I want to talk about something real today. Something that I think a lot of us go through but don’t always talk about.

✒️..You ever feel… lost? Like, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t figure out where you’re supposed to go, or who you’re supposed to be? Like you’re stuck in this endless loop of feeling not good enough, not smart enough, not anything enough?

I’ve been there.

And I want to share my story—not because I’ve got everything figured out (I definitely don’t), but because maybe my experience can help someone else feel a little less alone.

Growing Up with Big Dreams

Growing up, I was that kid. Curious about everything, constantly reading, always asking questions. I loved learning. I loved dreaming. My parents encouraged me in every way they could—books, art, even challenging me with random exams that were way above my level. Because of them, I felt like I could do anything. Like the world was wide open, just waiting for me to take my place in it. (they are toxic I won't lie especially in the term of getting good grades)

But life has a way of shaking things up, doesn’t it?

When I started middle school, everything changed.

When Everything Fell Apart

Middle school was… the hardest time of my life. I’m not exaggerating when I say those years broke me in ways I didn’t think were possible.I was bullied—constantly. Nasty comments, rumors, people talking about me behind my back. It even got physical sometimes—from my best friends MY FRIENDS that I think they will always be by my side but malheureusement they were just slaves for the bullies anyway.. And you know what? At first, I thought I could handle it. But the thing about bullying is that it creeps in, little by little, until one day you realize it’s taken over your entire life.

I didn’t recognize myself anymore.I became bitter, angry, and mean. I lashed out at people because I didn’t know what else to do. And at the same time, I was desperate to fit in, so I started copying the people who hurt me—adopting their behavior, their mannerisms—just so they’d accept me

But it didn’t work.!!!Instead, I just felt… empty. Like everything that made me me was gone.

Hitting Rock Bottom

By 14, I was at my lowest point. My grades were trash, my friendships felt fake, and I didn’t even want to look at myself in the mirror because I hated what I saw.I started staying up until 3 or 4 in the morning just crying .I shut myself off from everyone. And, at my worst, I started self-harming.

I felt like there was no way out.And then one day, I came home from school it was an 8 april 2023 7pm threw my bag on the floor, and climbed onto the ledge of the house roof I just wanted it to stop. The pain, the loneliness, the feeling that I’d never be enough. I was ready to give up.

But then… I looked up.

The Moment That Changed Everything

The sky was gorgeous that day. It was one of those sunsets where the colors just don’t make sense—soft pinks fading into oranges and purples, with clouds that looked like they’d been painted on.

And for the first time in a long time, I felt something.

It reminded me of all the things I used to love—the watercolor / pastel paintings I used to paint in my ipad and put it as a lock screen lmao , the books I used to read, the way my parents would encourage me to dream bigger, be curious explore the world my favs music artists (I'm a wizone,stay,dive, engene if anyone want to know hehe)

It hit me: I wasn’t ready to let go of all of that. I wasn’t ready to let go of me I was too young for this

So, instead of stepping forward, I sat down. Right there on the ledge, legs crossed, staring at the sky as the colors changed.

That small step—sitting down—was the single most extraordinary step I’ve ever taken.

Rebuilding Myself

That moment didn’t fix everything. Life doesn’t work like that. But it was the start of something.It reminded me that even when I felt broken, the core of who I was—the curious, creative, passionate version of me—was still there.I started making changes. Little ones, at first. Letting go of toxic friendships. Focusing on the things that made me happy, like reading , listening to music and writing.

And then came high school. High school was my first real fresh start.

It was a place where I could make new friends, try new things, and leave the past behind me. It was a chance to reinvent myself.

And I did. I created a Tumblr account later in the last days of November 2023 as a sort of diary—a safe space where I could share my thoughts, help others who felt lost like I did, and find comfort in the small, everyday moments. It became my little corner of the world, where I could be myself and help others feel better and be the best version of themselves

It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t quick. But slowly, I started to feel like me again.

What I Learned

Here’s what I’ve learned through all of this:

1. Your Compass Is Never Broken.

No matter how lost you feel, the good in you—the things that make you you—never go away. They’re always there, waiting for you to see them again.

2. You Can Choose Your Environment.

You don’t have to stay in toxic spaces. You deserve to be around people who lift you up, who make you feel valued and loved.

3. Small Steps Matter.

Sometimes, the smallest actions—sitting down, looking at the sky, talking to a friend—can change everything. Don’t underestimate them.

To Anyone Who Feels Lost

If you’re reading this and you’re struggling, I need you to hear me: You are not alone.I know it feels like things will never get better, but I promise you, they can. The pain you’re feeling right now doesn’t define you.You have so much to offer this world. You have so much good inside of you. And even if it feels like your compass is cracked and empty, the needle—your essence—is still pointing north.So, take a deep breath. Look for the little things that remind you of who you are. And don’t be afraid to ask for help.Because you are so much stronger than you think.

Hiiii, I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I always enjoy hearing your opinions on things so figured I’d ask, do you ever consider delving more into submissive Miles in your writing? 

I’ve noticed with Milex fics with that kind of D/S dynamic that it’s almost exclusively dom!miles, I’ve even noticed on the odd fic where the typical roles are reversed you’ll get comments like “can’t believe you made Alex top, he’d never do that!!!”, which (ignoring the fact we obviously don’t know these people so what they would/wouldn’t do is entirely up to the author and what they want lol) kinda annoys me because I’ve often been enticed by a reverse in that dynamic and I think it’s entirely plausible (and very hot hehe). I appreciate how in your own writing that they both occasionally switch because I think that’s way more common than just designated roles, yet this fandom as a whole can seem very set in their ways sometimes. I’m really not trying to start shit with that last comment haha, I just think it’s interesting that oftentimes when I’ve seen people write something outside of the status quo there’ll be comments being like “no, that’s not right!”. 

I used to read and write d/s Milex fics over on wattpad and found it interesting that they seemed to go down pretty well over there compared to how I’ve seen others here or ao3. I wondered if it was because wattpad as an app seemed to be filled with fans who preferred to read Alex in a more dominant role, compared to elsewhere, but I definitely felt more comfortable sharing my (since deleted) works over there.  

Like I say, I’m not trying to yuck anyone’s yum, I understand people have preferences, I just think it’s interesting how there oftentimes isn’t much wriggle room for straying outside the more typical dynamic and I wonder why that is? Could it be a case of new people not wanting to be an outlier if they also saw comments like I did, or just that existing fics can often have the same themes/dynamics so people interpret that as being closer to canon* since it’s the most common? Or am I way overanalysing and more people just prefer sub!Alex? Who knows, but I’d be interested in your thoughts if you have any! 😅 

*Ive been in a fandom before where I’ve seen people literally hating an actual person for something awful they said to someone else, just for it to transpire that the thing they were so angrily spreading hadn’t actually happened and was made up for a popular fanfic lol so I can see how that could happen

sorry this is a mad late response. i've been thinking about it ever since you asked so i'll try to hit some of your points.

after sitf and kane's clobber are done, i really don't see myself writing more milex in general. sitf specifically explores a lot that i wanted to do with those characters, especially regarding what you're asking about. the final chapters put a nail and a bow on some of how their kink dynamic came to be over the span of twenty years. and i'm pretty satisfied with how i explored that quality of their relationship. kinda can't shake the canon i've built there. so idk if there will be another means to explore it with any kind of depth. especially since i don't really write one shots. and this was the most i've written about kink and sex for fandom ever. and i don't like writing the same subject twice? so idk idk. totally possible that i could write something specific to a Sub miles. but i don't have anything in mind.

as far as the general premise of your ask. in my own experiences as a "kinky fuck," very few people are purely one thing. still, i know there is great reason to write alex as a sub and/or bottom. it's an understandable conclusion or presumption given his pretty blatant intrigue by D/s dynamics. not gonna dig all that deep into his lyrics and stage behavior very much because that horse has been beaten like bongos.

but i still have similar hangups as you. genuine surprise at how little subby or bottom miles there is. there are several moments during the TLSP tour where alex is displaying "dominant" behavior and miles is submissive. i'm immediately thinking of how often he pushes and miles around to put him where he wants. and specifically, there's a moment or three where he grips miles' hair pretty tight and miles is immediately relenting. and don't get me started on alex bridal carrying him away lmaooooo. probably a dozen other moments like that if i had the brain capacity to list them. in general though, alex has always read bratty switch to me lmaooooo takes one to know one. but i'm probably projecting.

that's all to say, miles is (to me) so clearly versatile. he plays both sides of that fence. i don't think he is as bratty or needy, so maybe it isn't as typical for people to notice, but he definitely wants to be a little princess or pet. at least, it seems obvious To Me.

anyway, what you're talking about isn't unique to the milex fandom. almost every fandom i've been in selects roles for their relationship dynamic and goes from there. whether that be top and bottom or dom and sub. also, much of people's understanding of top and bottom and vers and switch and dom and sub all get conflated for a multitude of reasons. so that already makes things wonky.

so given alex's displays as well as the smallness of the fandom, there are only so many writers to write so many flavors. sometimes it feels like miles is being used more as a delivery system to illustrate alex's proclivities than having actual dimensions. but then again, that is pretty common across all fandoms. that is unfortunately how the cookie crumbles.

i personally don't read very much milex anymore, and i never really reach for purely smut fics (which i know sounds wild because sitf certainly has its fair share), but i will always be interested in a submissive miles. if it's executed in the way that would tickle my fancy. i personally don't have interest in daddy!alex, and that was my impression of most dom!alex fics when i first came to the fandom. namely on the x reader side. i haven't really gone back to exploring those waters. but yeah i'd love to read a good fic of alex putting miles on his knees. haha.

regarding people commenting that they don't think a certain character should be written a certain way... HA. bruh. i got an anon once that was like "can you tag bottom!miles because i don't like that and it pulls me out of the story but i wanna keep reading can you put it in your CW" or something along that line. i didn't even respond. if the sex position i wrote the character in ruins the story for you, then i don't want you to reading my fucking story anyway. so shoo. lmao like be fucking forreal. if it matters to you that much, fine. go read a story that is tagged. me? i'll never tag my fics with that. i know sitf is sex-heavy, and i do write the smut in detail... but given the effort i put into all the other parts of the story, you can literally fuck off if you're just scrolling it for the smut. i mean, do what you want, but don't complain to me if i put miles in panties and have alex lay his little ass out.

AND EVEN IF IT WAS JUST ABOUT SEX, YOU CAN LITERALLY GO READ ANYTHING ELSE. ANYTHING. like how dare you come to me like "your story would be better if they switched roles and holes" please get a fucking grip. or at least have the couth not to say it to someone.

anyway, i hope this speaks to the stuff you're asking about! it's totally legit. when i first started around here, i remember not thinking it was such a "problem" for lack of a better word, but now i'm a few years in and... yeah, let's say i stopped being active for reasons related to your criticism.

Well I’d definitely like to do a long fic for it! I’ve been playing with some scenes from the second movie now and then— some things just are not going to work with the differences with powers and things, but some things I can totally do. So I’ll definitely do those :)

Four and his powers is one of the things I’m messing with actually, I’ve been working on figuring out how things go with the scene with him and the raccoon... that isn’t a raccoon. Hehe. I’ll share some of it actually, I’ve been having a lot fun with it.

Something rattled outside.

Four’s head jerked up at the noise, not sure at first whether he’d imagined it, or it had just come from the TV. But when he heard it again, he crept quietly over to the patio door, and peeked outside from around the corner. He scanned the yard with a furrowed brow, and focused in on where the trash can was, another rattle coming from its direction.

Four squinted, then breathed in sharply as a head poked up from it, a bit of trash on the figure’s head.

Someone was out there messing with their trash.

What if he comes in here? Four thought frantically, watching as the figure moved to the next one, another rattle reaching his ears. Nobody else is awake, it’s just me, what if he tries to hurt us like Dark—

Four clutched at his chest, heart pounding rapidly as memories of his brief kidnapping tore through his mind.

No, no, I have to stay calm, I can’t let him win. It’s... it’s just like the show on TV, he realized abruptly, looking out at the thief again. He’s trying to take our trash and break in, maybe steal something! Or, or hurt us!

Well I won’t let him!

Four took a deep breath, slipping towards the door on silent feet. Part of his brain was yelling at him that was a really stupid idea as he slid the door open, but Four ignored it, and took a deep breath as he marched up to the trash cans.

“Hey you!” he said with as much authority as he could muster, though he kept his voice quiet in order not to wake his family. “What do you think you’re doing?! Go away!”

The head poked back up from the can, shadowy and indistinct. Four tried to make out features, but all he could make out was shadows, and the impression of somebody in the can. The figure leaned forward, and Four suddenly got the feeling he was being sized up.

Then he heard a snort.

And a cackling laugh.

“Oh yeah?” he—it sounded like a he—laughed, face becoming a little more distinct. It looked sort of familiar. “And who’s gonna make me? You?”

“That’s right,” Four said firmly, and the shadowy boy’s laughter got louder. “Stop laughing!”

“Why should I?” he drawled, leaning out and looking at Four with bright red eyes.

Four froze at the sight of them, reminded again of Dark, but the old fear changed into anger when the boy laughed again at his silence.

“That’s what I thought. Go back in your dumb fancy mansion and let me eat my dinner in peace, pipsqueak,” he scoffed, and Four’s anger swelled.

“No! Go away!” he hissed, but the boy made no move to budge.

“I can’t hear you~” the shadowy boy mocked, picking a drumstick out of the trash and nibbling on it. Then he grimaced and threw it at Four’s face.

It hit Four with a small smack, and his fists shook as some kind of gross something dripped down his face, the anger he’d been trying to pack away swelling in full-force. The shadowy boy let out another mocking laugh, and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

All of the emotions and anger and worry for his mom and his brothers and his family’s whole situation all condensed into a tight, hot ball in Four’s chest, one that felt achingly familiar. He glared at the other boy, emotions churning in his mind, and felt something in him snap.

“I said LEAVE!”

And as Four leapt at the intruder, a multicolored light flashed around him, one that faded just in time for the shadowy figure to see four identical boys falling straight towards him.

you just nod because that went so much better than expected and he leaves you bounce on your heels to get rid of some of your nerves while he goes back into his apartment

he comes back and he’s got a few little packets in hand and a grin on his face, “found some, figured i’d give them all over, not much of a baker.”

you thank him ofc and offer to bring him some treats when you’re done

his eyes crinkle when he smiles, “depends on what you’re makin”

when you make them and bring some back over to share he insists on a little bit of a trade

he explains he enjoys doing some artsy stuff and gives you a tiny little pin he’s made with a little shrug (it’s a little ladybug), “fo’ your bag or somethin’”

of course you put it on your jacket

whenever you two cross paths and you’ve got his pin on he loves to flick it with a finger and asks where you got it with a smug little look on his face

you two have got a comfortable little bartering system going of food and art (ok but imagine hobie loving the idea of you using your confections as “tickets” to your own private concert)

he’s got a horrible singing voice (he knows it, it’s also canon) but he still loves to hum along when he plays, and he insists you join in, no matter how horrible you are (he will poke fun at you however. cant stop him.)

he trys to teach you guitar and all the instruments he knows

in return you try teaching him how to bake

he gets annoyed by how everything has to be “just so” with baking, but absolutely loves decorating!

he loves picking the colors for frosting hehe

Anyways…oh Verdigris, I’ve come up with so many extra bits and pieces to her lore in the past month or so and I didn’t really get to talk about her in the first place, so I’m glad that someone’s interested (this is gonna be so long, I can feel it)

First things first, we’ll get the big thing out of the way: her arcane skill. Kind of a big part of her story is how she is a “plant whisperer”, which means that she’s able to hear the voices of plants and therefore communicate with them. This made her form a prominent sense of empathy for plants, as they are unheard by everyone except her.

(Now, a lot of the things I’ll mention about Verdigris will make a lot more sense)

So a fun little fact is that plants have a “way of speaking” that sounds more poetic than your normal speech, since they’re just describing things based off of what they know from nature. And because of her arcane skill, Verdigris does talk like them a little (which just comes off as being poetic/dramatic). Another thing that comes with this “way of speaking” are “Titles of the Plants”, which is the thing that you remind the plants of, that they therefore refer to you by (Vertin is “The Wandering Wind”, Sonetto is “The Shade in Daylight”, etc).

Why am I mentioning this? Well but of course it’s for yuri reasons! Because this is the perfect way for Verdigris to subtly and sapphic-ly pine for a certain arcanist by the title: Ray of Sun (and who this refers to is not disclosed). She mentions this “Ray of Sun” quite frequently in her diary, which I’d imagine could be one of those pages of text you can find between stages, as well as in her intimacy voiceline (which I haven’t written, but we can imagine, okay).

Anywho…when it comes to interacting with other arcanists, Verdigris is very much the most likeable out of my three ocs here (she’s just a cinnamon roll, not toxic or hard to communicate with). So she gets along with basically everyone in the suitcase. Chaotic or calm, she’s patient enough to talk to them. Tho she’s the closest with Lilya I’d say, since they’re bonding over a shared language/heritage and shut up, it’s adorable. Especially since Verdigris didn’t have anyone to speak Russian to for a long time (she lived in Spain, that’s why) and Russian was her mother’s language (she never got to meet her, so it holds special significance to her (things are getting angsty haha)). This problem was the whole reason she created her own critters actually. But hey, now she has someone and the vibes are good again.

As for their dynamic, it’s obvious that they have a “balancing each other out” situation, and I like to call it “Lilya and her designated driver” as a joke. But truthfully, Verdigris is surprisingly down with most of her shenanigans and no one understands why. Lilya kinda just wants to show Verdigris all the “fun stuff” she usually does, and she just goes along with it while some of the other arcanists watch them in horror (they’re just having a good time tho). When Verdigris is busy, Lilya would go visit her workshop to see what she’s doing like: "What you making, Verdie?:]" (she finds it interesting).

Considering what she does, I feel like Verdigris would probably be crossing paths with Medpoc kinda often as well (hehe). Verdigris just isn’t super affected by Medpoc’s hostility, and still treats them very well after getting yelled at. Once they warm up to her tho, she kinda becomes their emotional support (aka the person they rant to while she hands them a cookie or smth), and they’d pass out together while working across from each other, since neither of them remember to sleep (or do anything else).

I also think that she could help Shamane repair and/or upgrade his mechanical arm (since that’s kinda her specialty), and in turn gain a new father figure. Shamane would definitely like her Dendrogues and greet them when he sees them hopping around as well.

Some honourable mentions are the other calm healers (Dikke and Tooth Fairy). Dikke would grow fond of Verdigris for how fair and thoughtful is, but she'd tell her to not be so tolerant of everything. As for her and Tooth Fairy’s situation, they actually have pretty similar vibes, so they’d probably do some somewhat questionable things together that aren’t so questionable if they’re doing it, like baking together (there’s definitely no tooth fairies in the muffins they’re making, don’t question the taste of plums) and going out into the forest to look for teeth.

Oh right! Verdigris also has a small interaction with Pristine after implanting the new heart she made for her, since Pristine’s original heart (crystal) is the thing that makes her body possessable to Arcana (there’s some context from this post that is needed to understand what I’m talking about). This is a big plot point in Pristine’s story, so guess who’s growing attached to Verdigris. Yeah, she kinda just follows her around whenever she sees her from there on out, maybe even tugs on her sleeve saying “Where art thou headed to? Let me go with thee!” (Welcome to motherhood, Verdigris!)

Hiiii, Ard! thanks for being interested in my opinion xD I'll start with THE question hehe

10. OTP Who could that be...? 🤔😅 I'm going to use this opportunity to finally make a verbal statement about why i love my otp so much. I started watching Naruto as an experiment in 2022 (at the ripe age of 28) and the land of waves arc got to me: Haku's death (and the way Zabuza used him -yes, i have beef with that guy) got my empathy involved, and Kakashi-sensei charmed me by being incredibly cool AND mysterious. The mysterious part about the origin of his sharingan intrigued me the most: what do you mean "a friend gave it to him"??? who is this friend? where is he? are they still friends? All those questions needed answers. So i learned about Obito Uchiha (mostly through fanart). Then i cried my eyes out watching Kakashi Gaiden and stalled the war arc as long as i could because i knew what was going to happen, and by then i’d already fallen in love with them beyond reason.

Before anything else, this ship is so powerful because separately Kakashi and Obito are incredibly well-written characters. Yes, they complete each other and share their arc till the end, but nevertheless, each of them is autonomous, believable, complex, and deep. They are both the main dish. So the dynamic, the bond they establish between them feels true and natural. One has this sunshine personality, is kind, caring, tenderhearted, and fun; the other has too much to deal with for his age: being a genius will mess with your pride and sense of worth, but not with your tiny, pure, brave heart. Kid Obito and kid Kakashi are so precious, you wanna shield them from everything that is wrong with the world. And then tragedy №1 and tragedy №2 happen that push these two boys to realize they were supposed to be each other’s lifeline. Obito got a head start over Kakashi though. When Kakashi finally sees Obito for who he really is, the sacrifice is already made, leaving Kakashi attached to his lifeline that goes nowhere. 

Tragedy №3 crushes their souls one more time and marks the beginning of the horrendous paths they take: Kakashi drowning himself in guilt and the violence of ANBU missions; Obito being groomed, brainwashed and manipulated into a gruesome conspiracy that perverted his ideals. And despite everything that happens next, they still hold on to their lifeline (the shared sharingan serving as the visualization). They are loyal to each other in their own ways. Kakashi lets his memory of Obito guide him and help him live, while Obito never seeks vengeance or takes the eye back. He even goes beyond imaginable and saves Kakashi’s life one last time. 

They were written to be tragic, but they were also meant to be special. If only Kishimoto had more sympathy and allowed Obito another chance. Those two precious boys could start all over. And this time, post war, their respect, longing, sorrow, adoration, grief, regrets, hopes would be shared, and the love that had struggled to grow for so long would finally be in full blossom.

3. Favorite villain

(No worries, sweet anon, i don’t consider Obito a villain xD) The key villains like Madara or Danzo remind me of middle-aged men who get hung up on conspiracy theories and start believing that they have the world figured out. So they are more annoying than scary to me. And a villain should be frightening, i think. In the ninja world this would be Orochimaru. He’s an egomaniac, a sensible madman, who is deceitful, merciless, and cruel. We were shown such atrocities, so much abuse, torture, and physical pain inflicted on innocent people. And for what? I’m not sure i fully understand his motives: was it out of fear of death? Or is this just him doing what he loves? He IS the worst, and yet, by the end of shippuden he turns into a comedy bit?! Seriously?! This is all kinds of wrong xD But the facts remain, he is a good villain, creepy and scary.

ino the way this au could be everything to me. it’s so fucking good. okok so i think there are a few parallels between some characters so i will point to those but also make some up for myself hehe.

barty has obvious wolfgang energy as you’ve already pointed out. so so smart but he uses it for evil. they are the same. he’s a criminal who is great at picking locks and street fighting, staying cool in high stress situations.

and the opportunities for bartylily here are SO RIPE with lily as a kala-like character. she and her family have expectations for her but DAMN that criminal is hot as fuck. i could definitely see her as a chemist building bombs and shit.

ok and reg is very sun to me. because of the corrupt black family, and he’s kinda running the show but he’s also the scapegoat and sacrificial lamb figure. so yeah let him be a badass underground mma mastermind too. but he’s also very levelheaded and meticulous so he’s bringing that to the table.

then there’s evan. who is a doctor to me. so he’s bringing precision and knowledge of the body. which helps in knowing how to patch people up but also how to incapacitate quickly. i think he does a lot of the dirty work with barty and they make a good if not unlikely team.

dorcas my love. she’s a model probably and kinda has the fame going a little like lito. i think she is extremely confident and direct and even manipulative because she can read people so well. she can get into anywhere just by bullshitting and being pretty.

marlene is here too in my mind. i kinda see her as a small town farm hand or something like that. she’s so handy and can build almost anything from scraps. this is about to sound so funny but like if you’ve seen the lego movie she’s like that. can scan a room and identify anything as useful and make due with whatever’s around her. she and dorcas want to kiss so bad.

james is such a will figure. like the glue of the group. he’s a firefighter (because i’d never make him a cop) and a devoted public servant. he’s super strong and he can hold his breath for a long time (idk if this is something firefighters can do. but it seems like it should be)

and my last little guy will be remus. he’s a professor of renaissance art at a prestigious university BUT in his youth he was an expert forger of any an all things. he’s left that life behind of course. but he still gets a thrill from making things for himself from time to time. he has a photographic memory too. just for fun.

as for servers, i'm not hugely active on discord at all- just doesn't ping with me. but there are a few active servers that i'm aware of. The only ME one i'm in regularly 'cause that's where my chums are is Beef, Bacon, and Beer- a Kaidan (but also, just generally ME and no harshing the mellow about other characters) fan server, really well run and modded. We've got several people who are versed in real world stuff and are great resources for little authentic tidbits for fic hehe

There's Hatboy, which is oriented on Joker and his relationships, romantic and otherwise. The only other one i'm in is MEFFW (mass effect fan fiction writers) which is generally less "ship" focused, also well run but bigger. there's a few others, Big Place and Dragon Effect (both DA and ME) and there was an Ashley focused one, but i don't have links for those :D

i dont know if you were asked this before, sorry if i am bothering you! Do you have any writing tips? I don't have anything specific but just any in general. I really admire your work!

you're so sweet!! i feel like i'm the last person who should be giving writing advice as i just blindly go into a brainrot induced stupor and spout off into docs as if i'm screaming into the void-- i have been asked this before but it's no trouble to copy it!! <3

a biggie take your time finding your style- as you can see on my masterlist i have a looot of shit on there from years of writing fanfic and experimenting. getting out of my comfort zone can be kinda hard for me personally, but with writing it was so worth it bc you can really see a metamorphosis there of when i was writing just to write and when i was writing with a drive.

don’t be afraid to ignore the rules of grammar. run on sentences are beautiful. i’ve found that especially so when the plot is driven by someone’s stream of consciousness as though they’re narrating it. thoughts are messy, they’re long and sometimes awkward and there’s no such thing as grammar in your mind !! of course spelling and punctuation are important and i’d recommend editing tho (idk her 😳) but get creative with it!!

thesaurus.com is my bestie 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 i often find myself using a lot of the same words and i don’t want to bore readers with repetitiveness! and also it’s just an easy way to expand my vocabulary too. (in person i stammer and have the reach of a fourth grader lmfao so i always want my writing to be concise and make the reader feel exactly what i want them to with my language)

also something i’ve started doing recently !! when i’m away from my wip and daydream about it, i write it down right away! in my notes app or on sticky notes or even my hand hehe. sure if it’s a significant enough plot point i’ll probably remember… but there’s no time like the present!! i want A to look at B a little differently in that one quick scene? i want to make them eat something different for foreshadowing? little details like that can be huge in your writing !! something a reader might gloss over but then realize later it was all a part of a greater scheme?? yes. so take note of those thoughts and daydreams you have !! even if you don’t end up adding it to your work, it’s better than having a profound, fic changing idea that you forget before you get the chance to write it!

this one is simple but a biggie- think about what you would want to read. i’ve been trying to keep this in mind as of late, especially when writing longer pieces where i want to make y’all suffer. find new ways to build the tension in your plot. give us different points of view, give us an untrustworthy narrator that thinks they’ve got it all figured out. throw in extra conflict. fanfiction is the melting pot of whatever the fuck you want !! so go stupid go crazy and make it something you love, and you should be good to go!! not to be cheesy but as long as you love it then you’re solid. doing something you love over and over will naturally lead you through growth and finding your style. don’t be wrapped up in notes right away (yes it can be a bit of an issue on this app- but none of has have control over how people enjoy your work- so you might as well focus on enjoying it for yourself) because as long as you’re doing something you’re passionate about and sharing it with us, more people will soon flock to enjoy it with you <3

lastly i just enjoy making mini playlists for whatever i’m currently working on. they don’t have to correlate completely with your plot. sometimes the sound of a beat is good enough for me to throw it on. if it gets me excited and planning out scenes i haven’t gotten to yet then it’s good enough for me!! i will listen to the same song on repeat in the name of ✨vibes✨ even if the words themselves have nothing to do with the plot i’m writing. that’s probably lazy basic advice but it works well for me and i love listening to music so !!

hopefully the copying of a previous ask isn't annoying and ya find this helpful! just my thoughts and processes tho, you gotta find a style that's best for you! and remember its a hobby. if you get stressed take a break and come back later! you're on your own schedule, and you don't owe anyone anything, so just have fun!

what i like the most about him is how caring and kind he is. even if tenn acts cold and has a sharp tongue at times, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for those he loves 🥺 i always make sure to tell him and spoil him bc he deserves to be cared for <3

Ok but YUKI IDEAS ok so I’m not as passionate about yukimiya as some other characters (as I’m sure you’re aware LOL) so I’m not fully sure how hit or miss these are gonna be BUT I’m going to kinda categorize them by setting (??) or broad topic for convenience:

ok so there’s obviously some of the more cliche ones like where y/n is also a model and they collab and whatnot but I DO think that sort of au/universe has potential…? In the sense of the fic revolving more around Yuki’s career as a model so I’ll section this

MODEL CAREER:

- y/n is yuki’s manager, I can think of this also having many different ways to start but I’ll list out what first comes to mind: 1) childhood friends, y/n is with him when he first gets scouted and is the one who kinda encourages him to go for it, even just for fun. Like I imagine yuki contemplating it since he plays soccer obviously and has eye issues if he should take the job or whatever, but in exchange for him try he’s like “ok well I’m not doing this shit alone I’m dragging you with me so surprise you need to be my manager” (idk how realistic this is but shhhhhhh) 2) I’m realizing this entire setting is slightly difficult in a high school setting oops so I guess they can be in college..? But let’s just say they met in college and yuki’s like ugh my last manager was stealing my commission profits or something and is like cycling through managers like “damn they all SUCK and want my money or are trying to take advantage of the job” kinda and y/n is just like ok let me do it 3) y/n and yuki have no previous ties and y/n is just hired as his manager (maybe she’s an intern at his agency) after he gets scouted and they kinda just have to figure it out like “lmao we’re just finishing hs and have no idea how to do this shit” maybe because of their inexperience they get into a dating scandal LMAO

- Y/n dreams of being in the fashion industry and is kicking off her career by creating clothes and is now trying to form a sort of agency/company/brand to manufacture and advertise her fashion line. Obviously, her brand is gonna need some models/ambassadors to wear her clothing!! So, newbie y/n whose fresh in the industry is desperately looking for models to recruit to work with and stumbles upon yukimiya (I’d imagine at this point that he’s already an established model) I can imagine this going a few ways: 1. He refuses at first but y/n keeps hunting him down and asking (begging) him to join (maybe y/n is from a loaded family who disapproves of this career but has enough pocket money to fund her things and tries to increase her offer but yukimiya, who canonical does not care much for money, is like idc abt money LMAO), but maybe at some point y/n idk saves him from paparazzi or something or defamation and he’s like well I’m indebted to you so sure I’ll model and that’s how things kick off 2. This is a lot more meet cute like, but like most artists just starting out, I bet y/n is sleep deprived and lives in a coffee shop downing coffee while working on designs and company things and in her chaotic mess she rushes to stand up and spills coffee onto yukimiya, she offers him a free shirt or somthing from her line as an apology and yuki is either like “hey wait this shirt kinda slaps” and offers to model OR y/n goes “wait my b can I take a pic of you wearing my shirt I’ll pay you” but yeah LMAOAOA I just kinda wrote out what came to mind as I typed this so it’s definitely not very refined but if this serves as any form of inspiration go ahead and mold it as you see fit LOLLL

Eyes (duh LMAO):

- ok so this is the only one I can think of right now that maybe isn’t WILDLY cliche but ok so obviously yuki is devastated about his condition and the doctor sends him to a glasses shop (?) he recommends to get his specific prescription glasses and whatnot, let’s say y/n’s family owns this specific shop so every time he goes to get his glasses adjusted and prescription fixed she’s the one usually assisting him and yadayada they get to know each other and whatnot via those meetings, maybe he kinda hates her at first because every time he sees her it’s just a reminder that his vision is failing and that his dream is dying but eventually he warms up somehow

Penguins (ok so this one is kinda crack and formed from me looking through the Bible again because for the life of me I could not think of anything else to explore):

- model yuki’s next photoshoot involves ocean motifs so he goes to an aquarium with his crew to shoot. Ok again, as usually, I have a couple avenues for this too: 1) they have a shoot with the animals so Penguin handler/trainer y/n is in charge of bringing penguins to him to pose with him and whatever and obviously he’s omfg penguins and they start rambling about penguins and hit it off 2) during his visit he sees y/n through the glass feeding the penguins in the exhibit and eventually yuki just keeps coming back to the aquarium in his down time (because he likes penguins or otherwise the world will never know LMAO) and let’s just say they end up interacting somehow while y/n is on shift

Ok well now I wish we had more yukimiya lore (it would be really helpful if we had the LN right about now but actually I think I’ll have access to it in a couple days so I’ll def come back and dump more once we learn more from there….)

I’m NGL halfway through writing all this I was like “erm what am I even thinking” I started with an idea and it kinda just snowballed into this pile so LMAO hopefully this maybe gives you some ideas but admittedly I feel like I’ve had better brainstorming sessions oops…..will return once I get my hands on the novel (with ideas and summaries about the LN LOL)

I remember for fun I translated Hiori’s from scratch and that took way longer than I thought because of all the nuances and just me figuring out how to word things well LMAO maybe I’ll try again for practice though…..or I’ll take out the really important parts to type out but either way will return once that happens

ofc i can’t speak for every writer but at least me personally i feel like i rlly like being able to take requests in my own way?? like the more open ended a request/prompt is the more i’m like 😏 LMAOAO i think all of my longest/favorite requests have just been like character + trope (ex karasu + academic rivals, kaiser + pr relationship, sae + slowly falling in love, etc). so the more loose random thoughts you give me the better because i can use them as a starting point instead of being constrained by them 🤔 if that makes sense lol (not that i mind more specific requests HAHA anything works for me ofc!!)

i used to look up the eggs as soon as i got them just to see what they’d hatch into because some of those eggs were DECEIVING like the prettiest egg for the most mid dragon ever 😭 and omg the elder dragons were so…interesting…dragonvale truly the game of all time

i can’t wait to write more of otoya and y/n they truly are such an insane duo (plus dare i say a tabieitay/n trio may be in the future 😨⁉️) every time i write them interacting it’s like putting their personalities on steroids HAHAH they truly bring out the worst/best in each other

YUP YEARSSS we’re going to see y/n rise to power (in the same way oda nobunaga did) and then we’re also going to see how things end up for her (spoiler: not well, considering who everyone is based off of) so there’s quite a lot to get through!!

POMEGRANATE INK IS TRULY SUCH A RIDE i started it in like 2022 and then it went on hiatus for over a year and then randomly i got so motivated that i wrote over 100k words in a month and finished the whole thing this january??? lmao its comeback is legendary on this blog 😭 honestly i’m also not that into jjk anymore but pomegranate ink specifically is so close to my heart like THAT’S what’s canon to me not whatever gege is up to!! it’s definitely very very long but it really runs the gamut…like angst?? cracky humor?? romance?? platonic/familial bonds?? side characters w plot relevance?? it has all of that plus more (as is to be expected given how long it is 😭) if you ever have the time or are bored it’s definitely one of my fav things i’ve written despite how questionable it is at first plus it has the bonus of being completed so i would 10/10 recommend you read it 👆🏻 if only so you can understand the post i made abt how yukimiya and mrs l/n from pomegranate ink could canonically know one another without making either verse an au.

SPEAKING OF YUKI OMG I LOVE YOUR IDEAS i will def take them into consideration…i agree out of tabieitaken he’s probably the one i’m hyped abt the least?? ironically their names are listed in the order of how much i love them KDJDKS but i’m sure if i ever write him as a main love interest instead of as just a pretty side obstacle my feelings will change v rapidly though!! sometimes writing men that are too much of green flags is like…boring…LMAO karasu is the right mix for me personally where he’s a green flag at heart but not afraid to be sassy when it’s necessary to keep things entertaining and dramatic 😫 like the entirety of fwtkac would not have happened if it was yuki because he’s too mature he’d just communicate w the mc and be like “hey that hurt my feelings when you said that about me so i’d prefer if you didn’t in the future. btw i actually have feelings for you!! 😊” bro 😭 but there def are avenues to getting around that i’ll just have to think abt it a bit before i get to writing!!

the way i already have more ideas for karasu and otoya though…heard the song best friend’s brother for the first time in a WHILE (on tik tok ofc because that app is truly my greatest muse) and maybe because we’ve been talking abt tabieita and their sisters but my mind IMMEDIATELY went to them HAHAHA like imagine being bffs w otoya’s younger sister and knowing exactly what kind of guy he is because she always complains abt him but then you end up falling for him anyways??? or like say karasu’s older sister is only a year or two older than him so you guys are p close in age but you always make fun of him for being a bit younger which makes him feel #mediocre because he’s actually in love w you real not clickbait!!! i thought abt yuki too but he just had to be an only child 😒 or else that trope could honestly work pretty well for him!!

hindi is my mother-tongue, although i’m definitely more comfortable in english. (i think in it !) that wasn’t always the case, though, and i would actually like to improve my hindi.

i’m from uttarakhand ! i’m not sure if i like the state or not - i feel like i don’t know enough about it to have an opinion about that. (another thing i’d like to change) i have spent a considerable part of my life in punjab, too.

okay this is going to be strange but - although i am a bharatnatyam dancer myself, i think my favourite classical dance is still kathak; it’s flowy and mesmerizing and it’s another thing i want to re-learn.

i will say pondicherry but only because my friends and i recently went there together and now it holds many precious memories for me.

diwali because although i hate the fireworks i love everything else - all the lights candles diyas everywhere, people visiting each other simply for the sake of visiting, dressing up to go nowhere, etc. etc.

this is a sikh thing and i’m not even sure if it counts as a tradition/superstition, but i have always loved the concept of langar. (for those who don’t know, it’s basically free meals offered to anyone and everyone at gurudwaras in the name of god) it’s such a simple, kind act and i’m proud of all the times i’ve been able take part in it.

our clothes - they are so, so beautiful.

i honestly have no idea. maybe south korea ? because i have loved performing since i was a child and would have probably tried my luck at being a k-pop idol. then again, the industry sucks, so it’s probably a good thing i’m not korean, anyway.

i have, but only to study abroad, i’d say. i can’t really imagine settling anywhere else, but that may only be because i like dehradun so much hehe.

(nothing falls most of the time, though, but the simple act of it is always fun) also - literally every family function.
