this has happened to me with various animals. most notably frogs. one of my friends at my current job showed me the MILF (man i love frogs) meme several years ago and i laughed a reasonable amount. i sent back several frog memes i had because, y’know. i just had a lot of memes and frogs were very memeable at the time. over the next few months anytime anyone in the office saw frog-related content it would be directed to me. at a certain point multiple years later i had to tell everyone hey i like getting these memes but y’all know i don’t particularly like frogs, right? like im a fish guy. this has come up. everyone was devastated. to a good handful of people im still the frog guy even though they know the truth

Don't laugh at people or mock people who are "childish". People are allowed to like things that are considered "childish". Toys, kids cartoons, anything like that can be a valuable source of comfort for the people who like them. It's important to have things in life that make you happy, and without them it gets miserable. Wether that thing is stuffed animals or cooking or writing lyrics, what's important is that others don't ridicule and belittle them for it. There shouldn't be such judgement for the things that make people happy.

Sorry for not posting art in a while. I was putting my all into this one particular project. It’s my first time animating complex expressions, voice sync, and body movement so it drained me to hell. Yet it still came out a hot bloody mess.

Y'all I just watched Jaiden Animations' video about learning she has ADHD and man... some of that stuff just hit me hard. The having to tie yourself down to work, the being relatively okay in school until college, the wondering if a doctor would just say, "It's a you problem, go away"—geez that resonated. I'm glad she finally got a diagnosis and Adderall and learned how to work best with herself though! I hope things start to turn out better for her as time goes on

There comes times where other toons break in, assume Perry's being held captive, and attempt to fight the big bad Chainsaw Consultant in order to "free" em. In the event of this, Perry usually portholes away back to the playground, and at first would wait until the following day to come back.

Eventually, this turned into coming back in once the coast was clear and there was no longer any revving behind closed doors.

I've not watched Vrains but seeing you post about it makes my day every time. Every new Yusaku autism-core post I see I grin and say "yeeeeees"

Every time I think yugioh can't make a more autism protagonist, they delight in proving me wrong.

I know technically Yusaku's obsession with calming himself down by listing things in threes is because of his backstory, but also. Come on. No neurotypical would talk like this while trying to call an ambulance. When he first did it, I started happy stimming so hard. A MAIN CHARACTER! WITH ARITHMOMANIA!!!

His facial animation is stunning. I was so impressed by how far 5Ds got with having a character with limited expressiveness, and VRAINS just keeps raising the bar for me. Animated characters who don't smile/emote very much but still have unique facial animation while still having a Resting B#$% Face my BELOVED

He canonically has insomnia related to his ptsd. His best friends drag him for having zero social skills. AI REFERS TO HIM AS HAVING "THE EMPATHY OF A MOLLUSK."

He will just nope out on conversations midway through and I will never stop cheering about it.

All the yugioh protagonists are extremely autism, but Yusaku is a canonically compulsive, unemotive, low-empathy, zero social skills autistic and STILL THE HEROIC MAIN CHARACTER and I am LIVING FOR IT.

approximately how long does it take you to finish a page? i love ur art btw!!!

Thank you!! :D It's hard to give a precise time because of how scatterbrained I can get, but if I had to give an estimate I'd say... probably around 8-10ish hours per page on average? It just takes me so dang long to actually get around to drawing because I get so distracted and busy sometimes :')

Very good question!! I struggled with this for a loooong long time too, actually!

My best advice is to just take the plunge, honestly. Most fun things in life are "cringe," and it's not worth missing out on just to please a handful of jerks. There are way, way, WAY more people out there who will enjoy your art and share your passions than you'd think, and you'd never find them if you never post! Remember that even if by rare random happenstance you did run into a jerk somewhere down the line, then being cringe isn't the worst thing you could be. Unlike them, at least you aren't mean.

So I'd say go for it. There's no harm in trying, and if worst comes to worst, you can always delete the blog again.
