Raven Autumn is a nonbinary sapphic ex-enclave

Their story is basically being a child bride for Colonel Augustus Autumn who ends up having an affair with an enclave scientist... who happen to be the sister of Autumn's right hand

After Erick destroys Ravensrock they ironically enough get closer to their affair partner's brother who extends sympathy towards them. The two end up leaving the enclave lifestyle and run off looking for their lover/his sister after they lost everything else

They eventually realized they were nonbinary and when picking a name for themselves decided to keep their now dead husband's last name

it took Tucker (ap's brother) a while to get used to it but the two basically as inseparable siblings now

Now they just hope to find their precious sonya alive somewhere... maybe somewhere in the commonwealth :eyes:

btw their voice claim is Dua Saleh

love how what made me hate snow in the original thg trilogy was all the atrocities, but what made me hate him in tbosas was the fact that he doesn't get poetry and hates ghost stories, like what a fucking philistine

I had a post go viral about this but yeah I’m STILL not done talking about it.

Catching Fire is such a good book because you can really see all the pieces of the plan and how they were put together. How the arena was so clearly meant to strengthen Finnick in their attempt at rebellion and Plutarch pulled that off because he knew Finnick was Snow’s pick for a victor of that games. I absolutely love how subtly genius Plutarch really is, like he pulled off the entire rebellion through his manipulation of Snow and Snow’s need for power. I love the concept of the clock, how he gave the hint to Katniss, and how things like the lightning tree were placed purposely so they could be used in their plan. I mean truly the more I think about this book the more astonished I am at how beautiful the setup is. Plutarch’s plan was so flawless. Planting the idea of hand picking the tributes from previous victors so the quell to Snow was a way to rid himself of his strongest opposition (keeping Finnick, his most valuable asset amongst these victors); but to Plutarch he was assembling his perfect rebel alliance. Catching Fire is just an amazing work that I will think about forever.

French TV journalist having a hard time trying to get woman in the street to comment on Macron's latest speech yesterday

Protesters organised casserolades (aka banging on pots and pans) in front of city halls across the country at 8pm, when Macron was speaking, to symbolically drown out his voice. Later that evening, Macron was filmed singing a song with some 'random people' in a street in Paris, trying to show he can go out and meet people and have fun because protesters don't exist. The people he was singing with (members of a choir, some of whom are 'alt-right-leaning') were using a folk song app created by far-right activists that was criticised a few months ago for hosting a Spanish fascist anthem & Third Reich military marches.

The government's response was that the President "couldn't know the background of the people he met that night." Maybe if he wants to avoid being associated with the far-right (that's a big if, I know), Macron should keep in mind that with the kinds of strategies and positioning his government has adopted lately, people in the street who welcome him with open arms and are proud to be filmed with him have a higher than average likelihood of supporting fascism.
