Okay, last one for this round. I don't really have concrete ideas for this, I'd just really love to read about Yato getting a good thorough blowjob.
Noragami is the only anime I have listed that I haven't written a scenario for, yet.
And I'm making this as a female reader thing...
NSFW - No minors pls
Warnings: Smut/lime
Word Count: 1552
Yato had had a drink, which had worked its way into his system, making his face red. His eyes were fluttering shut as he sat at the kotatsu. The two of you were alone. No one else was seen or heard. And that was how you wanted it.
"Do you think I'm pretty, Yato?" You ask, your elbow rested on the table, chin on the palm of your hand. His weakness was your boobs. It didn't matter how big or small you were. They were always enough to catch his attention. You were leaning on the kotatsu in a way so that Yato couldn't help but notice them.
But alcohol had got to him, even if it was only one can. He tried not to stare at you, but you made it impossible for him to do so.
"Yeah, of course, I do," Yato replies quickly, his hand on another can, opening it so he could drink it as fast as he answered you.
You stop him, your hand reaching for the can, smiling as you bought the can up to your mouth and drinking some of its contents.
Everything you did, it was all intentionally to mess with him.
You drank slowly, letting some of it drip down from your mouth, eventually reaching down your neck and onto your chest.
"This isn't fair," Yato whines, tapping both his hands on the table.
"What isn't?" You ask, placing the can behind you.
It was later in the day. Yato was a little stressed from slaying phantoms and all the chaos of being a god. You wanted to help him relieve some of the pent up stress he had.
Yato doesn't answer and instead continues to tap his hands on the table. A few groans of annoyance leave Yato's mouth. It wasn't like Yato would ever fight you over a can. Well, sometimes he felt like he could. But he was far too stressed and exhausted to stand up and retrieve it from you.
You stood up and moved to sit beside Yato.
The closer you got to him, the redder his face got. He was staring at your chest. The alcohol the streamed down you left a glistening trail down your skin. His face heated up, and he turned his head away from you before he could do anything.
How you acted, the way you spoke, Yato had just realized that you were up to something.
"What're you planning to do, (Y/N)?" Yato asks.
Your eyes widen a little, surprised that he had caught on.
He turns to face you again, his eyes looking off to the side. It was like he didn't want you to catch him staring.
In the mornings, Yato would always take the opportunity to clutch at your breast, waking you up if you weren't awake. Not like it mattered to him if you were awake or not. But Yato had made it pretty clear that he didn't just love your body. He loved everything about you.
You inhaled sharply before pushing Yato down back onto the floor.
"Maybe I want to treat you. Is that so bad?" You reply, your hand resting on his chest.
"If this was all you wanted to do, you could've done it earlier," Yato teases, looking away from you again.
"Oh, shush," your hands tilted his face, so he was facing you. You planted a soft kiss on his lips before moving off of him, sitting between his legs.
Yato's blue steely eyes watched you closely as your hands pulled down on his tracksuit and boxers, exposing his erect dick to the cool air. A hiss escapes his mouth as the air got to him. He covers his eyes with an arm, his teeth biting down on his lower lip as he waited for you.
He was handsome like this, even when he let you do whatever to him. He always kind of liked when you were a little dominant or if you wanted to try something. That wasn't to say that he couldn't be that way because when he wanted you, he made sure you knew it.
A hand gripped at the base of his dick loosely, your tongue slowly licking from where your hand was to his head.
A slew of shaky breath left Yato's mouth. They weren't inaudible, but you could hear them. In the right mood, Yato would be just as vocal as you. But when he felt playful or mischievous, he would make sure that people knew that the two of you were up to something. Which you never really liked.
Quiet groans escape Yato's mouth as you continue to lick slowly, and he wanted to buck his hips so you would take him all in your mouth already. He was becoming impatient.
Yato was so cute when he was needy, but you had to be careful, or he would make sure to punish you if you pushed your luck. That was rarely ever happened. But when it did, you were left sore for a good few days.
Your tongue stopped what it was doing and went to play with his head, swirling it around while you gave him eye contact.
Yato lets out a groan and places a hand on your face, "please use your pretty little mouth already," his voice was low. Damn, it sent shivers down your spine.
You didn't listen to him. Your tongue still played with his head, occasionally licking up and down on him, letting a hand play with his tip.
His hand fell from your face. All the impatience he had inside him was enough for him to buck his hips up, letting you know what he wanted you to do.
Maybe you had played with him enough. Your mouth moved away from him. That steely look from before had still been watching you. This time he looked more dangerous. Those eyes of his were enough to make you stop whatever it was you were doing.
You slowly took his length in your mouth, with every inch you took, the more vocal Yato became. Still, he wasn't too loud, and you enjoyed the noises he made.
Now and again, his hips would try to snap up into you, but you would end up pushing him down. You were trying to help with his stress, and it didn't feel right having him thrust into your mouth like this.
You sped up, trying to give Yato more of what he wanted but not forgetting that this was something you wanted to do in the first place. Even if Yato wanted to try to take the lead, you quickly stopped him from doing it.
While you left one of your hands to push his hip down, your other travelled lower, stopping at his balls and playing with them while you continued to bob your head up and down on him.
All the noises were getting a little louder, but it wasn't enough to grab anyone else's attention. Every sound that escaped from Yato's mouth ran through you, making you more aroused the louder he got.
You move your mouth away from him, letting your tongue flick at the head of his dick and its slit.
His knuckles were clenched and pale, eyes dark and lidded. You were driving him insane.
Once again, you bob your head on him. This time, his head reached the start of your throat. Choking was the one thing you didn't like but pushed it to the back of your mind as your movements sped up, breathing through your nose.
All Yato could muster were shaky breaths and hisses. You were doing good. You would tell from the way he was eyeing you.
Your cheeks hollowed around him, teeth scratching ever so lightly on him. It made you feel a bit proud watching Yato fall apart so easily.
As you took him all in your mouth, your hands continued to play with his balls. You were happy that you were helping him in a way. He made you happy, and you just wanted him to feel the same way about you. You told each other 'I love you' nearly every day, and you were giving him that love.
"Don't stop," Yato groans, "I'm nearly there,"
And you could feel his body tensing as his climax built quickly. His hands clenched up even more, and his head fell back as the overwhelming feeling of his orgasm hit him.
You quickly move your mouth up to the tip of his leaking dick. A long hiss erupts from Yato as he releases his load inside your mouth.
The feeling of bliss shot through Yato as he recovered from your actions, his mind and vision going blank as he comes back to reality.
"Thank you, my gorgeous girl," he praises playfully, his voice still low, pulling his boxers and tracksuit bottoms back up.
You glare at him, surprised by his mood change.
"What?" He asks.
"I just didn't expect your mood to change so much," you reply.
"Hmm," he starts, sitting up to be beside you again, "you have calmed me down a lot," he nuzzles his nose into your neck.
"Are you still stressed?"
"Not anymore,"
But he still had alcohol in his system. God knows what he could end up doing.

Heh, it's been a good long while since I've been tagged for anything, so thanks @ashenlights for the tag!
Current ships: I don't really ship in the sense of wanting the characters to be together by the end of the show... sometimes what I even like in fiction is the slow burn of an unfulfilled attraction! But the pairings I'm always rooting for are Akane x Ginoza, Otae x Gorilla Kondo, Yato x Hiyori, Gambit x Rogue (which I discovered recently was a ship that actually sailed and I AM HERE FOR IT). Rather boring pairings, but there you go.
Currently reading: Noragami, and what a ride it is *_*
Currently watching: Not anything really - hard to watch TV when you have a really small kid dominating your TV-watching schedule. Started on season 3 of Aggretsuko, haven't found it super compelling. Binged Camp Cretaceous with the dino-mad little one and that was surprisingly good.
Currently consuming: Tea, lots of tea. And almond milk. But not together.
Currently craving: More drawing/writing time. PLEASE.
I'm not really currently close to any of my mutuals, but if you're reading this, know that I absolutely have an interest in getting to know you better and consider yourself tagged :)

Dino Watches Anime (Oct 26)
Recently Completed!
Tokyo Godfathers
Score: 10/10
There’s a reason why I gave this such a rare high rating. When I was watching it, I was internally like, “*excitement noises* I have not been this excited over an anime in such a long time, let alone for an anime movie. EVERYONE SHUT UP SO I CAN WATCH THIS EVEN IF I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY’RE SAYING.”
It’s not often that you come across really good movies, let alone masterpieces like this movie. The art is so good, the story made me feel like it was Christmas in October, and the characters really made me connect.
I know the subtitles used a whole lot of gay slurs and things like that, but Hana (the trans character in this tale) is treated well if we get past that huge hurdle. She truly owns up to herself. She doesn’t care what she’s called. She gets mad at people who misgender her. She gets mad if she’s forced to go to a men’s facility. She wants people to call her “an old hag” rather than “an old coot”. She just wants to be a mother even if she isn’t “biologically a woman” who can bear children. So when she comes across this kid, she thinks, “I will finally be a mother!” These are issues that real people face. These are issues that cisgendered people take for granted.
Madhouse really knocked it out of the park. Satoshi Kon is one of the biggest creators and directors in anime history. He’s known for horror and psychological works like Perfect Blue, Paprika, and Millennium Actress. I never expected him to be this good at making a movie that could move my soul like this. The characters were so far from perfect, yet I wanted the best for each of them. The way it handled everything was masterful. The dialogue worked so well and was witty, the voice actors (despite the main three not being in anything else for the most part) were so good at giving life to their characters, and the art blew me away in 2019 even though this was released in 2003. The only thing I didn’t quite like as much was the score during some parts of the movie, but it was subjectively good and just wasn’t to my taste (the Noragami soundtrack wasn’t a fav of mine either).
Just... watch the movie. If you can watch it around Christmas. It’s good for you.
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Score: 7.4/10
Yes, I binge-watched all 39 episodes in two days, what’s it to ya?! In reality, I just boosted the speed of the video.
Me throughout this show: Why do you all have triangle heads? What’s with that?
Okay, it’s the art style, and a lot of shoujo anime go with the concept that it looks good. Once you get over the art hurdle making me believe this was created in the early 2000s despite it being 3 years younger than Tokyo Godfathers, this turns out to be a really nice show. I just can’t believe they’re BOTH from Madhouse.
Remember Snow White with the Red Hair? Remember Akatsuki no Yona? If you liked those shows, you’re going to like this one... except it relies more on the political plot. It’s mostly about a woman wanting to pursue her dreams of being a politician in a male-dominated world. She’s entasked with helping this mess of a king to get his act together, and as much as I can try to prove that it’s surprisingly progressive (given the art and genre), I think that’d be spoiling it a little. The only character that actually bothered me was the prince who was voiced by Tomokazu Seki who honestly was a bit annoying and sounded so fake for me. However, this anime made me appreciate Hikaru Midorikawa’s voice as well as Houko Kuwashima who I’ve only heard voicing dead moms and only a few good characters here and there. Seriously, both of their voices are great. Toshiyuki Morikawa sounds good too, but we already knew that. I don’t like the OP or ED (or a whole lot of the music), but that’s the case for a lot of these 2005-era anime. Just like a lot of the anime on MAL, I do think this is an underrated show, but it does have its pitfalls if you’re just craving for a quick shoujo without any politics.
Full Metal Panic: Second Raid
Score: 7/10
I binge-watched this entire season while my parents were out for dinner and something else. It only took me a couple of hours because I boosted the speed.
I wanted to get a gif specifically from this season, so this one will have to do. So much wasted potential will this character (who’s one of two twins). I know they were trying to play the whole “twincest” thing, but I’m personally not a fan. They provided some cool fight scenes even at a certain cringe cost. The fact that Kyoto Animation animated this bumped the art from a 3 to an 8. It’s crazy how much the quality jumped after a new studio took over. Unfortunately, they didn’t take care of the next season. I know the main ship in the series is pretty clear, but this season made it closer to canon (too bad it took around 13 years to make the next season).
Kara no Kyoukai (movies: 5, 6, 7)
Score: Part Five: 7.5/10 Part Six: 5.8/10 Part Seven: 8.2/10
Not gonna lie, I watched the first four movies over a year ago and retained nothing. I had to read the Wikia to assist me and to begin with, I watched this to get into the “Type-Moon” universe (which consists of this and the Fate nonsense stuff), Yuki Kajiura’s score, and Maaya Sakamoto and Kenichi Suzumura voicing a couple. The score would probably change if I’d watched them regularly, but I digress because I watched movies 5-7 in one afternoon. Ufotable was pretty good at animating this and the voice acting worked really well. Yuki Kajiura’s music didn’t hit well at first when I was first watching the first few movies over a year ago because it wasn’t what I envisioned the score being, but once you get into the mood and mindset, it adds so much to the story. Although, I still really didn’t like part six. I thought it was a complete flop because I just want to get rid of anyone who believes i*cest is an okay thing. This isn’t Alabama. Go home. Not else to say here because this took so much commitment that I doubt anyone would watch it.
Paranoia Agent
Score: 8.6/10
With spoopy month coming to a close (already?!) I watched this anime earlier this month, but I forgot to write about it. That’s partly because there’s so much to unpack here. This was a thriller, psychological, horror anime by Satoshi Kon. That’s right, the first anime above was also done with him in the director’s seat. This anime was smart. There’s a reason why Robin Williams likes it! It was scary in the best of ways. It revealed a part of society that we see all the time but don’t talk about (especially in Japanese society where emotions are better kept concealed). Just the opening alone made me feel uneasy. The OP and ED were simplistic yet worked. I binge-watched the whole series because it was that gripping.
It was a little confusing at times, but that’s also because that’s just a common thing with horror anime. That suspense keeps us going. It keeps us on the edge of our seats. Who’s going to be the next victim of Shounen Bat? Episode 8 came out of nowhere for me, and I liked it. There were several scenes that sent shivers down my spine in the best way possible. It isn’t always “scary”, but it gives suspense.
Aoi Bungaku
This one is going to be reviewed a little differently. Since it has specific arcs, I’m going to review them as such!
Ningen Shikkaku: 8.2/10
We start off with a bang. Osamu Dazai was a man of suffering. This story really shows that. In this story, we see a man who’s desperate to know what makes him human. We see this through the eyes of a fictional character, but I personally view this as a semi-autobiography.
The art was chilling. The voice acting from Masato Sakai was surprisingly good. A lot of the time, voice acting from live-action actors just aren’t that great. Every time you think this character will get back on his feet, he falls deeper and deeper. It truly did make me wonder what made me human.
Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita: 3.9/10
That moment when the only thing that saves this arc is Nana Mizuki’s singing. Seriously, her jazz songs were awesome. Can’t say that about the rest. I mean, the art is good, but it’s Madhouse so most of their stuff is already good. The story wasn’t that original. Mind you, this was probably during a period where foreign influence was strong, and I haven’t read the original story, but... this is basically Salome (the opera) with some differences. Both have a crazy woman with a fixation over lifeless decapitated heads. Both have men that are captivated with her beauty so they give her what she wants because of that reason alone, they both murder religious people (monk/shrine maiden and a prophet), and both eventually realize that women can be crazy when they demand a lifeless head because you know, that’s just a red flag. Above all, it suffers from tonal shifts. You can’t have a woman turning moe then demand you bring her another head to play with. You can’t have Masato Sakai playing another main character that doesn’t fit him! Seriously, he doesn’t have the voice of a brute and just couldn’t do it. Overall, this arc was a mess, and I’m glad it was one of the shorter ones.
Kokoro: 7.6/10
This looked like a masterpiece compared to the last arc. I haven’t read Kokoro, but this made me go, “Huh, I don’t remember this happening.” That’s because they chose a certain part of the book (near the end apparently) and just went off that and created its own anime-original episode. Despite that, it was pretty good! There were some screaming discrepancies which did hurt its impression (because it made it feel out of place to the point where even I, as an uneducated anime viewer, could clearly see).
(I think this is from Kokoro but I might be wrong)
Hashire, Melos!: 8.9/10
Would you look at that? It’s the best arc of the series. Hashire, Melos was great. It had me going from beginning to end, and it’s the only arc that doesn’t have Masato Sakai playing the lead character. The art, the pacing, the storytelling, the story, the sound, the voice acting, and the art direction complemented each other so well. It made me far more interested in the original.
The Spider’s Thread: 6.6/10
If you look really close, you’ll notice that the creator of Bleach took over character design for this! It was okay. I found that it was a little cliche and lacklustre. Mamo is around so much that you probably have to do more than that to keep my attention, and this had the art going for it too. It just wasn’t that interesting. A heartless murderer is sent to hell after being executed. Moral of the story: Don’t be an asshole. Alright. Nice. I do understand that Ryuunosuke Akutagawa was one of the main establishers of the whole “Japanese Short Story” thing, but after seeing it so many times, I just didn’t get that same chill.
Hell Screen: 6.9/10
Another Akutagawa short story! This one had far more of an impact because this one hit closer to Akutagawa’s heart. Knowing the history of this piece of writing, you can see his desperation to stay relevant and true to his craft. It’s about a painter who wants to paint the town but finds out the city isn’t the bright light he sees in his mind. Everything goes ablaze. The art for this is stunning. I probably would’ve enjoyed this story more if it was placed in the middle of the series run rather than being the last story.

Africa no Salaryman
The animation for this is terrible. There is no way around it. However, at least it’s funny. Still, close to being on the chopping block. It has the papa lion who’s played by Akio Ohtsuka, the straight-man middle lizard played by Kenjirou Tsuda, and the scumbag toucan played by Hiro Shimono. Yes, they all play Hero Academia villains. The jokes are pretty good for me.

Given
Oh, would you look at that? It’s a music anime. *inhales* Music anime is a double-edged sword for me. I like having music interpreted and portrayed through one of my favourite mediums, but I don’t like them playing off music as some sort of easy gimmick and a joke. It’s like a shonen montage. “Let’s just have this guy train for two minutes and become a demigod”. But when you put an instrument into someone’s hand and demand the same, it sends me to another plane of angriness. So far, the romance is kind of cute... but Mafuyu kind of annoys me since his role in the BL dynamic is so clear just by his voice. Same with Uchida. You can only play so many thugs a season. Kyou? Good. Chika? Good. This guy? Good, but don’t do them all back-to-back! I don’t like the BL dynamic being so basic. However, my mind can be changed if done right.
Shinsekai Yori
Very interesting premise, their eyes are cute, and I’m a sucker for these so I’m gonna stick with it.

🎭 Could I get a match up for fruits basket and noragami? Im collaborative and a team player. I'm socially flexable and a good communicator. I love investigating and I'm rule oriented, if I agree. I'm creative and live theater and writing. I can interact with people I don’t know on a personal level and find common topics to discuss or talk about topics i haven’t thought about. I'm emotionally distant but in observant of others! I have chin length pink hair and hazel eyes. I'm also 4'10! Thanks!
☰ Matched with Ayame
You will catch his eye almost immediately and he won’t waste much time at all in approaching you, while your appearance is what initially draws him to you, he will quickly fall in love with your personality and who you are as a whole. He can be pretty forward, suggestive and flirty with you rather early on, but he doesn’t over do it and will tone it down if he notices you pulling away or feeling uncomfortable by him.
Though he is pretty direct he won’t ask you out right away because he will want to get to know you better and on a deeper level first, rather then just jumping into a relationship without really knowing each other. When he does ask you out it will seem really random and out of the blue, but he will actually put quite a it of thought into when and how he should ask you out.
But he also won’t make a big ordeal out of asking you out or at least not in a public way like drawing a crowd or anything, instead he will take you somewhere the two of you can be fairly alone or a place where people won’t really be watching or paying attention to the two of you. Something surprisingly simple for him like taking you to a rooftop, park, botanical garden or even the zoo or a play. This way the two of you can spend time together and he will ask you out plain and simple towards the end of the evening, expressing his feelings for you as well for you can truly understand how he feels for you.
Once the two of you begin dating, he is very affectionate, caring and attentive though he may not always seem like the best listener but when it comes to you, he pays close attention to the things you say. Because he is so attentive, he can be very good when it come to making plans for dates together or when it comes to getting you presents particularly for special occasions. Of course, because he does make and design clothes, he can often times design clothing for you whether for gifts or just randomly because he had an idea for you.
He can make a point to design things he knows you with like whether it’s making a replica of a dress or outfit from one of your favorite plays or movies or just listening to things you didn’t like about your clothes like maybe wishing for better pockets or wishing clothing fit your body or curves better.
He can be kind of childish at times and even seem pretty impulsive and impatient particularly when he’s bored, but he also has a very patient and understand side to him when it comes to you. Though he can often nudge you out of your comfort zone he is very reassuring and loving, he won’t force you to open up to him or do things you aren’t ready to. You can be emotionally distant but he won’t mind and will just see it more of a trust issue, like you are afraid to show a vulnerable side because you’ve been hurt in the past.
He will work to prove himself to you and show you how you can trust him and depend on him in any circumstances, he’ll wait for you to open up and let him in on your own without him having to push you. He adores how creative you are because this means you are both creative and love the arts, he will love hearing your opinion on arts in general and takes a keen interest in what you like to write and will really show a curiosity in reading things you have written if you will let him. He will focus many dates on more artistic and creative ideas, going to the theater, museums, gardens, historical sites, sightseeing or hands on dates like taking dance lessons, pottery, art, paint classes and more.
He does adore how much of a team player you are and how flexible you can be, he tends to see you as the more level headed and reasonable one. Which makes him really value your thoughts and point of view on different matters especially when it comes to important decisions or problems.
When it comes to a holiday like Valentine’s Day, he can go a little bit over board unless you insist, he doesn’t, but even then, you are still going to be showered quite a bit with gifts. However, his gifts aren’t just the typical chocolates and stuffed animals that most people like to do for Valentine’s Day, instead he will plan a special get away perhaps a trip somewhere special or just to relax for the weekend. Along with this will come the meaningful gifts, things he knows you like and collect maybe it’s jewelry, books, art supplies.
There will also be a romantic dinner either out at a nice restaurant or at home which ever he thinks you will enjoy more, this will likely be before the two of you leave for the trip or while the two of you are away on the trip particularly if you would rather go out, this way he can take you out to a new fancy restaurant and really spoil you. Because he will plan a trip like this it won’t simply be a one-day occasion to celebrate the holiday which he takes as a holiday to show you just how much he loves you it’ll be a 2 to 3-day affair.
Over all he is very caring, considerate and completely loyal to you and will constantly show you his love for you, he isn’t overly protective of you and doesn’t get jealous easily because he has complete trust you and the relationship the two of you have. He can be a bit insecure at times worrying that you deserve better or he’s not good enough which is why he can go out of his way often to shower you with love and attention.
However, he rarely openly talks about his own insecurities because he doesn’t like to feel like he’s bringing you down and likes for you and the atmosphere to be cheerful. He does stand up for you and will always have your back no matter the situation and he really encourages you to do whatever you want to do in life and he will be behind you and support you the whole way.
☰ Headcanons Between you two
■ Ayame is very affectionate and loving with you and tends to even be quite romantic particularly when it comes to special occasions or holidays. But he can even randomly surprise you with gifts, from flowers, jewelry, things you collect etc.
■ Hates seeing you unhappy and can go quite out of his way to cheer you up, even if it’s just by doing simple things like going for a walk, taking you out to eat, stargazing, or even just talking or telling you stories to try and make you laugh.
■ He is affectionate and not afraid to be the dominant one and smother you with attention and affection, in fact, he can even be very smothering at times because he does genuinely adore your attention and being near you but none the less, he can come across as clingy.
■ Tends to go out of his way to try and impress you or when you over even after the two of you begin dating, he will like surprising you and seeing your eyes light up when he gets you something special or plans something special for the two of you.
☰ Other Possible Matches
● Yato
Yato absolutely adores you and makes it pretty obvious from the first time he meets you, he’s not afraid to point out how cute you are. He finds your appearance adorable because of your short stature and pink hair and will even flat out compliment your appearance, telling you how cute you are nearly every time he sees you. Though his attitude towards you may not initially seem like he’s interested in you romantically and chances are he probably won’t have romantic feelings for you right from the start and instead treats you as a good friend. Though he can be rather intrusive and clingy when it comes to getting to know you and even more so once he does begin developing feelings for you. He can be affectionate with you but can also be kind of awkward and shy at other times, but he really cares deeply for you once he does develop feelings for you which makes him very understanding and attentive with you.
● Momiji
Is very caring, friendly and attentive with you right from the start, though he does not show an immediate interest in you romantically. He just wants to get to know you and be friends with you at first, but it really doesn’t take very long for him to develop feelings for you. But at the same time he does not rush to turn things into a romantic relationship and instead will build a strong friendship with you first and kind of ask questions to see if you may be interested in him, but will not flat out ask you out or ask you directly if you like him in a romantic way. He will be very loving, encouraging and reassuring with you when the two of you are dating, he wants to bring out the best in you and help you with any and all problems and above all else cheer you up when you are down and constantly show you how much he loves you.

What other minor and/or major fandoms are you in? (Or what other shows/series do you keep track of?)
This might be boring to read because there are people who are up to date with manga/anime/tv shows/movies while I’m the opposite xD I’m the type of person who sticks with something they love to the point of obsession for a very long time.
Other than the Naruto one, the last fandom I joined was the MetaMoro fandom (italian singers and beautiful couple), last year. I never shipped real people in my whole life cause I don’t care about real people enough, and cause found it kinda creepy (btw I bet tumblr police has something to say about this as well) but things happen and you can’t control what you like (hi again tumblr morality police), besides, there is no fanservice in Italy for this kind of things, it’s not like idols or kpop bands or US celebrities, so..I didn’t even want to be active in the fandom tbh, but I just happened to write some comments in my tags and then I received asks and suddenly people were interested in my opinion, then in my ideas so they suggested prompts and before I knew it I was posting angsty darkfics lol ( so this is the fandom that steals my time from naruto fic writing)
I’m not in other fandoms, these 2 take too much time already, and most of the anime/shows I like are either quite old or over since a while. I don’t know most of the shows people talk about, and when I stumble on their gifs/images I just don’t feel interested.
I am a Game of Thrones fan, I sometimes wrote a few comments on episodes and with my personal blog I follow GoT blogs with gifs and edits, but I don’t read fics and I never read fan theories though.
Before Naruto my favourite manga/anime were Gensoumaden Saiyuki (I wasn’t into it anymore but they published the Gaiden prequel volumes in my country and I almost cried reading the end for how beautiful and sad it was) and most of it all Bleach…I loved it so much, I read fics, searched for doujinshi and fanarts, saved screenshots. It was in my heart for years, and it still is even though I didn’t follow it that much, so when it ended I wasn’t as angry as for Naruto, for example. But I periodically think (more like obsess) about it again, when I stumble on stuff online. And I do periodically think, more like, replay, the scenarios I would think about, my ‘bedtime stories’ lol, as back then I didn’t even consider writing a fic.
I recently read the Psycho Pass manga for the first time, as I had watched the anime already. Then I rewatched the anime and I liked it even more than the first time, so much that I obsessively sought fanarts and fics, too bad that my fave ship is popular only in the reverse top/bottom dynamic compared to the one I like
I’m deeply into Noragami which is the latest manga I’ve been reading, I want to watch the anime but I haven’t yet. Also I haven’t looked for fanarts/fics, even though I really love Yato, and I am very intrigued by the angsty parts like when he cried getting to know his shinki’s past, or when he’s stung and blighted when his shinki has bad thoughts &co. Or the way his father manipulated him, or when he was bitten by Hiyori gone ayakashi…This kind of things is my kind of things, so I’m all in for the dark side of it, but I’m afraid I’m a minority so I don’t even bother looking for stuff. (maybe this was better in the other ask about crack ships lol)
Also because I often drop shows/anime when I disagree with the plot, and especially with tv series this happens a lot cause they keep them going on and on season after season and annoying shit happens, like, I was a fan of The 100 (and I shipped Claire/Lexa and Lincoln/Octavia) but after Lexa died and there was the season finale/cliffhanger for the next one I stopped watching cause I disliked it. Or Vikings but same, I didn’t like it anymore after the first series, it’s like certain stories go out of hand and become ‘too big’ and I can’t put up with that kind of absurdity. And I have an open mind, my favourite stories are those that question reality, so my concept of absurdity is related to unbelievable because it’s badly written imo. Same for Mr Robot, I watched it all but I didn’t like certain things and I’m afraid I’m gonna hate the next season. Or Sense 8, but that was canceled and I even managed to quit it before the forced ending lol. I’m a huge fan of Star Trek The Next Generation and BattleStar Galactica, I bingewatched the latter on a summer, like when I bingewatched LOST with my ex, who was addicted on series more than I. He was an ass*ole but he made me watch good stuff lol. Like cute Pushing Daisies. Older series are more interesting imo. It’s like the popular ones are like videogames, each season with a bigger ‘aim’, while others are canceled without even trying to continue and see if people get to like them. Some stories grow on people more slowly, but they don’t get it. The latest show I tried to watch was American Gods, its concept seemed interesting and I like the many different cultures and mythologies it refers to, but I found certain things disturbing/triggering so I stopped.
I also liked Death Note but for the story more than the characters. I was reading Tomodachi Game cause it’s quite similar for certain things but I have to catch up. Oh and I never finished Nabari No Ou, even though I liked it. Why didn’t I finish? I forgot. Same for Gintama. Like pretty much anyone else I read manga with an app and I watch anime/shows on my laptop and I decided to read more paper books instead, and use devices less, so I follow my favourite musicians/bands, and ofc my 2 fandoms and mostly I write my fics. Or, well, I try to.

Top Five Yuki Kaji Roles
Just starting this, I know I’m going to be leaving out a bunch. To be fair, he has too many (good) roles. Sometimes he doesn’t fit the role (which is the fault of the casting director), but I think he does a good job with whatever he plays.
Not going to lie, this list is influenced by: - How much I liked the series as a whole - Casting decisions - Character development (how much I liked the character) - Other things that have to do with my personal opinion
In this list, I will also not be including any series that I haven’t watched. An exception in this list is Attack on Titan because I have watched a lot of Eren’s pivotal scenes, and I feel like (even though I avoid the horror genre), he still deserves a spot here.
Due to me not watching all the anime he’s in, I will just list the shows that won’t be included on this list because of this reason alone: Haikyuu (Kenma), Guilty Crown (Shuu), High School DxD (Issei), Donten ni Warau (Soramaru), Servamp (Kuro), Black Butler (Finnian), Black Bullet (Rentarou) Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Kouichi).
I also won’t even be mentioning Ao Haru Ride. I don’t like Kou. Voice didn’t match, anime wasn’t my thing, etc. I cringed too much watching that anime. That is all.
Honourable Mentions:
Walker Yumasaki (Durarara!!)
Ironically, this character is an otaku. He’s so goofy, and I remember hearing his voice and going, “I recognize him.” And considering the fact that I watched Durarara before I really got into voice actors, that’s quite something. He makes a lot of pop culture and anime references, and I can respect that. Walker and his partner in crime Erika are a very iconic duo.
Ayato Kirishima (Tokyo Ghoul)
We just went from a one to a ten, didn’t we? Well, that’s voice actor range. I hated this casting decision at first. I thought that it was bad and wanted nothing to do with that. I eventually did change my mind. Could they have done better? Yeah, but I eventually grew to like it (love is too strong a word).
Naoya Nifuji (Wotakoi)
Back to the pure, are we? Ironically, Kento Itou (who plays Hirotaka) is born in 1988 (according to the Idolmaster Wikia while Yuki Kaji is born in 1985. Anyway, Naoya (sometimes called “Nao-chan” is honestly such a pure kid. He’s kind of bad at video games, but he gives it his all for the sake of others. Watching him just makes you want to give him a pat on the head. His innocence and purity are definitely exemplified by Yuki Kaji who nailed this role despite being a supporting character this time.
Sonic (One Punch Man)
RIP Sonic’s ballsack. Okay, but seriously, that scene was painfully hilarious with emphasis on the pain. He did a good job portraying it (along with Madhouse’s animation which just added the absolute torture on his face along with the jiggle). I thought this didn’t standout voice-wise at first, but I rewatched the scene a few times and have had the whole thing grow on me... as horrid as it was. Here’s the scene.
Meliodas (Seven Deadly Sins)
Okay, this is partially because I didn’t like the Seven Deadly Sins. Ban is a much better character than Meliodas. I didn’t like Meliodas as a character, but it was no denying that he had a good voice actor backing him. Meliodas English counterpart was none other than Bryce Papenbrook (who I don’t like). Go figure, I think he portrays the perverted hero quite well even if I don’t like him.
TOP FIVE
5. Shion (No. 6)
I have so many thoughts on this anime that need to be saved for another time. Shion is one half of the dystopian duo (*cough* SHIP SHIP SHIP *cough*). He’s an intelligent sheltered kid at first, but then he gets wrapped into stuff that’s way bigger than him. Shion has a painful “Eren-like” transformation scene. Every protagonist has to experience pain on a large not-human scale, right?
4. Shouto Todoroki (Boku no Hero Academia)
Who can forget that Shouto vs Deku fight? That was full of epicness. I was almost jumping in my seat when I watched it. The “Handcrusher” isn’t always the most perceptive socially (same), but he has so much power... as long as he gets his sleep. He might not have the most emotional range, but he does have a lot of good moments. It weirdly took a while for this role to set into place for me, but now he’s one of my favourite characters.
3. Eren Jaeger (Attack on Titan)
*intense screaming* Yeah, that’s kind of this role in a nutshell. “I will kill all the Titans even though I am one!” It’s not every day where you see a bunch of giant nudists eating smaller clothed what people. There are too many scenes that Yuki Kaji has crushed in this series, and this is probably his most iconic role. He does a lot of stuff to support the show too which I respect. Get ready for season three people!
Bonus:
2. Yukine (Noragami)
Okay, Yukine is already dead, but you can tell that the little dude has been through a lot. Give him a break. He’s kind of witty and childish at times, but a lot of people don’t seem to like this character. This is partially because of how he was introduced to the series. He was bratty at first, but guys, look at his circumstances and where he’s coming from. He lives with a guy who doesn’t pay him. The guy he works for can do whatever he wants and experience little pain whereas he thinks one dirty thought and everyone goes wild at him. Yuki Kaji portrays the emotional pain of this character so well. That’s partially what I missed in the dub. He weirdly has a lot of youth in his voice despite being so old (I think anything over 30 is old). He really put his all into this role, and I really like Yukine and what Yuki Kaji did with this character, and I can’t stress that enough.
Here are some seiyuu event clips. The slipper incident is infamous. Miyuki Sawashiro is a legend for starting that. The cleansing scene was epic and a pivotal moment for Yukine’s character. The last one is a live voice acting session of that scene (Slippers Incident) (Cleansing Scene - Cast Comments) (screaming in real life)
1. Alibaba Saluja (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic)
It’s kind of hard to find people who have: 1. Watched this show 2. Watched it subbed But if you have, I commend you. I have watched both seasons and reads a couple arcs of the manga (I’m still about a hundred chapters from finishing the whole series). I’m really bad at explaining how much I love this character/role and why, but I’m going to try. If you don’t get it (or even if you do), go watch the show. It’s one of my favourites to this day. Alibaba is one of my favourite shounen protagonists. He’s goofy, makes honest mistakes, and tries his best. He’s similar to Naruto in ways, but I prefer Alibaba because he’s so much more relatable, and he has logic. According to his weaknesses, he gets fat easily. But anyways, this character has been through a lot. He has lost so many people along the way, and his life is a rollercoaster with him just grabbing on and hoping for the best. Yuki Kaji makes me laugh when the story’s funny and moves me when the story’s emotional. He makes the character who he is, and when I read the manga, I still read it in his voice. I can’t see it any other way. I love this character a lot, and I wouldn’t have anyone else voice him. As much as the dub is good, I refuse to watch it dubbed because I have so much attachment to the Japanese voice cast. This was the first non-Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh anime I watched. I have a massive soft spot for it. Can I just add how it also does a great job with its female characters? Morgiana is one of my favourite anime characters of all time. Here are some funny moments (part 1) (part 2) Here’s the seiyuu event subbed (part 1) (part 2)

loud and clear;
jung hoseok | haven’t you ever been curious about the god you pray to? noragami!au. | 2k words. | humor, fluff, angst.
a/n: pretty spoiler free so if you haven’t seen the show/read the manga and want to, don’t worry! I’ve had the idea for a noragami style au for hoseok for like,,, a year. here. take it
Names mean something.
Whether a name is good or a name is bad, it means something. Sometimes, a name can mean happiness or despair. A name can mean love or hate. A name can be hope, or utter destruction. Sometimes our names define us, and sometimes we define our names. Is it crime to run from a name that never fit you in the first place?
He was called the god of calamity because that’s what he was good at, it was all he’d known for the hundreds of years he’d been alive on this unforgiving earth. His birth was from the ashes of war and greed, and that’s presumably where he would die one day if the time came. It was never his desire to be what people hated yet needed, never his desire to feel so used after his sword would tear open flesh and sever life at his own will.
Heh, he laughs to himself, I have no will.
Whoever commanded him was the one whose will Hoseok met. From the beginning of life, his very job was etched into the stars in blood: he would fulfill anyone’s wish to kill, destroy, and ruin. If only it meant he was believed in for one more day.
The life of gods weren’t easy, and the life of a minor god who’d abandoned his original craft was even less so, but he guessed life could have been worse.
Hanging upside down from a tree by only his legs, Hoseok’s eyes flit around the nearly empty graveyard, searching everywhere for anything to keep his interest but finding that only you could, and currently you were occupied with another matter altogether, “Must we do this every weekend?”
You stare at the gravestone aimlessly, feelings of upset swimming in your stomach as the hours stretch on, “Yes. I can’t miss them.”
Hoseok blinks at the back of your head, sighing when you don’t make any attempt to look at him or show that you even acknowledge his presence in the first place. He lets himself fall and twist mid-air, landing on his toes and letting his heels fall to the dirt softly. There’s only so much time he can waste here waiting for people who he knew wouldn’t come before he has to be back out there, making sure he’s not forgotten. You seem to care none about being the regalia to a dying god.
“Do you know how many phantoms we could have slayed in the time we’ve spent here today alone? I bet you’ll feel much better ripping open a phantom’s guts right now!” Hoseok makes his tone light and tries to move in front of your line of vision, bright smile momentarily distracting you from the situation at hand, but you quickly shove his head out of the way as if he wasn’t your master and a god. In your eyes, he was just another nuisance who had decided to give your untainted soul a chance before it could be turned into the very things you both sought to kill. The colorful, slimy phantoms that lurked around the city whispering evil things in the ears of unsuspecting humans had all started out as unguided spirits of the dead at one point or another.
It could have become you too, but Hoseok had saved you. Yet, how good was it being “alive” again if you had no recollection of your past before you died and no idea of your future?
“I’d feel much better if I could stuff your head in a toilet...” You murmur quietly, watching Hoseok scowl and plop down next to the gravestone, leaning his head on it like a pillow. His copper red hair shines in the sunset light and catches your eyes long enough to glance over, and then you quickly turn away again much to his displeasure.
“You know, other regalia treat their gods with the utmost respect! Don’t you know the god of education has hundreds of regalia waiting on him hands and feet?” “Namjoon is eons more likable so I’m not surprised his regalia care to do that.” You snap back, watching the god’s scowl deepen.
You two had a strange relationship from the moment he’d captured your wandering soul and bound it to him. He had pronounced you his regalia, his weapon (literally) in the face of danger that this world held. You retained your human form from when you were once alive, but at his hand, you became something more.
A shinki, he called it. A tool for a god to use however they pleased, and you were a sword of mass destruction. At first try, you had been a bit chipped and dull as it had been only moments since you’d been saved by Hoseok that he needed you to fight off a gaggle of phantoms. However, after quite a while of training, you had become shiny and brand new. You were quite a beauty in either form, if Hoseok did say so himself. Yet, no matter how much he tried to get along with you, you couldn’t help wanting to counteract each attempt.
It wasn’t that you hated him, because seriously, you didn’t (and no, you couldn’t really prove it right now but...!). Deep down, you were very grateful he’d taken you as his regalia even if it wasn’t like he didn’t benefit from it himself, his previous regalia having run off to serve Namjoon the minute he let her because apparently Hoseok was “a train wreck waiting to happen... again”. Truthfully, had you been able to choose your own god to serve, Hoseok would have been your very last choice. But he wasn’t terrible, just carried more baggage than your wandering soul was prepared to take on.
While he tried to cover up the pain of his past with a smile and sometimes really terrible jokes, at some point, you’d grown uncomfortable with the god’s insistence that he was okay, that he was just tired when his shiny eyes would dull along with the activities of the day. A god of calamity is what they called him, warning you to break away before you ended up being hurt by that calamity he constantly carried with him. No matter what he tried to do to fix the past, whether it was spray-painting his number across the city so he could do odd jobs for lazy humans or slaying the phantoms that caused depression and wrath, to everyone else he would always be the god of calamity. A god of misfortune. A god of disaster.
Though, sometimes, you wondered how someone so full of selflessness could ever truly be a god of calamity.
Hoseok procured an orange from seemingly nowhere, carefully peeling away the skin and halving it before giving you one, “Hungry? We have quite the night ahead of us.”
You look up from your gravestone in confusion, taking the half into your hand and looking it over. It didn’t seem rotten or dried out in the slightest, “Where’d you get this?” “Swiped it off an old lady a few hours ago. You didn’t see?”
Your eyes narrow as you think about possibly squeezing the orange in his eyes and watching him wriggle in agony, but decide you won’t be as mean as usual... this time. Instead, you peel off a piece and put into your mouth, “We’re stealing from old ladies now? You don’t do much good for your reputation.”
“Well, I have to feed my regalia somehow! Nobody’s gonna do it for me,” He nudges you with his elbow and grins when you cast him a glance, “I don’t care what they say.”
You should, you think quietly to yourself. What kind of god didn’t care about what people thought? Gods were supposed to serve the people. They were supposed to uphold comforting presences and honesty and whatever else the humans were so obsessed with worshiping, they weren’t supposed to meander around the city at all hours of the night in cheap tracksuits and spend whatever money they had on tacky souvenirs because they looked “cool” and “shiny”. Hoseok applied to all of that and then some.
“You forget we share a mind and body,” Hoseok hums, startling you from your reverie, “...I’m not... it’s not lost on me how you feel when other gods see me, or when other shinki question you about the god you serve.” Surprisingly, his voice takes a more ashamed tone. He quietly eats with his legs crossed under him beside you, the setting sun behind you making his copper hair stand out all the more. Wind blows through his hair and covers the expanse of his forehead but he doesn’t move to fix it like he usually does.
Swallowing, you take a piece of orange and play with it, “So why don’t you do something about it?”
Hoseok shrugs, “I don’t want to be a god of calamity, even if I can never change it. I don’t want my name to carry the weight of all the harm I’ve caused because of it.”
You stare at the grass that had started to die in the middle of autumn, blades of green barely tall enough to cover the bottoms of your shoes. It would be getting colder soon, and Hoseok still didn’t have a shrine, so most likely you both would either be crashing at Namjoon’s shrine (if he didn’t kick you both out again) or finding some small, dark corner to curl up into to keep warm. You both were immortal, but it didn’t make being cold any less torturous.
In the middle of your thoughts, worrying over how the both of you would manage to stay warm tonight, you feel something drape over your shoulders. Blinking, Hoseok’s scent fills your senses and you look back over at the god. He’s now in just a thin white tee shirt tucked into the band of his sweatpants, but he looks pretty fine to you. He doesn’t even shiver when a particularly cool breeze swipes past you both and reminds you that the sun is all but set now.
Instead of saying “thank you” or even a more characteristic “this thing reeks of alcohol, take it back”, you just push your arms through the sleeves and marvel at the fact that your hands don’t fully pass the hems, “You’ve always been a god of calamity though, even cleaning people’s bathrooms and finding lost cats like you do now,” you say softly, feeling the link between the two of you grow strained a bit. He’s nervous for what you’ll say when he’s already baring his hear to you in the most Hoseok way you know, “but you don’t win wars with your calamity. You... wreak havoc on the phantoms that plague humans. You didn’t stop being the god of calamity, you just turned it into something good.”
Hoseok says nothing for a while after that, and neither do you, letting the last few moments of the twilight welcome your incoming night. As the wind picks up, Hoseok suddenly reaches over and zips up his jacket on you until it reaches your neck, briefly locking eyes with you when you turn to look at him incredulously. He has finished off his orange and you find that you have too, in the midst of your thinking. He stands up and holds out a hand, smiling at you with the last rays of baby blue sky highlighting it. Carefully, you place your hand in his and he yanks you up and into his side, shocking you into a small sputtering fit.
He takes a deep breath and scans the city from the graveyard’s hilltop, eyes falling on a swarm of phantoms a few miles away that were particularly interested in a university nearby. “Well, looks like we have a bit of work to do, don’t you think?” Hoseok grins and looks down in your direction, where you meet his gaze halfway.
Somewhere in the sparkle of his usually sad eyes is a hope; you can feel something between your bond, unsure if he was willingly projecting it to you or not. What you had said had comforted him, had elated him in fact, and despite your inner qualms about entertaining the goofy god with friendship... you couldn’t resist giving him a small smile in return.
Names mean something, but it’s up to you to figure out what that something is.

End of the year 2.5D Butai/Musical Asks!
I'm doing a parenthesis in this hell of a week to do this. And it was actually fun to do! I remembered a lot of things while doing it. It took me a while tho xD
I was tagged by @uchidaikidesu. Thank you very much ^^
Questions and answers under the cut.
1. Firstly, how did you manage to find out about 2.5D butai/musical? Which butai/musical was your first and your impression of it?
This was around 2006, I believe. By the way, at that time almost everyone in the fandom used mostly Livejournal to interact, Tumblr didn't even exist lol, and the concept of "2.5D" wasn't known. I remember a girl who subtitled short clips and songs of Tenimyu on Livejournal, showed me a short video of Dream Live 3rd. Since I was so into the Tenipuri fandom, watching the musicals with real actors was kind of weird. I mean, they looked so funny with those wigs lol, but then I got used to them. So yeah, the first musical I watched was Dream Live 3rd. I also remember asking the girl if watching that was going to spoil the plot, but then I was told what was a Dream Live and the regular musicals featuring a different team and their respective plot.
2. Who was your first favourite 2.5D actor/actress? Why?
It was a little hard to remember this, but I think it was Aiba Hiroki. It is fun because I started to watch Tenipuri thanks to Kaida Yuki (Fuji Shuusuke's seiyuu) and when I first started to watch the musicals, the second gen of Seigaku was in all their glory. Because my favorite character at that time was Fuji, I liked Aibacchi first.
3. Top 3 (or more) favourite butai of the year?
I don't think I have watched so many butai/musicals this year because I've been so busy, but let's give a try :D
1-. Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau I don't know why I liked this butai the first time I watched it, but I guess the plot wasn't something I have watched before and it was great. I even follow the anime so far lol. I think I have reblogged some GIFs as well xD
2-. Touken Ranbu Moeyuru Honnouji (Saien) Honestly, I'm not so into Tousute, but I watched this whole musical and I liked it. Ok, when I saw the name of Seto Yuusuke (I love Teruma, but Seto is an actor I like from long ago) in the cast, I couldn't resist. Of course, I had already watched the first butai. I still haven't watched the last one, so I can't put it in this ranking.
3-. Dansui! Maybe I liked more for the actors than for the plot xD Still, it is always fun to watch it.
4. Top 3 (or more) least favourite butai of the year?
I don't really want to think about something I haven't liked this year. I think everything I have watched has been good.
5. Top 3 (or more) favourite musical of the year?
1-. Touken Ranbu ~Mihotose no Komoriuta~ I actually cried with this xD And since I knew almost all actors and a little about the Tokugawa History, I felt familiar with it really quick. Very touching scenes. And as if falling more for Tsubasa wasn't enough xD
2-. Rock Musical Bleach 2016 I think I watched it this year. I've always have liked Bleach and since I have watched all Bleach musicals, I just couldn't not watch this.
3-.Hakuoki - Harada Sanosuke Hen I actually love all about Hakuouki lol, but I was very curious about this musical and I liked it. Isobe Karin was super cute and her singing voice did suprise me. Higashi Keisuke was great as usual. The heigh difference tho xD
6. Top 3 (or more) least favourite musical of the year?
Go to question 4 :D
7. Top 3 (or more) favourite actors/actress of the year?
You already know my actual biases xD
1-. Kuroba Mario/Sakiyama Tsubasa Surprised? I don't think so xD I think I don't have much to add why I liked them? lol
3-. Anzai Shintaro Yeah, I love his bitchy characters like Reo (Dansui!) and Fushimi. I also enjoy to see him in every making of he is in. I always laugh at his humor lol.
8. Top 3 (or more) rookie actors/rising actors whom you’ve high hopes for in the future?
1-. Miura Hiroki I always have a thing for every actor who have played Atobe xD He is so young, so I think he still has a lot to show~
2-. Sana Hiroki He already have played amazing roles so far and I think he has a great future ahead.
3-. Maeshima Ami I first know her in Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau and I really like her acting. When I saw her again in Rengoku ni Warau was simply splendid. She is still young as well, so I hope to see her in more roles.
9. Top 3 (or more) favourite butai/musical related drama/movie of the year?
Option 1: The drama/movie is similar and have the same/different actors from the stage adaptation. (Example: Yowamushi Pedal)
Option 2: The drama/movie currently does not have a stage adaptation for the time being but has at least one 2.5D actor/actress in it. If you chose this option, please state the name of the actor that made you watch the drama/movie (Example: Five, Sato Ryuji)
For option 1 - Dansui! Stage and Drama. For option 2 - Ayame-kun no Nonbiri Nikushoku Nisshi (Kuroba Mario, Saeki Daichi) - FIVE (Kuroba Mario, Sato Ryuji)
10. Top 3 (or more) actors/actress that you think have the best singing voice?
1-. Kuroba Mario Yeah, I'm biased but he really has improved his singing voice a lot. When I first heard him as Kikumaru singing Hitori de Doubles was totally different. Well, Kikumaru is a character that moves a lot, but still, he has been doing a great job with his voice.
2-. Furukawa Yuuta Well, I have liked his voice since he was Fuji and since he released his first single, so it is not a surprise.
3-. Sato Ryuji/Spi
A tie xD Ryuji singing voice is something you don't really find everywhere. And I really loved Spi voice in Mihotose.
11. A (or more) butai/musical that you didn’t initially love, but has/have grown on you?
Noragami. Mostly because I didn't know a thing about anything xD
12. Top 3 (or more) anime/manga/game that you would love to see being adapted into a butai/musical in the future?
Honestly I don't really remember right now. But normally I started to watch an anime or read a manga if I don't know much about a musical/butai.
13. Top 3 (or more) favourite fandom on the year?
Mostly Touken Ranbu. Toumyu and Tousute. I never forget about Tenimyu though.
14. How long have you been in the 2.5D fandom?
That is... 11 years *feels old*
15. Lastly, what is your overall opinion of the 2.5D fandom so far?
In general and after all these years, I think it is really nice. Nodaways it is easier to purchase a DVD and share it with everybody. I remember when the fandom was still in Livejournal, the people who shared their copies were always the same and fans (in my case at least) depended on them lol. Overall, I think this fandom has been steady. I personally have known very nice people, so I hope to continue being here as long as I can ^^

What are some good manga that you recommend
Hello Anon!
You didn’t really specify a genre so I’m going to just throw a couple out there for various genres, hope that’s ok lol
I originally put this under a read more line but it wasn’t working! Trying to figure it out but until then sorry for the long post!
Action/Adventure
Boku no Hero Academia / My Hero Academy
this series has gotten very popular recently, and has an anime!
ongoing (as of July 2017)
recommended if you like heroes, school-setting (at times), character development! - adolescent characters with a lot of growing to do in many ways, friendship building and bonding, badass mentors/teachers
not recommended if you don’t prefer adolescents in an action setting, semi-slow progress (some people may think the series is slow-paced in terms of story progression), there’s going to be a character you’re almost guaranteed to hate/dislike…
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu / Assassination Classroom
completed! 180 chapters
an anime
recommended if you like action in a school-setting, lots of comedic scenes, unique antagonist, heartfelt touching moments that you wouldn’t really expect from this story
not recommended if you don’t prefer an immature and childish tone/feel of story, not too action-heavy, a lot of characters, the art style is different so watch out for that
Bonus (cause I’m shamelessly pushing my preferences onto other people):
666 Satan / O-parts Hunter
completed! (2007), under 80 chapters
pretty old
fun fact: the mangaka is the brother of Masashi Kishimoto, the author of Naruto, so the art will be very similar. While there are other similar elements, the story is very different and has a more fantastical theme
recommended if you like adventure, unique weapons/powers, unconventional plot and theme
not recommended if you don’t prefer older manga, sensitive to blood/gore (though not as extreme as Attack on Titan/SNK), slight dip into tragedy genre towards the end, if you’re deeply religious? I guess??
Adventure-Romance
Hanatsuki Hime
completed! under 10 chapters
a bit older manga
recommended if you like simple plots, fantasy/supernatural world, supernatural elements in your romance stories, characters with strong qualities, pretty artwork
not recommended if you don’t like heavy romance in your adventure stories, slightly slow pacing, shoujo eyes, (kinda a spoiler but) a as-close-as-family bond turning into a lovers relationship
Kanata Kara / From Far Away
completed! under 60 chapters
older manga
recommended if you like a hardworking but sensitive heroine, girl mysteriously entering a different (magical) world, amazing female characters of different ages and body sizes that are almost never sexualized, dynamic and complex characters, realistic elements e.g. you actually see the girl’s hair grow longer as time passes!! like where else has this happened?!? this was literally mind-blowing to me, also new world means new language - this manga actually took that into consideration
not recommended if you don’t like the “power of love” trope, big shoujo eyes lol, not action heavy, fantasy/supernatural genre, semi-slow pace to adapt to new world, bit of a rushed ending
…
side note: if you prefer more action than romance, most shounen manga do have romance, but I’d personally recommend Noragami or (among the top shounen series) Fairy Tail. (and O-parts Hunter! *winkwink*)
…
Shoujo-Romance
Wish
completed! 23 chapters
older manga again
recommended if you like supernatural elements of religious origin, angels, demons, cute characters that are signature CLAMP characters lol, unconventional love story, ANDROGYNOUS characters
not recommended if you don’t like androgynous characters, big shoujo eyes, slow-pacing in some parts, bittersweet endings, if you’re deeply religious?
Ao Haru Ride / Blue Spring Ride
completed! 50 chapters
has a Japanese drama adaption
recommended if you like a classic shoujo school setting, not so classic shoujo heroine, characters changing and trying to change, some realistic introspection of school life and relationships, friendships valued just as much as love relationships!, lovely art
not recommended if you don’t like those classic shoujo lack of communication problems, a male protagonist that is a jerk sometimes (and can’t suck up his problems), love triangles (so many)
I’d also recommend Sakisaka Io’s other works: Strobe Edge and Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare
both are in high school settings
places value and importance on friendships!! especially Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare
both have typical shoujo tropes (misunderstandings, love triangles, etc.)
Bonus (on the off chance you haven’t read or watched it yet):
Fruits Basket
completed! under 140 chapters
an anime
older manga again (it’s a classic, what can I say?)
recommended if you like a bit of supernatural mixed in with your romance, a whole family that act like protective older siblings to the female protagonist, unique story lines for almost every character, unique characters/personalities, heart-wrenching/tragic backstories, strong friendships!!!, mostly a school-setting
not recommended if you don’t like older manga, big shoujo eyes, seemingly idiotic heroine, a lot of characters, unresolved problems/issues/story line (it’s only towards the end really, the part when you feel like you need more when there actually could and should be more to tell, only my opinion!), art style develops as you read- it’s interesting to see
Comedy-Romance
Soushi Souai / Love With Each Other
ongoing as of July 2017
more on the lighthearted side, very sweet
recommended if you like light story/reading, comedic scenes, short but sweet romantic scenes, school-setting, comedic take on the bad boy-good girl romance pairing
not recommended if you don’t like little to no plot/story, snippets of daily life, lack of natural love progression (since we only see short snippets)
Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun
ongoing as of July 2017
an anime
recommended if you like entertaining and amusing characters, abundance of comedic moments/scenes, some cringe-worthy comedy, shoujo trope parody, some slice of life though exaggerated
not recommended if you don’t like lack of seriousness, 4-koma style manga, misunderstandings that lead to comedy rather than drama, pitiful heroine with unfulfilled love so far, slow and little love progression
Josei-Romance
Unfortunately I haven’t gotten the chance to explore the Josei genre much, and only ever read a bunch of short series and one shots. I have limited recommendations for this one.
Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii / It’s Difficult to Love an Otaku
ongoing as of July 2017
recommended if you like slice of life genre, lots of comedic scenes, dynamic relationships, relatable characters, just overall relatability, light-hearted tone of story, amusing characters and relationships
not recommended if you don’t like little to no plot/story, lack of serious scenes, short scenes and chapters
Koisuru Nante Kiitenai
completed! 3 chapters
short read, cute and simple
recommended if you like office/work setting, coworker romance, romance with a rocky start before warming up to each other, female denying her feelings
not recommended if you don’t like short stories, female protagonist who slightly lacks confidence (but she’s not unlikable), jerk coworkers
Bonus:
Barairo my Honey
completed! 13 chapters
a bit of an older manga
recommended if you like some supernatural elements in romance manga, unique story, a female protagonist that says whatever is on her mind, a closed off love interest that slowly opens up, some other cute cliches
not recommended if you don’t like big shoujo eyes…or more like shoujo eyelashes lol (even though this is not shoujo), serious lack of story depth though it has a plot, the art style is slightly off-putting
Shounen Ai-Romance
Hidamari ga Kikoeru
completed! under 20 chapters
recommended if you like college setting, characters falling in love naturally, slight angst, slice of life genre, honest attempts at communication between the lovers, friendship evolving to relationship, sincere and vulnerable protagonists, character with hearing impairment/hard of hearing!
not recommended if you don’t like slow buildup (in the beginning), lack of exciting scenes (if you know what i mean), some miscommunication between characters
Fujunna Renai
completed! 3 chapters
quick and easy read
recommended if you like school setting, simple story, unrequited love, slightly slice of life genre, bit of angst
not recommended if you don’t like some drama, miscommunication between characters, love triangles, slightly drawn out scenes where the character is trying to figure out their feelings, not much lovey-dovey scenes
Yaoi-Romance
So I’ve chosen manga that are as PG and SFW as I could possibly find, though I know Yaoi tends to…not be lol
Hana no Miyako de
Hana no Mizo Shiru
these two manga are related, with the second one considered a sequel to the first
completed! both are relatively short, sweet, and simple reads
fun fact: they are created from the same mangaka as Ten Count (which is quite a popular manga)
recommended if you like romance in a school setting, a love story with natural progression and isn’t too forced, angst angst angst (do you like pain, cause I do)
not recommended if you don’t like slightly slow-paced romance, lack of scenes that are …exciting, forbidden lovers theme and heart-wrenching angst in the first one
Psychological
Oyasumi Punpun
completed! under 150 chapters
mature genre/tag, has very mature themes (ages 18 and up please)
recommended if you like complex characters, complex and realistic relationships, relatable situations and story, slice of life, some angst, mature themes, thought-provoking symbolism
not recommended if you don’t like toxic characters and manipulative personalities, irresponsible and abusive characters, main focus on characters’ daily lives/problems, abstract character style (you’ll understand when you see it), frustrating and highly triggering situations/scenes, somewhat disconcerting art style, suicide warning!
Parasyte
completed! 64 chapters
an anime
a much older manga
recommended if you like action, sci-fi, heavy plot, character development, complicated antagonists, tragedy genre, violent and intense situations
not recommended if you don’t like older manga, relatively simple artwork, slow story buildup, gruesome murders/deaths, blood/gore, some unanswered questions/plot holes
One shot Manga
Just a few of the many, many collections of one shots out there
Romance/Shoujo
Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te o by Tagaki Shigeyoshi (AKA Ogawa Chise - different pen name depending on the genre! interesting right?)
supernatural
Gyu…tte Shite Ii? by Shiraishi Yuki
school setting sort of, typical shoujo feel
Shounen Ai/Yaoi
Gokujou Dessert by Ogawa Chise (AKA Tagaki Shigeyoshi)
school setting, kinda NSFW (compared to the mangaka’s other work…)
Mousou Cherry by Kamon Saeko
school setting, this is a small collection of one-shots, NSFW!
.
.
.
That’s it for now! Thank you so much for the ask, this was super fun! As you can see I favor a lot of older manga, so this list is kinda biased.
I’m sure there are better ones to recommend but I can’t remember them ):
Please let me know if I left out any “warnings” about the manga that I listed. I actually haven’t read these manga in a while, (some I haven’t read in YEARS) so I forgot some things. I’ll be editing and adding to this list as I remember more about the manga that I’ve read.
Hope the list isn’t (too) disappointing!

So I've just recently started reading Noragami after watching the anime a couple months ago, and the whole time I can't stop making comparisons to the Legend of Eli Monpress and seeing similarities in several of the characters. Putting most of this under a cut because there's only a few of you who have read Eli Monpress, and also because my lovely roommate/bestie has only just started reading Eli Monpress and there's gonna be some later novel spoilers in here.
This all kinda got started when, as I was watching the anime, I began to draw connections between the relationship between Nora and Yato and the one between Eli and Benehime. There was the whole mysterious past vibe going on, and the feeling that Nora had a similar role in his past of someone Yato once considered dear but whose manipulations had brought him to the brink of hating her, but not quite able to get away despite wanting to. The farther along I get, the less I'm thinking of Nora as Benehime exclusively and the more I'm feeling like she and Fujisaki together kind of fill the Benehime/Lord of Storms roles together on a sort of composite. Fujisaki's obviously the real one Yato can't get away from because Fujisaki could destroy him in an instant, and I definitely get the vibe that he's mainly using Nora as a weapon in his agenda regarding Yato as well as his apathy toward mankind, similar to how Benehime viewed the Lord of Storms as a weapon both to corral Eli and to escape her duties as Shepherdess. But Nora's still the one making the unwanted visits at inconvenient times in life and doing the meddling so I can still kinda see Benehime in her too. (Side note: personality-wise I also definitely see the demon in Fujisaki but I digress.)
Yato is obviously my Eli in this analogy, but it goes beyond just being the protagonists. Both feel a strong desire to remake themselves in a different image than the one set before them by their fathers, both have a desire for fame and are largely driven by their pursuits of that fame, both tend to be driven and determined in an optimistic way (except for their periods of captivity, where they seem to fall into the same hopelessness before finally regaining the determination to stand up for themselves) and while they can be viewed by those who don't know them as miscreants and troublemakers, the ones close to them are able to see their hearts of gold.
I wasn't expecting it to go much beyond this until I got to the arc in the manga where Hiyori nearly turned into a fully-fleshed ayakashi and abruptly realized that she was the Nico in the story. Their personalities are so different that I never thought to make that comparison but it definitely fits: characters toeing the line between their human nature and the potential to give in to a very dark, destructive side of them, who both prove to have the determination necessary to come back from what would have normally been the point of no return, and who both have a goal of returning to fully human while at the same times coming to terms with the reality that this may not be possible and learning to accept and utilize their difficulties to help the ones they love.
Another obvious one I nearly missed was Bishamon as Miranda. Both women take no nonsense and can seem hardened and scary from the outside but prove to be very caring and kindhearted in reality. They both feel a responsibility for spirits in need and are known for taking in many of those spirits to offer them their own strength, even to the point where others see them as reckless because they're offering that strength to too many or too powerful spirits. They are introduced as enemies of the main character and their entourage, who over the course of time develop a grudging respect bordering on outright trust and friendship for them, and both ride unusual, fearsome mounts. I would have originally put Kazuma as Mellinor when I first realized Bishamon as Miranda (i.e. like thirty minutes ago) due mainly to his being her most powerful shinki and his unswerving loyalty, but the more I think on it the less I'm married to that idea. I've still got about ten chapters left to catch up so I'm mid-battle arc and don't know how things are going to play out ultimately, but I'm definitely seeing Mellinor similarities in Nana: imprisoned for a long period of time, way too powerful for most people to think it wise to bind her, mad at all of those who she feels wronged her, but united with Bishamon for a common goal, at least for the time being.
It's obviously not a perfect comparison (and nor would I want it to be or why even read both stories?) I'm kind of disappointed I haven't found a suitable Josef, and that I haven't really been able to give roles to Kofuku and Daikoku, who are far and above my favorite noragami characters (although maybe Slorn and Nivel a tiny bit?) but that's just where my brain has been recently. If anyone has any to add to my list here though please let me know your thoughts!

Because I like shipping and statistics, I guess.
(Sort of prompted by this post. ...Or maybe it was this post.) So, here's me, looking at all my ships and deciding if they (and their canon relationship) count as the “emotional heart of the story”, OR if I were to reach in and rip them (primarily their relationship) out, would the story be torn apart? YES = they are necessary to the story! NO = the story would get on fine without their relationship UNCLEAR = their relationship has an uncertain importance to the plot Before you read the whole long list (and keep in mind, these are just my ships, and not even all of them, and just my opinions), have some statistics. TOTAL SHIPS = about 87 YES ships = 56 (m/m = 28, f/m = 28) NO ships = 15 (m/m = 9, f/m = 6) UNCLEAR ships = 16 (m/m = 8, f/m = 7, f/f = 1) and because the original intent of this post (as mentioned here) was to see if m/m ships tend to be the “emotional heart of the story” (aka do I mostly ship m/m and is that why?) : M/M ships = 45 (YES = 28, NO = 9, UNCLEAR = 8) F/M ships = 41 (YES = 28, NO = 6, UNCLEAR = 7) F/F ships = 1 ^^; (UNCLEAR = 1) And have one more set of stats, dealing with if these ships are canon or not. (“Mostly Canon” are ships whose canon status is debatable, like it was never explicitly stated, or it's an option, like in some games.) CANON = 27 (m/m = 5, f/m = 21, f/f = 1) Mostly CANON = 12 (m/m = 2, f/m = 10) Not Canon = 48 (m/m = 38, f/m = 10) So, I could probably stand to analyze these stats a little more, but the overall takeaways I'm getting are these: – My ships are fairly evenly SPLIT between m/m and f/m. – MOST of my ships are relevant to the overarching story of the series. --Most of my ships are NOT CANON, but not by a huge margin. --The “heart of the story” is SPLIT between m/m and f/m ships in my favorite series. Feel free to scroll through my 87 ships, if you want to see how I labeled them (“heart of the story”, versus not). Includes some reasoning, in most cases. Ships (or their series, in a few cases) listed under the cut: Killugon, Leopika, Oumugi, Cobymeppo, UsoNa, ZoLu, Hanna/Zombie, McHanzo, Reaper76, Roadrat, Promptis, Gladnis, DekuMight, Mammet, Genosai, Victuri, Destiel, Shakarian, Jaal/Ryder, Newmann, R/Julie, Kataang, Zukaang, Korrasami, Wuko, Gigolas, ZADR, Wolfstar, Fawkes/LW, Gob/LW, Nick/SS, Trying Human, Otasune, Bosselot, Torikoma, Noragami, Oremo, Gamako, JeanMarco, CLAMP, Taibani, Tiger/Bunny, Okabe/Kurisu, 93, 58, Otani/Koizumi, Doctor/Rose, Johnlock, Sterek, Hannigram, Rumbelle, Hopurai, Sorriku, Akuroku, Leo/Ezio, Haytham/Ziio, JakDax, Nate/Elena, Lutecest, GoldenHeart, Mitjo, Blackice, Felix/Calhoun, Om/Shanti, Grocket, Max/Furiosa, Capable/Nux, Seregil/Alec, Thom/Goran, Diana Wynne Jones, Robin McKinley, Jesse/Suze, Mabelmando, Muck, Vito/Wilhelm, Lewis/Vivi, Fry/Leela, Goliath/Elisa. Good lord I can't believe I typed those all out. Well, anyway. Now you don't have to bother clicking through just to satisfy your curiosity, if none of those piques your interest.
Hunter x Hunter: --Gon/ Killua : YES, Gon and Killua's relationship IS the heart of the story. Without their intense friendship, many of the plot points in the story would never have happened. While Gon may still have found his father, the whole story would be extremely different, perhaps to the point of unrecognizability. –Leorio/Kurapika : NO. Unfortunately, as much as I love them, their relationship is not strictly integral to the story. --Meruem/Komugi : (mostly canon) YES. While it's not the entire story, their relationship IS vital to the fate of both characters and that particular arc. One Piece: --Coby/Helmeppo : UNCLEAR. While Coby and Helmeppo are not main characters, Coby was a catalyst in the early part of the series, and will probably be important again towards the end. Also, while Coby could have gotten where he is without Helmeppo, Helmeppo would likely not be who he is now without Coby, making Coby integral to Helmeppo's story. --Usopp/Nami : NO. I love them a lot, and they're both important to the story in different ways, but their relationship is not strictly necessary. --Zoro/Luffy : UNCLEAR. Obviously, Luffy is the main character, and Zoro is also super important. The story probably could have gotten where it was going without Zoro's involvement, but there have definitely been several key points which would have been different without him. (Early one, especially, and the end of Thriller Bark.) This one might require more thought. Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name: Hanna/{Zombie} : YES. While the story may still have happened without {…} (Conrad still showing up that night), the entire story would have had a different tone, as {…} is the narrator, and certain key events would have played out differently. Overwatch: McCree/Hanzo : NO. Admittedly, they don't have a lot to do with each other in canon, no matter how much I like them. Soldier 76/Reaper : YES. Their story was vital to the formation of Overwatch as we know it. Roadhot/Junkrat : NO. Not exactly vital to the overall story, although they do seem fairly important to each other. Final Fantasy XV: Noctis/Prompto and Gladio/Ignis : NO. I mean, I love the ships, but technically neither of these ships are really super important to the overall story. I would be willing to listen to arguments for this one though, since obviously the relationship between the four of them actually is super important. Boku no Hero Academia: Izuku/All Might : YES. Nothing would have happened in this series if it weren't for the relationship between these two. Not only would Izuku be lacking the power to succeed, he'd have been lacking the training and also possibly the inspiration. Likewise, All Might would likely have stagnated, instead of grown as a character. Back to the Future: Marty/Doc : YES. There would be literally no point to the entire series without either character or their relationship exactly as it is. One Punch Man: Saitama/Genos : YES. Although it may be debatable, I believe that Genos' involvement with Saitama is critical to the story. Is it, at very least, critical to Genos' growth. Yuri on Ice!!: Viktor/Yuuri : (canon) YES. Canon-gay main characters; kind of the point of the story. Supernatural: Dean/Castiel : YES. Though Dean and Sam's relationship is probably still more important, I would definitely argue that most of the plot from season 4 on could not have happened without Castiel's involvement with Dean. Mass Effect: Shepard/Garrus : (mostly canon) UNCLEAR. Garrus was fairly important to the story, especially early on, but even if he had never come around at all, the story would have been about the same. However, since you get to determine the story to some degree, you could say their relationship is about as important as you make it. Ryder/Jaal : (mostly canon) UNCLEAR. About the same as above. Their relationship was important, but not significantly moreso than other characters'. Pacific Rim: Newton/Hermann : YES. Without them working together, the plot would not have been resolved. (One could even argue their arguing was critical to the story.) Warm Bodies: R/Julie : (canon) YES. Like most of my other book ships, these two were written with each other in mind. Avatar/Legend of Korra: Katara/Aang : (canon) YES. Though the story could have got along without their romantic involvement, their general relationship was absolutely vital to the plot. Zuko/Aang : YES. Their relationship provided most of the conflict from the early half, and much of the character development from the later half. Korra/Asami : (canon) UNCLEAR. If they had been only acquaintances, the plot would likely have carried on mostly the same, however the ending would have been different, of course. Mako/ Wu : NO. Their relationship made a couple of plot points in the last season, but the story would have got by okay without it. The Lord of the Rings: Gimli/Legolas : NO, although I'd be willing to hear arguments to this one. I don't recall that their relationship was particularly necessary to the plot's resolution. Invader Zim: Zim/Dib : YES. Literally the entirety of the story would be pointless without their relationship. Harry Potter: Sirius/Remus : YES. Primarily in the 3rd book/movie, but the story would have gone drastically differently if not for their past friendship. It would likely have had a huge butterfly effect. Fallout 3: Fawkes/Lone Wanderer : YES. Fawkes was key in helping get the GECK, and also having LW, y'know, not die in the DLC. If Fawkes didn't massively respect the LW, the LW would just be shit out of luck. And also dead. Gob/Lone Wanderer : NO. Poor Gob's just stuck slaving away as a bartender. Hell I don't think you even have to talk to him once to advance the story. =[ Fallout 4: Nick Valentine/Sole Survivor : YES. Nick is instrumental in helping SS find their son, and if it weren't for his respect for them, SS would have a very difficult time with several legs of the journey. And don't get me started on how their backstories are a mirror of each other! Trying Human: Rose/Hue, Longus/Don, Philena/EBE1, Quazky/Gracelis, FJ12/Pigment : (canon) YES. The charm of a good webcomic, eh? =D Metal Gear Solid: Snake/Otacon : YES. Moderately important in MGS1, Otacon and Snake's relationship becomes crucial in 2 and 4. Also, “Can love bloom on the battlefield?” Yes, Otacon. Yes it can. (I'd write a manifesto about these two if I had the energy.) Big Boss/Ocelot : YES. Quite a lot of the entire series would never have happened if it weren't for Ocelot's hero-worship crush on Big Boss. It's pretty important. Toriko: Toriko/Komatsu : YES. To be fair, I haven't read/watch this series in years, but the earlier parts of the series put a lot of focus on the budding partnership between these two characters. Ugh, talk to me about the part where they climb a giant beanstalk in order to eat a heart-shaped vegetable in tandem to commemorate their partnership. Geez. It's a little hard to say if their relationship was vital to the actual plot, because I'm still not sure what the plot was, but it was definitely vital to the story. Noragami: Yato/Hiyori : (mostly canon) YES. As the main characters, the story revolves mostly around them, and if they didn't care for each other, there would be no reason for half of the events to happen. Kazuma/Bishamon : (mostly canon) UNCLEAR. At least one key backstory event only occurred because of their relationship, but the story might have happened similarly without it. Kofuku/Daikoku : (mostly canon) NO. I love them, but the story could probably exist okay without them. Ore Monogatari: Takeo/Yamato : (canon) YES, but obviously, as it's a romantic comedy. The story is literally all about them. Kill la Kill: Gamagoori/Mako : NO. Although they featured together in a few important scenes, the story could have progressed without them ever being in the same frame. Attack on Titan: Jean/Marco : NO. The entire story would have probably been just fine without them, although Jean might be a different person without Marco's influence. CLAMP: (mostly canon) YES. I'm just gonna go ahead and say that all of my ships from CLAMP series are vital to both the story and the characters' growth. This might be an exaggeration, but only slightly. Tiger&Bunny: Kotetsu/Barnaby: YES. Because, obviously, what's Tiger&Bunny without Tiger and Bunny? The story would have gone nowhere without either of them, and the focus on their growing relationship was super important. Steins;Gate: Okabe/Kurisu : (mostly canon) YES. The plot forces the relationship between Okabe and Kurisu in an interesting way, so it is sort of super relevant. Saiyuki: Sanzo/Goku : YES. Gojyo/Hakkai : UNCLEAR. To be honest, I just haven't watched the series in a while, so I'm a little cloudy on the finer points of this ship. I'd say they're important, and from what I remember they are important to each other's story, but I don't recall how vital their relationship is to the overall plot. Lovely Complex: Otani/Koizumi : (canon) YES, because it's a romantic comedy and these are the two main characters. Doctor Who: Doctor/Rose : (canon) YES. In love with two different Doctors, and (as far as I know) the only one to end up with one permanently! Their relationship was so damn important that it came back even after Rose retired as a companion! Sherlock: Sherlock/John : YES. The series wouldn't even remotely exist without their relationship. Teen Wolf: Stiles/Derek : NO. The necessity of either character to the overall plot is debatable; they certainly didn't have to interact in order for the series to continue, even if those were some of the best scenes. Hannibal: Hannibal/Will : YES. Though I never caught up with the series, it was clear even from the very start of season 1 that the relationship between these two was the drive of the whole story. Once Upon a Time: Rumpelstiltskin/Belle : (canon) UNCLEAR. Though they're both important to each other and other characters at multiple points in the story, their relationship is probably not all that important to the other characters. (To be fair, this is based mostly off of seasons 1 and 2.) Final Fantasy XIII: Hope/Lightning : NO? It's been a while since I played the game, and while I love Hope, I seem to recall that he wasn't terribly important? (Was anybody important in that game? What even was the plot??) Kingdom Hearts: Sora/Riku : YES. I mean, Sora did spend pretty much forever searching for Riku, and Riku did spend basically the whole time being a pain. Axel/Roxas : UNCLEAR. Roxas' existence and story probably could have happened without Axel. But to be honest, it's Kingdom Hearts; I could never remember all the fine details. Assassin's Creed: Leonardo/Ezio : UNCLEAR. I mean, Ezio would have died or failed several times without Leo's inventions, but Leo himself wasn't strictly necessary. Haytham/Ziio : (canon) YES. Well, Conner wouldn't exists without them, so. Jak and Daxter: Jak/Daxter: YES. There would have been literally no point to the series if it weren't for their relationship. Uncharted: Nate/Elena : (canon) UNCLEAR. A rare female love interest, Elena was there from the very beginning and throughout the whole series, kicking ass and helping the plot along. Could the series have gone on without her and Nate's intricate relationship? Probably. But who would have wanted that? Bioshock Infinite: Robert/Rosalind : (mostly canon) YES. Only because of their fantastic weird obsession with science and themselves was the cross-dimensional travel that made the plot happen even possible. Nimona: Blackheart/Goldenloin : (mostly canon) YES. Their relationship is central to the backstory, and the later parts of the story. Long Exposure: Mitchel/Jonas : (canon) YES. Again, because it is a webcomic, and they're specifically written with each other in mind. Rise of the Guardians: Jack/Pitch : UNCLEAR. While both are critical to the story, it probably could have gone on fine without their interactions. However, Jack's personal arc wouldn't have had the same emotion without Pitch's involvement. Wreck-it Ralph: Felix/Calhoun : (canon) UNCLEAR. Their relationship was a key point in the story, but the overall plot could have probably happened without it. Om Shanti Om: Om/Shanti // Om/Sandy : (mostly canon) YES. Without Om's love for Shanti, the entire second half of the plot wouldn't have worked out. Sandy's love for Om was also critical. Guardians of the Galaxy: Rocket/Groot : YES. I think it's safe to say that the whole crew would have died if it weren't for Groot, and it's unlikely that he would have been there in such a capacity without his partnership with Rocket. Mad Max: Fury Road: Max/Furiosa : (canon) YES. Story couldn't go anywhere without them, and their relationship was important at certain points. Capable/Nux : (canon) YES. Though their relationship was not vital to the overall story, it played a huge part in the resolution. Nightrunner: Seregil/Alec : (canon) YES. Canon-gay main characters, obviously the story goes nowhere without them. HERO: Thom/Goran : (canon) UNCLEAR. Though the relationship between the characters is a key element in the story, it probably could have happened pretty similarly even if the two did not develop a romantic involvement. (Would've been a different story; still, Thom's other relationships are roughly as important.) Diana Wynne Jones' books: Howl/Sophie, Vierran/Mordian, Tom/Penny, etc : (canon) YES. All main characters, written with the intention of being involved with each other, they are vital to their stories. Robin McKinley's books: Narl/Rosie, Cecily/Little John, Beauty/Beast, etc : (canon) YES (mostly). Main characters written to revolve around each other, with the exception of Cecily and Little John, whose relationship was probably not strictly necessary for the overall story. The Mediator: Jesse/Suze: (canon) YES. Same deal with my other canon book ships: they were literally made for each other. Gravity Falls: Mabel/Mermando : (mostly canon) NO. Their relationship was only relevant for an episode, and had it not existed, most of the story would have been the same. Motorcity: Mike/Chuck : UNCLEAR. It probably ought to be a “no”, but the series didn't get that far, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. XD; The Reward: Vito/Wilhelm: (??? canon?) YES. I mean, the story was 100% about their bromance. Mystery Skulls Animated: Lewis/Vivi : (canon) YES. Poor ghost man just misses his nerdy girlfriend. Futurama: Fry/Leela : (canon) UNCLEAR, since Futurama didn't really have an overarching plot for their relationship to be relevant to. But GOD did you see the last episode? I mean, they were definitely a central plot point of the story, even if they weren't strictly 'necessary' to it. Gargoyles: Goliath/Elisa : (canon) YES, hella yes. Their relationship (both platonic and romantic) was greatly important to the overall story, many times. Though the gargoyle characters could have existed without Elisa, the story would have lacked most of its emotional component. (And that’s just about that! I left off a bunch of old ships, because there’s just no way I have the time and energy to list stuff I haven’t been into in years. Also I probably forgot some, but oops?)
#elo talks#shipping#long post#statistics#look a comprehensive list of most of my ships#please feel free to reblog or reply or message me with any comments you have#although this is of course all just my opinion

I know I don’t usually (ever) do manga reviews. However I recently got a batch in (Bungo Stray Dogs, Noragami and the latest Natsume!) so I wanted to share. I mostly picked up manga of shows I wanted another season of, but nothing was announced. Like a little manga tantrum. You don’t wanna tell me how the story ends? Fine!!! I’ll find out for myself! Showed them, by throwing more money at their industry exactly as I was meant to do…
All these manga are of shows I like, with one exception that is me and I was really excited about it.
I started hearing murmurs about The Way of The Househusband in the past few months and everyone seemed very keen on it. I really haven’t seen this much manga hype in a while. (I remember PunPun making a huge splash). The title and cover art had me intrigued. When I heard that it was a short form comedy, in the shopping basket it went!
You can pretty much figure out the premise from said title and cover art. Tatsu is an ex Yakuza who turned over a new leaf after getting married and is now giving it his all to become the best Househusband he possibly can. An occasionally challenging task that puts a surprising amount of his former skills to good use. Because being a Househusband is no joke!
So is it really that great? In a way it definitely is but in another…
The first volume is the only thing currently available in Canada and it will cost you the usual 13-15$ new. The art style is nice. Although there are some fantastically detailed scenes such as Tatsu’s impressive tattoo collection lovingly stretched over muscles and scars. For the most part it’s what I call average nice. It’s nice, I like it and I have nothing else to say.
You may notice from the various images throughout this post, that it’s surprisingly realistic. Aside from the running gag if making Tatsu as sinister looking as possible in random situations, the visuals remain fairly down to earth. No crazy costumes and impossible hair. Even proportions and attractiveness are generally believable. To me this was a bit of an oddity for a scewball comedy where visual wackiness is often part of the joke.
Fact is, down to earth designs are the perfect complement to the naturalistic an understated comedy of The Way of the Househusband. There are few clear punch lines throughout the manga and you couldn’t easily imagine a laugh track over it. The humour comes from the surreal superimposition of Tatsu’s character and all the tropes he embodies with the completely opposite circumstances in which he exists. I love the tongue in cheek style so this worked perfectly for me.
This said, if you take a step back, there are really only one or two jokes in this first volume that essentially get repeated over and over again. Tatsu uses means straight out of a Yakuza textbook to accomplish everyday domestic tasks, or he comes off as unintentionally threatening and misunderstandings ensue. That’s basically the core of every single chapter. In this first volume the collected stories were short enough and charming enough for it to not matter that much but I can see it getting old if the formula doesn’t change in the future.
On the other hand, I would also be willing to put up with it for a few more volumes just to spend a bit more time with these characters. Because they are fantastic. The character building in this manga is by far it’s greatest strength. Even the more minor players (let’s face it, that’s everyone except Tatsu) are still somehow imbued with personality and independent wit. People in this universe seem very real and very charming. I would gladly watch (read) these folks keep doing common every day tasks for a long time. As it is, the first volume was just a delight to breeze through.
Which brings me to the practical problem I had with The Way of the Househusband. I am by no means a speed reader. On top of that I like to take my time savouring manga. Looking at the panels and going back over some bits. It takes me a while to get through a volume. When I say I breezed through The Way of the Househusband, I read the entire volume in a single bus ride and had some time to kill. I’m guessing roughly 20 minutes cover to cover for a casual, relaxed read. And i8t’s not like I was skimming through it, I carefully read every line. Carefully enough to clearly remember it weeks later and see no point in rereading it yet.
I want to support the manga industry and I’m lucky to be able to afford it. However, I can’t deny that 15$ for 20 minutes of entertainment (if you stretch) is a pretty steep price. That’s less than a single episode, imagine if your streaming subscription was 15$ per episode?
To me, the experience was still worth it. I’m happy I bought this volume and planning on getting the next when it comes out. I enjoy being able to lend it to friends, it looks fun on my shelf. If you would rather get it used, I can completely understand that. Or I can lend you my copy!
The Way of The Househusband – Manga Hype! I know I don't usually (ever) do manga reviews. However I recently got a batch in (Bungo Stray Dogs, Noragami and the latest Natsume!) so I wanted to share.

2017: Year in Review
It's 2018!
While thinking about what I'm going to write on this post, I realized that I didn't keep my promise to write a post in the beginning of 2017 last year. I also didn't write any resolution, so I have nothing to check this year. If you didn't catch it already, I always wrote a post to start off a new year, and if I'm not wrong I had done it for 2015 and 2016 but not 2017. So here I am, this will be a bit long!
2017 was like a movie... which has no climax. Nothing dramatic happens in my life in 2017. No dramatic events, no climaxes, nothing. It's like that one short moment of quietness in a movie. It just flew by.
However, even though nothing big has happened, I feel like I've been learning a lot this past year. I experienced many things that weighed on me a lot that makes it a little difficult for me to write this. But let me recall things that have happened in my life in 2017:
Volunteering
In the middle of the year, I decided to resign from the organization I've been actively working in for the past two years. I decided to put a stop in volunteering and give full attention to my studies. Even though I feel like I'm always doing and giving what I can there, I feel like there are a lot of things to regret. Especially because there are times when I feel like I can do more, but I didn't. During volunteering, I had both fun moments and awful times. Despite that, I really enjoyed my time there. Although I have so many weaknesses and lacking so much in many department, I'm really thankful for the opportunity to be a part of an amazing and wonderful team.
Stopping activities
For the past few years I've always been able to have fun by doing activities in student organization or volunteering as I've said before. However, when I'm starting my 7th semester, I put all of them to stop as I thought I should be focused on my studies more. Sadly, it didn't go the way I wanted to. Even though I promised myself that I would be working on things that I wanted to do--let's say, improving my technical skills--I wasn't able to do that. You know. Most of the time I'll just procrastinating or do things that have nothing to do with my goals, like reading manga or watch tv shows. Although I was happy when I did that but looking back... I've been wasting a lot of time...
I feel like I haven't been able to achieve great things this year. So that's a thing in itself.
Failing
On a more serious note, I tried to graduate early this year. It turns out I wasn't able to. So right now I'm extending my study one more semester. But as I go through last few days of the semester and see my friends preparing for their final presentation, ready to graduate, I can't help but feeling envious. I don't regret it because I have tried my best, it's just a bit regretful because if I graduate early that is something that certainly will make my parents and a lot of other people happy too but I wasn't able to do it, that's why I feel a bit weird. Because I thought like I have disappointed a lot of people.
So I talked to one-or two-seniors that I'm close to and they gave me good advices. I'm thankful for them and planning to do it as soon as possible. I want to write down some notes about what I feel, what I want to do and what kind of person I want to be. But you know, seeing my friends busy with their lives because they have finished one important phase while I haven't makes me feel a bit unsure about myself. Because you don't know if you're doing good or bad. Personally I don't really feel bad, but because everyone is doing really well, I feel like I have to do well too.
I don't know, I just feel a bit under accomplished this year.
Art
One thing that makes me like this year a little bit more is the fact that I was able to embrace my creative side more than before. I was able to draw more and I really like that fact. I hope I can draw more this year because, really, I realized that I love drawing since I was very little and hopefully I'll be able to draw for a long time! Drawing is like channeling my negative energy outside (that's why they look gloomy). While I'm still very lacking of course I'm looking forward improving myself in drawing.
Music
I discovered a lot of new music (for me) in 2017!! For J-Pop I listened to Sekai no Owari (fav tracks: MAGIC, Mermaid Rhapsody), SPITZ (Sora mo Toberu Hazu, Robinson), Mr.Children (365 Hi, HANABI, Sign, Tomorrow Never Knows), UNISON SQUARE GARDEN (Sugar Song and Bitter Steps), Kenshi Yonezu (Haiiro to Ao), Sheena Ringo (Jinsei wa Yume Darake), Sukima Switch (Akatsuki no Uta, Kanade), and a lot of other things. For K-Pop I listened to Wanna One (and Produce 101 songs), Akdong Musician (their songs are always gold), Oh My Girl, BTOB, LOONA, APRIL, and others. I also listened to OSTs which animes I watch this year: Noragami Aragoto, Osomatsu-San, Shirobako, Sakura Quest, Kobayashi-san no Maid Dragon. I also listened to The Beatles (and understand why they are so popular) and many other songs that I like.
So... that’s 2017 for me!
My resolutions this year:
1. Graduate (need no explanation) 2. Get employed/continue study in good university (amen) 3. Read/draw/write more (maybe 1 book/drawing/blog post a month) 4. Exercise more and eat till heart's content (I discovered my love for sweets) 5. Learn new skill (still don't know what)
Hopefully I'll be a better person this year...
See you in the next post!
