I never watched the Hunger Games, and I thought that there was a possibility of two winners, but now, having read that anons ask, I am more terrified than ever.
Dad, please don't hurt your children 😢 💔
I think I’ve mentioned this in some tags but here’s the 🎉official announcement🎉
the next chapter is going to be very sad but it will not be the last.
THE AFTERMATH will be the final chapter and it already has a really really special place in my heart and so far it’s tying together with the story very wonderfully. I think it’s going to be very satisfying and i’m hoping it’s the happy ending we deserve. :)

extremely questionable methodology but i compiled all the dialogue spoken between Shigaraki and Deku starting from when Shigaraki breaks out of AFO’s control in Chapter 379 up to Chapter 412.
(There are chapters where they appear but do not speak. Those are the chapter numbers.)
The takeaway is that Shigaraki is extremely chatty! A lot of it is taunts, but Shigaraki’s also revealing a lot of stuff about his plans and his opinions.
Deku does not seem as interested in returning the conversation, however. Whenever he does speak, it’s less in response to any of the content of Shigaraki’s chatter, and more heroic statements of intent. (The ‘you’re still human’ is the only direct refutation, I think.)
To be fair, his focus is all on surviving Shigaraki’s attacks. Nearly all his internal thoughts are strategy - combining a quirk with this quirk, how exactly he can physically stop Shigaraki. Additionally, before Chapter 410, he was probably too worried about All Might; while for most of Chapter 412, he was asphyxiating. Hard to chat when so much shit is happening.
And you can argue Shigaraki is just Villain monologuing. Deku doesn’t have to pay attention to anything he says - a lot which are, after all, taunts - he doesn’t have to engage with Shigaraki’s dumb rants.
His goal is to save Shigaraki/The Crying Child, and only that - not like talking or asking questions about anything or responding is required for that.

I adore OX’s spontaneous inconsistency, but not so much when it comes to the christmas specials. I’m really hoping this year’s update will be a continuation and not something else. we wait an entire year for these chapters — out of everything else (official illustrations, extra chapters, normal chapters, etc.), I feel like OX should consistently deliver christmas specials on principle
but I know I’ll still enjoy/support whatever ends up being posted… I’ll just inevitably be a bit saddened if it isn’t a continuation from last year, and I think that’s fair to say without sounding like a complete asshole

Kae do you ever think about topping Childe? Part of me thinks it’d be hard to get him to relinquish control like that, but a bigger part of me thinks he’d like it and that he’d want you to be really mean about it
okay i will preface this by saying that topping generally does not appeal to me for many reasons that i’m happy to talk about, but won’t go into at length here (although the concept of subtopping is… new and compelling to me).
given childe’s character, i have a hard time thinking that he would let you to top him and dom him. this might be an unpopular opinion, but given how manipulative he can be, and given how poorly he reacts when he’s not the mastermind (or at least an all-knowing agent) of any given situation, i don’t think he would ever truly give you control—although he may lead you to believe that you’re in control. one of his fatal flaws is pride; now, you may wonder what “pride” a sopping wet masochist such as himself may have, and i think it’s pride in being one step ahead of everyone else. he doesn’t exactly respect his superiors, which is clear in his lone-wolf tendencies and the brusque way he talks about them. and while he certainly revels in pain and would let you top him and degrade him and even hurt him, i don’t think he relinquishes control for even a moment. perhaps his need for control stems from climbing the ranks of the fatui as a child and safeguarding his own interests. but even if he won’t admit it to you—especially if he’s afraid it will upset you—he knows in his heart that he can’t stop orchestrating his next move, can’t give up the iron grip that he has on his life. and this obsessiveness spills over into the bedroom.
tldr: i think you could top him, but even if you think you’re calling the shots, he is. he’s not a fatui harbinger for nothing!

Thinking about how in A Series of Unfortunate Events Count Olaf didn’t have any songs in the book but they wanted to show off Neil Patrick Harris’s amazing singing voice so they added some songs into the TV show and goddammit I really want a Celestial Toymaker villain song now
