CUPID'S ARROWS EVENT || Closed.
@evilmcg sent: “Can I help you with something?” (for Evil Morty)
Morty found himself freezing in surprise for a moment when the voice that greeted him wasn't the one he had expected. After the odd events of the morning, he had decided to come and check on his counterpart. First of all to know whether anything weird had happened on the other Citadel too or not, and secondly, even if he wouldn't have admitted it openly, to make sure that the other hadn't been affected.
Yet, when he opened the door of the conference room, he hadn't found himself face to face with his mirror image, but with the last person he would have wanted to discuss the matter with.
Or, at least, that was what he would have thought until a moment before his gaze landed on Meg. Yet, after they did, he couldn't remember a single reason why he could have wished not to run into her.
"As a matter of fact, yes," he spoke, before his mind could catch up with the words. His charming president persona had automatically slipped in place, but there was something off about it. "In all truth, I was looking for you specifically."
A little lie, but spun so fluidly that it sounded like nothing but the honest truth. What was unsettlingly, however, was the intensity with which his amber eyes were locked on her.
"I've been...thinking," he went on, stopping right in front of her, a mere inch too close than it was proper. "All this...animosity isn't doing us any favour. So, perhaps, we should try to find a new ground for our interactions."
Swiftly but oh-so-gently, he caught her hand, lifting it up as he bent over to kiss it. The briefest, lightest touch, like a proper gentleman.

okay i want a mainline Pokémon game where the ‘end of the world’ plot scenario is actually the work of the legendaries. i want the final boss plot battle to be the protag taking on the legendary pokemon and the legendary understanding the protag’s feelings and choosing not to destroy humanity. i want the legendary to be telepathic and as spiteful of the human race as mewtwo. i want the legendary to be the party that’s critical of humanity and will take any means to destroy it. i want the bad guys to genuinely be a criminal organisation that all the npcs are theorising have a ‘weather machine’ theyre using to bring on the end through catastrophic weather but when you face their final boss and discover the extreme weather doesnt stop after defeating them, they go ‘wait we just steal Pokémon. Us stealing all those castform, or other weather-based original Pokémon for the series, that was purely coincidence.’ i want one of the rivals to be the other playable character and also catch the opposing legendary, also through bonding to do their best to save humanity, to battle you with their legendary just before you face the elite four. and i want the champion to join you on uncovering the catastrophic weather, see your development and look forward to battling you with that respect in mind. I want another genuinely sketchy rival like silver, who is nasty for the sake of being nasty. and additionally, I’d make it seasonal to encourage longer gameplay engagement (# bw supremacy). imagine the possibilities this could open up in choosing your characters dialogue. the possibilities of locking certain Pokémon to in-game weather events. this is the next Pokémon game I want.

A piece about survivors guilt.
This comic isn't perfect. I started it back in October 2023, and every time I picked up my pen, I wept.
I bring this to you today, on 9/11, in hopes that you reflect on this day a little differently than how most Americans would. Let it move you to continue to boycott, protest and challenge your family, friends and colleagues. You have a bigger impact than you would believe.
Thank you for reading this with an open heart.
From the river to the sea...
I'd like to bring to attention the fact that the figures depicted above are a gross undercount of the actual number of deaths. I scoured the internet high and low to source my findings and not a single one could break down the devastation that befell an individual ethnicity. Instead, they lumped a bunch of ethnicities together, provided a general timeline, and called it a day, reinforcing the sheer scale of dehumanization propagated in the west. The only consistency between all the articles I looked up was the 4.5 to 4.7 million figure I've included above, and even then, they were all published by western media news outlets... the very same that have been so unreliable and complicit in the genocide of Palestinians today. So I have to take everything they say with a grain of salt.
We are not just numbers.
All of us have ambitions and desires and lives worth living.
With that said, this is your friendly reminder to:
Donate an e-sim
Donate to PCRF to provide Palestinian children aid
Donate to Pious Projects to provide woman with feminine hygiene kits
Donate to CareForGaza to provide food to displaced families in Gaza either through their Gofundme or their paypal
Donate to any of the vetted gofundme campaigns on GazaFunds to help Palestinians trying to flee Gaza.
And if you or someone you know sees or experiences a hate crime and can afford it, SUE. This is a more effective use of your money than most realise. The reason zionists act with impunity is because of the normalization of white supremacy and oppression of ethnic minorities. Challenging that in any capacity tells them that there are consequences to their actions and makes them think twice before engaging in hate crimes and helps raise all of us up against the systems currently in place that let them get away with it.
If you can't donate or spend any money, you can:
Do your daily clicks.
Boycott targeted companies on the BDS list (if you're like me and you don't want a single dollar to go towards anything supporting Israel right now, you can use Bdnaash to double check what products are okay to buy, but the BDS list is sufficient as it is a strategic attack and proven very effective thus far)
Flood your representatives emails and voicemails with how you won't be voting for them unless their politics align with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Attend a protest, be LOUD.
Challenge your circle of friends, family and colleagues with conversations about Palestine. (THIS IS THE MOST UNDERRATED AND MOST EFFECTIVE THING YOU CAN DO)
and if you're really up to, be disruptive in any capacity that you can think of towards major corporations benefiting from this onslaught. (i.e. halting military manufacturers from production + shipments, sticking boycott stickers on products at your market etc)
And finally, if your country wasn't mentioned in the above excerpt, it was no deliberate omission on my part and I encourage you to come forward and tell your story about the suffering of your people so that this may be a learning opportunity for everyone.
You are seen.
You are not alone.
Thank you again if you've read this far.
From the river to the sea...

@evilmcg sent: Meg had just given her boyfriend a kiss. Telling him she loved him before saying her goodbye. Then suddenly turning to Mortimer. Giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Leaving a lipstick mark as a result. "I loathe you. I'll see you later." With that, she was off.
Morty would have never admitted it, but the kiss caught him off guard. He always tried to be ready for everything and he could have said with pride that he managed to do it most of the times, but this particular occasion apparently couldn't be labelled as one of his successes.
The president didn't remain frozen in his spot for long, but it was still enough for his surprise to be noticeable. Especially considering that he was standing next to the person who, together with his second-in-command, had the easiest time reading his body language when he wasn't carefully masking it.
Dismissing the hint of annoyance the fact brought to him, he calmly pulled out a handkerchief from the pocket of his trousers and used it to remove every trace of lipstick from his cheek. Under other circumstances, he would have merely walked off to take care of the many affairs that waited for his attention, but not this time. He could feel the very much expected tension rising in the air between him and his other self.
After all, they still hadn't breached the subject of whatever...this thing involving the both of them and Meg was. And they wouldn't now either, because he didn't want to. Not when he was being offered the perfect chance to make a much interesting and pleasant move.
Innerly steadying himself, Mortimer turned to look at his counterpart, eyes half-lidded and lips shaped in a light, but confident curve. There was an oddly fierce, purposeful glint in his gaze and it seemed to grow stronger as he stepped closer, sliding into his other self's personal space as if he had belonged there.
"You know, other me, it feels like something is...missing," he started in a conversational tone, reaching out to adjust the collar of his counterpart's shirt, his fingers not so accidentally brushing the side of his neck. "Like a circle waiting to be closed."
His eyes not-so-subtly fell on the other's lips, lingering for a moment too long, before they rose up again to meet those golden-brown orbs. He wouldn't have admitted it, but under his bold facade he was feeling nervous. This was usually his counterpart's script, not his. He never initiated their flirty interactions, he merely played along...if he even did.
Being the one throwing out such an open invitation, to take the risk of being turned down...He was completely out of his comfort zone. Yet, he also knew that, if he hadn't at least tried, he would have ended up regretting it.
"I think this calls for one last step. We...You and I should kiss too."
