people who undermine the importance of izuku and katsuki's relationship throughout bnha because of "annoying shippers" or because they just don't like katsuki are insane because their relationship is literally so? important??? to the entire story???? katsuki is the deuteragonist of bnha. he was one of the first characters to show up. he was the first other person to know about OFA. so much of the manga is spent showing his development. if you deny his character development and relationship development ("relationship" does not always mean romantic relationship) with izuku, you are quite literally denying a massive part of the series. the manga starts with them and ends with them. you're allowed to dislike him but if you dislike him so much that you, in turn, start hating how izuku is a "punching bag" or a "doormat" for the entire series because he doesn't stay angry and vengeful at people even though a massive part of his character is that he's compassionate and kind even to people who aren't to him or used to not be, and you seriously think that that makes him weak, and you just start to dislike the main two characters of the series, i think you should. idk. stop reading, probably. read the revenge fantasy shit that you obviously want to read. there are like seven million manhwa available to you where the character gets the revenge you so desperately want to see.

Chilchuck analysis speedrun: As a hardworking half-foot who grew up poor and discriminated against and had his gullibility taken advantage of multiple times in his early adventuring days, Chilchuck thinks optimism is a dangerous flaw. He’s stressed and strict all the time because his job is noticing details like traps that could get everyone killed before anyone knows it, he takes the lives of everyone to be on his shoulders, and with the way he speaks about it that probably partly reflects how he felt about taking it upon himself to provide for his family too. His life’s always been pretty centered around work and has become even moreso now that his wife left and everyone is independent, and due to past events he’s very iffy with bonding with coworkers. He thinks feelings and job are a disaster mix. Like with his wife or with parties hiring him as sacrifice, being open or having good faith is vulnerability which can get you hurt, so he processes and shows all his stress as anger instead of worry. Doing strict dieting probably isn’t helping the irritability what with hunger, and on top of being a hunger suppressant alcohol might be the main stress reliever he has.

I'd thought I remembered, in the Knights of Requital planning, someone mentioning the gala being moved, because it gave the Nein an extra day to prep, and Dolan did specify that it had been unexpectedly pushed back a day, but doesn't suggest he knows why. (It's not clear to me based on the conversation when this change happened—it's possible Dolan has simply heard this update recently, but it also might've been a last minute change.) I was wondering because the timing of the Zauberspire attack coinciding with the gala seemed odd.

It is very narratively convenient, of course, and certainly the Kryn spies could've been using it for the same reason that the Knights of Requital were—important figures of the city were distracted and otherwise occupied, and Thuron does give an indication that Ulog was feeding them information as well, so he certainly could've suggested that timing to both.

But two things about the attack struck me: first, that the Zauberspire does not seem to be very far from where the gala is held, which makes it less of a distraction and more of a liability for covert military operations; and second, the Assembly reacts instantly. Moreover, Trent is already there, though he normally resides in Rexxentrum. He doesn't exactly seem the type to show up for annual holiday festivities, given he doesn't stand to gain much if anything from hobnobbing with a bunch of regional socialites, and Ludinus later suggests he is not exactly being dispatched to events as a diplomatic entity. Of course he can be in another city quite quickly, but this all happens so quickly that I find it unlikely that there would've been time to inform someone in another city prior to apprehending the infiltrators, given the immediacy with which the mages respond.

The point being, I think they were warned.

what do you think of threefold(possibly and a half)bullet as a romantic dynamic? i love the Shit Twins a lot, they are almost archetypally mythological to me and i've been fence-sitting about it for a while, so i'd like some outside perspective as you're one of my favourite people who does patho analysis. to get out of my ownhead or something.

i can see either of them with Daniil or Farkhad for different reasons, but also, like. they just web weaving to me with so many myths together, like the poet-muse type shit, something stereotypically femme-masc about the roles they fill (outdated, i know)

at the same time the talk of them being the same person (even if falling out of that eventually) has me like "yeah, they share everything basically"

i am just. over here. thinking and probably reading into it too much or not enough at all. so i'd like a second perspective. three(+half)fold bullet polycule yay or nay /j because i don't really know how to word the Vibes i am talking about.

I don't consider Daniil/Peter or Daniil/Andrey as romantic and/or sexual. I never have. this is not a secret for anyone. plenty of my Fellow Scholars and people whose written and painted works I admire do, and i fw it heavy for them I do, I see and understand the appeal, I see it with my eyerballs, but I don't consider it for myself and my own lore. these relationships as romantic/sexual are not something I take into account in my own lore because I don't see it. I thought that would be obvious considering this is gonna be my 4th year writing and drawing pathologic fanworks and I've never drawn or written anything about peterdaniil or dandrey. like by that time you'd think I'd have written or drawn something if I saw it that way. but I don't. so I haven't. and won't.

I am going to type what I type next with the acknowledgment that you said yourself that I am "one of [your] favorite people who does patho analysis". I also apologize if my tone sounds a bit dry or harsh, I have a pounding headache and it's making it hard for me to be a human person currently. here goes: it is not that I don't see where you're coming from, indeed I do, and I am disappointed in it. perhaps less disappointed in you for thinking it, because if I started being disappointed in strangers for having headcanons based on some kind of discrimination or prejudice I'd spend my days suffering, and this is not something I can control nor have any interest to have control over, but maybe more disappointed that you thought I was someone who would entertain it or agree. this feels like you managed to project out sexism (misogyny actually. why am i mincing words lol) on something that is not sexist/misogynistic. which is a feat because patho is misogynistic enough as it is.

both of them, in my lore, my own lore, which I made up myself, were attracted to Farkhad. this is something I've written about at length in my two oneirotects fics, even though it's more salient in ASEFSW. most of my farkhad art which involves the twins involves an undercurrent of Fear of the Erotic[ized] Other, a fear of consumption through sex or love (an obvious projection of the twins and a rationalization of their murder). this is again something I've discussed to at length in my threeandahalffold & fourfold & oneirotects tags. desire was one of the reasons farkhad had to die: he fell prey to the twins' "convince-consume-kill" modus operanti. I have nothing to add on this.

TLDR: no. because I don't see peter/daniil or andrey/daniil as romantic and/or sexual, I never have, it's been 3 years, it's gonna be 4. a relationship with Farkhad would have been unsustainable because he was a threat to them. eroticized, idealized, feared, adored, killed and eaten. but a threat to them nonetheless. you're gonna have to go back into your own head and make up a lore for yourself like a big boy because I do not see romantic or sexual bonds between the members of the threefold bullet, I never have, it's been 3 years, it's gonna be 4, so i am of no help. farkhad is dead. he doesn't stay it. what pursues them is not desire.

Thank you! I mean, I have complained about Brennan because his play style genuinely bothers me. (Although the more he's played the better I think he's gotten! I hope he continues to improve!) So I wasn't exactly your target audience. But it's still nice to see someone point out that he's about 10x worse than the non-cis white men who get complained about constantly. He creates cool characters. But he hogs the spotlight like no one's other actual player I've watched/heard

I mean you're free to dislike his playstyle as long as you're not like. A hater about it (like half the time the issue with ppl disliking things is they'll go on positive posts about that person and complain there instead of making their own posts, or worse, project on to the other players and say they totally must secretely hate this too like they're not adults and friends and professionals who would talk to each other if smth bothered them)

I don't mind Brennan's playstyle but he absolutely does have a main character vibe especially in his earlier player campaigns - which makes sense bc he's not actually super experienced as a player bc he's a forever DM and that's a pretty normal thing for new players to do (even if it feels super weird to call him new but as he said himself he doesn't get to play that often).

And I do agree he gets more balanced the more he plays (though again as long as everyone at the table is having fun, I really don't mind ppl "hogging" the spotlight, especially since these are all ppl who are in the actual play scene and get to play a lot, they'll all get their moments at some point. And Brennan usually facilitating those moments as DM sure deserves to get some himself)

Either way it's really the double standart for me. Like. You truly cannot be mad at Emily every time she makes a cool move or makes a powerful character and at Ally every time they take a wild swing and then have nothing but love for Brennan as Nikhil or Evan Kelmp. Like that's just an obvious double standart (and Brennan himself would absolutely throw hands with you for being mean to his friends)
