People on Twitter are nuts, trying to gaslight people into thinking that SnC fandom is reducing and boys are loosing popularity, meanwhile they are literally growing more and more. Sometimes i feel like some people are cosplaying as fans, while praying on their downfall for nobody knows what reason

i'm gonna go a rant for this so… read if you wanna lol

so the thing is, as someone who has been here for basically forever (but not really) there was a point in time when snc used to really listen to fans' opinions, and i mean really listen. and while that's nice in theory, what it ended up being is the twitter fandom would say jump, and snc would ask how high. and look, it's one thing to call out problematic behaviors. i'm not saying that shouldn't be a thing.

but not everything you disagree with is a problematic behavior.

and that's what happened. the twitter side grew to have a lot of power in this fandom. they essentially were the mouth piece for how the fandom felt for a couple years. they would yell at snc (or mostly colby) about something, and snc (or mostly colby) would issue an apology, or try to explain themselves when they shouldn't have to; obviously, negating actual problematic behavior. the twitter fandom cried wolf too many times tho, bc some of the shit they used to yell at, in particular, colby for was just plain dumb. the man got yelled at for wishing happy international women's day, like full blown called a sexist. he got screamed at for not talking about jan. 6 as it was happening. he got a death threat so fucking bad that he took an entire week off from twitter, and that whole situation basically caused him to keep twitter at an arms length from that point forward.

and bc of shit like this, snc grew tired of having to explain themselves over and over again, especially when everywhere else, fans didn't give a fuck about most of what twitter would bring up. or if snc apologized for actual things they did wrong, these same fans would bring this shit up all over again as if they hadn't already apologized.

they cried wolf and were perpetually unsatisfied. and i think that vibe made snc cut their losses and basically leave the platform altogether, minus when they go to promote something.

but the fans that are on there, talking about snc declining and not being as popular as they once were… those are the old fans that wish they could go back to 2020/21 when snc would bend at the knee for them. it's all cope. they can't accept the fact that they don't a, have unfettered access to snc anymore, b, can't just scream at them to do what they want, or c, have power in the fandom anymore. bc look, are there fans that genuinely feel like snc need to do more/aren't as good as they once were? for sure. i'm not saying that isn't reality. however, the twitter fans love to say that everyone feels like this, when that just isn't the case. even if let's say for argument's sake 10k ppl feel this way. hell, let's make it 100k. if 100k ppl feel this way about snc, out of the 13 mil that are subbed to them, THAT'S NOT EVEN 1% OF THE ENTIRE FANDOM. obviously not everyone subbed to them is in the fandom but you catch my drift. so that's how little these ppl actually speak for this fandom.

and when snc got gfs, that's when this fandom hit a whole new low. i expected there to be some craziness, but i never imagined it would get this bad. and the ones that talk about how they never cared about snc getting gfs, bffr. you only starting hating snc to this degree when the girls came into the picture. you guys are upset that you didn't get a say in whether or not snc dated katelyn and malia, and that pissed you off so much that now you take it out on not only the girls but the boys. and that's just weird fucking behavior given the fact that snc are supposed to be the ones you LIKE.

what's funny to me about all of this, truly, is the fact that these fans talk a big game but never do anything. yall complain to high heaven, saying you're leaving if snc don't change, ect, ect. and yet… here you are. still. and some of yall have been saying this shit since like 2021 so???? what gives? do you actual hate everything snc does or are you just so miserable in your own life it's easier to take it out on the men you swear you like than try to fix your problems???? you tell me.

ooooo this is an interesting one. i don't pay much attention to the ghost's backstories and outside of a few exceptions i don't actually care??? like clockwork is interesting to me if only on a worldbuilding aspect bc i like the idea that he's always existed and watched over time y'know?? like the idea that he was passively watching over it but only inteferred with danny bc he knew be had the potential to be a good ghost king is a good concept. not a super big fan of his design but oh well, it goes w his theme so i'm not complaining abt it

I got accused of being a fan of Sakura when I was complaining about what an awful character Hinata is and got confused. I'm relatively new to Naruto & the fandom so I wasn't aware that most ppl who hate Sakura, love Hinata & vice versa. I don't like either of them 😂 I just hate Hinata more because of how much SP bends over backwards favoring her, trying to make her seem relevant, etc. It's far too irritating. In the public, he’s very minimal with it. He won’t kiss you or do anything massive. He rather stick to his affection being in private. He will hold your hand though! 

B = Boast (How often do they boast/talk about your to other people?):

Not a lot. Toshinori is once again a very private person. Everyone around will think that he’s very much single but when they look over to his phone and see your name with a heart, they’d be shocked. 

C = Communication (Are they good a talking about how they feel and listening to how you feel?):

He’s getting better with communicating! He isn’t that good with expressing how he feels but he does try! You just have to push him to tell you whatever is happening. On the other end, he’ll listen to you 100%. Whatever is wrong, he’ll listen to you and try and give you advice. 

D = Dates (What are common dates and how regular are they):

After Toshi retired, he’s gotten a lot more chances to take you out on dates. They usually consist of taking you to a cafe or library. He hates loud places so don’t expect concerts or busy places. 

E = Effort (How much effort do they put into the relationship?):

Toshinori thinks that a relationship should be 100% on both ends. If the two of you aren’t putting the same amount of effort, he thinks that the relationship won’t work. So whatever is going on, the effort has to be on the same both parts. 

F = Flirting (How do they flirt and how do they react to being flirted with): 

He tries so hard but he fails just as hard. You think it’s endearing but he really lost his touch after high school. When someone is flirting with him, he gets flustered rather quickly. He’ll just take it but won’t know how to react to it. 

G = Gift (How often do they give you gifts?):

Toshi is the kind of boyfriend who will give you gifts but they aren’t the most expensive or the nicest. He knows your heart and the way to your heart isn’t by buying his way through nice things. He’ll take you ice skating and buy you hot chocolate or buy you a single rose on his way home. 

H = Health (What do they do when you’re sick?):

He helps you so much. He’ll take a few days off of work and nurse you back to health. He’ll make you soup or pick you up any medicine. Depending on the sickness, he’ll make sure not to get too close since he doesn’t to contract the sickness but he will wait on you hand and foot. 

I = Insecurity (How insecure are they in themselves and the relationship?):

Toshinori is extremely insecure. He knows he isn’t the most attractive and you could do so much better and sometimes, he just thinks of breaking up with you so you can find some better. What finally knocks some sense into him is when he sees you doing the most domestic shit. He thinks it’s cute as hell and it just gives him that sense of validation he needs. 

J = Jealous (How often do they get jealous and how do they react?):

Not that much. He’ll get jealous on some occasions but won’t make a scene about it. He knows where he stands in your heart but he can’t help but feel that sense of jealousy sometimes. 

K = Kiss (What are their favourite kisses and where do they kiss you the most?):

He loves giving you forehead kisses. Since it is kinda hard for you to even reach him, he has to bend down a lot. It usually ends up with him being the one to bend down and giving you kisses. His go to kisses are forehead kisses because he just finds a sense of purity to it. 

L = Love (How often do they say they love you and how do they show it?):

Usually before he leaves to work. It might be thrown around a lot but he doesn’t say it often to other people. It’s usually to you and to Izuku. Obviously it’s two different connotation considering one is father-son relationship and the other is a romantic relationship. (Had to make it clear bc I know some ppl with strange ships and this is not the blog for it.)

M = Marriage (Do you get married? When?):

Yep! He asked for your hand in marriage after four years of dating. He made sure that nothing would interrupt the very serious moment but it all went to shit when he went down on one knee. He accidentally slipped and fell on his ass. While he tried to play it off, you knew you had to put him out of his misery and you said yes!

N = Naked (What’s their reaction to seeing you naked?):

He immediately shielded his eyes. He knew you probably didn’t want him to see you naked so quickly into the relationship but he did save a mental image! You know, for science reasons. 

O = Occasion (What do they do on special occasions?):

For special occasions and holidays, you’ll take him to meet your parents. Whether it’s both parents or just one (child of divorce representation woo woo!), he’d make sure he’d do everything that was asked of him and more. If it’s his turn, he’ll take you anywhere you want! His goal is just to make you happy! 

P = Protective (How protective are they over you?): 

Very! He makes sure that when you’re out on the street on your own, you know how to defend yourself. He will train you with Izuku and while he make sure that you know how to get yourself out of a situation. 

Q = Quirk (How do they use their quirk in relation to your?):

His quirk and your quick take a while to get used too. If your quirk doesn’t do well with his, the two of you work on making it work if that makes sense. His quirk and your quirk could probably do a lot of damage if the two of you work on it. 

R = Relax (How do you two relax?):

You have to force this mf to relax. Literally it takes you and sometimes Gran Torino to make him relax. You know that his injury needs time and he needs to take it easy so the two of you try to relax as much as possible. It’ll consist of you two soaking in the bath together with warm water. 

S = Save (What are they like when they save you?):

If he saved you and the two of you are already dating, the facade of his All Might form goes out the window. You’ll whisper into his ear, “you’re my hero, Toshinori,” and he’ll get all flustered. 

T = Temper (How often do they lose their temper with you?):

Not a lot. He deals with Bakugou for crying out loud. He can calm down before he even tries to yell at you. If he does though, he’ll instantly regret it and try to talk it out. 

U = Upset (What do they do when you’re upset and what do you do when they’re upset?):

Like previously stated, he’ll try to help you out when you’re feeling upset. If you’re upset at him, he makes sure he knows what it’s about and try to resolve the issue. If he’s upset with you, you know it’s better to deal with the problem head on than to ignore it. 

V = Vacation (Where would you go on vacation together?):

Usually, it’s to different places in Japan. You’ll try to knock out all of the tour-y places first and then it’s out of the country and you know you have to take to the United States. 

W = Wash (What’s it like to shower/bathe with them?):

 If it isn’t sexual, oh my god it’s a struggle. He has to move the shower head because he is literally taller than it so after a while, you leave all annoyed because you can hardly get any water. Toshinori can’t help but laugh. 

X = X-ray (How do they react to you being injured?):

He’s really pissed off about it. He kinda blames it on him for not being there for you but in reality, he’s pissed that he can’t catch the villain himself. Since he’s retired, he can’t help but want to become a hero for one more day so he can deal with the villain all on his own.

Y = Yearn (How much to they pine when you’re not around?):

Not much. Toshinori is pretty occupied when you’re around and if you leave, it doesn’t change much. If you’re gone for a long time, he’ll start getting a bit more annoyed as time passes and starts to lose his temper a little more.

Z = ZZZ (What are they like to sleep with?):

It’s pretty smooth sailing. He hugs you from the back and he stays that way. The only reason why he’ll move is if you have to use the bathroom or he has too. The two of you stay pretty still.

and OH OH i’d love 2 explain: see in the first few eps u sympathize w mr schue, and even through a first viewing of the show u can say that he’s annoying n not cool at times but overall a great teacher…after watching again i realized this is not the case D:

mr schue has been the LEAST helpful adult next 2 sue sylvester. he groups up these kids in hopes to bring back glee club, that’s cool! but the way he treats rachel and finn compared 2 how he treats everyone else is really sickening. like there is SUCH blatant favouritism that even the students call out multiple times, and he does nothing about it

i forget which ep, but it’s in s1..rachel is mad that mr schue gives tina a solo from WSS, he chases after her (after her tantrum) and tell her quite literally, that she is THE only hard working person in the club. that everyone else expects her to pick up their slack and that they need to feel competition among each other. 

not 2 mention how cruelly he treated mercedes in s3, telling her she’s not working hard enough n being a brat even though rachel would thROW TANTRUMS over not having solos. rachel worked hard but ONLY for herself, she only wanted the glee club to succeed for herself, yet was never given the amount of flack that mercedes endured. cedes was literally on the verge of throwing up and he was STILL in her face tellin her to get over it. during all of this rachel wasn’t even present and guess what? he never got in rachel’s face about it.

when rachel or finn are angry and throwing fits he goes to them 2 try and figure out the issue…but 2 him mercedes is just ‘being loud and rude’ bc obviously she’s not a human being who has her own issues that could use the same attention he gives to those two white kids

the only ppl he was really a good mentor to was finn and rachel, every one else was just there as background noise. and honestly his entire motive for bringing up glee club again just feels like a weird ass power trip LOL 

but yeah i really hate his character and how the show bends over backwards to pretend that he really helped these students at all (like congrats u did yer job at most but failed 8 out of like 10 of yer studentS)

Fruits Basket, Se3, ep10 (part 2)

-Yuki’s stages of growth:

I love yuki! I used to say that yuki’s growth is the most clear & steady going, it was done with much care & involving the audience in every step. However, I now think there is sth missing from his last stage of growth. Yuki’s growth is divided into 3 stages:

Realizing his weakness ( Mom’s tohru stage), in se01 & most of se02, took way longer than it should, imo. But the ideas were well-written, the concept of needing a maternal figure is original & we connected with him a lot.

Searching for himself ( Kakeru stage & friendship) in se02, took appropriate time. well-written, gradual, clear & fulfilling.

Becoming his own person ( Machi) & (kyo: altho this new dynamics just started) in se03. very little time, hasty development.

I’ve talked abt stage 1 & 2 enough. I loved the ideas, the struggle & the writing. I had few complains about how excessive the tohru-stage was & how it could’ve been reduced to benefit both tohru & yuki without stealing anything from their growth. Now, we see the consequences of not planning yuki’s growth moderately throughout the 3 seasons. The biggest element that suffered is his stage as a normal teenage guy with normal romantic feelings to contradict his child-like stage when he needed a motherly care & support from another female his age. By the time se03 started lots of characters with their arcs not starting yet needed the spotlight! Yuki was a character in the final stage of his arc, so his entire romantic journey condensed to (a) fixing machi’s issues to create a bond: se03, e03, (b) deciding to confess the curse & feelings: se03 ep.5. Their relationship can happen off-screen as well, that’s fine, but the audience who spent 2 seasons hearing yuki’s thoughts abt realizing his struggle to acknowledge a motherly love, should have been involved in yuki’s thoughts in realizing a romantic love. All you need, is a very short access to yuki’s thoughts. Him looking at her while doing student council activities & telling us he loves her, not him grabbing her hand  thinking “ oh gotta tell her my biggest secret & test her love to me”. So, it is a shame normal teenage boy yuki in love part is missing before the confession & becoming an official couple.

-Yuki’s growth after facing kyo:

This part that is confusing me. Part of making yuki become his own person is making him face kyo & they both set their differences aside & connect. They both becoming free from the “ I hate you” that the sohma system constructed & their trauma reinforced. This is huge as you can connect it to the zodiac legend: The cat never hated the rat for tricking it & the rat was never bad. The whole legend crumbles down as the two zodiacs connect.

--During the fight: yuki was his real self: someone who cares for others with burning passion. Yuki completely dropped down any remaining attachment to his mask & was his most open & emotional stage. The boys connected in a dark dim-let hallway between their rooms. Signaling they met in the middle. Now they see eye to eye.

--After the fight: Kyo left the darkness into the sunny streets, decided to face his dad & reconcile with his past, was rewarded with the knowledge that he didn’t have anything to do with his mom’s death. He left his dad’s house determined to chase his life. Move forward. He had doubts again as he neared tohru but those doubts added humanity & realistic reluctance. You just dont go 100% strong suddenly. But it is so weird that yuki kinda regressed a little after the fight?? he stayed in the dark dim-let hallway? why? His body language confused me so much!

Yuki looked broken, hugging himself, hiding his face, head buried, exactly as he was in akito’s room in his flashbacks!!!

We hear the same voice-over from the ep opener abt mistakes & trails. The voice-over fits kyo so much but it is so weird attached to yuki now in this exact stage after the fight while he’s sad? Why is yuki sad to begin with??? Is it because yuki is the writer & she needed to comment on kyo’s state thro yuki’s voice-over? This has been done before in se02, ep14. But why attach it with sad imagery of yuki? the voice-over can be attached to him being relived, calm & collected.

Shouldn’t he be relived & liberated knowing the guy who hated him & hurt him was in reality admiring him all this time?! Shouldn’t he be proud of himself for standing up to tohru? for opening up abt his feelings?

Shouldn’t he be happy to empty his chest from the long hidden secret of admiring kyo! Shouldn’t he be clear headed now? stronger? like how kyo is stronger now?

Shouldn’t he be glad that he helped kyo get his act together. He did another person whom he presumably hate a favor just like tohru did him a favor. I’m not saying he should be happily jumping in the house, lol, but he shouldn’t be sad, too!

Why staying in the dark? Why sulking? Why having existential thoughts abt life in general until machi saved him from all that with her call.

-Kureno/ Arisa/ Akito: (the end of the non-existence triangle):

Arisa unexpectedly found out the man she loved is hospitalized. Akito tells her I stabbed him. Arisa hugs her. I’m sorry, but what? XD. Shouldn’t Arisa at least say: what? is he okay? Not judging, but why did you stab him? I mean even if Arisa is okay with akito & all, but as a first reaction that was so weirdly-written, lol. I get the need to hastily close this chapter, But I duno it could’ve been written better even with the intention of making Arisa hug akito. oh well~ moving on. Arisa says she’s sorry she wasnt in kureno’s 26 years & I was like yeah, cuz you weren’t born yet, girl! You can plan to spend the rest of your life with him, but I fail to see the romance in the sentiment of feeling left out from the life of a person older than me. I simply wasn’t born. Anyway, moving on~ He then tells her he needs to leave /break up with akito for akito’s sake! oh, kureno, you’re such a kind/fool guy, but OMG, do I wish to hear my crush/lover say he’ll break up with his ex for his ex’s sake!  I get this is Airisa thing, to love foolish/kind ppl. The ep closed with both kyo & yuki chasing their future in union. Kyo determined but worried, yuki surprised but blushing. Machi took yuki from the darkness of his hallway to the sunny streets to give him sth, unknowingly setting their 1st date! Tohru runs away from kyo, which he responded by more determination contradicting his defeated self when tohru confessed to him in ep8. Can I say seeing kyo runs after tohru is so fulfilling after seeing him push her away! yes, tohru, give him hard time! yes, make him bend da knee, queen! XD. I guess next ep we’ll see two confessions!

I can’t say much abt yuki/machi confession as I don’t know their romantic dynamics at all, but I have no doubt the director will make yuki’s confession worthy to compensate the lack of their growth as a romantic ship! can’t wait!!

As for kyoru, oh boy~ tohru looks hurt, as expected! her eyes are tearful. Kyo has to show her the old defeated, broken & accepting-death boy is gone now! he’ll have to show her how much he wants her!  That’s the key word: “ it is crazy how much I want her” ~ the boy who thought he deserved nothing but death is now actively wanting the best girl in all anime! Miss. Tohru Honda. My girl!

Side Notes:

I appreciate the personal privacy theme in furuba: no one knows the details of any couples fights or loves except them. Hatori/kana, hatori/mayoko: except shigre the matchmaker!, tohru/kyo: except yuki heard by chance & neither tohru nor kyo talked abt their fight to anybody, but everybody knows those two fools in love, XD. Yuki/machi: kyo didnt even know yuki is thinking of someone. but then again, I dont know if machi herself knows yet. shigure/akito: ok, I’ll skip this one until I’m confident I can express/ understand it. lol

Kyo’s face as he left his dad’s house! the determination! so proud of him!! but kyo’s I’m-so-crazily-in-love face is kyo’s best face, tho. The tenderness!

Yuki’s outfit today is his best outfit! Also, if blushing yuki is yuki’s default face in his romantic time with machi! then it is so refreshing! altho, i think machi is the blusher. lol. I duno, they both blush? maybe he’s similar to how haru is? I guess, we’ll know next ep! =D

Question: what was the joke in haru’s scene abt entering the house when yuki hit him & said so crass? I dont get it..... lol

Shigure was allowed to use his old jokes abt wrecking his house. I missed those! XD

Furuba’s voice-overs are always badly implemented. Now we have two voice overs of yuki with the same content exactly: one in the ep opener & one near the end. why couldn’t one be enough? Why repeat the same speech twice? this reduces its value & hinders the animation dynamics.

lysander - Yesterday at 10:36 PM LSHDKA DSCREAMS AT U god where to i start ok well. basically its supposed to be like this coming of age new adult type thing extremely loosely based on the story of siddartha gautama which i didnt even like do on purpose i just realizes it was similar

but alex in this au goes by kreutzer (its his alias in lots of aus also his middle name) and he is the prince of a country called koel which basically occupies modern day mongolia and korea

the premise is that his mother the queen was assassinated and he is next in line for the throne but another assassination attempt is made on him during the ceremony and his personal servant rescues him in the nick of time

turns out the entire court was conspiring to overthrow the monarchy

so kreutzer is forced to abscond with his servant or the rebels will find and kill him the servant takes him to a traveling circus he has connections to, so he csn b safe and literally everyone in the circus is some kind of fugitive or criminal! which is fun bc at this point early on in the story kreutzer is extremely... black n white thinking.. judgmental... like javert from les mis bc when he was living at the palace he was extremely sheltered and overprotected by the queen who he loved dearly but the queen was also a tyrant he never had any knowledge of this bc his mother taught him that might makes right and that criminals are criminals and should be shown no mercy lest theyll bend every rule until it breaks so now hes living w a bunch of criminals and hes forced to come to terms not only w his inflexible world view but like... the fact that these people are people and not just dirty criminals

that life threw shit at them and they turned to crime to survive or otherwise wwre fucked over by circumstances and slowly he becomes like more aware of his own privilege and more understanding and also. he becomes aware of his mothers tyranny too that ones a tough pill to swallow for him bc likw i have it set in the book to where he turns himself in to save one of the circus performers he comes to think of as a little brother (this is a long and involved thing i can explain also) and the coup leaders torture him and present him in essentially kangaroo court and hold hearings against his mother where victims of the queens tyranny tell them what happened to them bc of her and force him to listen (: theres an underlying theme of what should one do when faced w oppression whether its being oppressed or being the oppressor i unintentionally made it super political which i swear wasnt my intention i just plugged my ocs in and oh lain is a shitty queen

her sister is lilya who is a fire mage along with  alex's servant (alan/calisto) who is... hell bent  on revenge bc mages and magic users were basically persecuted to shit n back lydia is very pacifistic but maybe TOO passive while lilya is... shes action but she can be blinded by her own anger anyway fun side fact but alan was supposed to assassinate alex/kreu but the idiot falls in love w him as in all aus and fucking betrays everyone on his side for alexs sake bc loving alex is like the first thing hes ever felt strongly abt he just kinda went along w the training and the coup leaders plans to infiltrate the royal court he didnt really.. feel strongly abt it despite everything but he found a purpose and hes ... doing some shitty shit to ppl who trusted him LOL helping the prince escape instead of killing him like he was supposed to anyway alan dies bc obviously his side is fucking pissed at him and not well either the hearings and torture totally break alex but lilya who's overseeing the mock trial is like something... isnt right she thought she was waiting for the day shed be able to witness the royal bloodline dying forever but after reconvening w her sister and talking about how alex had been staying with her all this time (there is a huge argument) lilya thinks this guy is innocent. he cant be blamed for the wrongs of his mother and decides to rescue him its loaded bc i think lilya was actually responsible for lains death so heres your mothers killer rescuing you but also your mother killed her family indirectly and u cant do anything abt it alex! lysander - Yesterday at 11:00 PM at this point they go back to the circus and hide out of the country for a while until the rebellions govt starrs taking a turn for the worse it reminds me of like how communist revolutions were started bc the proletariat had legitimate issues with the upper class but then like they go to the extreme(edited) and start literally culling innocent middle class people thats basically what happens and that's... also not right! so alex gathers up his own force feels like its his responsibility to right the wrongs of his mother and he takes back the country w his own force but instead of reinstating the monarchy he puts the sisters in charge in a newly instated democracy or something basically moral of the story is that people arent perfect but everyone has a reason for doing what they do and i want to address that like that democracy will not be perfect either bc blah blah quote some old white guy "if all men were angels we wouldnt need govt" or something but its a step in the right direction rather honestly it was mostly supposed to be oc angst fest but it turned into political commentary over the yrs BUT i didnt touch on a few good side stories that happen before the novel god how does Alex even react to lilya fufk thats so fucking loaded shes your moms killer your mom was also a killer shes also lydias only family and youve grown close to lydia over the time youve spent at the circus she also rescued you but she still killed your mother who you still love so much how does he even. reconcile those feelings esp the part where his beloved mother was hated and also hurt so many people its so hard to accept that both those things arent mutuallt exclusive ofc its so easy to decide you hate someone and denounce them but i dont want to write abt that thats not interesting esp since my issue w everything these days is that people cant seem to reconcile ppls good and bad parts like theyre all only one or the other when the reality everyone is varying amounts of both holds my head lain isnt a good person but her reasons for being terrible... ultimately were borne from something VERY real and VERY understandable anyway this is: morally ambiguous ocs the novel
