill the beans, so as to maintain the suspense (that I already ruined). 

Who is this formerly A-class person walking through the door of B-class?

The Starship girls -- including original-face-Wonyoung -- are shocked that it’s…. Yuehua's Choi Yena. 

She looks so different without her cheerfulness and without her ponytail. It must have been weird for her to experience the happiness of her Yuehua labelmate joining A class, only for her to almost immediately leave it behind.

Now, who’s this coming into Class C? MNET drags it out, of course, but it’s… Kwon Eunbi.

She sits down behind Kim Cho Yeon (fire eyes girl) and Kim Doah (future Fanatics/GP999), who have also both moved down from A class with her, and quietly begins to cry. None of them really has the strength to comfort the other at this point. 

Kim Su Yun, future Rocket Punch and current labelmate of Eunbi’s, covers her face to hide her tears. Suyun probably didn’t come on this show genuinely hoping to make the top 12 -- she’s here for exposure, mostly, and the experience -- but she knows that 22-year-old Eunbi really NEEDS this. 

Eunbi tearfully explains that she feels bad because as an unnie, she always tells her younger labelmates that they can do this -- and she feels like she broke her promise. 

Back in A class, Jeremy announces that the trainee who is moving down to F should go now. Someone stands up, and no one looks that surprised, just sad. They saw her recording her evaluation video and knew that something like this was possible, even likely. A pixelated blur moves down the hall and makes its way to F class. Who could it be? The F class girls are shocked to see that it’s Jo Yuri, one of the Chewing Gum auditioners (she was in the lemon yellow). 

We see a clip of her evaluation video, in which she completely froze. Poor kid. She’s only 16. When I was 16, I had a fight with my mom the night before the SATs and I couldn’t sleep all night, like not at all, not even for 10 minutes. I was just seething with rage and I couldn’t make it stop. I had to go take the SATs on no sleep at all and I just stared at it, like, what is this? What is 2+2 again? If my whole future had rested on that exact test, my whole future would have turned out quite different than it did.

Thankfully, I had another chance, and thankfully, Jo Yuri will have another chance too, when she does some of the upcoming missions. So it’ll be ok, Yuri. 

Now that Yuri and the other “failures” have been kicked out of the room, Jeremy tells the 14 remaining A-class girls that they will be the center of the big performance of Nekkoya.

At some point around episode 3, Tsukiashi Amane withdrew from the competition, so this is our chance to say goodbye to her and see how she’s doing now.

After she left the competition, she went back to HKT48 and performed with them until 2020, when she graduated, saying she wanted to leave the J-pop sphere. However, in 2022 she debuted in a J-pop group called Fruits Zipper. Per their website:

FRUITS ZIPPER is a 7-member idol group consisting of Tsukiashi Amane, Matsumoto Karen, Manaka Mana, Sakurai Yui, Hayase Noel, Nakagawa Luna, and Chinzei Suzuka. 

​The group was formed from participants in ASOBISYSTEM’s idol project KAWAII LAB. The group’s name combines FRUITS, meaning ‘to bear fruit,’ and ZIP, meaning ‘to give energy.’ The group’s concept is ‘from Harajuku to the world,’ and the group will transmit what they call ‘NEW KAWAII’ from Harajuku, an area known for fashion and individuality, to the world.

​From collaborating with renowned creators to selling out monthly concerts, the girls have already made a name for themselves at numerous large-scale events despite having only just debuted. 

​Even before FRUITS ZIPPER made its debut, the girls attracted plenty of attention with their stunning visuals. With their cute image and incredibly powerful stage performances, the group has already captured the hearts of fans around the world.

They’re doing a thing and honestly, I’m here for it. That’s Amane in red in the middle.

Her tiktok is pretty active, as is her insta. Looks like she’s dabbling in gravure a bit, and also doing some modeling for magazines and brands. Get that money, girl!

Did you ever watch parks and recreation? Because I’m rewatching it now, it’s S4E2 and Ron’s first ex wife Tammy 1 is in the episode and she literally makes Ron be a shell of the man he is, he literally gives up who is is and became a nothing but her little puppy who literally has NO self confidence, NO self respect and just gives up all of his morals and everything he stands for.

That’s literally what Felicity does to Oliver, and what Sydney does to Carmy.

Tammy 1 is literally representing TOXIC femininity, she’s literally the example of what man should be aware of and stay away from

Yet Felicity & Sydney are basically versions of her and people are actually shipping them with men who they abuse and devalue.

Okay SO I think you've analysed it very correctly - you're mourning something that existed in your head and it's difficult to get closure on something that's not yk real. For Taylor and Joe, breaking up was the result of falling out of love (which is normal but sad). For you, you're having to break up with Swiftwyn without ever falling out of love with them because, as you rightfully point out, you don't know them and weren't involved. You loved the concept (that's all other people's relationships can ever be if we're not somehow caught up in the middle of it). You don't have to stop loving the concept. It's not that different from idk The Doctor and Rose together or Meredith and McDreamy or idk that gay Supernatural ship.

So my advice is take a deep breath and allow yourself to still like them as a ship from when they're together. Them being broken up in 2023 doesn't mean you can't imagine 2016 them when Delicate comes on (if that's what pops into your head), same as you can picture Jake and Taylor when ATW plays and same as you can rewatch episodes of your favourite ships even when the couple later breaks up or idk the show ends.

Because we're operating with the concept, not with real life.

Now here's where it gets tricky though. We are liking concepts but dealing with real people - that's where liking celeb couples gets weird. So while it's perfectly okay to listen to Delicate and imagine the dive bar or look at the potato quality pap shots of them or whatever, what's not okay is harassing them or the recurrent "DAD COME BACK" jokes (which mostly stopped now that TK is around, which goes back to how this is concept not real life). Because like... they're real people who just got over each other and that's sad and I can't imagine dealing with my own issues and having strangers "mourning" it for me or telling me who I should date next. People are mad weird.

As for "love isn't real" - well, Hollywood love isn't really. The Notebook doesn't happen irl. I mean read this interview from Goldie about Kurt. Kurt and Goldie broke up/took separations in both 2000 and 2004. Then they realised that even though they pissed each other the fuck off, they're better off staying together, and here they still are now. One day, maybe they'll take another separation and stay apart after that. Who knows!?!?! NOT THEM. So certainly not us. Love is incredible and magical but it's also going to have ups and downs and require work and compromise and if the bad starts outweighing the good then it's time to find something else.
