More Coastwings stuff!

I have more silly stuff because I love them and I may or may not be hyperfixated okay. Anyway on to the sillies! :3

Origin story

Coastwings originated from a group of Seawings merchants intermixing with an Icewing hunting village. As time progressed the village ended up gaining more and more Seawings Icewing hybrids until eventually the entire village became Coastwings. The Coastwings fled the ice kingdom in fear of prosecution due to being hybrids. Eventually they were forgotten about and isolated until after the war of Sandwing succession.

The islands that they ran away to and made their home is somewhere kind of close to the Nightwing volcano Island. But the nightwings were so focused on trying to live on the island and do whatever they were doing; that they didn't notice the Coastwings. Also the Coastwings associated the island with death (because you know volcano) so they didn't go near it.

Abilities

Create powerful waves with their tails

Able to see in the dark

Shoot ice cold water out of their mouth at a high speed

They're basically have the ability to pressure wash their enemies. Normally this wouldn't deal a lot of damage, but in the right spots it can be severely damaging. As for seeing in the dark this is something they inherited from their Seawing ancestry. And the creating a powerful wave with their tails is kind of a given based on the fact that a tail fluke rapidly hitting a bunch of water is going to cause a very big splash, especially because there's more surface area on the tail fluke then on a Seawing tail which does not have a tail fluke.

Colors

Like real orcas they can be shades of dark brown and have more cream colored light patches. Unlike real orcas they can also be shades of blue or purple. Their color doesn't change the pattern on them however, there will almost always be a darker main body and lighter patches. Occasionally they can be born with fully dark or fully light colors though it is very rare.

Some cool facts about their society

Instead of the king automatically being the Queen's mate. The queen chooses the king, and typically it's a male but it doesn't always have to be.

They're a matriarchal society like orcas are in the wild. The family structure is similar to wild orca pods with slight differences. These being that the mates of female Coastwings will move in to the females pod, and the grown sons are at the bottom of the pod hierarchy.

Each pod has a name in front of it that's kind of like a last name. Some examples would be Pearl pod, River pod, Lapis pod etc. The names of the pods will always relate to something water themed or shades of the colors they can be.

Coastwings are named after cold weather plant / animals, things associated with the Arctic, or things associated with the ocean / sea.

They are very social and it is very rare to see a Coastwings by themselves. They often spend most of their time with their pod, oftentimes the entire family will work the same job because they rarely separate.

I'm currently working on a map of the archipelago they live on, their history and a more or less comprehensive royal family tree. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer! And also here some bonus art that I drew in class when I came up with the concept!

I’ve been feeling like my boyfriend has been super fucking condescending to me lately and he’s just unpleasant to talk to because he tries to ask me questions about how I can fix things, like he’s trying to guide me through a tutorial on how to feel better. Motherfucker if I wanted your help I would ASK. I want support and validation and love. Not to be interrogated about what I could do to not feel that way. We’re polyamorous and not each other’s life partners so I tolerate it because he does nice things to me and usually makes me feel good and supported, he just isn’t good at understanding my needs or emotions. Pisses me off because I literally could not be more clear. It’s obvious by my tone that I don’t like the way he responds to me when I tell him something that bothers me. Quit asking me a million questions and just fucking pretend to understand what I mean for a goddamn second. “Yeah babe I hear you.” That’s all I want. Not “well, what do you think would help with that?” You fucking listening to me without making me feel like you need to fix me would help goddamnit.

Anyways if anyone has memes about annoying boyfriends or condescending men, that would make me feel better so I feel like people relate.

Prank that went wrong

It was a normal day at the Night Raven College. Azul somehow conviced Jamil that if he went to the beach with him he will buy him new cooking utensels and Jamil, of course, agreed.

When they arrived at the beach they both set up two towels on the sand and a umbrella between them. Azul's towel had different sea animals and Jamil's was a basic one (it was from his bathroom).

Jamil, being the smartass he was, decided to prank Azul. He decided to push Azul in the water, but he didn't know that Azul had an octopus form and he transformed into it when he touched water.

Soo...Jamil quietly sneaked behind Azul when he was looking at the sea, for some reason, and Jamil pushed him in the water, feeling proud of himself. Azul quickly panicked and tried to keep his balance but it was useless, and he fell in the water. He quickly transformed into an octopus and Jamil nearly had a heart atrack. He was like: "AGHHH WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU, DUDE?!". Then Azul responded: "it's my octopus form.". "...oh ok.", responded Jamil.

I started to draw the humanization of Fear from Inside-out but... I think it's looking like a draw of a 3-years-old girl.

And you're probably wondering... Why do you draw a character like Fear? And I answer... 1: Because I want and I can.

2: I was watching the trailer for Inside Out 2 for the 1000th time, suddenly my attention focused on Ennui's hair -as always- and a memory came to me that I thought I had erased from the existence of my mind but it turns out that was not the case. It turns out that I started to analyze Ennui's appearance and noticed that her hair reminded me of the humanization that my 5-year-old self did to Fear to justify my infatuation (I was born and I will die being the strange, crazy, schizophrenic, wild and witch of my colony).

Obviously I don't have the drawing, I drew it when I was 5 years old. But I have the memory of what it was like and... I'm starting to believe that maybe the me from 8 years ago had certain reasons to have crushes as strange characters like Fear (And I still have them because when I returned to the fandom my crush turned towards that character LOL)

Me puse a dibujar la humanización de Temor de Intensamente pero creo que me esta saliendo del Ort-.

Y seguramente se preguntan... ¿Por que kk dibujas un personaje como Temor? Y yo respondo... 1: Porque si.

2:Estaba viendo por 1000ma vez el trailer de Intensamente 2, de repente pose mi atención a el pelazo de Ennui -como siempre- y me llego un recuerdo que pense haber borrado de la existencia de mi mente pero resulta que no fue asi. Resulta que me puse a analizar la aparencia de Ennui y note que su pelazo me recordó a la humanización que mi yo de 5 años le hizo a Fear para justificar mi enamoramiento (Naci y morire siendo la rara, loca, esquizofrenica, salvaje y bruja de mi colonia).

Obviamente no tengo el dibujo, lo dibuje cuando tenia 5 años no mamen. Pero tengo el recuerdo de como era y... Empiezo a creer que tal vez y a mi yo de hace 8 años atras tenia ciertas razones para tener crushes tan raros como Temor (Y todavía las tengo porque cuando regrese al fandom volvio mi crush hacia ese personaje kakdjwusjajsjdjjaja)
