A movie I always hated is Devil Wears Prada. Basically, the protagonist is so entitled that tries to obtain a work as journalists in a magazine, whom she didn't know the style, the editorial slant, the values ​​it wants to represent nor fashion design. However, Andy obtained this work position because she told Miranda she is smart and determined. Classical bullshit that everyone says in a job interview.

Now, Andy has obtained a job as personal assistant/secretary, a job for which she is still not qualified. Unsurprisingly, Andy isn't hired as journalists, because she didn't had the experience nor knowledge of fashion world to be one and this is just logical.

However, Andy starts complaining that everyone is mean to her, etc. But she decided to stay, because she wants to plump her curriculum that still will describe ZERO actual experiences as journalists and ZERO publishing history. But ok. Whatever you said. She is still the dorky goofy girl who wants desperately to be admitted among the cheerleaders without having any dancing or athletic skill.

However, Miranda gave Andy good recommendations, so she can obtain a new job as columnist for a prestigious newspaper. I still don't understand if she received the recommendation as secretary or journalists, the latter would have been a phony claim, because she didn't wrote anything for the magazine.

Moral Of The Story: if you agree to be humiliated, harassed, belittled enough, your boss would recommend you to all his/her rich and powerful friends and thanks to recommendations' system you will finally outcome and boycott this useless meritocracy.
