Pika Pika Please - Murata Fuma

summary: taking your boyfriend on a surprise trip to his favourite place...the pokémon centre
genre: fluff
warnings: none
pairing: &team fuma x reader
wc: 1.3k
a/n: happy birthday to our sub-leader and hero, fuma!! can't believe i got to see you perform live twice here in japan♡ being in japan has helped me remember just how much i love my &teamies and hopefully i'll be writing more them soon. also the pictures (except fuma) are mine that i took at one of the pokemon centre here in japan.
also a huge thank you to @hyuukais and @astrae4 for beta reading this!
The late June sun beat down on the busy streets of Tokyo as people went about their day, parasols and iced coffees in hand.
With temperatures of 33°C expected for the whole week, spending the day outside wasn’t exactly ideal. However, today was special—both you and your boyfriend, Fuma, were finally in Tokyo with a rare day off together.
His birthday was at the end of the week. You’d already bought his presents, but you still wanted to treat him to something a little more personal—something that would make him smile. So, you decided on one of his favourite things in the world: Pokémon.
Sure, there were shops all over Tokyo that sold Pokémon merchandise, but nothing quite compared to the Pokémon Centres. Bright, colourful, and packed with every kind of merch imaginable, they were like stepping into another world.
The walls were lined with plushies of all sizes, from palm-sized Pikachus to life-sized Oshawotts. Shelves overflowed with boxes of trading cards, and statues of fan-favourite Pokémon greeted visitors at every corner. You could find everything from snacks and stationery to posters and accessories. For the average fan, it was paradise. For Fuma? It was heaven on earth.
You could spend hours there together, always stumbling across something new or adorable to take home. Your shared apartment was proof of it—the spare room had slowly evolved into a Pokémon shrine. His card collection took up most of the desk space, plushies were stacked neatly on the shelves, and above the guest bed hung a framed poster of all the Eeveelutions. It made him happy—and seeing that always made you happy, too.
————————
“Babe, fancy a little outing today? Just a few quick stops I need to go, and I’ll even grab us a treat on the way home,” you called out to your boyfriend from your bedroom, as he sat at the breakfast bar eating his breakfast.
“Sure—as long as we can get coffee first,” he said, making his classic bargain as usual, a grin evident in his voice. You smiled to yourself, knowing full well he’d still tag along even without the caffeine bribe.
Agreeing to his usual caffeine bribe, you left your boyfriend in charge of ordering the coffee while you finished getting ready. Once it arrived—an iced caramel Frappuccino and a matcha latte—you were both armed and ready to tackle the long list of errands ahead.
Operation errands was a go!
The first of many stops was the post office, where you had to return an impulsive online order—one that seemed like a good idea at the time, but soon realised it was, in fact, not. After a surprisingly short wait, the parcel was on its way. No errand run felt complete without a quick stop at the drugstore to restock sunscreen and lip balm—and maybe splurge a little on a new hair treatment.
With the first two errands already complete, it was time to make your way to the subway station in order to head to the mall to run your bigger errands.
The metro was quiet for the time of day, most people at work or school, which meant that it was easy to find two seats next to each other. Sitting shoulder to shoulder on the quiet train, Fuma pulled out his earphones and placed one gently into your ear before slipping the other into his. Soft music began to play, wrapping the two of you in your own little world as you let your head rest on his shoulder. There was something deeply serene about sharing music in a nearly silent train, travelling through the busy city.
————————
Ikea was the next stop on the list of errands. While Ikea was typically where you bought larger furniture from, today shopping consisted of small items only. You needed to buy some more dish towels because someone — Fuma — burnt the last good ones trying to boil pasta. No knows how he managed it, but you’d long stopped questioning these things. You also loved to buy candles from Ikea, however the last time you were there, you couldn’t decide what candle you wanted so you had to bring Fuma to help.
Ikea shopping trips could last anywhere between 20 minutes to 2 hours. Some days you both had to try out all of the beds while others, you were on a mission to get what you needed and leave. Today was in the middle. While you didn't spend time trying out all of the beds, you spent a reasonable amount of time just smelling the different scented candles. Fuma was set on wanting the meatball scented candle, and while funny, not a scent you wanted in your apartment. However, Fuma said that the bergamot candle you wanted gave him a headache. The pair of you continued to argue over the scent until you both reached for the same lilac candle in a clear glass jar—the colour of wisteria. As soon as you both smelt the candle, you made eye contact and started hitting him lightly on the shoulder.
“This is the same smell as the candle we lit that one night I stayed at yours and there was a power cut,” you rushed out excitedly.
“What? The night in which we played uno by candle light, and you decided to commentate the whole game like it was Formula One?”
It was a moment early into your relationship with Fuma. That night, between laughter and flickering candlelight, something inside you shifted. You knew—without question—that you loved this man with your whole heart. No one else had joined in with such antics before Fuma, but he gave back the same energy as you, commentating on his next moves. Both of you rolling on the floor with laughter by the end of the game.
“Let’s get that one then, shall we babe?” Fuma said, as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder, placing the candle into the bag and guiding you through the rest of the aisles.
————————
It was finally time for the day’s big event. Somehow, Fuma still hadn’t realized you were heading towards his favorite place. It wasn’t until you rounded the corner and faced the store’s entrance that it finally clicked. He glanced at you, and with a silent nod from your side, he practically dragged you inside.
Like a child in a candy shop, his grin stretched from ear to ear as he wandered from shelf to shelf. You quietly grabbed a basket and followed him, watching with a smile as your six-foot-tall boyfriend darted around the Pokémon Center, clearly unsure what to choose. But one thing was certain—he wanted matching plushies. Pikachu and Eevee. When he stopped in front of the plush wall and picked up the two, he looked at you with wide, pleading eyes, silently asking if he could buy them for you. Without a word, you nudged your basket toward him, giving him the go-ahead. He kissed the top of your head as he placed the plushies inside, barely able to hide his excitement.
He made a beeline for the snacks section, scooping up his favourites and waiting for you to catch up with the basket. Once you did, he dropped everything in with practiced ease and headed straight for the Pokémon card shelves, eager to grab the newly released packs. Without hesitation, he bundled about ten into the basket—clearly no time for decision-making—and marched toward his final stop: the stickers.
Every visit, he picked out a new one—Snorlax, Pikachu, Ditto—tucking it into the back of his phone case so he could swap them out whenever the mood struck. Today, he grabbed two Ditto stickers: one for him, one for you. He always liked when your phone cases matched, even in the smallest ways.
After dropping them into the basket, he took it from your hands and tugged you toward the cashier. “If I stay any longer,” he said, eyes wide with faux panic, “I’m buying the whole store.” Leaving the store, two bags in hand, he wrapped his arm tightly around your waist, pulling you into his chest.
“Thank you for today darling.”

What would the travelers Pokémon teams be?
I can totally see Alfyn having a Blissey. Therion seems like he’d have a Gengar, potentially.
ok. upon literally hours of deliberation and team building (i actually already had ones for the OT1 travelers but decided to revisit them and change a few picks) me and my bestie @snailcruncher have settled on some teams. i will be going in depth on reasonings for these so prepare for a long post lol. im gonna put it under a readmore because really im not joking about how long it is
we also came up with some ideas/lore for why some of these would be picked in a pokemon AU setting, so i’ll be explaining any of those thoughts if they’re relevant too.
Ophilia:

one of the only teams left untouched, I think this is a good batch for her. i’m imagining a scenario where the sacred flame takes the form of a pokemon, and it’s a lampent. frosmoth and togetic felt just like… the right vibe. Lapras and Ampharos both have associations with guiding, so they’re in. Audino is a notable healing pokemon, and it feels in line with her personality as well.
Cyrus:

Alakazam for mr high iq smart guy. duh. oranguru for his role as a teacher, and Runerigus would be a late acquisition to his team in his ch4. Flareon, Glaceon, and Jolteon for the 3 scholar spell types. i also think him having 3 eeveelutions could also be kind of like, they’re really good for demonstrations for single-type stuff, as well as being popular with others. people might come up to him and be like omg you have a flareon i love flareon pleaseeee tell me more (flirtily) which of course would go over his head and he would start telling you flareon facts. I feel like Cyrus would excel in double battles.
Tressa:

Meowth: the pay day signature pokemon. this is as close as i can replicate to tressa randomly finding money. Skwovet (she can now take her pet squirrel with her in a pokeball)
Gyrados for sure. one, she lives along an ocean, so she should definitely have a water type, two, i’m imagining a scenario where she buys a magikarp cheap, seeing the potential in it, then raises it into a real powerhouse. just like her!
carbink: really funny scenario me and the bestie came up with that instead of eldrite the treasure was diancieite. the carbink is from the same cave. tressa did try to evolve it with the diancieite. it didn’t work.
pidgeot… felt like she needed a flying type (wind magic rep) and i feel like she’d gravitate to the humbler normal types… doesn’t get much more straightforward than pidgeot. Dhelmise… maybe it used to be captain leons, maybe she fished it out of the harbor in rippletide herself. either way, she thinks it’s cool
Olberic:

Aegislash: sword form, shield form…. this pokemon itself is the unbending blade. obviously i have given him several other sword based pokemon, too.
gallade, escavalier, and sirfetch’d badically all fit this. they’re knight-like, so they feel fitting i think to him.
as for conkeldurr and garganacl, they feel kind of… solidly built. like him. ( ⬇️ garganacl pick lore)

Primrose:

almost all of her pokemon can learn some kind of dance though their level up. Oricorio is the obvious choice, dragonair reps dragon dance, beautifly reps quiver dance, and lilligant… well they can learn so fucking many. we couldn’t decide on which one to give her, so we ended up giving her both. they’re her backup dancers or whatever.
mawile just feels very primrose to me. its cute or pretty or whatever, and you might underestimate it… but watch out. it bites.
Alfyn:

he feels like a guy who loves a big fluffy dog. and stoutland has also been used in games for its ability to sniff out items, so it feels like it’d be a good pick for an apothecary looking to sniff out herbs and such. Comfey is an obvious pick, i mean its signature move is. floral healing. meganium also has mentioned in its dex entries its healing and calming properties. it’s also a cool as fuck dinosaur so i think alfyn would like it.
chatot. does this even need explanation
we also wanted to give him an ice type, and settled on cubchoo. it has a perpetually runny nose… even Alfyn can’t fix it, try as he might.
as for leavanny, we had some trouble picking the last slot on this team. we were looking through friendship evos, and leavanny caught my eye. it’s dex entries mention that it’s very gentle, it also shows no mercy to foes who target young pokemon. seems fitting… we decided alfyn got it as a swadloon (maybe it could be taught to use its sewing abilities to dress wounds?) and it evolved during his ch3.
Therion:

I think Krookodile, mimikyu, and klefki are quite obvious picks, so i won’t go too in on them. Ninjask and Shedinja…. Ninjask is super speedy, so it felt right to give one to therion, but also i feel like.. he’d keep the shedinja around. even with 1 hp and one billion weaknesses… it’s still a part of his team. it and ninjask were born from the same nincada. he couldn’t abandon it like that.
and applin lol. something about therion gives me “guy who’s going for a cool as fuck hydrapple and ends up with an appletun actually”
H’aanit:

If anyone’s allowed to have legendaries, it’s the hunters. Chien-pao is as close as we can get to a snow leopard. and yeah maybe it’s a little evil but H’aanit is built different. Decidueye feels like an obvious pick, and spirit shackle is a great signature move for the h’aanit vibe. trapinch for. leghold trap. kilowattrel is literally a thunderbird. and ariados… well, it has the ability sniper, to reference hunter’s crit boosting abilities, as well as having some trapping moves like webs. for the Hunters, I’ve left their last spot blank, but this just means like, a “flex” spot that would be different each time you battled them. H’aanits got boxes of options to choose from.
now, onto the OT2 ones!
Ochette:

I’m sure you can see what i’m going for here. it’s just the closest i could get to Akala/mahina and her 3 story beasts. and again, like H’aanit, the last spot is “flex” not empty, so imagine her bringing some different new bullshit to every battle.
Cassti:

i wanted to do a few things with Castti: obviously, give her some healing-y mons, but also a few oddball picks that might have you looking twice. picked Shiinotic because of its ominous dex entries, and then. toedscruel because i realize shiinotic actuallt doesn’t get spore i think? and i think castti “put em to sleep right in the street” florenz should have a mon with spore. (edit. i actually just cant read the bulbapedia tables and shiinotic does get spore. anyways she gets two spore mons i guess cuz what if she’s gotta knock out two people at the same time. or whatever. dustox emits toxic powder from its wings, which seems like it could be something castti would want to keep on hand for poison axe. these three might seem a little weird tho, and reinforce her bad first impression in canalbrine, even though i’m sure they’d all be very well behaved and nice. Blissey and Arboliva are straightforward healing picks. I feel like these would be common for apothecaries to have in general.
and then galar-slowking. poison-activated brain nonsense. i feel like she acquires this one post-amnesia. they feel a kinship with each other.
Throné

Throné’s team is half-blacksnakes dedicated, half catered to herself. Every blacksnake has a seviper or an ekans, as well as probably most of them also having other grunt-esque pokemon, like zubats and such. throné’s taken care of hers, though, and friendship evolved it into a crobat.
chose furfrou because i think throné would like a prissy little dog she can dress up cutely. milcery, which she’s waiting on evolving until she can figure out what alcremie form she wants, and a shade-cherrim.
oh, and zangoose, of course. the natural enemy of sevipers. one appeared to her right after she left new delsta. what a sign, right?
Osvald:

Osvald we had some interesting stuff to work with, I think. we decided that most of his pokemon were newly acquired after his prison escape- not on purpose. they seem to just take a liking to him and start following him around.
the avalugg helped get him out of the frozen water at cape cold, and then stuck with him.
the teddiursa.. also just stuck with him. we wanted to give him something that felt a little oddball for him… so this doesn’t evolve. it stays cute and unevolved forever.
the shuppet was found hovering around the ruins of Osvald’s house. he was reluctant to take it, but if it was formed out of some semblance of his desire for vengeance… he has to be responsible for it.
the Indeedee is the only one of osvalds old pokemon, out of this lineup. since indeedee are so helpful to people, it was kind of a family pokemon acquired after elena’s birth (dex mentions they’re good at babysitting.) Osvald could probably also trust it with simple lab assistant tasks like moving stuff around. was a very beloved pokemon within their family. anyways, following his sentencing, clarissa managed to get ahold of the indeedee and took care of it all this time. when osvald returns, it’s clear it wants him to take her with him.
the drampa was acquired after the events of montwise, having shown up and basically just forced itself to go with osvald. somehow it seems to know what’s going on and who it can trust…
and slowking.. well, smart guy needs a smart pokemon. it’s another one that took a shine to him, though at that point he was getting used to this happening.
Partitio:

Talonflame: partitio’s aptitude for fire magic and the “chickadee” nickname made this an obvious choice for an ace. I can imagine a young partitio’s first pokemon being a fletchling, for sure.
bramblegast. the funny tumbleweed. put it on the team immediately.
Milotic: Paritio picked up a feebas. having a knack for seeing the potential in pokemon, he wasn’t wrong, and now hes got this thing. it’s very popular with other people, though it seems an odd pick for partito at first glance to strangers.
armarouge: ok this one’s a little convoluted so i will explain it later. kind of vibes based pick tho lol. revavroom kind of. uhh. steam engine. (we can pretend)
there ain’t a more partitio pokemon out there than gholdengo. everyone say thank you scarvi for giving partitio most of his team.
Agnea:

hey, it’s another oricorio! i think you can guess why.
volcarona: learns fiery dance, but we thought up even more lore on this one. the larvesta was a family pokemon. mostly belonging to Garud (we ended up deciding that the Bristarnis had a lot of bug types, who help out with the sewing stuff and larvesta does give a little bit silkworm, lol..)
anyways, part of his blessing for sending agnea off was telling her to take the larvesta, who also turned out to be a dazzling star in the end too after a lot of hard work.
altaria and leafeon rep dragon and swords dance. i just feel like they’re good picks for her energy, too. lunatone reps the moonstep. I’ve also opted to give her a sunny cherrim, which i think would be cute contrasted with Throné’s gloomy one.
Temenos:

temenos has quite the oddball lineup for a cleric. but hes kind of an oddball cleric so i think it works.
Absol. man. a lot of shit happens to temenos. this absol is stressed tf out 24 fucking 7. sorry man.
Clefable: felt like we had to give him a healer-adjacent pokemon and this one evolves with a moonstone. feels fitting for mr night-ability mistral tbh.
Lokix. alright. another scenario based pick. Temenos caught this thing on the pilgrims way as a nymble at like level 2. probably rustling in the metaphorical tall grass, crick is all “get behind me, it could be dangerous” and then. lvl 2. nymble. doesn’t even need to be fought to be caught. and then temenos is all hey crick, it’s a “crick”et pokemon! (we’ll ignore that the dex says grasshopper) he’d keep it just to mess with crick, but it ends up sticking around.
Houndoom. well, temenos is the pontiff’s hound, so we did need to pick a dog for him. it’s a houndour in the beginning, houndoom by the end. probably evolved in a moment of crisis (in ch4?) the yamask is from crackridge.
wooloo. this is actually Crick’s. it wasn’t helping with the little lamb allegations… after the events of stormhail, Temenos takes it in.
Hikari:

Kingambit: i mean. come on. gotta get a kingambit for the future king.
Gardevoirs dex entire mention that it is dedicated to its trainer/cause to the bitter end, and would do anything to protect it. perfect for Hikari.
Morpeko and Zweilous. some literally two-faced pokemon. (maybe he feels a little bit of a kinship with them in that way) i also really wanted to give Hikari a pseudo-legendary, and i think that his zweilous would probably evolve just in the nick of time to kick some ass against mugen. Hydreigons might be notoriously destructive, but something about the personalities merging into one brain in evolution seems to have mellowed Hikari’s out. it’s remarkably personable, for a hydreigon.
lucario: i really wanted to give him a pokemon that learns copycat, and lucario fits that bill. plus, he definitely needed a fighting type.
Cerudelge: formed from bitterness of old cursed armor, but also an extremely skilled sword fighter… one of hikari’s aces.
I also like to imagine that a lot of hikari’s pokemon are quite difficult to deal with (his ceruledge in particular is quite belligerent and mean) but they all have utmost respect for him as a trainer, once they’re on the battlefield. but onlookers sometimes worry… how the hell does he deal with it all?
other notes about some of the picks :
Partitio’s amarouge. Paritio picked up a. charcadet later on, and hikari personally warned him that it might be difficult to deal with. (his charcadet and later ceruledge were super hard to train for him) of course, partitio did end up in possession of the cool nice armor that evolved it into the better mannered and nobler armarouge… but honestly, even his charcadet was far better behaved.
paritio and tressa both get those shitty fish that get cool. must be because they both have an eye for a diamond in the rough.
agnea and throné’s cherrims are best friends. throné rarely got to see her cherrim sunny-form until she left new delsta… she wonders if maybe it was upset about being so nocturnal before, with the blacksnakes.
castti and osvald, team mom and team dad somehow both ended up with slowkings. everyone’s a little concerned about castti’s, though…
after the events of his story, Osvald leaves indeedee and teddiursa with clarissa and elena. the teddiursa and elena in particular take to each other very well… when osvald finally is able to return to elena’s life, the teddiursa is really much more her pokemon.
also. H’aanit and Ochette and far and away the best battlers of both groups. i know i only have them with one flex spot, but you can imagine that they’d swap out a lot more for whatever they need to do to build a good team. they’ve got loads more options than everyone else.
you know that thing about giving someone an applin in galar? therion did trade it over to alfyn at one point. but really they have joint custody of that thing. which definitely ended up as an appletun.
we also had some npc aces sprinkled in there, so here’s some other thoughts, just as bonus!
Malaya: Pawmot (revival blessing), rapidash.
Elena: Abra
Harvey: Hypno, Bacephalon
Pala: Kricketot (formerly belonged to her and agnea’s mom)
Roque: Metagross
Kazan: Husuian Braviary
Ori: Chatot
Trousseau: Glimmora
Cordelia: ….ferrothorn
Erhardt: Aegislash, Hisuian Samurott
Z’aanta: Zamazenta
Juvah: is literally a solgaleo
Darius: Scrafy/Pangoro
Simeon: Malamar
Esmeralda: Mismagius (wanted to give her something with perish song)
Mattias: drifblim? darkrai?
Lucia: Hatterene
Miguel: Grimmsnarl
Werner: spectrier
Mugen: Kingambit. mirror match with Hikari, but mugen’s has supreme overlord while Hikari’s has defiant.
Kaldena: we couldn’t pick but maybe she goes like lusamine mode and fuses with something.
Claude: Cradily. (uh. literally fossil pokemon)
Dolcinea: belive it or not, also an oricorio. also, solrock. but her oricorio is the prettiest.
veronica: she has somehow acquired the worlds first and only female gallade through the power of lesbianism.
Crick: … wooloo….
I do wanna make some drawings for these ideas, but this post was literally already one billion miles long and has way too many images, so it’ll probably be a separate post. thanks for the ask! and sorry for talking so much, but i fucking love making pokemon teams so much it’s insane.
and a big thank you again to my bestie @snailcruncher who helped me with a lot of these picks (and did basically all of the npc picks thank you so much i love you). tysm for pokemon octopath brainrotting with me for like 4 hours.
#octopath#octopath traveler#octopath traveler 2#im not tagging every character. lol#pokemon#only tagging pkmn so i’ll be able to find this post again later.#anyways. feel free to yap at me about my picks i can and will talk about this forever.

Giving the chain pokemon teams because I'm bored yippee. I am NOT gonna give them balanced teams. Just going off of whatever I like, I don't have the brainpower to balance teams right now. Sky: Decidueye. It just feels right. He's such a lighthearted guy (for the most part..), imagine him having THIS alongside him. Xatu. Flying psychic BIRD. sky had visions of his quest. "This odd Pokémon can see both the past and the future." and its a BIRD. hes the BIRD GUY Staraptor. Im telling you this guy is probably a flying type gym leader in another life another universe. his other lives aren't doing too well actually. Jolteon. yes I am giving them each an eeveelution. Galvantula. you collect a ton of bugs in his game. this thing is absolutely adorable AND an electric type. this is literally made just for him. PSEUDO LEGENDARY TIME. uhhhghmmm.. Goodra?? maybe?? Four: Serperior. JUST LOOK AT IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS ABOUT IT BUT YOU CAN'T TELL ME THATS NOT HIS STARTER Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Marshadow Duraludon. just seems right. don't ask me why cause I can't tell either EEVEE. no way am I giving him any eeveelution, there are too many parts to this guy to give him a single type like that. Tyrantrum. TINY GUY WITH GIANT CHAOTIC POKEMON. SEE THE VISION. Metagross for the pseudo legendary? I think steel types suit him Time: Greninja maybe? not too sure about this one, but it feels the best so far. Noctowl. cause cause. gaepora/rauru. Ribombee. fairy type... it cheers people up and this guy used to be like. somewhat jaded. I was kinda stuck for his eeveelution. Sylveon? Celebi. YESS I KNOW ITS A MYTHICAL. BUT IT TIME TRAVELS AND ITS BETTER THAN HIM HAVING DIALGA. plus it kinda looks like another fairy and yknow. navi. i know it makes a little more sense to give him ogrepon but. i dont like ogrepon ok Tyranitar for the pseudo. mega-able perhaps. it feels like it fits Legend: LET ME TELL YOU. I HAVE THE BEST STARTER EVER FOR HIM. just wait. shhhh. bunny guy. fiery temper. CINDERACE. BEST STARTER EVER FOR HIM. Toxapex feels links awakening-y.. alolan AND poison type just like him Sawsbuck. oracle of seasons.. pokemon that changes with the seasons.. also its kinda. normal. no not cause its normal/grass shh. its not good for battling or anything its just. kinda there. i think hed like having pokemon just like that. Espeon kinda felt like. the most magic eeveelution there was? plus he talks to zelda telepathically in alttp right? even though he didnt DO it it just kinda feels like it fits for that Houndoom. this thing is SO legend. have you SEEN it? Dragonite for the pseudo cause it looks adorable and nice and cute and he DESERVES the adorable and nice and cute one. Hyrule: SCEPTILE. MEGA-ABLE SCEPTILE. If I knew what fairy/grass meganium looked like I would consider giving him that cause yknow. fairy. but I don't so for now its sceptile. Ceruledge "The fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal." see. this might fit legend with the fallen hero of time and all. but i didnt think of it then so hyrule gets to have it Raichu. ill do you one better. ALOLAN raichu. LOOK AT IT. hyrule'd love it Leafeon. no explanation the vibes just felt right.. foresty and all.. Gastrodon I absolutely love this thing. how DARE it exist. its his now. Garchomp. this is my absolute favorite pseudo and i bestow it upon hyrule.

eevee ecos
I wanted to think about "realistic" eevees and their respective ecosystems as a little thought experiment. Adaptation logic led me to some unexpected places!
I think most striking is that Flareon would probably like to live in cooler climates, so their primary habitat would probly be mountains & taigas. They would probably play a big role in fire ecology, which is so cool. (It's Firefox!)
Jolteon also surprised me. Electricity is most useful in water, so they'd probably be semiaquatic -- a freshwater dweller, like the noble electric eel! Who woulda thunk someone so opposite-looking to Vaporeon would have the closest habitat type? (obv vapon is oceans)
Some others are fairly intuitive. Leafeon gets temperate forests, can expand into subtropical & boreal if they want. Umbreon prefers caves, and can fill nocturnal niches for other habitats. Glaceon likes -- shocker -- glaciers. Tundra & polar deserts.
Espeon was the trickiest to place. There isn't really a real-world analog for Psychic type, so I focused on their physical traits instead. Espeon seems to have short fur, if any, and big ol' eyes and ears. These are good high-heat low-water adaptations, so I went with Desert & Shrubland for esp. Pokemuad-dib
Sylveon is so bright & striking I have to put them in tropical rainforests. They're like a bird of paradise. I like to think there could be lots of microvariations in color & ornaments for wild sylfs! And just imagine the potential of domesticated colors....
Interesting implication of this is that this morph would probably have the highest population among eeveelutions by far. Between the trait diversity and the sheer cover area of tropics, Sylveon may make up fully half of adult eevees!
Since tropical rainforests are considered a cradle for biodiversity, I thought it would be fitting for them to be eevees' primary birthplace. A baby can probably handle most non-extreme environments, but tropical rainforests are their main. I like to think there's an ancient supercave which hosts its own unique mini-ecosystem, where lots of eevees congregate from all over during the migration season. Here, they breed & raise their young. Once juvenile eevees are hardy enough, the adults disperse back to their home habs.
Older, un-metamorphosed eevees prefer temperate grasslands. Like rabbits :>
#pokemon#worldbuilding#fanbuilding#speculative biology#speculative ecology#the question is exactly how they travel these distances#Maybe portals/compressed paths using the same fundamental magic as pokeballs?#Methinks there is more worldbuilding to do >:3c#4444

Hi! Hi! Would you like to play a game :3 which pokemon do you think the trigger happy havoc cast would have? You can only pick one pokemon per person! I'll go :) first!! Makoto naegi would have a Spearow and aoi asahina would have a Wartortle and Sakura ogami would have Machamp :] hehe now you go!!! :)))
Ooookay, let's see.
Makoto- ...Okay, I promise I'm not doing the "Makoto is rabbit" thing on purpose, but Buneary is genuinely an option. I just like that it has the "Klutz" ability. I like to imagine Makoto's Pokemon constantly dropping things or knocking things over by accident. BUT, I think I'll give him a Bidoof instead. I really want to give him an early-route Pokemon, something common and normy, plus I find it charming to give him this homely beaver creature that is constantly chewing stuff. I like to imagine all of the furniture in his dorm room is chewed; the desk chair has one leg that's half the size of the other three, there's big chunks missing from the desk itself, etc. Comes in handy after his execution; Bidoof chews him free of the desk.
Kyoko- Espeon seems so obvious, but it is Espeon. And I'm gonna say that's a Kirigiri family tradition; they all are given Eevees in their childhood and evolve them into Espeons when they're ready to be a detective. (Jin either evolved his into something else or didn't evolve it at all, to the family's disdain.)
Byakuya- I'm giving him Umbreon. Advantages: he matches Kyoko by having an Eeveelution; its moves include "Mean Look," "Covet," and "Confuse Ray"; it's weak to fighting types, which reminds me of Aoi slapping Byakuya.
Aoi- Okay, so she had a Squirtle while she was at Hope's Peak, and she intended never to evolve it because she found it very cute, but then she did evolve it to a Wartortle when the Tragedy happened (because she was worried her Squirtle wouldn't be able to defend itself well enough), meaning when she wakes up pre-killing game, she's going to be confused as to why her Squirtle evolved while she was sleeping. When the killing game ends, she evolves her Wartortle to a Blastoise right before leaving the school. (Tbh, I think the Poliwag to Poliwhirl to Polywrath version of this concept is more in character, because that brings in fighting type in addition to water type, but in terms of what Aoi would choose, I just think that as a child she thought Squirtle was cute.)
Yasuhiro- Zigzagoon. Another early-route Pokemon, and this one is known for wandering around and finding items in the ground. I feel like Hiro might value that.
Toko- I reeeeeally see her with a Venonat, but I can't really justify it except by vibes and the fact that it has a move called "Struggle Bug". Bug and poison type really feels right for her.
Sayaka- Kirlia, but it was a Ralts in middle school (and Makoto comments on how she's evolved her Pokemon since the last time they were in school together). Psychic type and fairy type. Has "Disarming Voice," "Draining Kiss," "Charm," "Heal Pulse," "Calm Mind," etc. Just a lot of moves that sound like Sayaka to me.
Mukuro- Mightyena. Not only does this Pokemon look like Mukuro, it also never disobeys the orders of a skilled trainer. This means that when Mukuro is disguised as Junko, she either has Junko's Jigglypuff or someone comments on how weird it is that the Ultimate Fashionista has a Mightyena.
Junko- Jigglypuff. Easy to underestimate by looks alone, while the moves and general vibes match how she manipulates people. "Disarming Voice," "Alluring Voice," "Amnesia," "Uproar," "Helping Hand"...
Leon- Voltorb. Ball. Plus, electric type just feels right for him.
Chihiro- Kakuna. It can't do much, fighting-wise, until it evolves, and it's weak to rock types.
Mondo- This guy has a regular Aron and he loves that thing. Steel and rock type, and cute. (They eat metal, so this could be a thing where Aron eats the dumbbell that killed Chihiro and they have to figure out the murder weapon by knowing the dumbbell is missing, etc.) Has moves like "Tackle," "Take Down," "Harden," "Heavy Slam," etc. I'm sure he also has a Cyclizar, but it's not with him all the time; the Aron is a constant.
Taka- Rookidee. Another early route one, and one whose Pokédex entries say it will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. It has moves like "Power Trip," "Scary Face," and "Brave Bird".
Hifumi- I'm feeling Sylveon for him. He seems like he'd have an Eeveelution to me, and he seems like he'd have a fairy type. Has moves like "Babydoll Eyes," "Fake Tears," and "Stored Power."
Celeste- She either has a Glameow or a Sableye. Glameow is a normal type but looks elegant enough to go with Celeste's aesthetic; Sableye is a dark type, has gems for eyes that symbolizes the motive that ostensibly led to Celeste's downfall, and are thought to "steal the spirits of people when their eyes burn with a sinister glow in the darkness". Glameow would go well with Celeste ultimately being a normal person who's putting on airs, but Sableye matches with her overall presentation. To each their own, but I'm going Sableye because it's cool. (Gothitelle looks like her, but I don't think that's really what she's looking for in a Pokemon.)
Sakura- Galarian Rapidash. Psychic and fairy type, which makes it strong against fighting types. The idea here is that she is strong in the area of fighting and her Pokemon is strong in the areas where she is weakest. That or Tauros, which is a fighting type and notably unruly, meaning she would have to make it behave through competing force of will. Tbh, I can't decide on one for her right now.

My personal headcanon of what everyone's teams might look like!
Notes will be under cut! (some Pokemon choices are better thought out than others aka some Pokemon are just chosen purely for aesthetics LOL also there's like, general ISAT story spoilers so don't read if you haven't finished the game!!)
Siffrin:
Since astronomy plays a big cultural role of the island that Siffrin is from, I'd like to imagine Jirachi is a messenger deity or something to the Universe. Maybe when Siffrin is 'running away from home' (more like rowing away from home haha), perhaps the big wish that caused the disappearance of the island used up most of Jirachi's strength and power and they just so happen to fall towards where Siffrin is in his boat, where they catch him and nurse them back to health (tho maybe Jirachi can't really make wishes anymore)
And then Siffrin gets Amnesia Blasted and suddenly forgets who Jirachi is and why they're with him now that the link between Jirachi and the island is gone
But Jirachi sticks with them like the bestie that they are
Wow I didn't mean to write so much lore LOL
Mimikyu: Cute on the outside, scary on the inside
Hatterene: just look at it LOL
Ceruledge: "The fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal." Something something ghost events of past Siffrins from previous loops
Greninja: Frog ninja is fast and cool
Aegislash: "Generations of kings were attended by these Pokémon, which used their spectral power to manipulate and control people and Pokémon." I think if the King also had an Aegislash, Aegislash vs. Aegislash would be rad as fuck
Isabeau:
Sylveon: Eevee is like, the epitome of change, and Sylveon is a trans icon with those colours
Gallade: "True to its honorable-warrior image, it uses the blades on its elbows only in defense of something or someone." Protector Craft!!!!
Lucario: Isabeau is very compassionate and is pretty attune with other people's emotions (especially Siffrin's), so it's fitting for him to have a Pokemon that can read and sense people's auras
Hisuian Arcanine: Cool rock/fire dog looks cool KJAHDKAD
Milotic: another metaphor for his change!!! It takes a lot of work to evolve Milotic from a Feebas, and it took him a lot of work to craft his body into a self that he's a lot more proud and comfortable in!
Metagross: He's smart so I give him a smart Pokemon KJAHDJASD (also he's like, good at math iirc???)
Mirabelle:
Eevee: Because Mirabelle is content with who she is and struggles to want to change in ways that the Change belief encourages, I'd like to think she also has an Eevee that also struggles to know which Eeveelution they might want to evolve into
Ninetales: a reference to the ISAT fan letter thing that was done on twitter a few years ago, and one of the questions was which Pokemon each of them would have and Mirabelle said Vulpix!
Gardevoir: "It will dedicate itself to defending a master it has come to adore. Its pure white dress, reminiscent of those worn by ladies of nobility, is the dress of one who is willing to risk their life." Mirabelle is very dedicated to her role as a Housemaiden, even if she experiences doubts of herself, but it's a role she holds with pride especially if it means protecting her friends!
Audino: since Mirabelle is a healer, she needs a Nurse Joy adjacent Pokemon LOL
Sirfetch'd: The fact that she uses a rapier but is also the party's healer is sick as fuck and it's giving Celica from Fire Emblem. She deserves to had a cool Pokemon that can fight and protect like her
Chandelure: This is my magnum opus because "The Cursing of Chateau Castle" - what do castles tend to have? Chandeliers. What would CURSING castles have??? SPOOPY CHANDELIERS!!!!
Odile:
OK Odile was the hardest to come up with Pokemon for but
Alakazam: "It has an incredibly high level of intelligence. Some say that Alakazam remembers everything that ever happens to it, from birth till death." Because of Odile's sus event, the fact that she remembers every little detail of Siffrin's mannerisms to be suspicious of him, yeah LOL
Noctowl: Owls are cool and I always associate owls with scholars
Flygon: because she has a lot of type coverage, dragon-types are known to have a large type coverage as well and Flygon has like, goggles over their eyes, kind of like glasses!!
Torkoal: Turtles are slow but steady, and I feel like older folks get colder more easily so it's good to have a fire turtle around to keep you toasty!!
Spiritomb: Kind of the opposite of Flygon, in that Spiritomb has only one weakness (it didn't have any until fairy types became a thing)
(Also low mobility - ya'll should look up how Spiritombs move because it's so funny)
Froslass: Cold and unassuming LOL (also Froslass' look like they're wearing kimonos!)
Bonnie:
Nidorino: Because I gave them mostly food related Pokemon, they deserve an eventual Nidoking as a treat LOL (also an ISAT fan letter thing)
Vanillite: The first time Siffrin sees this Pokemon with Bonnie, they're like "Ice to meet you" LMAO
Bounsweet: tropical fruit Pokemon from Bambouche probably!!!
Fidough: Cute bread dog is cute
Capsakid: spicy Pokemon that Bonnie can prank Isabeau with by making him cry from spice LOL
Tatsugiri: Their sister owns a Dondozo heehee

Heathers Pokemon Teams
This is moreso for me than for anyone else, I'm combining my two biggest hyperfixations into one big jumbled mess
In addition to providing the teams I will provide reasons as to why I chose these members
Some explanations are from canon, some are from my own headcannons, just whatever I could use to fill out the team
Blazkien: I wanted her to have a fire starter, and I felt that Blaziken was the closest to Chandler in terms of vibes
Also I really like Blazkien sooooo
Jolteon: I wanted the Heathers to use the original three eeveelutions, and she gets Jolteon bc I wanted something to reflect her and Mac's longstanding friendship, so she gets the yellow one to represent Mac and Mac gets Flareon, a redish one to represent Chandler
Nidoqueen: Its associated with royalty, literally having Queen in the name, and was chosen to reflect Chandler's status at the top of the hierarchy
Kindgra: Same reasoning as Nidoqueen, but this time with King
Tsraeena: Same reasoning as the other 2, but this time with Tsar. Plus, Tsareena is a strong looking feminine pokemon that is well known for its kicks (Kickin' nerds in the nose)
Annihilape: Chandler is a very aggressive person and can push people to their limits, as seen during the party with Veronica, like how Annihilape has to push itself so hard with rage that it literally dies
Sceptile: Other Grass starters have more Duke vibes, Serperior and Meowscarada coming to mind, but Sceptile is a counterpart of Blazkien, the starter that is weak to it out of the trio, like how Chandler is the one that holds the power in the Heathers and they have to listen to her, lest they be beaten down
Vaporeon: As I stated above the Heathers each have one of the original eeveelutions, with Duke having Vaporeon, because that was the one that got left over
Honchkrow: Vibes. Thats the only reason, it just looks like a Pokemon Duke would use
Scizor: Its a green pokemon that evolves into a red one, like how when Chandler dies she takes the red scrunchie, evolving as a person.
And what is its only weakness, a 4x one at that? Fire, the type of Chandler's starter
Pyroar: Vibes again, but there's also the fact that Pyroar is also a regal Pokemon, representative of how Duke so badly wants what Chandler has, the top spot. Plus, Pyroar has the ability Rivalry, adding on to that metaphor.
Gallade: Martha has a Gardevoir, and the dichotomy between the two Pokemon that started out the same but grew apart as they evolved represents how Duke and Martha grew apart as they grew older.
Ampharos: The theme for Mac's team is Pokemon that are friendly and that she can hug, bc I headcannon that she loves animals and wants to hug them all, and Ampharos is the most huggable of the three stage electric types (electric bc yellow, three stage to go along with the other's starters)
Flareon: Explained above, but Flareon is also the most cuddly looking of the original eeveelutions, I imagine hugging it would be like hugging a giant heating pad
Bewear: Like Mac, Bewear looks friendly and fluffy looking, but is actually insanely strong and one punch could knock you out
Lapras: These last three are just kinda vibes, Lapras just looks really friendly
Gengar: Many people see Gengar as this scary, malicious Pokemon, but Mac would see that Gengar have no bad intentions and just want to pull harmless pranks on people. Plus its sprite looks like its opening its arms for a big hug
Alolan Ninetales: Alolan Vulpix looked so fluffy that I said that there is no way Mac wouldn't want one
Blastoise: Out of all the water starters Blastoise fit Veronica's vibe the best. Veronica gets a water starter not only because its blue and that's her color, but Water beats Fire, Chandler's typing, just like how she was the one to end Chandler's reign
Espeon: Veronica gets a eeveelution just like the rest of the Heathers, but she gets Espeon, which wasn't one of the original three, showing how although she's in the group, she's still not fully in the group. Espeon was chosen out of the remaining ones based entirely on vibes
Corviknight: Vibes.
Chandelure: Also Vibes, but there's a little more to it, I headcannon that Veronica loves History and Chandelure is this old haunted Chandelier and I can see her wanting to learn about where it used to live and stuff like that
Hisuian Liligant: Also tying into the history thing, Hiusian Variants are from the past and Veronica would totally be intrigued by that. Also Vibes (are you sensing a pattern yet?)
Aurorus: I wanted her and JD to have a pair of Pokemon to represent their love (bleh, PolyHeathers+Veronica forever), and I pretty much arbitrarily chose the Kalos Fossils bc I liked the dynamic they have, Aurorus being Beautiful while Tyrantrum is destructive
Hydreigon: JD has a temper that he struggles to keep in, and Hydreigon is known for going on destructive rampages when it is angered, similar to how a certain someone decides that blowing up a school is the best reaction to getting broken up with
Lucario: Lucario is a solemn, lonely Pokemon, kinda like how JD explains that he's been alone due to how often he has to move, but also very mysterious, also like JD, which was the thing that intruged Veronica about him
Crobat: Vibes, plus Crobat is used by a lot of evil team members in the games so I guess it kinda fits with JD considering that he's the villian
Vanilluxe: Slushies
Basculegion: A psuedo-counterpart to Veronica's Hisuian Lilligant, but it also represents how his mother's death weighs upon him so, because Basculegion is surrounded by the souls of its dead Basculin bretheren
Tyrantrum: Counterpart to Veronica's Aurorus, a very destructive Poekmon like his Hydreigon
Gardevoir: As stated previously, it is a counterpart to Duke's Gallade. It's mega also looks like a woman in a wedding dress, symbolizing how she dreams of getting married to Ram
Sylveon: Vibes, I wanted her to have all Fairy types and this was the one that fit the most, despite the fact that it kinda throws off the whole eeveelution metaphor I was going for
Mimiyku: Mimiyku is a very lonely pokemon that tries so hard to fit in, and I feel like Martha would sympathize and pity it, and they would be each other's friend. She knows what its like to be rejected and unwanted, so why not be rejected and unwanted together?
Galarian Rapidash: Unicorn Sweater
Azumarill: It and Togekiss are both big, bulky fairy types, but instead of this being a "Martha is fat and they are fat", it shows how Martha is using her strengths to her advantage. Sure she might be a bigger girl, but she's owning it and not letting it hold her back
Togekiss: Building off of that, Azumarill and Togekiss both start out as weak baby pokemon, and while most people would cast them aside, not wanting to put in the effort to train them or seeing them as too weak to bother with, Martha would see their potential and raise them right.

The Chains Pokémon partner parings explained.
Hi this is that post where I try to explain my reasoning for pairing each Link with their Pokémon partner + a little fun fact about each Pokémon.
Sky with Dragonite
Sky and Dragonite have quite a few things in common. Their both big, loveable, caring beings who are always ready and willing to help those in need, their both also A LOT stronger than they initially seem. Sky being a literal demon god slayer, and Dragonite being a Pseudo Legendary Pokémon that can control the weather at will.
I imagine that Sky met his Dragonite before his adventure when it was still a little Dratini, they love to take naps together, and go on long flights around Skyloft.
Fun Fact: Pseudo Legendary Pokémon get their title from the fact they have a base stat total of 600, which is the same as most Legendary Pokémon, and are extremely difficult to evolve, Dratini taking 55 levels, or 207,968 experience points earned to evolve into its final form, Dragonite.
Four and his Eeveelutions
To be honest there really wasn’t any other Pokémon besides the Eevee line that had enough evolutions or unique forms/variants to give Four. But even then it’s still a good pick, Eevee can evolve into one of 8 different Pokémon. Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, and Espeon being the most obvious picks for Four/The Colours, Jolteon being the next best thing for Green since there’s no Flying type Eeveelution, and Espeon for Vio due to his book smarts and relation to Shadow, with Vaporeon and Flareon being perfectly fitting for Blue and Red respectively.
I picture Four meeting his Pokémon between his adventures in Minish Cap and Four Swords Adventures, as Eevee, and then taking them with him through the latter adventure. And while Green, Blue, and Red found the evolution stones to evolve their Eevee at some point or another throughout the adventure, Vio and Shadow’s Eevee evolved during their time together when Vio was pretending to be a traitor (Eevee evolves into Espeon and Umbreon through high Friendship during the Day and Night respectively). And that while the Colours were struggling to work together during FSA, their Pokémon were working with each other just fine. After Shadow sacrificed himself, Four cared for his Umbreon.
Fun Fact: Shadow’s Umbreon likely knows Shadow isn’t really gone, but has no solid way of communicating this to Four.
Time with Celebi
Pretty simple really. Time is a time travelling fairy boy from the forest who’s possessed by a deity, Celebi is a time travelling forest guardian fairy who IS a deity.
I believe that Time would meet his Celebi some time after Majora’s Mask, but before the War of Ages.
Fun Fact: Time’s Celebi is nicknamed Navi.
Double Fun Fact: Time’s Celebi Navi may or may not actually be several different Celebi (Cuz there’s actually like a bajilion of these lil onions babies all zipping throughout time and space) and Time has yet to figure this out.
Note: Still a’nt actually settled on whether Navi IS multiple different Celebi or just one single Celebi. Tell me which one you guys think it is in the comments. I genuinely love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
Or I might make a poll or something.
Legend and Lopunny
With the fact that Lopunny is a rabbit Pokémon with a pink shiny, the connection seems pretty surface level, and that I paired the two just cuz I genuinely like Lopunny (Which I admittedly do) but when you look a little deeper into Lopunny’s character, they actually do have more in common with Legend other then aesthetics.
For one, Lopunny evolves via Friendship (Like Espeon and Umbreon) HOWEVER Buneary, Lopunny’s pre evolution, is actually hard to befriend at first, as Wild Buneary always start out with a friendship level of 0, (something usually reserved for Legendary Pokémon) Legend too is a bit rough around the edges and a little hard to get to open up at first, but a loyal companion and friend once he lets people in. As well Lopunny, while not one to go out of it’s way to pick fights, IS a strong and capable fighter, who could hold its own alongside Legend in combat, and much like how Legend has a wide variety of tools in his arsenal, Lopunny is able to learn a wide variety of Moves. Plus both Legend and Lopunny could totally put on one heck of a show if they wanted to.
I would think Legend meets his Lopunny as a Buneary after all his adventures where set and done (But before LU of course) and while they didn’t get along all too well at first, they actually warmed up to each other rather quickly and have become the best of pals since.
Fun Fact: Due to how Pokémon breeding and Egg Groups work, Legend’s Lopunny is able to be siblings with Fable’s partner Pokémon, a Delcatty.
Twilight with Herdier
I wanted to pare Twilight with a Pokémon that would not only work well with his profession as a Rancher, but also not overshadow or replace Epona’s relationship with Twilight, nor the Chains relationship with Wolfie. So I went with Herdier, A loyal and sturdy hard working dog Pokémon that just like real dogs has been working with humans both on and off the farm since ancient times.
Just like Legend and his Pokémon, Twilight meet his Herdier back when it was still just a little Lillipup some time after Twilight Princess, and they do everything together! Work, play, fight, and just overall in joying the simple things in life, Herdier loves to play with the village children, and is happy with its life with Twilight overall.
Fun Fact: Twilight’s Herdier is actually already passed the level when it should have evolved, but hasn’t due to it holding an Everstone, a item that, when held, prevents a Pokémon from evolving even when the conditions for evolution have been met. Herdier has the Everstone because it’s happy as a it is right now, and is in no real rush to evolve, and Twilight respects his Pokémon’s wishes to say a Herdier.
Wind and Clauncher
Again a pretty simple reasoning behind this pairing. Wind loves the Great Sea, the colour blue, and lobsters. Clauncher is a Water type Pokémon that lives in the sea, that is blue, and is a lobster.
Again just like Legend and Twilight, Wind meets his Clauncher after his adventures in Phantom Hourglass, but before LU. Wind loves his Clauncher, and Clauncher does love Wind back, tho that doesn’t mean they don’t get in fights, as Wind and his Clauncher are both hotheads. (Wind taking weeks to get Clauncher to stop attacking Arill’s Wingull, or any Wingull in general for that matter, and being VARY upset with Clauncher during that time. And Clauncher being upset when Wind thinks that he isn’t good enough as a hero or a big brother, despite it being completely untrue, casting Clauncher to become moody with Wind) But they can still both be sincere when it really counts. And will comfort the other when the other is feeling down.
Fun Fact: Wind’s actually had his Clauncher for the same amount of time that Legend and Twilight have had their Pokémon for, but Clauncher has yet to evolve due to Wind lacking the Time to properly train it.
Hyrule with Ribombee
I paired Hyrule with Ribombee due to their similarities. Hyrule is half Fairy, and Ribombee is a duel Fairy type Pokémon. Hyrule is a capable Magic user, and Ribombee is a strong Special Attacker. Hyrule has the ability heal his allies, as so too does Ribombee. Not to mention their both small and cute.
I imagine that Hyrule actually meet his Ribombee as a Cutiefly during his first adventure in Zelda 1, and that while Hyrule was apprehensive about bringing a tiny little Bug Pokémon like Cutiefly on a dangerous quest, Cutiefly did a surprisingly good job holding it’s own against the monsters in the dungeons. And after that, the two have been best buddies ever since.
Fun Fact: Hyrule’s Ribombee has the Ability Honey Gather. Meaning after a battle, Ribombee has a chance of just finding some random honey. Ribombee happily shares this questionable sourced with Hyrule afterwards.
Warriors and Aegislash
Picking out a Pokémon partner for Warriors was the trickiest, I initially thought about giving him a Kingambit, but felt that it didn’t really suit him, as while Warriors does lead an army and is a tactician, I felt that Kingambit’s style of fighting didn’t really suit Warriors. Aegislash however are known to work with people and leaders such as kings, and are known to be good judges of character, which I feel was more fitting. Also I thought it’d be cool to have Warriors use his Aegislash like a sword. (The Pokédex says you shouldn’t do this, but it’s been established that the Pokédex is being written by edgy 12 year olds, and a character did it in one of the mangas, so it should be fine)
Warriors met his Aegislash during the War of Eras, not sure if was already an Aegislash or not tho. Despite the communication barrier between them, the two often do battle planning together, and fight really well together. Aegislash and Warriors a’nt afraid to tell the other off if they were bing stupid, or pushing themselves too far, but also are happy to compliment each other if the other for doing well.
Fun Fact: Warriors Aegislash has a Sassy Nature, meaning it loves bitter foods and hates sweets. Don’t ask me how a sentient ghost sword can eat, it just does.
Wild and his Hisuian Zoroark
And finally we come to Wild and his Zoroark. When I was looking through the Pokédex to see what Mons would fit well with Wild and saw Zoroark, I knew that it would make the perfect partner Pokémon for Wild. A loyal, wild fox Pokémon and master of trickery that will protect its pack no matter what.
Much like the others in the Chain, Wild did not meet his partner as a fully evolved Pokémon, but as a Zorua. But he didn’t meet it as a Hisuian Zorua. They meet each other when they were kids, before Wild had the weight of the world on his shoulders, and back when Zoroark was still a regular Zorua, they became close friends, and where together through thick and thin. Zorua was there when Wild became a knight, Zorua was there Wild when he became Flora’s appointed knight, Zorua was there during the memories, Zorua stood by Wild’s side when Calamity Ganon attacked, Zorua died by Wild’s side during the Battle of Fort Hateno.
And while Link was placed into the Shrine of Resurrection so that he may revive and defeat the Calamity 100 years later, Zorua was not. But Zorua did not need the Shrine of Resurrection. Through the power of they’re hatred for Calamity Ganon, and they’re love for their trainer Wild, Zorua rose from the dead, reborn into the world anew in the form of a Hisuian Zorua. They wanted on the Great Plateau for over a hundred years for Wild to revive, likely evolving during that time. And when Wild finally awoke, it was the happiest day of they’re life. But it was also they’re life, as Wild remembered nothing of his life before the calamity. But even then Zoroark stuck by Wild’s side throughout his adventures in BotW, through thick and thin, and they defeated Calamity Ganon together, along with the Champions, and Zelda. And while the spirits of the Champions and the King passed on afterwards, Zoroark did not, as always Zoroark continued to stand by Wild’s side, through TotK, and Beyond.
The Fun Fact about Wild’s Hisuian Zoroark, is that it uses its power of illusions to help Wild recall his lost memories.
OK! This was a long post but I did it, I hope you all find my progress interesting, and that I did a good enough job of explaining it. If you want to look into this sorta stuff yourself go for it. Sorry for the Wild bias, I hope you have a lovely day/night and goodbye.

Made some refs for Frankie's team! She doesn't battle with either of her pokemon, they are service pokemon.
Feebie, the Togekiss, was given to her as a Togepi while she was recovering from her amputation to help her mentally. Much like Emotional Support Animals, Feebie's primary job is to comfort Frankie and calm her down. Feebie can tell when Frankie is experiencing phantom limb pain to offer support. She will lay on top of her to ground her when she's panicking or anxious, much like a weighted blanket. I imagine Fairy types are common Emotional Support Aids in the pokemon world. Another option for Frankie would've been a Riolu/Lucario, but that evolution line has high energy requirements that Frankie wouldn't have been able to manage.
Michael mostly makes her life easier by retrieving items for her. It's helpful to have another set of "hands" while she's tinkering in her freetime or performing maintenance. She's had Michael since before she was old enough to be a trainer. The only indication it recognizes she lost an arm is the fact it will carry her prosthetic when she's not wearing it. Michael was registered as a service pokemon after Frankie's amputation not because its particularly helpful, but so that she can't be told to recall her pokemon when she travels.
I really enjoy thinking about the various ways pokemon can function as aids! I think the Rockruff line would be particularly helpful for fainting and chronic fatigue, as many service dogs today can smell when their owner is about to pass out, including for disorders like narcolepsy.
Sylveons would be particularly good emotional support and seeing-eye pokemon because they can guide their trainers with their ribbons. Though, I imagine all the Eeveelutions would be good emotional support aids. The friendship evolutions would be most common.

#casey's starter. if anyone cares
I care! Thoughts on pokemon for the other aliens?
okay. um. the slight problem I have is that... the amount of thought I've put into ~pokemon for aliens~ as a concept ranges from 'fully thought out pokemon teams (multiple)' for casey and valentino and 'precisely zero' for all the other aliens. it's basically a thought experiment I've only run for that one specific rivalry where you get into like... match-ups between the different teams... and then there's the matter of how you philosophically approach pokemon au's - whether you go 'imagine if people irl had pokemon' or whether you fully invest in the setting - which also has implications for pokemon choice. I like thinking through both regionally agnostic pokemon teams where you basically have a free pick, or ones where you try to think what makes sense in a specific story progression similar to what you'd get in a pokemon game. BUT let's put all that aside and just... pick one starter pokemon for each of the aliens. their first lil guy
casey - eevee
the pick that prompted this ask. counting eevee as a starter is kinda marginal, apparently it was one in... pokemon xd: gale of darkness...? which I have obviously never played. but my first pokemon game was mystery dungeon (blue rescue team) and it's one of the 'starters' in that. and,, look, I want eevee to fulfil the starter plot function for casey by being the first pokemon casey befriends, so. we are counting eevee
as any fan of the franchise knows, eevee is a pretty unique pokemon. it has like... an 'unstable/irregular genetic structure' that means that is influenced by its environment in how it evolves. it is the pokemon with all the potential... it could be anything. it can evolve into one of eight different eeveelutions, all with different types
some of its pokedex entries:
the quintessential mutant pokemon! a bit weird and special! can adapt to pretty much every environment it ends up living in. it's very casey idk,, adaptation is his trademark trait. his ability to respond to any possible challenge, to compensate for any problems - the natural talent that provides him with such flexibility in his skillset as a rider. like eevee, he's all about potential!! I also like how eevee starts as a normal-type pokemon that basically just looks like an ordinary animal at first glance. a cute woodland creature, a cross between a fox and a rabbit. you wouldn't see it and immediately think it can help you unlock some of life's greatest mysteries. but it can!! casey believes in it from the start and gets very prickly if anyone else underestimates his pokemon. plus, starters are obviously generally quite cuddly and kid-friendly, but eevee in particular does just properly look like a pet you might feasibly have. I am pro casey having a creature that can sit in his lap and provide emotional support
in general, obviously no pokemon species needs One Single Characterisation... for all of these, you do want a bit of individual personality for the pokemon that reflects how it bonds to its specific trainer. though you do usually get a bit of guidance for common personality features, certain associations and key traits. I don't feel like there's anything particularly established with eevee, so we can just play it by ear for this one. I think casey's eevee should be a little proud, very stubborn, not always the friendliest to strangers but extremely outwardly affectionate with casey. maybe a bit hot-and-cold, somewhat unstable in its temperament in line with its whole schtick as a genetically unstable pokemon. (my preferred annoying valentino character trait in pokemon!verse is that he is very good at getting other people's pokemon to adore him. draw whatever conclusions you wish to about what implications that might have for this particular dynamic.) I wouldn't... prescribe casey one set eeveelution... like it kinda depends on team composition, right, the whole point is that it can fulfil lots of different functions. my preferred options tend to be glaceon, as a sort of reserved, hardy (albeit pig-headed) companion that learns to balance out casey's hothead tendencies - or jolteon, which goes in the complete opposite direction and is extremely sensitive and moody and a bit difficult to deal with. but, again. the whole point is allowing for flexibility here. this pokemon can adapt to all sorts of harsh environments... all about capturing casey's raw potential, while also providing him with a friendly and affectionate companion who can ground him. one day, when casey has retired from the battle trainer profession as a renowned champion, he ends up on a farm surrounded by like a dozen baby eevee - who will eventually evolve into every type of pokemon imaginable. for now, they're too busy jumping all over him
valentino - chimchar
obviously a single pokemon doesn't have to be representative of the entire team unless you're like,, a gym trainer... and in this case specifically valentino's starter doesn't represent the pokemon types that you'd typically feature in valentino's team as a whole. in terms of basic dualism, for the casey/valentino rivalry it's ofc very much a casey fire vs valentino water situation. as their canonical colour coding helpfully reflects. BUT idk,, I feel like it takes the fun out of it to be super stringent with elemental types for starter pokemon. you want balance in your pokemon teams anyway, the water/psychic/ghost types can come later. and in terms of Vibes, I think valentino should have a little fire chimpanzee
look at it. this is a great pokemon for young valentino specifically... cheeky little rascal. it's got a fire tail that can't be extinguished even when it rains. young valentino canonically a wimp about rain, to the extent that he didn't want to leave the trailer to actually ride in races (aka his job) and had to be cajoled into doing so. (an attribute he never quite lost if you look at how he acted in some parc fermé situations over the years.) having a permanent source of heat follow him around he can cosy up to (at an angle that doesn't set his clothes on fire) can only be a good thing. the only time chimchar extinguishes its fire is when it sleeps, though the flame also grows fainter when it is sickly. and unquenchable flame is very valentino. ALSO chimchar is known for its ability to climb mountains - and I just like the idea of valentino getting a heart attack when his cute companion is halfway up an extremely steep rock face. valentino bonded 4 lyfe with a creature that puts the fear of god in him once a week. bonus points if chimchar is extremely restless and very nearly too energetic even for valentino, so valentino's trying to sleep off another late night only to wake up at eleven am and realise with horror that chimchar's trying to catch clouds again
the typical characterisation of chimchar leans into curiosity and mischief... it wants to know things, always sticking its nose in places it doesn't belong. AND it's playful, cheeky. a perfect partner in crime. a pesky little clown. this surprising clever annoying chimpanzee who can alternate between bounding around, bothering everyone in range, and clinging onto valentino as he roams the land on his adventures... the constant companion to ensure that valentino is never too lonely. trusty, unflinchingly loyal, extremely ride-or-die if not always the most obedient - it has an independence to it that garners valentino's respect, however irritating he might find it in the moment. a constant source of entertainment. prone to sitting on valentino's shoulder, and also to setting his clothes on fire
its evolutions suit valentino too:
the post-chimchar evolutions add fighting type - always up for a scrap, always up for challenging themselves with a new dangerous opponent, increasingly adept at handling themselves in combat. perceptive. resilient. fierce. let us consult bulbapedia:
'all of its limbs' 'comparable to dancing' 'flame never goes out' it all works what can I say. also! infernape isn't the tallest final evolution anyway and valentino would have like... a good sixty cm on it... but you'll also note that it has really terrible posture. like I said. valentino's perfect partner
dani - treecko
with this pick, I didn't start with treecko itself - rather, I thought about how treecko's evolutions suited dani and worked back from there. sceptile (the final evolution) to me is such a classic cool pokemon, like you just know that guy means business. sleek powerhouse. it is also a lot taller than dani and I just like the idea of this looming grass monster standing behind dani. but my real affection lies with grovyle (the second evolution), who was a major character in one of the pokemon mystery dungeon games - a time traveller attempting to save the world from an apocalyptic future where time had stopped working and was scapegoated as the culprit while working to defeat the REAL villain. long story short, grovyle was very brave and very committed but was also just like?? completely put through the wringer, like this guy simply cannot catch a break. tragic arc!! kid me was extremely invested
anyway, this is treecko
even when treecko is still small and cute, it's just a cool little fellow. the typical characterisations centre on how calm and collected treecko is... a reserved type, not prone to panic or indeed expressing any strong emotions. doesn't get intimidated or scared when facing bigger pokemon. fun giving dani a starter that exaggerates the more prickly aspects of his personality - make his treecko standoffish, verging on rude. very dismissive of those it doesn't see worthy of its attention. it comes across as too composed for this to read as shyness, though there is a little bit of that too... maybe not the best socialised pokemon. comes off as harsher as it means to, sometimes. and this is the story of how jorge lorenzo came to feel he had been mortally offended by a half metre tall creature
not quite as outwardly affectionate as some of the pairings on this list, dani and treecko have a lot of implicit trust and loyalty going for them. they very much come as A Unit - so early days when dani is still a bit more closed off to the outside world, treecko very much mirrors this. dani really only needs one confidante, everyone else is unnecessary. often a nuisance. I've already brought up the evolutions, but as a quick refresher:
cool leaf guys. towering over dani. yes. there's a real confidence and class to this pokemon post-treecko, a certain protectiveness of its trainer... proud and single-minded. perhaps even a little more assertive than dani and more willing to stand up on his behalf than he is on his own. even when they get kicked a lot by life, even when they struggle, they learn how to work through that and take pride in their successes as they come. a pairing that draws strength from the other, one that learns how to provide each other steady support and companionship. and if dani's REALLY in danger, sceptile can always pick him up and just get the fuck out of there. they'll always look out for each other
jorge - torchic
get jorge a torchic right now. right now. as stated at the top of this post, I didn't have any ideas prepared for three of the aliens, and admittedly my thought process with this one was picking dani's treecko first and then thinking about the other starter pokemon you get in the same game. which is how I got to torchic. but idc, never mind all that, I now feel very strongly about this pick
torchic is... this little warm ball... it's kinda awkward, toddling after its trainer, a bit unsteady and off-balance. not necessarily the coolest one at first glance... hey, maybe jorge wanted a treecko but dani got first pick. but once jorge commits, he really commits - and torchic are generally seen as extremely loyal to their trainers. dependent to the max. some more key details: they have a flame literally burning inside of them that makes them warm to hug. they're afraid of the dark and will cry if you leave them alone at night. they're basically very cute very cuddly wimps. jorge is initially sceptical... but once torchic worms its way into his heart, it sure does stay there. give jorge a little unconditionally loyal creature that he has to take care of and protect... let jorge do the full one eighty from being kinda unconvinced by this pokemon to being EXTREMELY defensive at anyone suggesting that there's anything wrong with being terrified of dark places. nobody else gets it... jorge knows his torchic is just misunderstood
more of a side note but. I like that I've given both yamaha teammates fire types who can keep them warm. a bit of a ~fight fire with fire~ approach to intra-garage relations. bright flames, drama, show. evENTUALLY they figure out they have a fair bit in common and don't have to try and kill each other every other week but... it takes time. there's also a bit of a superficial resemblance between both of their starters' final evolution, in colour scheme if nothing else
jorge's torchic only evolves once he's completely accepted it like it is, uncool overly affectionate wimp and all. at which point it does increasingly become the ~badass~ companion jorge had been looking for, though it never loses those early traits entirely. I also like this description of combusken's battle, like yeah sure let it be annoying and screechy:
jorge obviously canonically quite smooth and sleek on track - but again, it's fun to have a little bit of contrast too, where his starter pokemon is LOUD and DISTRACTING. he will LOSE IT if anyone calls his precious pokemon shrill and grating... people just don't get how smart it's being... (they get it, they just find it annoying anyway.) and this whole 'fire inside' thing just suits jorge... he's big on how his pokemon's fiery heart matches his own or whatever. even the torchic had PASSION. it's a proper partnership built on a mutual willingness to challenge absolutely anyone as they grow stronger and wiser together... they make for quite the pair. jorge's pokemon might never be the biggest fan of the dark, but it sure ends up being very brave about it
marc - totodile
as someone who regularly makes reference to marc's serial killer grin, it feels only right for me to assign marc a starter pokemon that can wrench open its jaw like a crocodile
totodile bites. a lot. it's not even malicious - it's playful and likes to roughhouse with everything in its vicinity. but the problem is that it has extremely powerful jaws that can chew through a LOT of things... so it might playfully bite you in a way that leaves you requiring stitches. and it also does this to its trainer! when marc is young, he's constantly getting the brunt of it, leaving him covered in bruises and worryingly gaping wounds as a result of his pokemon's affection. he never holds it against totodile, for all that a lot of those marks won't ever quite fade - he knows it doesn't mean badly. it's not generally a good idea to have your back turned to totodile and marc has to be careful to take his totodile around other people... now there you can get some nasty incidents that get marc into a lot of trouble. marc has a tendency to be quite bullish about these attacks and will always defend his pokemon, but eventually he learns to take more responsibility and totodile learns to be more careful. mainly because it doesn't like seeing marc in constant pain approaching agony
beyond these... uh, teething difficulties, totodile is fun to be around - cheerful, bright, and a steadfast companion to marc who always wants to play and have fun with him. it never quite loses these character traits in its evolutions --
-- though it does grow somewhat warier, a little more determined to protect marc from any potential attack. this evolutionary line sleeps with one eye open at all times, only ever resting half of its brain as a way of always staying on guard. croconaw have barbed fish hook teeth you can't get out once they are attached - so when it properly bites down onto something, it won't let go until it's lost its teeth. which fortunately (?) grow back fast. there is a certain reckless disregard for its own wellbeing with which marc's pokemon defends marc that does unsettle him, and he tries to dissuade his starter from regularly losing all its teeth on marc's behalf. character arc where they both have to learn to take a bit better care of themselves - for each other's sake, if nothing else. by the time marc's starter becomes a feraligatr, luckily it generally only has to open its massive jaw to intimidate foes. and when it DOES bite down on an enemy, it shakes its head around to like... idk man, just make life even worse for them? tear them asunder? not a pokemon to be messed with for sure. another one with a somewhat comical height disparity to its trainer, so marc can just show up and have an extremely scary massive crocodile as backup to glare at foes. but away from battle, it's still the playful affectionate creature it once was. just a touch more terrifying
#when i was a kid i often named my pokemon after whatever i was into at the time OR my own original characters reimagined in pokemon form#so there's probably a timeline where i have like.... a shinx called casey. or maybe i'd save that name up for when u get the riolu egg#//#brr brr#batsplat responds#//at#//st#don't want to brag but these are all banger picks. i think i really nailed this one#i feel like pokemon fusions should be more of a thing in fandom in general#down with hogwarts au's. the future lies with pokemon#i know the trainers are canonically. like. ten. but they don't HAVE to be. liberate yourself and age them up to something more sensible#//brr brr

I was thinking more about the potential future of Kaida and Morgan with Children. Kaida would have her genetic clone daughter Kyden but I imagine they certainly wouldn't stop there and would still also want to adopt as well; Kaida was an Orphan once herself and doesn't want any kids to feel unwanted so they would end up having a very big family! I figured since Kaida has her Salandit daughter, why not make the rest of them Eeveelutions like Morgan and each of them get a name after a Trickster god or hero from different cultures.
Anansi gets their name from the West African Spider God originating in Ghana but his influence has spread across the Atlantic the same way a lot of people were brought there, Slavery. Anansi is the God of Stories, Knowledge, and Trickery who is often an underdog to much stronger opponents, but always pulls one over on them by being clever. While he is often a hero he also is occasionally selfish and gets himself into trouble like the time he discovered a peculiar rock that knocks out anybody who points out how strange it looks. He started running a scam where he would lead people to the rock, get them knocked out, and then steal their belongings. Finally one person refused to acknowledge the rock causing Anansi to mention the peculiar rock out of frustration and knock himself out. One of Anansi's most famous stories is how he came to be the god of stories. Anansi was Bored one day, and he realized the reason why he was bored was because there were no stories, the Sky god keeps them all for himself. So Anansi goes to visit the Sky god and asks he let him be the god of stories. The Sky god agrees but only if Anansi can complete 4 challenges: The capture of 4 of the most dangerous and elusive creatures Onini the Python Mmoboro the Hornets Osebo the Leopard and Mmoatia the Invisible Fairy
For Onini, Anansi paces around the Python's house muttering loudly to himself while carrying a long stick. Onini comes out to see what all the fuss is about and Anansi explains he had a bet with his wife that Onini is longer than this stick but now he isn't certain. Willing to prove how long he is, Onini lies beside the stick but everytime he moves part of his tail curls so he can't lie completely straight and stretch to his full length. Anansi suggests he web up Onini's tail just a little and then ends up binding his full body in webs!
For the Hornets he pours some water on himself and over the hornet's nest yelling about some big storm! The Hornets come out to check quick to blame Anansi but he shows how soaked he is too and says the storm will probably come back. Their nest is not gonna hold up against another storm but he has an empty gourd right here that is super sturdy! So the Hornets fly into the gourd and he plugs the top after they are all inside.
For Osebo, Anansi dug out a pitfall trap and covered it with leaves and branches which should seem like an obvious trap but since there are no stories Osebo falls for it immediately. Anansi comes over to offer Osebo a hand out of this mysterious pit that just showed up here, handing him a web which then flings the Leopard into a giant web!
Lastly for Mmoatia the invisible Fairy Anansi carves out a little wooden puppet, covers it in a sticky sap, places a bowl of yam paste on the puppet's lap, and then attaches web stings to the puppet to control its motions while he sits back and hides in a bush. Mmoatia comes around and asks to try some of the delicious yam paste to which Anansi makes the puppet nod. After finishing the bowl Mmoatia thanks puppet but the puppet doesn't respond. Feeling like they are being insulted, Mmoatia kicks the puppet and gets their foot stuck on the sap, then continues to try to fight the puppet and gets completely stuck! Anansi comes out of the bushes, webs up the fairy, and like that he has collected all 4 creatures and is rewarded with all of the World's Stories!
Anansi is frequently lazy, greedy, and selfish, but when it comes to helping others who are being taken advantage of by someone more powerful he will not stand for that kind of injustice and will use all of his cunning and intelligence to make powerful people into fools of themselves.

I’m not done actually. I want to expand more on this post because the history of Eevee and its evolutions is honestly so fascinating to me. There’s a good chance that we wouldn’t even have Espeon or Umbreon or Sylveon if it wasn’t for domestication. I mentioned in the previous post how the ancestor of Eevee only had three evolutions: a Fire-type, a Water-type, and an Electric-type. These were, of course, the foundation for Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon. Over time more evolutions were discovered, very likely due to human influence. It’s theorized that working with humans and bonding with them is what led to this ancestor evolving into the early versions of Espeon and Umbreon. It evolved into a Psychic-type to be able to sense and predict potential threats that could harm its master. Meanwhile some evolved into a Dark-type, to protect their master from nocturnal predators and roam around at night so they could guard where their master slept.
Even Glaceon probably wouldn’t exist today without the influence of humans. Eevee don’t typically live in colder climates and it’s likely that their ancestor didn’t either. When settlers moved to colder regions they brought their Pokémon with them. This ancient version of Eevee would’ve needed to adapt to the cold environment, therefore triggering an Ice-type evolution. An ancient version of Glaceon.
Imagine how different things would be if we’d never domesticated Eevee’s early ancestor. It’s likely that a good portion of the Eeveelutions wouldn’t exist! Or if they did exist, they would possibly look completely different than the ones we know today.

top 10 pokemon according to my blog
hiiii :3 i wanna make one of these "most popular posts" lists but with my all time posts instead of just 2024 because thats not as interesting i think.. instead im choosing to believe this is an objective look into what the best pokemon are because thats funny
10. zubat. 183 notes
it's so suckerfish core in this model in a way that none of its other images are. maybe becuaes its so fat which is an okay thing for a zubat to be but it makes it look like it really is fulfilling the same niche in its stupid little cave as a suckerfish (and well)
9. luvdisc. 188 notes
not much to say about this round little freak i think. i possibly could have expected it to be here or maybe i hoped it did but it just looks so stupid its great. deserved
8. mimikyu. 190 notes
not really seeing it from a rumble point of view since its so normal looking but from a regular pokemon one i understand.. i remember when gen 7 came out i remember big time mimikyu fame
7. rhydon. 204 notes
A LITTLE UNEXPECTED.... tbh im not a huge rock type guy but rhydon is definitely up there and its model is just so joyous it's such a cutie so i think it really earned this spot
6. giratina. 286 notes
my favorite evil giraffe. im biased because my [RELATIONSHIP STATUS REDACTED]'s giratina helped us beat the wither in cobblemon but it's ok. shoutout lesbian
5. jolteon. 311 notes
if i thought really hard and imagined my single brain cell bouncing down the court and swishing through the hoop i think i coud've foreseen an eeveelution here but for some reason i didn't. whys this model so ugly. boy your ears
4. hitmonlee. 315 notes
at first.. unexpected. and then you look at it closer and youre like oh what is that thing. what is that. and i say yes!!!!!! how strange is this. we must research. and then we figure out nothing because i don't think its even alive. is it?
3. purugly 323 notes
really big fan of this one because the asker's blog is purugly themed. i LOVE when this happens its always great. no other comment i just like the "big text on a shirt that says I LOVE SPIDERMAN" thing
2. poliwag. 477 notes
i'm actually presently rolling this thing down a hill where it'll speed through a playground and become a tripping hazard as well as doing special attack damage to all children in the vicinity
1. popplio. 669/10k+ notes
i don't have the original popplio post anymore because i made it before u could mute posts and i was losing my mind with the amount of notes it's gotten but it's ok because it still got number 1 otherwise. btw feel free to request it again since it's gone from my blog i'll definitely still post it again sometime
anyway thanks for reading. it has now been demonstrated that i just say words. recreationally. i talk like i have an hourly word quota to hit

happy munday! maybe occa and sparkle for the crackships ! diamond clan eevee….
@ask-sarah-and-co
We got two fluffy beans this time! Cotton leans more in Orinatan Mareep territory. He's more like Occa, pretty chill, mind empty no thoughts. Probably enjoys lazing in the sunlight. Since he, and Stripe, are both only partially Orinatan Mareep, their snow wool isn't as powerful as Occa's with its freezing ability. The extra fluff around Cotton's neck is actual fur that's blended with the snow fluff.
Stripe is a lot more active, similar to an excitable dog pup. His neck fluff is actually snow wool like Orinatan Mareep's. He does enjoy playing, and whenever Cotton is available to play he tries to play with his sibling a lot! He can be quite the annoyance, I'd imagine.
You're free to take these two! Message me if you plan on evolving them so you can get the evolutions of Orinatan Mareep. Also, I like to imagine their Eeveelution choices would lean more towards Ice or Electric.

I just found this blog so I'm jumping aboard the plushie bandwagon.
First we got Absol. (i feel like maybe i should've taken a closer-up picture but it's the face sooo)

Then a Wooloo

And, saving best for last, this Leafeon plush I own... of which I swear on my life is official merch.

I also have some more eeveelutions (plus an eevee and a few more) but: 1. I didn't want to send too many. 2. Eeveelutions are more popular so I wanted to give some other people the chance to submit their own. 3. I don't know where my Pikachu and Snivy plushies are cuz I own too many stuffed animals.
Only reason I submitted Leafeon was so I could show off this ~masterpiece~ of a plushie I own. And it's face isn't the only thing wrong with it too lol. Also I just noticed I accidentally had one of the ears hanging back but I'm too lazy to go take another photo but i hope this amuses you nonetheless.
ALRIGHT THERE'S BEEN A LOT OF YOU AS I'VE BEEN OUT WITH MY FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS HUH
let's start with these guys. beautiful. wonderful. i do not believe that that leafeon is official merch. this statement is baffling to me. welcome to the front-facing pokémon family. i love the eyes on that absol and wooloo is one of my faves. i was rather obsessed with it when it first came out and have a whole wooloo tag on my main blog because of it. though i guess i cleared that whole thing out recently so i don't anymore
let's get the nose ratings out of the way:
↑ this is a lie. 10/10 chespin
it's very wide and also 10/10 you're being too harsh. merry day to you too
circular face indeed. did i already post this one? if i did you can have it again
clodsire be upon ye. clodsire fans this is your treat until gen 9
this is a trend now. i think tumblr just crunched this image to hell for some reason so here's what the text says:
"Felt like joining the others for front facing pokeplushies [images] I have more pokemon but its early morning and these are the plushies that are easy to access"
i have not but i imagine "a moment" has long passed by now. my apologies but apparently today was an important day or something? idk
YEAH it's super unbelievably fucked up. i think i kinda remember the circumstance being a bit dire so everyone else was more worried about either 1. protagonist getting stomped on brutally or 2. saving the world from kyurem / the bittercold. i was totally under the impression that he was dead in that moment but i guess the characters may have known that he would just come back? i seem to vaguely remember partner being surprised that he came back and being like "but we watched you die :OOO" but maybe i'm misremembering that. i do create a lot of pmd lore on my own time so i have a hard time telling the difference between canon and fanon sometimes
two a day makes the world go round! this blog started when i started college, paused for 80% of my college career and now has started back up and i just graduated college a week ago. i would say "how time flies" but it has been a very, very long year
i've said it before and i'll say it again: gen 6 is my favorite gen, so you'll be seeing lots of favor for this gen from me in the tags i'm sure. maybe gen 6 is my excuse to start doing other things here. like that stream i keep talking about
if they put meloetta as a little obscure puzzle thang in sv, i'm sure they'll do something for genesect. i hope. at least for keldeo probably. genesect i'm not sure is very popular, unfortunately, outside of the tumblr crowd. if the general public's opinion on genesect is favorable, then maybe
okay and then i tried to scroll down further in my screenshots for more asks and saw the wobbly will smith in a hospital bed Gimme a Hug, Man that i copied from the "i get a little bit genghis kanghis" post so that's it. to everyone who christmases: merry it. it is today. although it's basically over by now so! merry boxing day for tomorrow if i don't say anything tomorrow. but i probably will. now i'm gonna go queue up today's 'mons because i haven't done it yet today. see you all in a few weeks when those post
#gti spoilers#under the cut. don't look if you haven't played it it's an amazing game#not pkmn#nose ratings#about to queue up gogoat and pancham so be ready for those in a while
