What about jj saving rafes gf instead of Sarah when she falls off the boat? Even though jj and Rafe hate each other
of course babes! sorry this took a while, i hope you enjoy! :)

Before you were Rafe Cameron’s girl, you were a Pogue through and through. You grew up with JJ and John B, learning to boat, fish, and work hard for the things you wanted. Life was simple but full, with endless summer days spent on the water and nights filled with laughter. When Pope and Kiara joined your crew, it felt like your family was complete—especially since having Kiara around meant you finally had someone who understood what it was like to be a girl surrounded by all that chaotic, masculine energy.
But things changed when you caught the attention of Rafe Cameron. At first, it seemed impossible. A Kook and a Pogue? The idea alone was laughable. Yet, against all odds, there was something magnetic about Rafe—a spark you couldn’t ignore. And to your surprise, he felt it too. It wasn’t long before stolen glances turned into secret meetings, and those meetings turned into something deeper. But every step closer to Rafe felt like a step away from your childhood friends.
Sure, it was fine when John B started dating Sarah Cameron. But when you got with the older Cameron sibling, it was a problem. Rafe’s constant harassment didn’t help your case. Sarah was much kinder than her brother, and the Pogues saw her as someone who genuinely cared for John B. Rafe, on the other hand, had a reputation that preceded him—a volatile temper and a knack for trouble that made him nearly impossible to trust. Except when it came to you. Your presence seemed to calm the storm in his mind.
Choosing Rafe wasn’t easy. It wasn’t that you stopped caring for the Pogues. In fact, you still loved them fiercely, even if your paths had diverged. Being with Rafe meant walking a tightrope. While he harbored a burning hatred for your old crew, he knew better than to act on it—because hurting them meant risking you. And losing you was unthinkable for Rafe, who had grown to see you as the one thing anchoring him in his stormy world. But even his restraint couldn’t erase the tension. The Pogues saw your relationship as a betrayal, and you feared they’d never forgive you.
Now, you sat alone on the edge of a boat, staring out at the vast expanse of the Atlantic as it stretched endlessly before you. The journey to Morocco wasn’t one you’d ever imagined taking. But here you were, caught between two worlds, trying desperately to keep the peace. It was your idea to bring Rafe and the Pogues together for this mission. You’d convinced Rafe to help them track down Groff, who had made off with his money, knowing it could also give JJ and Pope a chance to evade capture. Even if you weren’t close anymore, you couldn’t bear to see the people you once called family thrown behind bars.
But, as expected, not everything had gone to plan.
The Pogues didn’t trust Rafe—and for good reason. His track record spoke for itself. As soon as they got him on the boat, they tied him up in the tiny bathroom, keeping him under lock and key. You understood their logic, but that didn’t make it any easier to see your boyfriend treated like a prisoner. Worse still, they’d forbidden you from seeing him until you reached Morocco. You didn’t fight them on it. Confrontation had never been your strong suit, and besides, you knew better than to argue with JJ when his mind was made up.
So, you sat in silence, listening to the rhythmic crash of waves against the hull, the salty breeze brushing against your face. The solitude of the sea was both comforting and suffocating. It gave you time to think—about the choices you’d made, the people you’d hurt, and the fragile balance you were struggling to maintain. You wanted to believe this trip could be a turning point, a chance to bridge the gap between Rafe and the Pogues. But deep down, you knew the odds were slim. Trust was hard to rebuild, and the wounds on both sides ran deep.
As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, you let out a weary sigh. All you could do now was wait—for land, for answers, for the moment when everything would inevitably come to a head. Until then, the sea was your only companion, its endless expanse reflecting the tangled mess of your heart.
-
Sarah was kind. She always had been. Even after all her brother had put her through, she still cared for him enough to make sure he was fed and hydrated. She did the same for you.
“Brought you some dinner,” she said, plopping down beside you.
“Thanks,” you responded softly. You took a few bites of the sandwich she brought you before putting it aside. Your appetite had been wearing thin the entire trip.
“I think it’s stupid too,” she said, looking out at the horizon while the late sun cast bright ripples on the calm water.
“What do you mean?” you asked.
She shrugged her shoulders. “The whole Kook versus Pogue thing. Rafe’s done his fair share of bad shit, but haven’t we all? I really think he wants to help this time.”
“He does,” you said. “All he wants is to get his money back from Groff. He doesn’t care about the crown. Honest.”
“I know,” she said, offering you a soft smile. “Well be there soon. Try to rest.”
You pondered her words as she walked off. You weren’t overly close with Sarah. It was almost as if you and she had swapped lives. You started seeing Rafe around the same time Sarah and John B got together, and for the last three years, she’d been getting a taste of life’s adventures while you enjoyed the finer things. You loved Rafe. You were in love with him. You couldn’t imagine being without him. But you often found yourself missing the life you once lived with the Pogues.
You cringed as you swallowed one final shot of whiskey, a vice that did close to nothing to take the stress away. You tossed the bottle to the side and rolled over, closing your eyes and trying your best to relax to the soothing sounds of the ocean. Eventually, you were lulled to sleep, dreaming of Rafe. He smiled as he took you into his large arms, and you felt secure in his warm embrace.
The dream was short-lived, though, as you were thrown roughly against the hard wall of the boat. Disoriented, you struggled to find something to grip. Rain lashed against your face as the boat pitched violently from side to side.
You made your way to your feet and took in your surroundings. The storm had hit fast. You could see movement inside the helm as the Pogues scrambled to navigate the chaos and secure the boat.
“Rafe,” you whispered, your breath hitching. “Rafe!” your voice rose into a frantic scream as you stumbled toward the helm. You knew you had to find him—if he was left unsecured, he’d drown.
“Y/N, get inside!” JJ’s voice cut through the storm. You turned to see him and John B holding the door open, JJ’s hand extended toward you. You reached for him, but another violent wave threw you to the deck.
“Where’s Rafe?!” you yelled, coughing as salty seawater stung your throat.
“Kiara’s getting him!” John B shouted back.
Moments later, Rafe appeared in the doorway, drenched but alive. “Y/N!”
Relief flooded through you at the sight of him, but your joy was short-lived. A massive wave loomed on the horizon, crashing into the boat with terrifying force. You screamed as the water dragged you off the stern, the world disappearing into a churning abyss.
“Y/N!” JJ and Rafe shouted in unison.
“Rafe!” you screamed, fighting to keep your head above water. The sea clawed at you, threatening to pull you under. “Rafe! Help!”
“I’m coming, Y/N!” JJ’s voice rang out as he dove into the water after you.
“JJ, what are you doing?!” John B yelled, trying to hold Rafe back from following. “JJ, no, no, no!”
But it was too late. JJ had already disappeared beneath the waves.
“Y/N!” Rafe’s scream was raw with desperation, tears streaming down his face. John B had never seen him so unhinged, so consumed by fear.
John B pressed his hand firmly against Rafe’s chest, forcing him back inside. “Come on, man! We can’t help them if we drown too!” he yelled over the howling wind. He shoved Rafe into the cabin and slammed the door shut.
“No, no, no, no, no!” Rafe sobbed, pounding his fists against the wall. “I have to go help her! I have to find her, man!”
“Rafe!” Sarah’s voice cut through the chaos as she wrapped her arms around him. “Rafe, it’s okay! Let’s just get to land. I’m sure they’ll find their way back!” She rubbed his back as he crumpled, his sobs echoing through the small cabin.
-
The water finally calmed as you and JJ struggled onto the sand, every muscle in your body screaming with exhaustion. The cold night air bit at your skin, but the relief of solid ground beneath you was overwhelming. Collapsing onto the beach, you coughed violently, lungs burning as you fought to catch your breath.
“Are you okay?” JJ asked, his voice ragged between gasps for air.
You nodded weakly, words feeling like too much effort. After a moment, you managed to rasp, “A-Are you?”
“Yeah,” he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper.
Minutes passed as you both sat in silence, trying to steady your breathing. The ocean stretched out before you, dark and infinite, illuminated only by a pale sliver of moonlight. A single tear slid down your cheek as your thoughts turned to Rafe—his face, his voice, and the uncertainty of whether you’d ever see him again.
“They’ll be okay, Y/N,” JJ said softly, his tone more reassuring than he probably felt. “At first light, we’ll head down the beach. We’ll find them.”
You nodded, swallowing back another wave of emotion. “Hey, Jayj?” Your voice was barely audible.
“Yeah?”
“Thank you,” you murmured, gratitude lacing every syllable.
He turned to you with a tired but genuine smile. “Can’t kill a Pogue, right?”
The next thing you knew, the sun was warming your skin, its gentle rays coaxing you back to consciousness. The once-violent sea was calm now, its rhythmic waves bringing an unexpected peace. You stretched, muscles stiff and aching, before glancing toward the shore.
JJ was standing near the water, absentmindedly dragging his foot through the sand. You rose to your feet, brushing off grains of sand stuck to your damp clothes, and made your way over to him.
“Hey,” you greeted softly.
He turned, offering you a small smile. “Hey. Sleep okay?”
“Guess so,” you chuckled. “Didn’t even realize I passed out.”
“Not surprising,” JJ said with a shrug. “You were pretty wrecked.” His tone was light, but concern lingered in his eyes. “I was thinking we head up the beach toward where the boat was headed. If they made it to land, that’s where we’ll find them.”
You winced at the word if, the uncertainty slicing through your chest like a blade. “Okay,” you replied firmly. “Let’s go.”
For the next 45 minutes, the two of you trudged along the beach in silence, your shared determination a quiet bond. Every step brought a mix of hope and dread as you scanned the horizon for any sign of your loved ones.
“You know,” JJ said suddenly, breaking the silence, “they’re probably feeling the same as us—like they might never see us again.”
You shook your head, gripping tightly onto hope. “We’ll find them, Jayj. We have to.”
“Yeah,” he said, his voice soft but resolute. “We will.”
A few more minutes passed before you gathered the courage to speak again. “JJ?”
He glanced at you, his brow furrowing slightly.
“Do… Do you hate me?” The question felt heavy on your tongue, dredging up years of unspoken tension.
JJ’s expression shifted, a flicker of pain crossing his features. He sighed, raking a hand through his damp hair. “No, Y/N. I don’t hate you. I don’t think I could hate you even if I wanted to.”
His words caught you off guard, and you looked down, fiddling with your hands. “It just… it felt like you did.”
JJ’s voice softened as he continued. “I was hurt. You were my best friend, and when you and Rafe got together, it felt like he stole you away. From me. From all of us.”
A tear slid down your cheek, and you quickly wiped it away. “I’m sorry, Jayj. I never wanted to hurt you.”
“You don’t need to apologize,” he said firmly. “All you’ve ever done was try to keep the peace. I should’ve seen that sooner. And last night, when you fell off the boat…” His voice wavered, and he looked away. “All I could think about was how I couldn’t let you die thinking I hated you. You’re my sister, Y/N. You always will be.”
Tears blurred your vision as you stepped forward, wrapping your arms around him. JJ hugged you back tightly, resting his chin on your head.
“I love you, Jayj. I’ve missed you so much,” you whispered.
He pulled back, his hands on your shoulders. “We’re gonna fix this. All of it. I’ll even make an effort with Rafe if it means getting you back.”
An hour later, the sun was high in the sky when you spotted movement in the distance.
“J, is that them?” you asked breathlessly, shielding your eyes with your hand.
JJ squinted at the figures. “Let’s find out,” he said, quickening his pace.
As you got closer, the shapes grew clearer: Sarah’s golden hair, Kiara’s familiar stance, and Rafe’s unmistakable silhouette towering above the group.
“Rafe!” you cried, breaking into a run.
He turned at the sound of your voice, his eyes widening before he sprinted toward you. The moment he reached you, his arms wrapped around you, lifting you off the ground.
“Oh my God,” he murmured, his voice breaking as he buried his face in your neck. “I thought I lost you. I thought I’d never see you again!” He cried.
“I’m here,” you whispered, tears streaming down your face. “I’m safe. JJ saved me.”
When Rafe finally pulled back, his gaze shifted to JJ, who stood a few feet away, watching the reunion. Without hesitation, Rafe approached him and pulled him into a hug.
“Thank you,” Rafe said, his voice thick with emotion.
JJ stiffened for a moment, then relaxed, clapping Rafe on the back. “Yeah, well… couldn’t let her die on my watch,” he said with a crooked smile.
As you stood there, watching the two men who meant so much to you, hope swelled in your chest. For the first time in years, you felt like things might finally be okay.

OK A BREAKDOWN OF LES MISERABLES IN FRANCE
- they changed a lot of the lyrics (including my fav/funniest lyrics unfortunately) which was pretty interesting ; honestly i think it's a great thing bc it was last re-written in 1991 and they made the songs more textual, more like real talking and i think way more accessible for a lot of people (bc in france we have this habit of writing pretty words, with a lot of images and lyrical phrases but it's not always helping to understand the plot yknow)
- the new lyrics for do you hear the people sing/à la volonté du peuple are SO GOOD ! originally it says :
à la volonté du peuple/et à la santé du progrès/rempli ton cœur d'un vin rebelle/et à demain ami fidèle
(to the will of the people/and cheers to progress/fill your heart with a rebel wine/and see you tomorrow, faithful friend)
and now it's:
à la volonté du peuple/qui crie les mots de sa colère/le chant de ceux qui ne veulent plus/être les damnés de la terre
à la volonté du peuple/dont on étouffe jamais la voix/et dont le chant renaît toujours/et dont le chant renait déjà
(to the will of the people/screaming the words of its anger/the song of those who don't want to be/the damned on earth anymore
to the will of the people/which you can never choke the voice/and whose song always revive/and whose song's revive already)
and idk i think it's pretty freaking cool; but i'll do a big breakdown of the new lyrics of do you hear the people sing bc it's the song they changed the most and i think it's way better for our times and more hopeful and giving the will to fight
- the stage: honestly real cool and clever! it's a smaller stage, way smaller than the west end one if my memories are not mistaken, and we obvisouly don't have the rotating stage; but they played a lot with moving structures and transparent curtains to make special effect like buildings, rain, etc... and it's way real cool !
- idk who the sound guy was but props to him cause the sound was SO GOOD like it sounded so clean and like listening to an album, truly perfect on this aspect
- the actors were GREAT, you could see they rlly took the roles and made them their own (i think enjolras' actor loves his role bc ive seen some of his tiktok and he looks like he loves it a lot so that's cool af)
- also i bough this
which is a conversation with boublil and schonberg retracing the story of the musical so yay
Anyway i'll do another big post to tell y'all act by act what was happening !
#les mis#les miserables#victor hugo#les mis musical#les amis de l'abc#translation is vague and rough but oh well

can I say something
Erik is such a complex character and not a lot of people seem to go into a lot of depth about him. Erik has spent his entire life consumed by anger and grief. He’s been alone for so long, trusting no one and believing that all he has is his pain. Then Charles comes along and completely changes his world. Charles doesn’t just offer him help—he shows him compassion and gives him hope. That moment when Charles helps Erik unlock his powers through peace instead of rage is such a beautiful, intimate scene. Erik has never had someone get so close to him, someone who actually feels his pain and stays. You can see the shift in Erik’s face, like for the first time, he’s letting someone else in.
What’s so striking is how much Erik respects and admires Charles. He listens to him, trusts him, and even starts to believe in his dream of a better world, if only for a little while. Erik isn’t the kind of person who gives his loyalty or affection easily, but with Charles, it’s different. He wants to be near him, to fight alongside him. And the way he looks at Charles—so full of intensity and longing—it’s so obvious Erik has fallen for him completely. Charles represents everything Erik thinks he can’t have: kindness, hope, and love.
But Erik’s love for Charles is also what makes their eventual breakup so painful. Erik’s worldview is so shaped by his trauma that, in the end, he can’t let go of his belief that mutants need to fight to survive. Even when Charles begs him to stop, Erik can’t. And yet, you can tell he doesn’t want to hurt Charles. When he accidentally paralyzes him, you can see the devastation in his eyes. He stays by Charles’s side, cradling him, apologizing, almost desperate for him to understand. It’s not just guilt—it’s heartbreak. Erik loves Charles, but his love isn’t enough to overcome their differences, and it tears them both apart.

KNUCKLE VELVET
description:
“. . .Nothing hurts like you do. Like the way you say I love you.”
Following VI’s ‘betrayal’, the heartbreak, and cruelty that rests in her heart, she begins to embark on a path of full of physical and mental depravities that threaten to kill her tenfold.
That is, until you find her again.
⋄ ⊱ ❈ ⊰ ⋄
pairings: vi x reader, caitlyn x violet
word count: 1.4k
content warnings: angst, violence, denial of feelings, childhood friends to strangers to lovers, 3 parts series.
authors note: sorry for being gone for a little while !! I did not have any motivation to write but now it’s Christmas break so I’m hopeful I’ll write a little more <3 I hope you guys enjoy this have a good holidays 🌀 also my inspirations were knuckle velvet and the carpet ep by ethel cain - hence the chapter title and wip name :P ( also cross posted on ao3!! my user is joannasprose if u wanna read it there! It’s also linked in my navigation :) )
⋄ ⊱ ❈ ⊰ ⋄
Her knuckles are aching—swollen and bloody from her fights. Fights that were, at first to make money for herself, yet now has turned itself into something formally depraved. Perhaps another form of self-deprecation, of hurt and of the brutality in which she finds herself subjectedto.
Everything begins to hurt—the throbbing in her head, the pain of childhood melancholy, and most recently, a rebirthed heartbreak. The memory of Caitlyn's cruelty is wedged between her ribs, along with her fingers and in the wounds that won’t heal.
So maybe that’s what it is, her reasoning for putting herself on display: for digging her nails deep into her skin as her fists meet her next unfortunate opponent.
But as she lays half awake in her bed, reminding herself that she cannot help anyone if she won’t help herself, a prolonged breath leaves her mouth.
⋄ ⊱ ❈ ⊰ ⋄
YOU FIND YOURSELF sat in the stands, hands in your lap as the crowd's cheers begin at a simmer and slowly shape into a boil. The hairs on your skin have created goosebumps in anticipation, waiting unnervingly as you wait for her to enter the stage.
In all honesty, you feel a bit stalkerish. You had never found yourself trying to formally talk to her—in your defense, it had been seven years since then. Since everything went wrong and since everyone had changed. Yourself included.
And perhaps, if she had truly wanted to see you again, why hadn’t she come to find you. To scrape up the pieces of a broken love and pull you in her arms again? You try desperately to pull yourself out of your thoughts as you see her, finally, stepping out of the archway and in the attire you always saw her in.
To anyone else who might not have known her as well as you did, they might have brushed her off as just another Zaunite. One who raved in the spotlight and indulged in the delights Zaun had to offer. But you knew better.
You could see it in the indents of her skin—and though you had never come too close to her, your vision along with where you sat had been enough for you to recognize her anywhere. There were rumors that she had come back; rumors of her being in acquaintance with a piltie, others speaking of the havoc she’d caused around the streets of Zaun, sometimes even Piltover.
When you had first acknowledged them, your heart ached. For her, and then for Jinx, for Ekko. And sometimes, even for yourself.
The roars of the crowd hadn’t died down, in fact, they had grown louder when her opponent had finally come on stage. He was five times bigger than Vi in size, and usually, you hadn’t wondered whether or not she would win. Vi was a skilled fighter, fast on her feet, and level headed.
But now, as you watch her bring her balled fists up to her face, her eyes shuddering, her stance becoming wobbly as she puts her left foot in front of the other—you shamefully begin to wonder if she could truly win it, with the way she looks now.
In the first round, and even half of the second, she had the high ground. Blood was split, from his face and from her knuckles. But slowly, her movements had begun to deter, the sways becoming a more prominent factor in it all. And in the split of a second, one dipped in blood and in alcohol—his fist met her face and she’d hit the ground.
You couldn’t help but bring a hand to your mouth as a gasp left your throat. She didn’t get up, not this time. But her limp body laid there, unmoving on the ground as the crowd counted. All you could do was there, all you could do was watch as someone unknown to you, lifted her off the ground, and carried her out of the ring.
For whatever reason, seeing her like this pained you more than anything. In truth, you didn’t like the fact that she was doing this to herself. Nothing good had come out of it. In your eyes, she didn’t look happy or grateful from the outcome.
Just tired and hurt.
And so there you found yourself, standing from your spot and sifting through the crowd. Some cursed at you for blocking the view as the man below gloated his victory—but you didn’t care for it. Desperate to find her.
But you stop at your tracks at your realization. Find her and say what? You think to yourself.
You’d been gone, she’d been gone. She’s moved on so what is there left to say? But you push your hurt and questions aside, resuming your hair and leaving out the doors the brawling scene.
When times had become unbearable, much like this one, you found yourself thinking of the past.
⋄ ⊱ ❈ ⊰ ⋄
THE NIGHT IS how it should be. Your body pressed up against hers as the wind whistles, as those grueling goosebumps come around as they always have, and as Vi speaks, “Are you even listening?” She asks, looking down to your face resting on her shoulder, a crooked smile on her lips.
“Of course I am,” you say, smiling as she rolls her eyes.
“Oh sure,” she begins, trailing off before resuming, “what was I talking about then?” An even wider smile finds itself on your face—recalling the moments prior to this one.
“Um…the intricacies of…structures?” It’s silent until a laugh pulls itself from Vi’s throat, the pearls in her gums taking their place on stage as she speaks, “seriously? Did you even try?”
You pull yourself away from her, slapping her shoulder playfully as you bite your lip, “Dude! Can you blame me? It's freezing cold out here. My skin might freeze and fall off my bones.”
Vi hums in response, turning her attention to the city—the buildings that stand oh so firmly, all beautifully made in their own ways.
The silence is evident. Apparent enough to make you anxious as you take it all in.
Giving into the silence, you speak, “Vi? What’s wrong?” You follow the path that her eyes lead to. But to no avail, all you find are scattered lights and people who look like ants compared to the both of you.
“Nothing I just…” she says, beginning to bring a hand to ear to her, a sheepish smile on her lips now as you look at her. “I just don’t want this to end,” she says and then she looks at you. With a look of endearment and love and anything you’ve found yourself dreaming of.
“Promise me you won’t change. Promise me you’ll always be with me.” A smile finds itself on your lips as you lift a hand to her cheek, watching as she closes her eyes and grabs your wrist, gently.
“I promise. I won’t change. Not now, not ever.”
You say, genuinity laced across your lips.
Because it was true. It was, you’d truly meant it.
———
It hadn’t been that hard to find her.
A turn down an alleyway and you saw her.
Alone and slumped against the bottom of the stairs. For a long moment, you just stared. Unsure of how to approach her and what to do. Even now, would she have remembered you? Even after all those years, thinking of her and wondering where she could have ended up, had she thought of you?
Or were you just simply another thing abandoned and forgotten.
Undermining that fact, you stalk towards her anyways, gently and with precaution.
Finally, as you’ve set closed, watching her heaving on the sets of stairs, you see her for what she is now: a raw, gaping wound.
Hesitantly, you lift your hand to her shoulder, desperately wanting to push her into a sitting position. But the moment your hand falls close to her skin, she reaches out her own to grab your wrist. Not gentle like it used to be, but harsh.
A startled breath leaves your throat, wanting to pull away but she still holds on to you.
Her vision is squirming, her eyes are looking in every direction before befalling you.
Before her hand loosens and is gentle once again, like you’ve always known.
But she’s let go of you now as she speaks, “y/n?”
to be continued. . .

Legit reasons why people expected a more satisfying conclusion to spn:
Dean’s long arc telegraphing a movement toward hope. He went from fatalistically believing the only happy ending he could ever get was Sam living a long life while Dean was doomed to die bloody and too soon to believing he could have his own happy ending too with toes in the sand and his closest people there (not just Sam).
Previous experience with spn’s powerful and effective and fuller storytelling
The fact that Dean deserved better than that rebar death at the hand of low budget vampmimes. Dean is the character most short-changed by the ending. People who care are not the ones out of line who don’t comprehend spn.
The fact that Sam deserved better than having every single arc he ever had dropped like a hot potato and all he got was a bad party city wig
The fact that Cas deseved better than to be shut out of the series finale after 12 seasons of being key to all the major mytharc plots and a crucial found family character close to Sam and Dean, especially dear to Dean.
The fact that spn wrote, right into the story, Chuck smirking and pleased about his unsatisfying, miserable, bleak ending while Becky denounced and analyzed why that wouldn’t work narratively and why fans would find it unsatisfying
The found family theme on spn which has been there the entire time and deserved better than to be vanished.
The fact of a global pandemic that screwed up filming of the series finale until all that was left was scraps of the full intention. We’re trying to grade an incomplete. People’s feelings about the finale are valid but otoh, it’s also trying to analyze it is like trying to infer from scraps of parchment what the whole text was about. Personally, I’ve come around to writing it off as an abberation and not forgetting all the good spn gave me along the way. spn deserves a second chance to tell a better ending.
The fact that stories do, in fact, have an obligation to create fulfilling, satisfying endings and people are in their right to object when this obligation fails. This doesn’t mean endings must be free of tragedy or bittersweet notes.
Actually, no, this is not about Sam and Dean and Cas move to the burbs, spec about endings that fall outside of likelihood and spn’s purview and that disregard the actual metaphysical systems the canon always had in place are a distraction. Unfortunately some people weaponized that and used it to start another war, full of their own low media literacy takes and arrogance, shaming others for a legitimate yearning for a more satisfying ending.
This is about spn fulfilling its story promises in a more satisfying way than the aired finale, within the genre and framework spn occupied.
spn was never the style of narrative that was about hopelessness, it was about hope.
It was Campbellian and heroic. spn being about monster hunting doesn’t mean it has no obligations to a fulfilling, satisfying ending that offers some comfort. Stories inspire people.
You can’t have it both ways. When fans keep talking about how spn helps give them hope and inspires them, you don’t turn around and start playing “it’s just fiction so it’s okay if the ending was unsatisfying to most of the fanbase.” You either respect the meaning the story has to people personally or you don’t. Make up your mind if you think the story matters or it doesn’t.
A majority of the fandom was left screwed over, and the people who keep insisting it’s perfect and that anyone who finds it unsatisfying is a Bad Fan keep on demonstrating their disdain for Dean, their ignorance and disregard for spn’s great overall themes, and their narrow-mindedness about spn. I’m not here to be the joy police, I could care less if they enjoyed the series finale, but the actual problem here is the continued aggression, shaming, attempts to stifle all dissent, and demanding universal acceptance of the series finale as “satisfying” via utterly fallacious arguments. They love to troll about it and crave drama because the unhappiness of other lanes pleases this minority who keeps banging on to claim they’re Everyone and all “Normal” fans.
Imagine being that far gone that you think anyone who craves a satisfying ending for a series so many fans are so deeply emotionally attached to after 15 seasons is a freak.
*raises glass* Onward to the future. Here’s to a more satisfying conclusion having its chance to get told in the revival.

MY SUPERMAN 2025 TEASER RANT
It took me to process the teaser (believe me I am still processing) but I have so much to say.
First I would like to talk about the ✨colors✨
The colors! Oh My Rao! for so long I was craving the bright colored Superman movie. I wanted colors that would hurt my eyes and capture my heart and Gunn gave us that.
There have been talks that since it was just the teaser they might brush up more, I wouldn't mind that. Just make it more golden tinted.
DAVIDDD!!!
Again the perfect choice! I know it's presumptuous but when I saw him stumbling through the crowd as Clark with his clumsy hands and curly hair with contrast with a brightly colored Superman suit having the lil curl and saving children. I KNEW I KNEW I FOUND MY CLARK/SUPERMAN. HE IS SO GONNA NAIL IT.
RACHEL ♥️💜
We didn't see Rachel much in action but I have had the pleasure of knowing her through other interviews and some other media. She talks so fast and she has that "ENERGY" to play Lois. So I know she is gonna be THE LOIS LANE. MY WIFE. MY LOVE 😭😭
Thanking Gunn again for giving her the purple outfit.
CLOIS!cLoIs!CLOISS!cloisssssssss
I felt the connection between them and they are gonna give me heart attacks (I am already having mini ones through these pics/teaser). The flying together moment! making out in the kitchen! staring deep into each other's souls while the world is ending! Stares while working at the planet! Giving each other hugs and being each other's hope during tough times! GIVE IT TO ME GIVE IT ALL TO ME.
And we already know there is no "2 people love triangle" so we would have other aspects of their relationship.
OUR MOVIE STAR KRYTO
Simply one of the best decisions to include him cuz we never had him on the big screen. That cape🥹 he just warmed my heart. My smile was so big when Superman whistled for him (can't get that whistle out of my head, I feel things) and he came running.
Our hero Krypto 🥰 nothing should happen to him! And that's a warning!
Lex Luthor
He hates Superman so much that we can feel him loathing. We all know Nicholas is gonna be great as Lex given how well he played the psychos before. And that shiny bald head gave me flash blindness🫡
There are also talks that there are gonna be Ultraman and Grodd(I like to think of Mallah)
Other ICONIC heroes
Mr Terrific is looking really terrific.
Hawkgirl can slay me anytime.
Guy Gardener and his bowl cut. That's it!
Debut of Metamorpho.
Fortress and Kelex
We are gonna get the actual crystal like fortress🤧🤧 just like Krypton atmosphere.
Also Kelex!!! he better be alright too.
Other thoughts
We are gonna get the entire daily planet crew!?!!!!
This kid is representing us. How much we need SUPERMAN!
The score
That "Superman superman" I can't get that out of my head. I randomly throughout the day start chanting superman's name...
That John Murphy's theme inspired by John Williams is fire 🔥🔥🔥
I am so happy that Gunn decided to make everything so comic-like/colorful yet feels so real and attractive. I missed these early 2000s vibes of fun movies.
I FELT a strong sense of HOPE while watching the teaser. Don't know what's gonna happen when I watch trailer and movie??
Mark my words : lives are gonna change, history will be created, souls and hearts gonna heal, we will have something to forward to everyday! I am so ready!!!

It's kinda funny see how people assume Jinx's encounter with alt!Ekko would go. But my guess is it all comes down to who gets switched places. If alt!Ekko was taken to the original Zaun, I think the two simply wouldn't keep in touch enough to create any synergy, as this Ekko would have to deal with his entire world being removed and still be in the place of someone who has dozens of people depending on him. But if it were the other way around, something more interesting could happen.
One of the bases for how Jinx relates to everyone close to her is the search for a constant source of affection. Where her actions, no matter how chaotic and destructive they are, do not change how she is seen by the people she cares about. She had that with Silco, she looked for that in Vi in S1, and for a period of time Isha also filled that role. And ironically, her being thrown into a world inhabited by the ghosts she desperately tried to overcome the pain she caused, but who unconditionally now loved her, would get on her nerves. Less Ekko, at least not in the same degree as the others. he was the constant between the two roles she has in life, and no matter how much she tried to exclude Powder from herself, for almost the entire series, Jinx has always shown herself incapable of truly putting an end to the people from her past.
There would be conflicts at least in the beginning, like OG Ekko had, but in that case they would more quickly turn to violence due to her attempts to refocus on the identity she has been acting on for years, trying to resist a world of constant reminders, of what she wanted to abandon, but given the alternative Powder's possible history with these nervous lapses after her sister's death, everyone around would act as they did originally and give her space, counting on Ekko to be there for her since he and Powder are close. And that's when we reach one of the flexion points, between OG and this alternative, I feel that the arc made by Ekko in ep7 has already been achieved by this alternative, or that things have simply moved at a much faster pace towards a reconciliation between Powder and Jinx in the same person for alt!Ekko.
From what little we know about this version of Ekko, it's not difficult to assume that everything that is integral to ours is easily transferred to this one, the Powder of this world fell in love with the same guy twice, funny. And another point, more difficult to recognize, is that in this case, like everything else in this world, we are dealing with an almost idealized version of what we knew. Remembering Powder's statement that she had never seen her Ekko give up anything.
This Ekko would not accept stagnation in an adverse situation, just trying to preserve the present, something that the original learned to change in himself, to overcome this flaw, citing that he had lost hope in Jinx and with that also in a better Zaun, just trying to keep his head above water. And just like in the show, the alternative would see that even Jinx overriding his girlfriend's personality, changing her name, her mannerisms, the core of who she is, what really attracts him to Powder would be a constant. And this fluidity, this ability to adapt, to accept change, more easily than the original, but also due to the lack of baggage that the relationship between this Ekko and Jinx has. It's easy to see that even with the sharp edges of Jinx's personality, he would adapt to this in order to help her with whatever problem she faced, even with the constant reprimands and threats. It would be less "I can fix her" and more like "She needs me to be there" something that he was experience when his Powder was grieving
And on the other hand, there is Jinx, who until act 2 of the second season, still has problems with her self-esteem, her identity, thanks to the certainty that she has dismissed or hated by the people she valued when Powder, since Vi's slap, and with that the understanding of her sister's rejection, and also the pain she is aware of causing the only other survivor of her past, Ekko. And she kept those two factors with her, those two truths, for almost the entire first season. Until the bridge fight
And this exchange of looks is referenced a few times. she is able to recognize that underneath all the anger, heartbreak and pain she sees in Ekko's eyes, he still sees her with affection. And her having to deal with a version that is capable of expressing this without the layers that submerge this feeling, would probably make her more skittish, but also much more exposed to this truth. And Ekko being more open to the way she wants to be seen would make their relationship much less thorny and violent than expected.

Hi! I saw that you've read Euthanasia, and I had a question after watching episode 7 of Spare Me Your Mercy. I'm curious about the framing of Boss' death and what space the novel gives to tease out the complexities of euthanasia and disability? As a disabled watcher, I come to discussions of euthanasia outside terminal illness quite wary. Though I'm certainly coming from a Western context where euthanasia and disability is a very sensitive topic and the conversation might look pretty different in Thailand. The framing in the show felt at the very least rushed in terms of building any nuance into the conversation so far, so I'm curious if and how the novel explores the complexities of this.
Hi Shane 💖
To be honest I think that the series is doing far better in terms of show the complexities than the books in terms of euthanasia (i know, unbelievable but bare with me for a second here friend).
So.... the biggest difference the series has made so far is changing the roles between Somsak and Boss. In the book, Somsak was the main culprit and Boss was his accomplice in the way that Boss/Boze also idolises Kan and his ideals -> Somsak convinced Boss to join him in his quest to euthanise patients.
And if you ask what Doctor Somsak's motivation is? There isn't more to it as much as he believes in the same thing as Kan and Kan coming to the hospital is now a future scapegoat for him.
In the novel, Kan also deliberately euthanised/murdered Dr. Somsak when he was in the hospital after they were both injured in their gun fight (similar to what happened to Boss) (pinging @waitmyturtles who may be interested to know that novel!Kan wasn't just a morally grey ass, he really did fuck up there and genuinely did not deserve to end up with Wasan where they left them in the first novel).
But there wasn't a dramatic conversation between them like how Boss asked Kan to do kill him. No, like novel!Kan straight up murdered Somsak to keep him from telling everyone his secret (granted it was his only murder and he did go to prison for it but yeah still novel!Kan was... something else).
So in this sense I think the series has already done much better with the topic of euthanasia, opening up more sides to the debates whereas the novel only touches upon euthanasia in a very surface level way to move forward with its the murder mystery plot.
It's doing it very clumsily for sure but for instance I like that Boss's background story represented how his mother got caregiver burnout and in a country where public healthcare is not as developed and there aren't much welfare or support schemes for people living in rural areas, it's not uncommon to see this seemingly selfish thinking from people around terminally ill/permanently disabled people. It's selfish and inherently discriminatory but it's a raw representation of the painfully ugly mindset people may harbour but will never say it out loud in public.
I'm in no way defending this series by the way, I'm simply saying that if you're looking for more nuances and complexities on the topic of euthanasia in the novels, they're definitely not going to offer that. I would say that the novels offer more complexities in the development of the relationship between Kan and Wasan because it's constructed in a way that's much more believable for reader audience.
The series... I think EP.7 tried a little too much with incorporating assisted suicide into euthanasia which is only going to make it much more controversial.
I hope these little novel spoilers help and answer some of your questions. I really can't offer anything from the novels in terms of disability because it wasn't even mentioned once ಥ_ಥ

Spoilers for Sonic 3. This is just a rant. I just really want to get my thoughts out there and everything off my chest because I am just so upset, like really really upset. I am shocked I have heard nothing but praise for this movie. It really got my hopes up. I really didn't like the other ones. I'm not a big fan of the live action plus animated characters combo, The characters still look super uncanny and weird to me. I also really don't like Jim Carrey, I realllllly reallly don't like him. I don't find him funny at all. He's got kind of that millennial humor where it seems he thinks making weird faces and acting goofy is the peak of humor. Idk if younger kids find that funny, I feel like I wouldn't even as a kid. But I especially don't like it now, I'm just old man, I'm tired. I really wanted this movie to be a little more mature. Shadow Generations did such a good job. Dark Beginnings was amazing. I wish this movie could have felt more like that.
These movies just don't feel like Sonic at all. I know everyone gets sick of people complaining about Sonic's personality in these. But I think those are valid complaints. He just doesn't act or feel like Sonic and I don't think anything they do can make me view him as Sonic.
I just can't get over the whole Sonic the other characters being aliens from a different planet thing. It makes it hard to introduce other characters. And it completely changed who Sonic is. And now it's changed who Shadow is. Shadow is now just Sonic but edgy. He's just Sonic but if he got caught and put in a lab instead of living by himself and later getting adopted by humans. They took the Shadow being a darker version of Sonic thing literally. They changed everything about his backstory all while talking about how they wanted to do his backstory right.
It just hurts so much. I know I shouldn't be so affected by this. But I have been a fan of the Sonic franchise for so long and Shadow has always been one of my favorite characters of all time. And it hurts to have had my hopes up for this movie even a little bit thinking it would at least be better than the others and be so so disappointed. Maybe I don't have a right to complain because I didn't actually finish watching it. I started crying and ended up leaving around 45 mins in. Really embarrassing. I just couldn't enjoy it. I really really didn't like the Jim Carrey parts, they were painful. I was willing to sit though them because I wanted to see Shadow's backstory brought to screen in a big movie. But then then they explain his backstory and it's nothing like the games.
He crashed to earth in a comet. He wasn't created by Gerald. Maria wasn't sick. They didn't live on Space Colony Ark. I was so confused. I never even considered that they would change any of this. I thought the gun commander was just lying to Sonic about where Shadow came from so Sonic would work for them or something. But then they show the flashback with Maria and it's still the same. I ended up quickly looking up on my phone it they changed his backstory for this movie and they did. I just don't get why. I've seen people say because it wouldn't make sense in the movie universe because in the movies Sonic and friends are aliens. So they decide to just make Shadow an alien just like them?? I feel like they could have made his backstory work somehow. They didn't even try. Now he's just a literal dark parallel to Sonic. He's always been so but not like this. Do they think the most important part of his backstory is that he was in a lab, there was a professor and also a little girl he was friends with that gets killed.
It just kills me that they changed everything about Maria. She's not sick??? I guess if she's not sick it makes no sense for Gerald to have been researching a way to cure her or anything. I hate it so much. Shadow being just an alien takes away so much depth from all of their characters. Maria is the reason Shadow exists in the first place. She was so important. Their relationship was so important. It feel so much more meaningful for Shadow to have been created by her grandfather to cure her, than him just being some alien she was friends with. Her being sick but also so kind and hopeful was so important. She gets killed by the government when they raided a place that was trying to find a cure for her and she still tells Shadow to protect the people of earth. Maria was so important but now she's just some kid he was friends with I guess. I hate that they took away her sickness and her disability. I loved that the journal that came with Sonic x Shadow Generations portrayed that more. I loved that they showed it actually affecting her. I loved them showing her in the wheelchair hooked up to the iv bag but she was still smiling. She was still strong and hopeful despite everything and she still wanted Shadow to protect the earth despite what happened. And this movie took all that away from her character. I hate it.
Them just living on earth on some base makes me so upset. I was excited to see them on the Space Colony Ark. I wanted to see them looking out the window of the ark at the earth but instead I get them laying in the grass looking at the stars. Maria was so tragic because she loved the earth so much but she couldn't be there because she was sick. They took all of those parts of her character away.
I don't know how Professor Gerald was portrayed all I've seen of him was what was in the trailers and the brief glimpse I got before I left and I've hated everything I've seen. Gerald has never been as silly a character as Eggman. But it seems like Jim Carrey was playing him exactly the same. I assume he changes and acts different towards the end but my impression of him was already ruined. What's the point of him if he didn't create Shadow as a way to cure his granddaughter. It takes away so much from his character. He was also a tragic character. Him trying to do good with his research but then using his creation, Shadow as a weapon against humanity after his granddaughter is killed even after his death is ruined. He's still alive and he didn't create Shadow. I hate it so much. It's not as tragic with him still being alive. Did they have him still be alive so Jim Carrey could play double the annoying wacky roles. Gerald Robotnik is supposed to be a sad tragic old man but all I got was Jim Carrey in goofy looking prosthetic makeup.
Look I know it's a kids movie but couldn't they at least of made it a little less silly. The games were also kids games. Shadow Generation was also a kids game but it did a way better job with handling these characters. Maria and Gerald were Shadow's family. Gerald was his dad, sort of, I hate that they changed that. I guess Maria was still like family with him in this (idk what his relationship with Gerald was I didn't watch that far) but it's not the same.
I loved the Space Colony Ark, I loved it being some research lab up in space. What about artificial chaos, the biolizard, emerl??? None of that is a thing in these movies. It just sucks sooo much. Everything I love about the games is not in this movie. I couldn't finish watching it because I was so upset about the changes. It was bothering me so much it made Jim Carrey so much more insufferable. I am wondering if Shadow still has some connection to the Black Arms because he did fall to earth in a suspicious looking comet. I don't know if I even care because they already took away all the most important parts of his backstory.
Shadow's backstory being changed also kind of ruined the whole Sonic and his powers being sort of a natural force of nature thing and Shadow and his power being a man made thing. Like Shadow is always claiming to be the ultimate life form but he almost can't live up to Sonic's natural talent. It makes their rivalry so much more interesting. I also hate them having such similar backstories here. Sonic is supposed to be unburdened, free as the wind, living in the present, we don't even know what his backstory is. While Shadow is nothing but backstory, haunted by the past and burdened with tragedy.
Movie Sonic is nothing like game Sonic. There is very little that I love about game Sonic present in movie Sonic. I hate that since movie Sonic has a backstory they decided to take most of Shadow's backstory away so he would parallel Sonic. They really just made him Sonic but not nice.
I've just wanted to see a fully animated Sonic movie for years. I've especially wanted to see Sonic Adventure 2 adapted as an animated movie. These movies ruined my chance of seeing that. I thought this movie would be as close as I'd ever get to seeing SA2 in movie form. But there was nothing about it that was similar. Shadow may have the right personality but he has none of his backstory. Sonic isn't anything like Sonic. Tails is Tails I guess. I don't really care much about Knuckles but he doesn't even feel similar to his game counterpart.
I really hate everything they are doing with this movies. It's fine if people like them. I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion. I just really wanted to write how I feel about them because this one really upset me. I've cried a lot because of it. Which is silly I know. Shadow's character was important to me and so was Maria and it hurts so see so much changed about it. I had a dream a couple nights ago that I was watching this movie in theaters. In the dream there was some kind of change I didn't like and the movie was really short and I was really disappointed about it. I remember being upset about it because it sucked so bad. And the same thing happened when I actually saw the movie. They changed a lot and it was short because I left early. I just usually don't get excited for things because they usually disappoint me. I was kinda looking forward to this one and the good reviews didn't help. I was probably more excited than I realized because I did dream about it multiple times. I was disappointed in every dream. Usually when I am looking forward to something I have dreams about the thing where it sucks. I never been this thoroughly disappointed though. I think this is going to ruin my enjoyment of the Sonic franchise, everytime I see anything Sonic I think this movie and the disappointment that came with it is going to pop into my head.
Something that really bothers me is this quote from the director.
They didn't want too many characters so they could get Shadow's backstory right??? They got nothing about it right. I wish they wouldn't have added Gerald in the movie. He felt unnecessary. I would have much rather have had Rouge than another Jim Carrey. Rouge is important to Shadow's character. She was introduced in the same game. I hate that she was just sidelined like that. Them talking about how they wanted to do Shadow's backstory right just got my hopes up too much.
The lead up to the movie made me more excited than I should have been I guess. I preordered Sonic x Shadow Generations when it was announced. I played it when it came out, it had everything I loved about Shadow's character in it. I went to the Sonic Symphony this November. I felt like this movie, even if it wasn't great would at least be a fun way to end all of that. But it really just left me feeling awful.
I'm sure these movies have been great for the Sonic franchise. The money made from them probably helps them make better games. They've probably introduced a more people and kids to the Sonic franchise. I just kinda hate that this is the version they are introduced to.
I'm just so upset but I keep thinking something's wrong with me because everyone else seems to be enjoying it but I just can't. I don't think I am going to be watching any more of these movies, this one killed any interest.

Yes, I have a lot to work on. BUT ALSO mean Marco. So. I'll pop it on Ao3 later as an OS.
It's fun to be mean.
TW: DEAD DOVE, NON CON, mean mean Marco, Victorian asylum AU, medical mistreatment, forced exhibitionism
The clacking of shoes on the tiled floor made you perk up your head as far as it would go with the restraints. You’d been defiant that morning and had bitten the orderly when he tried to feel your breasts during your morning “treatment.” You regretted your actions - the orderly had then stripped you down and dressed you in a medical gown before putting you in full restraints to the narrow hospital bed. Your arms and legs ached from being stretched in the same position for so long and your neck was bound to the bed as well, making looking in any direction other than up difficult. You had a gag in your mouth to ensure you didn’t bite anyone else and it was making your jaw ache while drool pooled in your mouth. You’d been staring at the blank white ceiling for hours, finally feeling like you had the “insanity” that your family claimed was your ailment.
You’d been in the asylum for months - or so you thought, it was difficult to keep track of time from your windowless room. Your family had wanted you to marry Marco “the Phoenix” Newgate, the handsome doctor who ran the asylum. He had gotten his nickname for being so skilled in medical treatment that he’d brought many patients back from the brink of death. Marco was from a large and wealthy family, the first son of the Newgate magnate. You didn’t care, there was something in the doctor’s eyes that gave you pause, some base part of your reptilian brain telling you to run. You couldn’t shake the feeling that he was a predator and the hair on the back of your neck rose whenever he kissed your hand chastely. Your parents accused you of having hysteria for not wanting to marry such a well respected, handsome and intelligent bachelor. Ever the gentleman, Marco “The Phoenix” said he would honor the original arrangement, that he would see to your treatment personally in his own luxury sanatorium. Thus your family had checked you into the sanatorium against your will and he’d been tending to you ever since.
Society was abuzz with how kind the doctor was to love someone as silly as you, how incredibly lucky you were that the blond doctor would make you his wife after your illness had concluded. There were more sordid whispers that the doctor was a skilled lover, that he was a veritable angel in bed. But you knew better - you knew the doctor was a demon sent from hell. You hated seeing his half lidded eyes as they watched you succumb to his treatments, his very presence made your skin crawl. There was nothing to do - you were stuck in the sanatorium until he said you were mentally fit. And you suspected that day might never come.
Still, you held onto a naive hope that the sound was the nurses coming to check on you and give you a sip of water. As the reverberating sounds of chatter reached your ears, you heard the low voice that made an unbidden shiver run down your spine. Closing your eyes, you held on to one last shred of hope that they’d continue down the hallway to torture someone else for a change. The jingle of the door handle had your heart beating faster and faster as the creaking door opened.
“Which of course, brings us to the patient here yoi,” the doctor said, speaking only to his medical students. He rarely spoke to you directly in front of others, preferring to talk to you during your personal night treatments. Your nipples hardened even as you tried pulling against your restraints in vain. He had you trained well, one of his best and most responsive patients, he said. He always said it was a shame that you had to linger in the Psychiatric Hospital with how lovely you were, but he simply couldn’t release you until your hysteria had cleared.
Walking closer to your bed, the doctor pulled a stool to the front of your bed and snapped his fingers to the orderlies who had come into the room with him. You tried to stop the whimper that left your throat as they adjusted your bindings so your legs were in the stirrups attached to the end of the bed. You’d tried fighting at this point many times before but the only effect was the further tightening of the straps on the stirrups, securing your legs in an even harsher grip. Doctor Marco turned the crank to the stirrups, opening them as far as they would go. Your already aching legs protested sharply but you didn’t make any noise; you knew from experience that the Doctor didn’t appreciate it when you did. Cold air hit your bald pussy as Marco hummed in approval.
Sitting on the low wooden stool, Doctor Marco slotted himself between your now open legs, your bare pussy on display to the assorted medical students crowding around him. You’d been shaved personally by Marco to better allow the students to see your anatomy, he said. Even though this treatment had been given to you many times before, shame brought a flush to your face as you heard Doctor Marco snap gloves on his hands. At least you could only stare up this time, you didn’t have to watch the medical students become engrossed in your torture.
“Unfortunately this patient has to be completely restrained due to her temperament. She was brought to the hospital a few months ago by her family, her hysteria causing her to be completely unmanageable. And who can tell the group the cure for female hysteria yoi?” the doctor asked. You already knew the answer, you’d heard parts of this lecture many times over.
“Yes?” the Doctor said, indicating a student who had raised his hand.
“Prophylactic enemas?” one student answered, making your shudder. Doctor Marco ran a hand down your thigh as a means to soothe you but it only made you quiver more.
“No, though this patient does receive those as well to induce colo-rectal compliance. Any other answers?” Doctor Marco asked the assembled students. You heard no other students speak and Doctor Marco sighed, causing your panic to rise immediately. You tried to close your legs out of instinct for what you knew was coming, but Doctor Marco slapped your inner thigh.
“It seems your professors have been remiss in their classroom instruction yoi. But that’s what practical rotations are for. The patient needs to be brought to repeated orgasm in order to quell her hysteria. Observe,” the doctor said, bringing his hands closer to your cunt. You whined and tried to move away but were so tightly bound there was no movement you could make to shift from the Doctor’s wicked hands.
“You see, she is already moving in an attempt to avoid treatment. Many patients with hysteria behave this way but you can guide them back to health with a firm hand,” Marco said, punctuating his sentence with a slap to your pussy. “Don’t feel the need to be soft with them, poor handling is what got the dears into this mess in the first place,” Marco said as he spread your pussy lips apart and held them in place with his long fingers. Marco hadn’t done anything yet but your body had been through this procedure many times before and just the touch of his finger was enough to start your body’s reaction. You started to get wet, your slick pooling at the top of your thighs.
“As you can see, moisture is already dripping from her body to prepare for the cure to her ailment. This patient is particularly responsive which is why I prefer for medical students to observe her. Now this,” Doctor Marco said, pinching your clit, making you yelp, “is her clitoris. It contains the highest concentration of nerve endings in the female body. And most physicians believe that the fleshy nub is the sum total of the clitoris - but that is not the case. It actually has a larger area than that, spanning around the clitoris in an almost circular formation, though you will always get the best reaction from touching the clitoris directly.” Marco began stroking your clit with his gloved fingers, taking moisture from your leaking hole before continuing his ministrations.
“You may have noticed I used her own fluids as lubrication. That is preferable and we will get to the vaginal canal momentarily. For the moment, watch and observe.” With deft fingers, Doctor Marco began rubbing your clit in a practised fashion as he had so many times before. He knew your body like it was his own, playing you like a violin. He stroked with consistent pressure, rubbing you in small circles to the rapt attention of the students. You mewled against your will from behind the gag, small cries spilling from your lips as he continued to tease you. Your humiliation grew with your wetness as he continued to play with you to the endless intrigue of the students.
Doctor Marco was keeping you primed but never quite achieving release as he once again turned to his students. You tried to move your hips towards his hand in hopes of ending the session but the Doctor simply stopped stroking you, leaving only the hand still holding your lips apart.
“There are many potential treatments available at this juncture - you can bring the patient to the brink of orgasm but deny it at the last moment. This is effective as behavioral modification in addition to relieving hysteria. I once kept this patient engaged but unable to orgasm for five hours and at the end she was most agreeable to anything I suggested.” You shuddered as you remembered the event, you had cried and screamed for hours, begging for relief, for the doctor to stop, for God to strike you down from above, for anything other than the Doctor’s hands and mouth. It was brutal but luckily Marco saved it for those times when you were “non-compliant,” and “defiant.” You hoped today’s treatment didn’t include the same.
“You may also wish to cause several orgasms in short succession. This is likely to cause immediate distress to the patient but positive long term results. It is also a much shorter treatment duration than withholding orgasm which can be useful if you need to treat many patients. Today I’d like to demonstrate this technique for your edification.” Tears pooled on your lash line as you heard the announcement. You had been praying to any god that would listen for one orgasm at the hands of the doctor, the shortest treatment he gave you. Marco began stroking you gently again, this time pushing two of his thick fingers into you and bending them. Your toes curled as he forced your reaction.
“You can tell she is eager for release from her keening noises, the constriction of her vaginal canal, and the curling of her toes. If she were a better behaved patient you would be able to hear more of her lewd sounds as well. It is possible to see the constrictions from the outside but in clinical practice one should feel it manually yoi. Would anyone like to volunteer to identify the sensation?” You paled as you heard the Doctor’s question - this was something new. He’d never allowed the students to touch you during a treatment before. In your heart you knew this was retribution for not kissing him back the night before during his private session. But there wasn’t anything you could feasibly do to change the outcome of your current situation.
“You yoi. Come forward,” Marco said, handing a glove to whatever student he had selected. You heard another glove snapping on and short, limp fingers begin to prod at your opening.
“That’s it, push inside, she’s ready,” Doctor Marco instructed, the hand surging forward. The student was clumsy, nothing like Marco’s long skilled fingers. You felt multiple hands on you as Doctor Marco began stroking once more while holding your pussy open on display. The student was bothering you, pushing too weakly and inconsistently for you to enjoy the sensation. You whined in pain as he jabbed you with a stabbing motion rather than the smooth thrusts of the Doctor. Despite the jerks of the student’s hand you could feel yourself moving towards orgasm once more as Doctor Marco gave your clit more focused attention.
“Can you feel her canal gripping you?” Doctor Marco asked the student as he applied more pressure to your clit. After another moment of clumsy fingers moving about in you, Marco removed the hand of the student from within you. You sighed in relief as the painful sensations ended.
“No, no, you need more practice. You are showing hesitancy yoi. You need to remain in control, you are the doctor and she is the patient. Do not give her quarter to defy you. Allow me to demonstrate, this time using three fingers rather than the two from before. She can be quite wanton, you have to ensure she is satisfied,” Marco said, replacing the student’s fingers with his own. His large fingers stretched you as he worked them into you, pushing and curling his middle finger. You mewled loudly as he brushed your sweetest spot over and over again, still playing with your clit all the while. Panting, you felt the tension in you rising as you were brought closer and closer to orgasm, the students taking notes on your flushed form and leaking pussy.
“I am stroking her Grafenberg spot, hence her intense reaction yoi. The clitoris can be stimulated simultaneously to produce orgasm as you'll see in just a moment. Come closer, I believe this patient is nearing their precipice.” You heard shuffling feet moving towards you as you strained against your bindings. Marco was stroking inside you with every pump of his fingers and rubbing your engorged clit, bringing you to close yet another unwanted orgasm. The loud squelching sounds of his fingers drowned out the murmurs of the medical students as they watched you curiously.
“You can see her lubrication is increasing moment by moment. Her muscles are tense and she is straining against her bindings, those are all signs to look for. Ah, here she goes. Watch, I’ll give her a little spank and she’ll orgasm.” With that Marco slapped your clit and as if on command, you came around his fingers, screaming from behind your gag. Your vision went white as he continued to stroke and pump within you as you came, dragging out the sensation as long as possible. You were breathing heavily, trying to catch your breath as he removed his fingers. He parted your lips again, rubbing at your engorged clit with his thumb. You whined and started crying, the sensation too raw and close to your previous orgasm.
“See how compliant she is? She has become increasingly docile and relaxed after many such treatments. Right now we are not letting her rest, she will be brought to another orgasm shortly by my hand,” Marco said, looking down at your face. He noted your tears with a smirk, reaching for your face to wipe them away. Unable to move, he brushed away the tears before taking your face in his hand.
“Perhaps later we can have a practical lesson and you students can take turns giving the patient her treatment under my supervision. Wouldn’t that be lovely, dear?” Marco said, addressing you directly for the first time. You looked up into the Doctor’s heavy lidded eyes, fear clouding your expression even as another orgasm built within you.
“Yes, she’s quite a needy patient. She will need many more treatments to ensure her mental health returns. Isn’t that so darling?” Marco said, looking you in the eyes.
“But I have personally dedicated myself to healing her. She can stay in the asylum for treatment as long as she needs.”

The world deserves to see my funky brain do backflips over something as simple as a Drawing Prompt
@liliththequeenofdemon was hosting some contest to draw fav characters as Krampus, I don't really mind what place I get as I was purely invested in making a Krampus Mr.Puzzles. this man is turning in my head 24/7 on loop and I cooked up a whole ass Concept for what he would be like as Krampus
Enjoy
Surface Level- Sweet and Affectionate (as possible)
He was put into the world to punish bad children while Santa gave gifts to those who were good! But Puzzles didn't want to hurt people, in fact he was jealous of Mr.Cringle... why does he get to make everyone happy while HE is left with the leftovers? So instead of doing his job, Puzzles seeks out bad children who are about to fall under some monsters cruel fate and Rescue them.
He gives bad kids a second or even a third chance to change their behavior bc he simply wants to see them smile and get credit for it
He actively hides all his monstrous attributes as he doesn't want to scare nor harm the children, and while he does his absolute best to rescue kids from a life of bad decisions hes not really... GOOD at talking to people, he doesn't understand how the kid feels and thus doesn't know how to give them advice. Hes also some type of deity so like- how does he help a kid with something like too much homework?
He'll give kids ⭐Spying Stars⭐ in order to keep an eye on them more closely, maybe get an idea of why they're being so rotten and interject himself into their life where he can. Sometimes he helps and sometimes he just makes their lives harder... His heart is in the right place but there's a reason this stuff was left to Santa and not him.... But he never sees Santa helping kids, he just rewards good behavior then disappears! So ofc Puzzles sees this as an opportunity to get close to people himself
Even though he just wants to see people smile he is still prone to getting angry easily, he especially hates it when he manages to help someone out but they never tell his story... Hes not popular or loved like Santa they just forget him and what he did to help which can lead to- kidnapping or worse,,,,
Some deity have mercy on you if he is genuinely trying to help some kid and you attack him for it- he will lose all composure immediately.
He just wants the world to be a better and happier place and is really frustrated none of his efforts do anything and when they DO nobody acknowledges him!!
Very easily pissed off, even if hes mostly gentle and tries to be kind he will snap in an instance to murder mode and actually do his damn job if he feels the wrath not ending.
Whelp hope you enjoyed my Krampus Mr.Puzzles idea im going to evaporate into mist now

Ok, I know nobody liked JJK's ending, but after a long time thinking about it, I changed my mind. Not because of powerscaling or anything like that, but because of Gege's hopepunk message.
Let me explain: most people think, or at least thought when they started it, that JJK was a grimdark story. For those who don't know:
Grimdark is a genre in which the world is dystopian or hopeless, ammoral and violent, generally with a lot of death and sadness and no good ending to be seen.
Hopepunk is a genre/philosophy in which, even though there is darkness and death and sadness, there can be a good ending through the character's fight, kindness and a general hope that, even though things are dark, they can be better.
Now that it's explained, let me dissert:
When we first see the jjk world, it is very dark, with horrible curses that haunt all characters and that are originated from bad feelings, which is something humans can never get rid of. The characters' power comes from curses and there is no way to definitely stop all of this (hence why Geto lost his mind). People die due to curses everyday and, even with the best efforts from everyone, you can never stop it definitely. It looks like a pretty grimdark setting.
This is continuously reinforced to us over and over, until... that one scene in Shibuya where Itadori kills Mahito.
Itadori, ultimately, forgives him. He forgives the one who's killed people he loved and who will never regret his inhuman acts towards innocent people. And yet, Itadori forgives Mahito. He forgives the one deemed to be unforgivable because he understands Mahito is not able to change because he is a curse. It is not his fault to have been born that way, and he even apologizes for having to kill him. Because he understands none of them has true fault in their acts, but he still need to kill him due to this understanding that Mahito will never change and therefore needs to be stopped before he hurts more people.
This scene is forgotten for a while, until the very polemic ending.
This scene does not happen again because Mahito and Sukuna are different. Mahito is a curse, Sukuna is a human. Mahito can't change his nature, but Sukuna can.
We get the Itadori and Sukuna talk and we see how much Itadori has changed and evoluted since the start. Before, he wanted to be able to save everyone. To hurt all of those who hurt others. But he is not like that anymore. He understands he can't save everyone and that those who hurt others must be stopped, not hurt.
He went through a lot of suffering. He thought he saw Nobara and Nanami die and also had just saw his teacher and his brother get killed by Sukuna.
And yet, he does the extremely powerful thing to choose to not hate Sukuna because he felt way too much hatred towards Mahito and learned that it didn't help at all. He even pitied Mahito back then for not being able to change at all.
He talks to Sukuna and realizes Sukuna is a humand and therefore can change, he just doesn't want to. And he pities Sukuna because of that. He choses not to hate him for that, but feel sorry for him.
And when he manages to reach for Megumi and finds out Nobara is alive, he realizes that he hasn't lost everything. He still has them. Megumi realizes that too. He's lost his family, but he still decides to go on and try to live.
And, when Sukuna is defeated, Itadori gives him a chance to change one last time. He knows Sukuna won't regret, but he can still change. And, even as Sukuna doesn't change, Itadori doesn't hate him.
I think jjk's ultimate message is: there are problems we'll never be able to get rid of completely. There are bad things that will happen and that we can't stop. There will be sadness and pain and violence and death. But even when the world and the people are cruel and horrible and hateful, we need to put all of our strenght into not hating. Into trying to be better. Into trying to overcome our pain and living on. Because, even if you think you've lost everything, maybe you haven't. Maybe you are just blinded by sadness. And even if you did lose everything, you can try and live and go on again. Itadori's hope, love and forgiveness saved his heart, his soul, his friends and his world. And everyone worked together for their world to be better.
BTW this was all thanks to this amazing song:

BLOG MOVE!
Long overdue, blog has become a complete mess, Hoping to enter 2025 with some more positive energy by being able to pre-empt blocking some real freaks out there who like to lurk on my page and a better focus on ic!
What this is going to look like:
Fresh transfer to a new blog, though I will slow drip in what people would prefer be transferred over*. Mild rework of muse page to remove muses that no longer or never generated interest. A tighter focus on what sparks joy for me as much as for my partners bc tbh i got kind of exhausted being 'the x person' or not feeling that all muses were regarded as equal in different fandoms.
Timetable:
I'm going to spend the next few days I have off doing the heavy lifting of actual coding/aesthetics/test posting, and so on. Over time, I will be finalizing my carrd to have more in depth information for all muses, as well as the easy-access mobile muse page for people who just want it short or sweet. I also intend to ensure each muse has a fully functional tag system before moving bc these same named bitches w a tbt appended are killing me. Is this Charlotte from B*rserk or Charlotte from Debede? Shut up past Kadi I'm going to kill you. This hopefully means I will be fully ready to go in early-mid January if not a little sooner. For now, I will still be semi-active/lurking here just grabbing everything I need, and will let you all know when that changes.
What's coming with me:
Dynamics/Ships
Headcanons
Most of you hopefully!
Probably most muses
Most fandoms, with a few greatly expanded character-wise
Any threads people want me to transfer*
Any IC or meta asks people want me to transfer*
*The focus at the start is on just setting a new daily writing habit, which means I will likely focus on new threads and asks to start. However, I don't intend to totally abandoned some threads that have been plotted or even just interest me. The main point is that I will put those on the back burner until I can give them the focus and energy they deserve. If there is a thread or ask you want on rotation moving forward, please fill out this form so I can hold on to it :D
If you 100% want to remain mutuals the new blog like this post and I will follow you once it's identifiable as mine/not a bot.

whooo I finished ep 4 and 5 of The Heart Killers
I still don't like Kant, I'm warming up to Bison, still obsessed with FadelStyle, and I want Style carnally.
I'm also really interested in how they're using the music and soundtrack to emphasize the emotions of some scenes.
This post is about to be longer than my usual since it's covering two eps but anyway
Spoilers under the cut !
Me when I overanalyze my BL:
First and foremost, that pat down scene in ep 4 where Fadel maintained eye contact with Kant as he searched him... How do u put that there and expect ppl to not imagine things, Jojo..... 😫 Even the goofy music in the background couldn't dissuade me from thinking they should hate fuck ☝️ but anyway
It's very obvious that while Style isn't fully committed and his feelings for Fadel are just starting to bloom, he definitely wants that man. Atp where we are in ep 4 he's obviously lusting after that man (face economy, body tea). I mean he gave him, apparently, the best sex of his life in a grief meeting storage room. He let the man cut his little crop top off. The lust of it all is so real. But I think now, after the chase, after spending more time with him, especially after hearing how Fadel was asking where he was, he's pursuing Fadel with more sincere intentions and I think he truly wants to know Fadel more. And lord have mercy, that scene in the woods.
That scene in the abandoned warehouse in the woods, aside from the iconic "I don't like that I miss you", is when I first noticed the soundtrack specifically highlighting the emotions. Now, I know soundtracks are meant to do that but I think they're doing it in a really fun way IDK They put a lighthearted cute, and low-key hopeful, little tune over a heated make out and handjob. It felt like it reflected their emotions in that moment really well and how the audience is meant to see the scene. It's not just a hot and heavy make out session because yay official, it's an indicator of a turning page, especially for Fadel. It's a signal that he can get butterflies in his stomach too, even with his enormous walls and stoic mask (defense mechanism), and I'm sticking to that interpretation. I love u my emotionally and sexually repressed little hitman.
And then Kant came in and decided NOW is the perfect time to finally tell his friend that oh yeah ur new bf is a hitman. It's not even that part that actually annoyed me, it's the little quip when Style says gunman instead of hitman. Like I'll kill u with a gun Kant. 😭
I fear I may never truly warm up to him, he is so annoying to me. 😔
Okay so ep 5, I kind of warmed up to Bison. He's cute he's fun, he's totally ignoring his instincts about Kant even tho he knows better. He seems less than helpful in most scenarios though, but whatever
There were two scenes that caught my attention and they were obviously meant to:
1) Kant and Bison post coital cuddles
2) Style and Fadel's intimacy towards the end of the ep
I'm mostly talking about the music again and the intentional use (or absence) of it. During the KantBison scene, when Bison is being so gentle with his kisses and telling Kant tender words, the music reaches a subtle crescendo once Bison says he feels like his life is changing since he met Kant and the camera lands right in Kant's distressed face. It was a great way to signal that Kant is gonna face the music very soon. I found that fun and I had to rewind a couple times just to make sure I wasn't making it up in my head. Could just be a transition sound choice, but I'm reading into it.
The KantBison scene felt like a big contrast next to the FadelStyle scene to me. At this point I think they're both feeling more than they're letting on for each other. Fadel and Style's night is, mostly, quiet. There's no backtrack for the most part. Fadel is splayed out in the bed just watching Style take his shirt off, exposing himself more than Fadel, and caging Fadel in by crawling on top of him. Style is on top of him kissing him, doing what he wants to, and Fadel is letting him. Style is telling Fadel that he wants to be trusted, he wants more from Fadel and he's willing to wait for him to be ready. He means it. And I know there's the component of this all starting for some car and Style now being aware of the reality of the situation but I think that's the point. That's the point of doing this specific scene with the absence of a backtrack until Style starts getting actually frisky. When Style is saying all of this and kissing Fadel's scar, we only listen to his words, their breathing, and their kisses. It's bare bones, but that's the point. To bare it all.
Did I read into that too much? Maybe! but idgaaaaffff. I'm eating this shit up and having fun dissecting things that maybe don't need dissecting. :P
I think it's obvious I'm more invested in FadelStyle than KantBison.... zorry! They put me-targeted drugs in FadelStyle. It's not my fault. 🧍

TAG Analysis - Ep I (first minute)
To preface, this analysis will be very, VERY long because I simply can’t help myself. It also may very well be in parts.
With the length of it, I’ll put a read more thing (or hope I have, I’ve never used the feature before) so it’s not a massive block of text for people to scroll past :)
For starters, the opening scene of the show is crafted so beautifully. Firstly, we the audience see the danger before we see who in danger. Even though this is such a simple, subtle thing, it’s so effective because this is the perfect way to define what the show is and what it’s about - daring rescues of those in situations which in our world would seem near impossible to aid, which just adds to the heroics of IR.
Furthermore, the way the characters are introduced is incredible. As with before, we hear the man’s voice before we see him - creating a similar effect as to previous. But he is presented in such a way that leads our eyes up his form and to his head because we know that he is the one making the SOS which makes the sudden interruption of the child so much better. It’s an “oh shit he’s not alone” type reaction, even though the child is very visible next to him. Also the way they are positioned in the balloon, how it’s at an angle, makes the father falling out seem almost inevitable. Plus, the idea to give them hats makes the scene even better because the act of them falling off and out of shot just adds to the tension.
As a quick little side piece, the use of music is fab. I would go more in-depth about the music if I could but I’m not very well music versed being an art kid; that and it’s been a few years since I last played clarinet so some things are a little vaguer now. To begin, the music in the first 20 seconds - it’s in a repeating pattern, three times up once down twice in a row. Then it goes to a lower register when the father begins to speak which not only allows us to hear him much clearer but also adds to the danger of the scene. Then after he climbs back in it begins to crescendo upwards before including a motif (that I’m pretty sure is used in other episodes) but sounds more heroic-y (I think it shifts to major key but I’m not sure).
The arrival of TB2 from the clouds is so well done, my god. Not only is how it appears so well handled, but the music that accompanies it too. Its presence in the scene is so well crafted. The balloon is to the side, still swaying out of control as to still elicit the danger, but the camera is zooming out. This makes the balloon seem smaller so that when TB2 appears it looks, frankly, fucking huge. What’s even better is that we hear then see it. We hear its engines so clearly that it cuts through the music. We can’t see it but we know where it will appear because the balloon is kept to one side of the screen. The music when it appears is also handled so well. Instead of the faster, scaling initial notes, they’re now much more drawn out. Yes these notes are still scaling upwards, but instead being fear-inducing it leans towards heroism especially with what I think is a gong 34/35 seconds into the ep which really just adds to the feel (it’s uplifting!!). And after, it goes into one of the main motifs played when on rescues. And then it changes AGAIN!!! Just as he grabs the child, it picks up - it gets faster. Nothing has happened but you know that something will. Also the wide shot at 48s initially doesn’t appear to furthering the story, but what it does do is further dramatise the danger. Simply “look, we’re 10,000 ft in the air. There is nothing around us.” You see this openness and you know that that man will fall and he does. And just before we get the drama… BAM intro sequence. It builds so much suspense because you know what’s happening, you know someone’s life is at stake but you have to wait through an incredible cool intro sequence to find out what happens.
Probably leave here for now, at least for an hour or so before I come back to it.

Ayo ayo ayooooo? 👀
With the post being “hey guys I'm going to leave my fawn response traumatized female character with you for a bit I sure hope when I get back she hasn't been girlbossified and otherwise mischaracterized to fulfill your own catharsis and ideas on how a victim should act and feel”
And ya tagged honamiiii? Ayooo? 👀
Can you please explain what you mean by that?
This is just me wanting you to talk about one of my favorite characters and how the fandom tend to mischaracterize her 🥹
Mhm I'm not a Honami expert! I've actually not read much about her past the main story, but the main story is what I was thinking about in that post.
One of Honami's major conflicts early on (main story and, if I remember correctly, her first focus?) is that her good-natured and kind-behaviour has resulted in her being bullied for, let's face it, petty and bullshit reasons. She's not the only Leo/need member to face that, because there's also Shiho who was in a virtually the same situation; but Honami's response to that bullying was different, and it's basically agreeing with her bullies and doing what they wanted of her ("pick a side", forming a more stable friend group, basically, changing her behaviour). She adjusted to the demands of people who put her through trauma in an attempt to please them and stop the bullying - that's fawning, a textbook definition of that. That's a trauma response.
And Honami is definitely more affected by it than a lot of people tend to remember. She's the only character outside of n25 who has expressed having suicidal ideation at some point. So it's not just her going along with bullying or conforming to the situation to be in a more comfortable position - her bullying was severe enough to cause her that level of trauma (in a combination with other factors like leo/need falling out), and her desperate attempt to appease other people was a trauma reaction.
If you actually listen into what she's saying, all of the above is very in plan view. She's very clearly hurting. She is people-pleasing, objectively speaking; just not in a way people accuse her of and not for the reason they think she does. She also has other signs of fawn trauma response; she has difficulty saying no to people, struggles with boundaries, and struggles to identify her own needs (later in the same chapter she mentions not even knowing what friendship feels like anymore, but I think Honami ignoring what she wants vs what other want of her is a kind of running theme in the main story anyhow).
As for mischaracterisation... I feel like the fandoms actually ignores Honami to the extend where it's hard to actually notice patterns. So the mischaracterisation is actually just not acknowledging her trauma and her response to it actually exists, and not engaging with that in a meaningful way. Every once in a while I see portrayals of Honami as much sterner or commanding than she canonically is, and I believe this is in a way due to her becoming a leader and the tropes that role usually involves mixing up with the fandom's generally poor understanding of her character. Honami's trauma response never went anywhere, she's just doing better now and growing into her role; this is not to say she's mentally weak or otherwise, because trauma responses are bullshit and maladaptive for everyone and aren't an indicative of your personality. I just think people don't quite get how Honami would behave in a crisis situation if one arose, which is often the premise of the fanworks. So they slap a generic "overprotective mom friend" reaction on her. So. *Shrug*
#jay rambles.txt#jay gets asks.txt#she's definitely been girlbossified too but that's just..... that's actually all pjsk girls#except MAYBE minori & kanade#but that's a separate topic#you can mostly infer my opinion on that from here
