Dear god I hope we get another season of Unicorn: Warriors Eternal Spoilers ahead:

(I'm mostly musing about Edred fkjgnjfkngvk)

This passage right here is such a win for me. So obviously a lot of my thoughts prior to the finale were in the context that season 1 of UWE might have had a soft ending to the series just in case they didn't get another season, (I'm very glad we got a finale firmly invested in another season) but I spoke at length with my friend leading up to the finale about how much I worried that Edred wasn't going to have a happy ending just because he seems like a great conduit for tragedy. So here's where my brain was, we have no idea how long he got to spend with Melinda in their first lives but the whole time they knew each other they were on this quest to defeat the evil, and they've maybe spent a few years at most in any subsequent incarnations together while, again, hunting the evil. Edred's people live thousands of years, so he and Melinda have had pitifully little time together from his perspective and they've never had the chance to have a carefree love because of their quest. I was really worried about this because of how easy it was for Winston to be mutually friendly with Emmelinda, I like Winston a lot and he was a worthy romantic option, he was no less noble in his devotion than Edred, so I got the sense that if the romantic tension was going to collapse that Edred would lose out to Winston because Edred just couldn't roll with the punches and overcome how different Melinda had become. We kinda see this in episode 9 when Edred tells Seng that she's someone else now while watching her and Winston have fun. Edred has no home to ever return to, the quest is not eternal, and like, if this was the last opportunity he ever get to see Melinda it hurts that they don't even get to be in love. So I was really feeling for him leading up to the finale. But now with a possible season 2, I like that if Tartakovsky keeps this attitude about Emmelinda, we have a lot of options to explore with all our star-crossed (former)lovers, I like the possibility of getting to explore what a new friendship looks between people who were lovers through the ages, I hope that if Edred and Melinda aren't lovers anymore that they get to talk about what they are now and how those lingering feelings and memories impact them going forward. I want to know what it was like over those 4 years that Edred and Winston had to come to terms with their situations and with each other. Seeing Edred pursue someone else now that he's divorced would be very fun, because, well fuck, what do you do when you have new feelings after thousands of years on a legendary quest? I love that possibility I would also genuinely love the opportunity for Edred (and 👀 )/or Winston to be able to build new love with Emmelinda now that she belongs to herself. Aaa!! I have so many thoughts, I really hope we get another season, I like how many places we have to go and grow!

ok so imagine you're a guy. and you got these two best friends. and they're closer to each other than you are to them, and thats fine, cause you cant be everyones best friend. and then imagine some other guy comes in, and suddenly they become your other friends best friend, and you're kind of forgotten, and thats fine, right? you've got other people, and you're still friends with them even if you're not as close as you used to be. and then you visit one of your friends who's been going through a hard time, and he hurts you. he hurts you so bad you'll never be the same again. he takes something irreplaceable from you. and you come back, and you come back, and everyone's forgiven him and everyone's forgotten about you. and your friends who you used to be best friends with? they replaced you, replaced you with this other guy who's weird and forgetful and you don't get what they see in him. and you don't get why everyone is so willing to forgive the person that hurt you, that took something so important away from you. and to your other best friend, now you're nothing but a coworker. a coworker. it's almost insulting. and you're jealous and a little bit spiteful, so you make a plan. a plan to take from your friend that hurt you what he took from you. because he took everything from you. and you won't stop until you take everything back.

Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in
