I've been seeing a lot of people comparing Ciudad Enamorada to San Myshuno or worse, saying Ciudad Enamorada is an extension of San Myshuno/reused San Myshuno.

It's both incorrect and disrespectful. If you don't know what you're talking about it's probably better to not say anything at all.

That doesn't go just for art. That goes for almost everything online. And it's not just making you feel awkward. If you advertise your vulnerabilities, it's like having an open wound in shark territory. You're making yourself a target. You end up with people insisting they're your absolute best friend while they slowly suck you dry in the worst way possible.

Being shamelessly confident in yourself might feel awkward at first, but it's the greatest defense against awful people who would take advantage of you.

ngl one of the most useful things i’ve internalized from doing art online is never tell people what to criticize. don’t preemptively apologize for things or point out where you think you fumbled, it’s just priming people to notice minor issues that might not actually matter and hit you where you’re sensitive and throw you off your game. don’t tell people your weak points. if it’s a genuine problem they’ll point it out

I need you to understand that the very straight and immediate line from someone's very confident "I don't like mice/I've handled mice before so I know what they're like" to joyous wonder as they hold the first calm, friendly mouse they've ever held and murmur "they're so soft/sweet/warm/gentle" practically to themselves is basically a drug

He opens his hands, and she pours from my hand into his like a viscous liquid. She is soft and warm and sweet, and his entire face lights up when she hunkers down onto his warm hand and closes her eyes.
