So after New Wish I started watching some random episodes of the og show, starting with the ones featuring Cosmo and Wanda’s families, which got me thinking of how those relationships could have evolved up to the new show. So here are some headcanons about it (2k words below):
The Cosmas:
For Cosmo’s relationship with his brother, I like to think they kept in touch after Schnozmo’s introduction, writing letters and seeing each other every so often, mainly at a bar or restaurant because 1. Wanda doesn’t want that man anywhere near her home (whether it’s their actual house or their godkid’s place) and 2. Schnozmo can convince his brother to pay for the two of them so might as well get a free meal out of it.
On that note, while they get along and would say they have a good relationship, Cosmo would definitely be a bit more guarded around Schnozmo, at least as in he understands why Wanda doesn’t want to be around him and he refuses to lend him any money knowing it won’t be paid back.
And outside of Cosmo, like I said Wanda doesn’t exactly like the guy. She can stand being in the same room as him and has no issues with Cosmo having a relationship with him but she doesn’t trust her BIL one bit. Schnozmo can sense her hostility and keeps his distance as a result, if he can’t get anything from her he’s not going to bother get on her good side.
As for Peri, Schnozmo strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn’t really like kids (at least he had the decency to save the baby in his episode but they don’t exactly interact outside of it) so I could see him make no effort in bonding with his nephew and tell Cosmo not to bring him along when they hang out. And once Peri’s grown, his uncle is basically a stranger so why should he care for the guy, likewise Schnozmo writes him off like he does Wanda.
With Mama Cosma things are a little bit more complicated. Ok so first off I know it’s not actually canon but rather something many people parrot but I really like the idea of Cosmo being 10 000 years old during the og show. This means that, with the knowledge he and Wanda had been married for over 9 000 years (I think the exact number is 9 895 years?), Cosmo only spend about 1/100 of his life with his mom before running off. So despite being a mama’s boy, he isn’t afraid to go no contact with her for a long period of time.
(More on the relationship between Cosmo and his mom in this post. Yeah I’m having a blast with the angst potential of Cosmo being one of the most powerful fairies out there but being considered both a danger and “waste of potential” due to being “dumber” than the average fairy)
But yeah during the events of the og show the two of them reunite and spend a lot of time together, with Mama Cosma especially coming in handy when they need someone to babysit Poof (she dealt with one overpowered baby, she can do with another one).
However, she’s basically playing doll with her grandson so by the time he turns 5-6 (if not earlier) and starts having his own opinions and as a result starts saying “no” to things, Mama Cosma does not take it well and becomes verbally abusive towards the kid. She also tells him there’s no use ratting her out to his parents in a mix of “they wouldn’t believe you” and “you don’t want to make your dad angry and sad do you?”.
Eventually Timmy hears about it and wastes no time telling Cosmo and Wanda, and Cosmo is pissed. So they go to the Cosma’s house, Cosmo tells his mom off because you know she wouldn’t listen to Wanda, some nasty things are said and Cosmo decides to cut contact with her again, this time more openly and making it clear it’s permanent and she better not try anything or she’ll regret it, especially since she knows how powerful her son is.
Also once they get back home Cosmo would profusely apologize to Wanda about never standing up for her. Because I like to think that Cosmo had always been pretty unhappy with how his mom acted towards his wife but chalked it up to Mama Cosma not having seen him in a long time and being a bit possessive as a result, hoping she would calm down with time and turning a blind eye when she didn’t. Wanda wouldn’t be too happy it took their son being hurt for Cosmo to do anything, but at least they’re finally done dealing with Mama Cosma.
So yeah after that they don’t have any contact. Maybe she’d try meeting them at some point only to be told off again (it’d be funny if she showed up like “I gave you some time to cool off son now about me getting back into your life” but she does it 20 years later because time just works differently when you’re immortal).
I could also see the possibility that, when Peri is well into his job and out of the house, Wanda would give Cosmo permission to have a relationship with Mama Cosma again if he wishes too, since I could see him miss her a bit, though I’m not sure Cosmo would take the risk. If he does, it would be with hard boundaries like Mama Cosma being forbidden from having any interaction with Wanda and Peri, never meeting at the Fairywinkle-Cosma house and if Mama Cosma makes a single comment about Wanda or Peri she’s out the door.
So yeah a complicated toxic relationship that would end with no contact but might open up at some point. Maybe. Probably not for a few millennia at least.
And if I need to say a word about Jorgen since he and Cosmo are cousins, I don’t see them discovering their ancestry as changing anything about their dynamic. Jorgen is still Cosmo’s boss and acts like it, same with Wanda. The fact those two often get in trouble for their kids’ wishes along with Cosmo being Cosmo doesn’t help in Jorgen keeping it solely professional between them.
As for Peri, while Jorgen does seem to have a bit of a soft spot for him (Peri flinching every single time Dev yells at him shows he’s a bit of a coward yet he shields his parents against Jorgen in “Lost in Fairy World” + Jorgen calling him “Peri-weri”), I could see it as having more to do with Peri being the youngest fairy rather than a family connection. Tbh in general I see Peri as being babied by most people who knew him as a kid, to his dismay (this is also my explanation as to why he changed his name, he wants people to stop immediately identify him as the last baby born).
Also I can’t speak about the Tooth Fairy because I barely remember anything about her personality in the og show and New Wish doesn’t exactly put her in the best light, so I’m going to say she’s like Jorgen on that front, not seeing the Fairywinkle-Cosma as family members and being nicer to Peri (her offering him a job) because she knew him as a baby.
The Fairywinkles:
For Blonda, I see her and Wanda as still having a tense relationship but they can handle being in the same room and do small talk. I also like to think that they’re jealous of each other, with Wanda feeling insecure when seeing her sister’s success while Blonda is envious of her twin’s simpler life (“simpler” as in “doesn’t have to deal with crazy fans and constant pressure to stay relevant”). So yeah they don’t exactly get along great but they can handle family reunions. Also if they talk things out there could be potential for a reconciliation.
As for how she feels about Wanda’s family, I could see Blonda be neutral towards Cosmo. She doesn’t mind interacting with him and might even find him funny, but she’s not too close to him either and doesn’t understand what Wanda sees in him.
In return, Cosmo’s chill with her. She doesn’t openly insult him so he takes it as her being nice and friendly with him (yeah when every single fairy you meet either mocks you or is terrified of you, the bar gets very low). That being said he’d probably feel uncomfortable whenever she insults Wanda and as a result doesn’t make any attempt to interact with her outside of family reunions. He also lets Wanda call the shots on whether or not they should interact with Blonda, understanding it’s complicated between the two and not wanting to pressure Wanda into a relationship she might not want.
For Peri, I could see Blonda babysit him a few times when he was a toddler if only because he was a celebrity back then and she could get some clout out of it. Although if you take the idea of her being envious of Wanda’s simpler life, I could also see Blonda babysit her nephew even after he stopped being popular because she enjoyed feeling like a regular fairy from time to time.
(the way I see it Poof was popular because his birth gave fairies hope that the baby ban was going to be lifted; but when it became clear the Fairy Council had no desire to change their rules, the hype died down and even turned into resentment towards the Fairywinkle-Cosma trio, one of the reasons why Cosmo and Wanda “moved out” of Fairy World once Peri was an adult)
As for how Peri feels about her, I could see him enjoy hanging out with her as a kid and especially as a teen (not sure how to explain it but Blonda strikes me as someone who could get along well with kids, like she’s the cool aunt who also spoils you rotten). But also Blonda doesn’t really have much of a filter when it comes to insulting Wanda so as he grows up and hears more and more of her comments, Peri would get defensive of his mom and spend less time with his aunt.
Tbh he likely already defended his mom as a kid but back then Blonda would just deflect in a “I’m just joking” kind of way and move on to something else, with Peri being too young to know how to properly react. But as a teen, he better understands that he can just leave the room and talk to her less.
And between him not wanting to see her much and Wanda having a bad relationship with her, the last time Blonda saw her nephew before a potential meeting during New Wish would be back when he was like 16-17 (so a good 5-6 years).
Finally for Big Daddy, we see in the og show that Wanda has a good relationship with him for the most part and often writes him letters (he even knew about Timmy). That being said she’s also intimidated by him and is afraid to stand up to him, causing her to lie about Timmy’s personality and hide her marriage.
So my idea for him is pretty similar to Cosmo and his brother. Wanda has a relationship with her father but she’s the one visiting him, mainly because he lives a dangerous life and she doesn’t want to put her family at risk. Also Big Daddy doesn’t like Cosmo so there’s no point in him visiting the guy, and since Cosmo’s terrified of his FIL he’d be more than happy to keep it that way. Maybe sometimes for a family dinner Cosmo’s invited, which is also when he’d interact with Blonda, but Big Daddy would mostly ignore him in those instances.
For Peri tho, since Big Daddy seems like a family man I could definitely see him want to have a relationship with his grandson, and after a while protesting Wanda eventually caves in (since again she struggles with saying no to him). She tries to still keep Peri away for his safety, like not having him every time she visits or keeping the visits short, but yeah Big Daddy would know his grandson and be attached to him.
Once he’s an adult Peri would definitely keep contact with his grandpa, especially since at that point he’d have the maturity to understand the risk (basically staying in contact with Big Daddy would be an informed decision and his own choice).

I like to imagine that when Timmy first called Wanda mom, it'd been a heat of the moment thing. Like he's super excited about something, whether it's a good grade or a project he's been working on. He's practically vibrating, and instead of going to his actual mom he goes to tell Wanda about it. And of course she listens, smiling softly at his enthusiasm and how contagious it is. And she praises him, proud that he's succeeded at something he's been working hard on. And Timmy he just beams his buck toothed smile and without even thinking says-
"Thanks mom!"
As soon as the words leave his mouth Wanda just freezes, stunned. Pink eyes wide and her heart racing and squeezed so tight with so many emotions. And Timmy bless him, he's oblivious seemingly not realizing what he'd said. But Wanda does, and she doesn't bring it up. Because it's taken Timmy time to open up like that and she doesn't want to ruin his moment by bringing it up. But God it haunts her in the best way.
After that Wanda's constantly thinking about it. Timmy's voice echoing over and over again, calling her mom. Before she can stop herself she's imagining Timmy calling her that all the time. Of her godson calling Cosmo dad, of the three of them being like that instead of the professional relationship they're supposed to have. And Wanda she knows she's not supposed to get attached but she can't help it, with every new thing she learns about Timmy Turner, the more she grows fond of him. Her heart develops that parental warmth that continues to grow stronger and fiercer with each moment. She looks at this boy and thinks about how wonderful he is and how kind he is beneath his usual indifference. And Wanda she'll look at Cosmo and see that same love and affection she feels for Timmy written all over his face. Knowing that just like her, her husband is just as taken with this mischievous little boy as well. But she desperately tries to keep her feelings to herself, because she knows that she and Cosmo can't stay with Timmy forever. Until one day she's forced to accept that she and Cosmo love this child to bits and pieces.
They're at Fairy World when it clicks. She's talking to Blonda about her newest charge. Cosmo's with her, adding things here and there that she's missed about Timmy. And suddenly without thinking about it Wanda says-
"Timmy's a good son, Cosmo and I are incredibly lucky to have him."
And it's suddenly very quiet. Cosmo goes still next to her, green eyes watching her with a stunned and understanding look as it's officially confirmed that she's in the same boat as him. Blonda just stares at Wanda baffled. And Wanda she's just.....unable to really care about what she said and how strange it is to say because it's the truth. She loves Timmy like he's her own son and she's tired of trying to act like she doesn't. And later when her and Cosmo are back at home in their fishbowl castle they talk. And come to accept that they adore this boy more than they should and they don't care. Because he's their brave, sweet son and not even the Fairy Council could change it.

I think @cubbihue and @katescribblesabit are some of my favourite fairy Timmy aus out there atm (heck giving ideas to my own fairy Timmy au (although mine I’m adding in more to do with Jimmy Tommy power hour and nicktoons unite games (I use to love watching YouTubes of those games like crazy heck I managed to get the 1st to to play with my siblings but it was 2nd hand glitch copy of the first in the series of games that series did so it would take forever to load at times but was fun game)
If they ever bring those games to the switch I’d play them for sure; thanks to the jimmy Timmy power hour series doing so well the games were a great hit and the games were so popular that quite a few were created and more characters would get added in the more popular the games got the last in the series was the one we’re Invader zim & dib or was it globs of doom one? Not sure ended up watching YouTubers do those (was more watching for the cut scenes of those games at the time)
Tumblr media
Anywho back to my own fairy Timmy Au I could see Wanda’s sister Blonda coming over to patch up her relationship with Wanda and being a fun aunt to Peri/poof and Timmy once Timmy gets fairy adopted
But schnozmo not sure how good of a uncle he’ll be being he’s a bit of a conman
(Timmy wouldn’t forget how he tried to trick Cosmo out of a lot of things the last time they met aaannnddd I know Jimmy and the nicktoons gang wouldn’t trust him too much either
I feel like now that Timmy is a fairy would hang out at Jimmy’s a lot when not in fairyworld being as Timmy as a fairy wouldn’t see anything from his old life in the human realm part of his own universe but being as the nicktoons unite characters are all from different universes Timmy can still hang out with them;; although Jimmy has met the people in Timmy’s old human life and to be honest they didn’t appreciate Timmy when they had him so they kinda deserve to suffer a little now that they’ve lost him (Timmy’s birth parents most of all) because before he found out Timmy was turned into a fairy he did get to see how ignorant Timmy’s friends AJ & Chester seem to be to the neglect & abuse Timmy was going through from his parents/ babysitter and cocker but just seem to ignore it heck didn’t even try to help out when Timmy was getting bullied on top of that; think the only one Jimmy would feel mostly sorry for is maybe Toothie (although he had to admit her love of Timmy kinda bothered on creepy at times) it was only when Timmy was truly gone from their lives do any of them realise what they’ve lost so he’s not gonna let anyone from Timmy’s old life know what happened to him for sure;; Jimmy doesn’t trust them anymore
Think it’s not until years later when poof becomes Peri and he and Timmy have grown up a bit themselves and Hazel and Dev show up does he even get curious about the humans in Timmy’s universe

Summary:
Peri loved the color of your lipstick and it looked better on him.
Tags: Fem!Actress!Reader/Peri
__
You love your lipstick color, you would always buy the same shade of lipstick that would make you look absolutely darling.
Since you were an actress, it enhanced your beauty-- more than you already are actually, and as an actress in Fairy World, you were on top of your game in being the best and working hard to be the best. In your opinion, the world needed a new and young actress on the big screen! Not that Blonda woman, she was ahead of her time.
Another good thing in your life?
Your boyfriend.
Since you started dating Peri, he had been your biggest supporter and your number one fan. When he had the time he would show up for your shows on musical Broadways, and would congratulate you for your success with bunches of roses and affection.
Another favorite thing you love about your lipstick? Was the way it looked on Peri.
When he came into your dressing room to bring you roses, you had your adorable boyfriend against the wall, lips planted on his. Hands buried in his hair and his was wrapped around your waist.
By the time you were done with him, with one last kiss, he was covered in your lipstick stains. Your lipstick stains were smudged on his lips, there were stains on his neck, and some parts of his face and one was on his collar. He loved it too and begged for it.
His violet eyes had heart pupils in them and flushed cheeks, His smile is all droopy as he looks at you in adoration as his wings flutter happily.
You giggled at his love sick expression. "Thanks for the flowers, darling." you purred sweetly, moving away to pick up the fallen bouquet.
"You're welcome, love…" Peri sighed lovingly, his half-lidded gaze refusing to leave you. "You look beautiful by the way."
"Always am." you said confidently, smirking at him. "Thank you for coming to my show, you're the best boyfriend ever."
You couldn't resist walking over to give your adorable boyfriend another lingering kiss. Something he eagerly returned.
"I have to go, love you." Peri murmured.
"I love you too, silly fairy."
You give a flirty wave and he was gone with a poof.
You chuckled as you sit back at the mirror to adjust your make up, humming to yourself.
______
[Peri with a little of Dev POV]
Peri was over the moon after he left you, your kisses and soft caresses felt like heaven. He was dazed and was so in love with you, he wished he had more time to spend with you like he used to. The pretty shade of lipstick you wore was too tantalizing for him NOT to kiss you, and you happily covered him in your kisses. Now he wore your lipstick stains as a reminder from earlier and he loved when you did it. In a way it showed he was yours.
As Peri appeared in Dev's house again in his bedroom, he was still riding that high of being on cloud nine, and all he could think about was his lovely girlfriend. Floating in the air, Peri was laid on his stomach kicking his feet and chin in his propped up hands.
To Dev, when Peri appeared like this he gives the goofy looking Peri a bewildered look-- if not a little, weirded out, by what he was doing. Were… those lipstick stains?
This loser actually had a girlfriend?
"Ugh, gross you have a girlfriend?" Dev said, rudely snapping Peri out of his day dreaming. "You're not going to wash that stuff off either?"
Peri flushed red from embarrassment at that. He floats straight up and crosses his arms annoyed. "Yes, I have a wonderful girlfriend who loves me and… I'll do it later." Peri said.
Dev sits up on his bed to give Peri a look through his shades "Why not now?"
Because Peri didn't want to. Not until another hour at least.
"You'll understand when you get older, kid." Peri said, sighing.
Dev rolled his eyes, adults are so weird…. Adult Fairy?
Whatever.

Season 2 Juan Hopes
Tumblr media
I wanna see him be a fairy god parent to a kid who has self esteem issues
Because Juan’s who arc is self love and being confident in himself
So maybe he has a god kid who’s like chubby, not a traditional cute kid, and just over all self conscious so he helps the kid have self love and learn that social beauty standards are shit and they are a LITERAL KID so most issues are out grown or changed
It would build off of his whole “do you think I’m sexy” trope and make it into something that’s like. Good and useful and actually have depth
Latin lover tropes are stupid iswis
I want my Juan to have a redemption arc of sorts. Maybe he and Blonda hooked up or Juan has a proper partner now ((because Jesus it better not be Cupid because they fucked his shit up
Just lemme have justice for Juan! (Also I’m so curious what his human form would look like, given his whole thing is muscles)
That’s my Ted talk

Legacy AU Tammy and Tommy!
Tumblr media
First | Prev | Next
More info under the cut
Name(s):Tamara "Tammy" Tricia and Thomas "Tommy" Tobias Turner(I kid you not that's what the wiki says)
Age:10
Godparent(s):Blonda and Schnozmo(assigned),Peri(Tommy,Temporary sub for Schnozmo)
Tommy and Tammy are Fraternal Twins, with Tammy taking more of their father's genetics. Due to their father and mother's form of work, They have a babysitter often, which is typically a robot vicky, which made them eligible for fairy godparents. Though, once they moved to Dimmadelphia, their grandparents babysat for them. They were quite shocked to find out their dad had godparents when he was a kid.
Tommy is on-off friends with Hazel, a lot like Dev, and at first Called her Hazard, because he heard dev call her that on the first day and seriously thought that was her name, and that Hazel was a nickname.Hazel quickly corrected him. Him and Dev are rivals and do not get along. He hates that his sister is friends with him.Tommy is more reserved and sarcastic than his overachieving sister.
When it comes to being a godkid, Tommy is very much like his father. He can find loopholes in a lot of things. Him and his dad even made a fame out of finding loopholes in the rules. He also could potentially cause massive destruction to fairy world if he wanted to. He has a big imagination.
Tammy, on the other hand, is much different, more akin to Chloe in personality. She wants good for the world in any possible way and is set to change anyone she thinks she can. This is mostly why she talks to dev whether he likes It or not
She loves all things nerdy, and if allowed to fangirl, she will fangirl. Despite never having a godkid before, Blonda said that she would definitely remain in the top 3.

WESTLEY AND TALON: IN SHORT
Brief bios about Jorgen's ward and Anti-Cosmo's original heir
WESTLEY TELFORD PERIWINKLE
Westley is an OC meant to be both the model advertising fancy candles in "The Big Fairy Share Scare" and the fairy baby Jorgen holds during his slideshow presentation in "Fairly Odd Baby"
Occupation: Professional teen model; child actor
Birthday: 2nd Thursday of September, Summer of the Slippery Cougar (Breath)
Height: 3′6″ (Average for a fae)
Age During Frozen Timestream: 89,999 (Mentally around 12)
Age As of Devil’s Backbone: 253,259 (Mentally 22)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
MBTI: ISTJ
Love Language: Physical touch
Handedness: Left dominant
Hometown: Faeheim - Fairy World’s capital city, located near the Big Wand
Core: Broken ram's horn
Core Color: Blue (Layer 1 Blue; Layer 2 Purple)
Crown Lift: High
Wand Type: Ipewood
Fagiggly Color: Lavender
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Cat
Bio: Westley was the *original* first fairy baby born thousands of years after the fairy baby ban, and is the reason Poof isn't called "the youngest fairy since Cosmo" or "the youngest in hundreds of thousands of years."
Westley was taken in by Jorgen and Binky, who prevented his biological parents from visiting him more than once every other millennium... the same fate that would have befallen Poof if Cosmo and Wanda hadn’t been so quick on the draw. He still blames his parents for not forming a connection with him in his youth and nowadays wants nothing to do with them whatsoever, even taking a new surname - Periwinkle - as a way of cutting ties. They didn't even fight for him? They must be the worst.
Like Poof, Westley has been treated like a celebrity his whole life simply for being the only young member of his subspecies during a time fairy children were banned. His popularity gave him a leg up in school. He's considered a child star in Fairywood.
Westley considers Blonda a mother figure, though neither of them would openly admit that. She taught him how to dye his hair and has guided him through much of his life. He still has Binky's rebellious spirit alongside Jorgen's high emotions and obsession with rules, but beneath his snappy exterior (and disdain for a never-ending string of charity events), Westley is an insecure kid raised by a pair who treated him more like a novelty than a family member. He's searching for the peace and closure to questions about his past and parents that haunt him every day.
Like Cosmo and many others in the common fairy subspecies born around Cosmo's time, Westley has a mutation that renders him unable to use magic unless he drinks nursing milk. Cosmo took the route of carrying milk in a bottle-shaped thermos while Westley took the route of living with limited magic.
Despite Westley's haughty, bitter persona, Poof has met him a few times and idolizes him as a big brother figure- He even convinced Foop to name their egg baby after him. Westley may be tense about sharing his spotlight with the new "first fairy baby" on the block, but he has nothing but nice things to say about his little cousin.
In City Lights AU, Poof even changed his name to Periwinkle because of Westley... but that's a whole story in itself.
Many rumors speculate that Blonda is in fact Westley's mom, seeing as Westley has the same cherry almond scent to his pheromones. Blonda always laughs this off - as she does with every celebrity child she's accused of being secretly related to - but who knows what she's hiding?
He made his first onscreen appearance during flashbacks in Prompt 70 - "Repeat" and appeared in modern times during Prompt 125 - "I Just Live Here" when he and Blonda arrived at the Fairywinkle household; Poof slept in Westley's room over spring break.
He's been namedropped in other stories like "Told You So." Additional appearances include "Nonbeliever," Frayed Knots, and Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies.

Occupation: Temple acolyte, part-time student; former heir to the High Count seat
Birthday: February 13th, Winter of the Slippery Cougar (Breath)
Height: 3′4″ (Average for a fae)

Secondary Hometown: Inkblot City - Pixie World’s bustling capital city; contains the buildings seen in show canon
Core: Broken ram's horn
Core Color: Blue (Layer 1 Yellow; Layer 2 Purple)
Crown Lift: Average
Wand Type: Clay
Fagiggly Color: Denim blue
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Hound
Bio: While his counterpart was raised by Jorgen and Binky, Talon was raised by Anti-Cosmo and H.P.... which went exactly as well as you'd expect. Both have their claws sunk into him and neither is willing to relinquish ties.
Talon compromises as best as he can with their wants in an attempt to keep Anti-Fairy/Pixie relations stable. He spends most of his time in Pixie World, ringing the bells in the Water Temple and bullying pixie children. Anti-Cosmo makes a special effort to visit him (and usually insists that H.P. keep away when he does because the three don’t make a good team).
Talon is loud, full of ideas, and always getting into trouble. He isn't high energy, but he's sly, snooty, and doesn't take being pushed around. He doesn’t like being touched, especially hugged, and especially not picked up. He got his name because of his tendency to scratch anyone who came near him as a child. Talon is a total braggart and never hesitates to fetch one of his dads” if he thinks he can get someone in trouble; he has no shame about rubbing their status in your face.
Beyond that, he's a long-distance student of the Anti-Fairy Academy, where education consists mostly of personal research and presentations. He was raised alongside H.P.'s daughter, Commelina, and is a friend to Gary and Betty. He and Gary work on bikes together in their spare time.
He's also a hypochondriac, which is odd for an Anti-Fairy, yet here we are.
Talon has appeared in several stories, ranging from Pink and Gray (where he attends Camp Wannahurtastranger with Gary and Betty) to "Health Bars" (where he attends a funeral alongside his dads) and "No Absolutes" (where he fell asleep at the counter while working on homework, leaving Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda to put him to bed).
He briefly appears in Origin of the Pixies and is a notable character in the latter half of Frayed Knots: a story which revolves around Anti-Cosmo's quest to have a child, and Talon is the result of his shady experiments.
He also exists in Reedfilter Rules AU as Anti-Cosmo's illegitimate son, who is raised by Thirty-Seven (H.P.) in Pixie World. Wherever you go in the Riddleverse, Talon Anti-Lunifly will be there...

A gross underlying theme of shows Butch has leeway in like fop, dp, and tp (haven't seen biab, can't speak for it) is that females and femininity is repulsive [until the males need a caretaker]. Even the characters on the male protagonists' side who are competent, smart and intriguing women who can physically whoop ass without even trying are just tools for the male characters to use who also get their femininity used against them.
The mere act of liking and engaging in stereotypically feminine things is seen as a moral failing. Paulina, Star, Valerie, Trixie Tang, and Veronica are all feminine girls who have interests in fashion and cheerleading and they're portrayed as vapid and shallow for it despite the fact that fashion *is* a legitimate hobby as well as a skill given that how one presents themselves is how the rest of the world sees them. And cheerleading is something that takes a lot of skill, training, and flexibility to pull off.
Hell, not to get too off topic but I would not be surprised if one of the reasons why Valerie was so competent was because cheerleading translated well to a ghost hunter's skillset.
Yet at the same time, girls and women who either oppose femininity or seem uninterested in it like Maddie, Alicia, Sam, Wanda, Kitty Katswell are punished for being women and or not being feminine *enough*
Maddie? When she's not cleaning up after Jack's messes, she has to deal with Vlad's bullshit, and as much as I love Vlad as a character I can admit to myself that Maddie would 100% be justified in killing him.
Alicia? Although I can admire a butch woodswoman doing her thing on her own I'm also painfully aware of the surrounding contexts of the episode she was introduced in and that her fate is a "bad end for Maddie should she divorce Jack"
Sam? Her mother Pamela is so overbearing about forcing femininity on her that she has to run away from her chasing her down with a pink frilly dress, her uniqueness is often played as a joke as her protests are seen as silly and the vegan food she eats is either ridiculous unappetizing or both, in the episode where Danny gets his logo she has to contort herself to feminine standards against her will to get her wished un-friends to notice her.
Wanda? referred to as a 'nag' to the point where in some episodes, her dialogue is literally 'nag nag nag', Cosmo disregards her for more feminine characters like her twin sister Blonda, and the tooth fairy, and there are many moments when she has to be the voice of reason and she is also made into a slapstick target.
Kitty Katswell has a similar problem in that as the competent, serious agent who worked where she was in contrast to Dudley's silly, incompetent agent who got here because he was 'bred to be the perfect agent' is the butt of the slapstick jokes because she's tied to Dudley.
If I rewatched these shows and watched his others, saw some of Hartman's interviews, and had more time to do so I could probably go into a whole essay about him and his disgusting views on women and how those views bleed into his work because while there is some liability in that some things are very much products of their time, it doesn't help when the person who made them doesn't grow and change for the better.
Lets talk about how Danny Phantom loves to push the idea of ¨these two characters must be together because destiny said so¨ and the implications of it!
Okay, for starters there is quite a lot of fans that agree how Danny and Sam gets forced into the show, specially in Season 3. They don't have much development in their relationship around the show because it was a 2000's Butch Hartman show and things have to keep the *status quo*
We know that Marmel wanted for more Valerie and Danny development but he couldn't for continuity issues and probably because Hartman wasn't fond of the ship. It took around 20 episodes for Valerie to have another episode about her since breaking up with Danny in ¨Flirting With Disaster¨.
I say that it makes a lot of sense of why Valerie and Danny's relationship didn't last long in this context because Danny was still keeping secrets from Valerie and still involved a lot of lying- not exactly the best condition to be dating with someone. So the best solution is for Valerie to learn who Danny is, and then after things get better, they probably can start getting into dating again, right?
Well, sorry, you can't see any of that because this happens in the very last episode of the series, we don't get to see how Valerie reacts to it and it doesn't matter because now Sam x Danny is canon!
Lets talk about that ring:
Tumblr media
What bothers me is how, while this episode is about Danny being into Valerie and dating her, the ring that Jack gives to Danny has the name ¨Sam¨ on it. It is like the universe in show is screaming at Danny and the audience ¨See these two are the endgame! Haven't you realized it yet? Well, we are leaving you 100% clear with this¨.
Sarcastic Chorus made a video talking about the show keeps hammering you again and again that Danny and Sam are ¨meant to be together¨ by having characters commenting how everyone can see that except Danny and Sam, who it isn't clear why they don't tell what they feel to each other. He talks about how it gets really frustrating because nothing is exactly happening, people are just waiting for something to happen.
Let's move to ¨Double Cross my Heart¨ we have Gregor/Elliot and Sam falling in love with each other. They seem to share a lot in common, being into similar things. Danny keeps thinking that Elliot is an spy from the GIW and he is after him. I could get into the implications of Danny stalking Sam in this episode, but the one thing i want to focus on is that by the end of the episode it does get revealed that Elliot had been faking to share similar interests to Sam and was lying to her about who he really was. Was it because he was a spy from GIW? Nope! It was because he was tricking her into falling in love with him.
What frustrates me about this is the implications this episode gives: ¨If anybody else that likes Sam that isn't Danny, then that means that they are faking it! Danny is the only one who can love Sam and everybody else is trying to trick her¨. It is such a bad message and it sucks a lot for Sam to find someone that is a lot like her and then the writing go ¨sorry, they are a faker¨.
At least for Danny and Valerie made sense because it wasn't intended to work in that context, in ¨Double Cross my Heart¨ it just does dirty to Sam by spitting back in her face any chance of liking someone else that isn't Danny.
And episode that leaves a similar bad taste in mouth to me is Masters of All Time.
I have talked about this before, that in the alternative timeline Vlad and Maddie end up getting married together. Because they didn't want the kids in the audience to think about the implications about how Vlad might have been happier and not turned out evil from the proto lab accident, they had to make human! Vlad go against most of his previous established characterization of his regular self (like not allowing Maddie to use ghost gadgets for some reason) and be an abusive caricature of himself.
It couldn't be that maybe Vlad and Maddie didn't work together well, they have to leave obvious that no, Vlad is the terrible option and that Maddie and Jack are meant to be together. So much so that it said by the characters in the episode!
Tumblr media
See, the writers made human! Vlad a piece of shit to leave clear that Maddie can only marry Jack. Because destiny told it so! It isn't like Jack and Maddie are their own people and they can choose whoever they want.
Yeah, Jack and Maddie have to get back together so Danny and Jazz don't become non-existent, but it find it so dumb that they made human! Vlad a weird ass copy of Disney Gaston instead of just writing it in a way that maybe these two clash being a couple. It could be that Maddie finds Vlad nice but Vlad is too busy always working or he isn't as fun as Jack was. Then Maddie realizes that she wants to be with Jack instead.
While having some fun elements, Masters of All Time is an episode that gets dumber and with more weird implications the more you think about it. And telling us that Jack and Maddie have to be together not matter what is one of the reasons.
I just dislike how weird this series is about how ¨destiny told these two characters have to be together¨ and not treating the characters as something they choose to do. It is also weird how this seems to apply to the female characters, in how Sam and Maddie, the moment they like someone else that isn't Danny nor Jack, then it turns out that person has to be abusive or be faking it. Itis like the show says they ¨belong¨ to Jack and Danny and they can't be with anyone else because then it would be bad. It is as a whole pretty frustrating

Some info on how I view Cosmo and Wanda’s family lives, more specifically how they grew up and how the two of them meeting went, because again I’m obsessed with Cosmo being so powerful which brought some ideas for his upbringing and meeting with Wanda, which also brought some ideas for Wanda, and I didn’t want to clutter my baby fairies ban and magic abilities posts with it. So here is it now (6.5k words below):
TRIGGER WARNING: Talks of a character basically having depression for the Cosmo section with one sentence implying suicide idealization.
I’m going to start with Wanda since it’s much shorter.
First off, about her mom’s whereabouts, considering her dad is a mafia boss I’m going to go with her having been killed by one of Big Daddy’s enemies, likely when the girls were teenagers since Wanda complains about how their mom always liked Blonda more in “Blondas Have More Fun!” meaning they grew up with her, but at the same time I like the idea of her dying when her daughters are still pretty young (yeah very happy way to start a post, it gets worse in the Cosmo section).
Speaking of the mom liking Blonda more, I could see a situation of Big Daddy being closer to Wanda while his wife is closer to Blonda, though I don’t know if it’s just a question of the girls being more similar to the respective parent thus causing this closeness or if it’s one parent favoring a twin and the other parent deciding to favor the other one to “compensate”. And if it’s the second case, not sure which parent started it.
On that note I could see Wanda working for her father’s company before deciding to become a godparent, like for a while she didn’t know what to do with her life so she helped her dad. She didn’t do any mafia-related stuff tho, she was more of an employee/manager for his cleaning service. Big Daddy was supportive of her pursuing something she feels fits her more (fairies are immortal so it’s not like he needs to have a successor, granted there’s always the chance of him being assassinated).
Meanwhile Blonda doesn’t feel the same closeness to her father so she’d rather pursue her own goals, which I could see as related to their mom in some way. Like the mom probably wasn’t a star but might have been working within the show-business industry, and Blonda got an interest in acting from her and her career was launched through her mother’s connections. Oh and even if they’re not that close, Big Daddy is also supportive of Blonda’s dreams. Mafia or not, he loves his daughters.
More things that could be said about them, maybe after his wife’s passing Big Daddy became more protective of his daughters, thus leading to have some of his higher employees keep an eye on them during their late teens, which could explain Wanda being familiar with some of them in “Big Wanda”. At the same time though he might not want to involve his girls too much into his business so he might instead ask the guys to keep their distance in order to keep his daughters safe.
And speaking of men protecting women, I could see Big Daddy have a bit of a toxic view of what a man is supposed to be like, view that he gave to his daughters growing up hence why Wanda dated a macho guy like Juandissimo before realizing she just wasn’t as into him as she thought she would be.
Note that I don’t think Juandissimo was a toxic boyfriend or anything like that. Looking back at his episodes, he’s definitely very self-centered and dramatic which is probably why Wanda got tired of him, but he has a genuinely caring side (the whole thing with him going back to Remy in particular). He does need to get the goddamn hint post-breakup though. Just move on and go date Cupid my dude. He can match your dramatics.
Last thing about Juandissimo while I’m at it, in his debut episode he seems low-key scared of Cosmo during their first interaction (at least I don’t think he was acting), so I like to think that sometime after Cosmo and Wanda started dating, Juandissimo heard about it, challenged Cosmo to a duel or something, Cosmo at first didn’t want to bc he didn’t want to go to jail but Juandissimo was able to provoke him into it, Cosmo starts the duel holding back but eventually gets angry enough to let loose. Juandissimo has been afraid of him ever since, now fully aware of the raw power these noodle arms hold.
Giving one last headcanon for Wanda, since both her and Cosmo seem to know how to fight but I don’t particularly like the idea of fairy godparents undergoing military training during their studies; I’m more into Wanda mentioning “four years at the fairy academy” in “Abra-catastrophe”, meaning those are more “regular” studies. It’s especially funny when considering if you start at 18 you become a fully-fledged godparents at 22, which checks out with Peri if he aged at the same speed as humans.
(For those asking “Operation Birthday Takeback” has Cosmo mention Vicky hurting kids “since 2001” while one of the creators confirmed New Wish took place in 2024. Plus in “Abra-catastrophe” it’s been one year since Timmy had his fairies, and “Fairly Oddbaby” takes place three seasons later. So if Timmy got his fairies in 2001, Poof/Peri was born in 2002 meaning he’d be 22 in 2024, which would check out with him going to fairy academy for four years starting at 18, at least if that’s how the academy works. Though there’s also the possibility that 2001 is when Vicky first got hired by the Turners, meaning Timmy got his fairies in 2002 and Peri is actually 21, born in 2003.)
At the same time, we know Cosmo went to military school at some point which justifies his ability to fight. So for Wanda, I’m simply going with the idea of her father giving her some self-defense training, especially given his profession. Wouldn’t want to lose his daughters the same way he did his wife.
Not sure which would be the better fighter between Cosmo and Wanda though, since I could see Big Daddy take it pretty seriously (thinking of “Most Wanted Wish” and how good Wanda is at the competition; also funny to think about how her, Cosmo and Jorgen are the last three standing when again taking the idea of godparents not having mandatory military training, meaning those three were possibly the ones with the best self-defense training). Big Daddy could even teach her some backhanded/dirty tricks that would make her more unpredictable.
Meanwhile Cosmo is Cosmo and we know he struggles to focus sometimes, but at the same time he’d have gone through a lot more training in an environment made for it. Plus he’s op as hell. So I guess which one is stronger depends on the type of fight, more specifically on whether it relies on magic or wits.
Now moving onto the Cosmo stuff, and long story short since his birth things were a mess. From his destructive nature from birth, his terrible two, Anti-Cosmo’s birth and quick rise to power, all of which led to the baby ban. On top of that, as mentioned in my baby ban post I see Cosmo as the first op fairy in a very long time, meaning his strength was a complete surprise to everyone. And with how destructive his magic is, it wasn’t a good one.
All of this would be the main reason why Mama Cosma is so protective and overbearing. Between the destruction and the baby ban, she would constantly be criticized for giving birth to Cosmo (huge fan of T4T Coswan, which means the whole “male fairies carry the baby” isn’t actually true). Hell maybe the Fairy Council tried to take him away like Jorgen does to Poof in “Fairly Oddbaby”, which would make her even more protective.
The loss of her husband wouldn’t help either. Like I could definitely see their relationship as not being exactly healthy given the kind of person Mama Cosma is (imagine Papa Cosma as one of those parents who know their spouse is a piece of shit but they try to excuse this behavior, thus enabling it), but losing him would still be a shock, especially with two kids to raise, one of which is a walking apocalypse.
On that note the way I see it, when Papa Cosma was turned into a fly, his wife ended up more focused on getting the wand back than she was in making sure her husband was still in her sights. So by the time she got Cosmo under control, she had no idea where he was. And while there would definitely be a search party, and I’m not even sure if he’ll ever be considered dead or “just” missing, ultimately the man was never seen again.
But yeah all of this led Mama Cosma to become overprotective of Cosmo, which in turn led her to neglect Schnozmo who started acting out for attention, quickly becoming a thief. And since he still wasn’t getting anything from his mom, he kept doing it until it eventually led him onto the path to become a con artist.
Now I was wondering a bit about the age difference between the two brothers as I want them to grow under the same roof for the above-mentioned headcanon of Schnozmo being neglected, but also looking at the show Schnozmo doesn’t really have anything against Cosmo, so I could see him be mature enough to realize his mom’s the problem (granted the show takes place thousands of years later so they had more than enough time to talk things out). Also with fairies being immortal, who knows what the “usual” age difference between siblings is.
So ultimately I’m going with them being about 12-13 years apart, on top of adult fairies usually staying quite a while at their parents’ home since again they’re immortal. Like at minimum a fairy would spend the first 50 years of their life living with their parents, probably longer. Peri in New Wish is an exception due to growing up as the only child in a society of adults and feeling babied by everyone (Jorgen, who is literally his boss, calls him “Peri-Weri” in “Lost in Fairy World”, like his fucking boss is babying him). So he encouraged his parents to take their vacation soon after he became an adult and quickly got his own place as well, both in an attempt to prove himself as a responsible adult.
Going back on topic, the way I see it Cosmo and Schnozmo started off very shaky. First off due to their father’s death which I’m sure Schnozmo did not take well, and it probably took a long time for him to forgive his brother for it, that is if he ever forgave him (I could see him still hold that resentment, he just doesn’t voice it).
Then you have the usual “siblings mess with each other” shenanigans which he can’t really do since his brother doesn’t even need a wand to use his magic due to how powerful he is, so good luck messing with him. I could actually see some scenarios of older teen Schnozmo allowing Cosmo to come with him meet his friends (or Mama Cosma is like “take your brother with you I need a break!”) but only if he does cool stuff with his magic for them. It would probably usually not end well, tho not in an “almost destroyed Fairy World” kind of way thankfully.
Oh and it goes without saying that whenever the two of them argue or mess with each other, Mama Cosma sides with Cosmo, which would only make Schnozmo angry and resentful. In general Schnozmo and Mama Cosma would have a very bad relationship. Given how Mama Cosma is, Schnozmo was likely already closer to his dad, but once Cosmo got in the picture and Papa Cosma was gone, it became a mess. Like I could definitely see instances of Mama Cosma being tired and stressed from watching over a baby Cosmo and taking it out on her older son, constantly ignoring his problems and needs because “can’t you see how exhausted I am having to deal with your dysfunctional brother?!”
And who knows maybe she would have considered kicking him out at some point but decided against it to hide the fact her family’s been breaking apart (keeping up appearances in front of other fairies). On that note I do think Schnozmo would go no-contact with his mom once he moves out, only popping back up in her life if he needs something. Not sure how often she’d accept though.
Going back to the brothers, I think what would change Schnozmo's view would be Cosmo’s teenage years in which his struggles with his magic would become much more obvious, making Schnozmo realize how much of a mess his brother actually is and how much he cares for Cosmo deep down, not wanting to lose him. Now ultimately a lot of their adult relationship have to do with Schnozmo using Cosmo’s kindness and naivete against him, but even then I think he’ll come through if Cosmo needs him.
And speaking of Cosmo’s teen years, Cosmo did not have a good time at school, in any grade. The adults in his life (both in and out of school) either hate him for the destruction he causes + the baby ban or fear him for his powers. His classmates wouldn’t be better, mainly being cautious about him even if he didn’t do anything (their parents would warn them to be careful around him) or some fairies would bully him until he strikes back and then play the victim, getting Cosmo in trouble since “you’re the strongest here you need to be careful!”
His intelligence would also be something he’d get picked on for, with some adults really not helping by calling him a waste of potential, talking about how powerful he is and “how much of a shame it is that so much power was given to someone so stupid who can’t use it properly”.
On that note, I honestly think Cosmo has some sort of learning disability. I mean, in his own words in “Apartnership!” the first Mama Cosma episode, “I’m not smart. Big words confuse me. I have the attention span of a rodent.” and we do see him struggle on several occasions with not understanding words in the og show. Also in “Lost and Founder’s Day” from New Wish he struggles with the spelling of a word, and in “Operation Birthday Takeback” isn’t explicitly told what Dale is doing and figures it out like 30 seconds after Wanda and Peri, with Wanda even making a comment about it (while swooning which is very cute!).
So yeah, while I see him as a prodigy when it comes to using magic (in “This is Your Wish” we see him be able to do incredible things as a kid and he’s clearly doing them on purpose without breaking a sweat), he definitely has a learning disability when it comes to academic stuff, especially when it comes to words from the looks of it.
Tbh you could make a very strong case for Cosmo being neurodivergent, especially adding in the several instances of characters telling him to focus in the og show or just the fact his main issue with magic is the way he understand wishes or the things that come through his brain. Again, in “This is Your Wish” he knows exactly what he’s doing, his train of thought is just different than what’s expected on top of him not realizing the danger of the things he creates.
Also I can’t remember the episode but I saw a scene with him and Wanda talking followed by Wanda and Timmy, and while these two talk Cosmo is just staring off into the distance, completely immobile except for the usual “fairy hovering”, seemingly zoned out. And unlike other instances of him doing that I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a joke in that scene.
So yeah, this man’s probably neurodivergent hence him using his magic in an “unconventional” way, on top of having a learning disability that causes him to struggle with words and be slow to process some information if it’s not explicitly said to him. And when you have those struggles paired with the ability to bend reality to your will by accident, it’s hard.
Another thing about school which would be eerie for him is the fact that he’d start first grade in a school full of fairies, and by the end of middle-school there’s only a single grade left since he’s the last fairy born. So the last year of school he would walk through empty halls and classrooms, meeting teachers who constantly worry about finding new jobs what with the school clearly about to close. This would probably be something that he wouldn’t be picked up for but is still a constant reminder that he’s the reason fairies can’t have kids anymore.
By the way small word about ages but the way I see it the second youngest fairy before Cosmo would be between a week and a few months older (depend if the Fairy World population is in the thousands or the millions), so there are fairies around Cosmo’s age.
And since I’m at it I’ve seen screenshots from an episode showing him and Cupid being in high school together, and I also headcanon him and Wanda as having a bit of an age gap, for example Cosmo being 93 and Wanda 132 years old when they met, something along those lines. So in my headcanon Cosmo and Wanda didn’t go to school together but Cosmo and Cupid did. Also Wanda and Juandissimo were high-school sweethearts, meaning they’re around the same age (tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if the episode showing Cosmo and Cupid also had Wanda at their school but even if that’s the case I’m choosing to ignore it here).
Getting into Cosmo’s teen years, it was though. The bullying and feelings of inadequacy were starting to pile up, along with him fully realizing what “you accidentally killed your father, destroyed Fairy World and probably killed a few fairies doing so, and even though you were a baby at that time who had no idea what he was doing we still think it’s your fault we can’t have babies anymore” truly means. Like the sheer weight of such information must be devastating. Add to it the mess that are teenage hormones and you get someone in a very bad mental space.
Now to give some explanation about my headcanons for magical backup since I’m about to mention it a few times, in “Fairy For a Day” from New Wish, the music fairy makes a comment saying “keep granting each other wishes”, something like that.
So my idea is that magical backup is something every single fairy can suffer from if they don’t use magic to help others for an extended period of time. I would say “if they don’t use magic period other than stuff like teleportation, floating and shape-shifting (aka anything they can do without wands)” but in that case I feel like magical backup wouldn’t be an issue in the slightest. So yeah instead we’re going with them having to help others, especially since in “OddPirates” Wanda wishes to Poof at some point to help him learn, showing fairies can wish to other fairies.
All this to say fairies help each other out in small ways, and if they don’t they fucking die. And considering Cosmo and Wanda seem almost unable to refuse granting their godchildren wishes (at least in the og show, in New Wish you almost never have the “wand deflating” thing because they know beforehand they can’t grant those wishes), on top of scenes like the one in “Apartnership!” when Timmy says “I wish” and dozens of fairies show up, I could see it as fairies being able to refuse wishing for another fairy but being completely unable to do so when a miserable human child does, for reasons I’m too lazy to figure out (probably something about their society needing humans to function to some extent thus having fairies evolve in a way that they need to help humans).
Also I have no idea if magical backup would spread quicker if a fairy has more magic. I guess it’s worth pointing out that for both instances of Cosmo and Wanda getting it, Cosmo was first and it evolved quicker, but then again Wanda wasn’t too far behind. So idk, maybe it does?
Going back to Cosmo, during his teenage years and early adulthood, he would very often suffer the early symptoms of magical backup (confetti + vomiting the way I see it), sometimes worse, due to him refusing to use his magic in fear of hurting other people. In some instances he might even make comments about how Fairy World would be better off without him. Btw this is basically when I see Schnozmo realize just how terrible his brother feels and start being nicer to him. But yeah, Cosmo was in a very bad place as a teen, which continued in early adulthood.
(Side note but him having magical backup so many times could explain him not taking it too seriously at first in the og show, with him pretending to have it for a few seconds to mess with Wanda.)
And throughout all of this Mama Cosma was supportive, telling him there was nothing wrong with him and the others were messing with him and that he should use his magic in small ways if only to keep himself safe...until she didn’t and sent him to boot camp as soon as he was of age.
I like to think that this is when Cosmo started detaching himself from his mom. Just seeing her go overnight from “I love you just the way you are” to “everybody else was right and I’ve been thinking of you as a problem since your birth, I just didn’t want to deal with making you sad” would be a massive betrayal in his eyes.
Note that I believe Mama Cosma sending him to military training is actually a good thing, and pretty much the one good thing that woman did in the show. Given how much destruction we see Cosmo cause, and since as far as we know there aren’t exactly places that could provide the help he needs, a place with strict rules and monitored by potentially very powerful fairies could be the second-best thing to teach him what not to use his magic for.
Btw if you’re wondering I think the best thing for Cosmo would be to have a place where he can use his magic in whatever way he wants without putting anyone or anything at risk. More on that later actually. Second best would be to give him a wand restricting his magic but also I don’t think it would feel good to have something blocking what is supposed to feel natural for you, so it might not be a good solution actually…
In any case, having Mama Cosma reveal she’s been unhappy with her son’s powers this whole time, meaning she’s been lying to him this whole time, would hurt a lot, causing Cosmo to start drawing away from her. On top of that he was now almost an adult so it was also natural for him to seek some independence, even while still living under her roof.
Now onto Cosmo and Wanda’s early relationship (no idea how to make a transition here).
First off, I’m going with the backstory in which the two of them met at a diner, except neither of them were teenagers in my version. As mentioned before Cosmo would be in his late 90s and Wanda around early 130s.
And since I don’t think I mention it anywhere else in this post, I’m going with the headcanon of Cosmo being 10 000 years old during the og show, with him and Wanda being married for 9 895 years as of “Apartnership!” (that’s the number, right?). Which is also why Cosmo is in his late 90s when meeting Wanda, since it means he’d be 105 when they get married (or around that age if you consider that Cosmo is probably not exactly 10 000 years old in the show, rather something like 10 014 for example).
Cosmo would land himself a job as a waiter since he doesn’t need to use magic for it. He’d even let his wand home to further reassure his boss that he’s not doing any magic. He and Wanda meet when Wanda and Blonda come to the place to hang out. Wanda realizes he’s cute and finds herself surprised by it since as mentioned before she was raised with a toxic view of what a man is supposed to be like.
(More specifically I could see Blonda as being the one pointing him out and he accidentally spills a drink on her or something, causing Wanda to be like “oh you’re right sis I like him”.)
Wanda would convince him to go out with her, intrigued by that shy boyfailure trying his best, and during that hangout Cosmo would be pretty closed off, not using any magic partly because he didn’t bring his wand, offhandedly mentioning he got magical backup dozens of times, and by the end of it he’d be like “you’re very smart and pretty and spending time with you was very fun but it’s probably best if we don’t see each other again”.
After the “date” Wanda would talk about it to Blonda who’d probably mock her sister for scaring the guy away. Big Daddy would overhear some of the conversation and recognize Cosmo’s name as the infamous last fairy born whose terrible two almost caused the apocalypse. Wanda and Blonda would be flabbergasted because “dad that guy’s a complete wimp, what do you mean he’s one of the strongest fairies?!” and Wanda would quickly catch onto the fact that this sweet guy is considered a menace, goes around without a wand and has magical backup on the regular, all of which are not good signs.
She’d manage to convince Cosmo to meet her to talk and would just ask him if he’s okay, if he needs someone to talk to. And I could see Cosmo being very taken aback by it, like when he shows up Wanda says she knows about him being the last baby born so he’d immediately assume she’s here to tell him to stay away from her. But no she’s just worried for him and wants to offer some comfort. And with Cosmo at that point having lost trust in his mom, the only person he thought was in his corner, he’d open up to Wanda.
So the two of them would start spending time together, as friends since Cosmo clearly isn’t in the proper state to think about dating right now, though I like to think Wanda was pursuing him a little, if only making him know she’d be interested. But anyways Wanda would quickly catch onto the fact Cosmo never has his wand when they’re together and whenever she suggests he uses hers because it worries her to see him never do magic, he’d refuse, saying it’s safer that way.
Then one day while hanging out Cosmo gets the early signs of magical backup and Wanda doesn’t know what worries her most, seeing him have it or how calm he is about it, which shows how used to it he is. Doesn’t help that he’d insist she brings him home rather than have him use her wand to get rid of it immediately before it gets worse.
That would be the last straw for Wanda who would go to the people her dad works with (her “uncles”) to ask if they know any place where one could use their magic in possibly destructive ways without consequences. And one of them would tell her about the Hocus Poconos, a place where goes all the un-granted wishes from human children. As a result the place is pretty chaotic to begin with and nobody cares what happens to those wishes so it’s fully unsupervised.
So Wanda would waste no time telling Cosmo about that place, convincing him to bring his wand this time around, and after a lot of hesitation and some small wishes he’d start getting more comfortable and unleash his powers, growing visibly more confident. And dumb small note but seeing Cosmo in his element and visibly confident in himself is when Wanda sees him go from cute to hot.
In any case Cosmo would be incredibly grateful and start coming to the Hocus Poconos regularly on his own, feeling a sense of freedom in being able to unleash as much magic as he can while also finding himself loving kids’ imagination, which eventually leads him onto the path to become a godparent.
For Wanda, it’s after seeing Cosmo get better that she realizes how much she enjoys helping others and offer companionship and could see it become her profession. Also maybe the fact the Fairy Council wouldn’t be too keen on letting Cosmo on earth without supervision could influence it as well (meanwhile everyone would think they’re allowed to work together due to being a couple), but then again I don’t want it to be a “she chose this work solely for Cosmo” type of situation.
Same with her helping him with his confidence btw, hence me saying he’d go back to Hocus Poconos on his own. While Cosmo would definitely gush about Wanda saving his life, she didn’t “fix” him or anything like that. She was someone he could talk about his problems to and offered suggestions for things she thought could help him, but he still was the one who had to follow through on his own. And whenever Wanda had issues of her own, he’d return the favor, being there to comfort and help her.
And about him saying Wanda saved his life, after a while of using his magic more and more often, he’d think about how, if he hadn’t met someone like her to encourage him to use his magic without being afraid, he’d probably have either died of magical backup or from its side effects from having it too often. At the same time I’m not going to say “him thinking this is why he fell in love with Wanda” because again I don’t want to fall into the trap of a character “fixing” another or putting them on a pedestal.
Back on topic, having a place to spend his magic would do wonders for Cosmo’s self-esteem, giving him space to try new things, make mistakes or even just create a black hole or two if he feels like it. That doesn’t mean he’d suddenly be completely fine, he’d still feel self-conscious about people hating him for his magic (and tbh just looking at the og show Cosmo comes off as deeply insecure at times, so yeah he’s not suddenly all happy), but it would definitely put him into a better mental state.
Also, feeling more confident he’d start to reciprocate Wanda’s flirting, pursuing her back. And yeah as a result it would be one of those relationships where you significant other is also your best friend.
As for the “speed” of their relationship, I could see the transition from friends to lovers as being a bit slow due to them wanting to make sure this is truly what they both want and not just Cosmo lashing onto the first person he trusts, plus Wanda’s family life is dangerous so she wants Cosmo to make sure he knows what he’s getting himself into. But once their relationship gets serious there’s no stopping it.
And speaking of stopping it, Mama Cosma would notice that her son isn’t having magical backup anymore, causing him to tell her it’s thanks to a girl he’s into, even invite Wanda to dinner so she can meet his mom. Mama Cosma would not be happy about it and would be incredibly passive-aggressive during their meeting, with Wanda keeping the visit short as a result and Cosmo being pretty unhappy seeing how insistent his mom is that he shouldn’t date anyone.
On that note Mama Cosma could be another reason why they took it slow at first, Wanda made it clear she wasn’t having any “mamma’s boy” bullshit. It’s a bit more complicated during the events of the og show since it’s been a long time since Cosmo saw his mom and he believes (and promises to Wanda it’s the case) that his mom’s just being a bit protective due to how long it’s been. Then one day it turns out she was being verbally abusive when babysitting Peri and Cosmo cut contact again and profusely apologized to Wanda for letting his mom talk so much shit about her.
But yeah Cosmo would probably have many fights with his mom about it, Mama Cosma claiming it’s only a matter of time before Cosmo does something to scare Wanda away with his magic and how she’s the only one who can watch over him, while Cosmo is throwing in her face the fact she sent him to military school while Wanda loves him the way he is and is trying to help him in a much more constructive way.
I could actually see those arguments as a bit of a surprise to Mama Cosma because not only does Cosmo find his mom intimidating meaning he usually doesn’t speak out against her, but in general Mama Cosma would be used to getting her way, especially with him. The fact Cosmo is much more powerful than her would also bother her because she can’t just force him to go to his room or anything else. And if he does something to leave the conversation, she can’t stop him. So yeah those arguments wouldn’t be pretty.
And eventually, when Cosmo has to make the choice, he decides to chose Wanda, eloping in secret and never having any contact with his mom, at least until the events of the og show. There would likely be times when he deeply misses her but he remembers why he left home and that’s enough to keep him away.
For Wanda, she never straight up told her father that her and Cosmo were dating, she made it sound like they were nothing more than friends and if anything she works with Cosmo to “supervise” him (in Big Daddy’s first appearance we learn Wanda writes him letters so the two are still in touch). Big Daddy still wouldn’t be too happy about it tho, especially later on during the og show when he learns that they are a couple.
His issues with it are that 1. Cosmo isn’t exactly the height of masculinity so Big Daddy can’t help but look down on him for not being manly enough (I actually like to think this is why he believed Wanda’s lie that they weren’t a couple; he couldn’t conceive the possibility of Wanda dating such a guy) and 2. He remembers Cosmo’s Terrible Two very well and is worried about him hurting Wanda with his magic. Especially since him being a mafia boss means his daughter already got a target on her back, he doesn’t want her to be in even more risk.
(Note that Wanda was already a late teen/adult when Cosmo’s terrible two happened, so she at least heard of it and saw some of the consequences, but she likely didn’t see the worst of it; like maybe Big Daddy lives pretty far from the city center of Fairy World and had his daughters stay home during Cosmo’s terrible two while he was forced to continue working, hence seeing more than his girls)
(And if it needs to be said Big Daddy’s issues with Cosmo not being masculine enough have nothing to do with transphobia. Big Daddy would be fully accepting of Wanda and possibly Blonda (if they’re identical twins) being trans women and couldn’t care less about what Cosmo has in his pants. His problem is that Cosmo isn’t muscular, cries easily, is a bit of a cowards, and likes to wear stereotypically feminine clothing sometimes, none of which is related to Cosmo being trans.)
Ultimately he’s not as openly hostile as Mama Cosma but he definitely acts like Cosmo isn’t here when seeing him. And whenever Wanda comes to visit her dad, he doesn’t mention Wanda’s love life in any way and brushes it off quickly if Wanda does, or he shifts the conversation towards his grandson instead once Peri’s born. Note that I see Wanda as visiting her father without Cosmo, mainly for Cosmo’s safety because mafia.
Oh and Cosmo never met the guy before the og show but he did know who he was from hearing about him from Wanda + possibly knowing his company’s name. Wanda would have also warned him about the mafia part hence why Cosmo is so nervous and visibly scared of the guy in the show. He might not be the brightest bulb but he understands the danger this man brings with him.
Finishing this post with a few words about Poof/Peri, when Cosmo was pregnant he would have had some worries over how powerful the kid would end up being, wishing to protect his baby from the emotional mess he went through. And while the kid is more powerful than average, Cosmo was infinitely relieved to see Peri remains much weaker than him.
That’s not to say it’s all sunshine and rainbows, again I go further into it in the baby ban post but the short version is that the Fairy Council is keeping an eye on Peri on account of being Cosmo’s son, including giving him a wand that reduces his magic despite him technically not needing it.
Cosmo isn’t the biggest fan of that wand but he’d rather have this than Peri going through hell for being too powerful. Meanwhile Wanda’s getting tired of Fairy World punching down on her boys. On that note once fairies realized the baby ban wasn’t going away anytime soon and started to hate on the Fairywinkle-Cosmas, Coswan quickly decided they’d move out of Fairy World once Peri’s old enough to take care of himself, hence the 10 000 years vacation followed by them “moving” to the human world.
(Note that they would invite Peri to their vacation + send him postcards + look for him after coming back, it’s just that Peri refused to go so he could have some time for himself + turned off the wand location thing, probably also left a message at home saying he found a job and is doing fine, hence why they weren’t too worried for him)
That being said (the wand restriction thing) I could definitely see Peri at some point hurting someone at spellementary school (which would be before he got his wand change) and deciding not to use his magic anymore, leading to him and Cosmo having a heart-to-heart about their magics.
Tbh this could also be a reason why Peri seems closer to Cosmo, maybe they bonded over being deemed too powerful. That being said Cosmo wouldn’t tell his son the extent of his situation, not wanting to worry him. Especially since he’d be doing much better now and is genuinely happy so there’s no point dwelling on the bad parts of his past.

Me, realizing I never wrote down my Canon Divergences for my Fairly Odd Parents Muses despite having them explicitly listed as Canon-Inspired and Canon-Divergent.
Chloe & Gary under the cut cause this got long.
ANTI WANDA (Canon Inspired)
Oblivious at times, but not stupid by any means.
Extremely boisterous and domineering personality.
Had dreams of becoming a Fairy Godmother before she realized that Anti-Fairies couldn’t. It’s part of the reason she’s so resentful of Fairies.
Her disguised animal form is an Iguana.
She is extremely close with her younger twin sister Anti-Blonda.
Really, really loves kids. Absolute Mom-Material right here.
If you even LOOK at Anti-Big Daddy wrong she’ll suplex you into the sun.
She’s so in love with Anti-Cosmo it’s honestly gross. She loves his ambition, his cunning, his laugh, just everything about him.
Has a Bachelors Degree in Political Sciences and a minor in Culinary Arts.
She was the one who pushed Anti-Cosmo to try to get Anti-Fairies to have the rights to be Fairy Godparents in later seasons, instead of just taking over the worlds. Which is very sweet of him to do.
CHLOE CARMICHAEL (Canon Inspired)
There is no Fairy Shortage, and Chloe’s Fairy Godfather is Binky.
Chloe struggles with believing that she’s actually miserable, because she’s rich, and her parents are good people, and she isn’t a bad kid.
But just because she’s all of those things doesn’t mean she’s happy.
She tries so hard to live up to the legacies of her successful, philanthropist parents, and it usually ends up blowing up in her face.
Binky’s disguised form is a fluffy purple Bunny with floppy ears.
Chloe is somewhat neurotic and nearly crumbles under the stress and expectations she puts on herself a lot of the time.
She struggles to understand that she’s a child whose allowed to make mistakes, get in trouble, and have fun simply because she wants to have fun, and not because she wants other people to have fun.
Chloe’s parents aren’t around enough to notice she needs help.
Her Try-Hard, Do-Gooder Nature often pushes away potential friends, leaving her alone with her Godparent.
IMAGINARY GARY (Canon Divergent)
Gary’s feelings on Timmy are incredibly complicated right now. But he doesn’t quite hate him anymore.
He knows everything Timmy did about Fairies up until he was made real in his titular episode.
Despite being able to rally the villains on Unwish Island, Gary is still like 11, he’s a child, and wasn’t prepared to be stuck with a bunch of Timmy Clones and villains who genuinely wanted to waste Timmy.
Using the Magic Copy Machine and a Shrink Ray, Gary escaped Unwish Island and has been bumming around Dimmsdale, living his life until he inevitably just disappears because Timmy has lost his Fairies.
Mad Big Brother instincts because he was imagined that way by Timmy, no matter how resentful he is of Timmy for abandoning him. Gary is protective sibling material!!
Give this resentful little megalomaniac a family, pleaseeee.

cosmo has a mother who keeps treating him like a helpless baby so she can keep him under her thumb. wanda has an overbearing father that keeps using intimidation to get what he wants and what HE thinks is right for her. cosmo’s only brother cares about him but also isn’t afraid of conning/lying to him for his own benefit. wanda and her only sister fucking hate each other. cosmo’s dad seems like a sweet guy but then his son accidentally turned him into a fly and he has not been mentioned ever again. the only thing we know about wanda’s mom is that she cared more about blonda than wanda. from the moment they started dating, they've been told nonstop that it's a mistake with zero thought about THEIR feelings
cosmo has basically spent his whole life (which makes it THOUSANDS OF YEARS) being told by all of fairykind that he’s stupid and a menace. wanda dated and then broke up with a guy who refuses to let go off her but also refuses to stop being a womanizer. they have both made a living out of taking care of miserable, neglected children and making their lives at least bearable for thousands of years, and they have whole galleries inside their home dedicated to the best AND the worst of them (but if they REALLY thought so low of the latter, why bother to keep memories of them at all? and keep in mind this includes a girl directly responsible for causing WWI in the FOP universe).
and then there’s timmy. I don’t need to elaborate about timmy, other than he was also neglected by his parents (which they knew perfectly well), made it possible for them to have a baby when they couldnt before and pretty much changed their lives irreparably as much as they did his. and then they had no choice but to leave once he turned 18 like any other godkid, knowing that meant he would never remember them again. and THEN they retired and disappeared into time and space for 10,000 years to the point where they completely lost contact with their own son accidentally???????
they are. not okay
guys I think cosmo and wanda have some serious issues with attachment :(

while I’m posting old writing snippets... here’s something FOP related that’s also old but good. It’s coswan
Preface
He seriously needed a coffee right now. Preferably one in his favorite mug, the pink one with the big red heart on it.  Coffee just tasted better in that cup.  And for this daily task, he needed the caffeinated drink. The bitterness of a black coffee got him through this.  Usually he’d have something sweetened up, with mocha or cream or any other thing you could put into coffee, but black was all that helped here.   Because this daily task—one he’d made a requirement for himself—had to do with teenagers.
Watching over teenagers, to be exact. Observe them.  Make sure he knew exactly what to do with them when February fourteenth rolled around—he was Cupid, of course.  The God of Love had to be aware of who he was shooting in the butt.  But teenage love (though quite cute, he had to admit) was so unreal it almost made him sick.  Teen love was all hormones and hungry children wanting to move too fast, to climb on top of each other all at once.  True love in a teenager was rare, with both fairies and humans.
Today he was checking the fairies. He did it one high school at a time.  Perhaps he missed a few people in the process, but he’d get to them eventually. There’d be an arrow in their rear at some point.  Whether that arrow lasted a lifetime or not… well. It really depended on the person. Some people never had an arrow with their names on it.
He focused his attention on Carl Poofy Pants Fairy High School, on this particular day.  He had the list of names with him, and (thank goodness) a cup of steaming black coffee on the table next to him.  He could see the front doors of the high school in his mind’s eye, and the students milled about just like in any other school.  Nothing out of the ordinary. Normal high school activities. There was a girl being followed by a harem of men—obviously the prettiest in school. One look down his list told him her name was Blonda, and her arrow was most definitely sitting in his archive.  He just knew it was there. Cupid’s intuition was rather refined.
He focused again on the setting of the school inside his head, sweeping over a poor fairy child being turned upside-down by the captain of the football team… he mentally checked off all their arrows… and a few girls quietly gathered around their lockers laughing together.  All their arrows were there as well—
Hold on. No. Wait. Back to the tiny fairy being bullied, he was now right side up, begging the football player’s forgiveness, for whatever he had done.  Cupid tried… he truly did… but this green haired boy had no arrow. His name would be on his list, but… and in the group of girls, by the lockers. No arrow on one of them, the pink haired girl, too. Rare, so very rare, to have two arrowless people in one place.  He supposed it to be possible.  But he felt bad for the two poor saps who’d never experience the joy of love, the rush one got when they were pierced by his expertly shot arrow. Rare… rare cases happened where someone fell in love without an arrow. And not fake love. Real, true love. But never had the other person returned the feelings without Cupid’s guidance.  It just meant that, one side of the couple had a more raw passion to it. Falling in love without a love arrow was so powerful. Cupid adored it when it happened. It powered his machines greatly.
He browsed curiously through all the other children.  They were fine. Arrows were there.  But… his interest had been sprung. He’d have to keep a close eye on those two, when he had moments of free time to spare.  In fact, he decided to dig through his file cabinets, pull out the two fairies files, not very full right now.  Oh how he didn’t know, how full they’d get. He’d need more than folders to keep the papers of these two organized. But at this moment, he just set the files down on his desk—with the other arrowless fairies and humans--to browse later on.
He was sure they were unrelated.  Just two kids in the same school happened to have a similar situation.  They didn’t seem to even see each other when he’d been watching the school scene.  Neither knew of the other’s existence.  Still, he liked carefully tracking these types. Just in case they were ones to fall in love all on their own.  He needed that. And he needed it documented carefully.
Yes, he’d certainly be keeping a watchful eye and open ear over these teens. This… Cosmo and Wanda.
Chapter One
Today was the anniversary of her mother’s death. This day always had her thinking, thinking her life through, thinking about the choices she was making.  That is—it made her think even more than usual. And usual was, well… a lot.  She thought about her grades. They were perfect, spot on.  And to keep them that way, she had to think about them.  She thought about what she was going to wear. Not that she was very fashionable—she wanted to be presentable, though.  She thought about what she was going to have for lunch today. Wanda thought about her family.  How her father clearly loved her sister better.  He was proud of Wanda, sure.  She had the highest marks, and he bragged about it.  But her sister was stunningly gorgeous somehow, much more so than Wanda—even if they were twins.  Though Blonda had to start dying her hair when it began to lose its natural shiny blonde color, she was still the most beautiful.  She was the head of the acting club at school. She had a posse of men carrying her things and giving her compliments.  Wanda didn’t hate her sister. She simply couldn’t. She was family. But she loathed her inflated ego and tendency to rub things in the pink haired fairy’s face.
She was overthinking her sister, again. What else was there to think about? Oh yes, meeting the girls after school today, at the diner. And… her boyfriend. There was always him to think about. Not that she really enjoyed thinking about Juandissimo. Wanda was very back and forth on breaking it off with him—on one hand, she made all the other girls jealous by dating the most hunky guy in school.  On the other hand, those girls were out for blood, and Juandissimo ate it up. He wasn’t very caring to Wanda’s needs, either.  He never waited for her, dropped her off, picked her up, things you’d expect to be a common courtesy for a boyfriend to do.
Wanda couldn’t bring herself to end it, however. She didn’t want to be the girl who dumped ‘the best thing that ever happened to her.’  She didn’t want to hurt Juandissimo’s feelings. He was not cruel to her—simply shallow and a bit untrustworthy.  She would need a real reason to break up with the guy. Not just lingering discomfort.
Lost in these thoughts as she picked up her wand and floated lazily out of the house, calling goodbye to her father.  Wanda hated having to open the big golden gate in front of her house.  She was too rich for her own good, thanks to Big Daddy’s trash business.  One would expect her to be stuck up. No, that was Blonda, not her.  She was the good twin.  The good twin who was dating the best boy in school. Right? Not that she was planning to marry the guy. No way. That was thinking much too far into the future, anyway.  She was a junior in high school, she had plenty of time to think about it.  Wanda almost slapped herself out of her daze. She was such a thinker.  School was what she should be focusing on. Getting to school. Turning the corner into an alley, she spotted Juandissimo talking to another girl, and caught a whiff of the conversation. Something about… about… she quickly zipped back around the corner and hid, heart pounding. He’d been talking about her. He’d said something… something about how he enjoyed Wanda being beside him. Something about how it made him look good. She could barely process this information thrown in her face so suddenly. He couldn’t have meant it. He was trying to get the girl off his back.  Her boyfriend wasn’t using her.
So after a few long deep breaths and a mini panic attack, she turned the corner again and called out his name, to which he smiled at her and took her arm in his and they went to school together, then separated as she went to her locker, as always. And her three best friends gathered around her. Well, one of them was her true best friend. That was Marigold. A dark-skinned fairy with eyes the color of the flower she was named for, Mari had tiny spiraling curls that she held back with a headband.  Her voice was a southern drawl, with didn’t make much sense, since fairies didn’t have a south, but that’s how she talked, and Wanda hardly noticed it.  The other two were best friends with each other, the light blue one Ella, and the teal one Nyx. However, the four were a little group. Wanda was comfortable with them. Ella and Nyx were always, always, asking her about Juandissimo. Just as they were now.
“Did he hold your hand?”
“Did he say anything romantic? Oh my stars, his accent probably makes everything sound romantic…”
Wanda shooed them away, giggling. Marigold didn’t look all that pleased—as she usually did when they were discussing the muscled fairy.
“I still say you dump the guy like a tonna bricks, Wanda dear.” She leaned against the lockers, arms crossed, and a pout on her lips. “I don’t like that there attitude ‘a his.”
“Relax, Mari.” Wanda replied, being casual about her inner conflict, acting as if there was none. “I can date who I want. And if I wanna dump him, I’ll do it. But for now… I’d like to keep the popular guy, y’know? Looks good on my rep.”
“Your rep? Wanda, datin’ a boy’s not gonna be on your college apps.”
“I know, I know. I just… Blonda. Y’know how she is, all perfect. I’ve got something over her on this. Blonda’s single.”
“And ready t’ mingle, yea. Girl needs to take it down a notch.” Mari shook her head disapprovingly. She was going to be a tough mother one day, if they allowed babies to be born again. Wanda didn’t know who, but some fairy baby had caused some disaster and they outlawed it. Shame, too.  Although, this meant that adult fairies went pretty much insane with sexual activity, due to lack of repercussions and responsibility.
Not that Wanda was ready for sex. No way. She was in high school. No matter how many times Juandissimo asked her if she would ever want to—she told him she was waiting for marriage. That was her rule.
Wanda shook out of her thoughts and told Mari not to worry and headed off to her advanced magic class. She knew no one in the class, so it was her thinking time, she barely noticed spells flying back and forth, and always just casually put out her hair whenever it was set alight by that three-headed hydra some kid just loved to make. It always stooped one of its heads down to Wanda, the name tag around its neck, reading ‘Snowball,’ jingling as it waved back and forth.
"Hiya Snowball," Wanda mused quietly, patting the head of the creature. She wondered why he had a soft spot for her. One time during cheerleading practice he had suddenly appeared—his creator probably in gym class nearby—and stomped over to her, scaring the rest of the squad until Wanda shooed him away.  She wasn’t afraid. The pink haired fairy was used to the crazy antics of the talented creative advanced magic class. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t feel she belonged there.
Wanda couldn’t do magic with her hands very well. With her wand, she was unstoppable.  Hand magic took too much out of her.  The teacher said it was probably because she was too rigid—too much of a stickler to the rules.  Most other kids in the class flew up out of the open sunroof into the air, and had magic fights.  Wanda preferred staying grounded and tried to use hand magic to write out lists of things to do.  It always came out sloppy and she opted instead to rewriting it by hand.
Occasionally a little purple freshman fairy named Violet would fly over to her desk and watch her, talking quietly that she’d almost got it. Wanda liked the gesture, but she’d seen the stuff the girl’d done. Violet shook her head saying she wasn’t the one who made Snowball—she didn’t know his name, she said. Violet was the one who made the tall sunflowers by the baseball field. They were stories high. And she’d done it with her hands, not a wand. She continued to take careful care of them with her hands.
Wanda felt like a failure in this class, so she was glad to leave it each day.
Because the rest of her classes were a breeze. Hard work, but easy for her. Then the day was over. The end of the day meant a nice little quiet moment with Juandissimo. She felt it was the best part of their relationship. He’d meet her alone by her locker and kiss her on both cheeks, then on her hand, and they’d talk about their days. Juandissimo’s was always a more superficial story, less stressful than Wanda’s, but she liked hearing it. Gave her a different outlook, she supposed.
Then he’d be off to some party that she wasn’t invited to—because she wasn’t popular enough. He promised he’d get her into one of these shindigs one day. She wasn’t sure about wanting to go.  Somehow she felt it might be the last straw that would end their relationship.
Wanda sighed, but tried to perk herself up enough before shutting her locker and taking her wand from her purse to zap outside the school—doors are for chumps, y’know.  At least there was the diner with Mari, Ella and Nyx.  They did it every week, this outing.  Ella and Nyx lived for it, they were always giggling and pointing behind the counter—something funny that they refused to tell Wanda. Though Mari seemed to know what it was, she wouldn’t say a word either. Wanda hated to be kept in the dark.
Today, however, they weren’t pointing.  Wanda glanced at the counter to make sure nothing was different.  Didn’t seem so. Until Ella spoke up, clearly miffed.
"Like, where is he? I need my weekly source of adorable comedy! He’s here every Wednesday."
"…Who?" Wanda gave her blue friend a raised brow. "Is this ‘he’ the thing you’re always laughing at that you won’t tell me about?"
"There’s a fairy over the counter always giving you the eye, Wanda! He’s embarrassing himself and it’s kinda funny. Almost cute in a way. How have you not noticed!?" Nyx blurted out quickly, not taking a single breath in between sentences. It was clear the secret had been killing her, her face was red.
Mari rolled her eyes from her position next to Wanda. “He’s got a crush, quit makin’ fun a him.  He’s prob better than that there Juan-dee-see-mo. Or however you say it.”
Wanda gave her best friend a glare, but her anger wore off quickly when she heard a squeak from Nyx across the way, who was pointing frantically behind Wanda with Ella covering her mouth to prevent the teal fairy from screaming.  Wanda turned, and who she guessed was the boy in question had a tray in his hands, looking like a server.
Oh yes, she recognized him. He worked here a lot. Not that she knew his name, or anything, but… wasn’t he usually washing dishes behind the counter, not serving the food?
Her question was soon answered when the boy didn’t notice a wet floor sign—honestly why was he walking when he could’ve been floating—and tripped, landing all of the food on the tray right on Wanda’s dress and face. She didn’t make a sound, just closed her eyes in surprise.
Now, Wanda could’ve gone off. She was ready to make her head explode, to be honest. But when her eyes drifted open and the little green fairy was giving her the most apologetic and embarrassed look she’d ever seen on anyone’s face in her entire life… well. She couldn’t help but smile.
"I-I-I’m sorry!" He said quietly, picking a french fry out of his hair. "I can… I can fix…"
"It’s alright," Wanda assured him, like he was a lost puppy-dog. "It’s really okay." She was getting ready to stand up…
"No! I can…fix it." The green fairy’s hand was aglow, soft yellow light emitting from his fingertips, and the next thing Wanda knew, she was sparkling clean, no trace of the food left.
"How did…?" She muttered, looking at her clean clothes in wonderment. He was amazingly talented at magic!
"I’m so so so so so so sorry they’re making me do waiter duty for the first time and I’m not very coordinated! I’m sorry really really really sor—"
"It’s fine, really…" She scanned his shirt for his name tag. "…Cosmo." The name rolled nicely off her tongue. A cute name, made her smile again. Why was she smiling again? Wanda was supposed to be moody and in mourning today. Not grinning like an idiot.
"I guess this is my punishment for Snowball burning off the manager’s hair—I totally embarrass myself in front of a pretty girl—"
“Snowball?” Wanda’s eyebrows shot up. “Like big hydra Snowball? With three heads?” Pretty girl?
“Yea, he’s my pet…how’d you know him? And my name too, how’d…?” he cut off when she pointed to his name tag, and he glanced down and looked embarrassed again, his whole face and ears turning bright red.

Note
Does H.P. have an Anti-Fairy counterpart, even though he's a Pixie? If so, did Anti-Cosmo's dad know his counterpart at all, since he and H.P. seemed to be decent friends? Or to take that further, do Anti-Fairies care about the Anti-Fairy counterparts of important Fairies and Pixies? Or are Fairy / Pixie celebrities of no interest to them?
I don’t have anti-pixies in my works if that’s what you mean, so no, HP does not have a counterpart. As for the fairy questions…
It’s kind of a personal preference thing. Some anti-fairies like certain counterparts (Blonda has a decent amount of anti-fairy fans, and Santa Claus is pretty popular for example though I guess Santa’s technically not a fairy), some think they’re all important, some just plain don’t care. Specifically…
Anti-Cosmo is mostly indifferent but low-key gets along with Wanda if he’s around her in a non-hostile setting. And, he’d never admit it, but he holds kind of a grudging respect for Jorgen.
Anti-Wanda is a big fan of Blonda, if only because Blonda is her sister’s counterpart.
And, Foop… Every fairy in the universe could die, and if it weren’t for the whole “if one goes the other goes” thing, he’d break out the champagne and celebrate.

Riddle watches New Wish - Post #19
Riddle's Extremely Specific FOP Problems
Just came from looking at screenshots I'd saved of Dev, like these ones from "A New Dev-elopment":
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think I've said this yet, but the funny thing about Dev is that his hair reminds me of how I draw Happy Peppy Gary, who's been one of my main doodle muses since 2016. They both have ginger spikes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This week I actually redesigned Gary's hair by letting it grow longer and more curly in the back, so I'll keep Dev's short in the back and only spiky in the front.
They have different skin and eye colors, etc., but it is funny that like, 6(?) years ago, I put Gary in a zipper hoodie.
Tumblr media
I do a lot of traditional art, and I'm really gonna have to do a sketchpage nailing their designs down so they look different in pencil.
My current Gary design does have a spiral in his hair since I do that for all my witches, and I don't think that'll ever come up for Dev, especially if Dale Dimm really is Dev's ancestor - the one person who's extremely UNlikely to be a witch - so... there's that.
Some old Gary sketches where he IS in his Learnatorium clothes:

I feel like I could redraw any of these poses with Dev, lol. The freckles do a ton of heavy lifting here.
....... I've been writing Ed Leadly and Gary as rivals for YEARS and this is once again adding a cruel layer of irony to my "Ed Leadly as Dev's grandpa" situation.
Tumblr media
Every time I see this kid, I see My Boy in him.

They are the same person to me...
The Haunting of Wells House
I like how Marcus keeps calling his daughter Hazelnut. It's cute. I'm glad to see him ready to hunt the "apartment ghost" he's been after since Episode 1.
Hooray for Cosmo and Wanda acting like neighbors!
Tumblr media
I feel like they shouldn't be giving a horror movie to a child if they haven't seen it themselves and then walk back to their room, especially since their line of work is about trauma recovery (or at least... helping kids avoid hurt). They should know better than that.
I'm so glad you can see into their apartment from the hall. Literally nothing stops you or hides their magic stuff. You can just do it...
Marcus sniffing the video while fancy dinner music plays is my everything. They're BOTH silly.
Tumblr media
I like how Cosmo and Wanda poofed up a TV for the apartment and included cobwebs and spiders on it. I guess that makes sense; they were giving Hazel a horror movie.
Ooh, ghostly lightning spirit of the actress trapped in the video?
Hazel has learned nothing from her last experience of wishing to be part of a TV show. She's 10.
Tumblr media
Wait, so... Cosmo and Wanda can hear Hazel's casual wish from across the hall? And poof over?
Uh, maybe we don't tell that to Dev, who just flipped out last episode when Peri didn't show up despite Dev whisper-calling for him when Vicky was putting him to work...
Tumblr media
She... Also, I can't believe Marcus left his daughter under a heavy machine for 4 hours.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So far, our only canon fairy death fits the OG series' implied canon that only non-magical items can kill Fairies [i.e. "magic doesn't affect magic" from "Abra-catastrophe"], so I like that.
I don't have much to say. Pepper seems interesting I suppose, and I can probably have her be a friend of Blonda's in 'fic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I enjoy Jorgen grumpily cleaning up magic messes. That feels right.
... Unclear if Jorgen is keeping a bunch of fairies locked in the basement or if he just has a shelf full of similar-looking items.
