another  fierce  battle  ,  another  victory  [  …  ]  the  high  cloud  quintet  stayed  as  true  to  their  legacy  as  always  ,  felling  great  behemoth  abominations  so  that  they  could  return  home  to  the  xianzhou  to  bring  peace  to  the  people  .  truly  a  noble  effort  ,  albeit  one  that  came  with  it's  share  of  sadness  . 

jingliu  ,  whilst  making  her  way  back  to  their  ship  all  blood  soaked  and  battle  worn  ,  she  silently  pondered  on  how  long  their  way  of  living  would  last  .  a  great  number  of  years  ,  surely  …  for  their  friendship  and  their  collective  will  seemed  unbreakable  at  present  .  the  thought  gave  her  some  peace  of  mind  ,  knowing  that  they  were  doing  the  right  thing  and  that  she  herself  was  bringing  some  form  of  justice  to  all  of  those  who  had  been  lost  on  the  xianzhou  cangcheng  . 

her  brief  moment  of  brooding  hadn't  gone  unnoticed  ,  apparently  [  …  ]  going  interrupted  by  familiar  footfalls  behind  the  sword  champion  .  that  unmistakable  treading  ,  no  other  than  baiheng  .  the  ghost  of  a  smile  spread  almost  immediately  along  jingliu's  tiers  ,  body  half-turning  so  she  could  regard  the  other  .               “            i  was  beginning  to  wonder  where  you  had  gotten  to  …            ”               jingliu  spoke  ,  nonchalantly  so  despite  it  being  a  lie  .  she  made  sure  to  keep  track  of  where  her  lover  disappeared  to  when  they  were  still  outside  of  a  safe  zone  ,  secretly  wanting  to  always  be  sure  of  her  safety  .  any  saddened  thoughts  were  all  but  forgotten  now  that  sanguine  gaze  had  found  baiheng  .  with  a  court  nod  ,  jingliu  ceased  in  her  tracks  so  that  the  other  could  catch  up  entirely  . 

she  was  greeted  with  both  a  warm  smile  and  careful  hands  lifting  to  clean  away  the  splats  of  blood  that  sat  ‘pon  the  sword  champions  face  ,  as  attentive  as  ever  .  the  gentle  fussing  prompted  jingliu  let  out  a  short  groan  ,  finally  reaching  up  to  take  a  hold  of  the  hands  that  plucked  away  stray  pieces  of  viscera  .  she  appreciated  greatly  the  gesture  ,  but  presently  was  more  interested  in  sharing  a  moment  of  calm  .  with  a  gentle  sigh  ,  jingliu  closed  the  distance  between  them  all  the  more  and  shifted  to  rest  her  forehead  against  the  other’s  .  lacing  fingers  together  ,  she  held  baiheng's  hands  with  a  softness  granted  to  nobody  else  .               “            i'm  glad  you're  alright  .            ”

here’s some hunnihawk hurt/comfort after a particularly rough day in surgery, AU where they’re together in korea

“Hawkeye, I can hear you thinking, breathe before you work yourself up again.” He slides a hand under Hawkeye’s t-shirt and lazily traces circles on his back. “Feel my hand on your skin. Feels warm, right?” Hawkeye nods. (He wouldn’t mind being in BJ’s arms for the next century and a half, give or take a decade.)

“Good. Can I take your shirt off?” He nods again, and lifts his arms to allow BJ to pull his shirt up and over his head. Once the shirt is tossed aside somewhere into the dark, BJ takes off his own shirt and pulls Hawkeye close. (Hawkeye wonders if BJ can feel his heartbeat, like a tattoo against his skin.)

“I can’t solve everything that’s wrong,” BJ murmurs into Hawkeye’s neck. “That’s a little out of my depth. But I can hold you and keep you safe for right now, okay? So what can I do?”

“Kiss me,” Hawkeye breathes, and BJ obliges immediately, closing the distance between their mouths with a kiss that says “I’m here,” warm and soft and safe.
