the way jolyne breaks so much convention as a jojo protagonist from not being introduced as an inherent badass and having to earn the right to be called that over the course of the story to her life being over from the moment that story begins while still not painting the events of it as a soul-crushing tragedy but rather a journey through which she reconciles and finds new meaning and purpose to herself as a person. i love jojo stone ocean i wish women were real

suddenly feeling very ill after interpreting tianlang-jun and su xiyan's relationship and qijiu's as foils to bingqiu's. all three relationships suffered greatly because of a horrific big misunderstanding, aggravated further by a lack of communication thereafter.
su xiyan, yue qingyuan, and shen yuan are all similar in their decision not to communicate the truth out of guilt, believing that they have failed and have (though unwillingly) abandoned their loved one thus deserve no forgiveness, just suffering.
meanwhile, the common denominator between tianlang-jun, shen jiu, and binghe is the self-loathing born out of the fact that despite the perceived betrayal of their loved one, forgiveness still won out (even before they knew of the truth and received the apology they were due) and the love they feel have persevered.
unfortunately for tianlang-jun and su xiyan, tianlang-jun didn't even get to find out the truth in the original plot, and it had simply been too late in the svsss universe.
same goes for qijiu, shen jiu doesn't get to find out the truth in pidw. meanwhile, yue qingyuan musters the courage to confess his truth too late in svsss; the shen qingqiu that awoken from that one qi deviation all those years ago is no longer the same one he'd loved—which interestingly can be, in some way, paralleled with how shen yuan initially believed that the luo binghe who emerged from the abyss is no longer his beloved white lotus binghe and thus his own lack of attempt to ask forgiveness and explain his actions to binghe upon his return.

She could still just go back to bed and keep her secrets to herself. But he didn't want her to. Maybe she didn't want to, either.

⛑️and/or 🛏️ for any terrible blonde boy in the roster rn <3
you know me. i can’t resist a little (probably inaccurate) first aid.
The only thing that saved him, the Doctor is painfully aware, was that Lucy Saxton had never held a gun in her life. If not for that, there would have been nothing for the Doctor to do, but beg the Master to regenerate. There’s another life skimming along the one he’s living, so close he can almost taste the helpless grief, but it was already unreachable by the time the bullet lodged itself in the Master’s shoulder instead and when the Doctor finally dragged him (unwilling but injured to the point where his resistance didn’t mean much) into the TARDIS to take care of it, that other possibility was fading away like morning mist and his borrowed loss with it.
Here, the Master is alive, and breathing, and bleeding. He’s snapping at the Doctor like a wounded animal, teeth and all, until the Doctor makes him sit and bow over a table. The Master’s knuckles are white as bone as he grips his hands together. The Doctor touches his bare shoulder, feeling the heat of his life through the latex gloves he’d hastily put on, the slickness of blood coating his fingers. The Master flinches, once from his touch and a second time when the movement jars the bullet trapped between muscle and bone.
“If you’re going to torture me, hurry up and get started,” he says, though the Doctor can hear his gritted teeth.
He hovers his hand over the wound for a moment. Pressing down would mean agony. If the bullet had splintered after impact, it would drive each shard of it deeper.
No one would deserve it more after the last year.
The Master makes another noise, a sharp breath sucked in through his teeth. It rattles through his body. He’s sweating, a sheen across the back of his neck and soaking his hair.
The Doctor holds him steady.
“I’m going to take it out,” he tells the Master. It’s practically instinct at this point to reach out telepathically to calm him down. Even species who don’t have a lick of telepathic ability can still receive a signal or two, even unaware. The Master, by contrast, is very aware of what the Doctor’s doing, and he’s the first one to fight being reassured. “I’m going to help you,” the Doctor persists, just as stubbornly.
He places a hand on the back of the Master’s neck. It slips until he tightens his grip.
“Stay,” the Doctor orders.
For once, the Master listens. He does it with teeth bared and every muscle in his body tensed, but he listens.
The Doctor examines the torn hole in his shoulder. Until he regenerates, if he regenerates, it will scar and ache. Gingerly, the Doctor picks up a sterile pair of tweezers and sets to work removing caved-in flesh and shards of the bullet. The Master twitches under him each time he feels something get dragged out of him, and the Doctor suppresses the urge to tell him that he’s safe now.

Maybe 6 for Varré? Love seeing how people perceive this guy.
6) Psychological headcanons: I think part of the reason why Varré become such a fervent devotee to Mohg, though he was kidnapped and brought into service forcibly, was the promise of “love…” every time he talks about the Mohgwyn dynasty to the player, he mentions love — it’s definitely something Mohg himself has made central to his dynasty, since he grew up unloved and unwanted. Perhaps Varré, as a war surgeon turned mercy-killer, grew so alone and detached in his work that he craved love and recognition and purpose from anyone — even the blood cultist who kidnapped him?

I know it's just the Terminal Crocodile Brainworms speaking but like
We know both Kuma and Iva-chan would become members of the Revolutionary Army 16 years after the two meet at God's Valley
And like. I can't help but to wonder if Kuma's flashback is going to tie to the backstory of the Revolutionary Army and how he joined the cause, especially since we are going to learn about Iva-chan's backstory at the same time backstory (and Bonney's??? Mom??? I'm assuming???)
And while I don't think we're going to learn much about Dragon through this backstory because. IDK I feel like Oda would save that for later, right now doesn't feel like The Time To Reveal Dragon's Backstory. Not to mention, if this backstory is meant to be About Kuma first and foremost, then adding Dragon into this mix would just distract from Kuma and Bonney's relationship, the current heart of the story (also is why I want to believe Ginny is Bonney's mom, since that would also tie to the heart of the story)
But I can't help but to wonder... if Crocodile was a member of the Revolutionary Army for a while, then might we see him even just briefly at some point during this flashback? Maybe? Perhaps? Even for just a panel or two? Please? Pretty please? 👉👈
