His recent adventures made him realise that it might be time to settle down. And that doesn't mean he won't be going from world to world anymore. He will, he'd just prefer to do it with that one special someone by his side. And what better way than to find that someone in style?

I've made another post that further specifies some choices you have. I'm asking you to prepare this before submitting your Sim. That will make it easier for me to play it out when it comes up in my game. I know it looks like a lot, but all you need to do is make a Sim, dress them nicely and make a few choices. Then I'll do the hard work.

This is The Grand Scheme. Save the link, it'll be handy when you create your Sim. And even if you do not intend to submit a contestant, I don't mind sharing my nefarious plans ;)

There's a maximum of 12 participants (and a minimum of 7 or it'll mess up the schedule), first come, first served. One of these spots has been reserved for @zosa95. Because, if I hadn't submitted Iker's sister Neia to Branson's Bachelor Challenge, I would not have had Iker. It seemed only fair to do this in return.

Practical considerations:

No CC (minor exceptions: x and x)

I have all packs except Batuu. As for CAS Kits, I only have Simtimates and Moonlight Chic.

You will need Growing Together and Lovestruck for the personality likes and TOTOs. If you do not have these packs, you can still participate. You just need to let me know how you want to fill these and I can set them for you once your Sim is in my game.

1. Requirements:

Age: Young adult (give a 'real life' age if you like, anything from 18 to 30 is acceptable).

Gender: Male or Female.

Pronouns: No custom pronouns that are intended to be silly (such as 'His Evil Highness' or 'Her Colourful Ladyship' or whatever you would use to refer to your favourite pet (or Sim)). This is basically to prevent me from making mistakes while posting. Too many different pronouns and it's gonna go wrong at some point. Please use something short (and easy to remember).

Sexual Orientation: Must be romantically attracted to and interested in woohoo with men (whatever else you check, is your choice).

Romantic Boundaries: Set them as you like, Iker's player trait should overrule it (if not, I'll set everything to no jealousy).

Occult: Human preferred. No Werewolves, Vampires or Aliens (Iker is still processing the Moonwood adventure, which also made him hate vampires. After StrangerVille, though unfounded, aliens are bit of a touchy subject too).

Traits: Bro and Unflirty are not allowed (there's a rule about bros, and unflirty will just make it incredibly hard for your Sim).

Likes/dislikes:

No more than 2 music likes (because those still dominate wants).

Decor and Fashion are optional (i.e.: Dream Home Decorator and High School Years are not required).

Conversation Topics and Sim Characteristics are required to be set.

TOTOs:

Way of Life and Characteristics are required to be set.

Romance styles: 2 turn ons and 1 turn off, the other 2 will be neutral (I'll do this for Iker too, for a more interesting experience).

Hair Colour: Black hair turn on is advised.

Outfit colour/Fashion categories are optional.

Your Sim can be CAS created or born in game, skills are allowed, there won't be skill based challenges. They can have additional self-discovery traits if you've played them. However: the romance skill and hidden woohoo skill are banned (Iker doesn't have those either, yet) and charisma is capped off at lvl 3.

Fame is not allowed - I'll just keep all Sims out of the spotlight.

2. Outfits:

There will be lots of themed parties, outings and dates, so I've got an entire outfit scheme set up. To give you a chance to express your Sim's personality through their outfit choices (and get creative with NoCC CAS).

First, look up the outfits on The Grand Scheme. Then choose one of the following:

Easy Street: Set your Sim's standard oufit for each category, copy it to all listed slots. Then adjust the two mandatory second outfits.

The Middle Road: Do as above, adjust any other oufits you like.

All the Way: Set all oufits as requested.

Know that not all of these outfits will be used if your Sim is eliminated early on. But hey, at least you'll get a nice NoCC lookbook from it! Another thing to keep in mind (though entirely optional), the show (mostly) takes place in Ciudad Enamorada and Oasis Springs in Spring and Summer. So, big fluffy sweaters might look a bit out of place. If you accidentally use an item from a Kit that I do not have, I will try to replace it with something similar. If you do not set outfits for the themed activities, I will dress your Sim as I see fit.

3. Dates:

For three of the dates, there's a choice to be made by the contestant. Look this up in The Grand Scheme and let me know through DM what your Sim would choose for their perfect date(s).

4. One Final Question:

In case your Sim is eliminated, should they:

be returned to you (I'll save your Sim after elimination and upload the tray files and send you a private link);

live on in my save file;

be deleted;

remain in limbo forever (I'll store the tray files somewhere)?

Not answering this question defaults in the last option.

I know this is a lot. I hope you are not deterred by it. I just want to do something interesting with the new date system. And then this massive plan formed and now I'm stuck with it.

Anyway you have at least until 21 September 2024 to submit your Sim. If you need more time, or I'm not ready with the preparations, that date may move to somewhere in September.

i've started doing polls on the simscord regarding what my next cc collections should be, and 'a MASSIVE BUNCH' of toddler clothing won by a biggg margin. so, expect a bunch more to come in the following months! 💃🏽

for the third installation of this collection, have 4 fullbody, unisex toddler outfits: two from @casteru, part of their colorblock set; and two from @powluna, the isaac onesie (and cape!) as well as the molly dress.

i've decided that, from now on, all of my toddler and children clothing is going to be unisex. that means that both male and female sims can wear them. what a kid wears shouldn't be restricted to their birth gender anyway, they're f'ing 8. if you have a problem with that, the outfit organiser by pick n' mix should have you covered. please don't spam my inbox with hate 😍

Random Veronaville Headcanons

I have been Veronapilled so now I have HC's to share with the class :)

-Titania started a tradition within the upper-class society of the Sims world ( besides the Capps think the Goths, Altos, Vanderburgs, Villareals) where for her and Oberon's anniversary she hosts a ball where all other Sims families travel out to Veronaville for a month in the summer and they have small social events throughout the month where they can socialize and set up business deals and their kids can become friends or like date. but on the last night, Tatiana has this huge Ball where all the guests and Tatiana's family dress up in white except Tatiana who wears a colored animal print

-The Monty's own a restaurant that is very successful and Romeo is set to own. Which Romeo very much tries to push on to Mercutio because Romeo likes to cook and all but he does not want to own a restaurant and neither does Mercutio. This is a common fight till one dinner when Antonio is sick of listening to them fight so he tells them the restaurant will be his till they figure it out. Romeo and Mercutio never figure it out.

- Consort constantly calls Kent, Kenny or Kennedy. Because Consort swears that he has 4 daughters. Not because he hates Kent just because he swears that when Kent was born in Roaring Heights he was a girl but when they moved to Veronaville Kent was male(This is based on the fact that when I played the Capps in Roaring Heights baby Capp was female)

-Consort has a very much once it's 9:30 I don't care what goes on in my house because I am in my nice soundproof room. Consort got his and Contessa room sound proofed after her realized he was going to have 4 teenagers at once

-The Capp grandkids take advantage of the fact that Consort doesn't care after 9:30 way more than Consorts kids ever did

-Tybalt and Juliette are the worst offenders. They both sneak out and sneak people in constantly, Even worse there has been times where Tybalt was trying to leave at night and Juliette took his car to do the same

-It's also bad because several time they have both ran into each other sneaking in the Monty Brother and they start fighting about if we are going to the same place don't take both cars and then its weird and all four of then just watch a movie

-Tybalt just doesn't like Romeo. not even in the way of the feud. He just doesn't like him as a person

-Juliette and Romeo get married really young. Like too young, Like they lied about their birthdays and went to Tartosa over the summer and got legally married at 15 before there sophomore year of high school

-Tybalt and Marla Biggs graduated in the same year and are best friends

-Tybalt and Hermia Share a birthday

-Juliette is really only called Juliette by Consort and her Aunts. She prefers to go by Jules.

-Puck lowkey hates Veronaville and moves out to travel and only visits for holidays and his mom's month-long party

lately i've been gravitating towards simpler, more basic clothes both in the sims and irl, so these creators and their cc have been on heavy rotation in cas:

@sforzcc - my personal recommendation for jeans, trousers and tees. but still, download everything. no questions. even if it's not for male sims. if you hate how they upload their cc, you are a weak person.

@softerhaze - the blue-collar boys collection and the true blue jeans are staples for male sims in my game now. recolors of familiar, beloved ea clothes in non-overbearing color palettes? that's mother.

@simsontherope - download everything especially the escale shirt and the bomber jacket. all-time classics. they own 51% of my entire ass.

@jius-sims - mens' shoes collections one and two. you need these.

AITA for running a kid out of a gaming community? (Tw mention of rape/self-harm/nazism)

I play the sims often, and am active in the simblr community. About four years back I (f, 19 at the time) saw a comment under a post about a DLC pack for the game, pointing out that there were an unequal amount of masculine vs feminine clothing in the pack, and stating that “girls were ruining the sims and making it a girls game.” I replied, saying I agreed with their assertion that in inequality isn’t fair (people, myself included, have been complaining about that very thing since the game first came out), but that it’s the developers faults, and it’s not right to blame the players or fanbase of a game for aspects of production that they have no control over. The commenter who I’ll call J (m, 17, though I didn’t know his age until later) responded saying again that girls were ruining the game for male players. Not wanting to clog the OPs notifs with back-and-forth comments, I messaged J privately, reiterating that I agreed with some of his points, just that it wasn’t fair to blame women for ‘ruining’ a game when they weren’t in control of mistakes the development team made. J went on a massive rant about how I was a ‘stupid white girl who loves Starbucks’ (I’m not white and I never said anything about Starbucks?) and that women were ruining the sims franchise by turning it into a “decorating and dress up game” and that players who were women “hated all men and children” because too many people made adult women sims and not enough men/child sims.

At that point I knew the discussion wasn’t going to go anywhere, so I joked and said he sounded like a Redditor. He responded by saying “me when women get raped” followed by a Fortnite dancing gif. I didn’t respond. An hour later he sent me a link to some website featuring a video of a man beating a woman in public. I screenshotted his messages, blocked him, and made a post with said screenshots urging others to not interact with him/to block him too.

A while later I get a message from a mutual linking a post he made about the situation on Reddit, explaining the discussion from his point of view. It was removed by the time I looked at it, but the comments were basically all agreeing with me or at least saying his last responses were wrong. He would go on to complain about how I was “the reason he hated modern women” and that I was “driving him back to being a Nazi because Nazis were so welcoming”. I made a post laughing at the situation, because it was just so absurd.

A few hours later I get an anon from J telling me that I had made him self harm and he posted the photos on his blog. When I finally got the courage to look on his blog several days later he seemed to be okay (it looked like he accidentally scratched himself on the arm too hard, nothing life threatening) but he had DOZENS of anons upset with him for the heinous shit he said. This is when I learned he was 17. He said that he “wasn’t a Nazi anymore, but was thinking about going back” (even though he was non-white, gay and trans?); that women were turning the sims into a girls game and because of that people irl would call him slurs because he was playing a girls game; that the reason he said those things to me was because “I’m autistic, and no one gets mad when they say it on family guy”, and that he want a misogynist he just wanted to make me upset, as well as back and forth arguments with anons where he essentially argued that female custom content creators are sexist if they don’t make masculine clothing/content for male sims. His last posts talked about how the sims was all he had in life and that since everyone in the community hated him now he’d just make everyone happy by killing himself. His blog hasn’t updated since.

Obviously I can’t confirm what happened to him, but I still think about this event frequently, and check up on his blog a few times a year. I have a sizable following on my simblr, and I knew I’d be exposing him to thousands of people with my posts—but I didn’t want him to hurt himself, I only wanted to warn people that he wasn’t safe to interact with.

Should I have blocked and moved on without warning people? Was I the asshole?

Random headcanons about Mercutio and Tybalt

In historical times, although both Tybalt and Mercutio are very skilled with the sword, Tybalt is more agile in movement and practice, while Mercutio is physically stronger.

In modern times, Tybalt's hobbies would be fencing, piano and boxing.

Tybalt is very thin both by constitution and because he is very tall, so isn't very noticeable that he is actually muscular, while Mercutio, being more "massive" and less tall than Tybalt (I imagine that Mercutio reaches Tybalt's shoulder in height) in him it's more noticeable that he is muscular, also because he is more muscular than him.

Mercutio have curly hair. Tybalt had longer hair when he was in his early teens and hates all the photos (or portraits, if we're talking about historical times) that show that he had medium hair lenght. When he was 17 he cut his hair either because it got in front of his eyes and bothered him when he used the sword (in historical times) or while he was fencing or boxing (in modern times). Another reason is because Tybalt always felt that long hair on men gave the impression of being dirty, and also because...he wanted to look a little more like his grandfather.

As we all already imagine, the Montys all have a lot of hair (not counting Patrizio who lost it due to old age) and Mercutio is very hairy on his body. But the Capps? Well. In my headcanon, As for hair, it's more a matter of luck. In fact, Consort has never suffered from hair loss, but Kent and Caliban have. I don't know about Albany and Cornwall, but what about Tybalt? According to my headcanon, Tybalt fortunately takes after his grandfather Consort BUT with some small downside. As I mentioned, like long hair, Tybalt believes that body hair also gives the impression of being dirty. Fortunately, being a man he rightly has his fair amount of body hair, but his body hair is few and being red-haired you don't see them so much. But, Instead he has a lot of hair on his face. I have the headcanon that he has this problem that ever since he entered puberty, he has a very thick beard and that it grows very quickly, which is why he is forced to shave it very often and this is why he is the only teenager in the entire game to have a bit of a beard.

I don't remember if I already wrote it. Those with light eyes tend to have vision problems, I imagine that Tybalt has very light gray eyes, so he uses glasses when he is at home and no one outside his home and family can see him. He is ashamed to be seen wearing glasses because he thinks he looks like a nerd. Outside the house he uses contact lenses.

I imagine Mercutio and Tybalt as more young adults than teenagers. This is because they grow really fast in the game. (If I'm not mistaken, Tybalt becomes an adult in a week, Mercutio in a little longer time)

I've probably already written this but I'll rewrite it. Tybalt speaks in Sim-English when he is too nervous, drunk or embarrassed to say something.

Tybalt keeps from crying every time he sees his sisters dressing up formal for special events because he imagines them as adults and married. This irritates him because he would never want any man to come close to them but at the same time he knows that he cannot keep them single and pure forever. If they have proms in Veronaville, Tybalt probably doesn't let his sisters dance with anyone. Instead he dances with both, growling at any male being who tries to approach them.

I know I have more headcanons on Tybalt than Mercutio, but I hope to have more on him in the future too (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠)

Capp Manor

I really, really hated the Capp manor in the Sims 2. It was one of the reasons I never played that family. So - while danjaley recreated it for her town and did a good job - I knew I would never keep it. I actually opened it up, took a look around, and said, "Yep, still hate it."

So in my town history, the old manor house burned down. Some sims whisper that those Monty boys had something to do with it. But, more likely it was Tybalt falling asleep while smoking his weed. In any event, if 'el cheapo' Consort supported the local fire district, the firemen wouldn't have taken that detour to the pizzeria when the call came in, saying his house was on fire. But he doesn't and they did. And the rest is history.

Luckily, the house was insured, so he was able to rebuild the place - bigger and better. Even had some simoleons left over to replace the non-existent horse barn he swore was on the property and lost in the fire.

Because he's older than dirt and stairs hurt his knees, his bedroom is on the ground level. It's a combo study, bedroom, dressing room, and bath.

And here's the rest of the floor.

The first bedroom, at the top of the stairs, belongs to Tybalt. It's also the biggest, because he's a guy and Consort is secretly patrilineal, even though he bowed to the Capp demand that he give up his surname when he married into the family. So, of course, his grandson gets the biggest and best room. Besides, Tybalt is the first male to be born into the family in several generations, so he IS the PRINCE!!!! And don't you forget it!

The two girls get what's left - Juliette in the one with the pink-striped bed and Hermia in the purple room. Juliette is actually happy she got the room she got, because it's close to the back stair, which makes it easier to sneak out. Hermia doesn't care. She's got her horse and that's all that matters to her.

Anyway, that's their new house. I do have to go back in and re-do the wallpaper on that one hallway wall. And fix the floor by the back stair case. But apart from that, it is what it is. I can't remember where I got this house. I think it was Mod the Sims, but it could have been TSR. In any event, I redecorated it inside and out. And I think it fits this family better. I do not plan on putting any family graves on this lot - like they had in the Sims 2. The Capps have a perfectly good church that they go to, that has an adjacent graveyard. So all the dead family members will go there. These aren't the Goths after all.

BTW, danjaley provided all the main families for this town - complete with their Sims 2 bios. Which is super nice. I have added to their stories here and there. Mostly to give more info on why they hate each other. For instance, Consort is a complete narcissist. He doesn't have a clue why his former college roommate and BFF got mad when he 1) secretly stole his fiancé and 2) ran off with her on the day they were to get married, leaving poor Patrizio standing there, waiting at the altar. Or why Pat got upset when Contessa and he talked her father into booting Patrizio out of the company he had helped build.

I have taken the sims into CAS - even though I hate it - because I use custom skins, hairs and make-up on my sims. Plus this was made a long time ago, and I decided to update their wardrobes a tad. But if you decide to use her world, she provides the families - and even a save file. I chose not to use the save because I knew I'd be making some changes to the town.

I play DoL as a dress up sim (lol) so I always like seeing how people dress up their PCs so... What clothes does Penelope have? If it's okay to ask! 👉👈

Oh my gosh! <3 Of course it's okay to ask! Thank you for taking an interest in my PC! Also playing it as a dress up sim is VALID. Lowkey I do that as well.

I have two options I use for the school uniform. I either use the school shirt and the long school skirt or the school overalls. Once I can afford them, I always buy kitten heels and a headband to look cute. I've gone back and forth on what color I use for the uniform, but lately it's been purple!

For swimwear, I start off buying the school swimsuit in whatever color the uniform is, because I think the matching is cute. Then when I have enough money I buy the cuter swimsuit, normally in pink, and not for swim class, but when I go swimming for artifacts at the beach or the lake, I wear the wetsuit.

For jobs around town I'll have a special little outfit designed to help boost my stats. I wear the nun uniform when I work at the temple, because it helps boost my purity. I wear a waitress uniform when I work at the cafe, because it helps my tips, and I splurge for the Victorian maid outfit when I do housekeeping. Any maid outfit will boost your housekeeping stat, but the Victorian one is the prettiest so it's the one I like to wear. (It's also the most expensive one. ;_;)

These are my two night uniforms. I'm either dancing or doing "other stuff" at the club/brothel. It takes a while for my exhibition to be high enough to let me wear just the cat bra/panties, but once I can wear them I think it's a very cute outfit. Then on Saturday nights I'm always with Avery, because I love him and I NEED money. I like wearing the fancy gothic gown, and I never play as a cross-dresser, but I think the top hat really brings the outfit together. (I have no style.) So even though it's a male-coded clothing item, I always add it in to be cute.

On weekends I try to use that time to do the more tedious gameplay stuff. My athletics stat is always horribly low, because I hate having to go to the park to run. Whenever I do try to get it up, I put on the cheerleading uniform, because I think the sports clothes give a slight boost to athletics. I also make sure it matches whatever school colors I'm working with at the moment. I don't make it to the farm often, because it's just so far awaaayyyyy, but when I do I wanna be the cutest little farmhand ever! So I wear the cowboy hat and the cow chaps and the plaid and the work gloves and yadda yadda. I wish I could wear the cowboy boots but for gameplay purposes I always wear the work boots, because they're rugged. Rugged footwear helps me not slip and hurt myself when I go exploring the moors.

Finally I have my everyday and my sleepwear outfits! I normally just stick with the white sundress you get at the beginning of the game, but once I learn how to make flower crowns with Robin I ALWAYS wear a flower crown. It doesn't affect the actual gameplay, but when I'm selling at the stall wearing a flower crown of my flowers I think it helps sell the quality of my product. Also, it's the cutest accessory in the game. Then for sleep I always buy the cow onsie, because yes you guessed it, I think it's the cutest. All of my clothing sets are motivated by how cute I think something is. Haha. But it also gives a boost to how effective your sleep is which I constantly need especially on the night of the Blood Moon, because I'm going to be real with you. I know the Ivory Wraith is a rather popular NPC, but I think he's too much trouble. I just have Penelope stay awake the entire night and then skip school the next day to catch up on her sleep. No possession for me. :3c

I also used to make her wear glasses with every outfit, because I myself have glasses and she's mostly a self-insert, but she's also a teeny bit of a physical wishfullment self insert, so in my ideal world I don't have shit eyesight and neither does Penelope.

currently i’m in college currently majoring in government. i’m still not completely sure what i want to do but i am considering political consulting or political journalism, eventually i do want to take a few years off to have kids though. looks wise im 5’1 with dark brown hair, dark brown eye, and pale skin. my mom used to call me snow white when i was younger, if that puts it into perspective. i’m an enfp. as for personality i’m talkative, smart, kind, motional, and loyal. i’d say my loyalty is my best trait, i will never turn my back on someone i care about and i’m always willing to help them. yet, i’m not patient, i try to be but its just so hard. also, i hate when people underestimate me. it is so fun to prove people wrong and show them how smart i actually am. i would say one of my more annoying traits is that i walk around the house singing most of the time. most of the clothes i wear are like brand names that i try to find on sale because i like them but i don’t have a lot of money. i love to spend time with people i care about and i hate to be alone. yet, i don’t need to interact with someone at all times, being in the same room is enough. my free time is mostly spent watching tv shows, i really like comedies, or playing video games, like calm farming sims. i typically date people that are opposite of me, more logical and serious. i wouldn’t say i need a lot of reassurance but it is nice when the person i’m dating calls me pretty or smart. some dreams of mine include going to greece because i love the architecture and having a family one day because i would love to be a mom.

He laughs easily and is actually pretty funny. He doesn't want to scare you, but he wants to be up front with you from the beginning: being in a relationship with him comes with a lot of baggage and danger. If you want to stop seeing him, for whatever reason, he's more than understanding. But you like him too much to let him go like that and you're more than capable of facing a little danger. Relationship Headcanon: Just like how Reggie wants reassurance, you do, too. This is a big part of your relationship: reassuring one another. Also if there is someone in the room without shoes - just socks, i will stay away from your feet. Meet My Sims (not completed household)

Hudson Hutchinson - Age 23

Hudson is currently my only male sim (plan on making more in the future) and here's his story. Hudson comes from a big family having a total of 4 brothers making his family a family of 7. Hudson was the second born of the Hutchison boys and his family had high hopes of him becoming something BIG one day. Hudson followed the modeling career because he knew he had what it takes to be a successful model, the body the face, they style. With is dreamy eyes he caught Madilyn's attention. Hudson likes Madilyn but he has yet to make his move on her.

Johanna Young Age 22

Johanna grew up in a really religious household so the pressure and exceptions were pushed onto her. Being the only daughter Johanna was expected to marry young but refused and went against her parents wishes to get married so young. When Johanna was 6, she received a mini camera which was given to her by her father as he wanted her to document her life so she had memories to look back at. She grew up knowing which angles are the best and how to properly light up the studio. Now she's 22 and she is our photographer and one of our models. Her parents ended up disowning her because of her choice to become a model and the way she dressed, but Johanna doesn't care as it was like a heavy weight was lifted off her back and she is just following her dreams.

Madilyn Lange Age 22

Madilyn grew up with hate surrounding her. She was always being picked on at school because of having such a heavy weighted body and her off-putting facial features. She always had a dream to look like other girls. After Marilyn graduated high school her father fell very ill and eventually ended up passing away in his sleep. Madilyn's father was the CEO of Lange's CO. He also left his only child (Madilyn) a load of money. With this money she decided to change everything about her. Getting facial plastic surgery along with a boob job, she also had the doctors remove all and any fat on her body so she could finally look like the other girls that bullied her. Madilyn hopes to pursue a relationship with Hudson, only she is wait for him to make the first move.

Honestly, I was talking to my brother and got another idea for a game. Especially after Princess Peach Showtime.

I'll preface this by saying PPS is the perfect game for girls and women imo. Female main character, outfit changes, aesthetic color scheme--everything about the game gave me nostalgia and it isn't even out! I'll be looking forward to playing it (if I have the money 😷) because it makes me actually feel like a female without the color pink as the only color or horrible gameplay attached to it.

But it's sad as hell that it takes so long for something like this to come out. I got Super Princess Peach a few years after it came out and as a little girl, that was the most enjoyment I got out of a game that didn't have hot male characters keeping my attention.

Obviously, the main issue is men game developers. I'm not gonna be all "video games are men's fantasies and bla bla" I don't care because all I want is for some games to be a woman's fantasy ☺

If I knew a female game developer, I would help her in a heartbeat to make a game that actually caters to what women look for in games. Men can keep Cammy being literally butt naked if I also can get Lee Chalon in more swimwear 😌.

I understand the sentiment of girl gamers and that if games didn't have "heterosexual man juice" sprayed all over it, things would be better for us; but it's not gonna change and I wouldn't want it to because I grew up with games that had big breasted women and useless damsels I had to save, and I love some of those games *cough*DMC*cough*. I just want there to be more on both ends of the spectrum.

So, honestly, that's my TED talk, but I at least wanted to show the kinds of ideas we could be getting alongside our usual games.

My first real idea is a collectathon for house items, clothes/outfits, and other accesories.

Imagine Mario Oddessy, but just with the clothes. Instead of collecting the moons, you'd collect various items of clothing you could dress your character up in. A sofa for the house you live in or an accessory to style an outfit with.

I think, just maybe, there's a correlation with Animal Crossing and The Sims being popular with a female audience.

Personally, I don't like the current climate of ignoring a woman's natural interest in fashion and things that look good. I get that it's a stereotype, but all stereotypes are based in reality.

It's bad that girls are being shunned away from wearing a pretty outfit just because that's seen as "girly", but guys are "cool" when they have a good fit and even get praised if they "break gender roles" [insert sigh here]. I even think about how much this would help trans girls to discovery themselves more.

And it doesn't have to be something stereotypically female either. I'd never wear a skirt or dress, but you best believe if a flowy jacket or cute sweater came my way, I'm wearing that shit and I'd love to play games that allowed it, if they weren't unplayable and unbearable.

I usually hate platformers, but I'd love one if my objective was to get clothes and other designing items for a house or my character.

Next Idea

Obviously, VNs are usually the games associated with women, but I'd enjoy one that had gameplay on the side. You know, scratch the itch that Obey me! just doesn't.

Obey Me! Is perfect having guys who are likable without forcing random female hate as "conflicts". However, there's nothing to the gameplay so I'm usually pretty bored after a while.

And even if there is some kind of gameplay, you usually are forced to be romantic and there's no platonic options. Like, I was reading a post by Hamilton Hour and a review said exactly how I feel, they said this:

A lot of the time, I feel like romance games often push you into pursuing a relationship with someone, and when you don’t, the character will get sad and then you feel awful about it.

Seriously, what is with games doing that? Why not give us more content in the game and make all three if you want. Like Stardew Valley, there's options to be an asshole, to be platonic and options to be weird/overtly romantic. It makes it interesting to replay the game and see different choices.

I got off track though, back to the VNs with no gameplay. I really mean for there to be more romance oriented VNs with male characters that have gameplay. Like, Phoenix Wright, Danganropa, or Professor Layton but with romance lol.

I say this because there's tons of dating sims where the primary objective is to date women and they're always super good. Again, if anyone needs help I'd be willing to work on creating a story. Just ask.

Next idea

This isn't really an idea, but just something I wanted to say.

I super want more fighting games with male options that don't look like they were made for no one to love. I just think it's so convenient that female characters who are made to be "unattractive" are still the prettiest things on the planet.

Also, has anyone ever noticed that male characters in fighting games that are attractive are always married or devoted to another? However, most women aren't. Like Mortal Kombat for example. Now, I don't play this franchise so I could be wrong, but I have seen it and try and keep with the latest releases.

And I just happened to notice that the human characters who are male are usually married or dating someone.

On the opposite end, females in Mortal Kombat are either widowed, single with someone who has just a crush on them, or so butch they don't care for romantic relationships.

You can't be more blatant than that.

Street Fighter takes the design approach to turn away women. Seriously, name one male character from SF who's traditionally attractive then name a female, I guarantee you, you'll run out of men.

Then there's Tekken, my favorite.

Tekken is my fav for that very reason. There's a wide range of characters who have no romantic involvement, but they look human and *gasp* they're attractive?? What kind of sorcery...

Well, why the hell isn't there a game where I'm saving Link (and no, the CDi games DO NOT count).

I mean in general, I'd love a game where you play as a heroine and you're saving a male character. Don't even get me started on the many ways that could work.

Like come on, is it that hard to make a male in need? No it's not, dudes are human too and sometimes they need help. Enough with this solo shit, if men could be alone than why the hell do they all want girlfriends or need wives make it make sense

All this is to say, female coders, developers, writers, we need ya'll 🗣🔊

And as I've said throughout this, I would not be opposed to helping someone create the story of a game they're developing.
